Darian, still dazed from his headlong collision with the Klingon doctor, entered the bridge just at the precise moment it seemed. He paled when the captain ordered him to take Greenwood's station, but but on a brave face. It was about time that he started to act his position as officer, and not the squeemish young man he always seemed to be.
But he couldn't change just like that. He wasn't quite sure what he was supposed to do at the science station, as he tended to spend most of his time solitary, down in the science labs. "We've hull breaches!" he suddenly cried out as he saw the blinking warning lights, "decks 22, 23 and 24! Captain, that're the antimatter storage pods! If they continue like this we'll be dead in the water!"
His hands flew over his console in an attempt to get the bulkhead forcefields up in time and he sighed with evident relief when he finally managed to do so.
before getting to the bridge Darian gazed after the Klingon doctor, shivering with fear. He still didn't understand why he feared Klingons and he knew he was extremely silly to fear them. He started to hurry after her, then thought the better of it as she didn't really seemed to be in a talkative mood.
Instead, he turned around and headed for sickbay, to see if he could be of any use there. Perhaps a little distraction would help him remember what exactly he'd been about to do before his collision with the doctor.
Reeling, he entered sickbay. "Trish?" he called, remembering the woman's name, "what's wrong with the doctor? She seems to be in a really bad mood. I just had a headlong collision with her...." He gave the woman a sheepish grin. "Her head's still harder than mine..." He was still shaking violently as he worked to subdue his fear. "Say doc, have you got anything against fear for Klingons." he suddely blurted out.

The Majesty had finished expelling the belligerent little fighters that had attacked the distressed ship, with fine work from their CTSO, Gypsy. Aarons: "Wait! Weren't you a chick crying about her family a few posts ago?" Logic Gods: "Ix-Nay!!!" Aarons: "Alright alright. But those Logic Gods are gonna have to come off their pedestal sooner or later!" The alien ship looked alright; it didn't seem designed for combat or for that matter defensive posturing. After they had been delivered from harm, they sent a message. On screen came an unusual image of strange aliens (just think of something out of Halo; it's what I did ) on a bridge. >Alien<: "Thank you Majesty, we are grateful for that which you have done for us." Kay: "I'm afraid you have us at a loss. And you are...?" >Alien<: "I am Bob." Kay: "'Bob'?" Bob: "Yes that is what my speaker credit says; you could not grasp my real name. We are Etrivani." Kay: "I take it that's your race?" Bob: "You take it correctly." Kay gave a look to her first officer on that one. Kay: "Why were you being attacked?" >Alien<: "We believe it may have to do with something we found." Kay: "And you are...?" Gale: "I am Gale; also as my speaker credit states." Kay: "And what is it you have 'found'?" Bob: "It is not safe. First, let us pull up where it is safer." Aarons: "That doesn't make any sense whatsoever! We're righ..." Logic Gods: "What part of 'ix-nay' don't you understand?" Aarons:

Trish chuckled. "Sorry, but I don't have anything that will cure you of fear. As for what's wrong with Liz, we are still trying to figure it out. Maybe you should talk to Kedzie about your fears, she is pretty good at helping people when they are afriad. She helped me," Trish said not wanting to remember how they had met. She shook it off, and turned back to the Trill.
"Is there anything else I can do for you?"
(Ako)
Trish looked over a few other things when he had gone making sure everything was alright.
Liz looked around her quarters and grabbed something, her Bat´leth, and started to chop up the couch. She then turned to the rest of her furniture starting with the bed. It didn't take too long to make a nice mess of it. She wasn't sure what was going on with her, but she dropped the weapon and went in search of her meditation candle.
After about an hour of trying to meditate, she found it didn't help, and she ended up tossing the candle against the nearest wall. Then some security officers showed up, and she ended up breaking one's nose while the other three came at her. She did some damage to them, but they ended up subduing her and putting her in the brig.
Liz sighed as she sat on the bed waiting for the captain to come see her.

The Majesty was still licking her wounds from the earlier encounter with the rogue Klingons at Verlies. It seems that they believed that the Majesty had or knew of some powerful weapon that they wanted. Thankfully though, Commanders Hawk and Aarons were able to run the Majesty though a nebula to loose the Klingon Vor'cha that had been chasing them. TEG got a report that the damaged systems were repaired.
A few minutes later, a proximity klaxon sounded, indicating a ship within 50,000 Kilometers. The ship was scanned, and the design did not match anything ever seen before.
OCC: I'm trying to fill in some gaps, as Aarons post has made this a bit confusing, as well as establishing why the Klingons are after us.

OOC: Okay, I’m taking it upon myself to get us to the very beginning of this backwards mission… so that everything from this point can be written forward. IC: Though they had been docked at Bellicose, most of the crew had chosen to stay aboard, enjoying themselves in various holodeck escapades – including a clam bake hosted by Kay herself. She presumed they, like her, were a bit skittish about interacting with others after so strange a mission they’d just been through. Now in her Ready Room, Kay had resigned herself to buckle down and finish all her reports. To keep procrastinating was only adding to her feeling of being swamped. If only writing reports were less boring, she wouldn’t put them off so long. Ah well, a nice hot cup of tea, the night rotation well into its shift and Kay decided it was time. She had just begun to recite the first words to supplement a personnel report TEG had left with her two weeks ago, when her console chirped. “This is also why I never get these things done,” she said to herself and toggled the message to life. “MaryKay! A rare occurrence indeed to get you on my first try.” Admiral Jack Clark always seemed to have a secret joke no one knew about just behind his eyes. “Jack, how have you been?” “Still have all my original parts so I can’t complain too much.” “At your advanced age, that’s nigh miraculous,” Kay joked. “Usually, this is where I’d launch into my counterattack. However, this isn’t a social call. I want you to head to the coordinates I’m now sending. I’m not at liberty to fill you in on everything as of yet. We’ve had some interesting intel coming in … most of it looks like rumor. But, we can’t afford to ignore it should there be an iota of truth.” Clark looked down, tapping rapidly for a few seconds. “Sure thing, Jack,” Kay said as she received the classified file. “Can you share with me what I’m supposed to be looking for?” “No, there may not be anything there to find once you arrive. Just keep your eyes open and report anything unusual.” This not being the first time Kay had to deal clandestinely with information, she pressed him no further. They exchanged parting pleasantries, joking about green Jell-O with miniature marshmallows and then she closed the comm. link. Kay fed Clark’s coordinates to the helmsman on duty confident that her night shift personnel could enact her orders without her presence. It wasn’t long before she felt the Majesty thrum to life, leaving Bellicose and set on a heading to look for anything out of the ordinary. “A fitting mission for this ship,” Kay muttered under her breath. She turned her attention back to the personnel reports and found she had aboard a new Tactical and Security Officer, Commander Gypsy, just arrived earlier that evening. He hadn’t reported in yet, probably because he’d been efficient enough to look up the shift rotation and planned on reporting directly to her in the morning. Kay tossed his record aside and continued on with her drudgery all the while wondering what it was that caused Jack to be so secretive. She worked into the wee hours of her ship’s clock before finally emerging from her Ready Room. She informed the Officer of the Deck to make sure she was awakened when they arrived at their destination.
Groggily, she answered the incessant beeping that had impolitely torn away her veil of slumber. “Computer, turn that off!” “Captain, you asked to be informed when we arrived,” TEG droned. Kay yawned noisily. “TEG, you’re up early,” she said through her final exhale. “Not really, Captain,” answered TEG, slightly perturbed by her gauche behavior. “Our shift started over an hour ago.” Bolting up, Kay confirmed his words. She had overslept. Working late had caused her to miss the alarm in her quarters. “I need to quit leaving all that paperwork to do at once,” she chided herself. Dragging a bit, Kay finally made it to the bridge. She brought a large cup of coffee with her. TEG relinquished the center chair and Kay nestled in. TEG informed her they were at the specified coordinates and thrusters were at station-keeping. So far, there was nothing else to report. He delivered his report with a hint of repugnance since he didn’t like being in the dark about ship’s business. Kay understood her First Officer’s dislike for cloak and dagger tactics. She felt exactly the same way. She was right in the middle of another raucous yawn when someone stepped in front of her. [TAG GYPSY] Kay finally finished her thrid yawn. “Excuse me, Commander… late night, last night.” She extended her hand to shake his and welcomed him aboard. Just about the time all of them were becoming bored beyond their tolerances, a ship of unknown design and origin slipped into sensor range, pursued by several smaller ships. The fighters opened fire on the unknown vessel, pounding it mercilessly. “Who are they?” Kay asked of anyone. “Unknown configuration on the main vessel,” answered her new CTSO. “However, the fighters are Cardassian.” ( Thought I’d bring them in to the mix. ) “The mystery ship is putting out a general distress call, Captain,” added Gypsy. “Gentlemen, we’ve just been invited to the party,” Kay said. “Aarons, bring us in. Commander Gypsy… looks like we will get an early peek at how good a Tact. Officer you are.” [TAG anyone who wants to write the battle] The Majesty had finished expelling the belligerent little fighters that had attacked the distressed ship, with fine work from their CTSO, Gypsy.OOC: If anyone would like, they may go ahead and fill in any vital information I’ve left off AND/OR go ahead and write forward from this post and fill in the battle sequence with the fighters, the Etrivani ship (the one ship in this post that sent out the distress call and has the Genesis weapon and, presumably, if I'm not wrong, Ryan Jacobs aboard) and us. I’ll wait a while to see what you guys do. Then, we will proceed forward (and in forward writing style, finally!) from the first post in this thread and finish out the story. Capisce?

OFF: Well captain, I thought we established that Ryan was at a remote location monitoring their progress. Hence how the enemies found the Etrivani via transponder. ON: The Marauder made a mad dash at the Majesty. Was her intent to ram the starship? It certainly look so but Ferengi seldom fell into conformity. In fact their very lives are based on irony; one thing in contradiction of another. They slipped past Majesty's fire in an attempt to escape. However this would not prove to be so easy as the new CTSO engaged the tractor beam constricting their chances to flee. Majesty's phasers pummelled the ventral side of the Karlet. With that Majesty then began resuming manuevers against the Marauder. Gypsy: "Sensors report their shields at 40% sir!" Kay: "Excellent. Resume heavy fire." Aarons: "I'll try to give you a good aim." Majesty was able to evade two of the Ferengi's photon torpedos but at the expense of the second one clipping the rear of the starboard nacelle causing it to bleed plasma. Kay: "What are the status of our shields!?" Gypsy: "Shields at 70%. Our rear shields are low due to rerouting power to the dorsal emmitters." Kay: "Please keep our ship covered if you will." Majesty's front end took the brunt of the Ferengi's disruptor fire. Gypsy returned said fire with phaser fire after which Majesty release a spread of quantum torpedos. The torpedos did their job. Throughout the ship circuits fried as liquid crystal melted, glass fractured, and the transparent aluminum stressed to its limits. Fiber optics warped in the chaos, capacitance blew as inductance rose as energy arced out around the vessel. The isotropic forcefield used to secure the capsule and prevent beaming having already failed as a result of a cheap antiquated Sarium battery and EM pulse, the arc made its way to the capsule and the resultant energy stimulated the capsule. Nik: "Captain I think there's a problem." The D'Kora class vessel began to rupture as the capsule imploded sending out an unusual lateral shockwave emanating from a spectacular explosion. Kay: "Mr. Aarons get us out of here!" The pull about trying vainly to get clear in a futile effort. The Majesty to late before the shockwave met them broadside. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!! Majesty rolled out of control. It was not until the skilled efforts of the helmsman stabilized the ship and set a course along the Z-axis and engaged at warp 5. Across the sector the Genesis wave moved through the void and the worlds upon which it collided a wondrous thing happened. Upon them a garden grew as the matrix formed and new lifeforms never before seen emerged from these gardens except on a Klingon colony world where they were promptly eaten with prune juice and the blood of a live Kohlar beast. On the hull of the Majesty an unknown algea had formed. Kay: "Mr. Greenwood prepare some sample chambers. I'm sure Starfleet Medical, The Daystrom Institute, and the Vulcan Science Directorate would be very interested in this new discovery." OFF: Well people, now you get to right forwards from now on.

Darian wasn't sure what to do with the information Trishta had given him. On the one hand he did like Kedzie and would love to talk to her more...but on the other he didn't want to spill his guts to her, even though she was the counselor. Yet, he did want help regarding his illogical fear for Klingons as he couldn't even remember what had caused it.
And despite his fear, he did worry for the doctor. The Trill was then utterly surprised to find himself suddenly lingering before the door leading to the CMO's quarters. Catching his breath, he turned to walk away, then turned again poising his hand to knock on her door. He repeated this motion several times before finally knocking on her door.
"D-doc-tor, m-may I-I come in?" he stammered, unsure what to do. He desperately wanted to flee back to his own quarters, but he didn't want to appear a coward anymore either. "D-doc?" he called again, when no answer came forth.
He jumped when someone tapped him on the shoulder. "If you're looking for the doctor," a red-shirt commented, "you might have better luck trying the brig. I saw her get marched off there just minutes ago."
Darian thanked the officer and found himself sprinting to the nearest turbolift. Minutes later, he approached the holding cell area. "I'm here to see Doctor Janeway," he stated, "I'm a medic...I'm here to see if she needs medical attention." While he didn't lie about being a medic, the medical attention part was a white lie. By the time the guard let him through, he was trembling top to bottom, his face blanched thus far that his spots stood out even more against the pale skin. "D-doctor?" he started, "a-are you a-al-alright?"

"Oh great all I need is for some life-form to take over again, im still recovering from when the majesty was pregnant"
Nik said simultaneously remembering a space-walk where he was, lets say a, little sick in his suit and of which Mr Ramsden took great joy in reminding Nik about that for months after.
Thanmkfully this time he wasnt going to have to take space walk, he was going to send Homer out. Now Nik was particularly proud of Homer. It had taken a while and Homer would never be no Data, but he was a good worker and would do the messy jobs that Nik was never too keen to do or was just a little too tired to do.
"Their we go, Homers on his way and we should be getting some preliminary results in soon. I will ofcourse do some more detailed tests once Ive had five minutes of sleep. May I be excused Captain?" he said looking a little weary eyed.

Liz had heard the trill come in, but she didn't respond. She wanted him to go away and never return. She couldn't explain it, but right then she just wanted to be alone. She could tell he wasn't going to just leave her be though.
"If I was alright, would I be in the brig? Look, it was nice for you to visit, but I prefer to be alone. I deserve to be in here, I could have really hurt someone. If you are looking for someone who might need your help, why don't you go see how those poor guards are doing. The ones sent to check up on me when I was in my quarters last," she said trying to send the guy away. She didn't want to have to get rough with him.
(Ako)
Trish hadn't been happy when the security personnel came in and told her what the doctor had been up to. She started to treat them for their injuries.
=^=Trish to Ked. I think our friendly doctor needs you. You might want to talk to the captain first and see if she has been by the brig lately. If no, then give them a good hour before you go down there. We wouldn't want to put you in harms way.=^=

Nik's Quarters
"Commander Greenwood, this is your 3rd Wake-Up call. Would you please wake-up the Captain is expecting your report on the sample that you had me take last night"
"Huh, what the..... Oh its you Homer! When did you come in? Actually how did you come in, the doors were locked, and you certainly don't have the access codes." Nik said starting to come back to the living, he was just starting to enjoy the land of the nod... he felt like he hadn't slept in months. It didn't help that the current mission was well as all Majesty missions are - Complicated!
"Well you wouldn't answer your 1st and 2nd Alarm calls so I decided to come down and wake you only to find that you had locked the doors, so I over-rode the lock authorities......" Homer trailed off at that point.
"Whats that smell? ... Computer Lights Now....."
The lights came on and Nik finally realised how Homer had accessed his quarters, where the entry panel once was, a nice smoking hole and appeared which looked distinctly on fire.
"Homer, please put the smouldering metal out, and get to repairing the door access control panel. And NEVER ever, gain access to any doors like that again unless it is an Emergency. How am I going to explain this to the Captain. What you gonna do next, blow a whole in the side of the Maj. Just because you wanted to get a sample from outside of the ship." Then it dawned on him.....
"Homer those samples you collected last night from the outside of the ship, umm... how exactly did you collect them?"
It was then, he saw a shadowy figure standing in his doorway, with the controls melted by Homer, the doors just stay open.
"Mr Greenwood, could you please explain why their is a whole in the side of my ship?"
Nik just slowly lowered himself back down, closing his eyes wishing it would all go away, he slowly opened his right eye ever so slightly....
.... Nope it wasn't a dream, Homer was repairing the door, and Captain Cornette was still standing at his door, looking very annoyed.
"Coming Captain" Nik said pathetically. He just knew that today was going to be one of those days.
...
In the madness of it all he had forgotten to ask Homer about the sample results. In 2 hrs time, he was gonna wish he had asked about the Test Results because in 2 hours time, his day was going to take a massive nose dive, and get a hell of a lot worse...

For once Darian stood his ground and boldly faced the Klingon. "No I am not leaving," he said, to his surprise without stammering. Her selfpity angered him and not just a little. "I am going to remain here and you are going to tell me what is bothering you. You were removed from your duties for a reason, and a doctor just doesn't get removed without darn good reason!"
The Trill sat down on the floor and crossed his legs, leaning his elbows on his knees as he peered at her. "You have been isolating yourself since that party on the holodeck, everyone has noticed. Even your closest friends are worried about you but you won't let them close to you."

Kay patted her helmsman on the back. “There aren’t many in the fleet who could say they outran a Genesis Device matrix! Good flying, Michael.” She was all smiles though several missing pieces were yet to be placed in order to solve the puzzle. Just how did these simplistically named Etrivanni get their hands on Ryan Jacobs’ Genesis refit? There were a lot of loose ends that needed tied.
Nik requested to leave the bridge and Kay granted it thinking they could all use a little break now that the action had slowed. She overheard Nik give his robotic invention, Homer, the task of gathering and analyzing the algae forming on the hull. Kay wondered if this new contraption of Nik’s could perform up to standards. But, she thought it was worth a try. And anything was better than Nik upchucking in his enviro-suit. However, she was very interested in the composition of the algae. The ships which were unfortunate enough to become engulfed by the Genesis matrix were mostly likely reorganized, mutated and reconstituted during the birth of this new world. The algae could bare a close resemblance to a prehistoric Ferengi - or Etrivanni. The possibilities were mind-boggling.
Trying to relax for a bit, Kay read recreationally for a while in her quarters. She then took a quick glance at the most pressing matters needing her attention. Buried within the list was the notice that her Chief Medical Officer was confined in the brig. Not too surprised, yet curious, Kay read through the report. Sighing heavily, she decided to pay her CMO a visit.
On the way, Kay passed by Nik’s quarters and couldn’t help noticing the sizable hole in the wall. She glared into the opening, hands on hips.
“This is coming out of your pay for the week, Mr. Greenwood.” Kay wasn’t amused but the reference to pay clearly was a joke for no one got a paycheck in Starfleet anymore.
“I’ll have Homer repair it right away!” Nik said, trying to smooth things over. “And I’ll have that report on the algae by the end of my shift today!” he called after her as she left for the brig area.
Kay was taken aback by the presence of Ako in the visiting area. “I didn’t know you two knew each other,” she stated with a note of surprise.

Liz had wanted all of them to just leave her alone. ~Man they really know how to get to you, even when you are really down.~ Liz stood up and went over to the forcefield.
"Now you look here. Whatever I did, well that is none of your business. You are lucky the forcefield is in place, or you might lose a body part for that. Why don't you go be useless somewhere else. And that goes for you too, lady," Liz said then turned her back and went to sit back down.
Once seated she got to thinking. ~I don't want to talk about this. I just want to be left alone. I just want to see my mother again, but will I? NO!~ Liz thought, and barely heard the captain's words.
"Why don't you people just take a hint? You can't help me, no one can!" Liz said getting very angry. She thought about meditating, but knew it would solve nothing.

"W-we met," Darian stammered, starled nearly out of his wits when suddenly the captain spoke up. He had never noticed she'd entered at all and he exchanged a surprised glance with her when the doctor suddenly told both of them off in a fit of rage. "She n-needs help," the Trill said, "she's lonely."
He cringed when his gaze met Liz' infuriated glare and took an involuntary step back. Colour had drained from his face again, but he was really trying to compose himself. He cast Cornette a pleading look. "A ship needs her doctor," he stated, "however impossible she is to get along with...or however fearful she is."
Still fighting the urge to bolt from the holding cell area, Darian boldly took two steps forward, his nose nearly touching the forcefield which separated Janeway and himself. "You will talk to us," he managed, drawing heavily on the support of his symbiont and its ancient knowledge. "It'll help."

~Right after their escape~
Hawk was glad to finally be over his problem and back at his post in full male composer.
“Yes great job at the helm Commander Aarons. You’re almost as good as I am, “Hawk said with a joking smile.
“Indeed Commander Hawk and maybe someday you would like to put that statement to the test?” Aarons fired back at him.
They both looked at each other with a knowing node. Good thing for both of them that damage reports started to come in.
“Captain I have damage reports coming in from all decks,” informed Hawk.
“Status report Commander,” ordered Cornette.
“Hull breach on decks 23 and 24 with emergency force field in place and holding, 29 causalities with 2 dead, Captain,” Hawk said with regret in his voice.
“Get damage control on it right away,” bellowed the Captain.
“Already on it Sir,” Hawk replied.
Hawk began scanning the effects of the Genesis Device with long range sensors.

"No! Talk is cheap. Nothing and no one can help me. You wouldn't understand, no one can," Liz said wishing they would leave her be. She knew why the captain had come, and she didn't want to talk about that either.
Liz sat back down on the bed, and suddenly she realized the force field went down then came back up. She looked up to find Ako in her cell.
"You must be crazy to come in here. Didn't you see what happened to those guards?" Liz said realizing she was warning him. ~Why did I just do that? Why do I care what happens to him?~ Liz thought wondering about her actions.
"Look, things are rough, I just can't deal with all this," she said putting her head in her hands. Liz felt a hand on her shoulder as she felt someone sit down next to her. ~Wow he has gotten brave.~
Liz looked up and over at him. "Why do you care?"

Darian trembled violently as he entered the cell and sat down next to her. He knew she'd feel his hand tremble when he rested it on her shoulder. "Yes I know it's tough," he whispered, "I know very well how tough it is. And I care because it is in my nature to do so. That's why I went into the medical field."
He was very surprised not to be ripped apart on the spot, and he drew strength from that. "You shouldn't be bearing this alone you know," he continued, "whatever it is you're trying to deal with."
The young Trill took a deep breath before continuing. "Beating those guards up isn't going to help you, it'll only dig you deeper into the mess you're creating for yourself. People have tried to help you, why are you shutting yourself off from your friends?"
He flinched when she moved, instinctively ducking when he expected a blow. It wasn't his business, but a ship needed its doctor, and all he was seeing was an officer with serious problems that was shutting herself off from all available help. Darian knew enough about personal problems, especially when drawing on his symbiont's previous host: a mentally insane but brilliant scientist who had been locked away in a mental institution somewhere in France.
"You need help," he repeated, "and you can lift your burden by telling us what's eating you."

Liz moved to get his hand off her shoulder. ~He makes a good point.~
"I am alone in the universe. There are none like me, and my family is gone. I pull away from my crewmates because I don't deserve friends. I know someone killed my grandparents and mother. I know someone wants me dead too. It has to be that way, they couldn't die in some accident," she said and felt a bit of the pain again.
"No, this isn't helping. It hurts more than it helps," Liz got up and walked over to lean on a wall. She felt a rage working up inside, but she didn't want to hurt him. ~He is only trying to help me. He isn't here to hurt me, and he doesn't know much because I haven't told anyone really.~ Liz thought as she put her head against the wall.
"I feel so cold, so tired. I am upset, mad. I just want to find out what happened, and yet at the same time, I feel like I am being pulled in every direction. What am I even doing here?" Liz closed her eyes as a tear fell down her cheek.
