Commander park ordered her to take the bridge and she replied "Aye sir." She stepped up the the command chair and sat in the captain's chair as Jon left the bridge. "Helm continue the search pattern, Move on to grid 3."
Parker was sitting in the command chair for less then 20 Min's when Jon returned to the bridge. 30 seconds lated Admiral Lin exited the lift and went off on Commander Park. Lily listened to Jon as he held back trowing the Admiral off his bridge but was still shocked he stood up to Lin. Parker took the helm back.
Parker saw a flash and heard Commander Thomas report about the Klingon ship. Parker put her hands to the Controls. "I have a course plotted back to the nebula Sir." Addressing Park but was sure Admiral Lin would say something.

{Tholia, Chamber of the Assembly}
Belkan looked around the large circular chamber, its eight levels all jostling with activity. Sitting on the third level he knew everyone lower down than himself as well as those on his level but the people above he had difficulty in knowing their goals. Each level except for the upper most level had 15 seats each with a Tholian delegate either sitting or to one side of the chair discussing the imminent votes that were meant to have started minutes ago ‘it is not like the Lord Marshal to be late’. The Assembly had wanted to complete the final discussions and vote on the issue today but with the Lord Marshal still not present the Kal’Var was unwilling to call the meeting to order and the Mistress of Justice had not spoken either way, this left those present with little to o but to scheme and plot. Each person present had been voted in by the Tholian people, but only those on the lowest tier were recently, for once you are voted in, only by resigning, dying or being voted out by the assembly would see your time here ended. As those higher up left those below moved up until they stood on the seventh level where they would remain unless lucky enough to rise to the final tier.
The eighth level, towering over the others was a single balcony instead of the circle layers of the other tiers. On this balcony stood three chairs, the chair to the left golden and gleaming as if made of crystal belonged to the Head of Justice, at this time Mistress of Justice Keline present sat upon the chair watching those below, her duty was to ensure the laws were obeyed and was selected by the person who sat on the centre chair. The chair to the right, as black as space and as solid as stone, was the chair for the Head of the Military, at this time the Lord Marshal Gabriv was not present and which seemed to be the only person not present, it annoyed Belkan that the man was not to be found, his position was gained though his promotion in the military so was the only person here that was not voted a position. The centre of this little tier held two chairs, one on the same level as the other two while a fourth chair stood upon a dais behind, both chairs looked like they had been carved from crystal, but anyone who looked at them would wonder if they had grown that way, the chair upon the dais belonged to the empress, but to Belkan’s knowledge the Empress had never sat on the chair, nor ever been present before the assembly. The final chair belonged to the Kal’Var, the leader of the Tholian people, voted into office by the assembly he or she would rule for ten years at which point they will leave the assembly and can never return. Only the empress can remove a Kal’Var but it was rare and barely remembered.
The present Kal’Var had ruled now for almost ten years and all present were aware that the time for a new Kal’Var to rise up neared, some had suggested Keline but Belkan knew she would never get it and would find herself cast out from the assembly unless the new Kal’Var was feeling generous. Belkan looked around the room, ‘maybe they are not discussing the vote this day but thinking of the vote soon to come, i just hope they do not end up fighting like the last time’. Belkan could not remember when the last time a new Kal’Var had been voted into office as he had only been 10 at the time, at 19 he was the youngest Assembly member and had risen quite quickly though the ranks. Belkan was seated when a door above him slammed shut, looking up he saw the Lord Marshal taking his seat which told him that the meeting should soon begin. The Kal’Var stood slowly from her seat, old yet strong, the Kal’Var looked at those below her and spoke “Assembly members, be seated” she waited a few moments while everyone took their seats ‘this shall be a long morning’. “With the arrival of the Lord Marshal we shall begin, the first order of business is the continuing diplomatic relations with the Federation, some among you have voiced a dislike of this and have called for a review of this decision, i open the floor”.
Belkan did not listen to what came next, as each person stood up one by one going around the 7th level Belkan thought of the ambassador that they had sent, Lovine was a strong Tholian, yet he had always admired her for the acts she did to ensure the Tholian peoples safety. Belkan had voiced his belief that Lovine was the best choice when the assembly first voted to send a more senior ambassador to the Federation and now he would have to voice his wish for her to remain there unhindered. The speakers moved around the room and then down, on and on until finally it reached Belkan, already Belkan knew that most were already happy to vote to maintain so feeling he did not need to add anymore he simply rose and then returned to his seat showing he was not going to speak. The process went on until the last person on the first tier had sat down, at this point the Kal’Var stood “An interesting debate, we have 4 voteable options, the first is to allow Lady Lovine to continue her efforts unhindered, the second is to place new commands to Lady Lovine, the third is to replace Lady Lovine and finally the fourth is to sever all ties with the Federation.” Taking her seat once more the room went dark.
Belkan moved his left hand towards his consol, as it glowed lightly he saw the five options appear on the screen, it was customary to lower the lights during a vote so no one could watch another vote, looking at all five he noted that the option to table the issue was in the middle this time, tapping the option to leave well enough alone Belkan waited. It seemed like an eternity when finally the lights returned to full, everyone waited for the computer to output the results until finally a male voice rang out from the ceiling “The results are as follows, Option A 27 votes ...” Belkan flinched as he had not expected the low score “...Option B, 29 votes. Option C, 26 votes. Option D, 2 votes. To Table, 24 votes” At this moment the Kal’Var rose and looked around, “with 29 votes we have voted to issue new orders about all dealing with the federation. I will send these orders upon the completion of this Assembly. Next order of business, the war with the Klingons and the use of the Weapon, as this has been discussed at length i will call the vote now to allow us to move on, the options are, to use the weapon, or to just activate the weapon, or to leave the weapon offline” returning to her seat the room was once again plunged into darkness. This had been a tricky issue, Belkan did not like the idea of this sort of weapon, nor did he like the idea of undoing Lovine’s work but the people were crying out for it and if the assembly did not do it soon they could have a revolt. Belkan voted to activate but not launch the weapon and hoped that many did the same.
As the lights returned the computer was fast to report the results of the vote, to which Belkan was happy as he waiting was already annoying him. “The results are as follows, Option A, 35 votes. Option B, 49 votes. Option C, 24 votes. To Table, zero votes” the noise was immense, many disliked the result while many more were happy with the result, Belkan believed that was the only things that were up for discussion this day so he began to prepare to leave when the Kal’Var rose, “I have one last order of business to bring before us before i let you leave. As you all know in 22 days i shall cease to be the Kal’Var, and as such it is my last duty to ensure a new Kal’Var is voted in. As such i am calling to all those who wish to nominate are to place this into the computer by tomorrow night. Before the next Assembly i shall speak to the nominated candidates and allow them each the chance to back down before the vote.” Belkan did not like this, ‘i thought she would wait longer, what is she up to?’ she looked around the chambers once before speaking again “You may leave honoured Members, may Tholia stand strong”.
Belkan left his seat to make his way around the tier to the door, he was thankfully not far from it as he wanted to get away to think about today’s results. Walking through the corridors leading away from the Assembly’s chambers Belkan heard raised voices ahead, unsure what would be going on he rushed carefully forward to listen. “.. I have heard that Lovine has been poisoned at last, that idiot took his time, now the blame should fall on the Klingon and that will give us the ability to get those weapons fired at every Klingon planet.” “But if the Assembly learn of our hands in this it could work against us and even reveal our true nature” the second voice was hushed by the first. “Not hear, we will speak later, after i have checked in with our little friend on the Nevada”. Belkan moved carefully to conceal himself as two people moved away, Belkan could not tell who they were but if the news was true he did not have much time. Sure that the two had left Belkan moved out from his hiding place and ran down the corridor hoping that he would not arose to many questions as he ran.

".. Poisoned you said? How? When? Surely you don't think Lin would.."
Seth gave Tedak a look suggesting he should continue with his theorisation, indicating that there was more to it than that. He was taken aback at this new knowledge of the drink Tedak had with Lovine. It put him very much in the frame.
"No, Lin certainly wouldn't. Ahh, you think I did...no I didn't. Why would I want to kill her?" Tedak asked.
"You tell me," Seth said. In truth, he had no idea who would want to poison Lovine except for the Klingon Ambassador, but from the description the Ops Chief had been given of Korok he would not have thought it possible; in addition it would be a stupendously foolish move to make, particularly for an Ambassador on another.
Tedak continued to absorb the information, rubbing his temples and appearing as if - in his current state - this was certainly not what he needed on his mind. The Romulan shot another round of quickfire questions at Seth, expecting concise answers that the Wezean was not able to give.
"Lovine is alive," Seth said waving his hands at the Romulan and his rapid line of questioning. "That is all I know, Ambassador. She is currently in sickbay under the care of our Chief Medical officer. Now, I must head to sickbay. And I'm afraid that we will be investigating you and all others associated with this. These security crewmen will supervise your activity until further notice." Seth nodded at the Romulan and left his quarters, stopping in the exit and nodding at the security staff in confirmation of his orders.
<tag Tedak>
Seth watched the Tholian, motionless in her encounter-suit, her bulky body sprawled on a biobed under intense supervision. The siliconate lifeform was surrounded by a medical stasis field, which provided a very thin gauze to the enclosed space. Helacaan did find himself interested in this lifeform, but only from a purely biological standpoint. His liaison status to this lifeform meant that interest did not serve that well, but he may not be liaison for that much longer...
"I believe I asked you to look after our guests. I do not call having them poisoned doing your duty." Seth spun around in surprise; in front of him was the seemingly towering Admiral Lin. He ordered him to investigate the Romulan and also check up on Korok.
"Yes, sir..." Seth said, at first momentarily confused by the aggressive tone Lin was taking.
"I want answers Lieutenant and I want them soon or else you'll be transferred to Tug duty faster than you can blink and that will be the end of your career. Thomas follow me."
Now Seth was stunned. Amidst it though, as he watched Lin's retreating back, was a small amount of simmering anger. The shock soon gave way to this as it began to boil hot. Seth had to halt the retorts that were accelerating fast through his mind up to the surface, lest they make it out and end his career right here. Right here would be bad indeed. Later on.. perhaps not as much; not if he was to be treated like that. Seth was fuming, and while he did eventually manage to let it pass through him, he was nearly overwhelmed in the process of doing so.
Seething, and taking a couple of shuddery angry breaths to calm himself, Seth approached Lucy Grey. "Doctor," he addressed her and waited for her to turn from her intensive work. "The Admiral wants us to check for evidence of the Romulan Tedak's involvement in this. Is there a way you can think of to do that from analysing Lovine? If so, could you do me a favour and do so? Thanks," he grinned at her, practically running from the sickbay. As much as he really enjoyed speaking to Lucy Grey he unfortunately had more pressing matters to deal with.
<tag Grey>
En route to the bridge, Seth made calls to areas of his Ops department, requesting they start searching internal sensor records; hopefully they could find something that identified a culprit in Lovine's poisoning, possibly showing Tedak doing something untoward with the Tholian's drink... Seth would not be assuming anything, but he at least needed a theory.
Not long after he'd returned to the bridge, a Negh'var class Klingon warship decloaked off the Nevada's rear port quarter. Seth had slunk to his station, wondering but not at all caring if Admiral Lin was looking at him.
"Sirs, they are powering up the relay grids for their transporters," Seth reported quietly, looking up briefly from his console at Lin and Park. He didn't need to tell them that - what was presumably Ch'lork - planned to transport over soon. He would have to get through the Nevada's shields first of course, but the heavy weaponry appended to a Negh'var would make short work of those defence fields provided the Akira class Nevada stayed perfectly stationary.
They would not be doing that surely. The Akira class was relatively agile, and making itself a hard target to hit for a hulking Klingon battleship would mean its.. appreciably sizeable, main disruptor cannons would not be able to get a proper hit if any on the Nevada.
<tag Lin/Park and helm>
Seth anxiously checked his chronometer; this was the last thing he needed when he needed to be seeing the Klingon Ambassador.

Through half-closed eyes, Tedak wearily watched the two security officers that were left with him. "Make yourselves comfortable," he told them both, "I'm sure you're swift enough to follow if I leave my quarters. To give you advance notice, I'm going to sickbay in a minute, after I've freshened up."
The Romulan gestured to the replicator in his quarters. "Help yourselves, I won't be long." He was certain he saw the two guards blink in surprise. ~Chew on that~ the Romulan thought grimly ~I bet you never had a Romulan co-operate with you before, without argument~ He disappeared into the bathroom again, this time switching on the sonic shower. The guards could hear it start it's cycle as well as the sound of clothes being discarded. Wrapped in a dark blue bathrobe, the Romulan padded from bathroom to bedroom, ignoring the guards that were watching him like hawks.
Minutes later, he returned, this time dressed in a dark blue suit, coved with a deep scarlet robe. The Romulan preferred to dress in robes, finding them less constricting, but often found himself wearing a suit while on official business somewhere. Still, the sleeveless robes helped him conceal his personal weapon, which suited him fine. Gesturing to the guards, he made for the door and walked out without giving them any further notice.
He walked into sickbay, looking and feeling a little more alive than he had before, but his head was still pounding. Squinting against the bright ilumination, shielding his eyes to protect them, he sought out the chief medical officer. "How is Ambassador Lovine?" he asked quietly, sounding almost demanding, "is she all right?"
<Grey>
"Thank you doctor. If Lovine needs anything of me, page me on the bridge and I'll be right down." He glanced over his shoulder at the guards, while briefly considering asking for a painkiller for his headache. Finally, he decided against it, feeling that since this was his own stupid mistake, he'd deal with it as it came. "Gentlemen?" he nudged his guards, then walked out.
On the bridge, he noticed Lin wasn't without guard either, which made him arch an eyebrow in surprise, while looking straight at the Trill. "Are you in jeopardy admiral?" he asked innocently, nodding towards Commander Thomas, while attempting to ignore the hovering presence of his own duo. He knew they'd rather have him back in his quarters and knew Lin well enough to know he was quite capable of having him thrown off the bridge. "Any news in regards to the Tholian activity in this sector? And Klingon involvement?"

"Doctor, the Admiral wants us to check for evidence of the Romulan Tedak's involvement in this. Is there a way you can think of to do that from analysing Lovine? If so, could you do me a favour and do so? Thanks."
"Certainly. But why would Tedak have anything to do with Lovine's collapse?" Lucy shook her head. She wouldn't be getting any answers and she knew it. "I'll do my best, Seth."
Seth grinned at her, practically running from the sickbay.
Dr. Grey uttered to Lt. Helacaan's back, "Damnit, Seth, I'm a doctor, not isotronic radiation."
Without thinking any further in Seth's direction, Lucy returned her attention to the Tholian. Lucy worked at reading the bio cluster then asked the computer to call up all known facts on Tholian physiology. The readout gave her one square inch of information. Not much there. Maybe calling in an expert would be in order.
=/\= "Commander Park, do we have a Tholian physician available for consultation?" =/\=
<TAG: Park>
=/\= "No worries, We can wait until then." =/\=
"How is Ambassador Lovine?" Ambassador Tedak asked quietly, sounding almost demanding, "is she all right?"
"For the moment, ambassador. I'm doing everything I can."
"Thank you doctor. If Lovine needs anything of me, page me on the bridge and I'll be right down."
Dr. Grey noticed the dilated eyes, the small blood vessels that had broken before Tedak could turn away. Should she offer a pain killer?
Just what had Tedak been doing with the Tholian ambassador? It seemed that whatever was wrong with Lovine was also wrong with Tedak.
Lucy glanced back at the ant/spider-looking alien. "Nurse Harden, check for transferrin. Prepare a serum to combat hemochromatosis."
"Why not just let the insect die?" Harden asked quietly.
Lucy didn't look up but signaled to Nurse Story to come closer. "Nurse Harden, you are relieved of duty. Report to the Gamma Shift supervisor within 48 hours."
Knowing her error, Julia Harden slowly removed her exam gloves and left the room.
Lucy gazed into the crystalline eyes of her patient and apologized for her staff but mostly for herself.

Jon knew the voice of his doctor. =/\= Sorry doctor we don't, I know there is one at the starbase.=/\=
=/\= "No worries, We can wait until then." =/\=
Jon turned to Commander Thomas as he listened to admiral Lin spoke to the Klingons. Thomas motioned for him to head over to tactical. Jon saw a secure communique from starfleet marked priority one. Lin was trying to talk the Klingon's. Jon entered his command codes and saw a text. Jon read it and was shocked, Starfleet command had assigned a Maine as Captain of the Nevada. Jon thought he was going to be given command given the way his questioning.
Jon also read orders to meet up with his new Captain in 4 days in the Harper expanse. Captain Running wolf was on the Transport ship Orca. Jon over heard the Klingons agree to follow the Nevada back to Starbase. Jon ordered helm to set course for Starbase.

The Nevada was in good hands, her crew knew her inside out and kept her free from the thundering disruptor bolts of Ch'lorks vessel.
"Mr Hellacan could you see to the security of our Ambassadors" Magellan ordered, Whilst Park sat in the command chair keeping the Nevada in one peace.
The door swished open admitting Tedak and a minder onto the bridge.
"We are a little busy Ambassador" Magellan replied curtly, despite their best effort a close shot grazed their shields causing the ship to shake ominously,
"So I see" Tedak replied, "Ch'lork I take it?"
"The very same" Magellan replied leaning over a console to monitor the situation, "He ambushed us. Mighty odd that he knew we were after him, but thats a debate for later. At the moment we are in a stalemate. We are too fast for him to hit but we arent strong enough to take him out. His vessel has some serious upgrades."
Tedak looked at the main viewer that showed the vast hulk of the Klingon ship turning slowly as they zipped swiftly beneath it lighting up the ventral shields with precise phaser shots as they did.
"Perhaps now is the time to talk?" Tedak suggested "This is a diplomatic mission after all"
Magellan looked at Tedak, "We shall see. Mr Park Hail Ch'lork."
Commander Park nodded and relayed the order. A brief interval passed before Ch'lorks gim visage filled the screen.
"General. I am..."
"I know who you are." Ch'lork growled,
"Then you know I have the power to negogiate. Let us end this."
"You want to arrest me, that is not an honourable exit for a Dahar Master."
"No but I can offer amnesty to your crew. Do you want your whole staff to join you in dishonour, is that an honourable course?"
Ch'lork looked at him askance.
"We could just leave." he suggested
Magellan shook his head, "Not going to happen. We arent the only starship on your trail and its doubtful you would escape federation space. Youve made your point. You destroyed Aenvolis. Don't let allof your crew suffer for your crime. Surrender to me and they will recieve amnesty."
Ch'lork paused, considering the offer.
"I agree. We shall follow your vessel to which ever base you wish. There I will hand myself over to your authority."
"Excellent" Magellan smiled "Mr Park please set course for Assailant."
***
"I am stunned by your cowardice" Larak growled at Ch'lork, "I looked up to you"
"Silence ptagh" Chlork bellowed "you know nothing of my honour. I will not dishnour my crew but neither will I place my head in the Trills noose. I too shall retain honour or a glorious death."
Larak gave him a quizzical look,
"The trill was right. We can't catch the Nevada and she can't harm us. It would only be a matter of time before other ships arrived perhaps even the Chancellors shiops, would we then fire on our brothers. NO. I may disagree with peace with the tholians but I won't dishonour ourselves by killing fellow klingons. Instead my crew will be free. I however plan to continue my crusade."
"How" Larak questioned
"By going aboard the Nevada and killing the Tholian Ambassador there. Starfleet are weak minded they believe us impotent, their shields are lowered whilst in Warp and Myself and my honour guard will beam aboard."
"Transport at warp!!!"
Ch'lork grunted "Death or glory."
He beckoned to his three guards and then at a Bekk at a console.
"Transport" he ordered as he hefted his batleth and disappeared from the cruiser and reappeared on a quiet corridor on the Nevada.

He'd be on the transport ship for a few more days until the Nevada managed to pick him up. He felt odd not sick but just odd now he was going to be a captain of a ship he didn't know much about and a crew he never encountered before. The Nevada was a old ship she was no El-Salvador still he had study her lines and what she came equiped with. She was a old girl but still had some life left in her.
He read the reports of the current mission and was monitoring the communications messages. They just engaged a klingon ship which out gunned them but the Nevada was quicker. Still he hoped is first command wouldn't end with the ship being destoryed before he even got on board. Looking over at the transport captain " Is there anyway you can get me aboard faster thats my ship out there"
As he waited for a response he noticed by the passenger list there was a replacement officer on board for the Nevada. He was going to have to stop by and check up on him and introduce himself. While he waited for the transport captain to figure out if he could speed up there drop off time. He worried a klingon captain willing to surrender so easy did not fit the klingon profile. Every alarm in his head was going off he only hoped that who ever was running his ship would realize something was not right.

Jon listened to Lin and the Klingon captain, Jon knew a Captain of the Klingon empire wouldn't just give him him self up. Jon thought back to when the he was on the Klingon ship rescuing his sister.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 15 years earlier
The Klingon bird of pray Nor'tok flew from Earth and headed back to the Empire. In the hold there were several human children there. They kidnapped the sisters of the cadets in what they found to be a secret Klingon training camp. Jon and his friend Jake Marcus made they way on the ship with out being found.
Jake and Jon both had phasers with them that they took from the storage room from Starfleet Prep school. Jon also took a civilian version of a Starfleet communicator. He knew he was going need ship getting off. Jon and Jake were in the Shuttle bay of the ship, Jon took out his tricorder and scanned the area around the bay. There were no Klingon's in the immediate area. He picked up three about 200 meters away from there location. Jake moved into the corridor and moved to the end where they had to split up. Jon went left and Jake went right.
Jon scanned his corridor and saw 4 Klingon's standing around a large room. Jon checked the setting's on his phaser but since it was a training phaser it was set to stun, that was ok Jon didn't want to kill anyone just find his sister and the other girls. Jon aimed for the Klingon's and was about to fire when he saw a different idea there was an open panel to the right of them and Jon thought he saw a EPS power tap. Jon fired his phaser and took out the panel. the lights went out in his area of the deck and he heard a alarm go off. Jon ducked into a room just his left as the three Klingon's turned and ran past his location.
Jon stood by the door ready in case one of them came in to check the room but they didn't. Jon slide out and took aim at the lone Klingon, He took him down with one shot. Moving to the big door Jon used the tricorder to open the door and there was 4 of the girls, his sister was not with them. Jake contacted him over the communicator. "Jon i found your sister heading to the shuttle bay. Contact starfleet."
Jon moved with the girls following him back to the shuttle bay, meeting up with Jake he used the communicator to contact starfleet. "Starfleet command this is Cadet Jon Park on the klingon ship Nor'tok, Myself and Cadet Marcus have been taken hostage with 8 Prep school girl. We have located and rescued them, Requesting assistance."
Starfleet didn't reply but the USS Intrepid did. "Cadet Park this is Captain Dixon of the Starship Intrepid. We received your call and are coming to assist. Standby our ETA to you is one hour."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 15 years later
Jon stood on the bridge of the USS Nevada and knew something was wrong. Admiral Lin ordered the Nevada back to Starbase. Jon gave the order but Jon knew when they entered warp there Shields would drop for a second. Jon knew how to prevent that. "Commander Thomas i want our Shields to remain up." Lin looked at him but before he could ask Park said to him. "Sir don't you think that was a little to easy. You know i have a history with Klingon's. On the Nor'tok when a set of klingons took a bunch of Prep School school girls, Myself and Cadet Marcus rescued them but before we got away the Klingon captain attacked the Intrepid."
Lin was listening to him with interest. "When the intrepid turned to leave. A group of klingon's transported on board and attacked us. Captain Dixon gave the crew of the Nor'tok amnesty as well even after the failed attack yet, the captain attempted to leave the captain beamed aboard and tried to kill the crew."
<Tag Lin>
Jon then turned to the ambassador standing by his command chair. A tall yet lean man. Park thought he looked about 45 but knowing Vulcan and romulian's are of similar stock could be over 100 years old. Jon addressed Tedak. "Your thoughts ambassador."

Seth remained at his station until the time was such that Admiral Lin told him to do otherwise. His anger with the Admiral now subsided, the Ops chief listened without prejudice to his superior.
"Mr Hellacan could you see to the security of our Ambassadors" was all the Admiral said.
"Yes, sir," Seth said, for once feeling an eagerness to see to his duty. Just as he pushed away from his console with the palms of his outstretched arms, he saw the sensor readings for the transporters. The relays were hot and running, and if Seth had to hazard a guess as to Klingon power system configuration readings - which he really knew little about - he would say a matter stream was being aimed for the Nevada - relatively straightforward at sublight incidentally.
Seth felt the Nevada jump to warp as he rode the turbolift down to deck 8. He wondered where the Admiral and Commander Park were taking the ship, but now he had to deal with the security of Ambassador Korok. Last he'd checked the Klingon ambassador had been supervised by four security guards - all for his own protection, two situated outside his quarters and the other two at other points in that particular vicinity of deck 8.
He nodded to the two security guards outside, indicating with empathy that they should move away from the quarters and out of sight, lest Korok took things the wrong way. He chimed the bell. "Ambassador Korok, are you there sir. I am Lieutenant Seth Helacaan."
He heard a grunt from within and hesitated, but decided he had better make a decision. He opened the door and entered into the marginally dark quarters, permeated only slightly by a red glow from each of the walls. Korok turned unsteadily to face Seth, he was swaying slightly. This coupled with the empty bottle of Klingon Blood Wine, rolling on its side uncertainly on the coffee table, suggested to him that the Ambassador was probably intoxicated. This was confirmed when the Klingon stumbled forward, practically falling as he tried to ask Seth the purpose of his visit.
Shaking his head, Seth tapped his commbadge to open a channel to sickbay, "Doctor? This is Seth, do you recall me warning you that I may be bringing in an alcohol-poisoned Klingon?" Seth was relishing the coming reply, so when there was only silence he was disappointed. Instantly analysing the situation he made two possible and plausible theories: one, the commline was broken at sickbay's end; two, the comm was broken in his immediate vicinity. "Ensign Rush, come in... Ensign Davies?" Those were the security guards, and there was again no response.
He lowered the Klingon whom he had caught from falling on to the couch and scampered outside. As soon as he exited the lights went out. A flash of steel, the quick shuffling of metal-shod feet and a guttural cry told Seth exactly what was happening. A bat'leth grazed his arm heavily and he let out a yelp. Laceration number four on his left arm at last, it had finally caught up with his other arm. Bittersweet then? Certainly not. All he tasted was the bitterness of blood in his mouth as the unseen warrior knee'd him in the jaw.
Drawing his phaser he'd been obligated to arm himself with on this outing, he twisted and fired at the dark silhouette backed against the corridor wall display. The klingon collapsed to the floor and Seth ran to sickbay with another warrior in hot pursuit. He used his commbadge again on the way and was relieved to find that the jamming had only extended to the previous section.
"Doctor Grey! This is Seth Helacaan. There are multiple Klingon warriors aboard the Nevada. They may be after the ambassadors, particularly the Tholian Lovine. I am en route to sickbay, in the mean time I'm using my authority as a line officer to order you to lock down sickbay. Don't let anyone in unless it is me."
<Tag Dr. Grey>
A seemingly spinning disc, glinting with a silver sheen slashed lethally across Seth's right shoulder blade. "Aarghh!" he cried, turning around to see the Klingon who had just threw the Dak'tagh at him; he gave the Klingon an equally vicious look that he was giving him, an expression of challenge unparalleled by any other strain of humans in the galaxy, it was something the Wezeans were unrivalled in. He kept running.
"Bridge, COO, security to sickbay and all ambassadors' quarters now. Internal sensors are offline, there are an unknown number of Klingons aboard the Nevada, Ch'lork is likely among them... He may be heading for sickbay."

As Park was looking at Commander Thomas he shook his head. "Sir Shields dropped." Just as Thomas said that 3 Klingon's transported to the bridge. Jon graped the phaser at security and jumped the console knocking Lin into the Ready Room. Hitting the Padd he locked the door. Thomas graped a phaser and both Jon and Thomas took out a Klingon the last one ducked into the turbolift.
Park slapped his combadge. "Park to all security team we have been boarded by Klingon's. All teams not engaged in battle head to the ambassadors quarters. Alpha team to sickbay. All hands arm your self's." Jon said just as Seth's voice came over the comm.
"Bridge, COO, security to sickbay and all ambassadors' quarters now. Internal sensors are offline, there are an unknown number of Klingon's aboard the Nevada, Ch'lork is likely among them... He may be heading for sickbay."
Jon tapped the command to open the ready room and Lin stepped pout with a phaser of his own. "Sorry sir, couldn't risk they were not coming for you. I am heading to sickbay." Jon turned to Thomas "Seal the bridge, security lockout omega 1." Jon stepped into the turbolift and said "Sickbay." Jon was thinking ~ The tholian Ambassador.~ Jon punched his combadge "All security team protect the tholian ambassador." just as the Turbolift opened and a fist flew out and hit Jon right in the stomach.
Jon went down but got a phaser shot off as he hit the turbolift wall. Jon saw the Klingon go down, Ensign brown was there a second later. "Commander are you ok?" Jon looked at him "Thank you ensign i am fine." Looking at his waist Jon added "You were ordered to arm yourself Ensign." Jon handed him his Phaser. "Don't let me see that again." Jon headed off in the direction of sickbay. Jon walked into the next office and graped a phaser from the locker.
Running into sickbay a few seconds later there was Doctor Grey standing over the body of a Klingon, a Phaser next to her legs and a med kit in her hands. Jon knew what happened but wanted to hear it. "Doctor, are you ok ? what happened?"

The Romulan had no reply. Thoughts indeed, what would one think of such a story. Did he trust the Klingon? No, he most certainly did not, and he knew Magellan didn't either. This was far too easy. He blinked a few times, trying to get his mind around to actually answering the question. Everything was in a daze, and he was still dizzy. "Thoughts?" he repeated, his voice flat. "I have many thoughts, but none that are a fitting answer to what you do not appear to want to ask out loud. If I presume correctly."
With effort, his gaze shifted to the Trill. "This is too easy," he murmured, "way too easy. Why do I feel we walked into a trap?"
Then, all hell seemed to be loose and somewhere, dimly, he heard Park shout that all security had to get to sickbay. "Lovine!" he cried out, not even realising his own guards were gone.
Trapped, that's what he was. Trapped on the bridge, no way to get to his friend. Friend? The Romulan blinked again, nodding to himself. Yes, friend. He had to give her that much, he considered their earlier meeting, their sparring session. There had been cameraderie, he had felt that much. Oh sure, he had no idea what a Tholian truly looked like, Lovine looked fierce enough in her encounter suit, and he had no actual desire to see her true form, unless she would trust him with that much, and on her own accord too.
Like a caged animal, he paced the bridge, having trouble to even pace in a straight line. His head was pounding and the light was hurting his eyes. And he had no release for the energy he was feeling building up in his body. Surely, there was something he could do? Frustrated, he pulled the nearest officer up to his feet, glaring at the poor man. Uttering a sigh, he flung the junior back in his seat and continued his pacing.
After a while, he sank down in the captain's seat, which was vacant at that point. He was weary, so weary, and he felt helpless. "There are Klingons aboard?" he finally managed to ask out loud, though of course he already knew the answer. Someone offered him a phaser, but he resolutely shook his head. "Get that away from me," he snarled, "I'll not have anything to do with that." He drew his dagger, light glinting off the blade. "I have this, and it is sufficient. Let them come! We're ready for them."

Magellan was furious as he emerged from the ready room. Ready to bawl out the commander he was given little opportunity as Park had already leapt to the turbolift and was gone.
Magellan looked about him, a helmsman and operations officer remained as did Tedak. Both officers were junior and sat at their consoles nervously.
"The Commander has locked down the bridge" Tedak noted with a growl.
"I m sure he means well" Magellan replied unconvincingly.
Turning to the helmsman he said, "Drag those klingons into the ready room and seal them in. I dont want them coming round on the bridge."
He moved over to the tactical console. He was pleased to note that the Klingon Vessel was still following them and had taken no aggressive action.
"Hail the ship" He ordered,
The face of a Klingon appeared
"I am Commander Larak. What do you want?"
"I want to know why your soldiers are boarding my vessel." Magellan demanded.
"They are not my soldiers. General Ch'lork has resigned his commission and beamed himself and honour guard from our vessel."
"I see. So you are still in our custody."
Larak nodded grimly. "My orders were to remain non-hostile. The Federation are our allies" he seemed to spit that last comment.
"Thankyou Larak. Your honesty does you credit. I will be in touch".
He thought a moment and then crossed to sit in the Captains chair. "Contact Assailant, Have them despatch the Copenhagen and Vanquisher to join us immediatly to escort us in."
"Do you understand what is happening" Tedak asked.
"I think so" Magellan replied "Ch'lorks last gasp for an honourable death"
"His death would not assist the peace process. We need him to stand trial."
"I know" Magellan said quietly,
"He is also a Dahar Master"
"I know that too Ambassador. Someone with greater combat skill than anyone on this ship."
"Nearly."
Magellan looked at Tedak a moment, well aware of the Ambassadors Tal Shiar past and use of an honour blade.
"You think I can take him?"
Tedak shrugged, "Only if I can't get him to back down."
Magellan chewed his lip as he pondered the problem, it went against his better judgement but...
"Computer Emergency Command Over ride. Magellan Alpha Six niner. Unlock bridge systems."
He then turned to Tedak,
"Go." he urged,
Tedak hefted his knife and bolted for the Turbolift.
Magellan returned to the captains chair and opened a comm line.
"All hands secure stations. Maintain lockdown of Engineering and Sickbay. Security teams subdue intruders but do not engage Ch'ork. I repeat do not engage Ch'lork in hand to hand. Oh and Engineering fix our security systems. It might be nice to have internal sensors and forcefields."

He had enought of waiting the high warp shuttle was in the docking bay. The captian of the Orca had been kind enought to provide him use of the shuttle and a pilot seemed the captain wanted the shuttle back. They board the shuttle and left it wasn't to hard to figure out where they were going. He had been monitoring the comm traffic and knew the Nevada was in some type of trouble thankful the pilot was good and got more speed out of the shuttle when they caught up with the nevada in warp.
The pilot was still wanting to know how he was going to get a board he turned and just smiled at the young pilot who's name had escaped.
" I know the shield frequence after all she's about to become my ship with that your are about to do a landing at warp.
" The pilot turned to him " shouldn't you at least let them know your coming"
" I'm already transmitting a message now they will get it on the bridge"
Just like that the Nevada shuttle doors opened and the shuttle landed with a soft touch he would have to see about keeping this pilot when everything was over.
Exiting the ship he tapped his combadge" Admiral Lin can I be some assistance I have had dealings with Klingons before and my back round is advance hand to hand combat. I should be able to assist who ever you have dealing with klingon commander"

"Of course Colonel. I understand." Magellan replied, "I m opening up the shuttlebay to admit you now. Commander Park is securing Sickbay. I ll have my operative Ambassador Tedak join you. He will brief you." Magellan out.
Magellan quickly tapped his comm and told Tedak to re route to the shuttlebay to meet the Colonel. he felt happier now Tedak had some Marine back up.

Feeling almost sick one moment, Tedak felt utterly alive when he bolted from the bridge, into the waiting turbolift car. Adrenalin coursed through his veins, and there was a certain amount of frenzy in his eyes. He was on the hunt, of a sorts. "Acknowledged admiral," he replied, as the Trill redirected him to the shuttlebay.
Slightly annoyed as now he had to postpone tracking his quarry, the Romulan made his way and waited until the shuttle had landed. When the bay doors opened after pressurising, he entered, waiting impatiently for the marine officer to depart. "Hurry up!" he called, twirling his dagger between his fingers, narrowly avoiding cutting his fingers.
He watched as a Human in marine's greens departed the shuttlecraft. As soon as Wolf caught up, the Romulan was already moving. "A Klingon named Ch'lork has beamed himself aboard the Nevada, along with several of his guards. From what I understand, most of his men are already subdued but no-one may engage him in hand to hand combat." He gripped his dagger tightly, seeing that Wolf recognised the weapon by the look in his eyes. "Ch'lork is a Dahar Master, very skilled in what he does. I'm going to fight him, but we need him alive. You, apparently, are to join me and make sure that I don't get killed."
Tedak gave Wolf a sly smile. "I don't think Lin wants the death of an ambassador on his hands. He neither likes nor trusts me, but we have a good understanding of eachother, and we often find ourselves fighting a common cause. That said, he trusts me more than my superior, which says a lot, I think." He flipped open the tricorder someone had thrust into his hand just as he left the bridge. "Ch'lork is on deck ten, apparently on his way to sickbay. The Tholian ambassador was poisoned earlier, and she was taken to sickbay. I have no doubt that he's going there to kill her."
The Romulan paused. "We will have to hurry, catch him before he gets a chance to reach his destination."
~a little later~
Tedak stood facing the burly Klingon, his body tense, his left arm slightly bent, his right reaching out before him. He was poised to strike, but light on his feet. "Surrender," he hissed at the Klingon, "surrender and I'll make it swift. The Trill wants you alive, but you and I both know that we'll have a battle right here, right now. I'm the only one capable of defeating you, so why don't you just spare yourself a lot of agony, and let me finish it." He was taunting the Klingon, daring him into attack. "Wolf, make sure we have a fair fight, no-one is to interfere. Watch my back colonel, please."

Listening to the Romulan Ambassador he sounded pretty sure of himself then again what Romulan didn't. He had dealt with both klingons and Romulans in his black ops days, sometimes the out come was good but most of the time it wasn't.
" Ambassador I understand and will assist but I remind you he's suppose to be taken alive. Since he's a klingon it will be next to impossible but we must at least try to cover our selves and the Admiral"
The pilot exited the shuttle and tossed him his personal back, quickly he opened it grabbed a phaser shaped in the the old style and his tomhawks and straped them to his back and followed the ambassador to the sick bay intime to see the klingon Ch'lork. He appeared calm and sure of himself as a master only would.
" Ambassador I will make sure nobody interfers but remember what I said you must at least attempt to take him a live no matter your personal feelings. I want your word you will at least try if you can't do that then I'll deal with him myself. I have my own skills but will defer to you if you agree to try"
Looking to Ch'lork " Remember what honor means if you have any left but rest assured by no means will you get to your intended target not while one of us draws a breath. I will let no one interfer until the combat is over including my self"
He hope the Ambassador was as good as he was boasting or he would have to take care of the klingon himself and explain why the Ambassador was dead not a conversation he was intersted in having on his first day.

Kek’s POV
Kek moved around the room the federation officers called Sickbay like he was on a mission to wear a hole in the floor, How could he have been so stupid as to leave Lovine on her own, how was he going to explain this to the Assembly, how was he going to explain this to his grandmother. Kek had sent a message to the home world and was thankful that the ship was too busy dealing with the Klingons to notice the comm.. But Kek was worried, he hoped to have heard back by now with instructions but as he looked again to the small communication device in his hand he found it as dead as before. Kek noted that a large amount of security had suddenly begun guarding Sickbay, ‘maybe he assassin is trying for her again’. Kek was about to move into a place that would let him attack any who walked through the door when the device in his hand lit up and showed a young face he knew immediately “’Belkan, i thought you would be busy with the Assembly, i have no doubt they will have heard from the federation about Lovine’s condition”’ Kek watched as Belkan shifted slightly “’The Assembly does not know of Lovine’s condition as of 5 minutes ago, i received your communication and responded that is all”’ Kek looked at the young man with curiosity, ‘could the assembly not have heard from the federation or could the federation not want the home world to know?’ Kek put the thoughts aside as that was not his place to think on. “Belkan, what should i do, we do not know who tried to kill her, it could be the Klingons, it could be a Romulan she fought with earlier, or it could be a federation plot.”’ Belkan did look nervous at that last part ”’Kek, i want you to secure Lovine, i do not want anyone near her or treating her, i will send a Tholian doctor as soon as i can to that base of yours”’ Kek was about to respond when the screen went blank.
Kek knew what he had to do, moving over to the bio bed Kek reached out even with the Doctors protest and touched a small device on the front of the encounter suit. Suddenly Kek’s hand was pushed back and he felt the gentle energy of a force field coming from the suit “Doctor you will do no more, i have my orders now, she is to be left alone until one of our doctors can examine her, any attempt to touch her will not be suggested as the shield around her is very painful and can only be disarmed by two people in this universe” Kek was not going to say who these two were but he was sure the need would not arise.
<Tag Grey/All>
--- Belkan’s POV
Belkan did not like this, whispers of assassinations, communications with people without any in the assembly knowing about it, plots. Belkan felt he had been dropped into the middle of one of those novels humans loved so much, having only just cut the communication to Kek on the Nevada Belkan was now looking around his chambers to see if anyone had been listening in. He was sure he was fine but all this shadowy talk had him jumping at shadows. Moving back to the consol he knew what he had to do, first he needed a doctor he could trust and he knew just the one, tapping on the controls the screen above changed from the seal of the Assembly to that of an elderly male Tholian, ”’What do you want, can’t you see i’m busy”’ Belkan smiled it had been a long time since they had last seen each other. “’Doctor Farvi, it is Belkan, i am sorry to disturb you but i am sure a member of the Assembly deserves a little of your time”’ Belkan watched as the old man looked more closely at the screen in front of him “’Ah, little Belkan, i remember how you used to follow you sister around like a lost sheep at times, i wonder what she is up to now?”’ Belkan did not change his tone but pressed on “’Doctor i have not contacted you to catch up, i need your help, an Ambassador has been poisoned and i smell a rat in the Assembly itself, i need you to come with me to see what poison was used and if there is any way to detect who did it”’ Belkan watched as the old man backed away from the screen a bit to think. ”’Well, i do not have many patients anymore, and i could always use a trip and on business of the Assembly could be very interesting. Right you have twisted my arm, send me a time and place and i will be there. You have grown into quite a man Belkan, i am sure your Sister will be proud.”’ Belkan nodded before he closed the link.
Belkan knew Lovine well, and knew she would not want her grandmother informed of her condition, but he owed it to the old woman and he was not going to let Lovine die without letting her grandmother see her. Belkan activated his main security link and hoped that she would take his call, Belkan was about to stand up and make something for him to eat when the screen changed to show a proud and regal woman, “’Belkan, why are you contacting me, to last i checked the Assembly was trying to get those Weapons of theirs out of cold storage, and selecting a new Kal’Var.”’ As she spoke Belkan dropped to his knees before he realised what he was doing, quickly rising he responded “’I am sorry your majesty but i have ill news for you this day, Lovine has been poisoned by any as yet unknown party. I am travelling out to Star Base Assailant with a doctor to investigate this, but i wanted you to know before i departed”’ Belkan knew he should never ask her to travel with him as that was not the way but moments later the response he expected came ”’Lovine ... meet me at the palace ship yard, we shall take my ship and make our way there.”’ as the screen went back to the seal of the Assembly Belkan knew that the response told him haste was needed, so after quickly sending a message to Doctor Farvi he quickly gathered his things leaving a message saying he had been summoned by the empress and was with her. ‘Time is short and if a plot is occurring i will unravel it if i have to destroy the federation base to do it’.

Jon finished working with security and Doctor Grey in securing sickbay. Park had a few officers stay in sickbay even against the protest of doctor Grey. Heading back to the bridge Jon tapped his combadge. "Park to Seth, Status report."
<Tag Seth>
Park stepped into the turbolift and said "bridge." The computer beeped. "Bridge under security lockdown. Command authorization required." Jon entered his command codes and the turbolift made a sound and headed up. Jon entered the bridge and there was a person he didn't think he would see for a while longer. Not an officer but a Marine. "Excuse me......" Jon started as the man turned around and he saw it was his new captain. That was made clear from the "birds" on his shoulder. "Commander First class Jon Park your FO sir." Taking the Padd handed to him from a Lt. JG he looked it over and handed it to Wolf. "Ships Status report."

Seth finally managed to get himself into sickbay. His spontaneous comment to Lucy Grey earlier on the comm, the one where she was meant to let him in if it was him, had been ill-thought through and ludicrous to say the least.
The Wezean had spent the last five minutes being ignored by sickbay staff over the comm while he tried to access the main sickbay door via his rather inferior and low-level command codes, all because he could not confirm his own identity to the sickbay staff whom - quite fairly - did not know him well enough to be able to believe the 'personal' knowledge he tried to convince them with. Seth could hardly blame over-suspicion though.
The attempts to enter sickbay had resulted in him losing all sense of desperation when he did manage to get in, thus he walked in wearily and was only partially shocked when he saw the prone Klingon on the floor. It still gave him more than enough urgency to ask what had happened.
Apparently, sickbay was on a fairly good lockdown now. Just previous to the securing of the place though, a solitary Klingon from the likely small, compact assault force had burst into the place. He had been taken out with combined efforts from the medical staff, quickly enough so that the warrior did not reach Lovine but it had been a close shave. Now Lovine was under protection of an ultra high-strength forcefield.
Seth drew his standard tricorder - that he'd equipped himself in addition to the phaser - and scanned the Tholian Ambassador, still prone, almost serene in its crystallised shell of existence. "Ambassador Lovine is protected by the equivalent of a level twenty-three forcefield," he reported to Doctor Grey and her nearest assistants. "No one will be able to penetrate that, the only feasible way she will die now is if the Klingon warship destroys the Nevada.
"Lucy, I recommend you stay here, those security officers you seem to have accumulated should serve to protect the place; always easier to defend than attack a fortified position."
That was common knowledge as far as Seth was concerned. To everyone; but he also had personal experience - as in every day life - to go with it.
"Park to Seth, Status report." The new first officer's call was short and to the point; evidently he was busy in whatever he may be doing.
"Helacaan here, Commander. I am in sickbay, assisting and advising the staff. I understand you've just been here sir, I must have just missed you. With permission, I'm going to remain belowdecks. In that way I can protect sickbay and other key systems from Klingon attack. And Commander, a forcefield has been erected around Lovine by her accompanying Tholian; it is impenetrable, she should be safe."
<tag Park>
Seth departed sickbay, promising to Lucy and her staff that he would keep the place secure from out and beyond the place. He was like a landmine, keeping vigil outside the fortress and tripping those who ventured too close.
The landmine was set off almost instantly. Not thirty seconds after the Wezean had stepped out of sickbay, as he was sweeping out from that place of humanitarian reason, he encountered a Klingon as he rounded a corner in the passageway. The bat'leth swung at his shins, almost foot level as the warrior was crouching as he found Seth. Helacaan wasted no time, he drew his phaser and shot the Klingon in the head at close range.
Despite their clean nature, Seth's phaser had incidentally been placed on a high setting; the weapon made a minor mess on the deck immediately below the Klingon's cranium. Unblinking, Seth put his weapon back, his face bore only the expression of determination and necessary duty. A sad truth, but one that had become so common when his whole life was considered, Seth had become almost numb to such things. One emotion did pierce through though, the feeling of justice, a righteous anger which despite its reasoned approach did sometimes devolve into near-psychotic insanity; it would never lessen.
That's when he heard the voice of the Romulan, followed by the gruff reply of a furious-sounding Klingon warrior.

|Sickbay
Time had slowed while Dr. Grey tended to -or rather tried- the Tholian Ambassador. Then suddenly time went haywire.
Seth was calling about a drunken Klingon. Just what could she possibly do? Sure she'd been warned to expect such a thing but she hadn't given it too many thoughts or considerations. After all, what was so unusual about a soused Klingon warrior?
As Lucy turned back to her patient, Lt. Helacaan shouted with orders for her to lock down sickbay! Looking around, she frowned as security forces rushed past her. Sickbay was secured within five minutes. ~Or less,~ Lucy thought with resignation.
“Doctor you will do no more, i have my orders now, she is to be left alone until one of our doctors can examine her, any attempt to touch her will not be suggested as the shield around her is very painful and can only be disarmed by two people in this universe,” Kek informed her.
Lucy nodded in compliance. Actually, it was a relief. She knew little of the Tholian body and less of the encounter suit.
All this security in HER sickbay caused anger and frustration pushing their way to the fore when an elbow pushed at her side, just above the floating rib. Uttering an oath of displeasure, Lucy pushed back. A large leather-knuckled hand came down on her shoulder, the fingers clutching her tunic fiercely. Lucy's head followed her eyebrows in their upward tilt just as a very large Klingon fell to the floor.
Ripping a medkit from it's place at her hip, Dr. Grey spun around as she keyed in the Klingon physiology.
"Doctor, are you ok ? what happened?"
"Jon! What's happening? Is this the drunken Klingon I'm supposed to treat?" At the commander's blank look, Lucy continued, "Okay. Never mind. I was told to expect *A* Klingon. What's happening, Jon? And why is the doctor the last one to know? I run an organized sickbay. You know that." Lucy took a deep breath and started speaking again before Cmdr. Park could say anything. "I want security out of here. Well, out in the corridor, anyway."
The expression on Jon's face gave Lucy her answers: We have everything under control, doctor. With a smart First Officer turn, Cmdr. Park left sickbay, leaving Lucy standing there looking blank.
Her mouth uncharacteristically open, Lucy saw Seth enter sickbay. She signaled toward a nurse who shuffled over and started regenerating his wounded shoulder even as he started talking.
"Ambassador Lovine is protected by the equivalent of a level twenty-three forcefield," he reported to Doctor Grey and her nearest assistants. "No one will be able to penetrate that, the only feasible way she will die now is if the Klingon warship destroys the Nevada."
"Oh good. That makes me feel all secure and safe," Dr. Grey intoned with sarcasism.
"Lucy, I recommend you stay here, those security officers you seem to have accumulated should serve to protect the place; always easier to defend than attack a fortified position."
"I'll be here. You get those security guards to do their guarding from outside my sickbay."
Seth departed sickbay, promising to Lucy and her staff that he would keep the place secure from out and beyond the place.
Lucy sighed. Was Admiral Lin under arrest as he should be for trying to kill the Tholian Ambassador? She needed to get to the bridge and find out just what was going on.
With purposeful strides, Dr. Grey waved at her assistant, pointed to herself and the door, then headed for the turbolift.

Tedak held his free hand a little behind him, as if to keep Wolf back, his knife-hand still extended as he circled the Klingon. "Give it up," he taunted the Klingon, "let them take you and your honour will remain intact. If you kill Lovine, you will only taint yourself and you'll not be admitted to Sto-Vo-Kor. You can still redeem your honour."
The Klingon circled him, his d'k'tagh extended, the side blades snapping out. The curved and jagged blade gleamed in the light of the corridor, here and there smudged with dried blood from previous combats. He snarled as the Romulan danced out of the way, his dagger catching only at his opponent's robe.
"Stay out of this," Tedak warned Seth, as the Nevada officer approached, "keep watch on Lovine." He hissed as this moment of distraction caused the Klingon's blade to graze his lower arm. His sleeve tore as the dagger went through, drawing a thin line of green blood. "First blood is yours," the Romulan acknowledged, "but victory shall be mine!"
Ch'lork gave a cry of victory and charged, his arm swiping in an arc to strike again. This time, the Romulan was ready and ducked away, scoring him across his back as the Klingon charged past.
~a little later~
The two combatants were nearly equally matched, both covered in numerous scrapes, bruises and cuts. Tedak had shrugged out of his robe, the tattered item now lying abandoned on the deck at Wolf's feet. Ch'lork was a cunning fighter, and definitely highly skilled, but Tedak knew his own skill well, and he was well-trained and was, ultimately, quite relieved to have kept up his practice.
Romulan and Klingon alike were nearing exhaustion, neither knowing how long they'd been trying to cut the other down. As a last resort, Tedak finally swiped the Klingon's legs from under him, pressing his knee into the taller man's lower back, knife at his throat. "I'm not going to kill you," he informed the other fighter, "perhaps another time, in another battle, but not today." He grimaced. "Today is not a good day to die!"
Now, Tedak gestured to both Seth and Wolf. "All yours gentlemen." When the two Nevada officers took the Klingons off his hands, Tedak rose to his feet. He blinked a few times as his vision blurred, then went black. The last he remembered before blacking out was thinking that the deck felt awfully cool. Adrenalin rush passed, the effects of the intoxicating Tholian beverage hit him trifold. The adrenalin had an unusual effect on it, briefly dissipating the intoxication, allowing for a clear mind to fight a battle for life and death.

The fight seemed like it went on for for ever as you watched, ever move was time excuted. Neither one was really gaining up hand then all of a sudd it was over the Ambassador had won. He as the federation officer run over to the klingon to secure he went to lend a hand.
When he looked back up the Ambassador had fallen to the floor. Quickly he tapped his combad "Medical emergency Ambassador Tedak is down."
He waited for the the medical team to arrive with the Klingon secured and on his way to the brig he spoke to the other officer " You know anything about Romulan medicen I can feel a pulse but it seems awfully week " <Tag Seth>

"Stay out of this," the Romulan said almost instantly as Seth rounded the corridor into sight. He had had little time to evaluate the situation he was affronted with before Tedak had immediately seen him.
Seth made to step back, just before the Romulan and the Klingon returned to their fight. Seth watched as the Klingon scored the Ambassador's forearm with his fearsome dagger; of the same kind to the one that nearly destroyed Seth's shoulder, not fifteen minutes ago.
He watched on with an air of confusion at the events unfolding. This was an odd event to witness and to force oneself to take no part in; the Romulan Tedak ducked to and fro as Ch'lork attempted lunging motions at his frontal section, his Dak'tagh merely slipping by the marginally more nimble Romulan every time he drew close.
The end, while taking a while to come, was a short, swift occurrence when it did. In what was almost an 'all or nothing' move, Tedak took out the Klingon's legs and in a flash had his weapon at the browed-one's throat.
Sensing that a mad act of brutality was about to take place, Seth stepped forward in a rush. While he was glad that Ambassador Tedak had won the fight, and thus he would be safe from the wrath of Admiral Lin (who had assigned him the duty of protecting the Ambassadors in the first place), he did not want to see his potential fortunes reversed so utterly as to have to be dealing with a neck-slit Klingon.
Fortunately, the Ambassador lived up to his supposedly pacifist nature and spared the Klingon warrior whom had murdered so many Tholians in the Betreka nebula. In the interests of peace, he had spared him. Seth felt a sudden strong envy for the Romulan's control.
Seth took Ch'lork as Tedak released him, clapping his hands in the electric binders he had happened to be carrying with him. He nodded to Wolf, his new Captain apparently whom he had just met in this instant; the Klingon was secure. Wolf's reaction to Seth's nod was unexpected, instead of nodding back or the like he was rushing to where Tedak 'had' been standing. Seth looked in alarm to see a prone Romulan on the floor. The cuts on his face had resulted in the green of his blood smearing over his cheeks, as they'd caressed the floor with his seemingly sudden fall.
"You know anything about Romulan medicen" Colonel Wolf asked him as he frantically checked the unconscious Ambassador over, "I can feel a pulse but it seems awfully week "
"A little, not much, sir." Seth said, and in this time of all times worrying more about the impression he was giving than Ambassador Tedak.

He was kneeling beside Wolf, watching where the Colonel was checking for a pulse. "However," he said, "I believe the main pulse for Romulans is further back around the neck, if you will allow me." He moved his hand to Tedak's pale neck, not flinching at the green blood dripping on to his hand from the cut on his cheek. "As I thought, sir. His pulse is stronger than you surmise, but admittedly it is still not strong." Two security guards arrived to take care of Ch'lork.
"Sickbay isn't far, we should take Tedak there immediately. Hopefully we can avoid Admiral Lin.." said the Wezean as he and Wolf hoisted the Romulan between them, ".. he's not going to be too happy with me.."

They entered sickbay, which was busy as usual. Seth could not count the number of times he had been in here now on this outing. Tedak was regaining consciousness slowly as he was moved to a biobed; strangely, he still had the alcohol in his system, a dangerous concoction to both he and Lovine, then. The Tholian remained on her biobed and encased in a forcefield, just a biobed away.

Looking that Lt who he thought someone addressed as Seth, he quickly realized that this officer was assigned to the Nevada and would be under his command. He was grateful that he knew a little more about Romulan make up then he did.
" Thank you Lt I'm not use to haveing to save Romulans live in fact its normally the other way around. Don't worry about the Admiral if he has any words to say to anybody it will be me I allowed the fight to happen not you. But your right lets get him to sick bay on the double"
As they arrived in sickbay he was a little taken back to see so many injured he hoped this was not a standard day aboard the Nevada. As they dropped of the Ambassodor he scanned around the room realizing a war might have just been avoided for the moment at least he hoped.
" Uh thank you for your help Lt Seth right" pausing for a moment " Well I dont think a marine is much use down here I'm going to head back to the bridge and let the admiral know what happened"
Walking out of sickbay he made his way back to the bridge arriving to see the admiral still there " Sir all the klingons have been secured and they are still breathing they might not be to happy about that. The ambassador is in sickbay not sure about his condition but from appearance a little worse for the wear but a live."
Looking around the bridge and at his new home it felt a little strange but he figured it was grow on him in time " Also sir I request permission to make arrangements to get you all off the nevada and to a more secure location. With you all aboard and the current climate its not safe to have you on this ship we would be much of a match if we get jumped by somebody else looking for revenge" <Tag Lin>
