Okay. I know it's on that bump-like thing on the saucer, but they're also the white-ish rectangular spots on the box-like thing on the back of the Akira and Miranda classes, right?

I've got good news, and I've got bad news. The good news is, I got my 3d modeling tool working again. The bad news is, the model file is saved on a different hard drive and I can't boot it to get the files I need.

I have a new idea for the ship, multi-layer shields. I was watching Star Trek: Generations and saw how knowing the frequency of a shield can cause your shots to go right through.
The problem with multi-layer shields is that you can not fire through them. But if you set up a system that tells all layers to change to a specific frequency at the point of firing, then you got a shot through and still keep yourself mostly safe.
Another problem is that multiple shields probably require a lot of power. Well, I already had the idea of multiple cores, so that solves the energy problem.
Until I get the 3d model back, then I guess it sounds like a good time to discuss tech specs.

Interesting idea
its funny... the drawing on page one isnt far from reality... i mean even the most modern of starfleet vessels are built off the same treid and true design premise...primary hull(saucer section),secondary hull(engineering section) and finally 2 nacelles.
as for the nacelles themselves they seem to be tos era in that you can visably see the off axis feild controllers and bussard collector domes...however this can be remedied by a simple nacelle housing. Having those inner workings exposed is a flaw in judgement as even multi layer sheilds arent going to help protect them...one good shot before you get your sheilds up could render yuor warp system useless.

Good point, I'll look into that when I finally retrieve the files.
