4.5 Celestial Mary

The Galaxy slipped away from the Celestial Mary as did the small Romulan Shuttle. It leapt to warp whilst the large starfleet vessel merely raised shields and moved to safer distance.
The timed and carefully placed charges exploded in uniform. The detonation created a shockwave that rippled out like a pebble thrown in a lake. It wasn't all that was thrown. The explosion in the enginnering section of the starliner blew free the forward section. The debris was accelerated like a bullet and sped towards the station.
Magellan stood in Ops,
"Well done Captain" He thanked Elarus who was just up dating him, "Come on home and take that shoreleave of yours."
VRRROOOP VRROOP VRRRROOOP VRROOOP
Klaxons rang throughout the station.
"Collision Alert Collision Alert" Lily announced calmly almost coldly.
Magellan leapt towards the Master Ops Table.
"Its a fragment of the Mary" F'Rass noted,
"Raise shields. Bring the Defence Grid online" Magellan ordered
"Insufficient time" Lily responded "Collision to Habitat Section in 4...3...2...1............."
There was a deafening roar. The station rocked. A small plume of fire erupted into space deep enough to be viewed from Ops before the vacuum squeezed the life from it. A dozen more alarms sounded as the lights went out.

"My God." Felix exclaimed from his position beside Captain Voran.
The impact had skewed Assailant orbit, it hung at an angle to the planet below. a massive hole gaped in its centre. Far smaller than if the whole ship had struck the station but still enough to cause significant damage. Debris, detritus and bodies could be seen floating out into space.
TAG: Okay that kinda wraps that mission, those of you outside the station can sim responses but next mission will start with finding out how people are aboard Assailant and how you lot outside are going to help.
