He hadn't noticed anybody enter the bridge while he was sorting out patterns this bothered him. He was letting Commander Garrett distract him and right he didn't need the distraction he closed off his mind to emotions and things cleared up alittle. Thats when he noticed Commander Garret and Valad it seemed blocking his emotions gave him control back. He noticed he had a message from valad about Garret.
Quitely he typed his response " Valad we will talk later when there's less of a chance of beening noticed" <Tag Valad>
Still looking at the senor logs and looking at patterns he found some very slight but it shouldn't be there a wake as if something slowly dirfted through space with out power. Since he had blocked his emotions and told Garrette he would do his duty until she gave him reason not too. He was sure by now she would have known somebody on his home world and done some checking on her his family had warned him. It was that he didn't like Garrett but he had to many bad dealings with intelligence operatives. The Scavenger attracted them out of the wood work.
Still until Commander Garrett did something he would keep his word. " Commander Garrett I think I found something. In the senor logs its very suttle and you wouldn't normaly pick it up, everybody is looking for a engine trail. It seems our friends out there were counting on that and didn't leave one. As near as I can tell they were cloaked and just drifted away letting the Jefferson leave them instead of the other way around. I can't tell the make of the ship and it will take some time to figure out the cloak. They hid the patterns in the back round not powering anything to leave a hint" <Tag Garrett>
He had hope she would take this as a sign that there could be some relationship. He still had his concerns and she wasn't telling him everything that much he knew. His concern now was what would be the response from her bosses. If they acted his world would go to war in a heart beat and unleash weapons not even thought possible. There technology was more advance and they were still in the early stages of member ship. The federation was asking them not the other way around.

"Computer gather all sensor information over the past twenty hours and download it into my personal file," Matt said as he entered the Jefferson's secondary science lab," then transfer all tactical information from the Seraph's computer and download it to the secondary science lab console."
"Downloading in progress."
While the rest of the crew worked on trying to find the children, Matt was going to do his research alone. It would be easier for him to concentrate and less chance of him missing a crucial detail. Matt was not entirely sure where to begin, but he was certain that the answer revolved around Nathan's new baby girl. Whoever was responsible for her conception was capable of disabling a sovereign class starship and abducting four children in less than five minutes.
"Computer what was the point of entry for the kidnappers?" Matt asked hoping to understand the tactics used. If he was able to determine how the kidnappers pulled it off he could guess who was responsible.
"Unknown, internal sensors were offline for five minutes from deck 3 through deck 15."
"Computer do we still have the information provided by Starbase Assailant?" Matt asked hoping that he had missed something.
The information quickly appeared in front of him, which Matt began to read immediately. The information was a bore which led to no new information.
"Computer how many cases of kidnapping or blackmail have occurred involving high ranking officials in the past six months?" Matt asked hoping that there would be a pattern.
"One hundred and fifty seven"
"Of those how many of the kidnapped were rescued?" Matt asked.
"None."
That was not the answer that Matt had been hoping for. In fact the computer's response almost caused him to scream in frustration. As he looked at the list provided to him by the computer he noticed that the kidnapped involved fifty seven children of captains, flag officers, and Federation politicians. The other children were of equally powerful people in the Romulan Star Empire, Tholian Empire, Gorn Hegemony, Bajor, and Klingon Empire. Whoever was doing this was very good at their job and the fact that Matt had no idea of who it was scared him the most.
"Captain Reynolds there is an incoming transmission from Captain Reynolds of the Hood"
"How are both of you holding up?" Kristie Reynolds asked. The image of his mother was a great comfort to Matt. She had the experience and knowledge that could only be gained through the passage of time.
"I'm fine mom, but I have given up command of the Jefferson, I cannot be a good leader while my mind is on Caleb," Matt said quickly.
"There is no shame in that, I've already heard that Admiral MC 7 of 9 is in command of the Jefferson, he can help you find them Matt," Kristie said," however I need you to be careful. An elite team is on its way to the Jefferson to help you out. They have been sent on your first officers request."
"How do you know that?" Matt asked confused. An elite team would only be a benefit in this situation," and why does it matter? I have my suspicious about Megan, but I know she is a good person. I think I can trust her!"
"Just be careful, there are things about her that you should not be comfortable with," Kristie said as she began to brainstorm with her son on a way to rescue the children.

The blank sensor records were beginning to frustrate her. The internal sensors had been tampered with, but they had been completely disabled, so that no data was recorded, and since they hadn’t exactly hid the tampering, there was nothing there to track them. The external sensors hadn’t even been tampered with, yet they still picked up nothing. Whoever these people were, they were professionals, and this hadn’t been their first kidnapping. At this level, tracking them through conventional means would do no good, as the data, or lack thereof, seemed to wholly confirm.
A quiet alert which sounded like an incoming message caught her attention. Pride wasn’t looking at her and neither was Tavik, and her instincts were screaming that something was going on under her nose. Resisting the urge to hack their consoles, trying not to be paranoid, Megan turned her attention back to the sensor records, but a second signal from the opposite station was too much for her to ignore. In a few moments, she could see that two messages had been exchanged, but to access them directly from her current console would be very hard to conceal, so she had them forwarded to her database, which wouldn’t be detected. Then accessing her database wouldn’t be suspicious. She was about to do so when she was interrupted.
"Sir, nothing is coming up on the scopes. Is there anything we know that might be able to tip us off to something we can pick up?” the newly promoted Lieutenant at ops asked, obviously going through the same frustration that she was experiencing.
“I’m not seeing anything either, Lieutenant,” Megan replied, hating to admit she had nothing. “These were obviously professionals. They knew what they were doing.”
"Commander Garrett, I think I found something in the senor logs. It’s very subtle, and you wouldn't normally pick it up; everybody is looking for an engine trail. It seems our friends out there were counting on that and didn't leave one. As near as I can tell, they were cloaked and just drifted away letting the Jefferson leave them instead of the other way around. I can't tell the make of the ship, and it will take some time to figure out the cloak. They hid the pattern in the background, not powering anything to leave a hint," Commander Pride reported, causing the First Officer to forget about the messages and stand to approach his console and see what he was talking about, trying to act as non-threatening as she possibly could.
The pattern was very subtle, extremely so. In fact, even looking at it now up close, it looked like background radiation and subspace patterns. But as the pattern was played forward and put into motion, Megan could see the very, very slow and gradual pattern start to emerge. They had apparently been drifting so slowly that even if they played as much of it as they had as it left sensor range, it had barely moved. Very, very clever indeed... “See if you can play it back to when they drifted in. That would have taken longer, so we’ll have more data. Once you’ve tracked it to where it entered sensor range, take the Jefferson along the trail. At some point, they would have had to conduct an engine burst to gain enough speed to drift in. We can use the sensor data from that maneuver to identify the type of ship used.”
<Tag Pride>
Turning to Valad, the Commander continued. “Once Commander Pride locates the point of origin, I want you to run a complete analysis of the ship’s engine output. I want as much information as you can get. If this is the same group as before, they may use parts from multiple types of technology, so any details can help, and we’ll need a full profile of their power emissions and engine trail to help us track them.”
<Tag Valad>
At that moment, Nathan stepped out of the ready room, and Megan stepped over thinking that the Admiral might be alone now. “Doctor…?” she began but hesitated at seeing the varying emotions on his face. He looked upset, confused, worried... and he just stood there holding Angel. Not knowing what exactly to say, she tried to stay professional. “Is your business with the Admiral concluded?” she finally asked.

Main Sickbay, Hannah Lowell
Hannah examined the Klingon woman, shaking her head in dismay before looking up at the operations chief. "She was near the explosion too?" she asked in disbelief, nodding over to where one of the engineers still was occupying a bed. "Him and one of the security officers were caught in it too."
She turned her attention back to D'Etora. "Multiple second degree burns, several pulled muscles. Looks like she was thrown into a bulkhead, and even Klingons aren't tougher than those."
The senior nurse snapped her tricorder shut, then nodded towards Jameson, who followed her around wherever she went. Of course Hannah was aware of the awed look in the marine's eyes, but she also was aware of his eagerness to learn the trade, so she let him. "Get her comfortable," she ordered, "and make sure she's properly sedated for now. Klingons make tougher patients than the CMO himself, and we both know where that went."
She chuckled before looking up at Valad again. "Don't worry sir," she promised, "we'll take care of her until Nathan gets back to take over. Though, I do hope he doesn't for the moment, he was off duty."
Bridge, Nathan Nathan shook his head in response to the first officer, trying very hard to remain standing on his two feet. He wanted to just sit down right then and there, not caring whether he sat on the deck or not. He felt weak, and he was berating himself over it, while he also tried to keep Angel content.
"Jayden's still in there," he answered flatly, eying the door anxiously. "He wanted to talk to the admiral alone. I admit I'm..worried," he added slowly, before his eyes caught another familiar face. "I'm sure he'll be done soon. Excuse me."
Cradling the baby closer, he brushed past Megan, his eyes tight and his jaw set. His eyes were dark with worry and fear as he crossed the deck. "Major Johnson, a word?" he asked quietly as he approached his friend. "I'm very sorry for keeping Corporal Mitchell from his duties. Trust me, if there were any way I could convince him to tend to his duties rather than hovering over me, I would."

Cyle sat with his head held in his hands behind his desk, various reports and PADDs layed about on the desk top. Cyle knew lcpl Mitchell had been called away to speak with the vice admiral who had come to take over command, seeing as Commander Reynolds wouldn't be able to concentrate with his son missing. The marine wondered how long it was going to take, he needed to brief his officers and start getting things back in order. Leaving his desk Cyle headed out into the hallway, towards the turbolift. Once he entered he called for the bridge and waited till he arrived. Stepping out he took a moment to survey the bridge. As he stood there he saw Megan as well as a few other officers. Cyle saw that the doctor had spotted him and waited for him to approach. Looking the doctor over, he noticed the bags under his eyes, his inattentiveness to his clothes, as well as the baby in his arms.
"Judging from the look of you, i would say he wasnt doing a very good job of it. You need to get some sleep. Go home, and go to sleep. I'll let Mitchell know when he gets out" Cyle sternly told the doctor, before stepping aside and walking over to Megan. " have we made any progress on finding who kidnapped the kids"

"He's doing fine," Nathan shot back, visibly irritated, "and I'm fine waiting here, thank you. I'm sure Jayden will be done any minute." He sank down in a vacant seat on the bridge, or rather tried to but misjudged the distance. "ow," he murmured as he climbed into the seat, making sure Angel was still asleep.
Much to his surprise, the girl didn't so much as whimper at the sudden movement of falling down. Eyes burning with fatigue, Nathan scanned the bridge, his gaze finding its fix on the main viewscreen. He tried to block out the annoying chatter of the bridge crew, tried to focus on the image on the screen though he had no idea what he was looking at, per sé.
Cyle of course had a point, but no right to order him about as though he were a mere ensign. "Come on Jayden," he murmured impatiently, trying to ignore the burning sensation that was building up in his chest. "No, not now," he groaned under his breath, closing his eyes as he tried to focus.
The doctor was very certain that the admiral would approve of his request, he just had to. There was no other option right now and Nathan wanted his children to be taken care of. That of course didn't mean he was any less nervous about it. "Argh," he sighed as the burning intensified. "Cyle!" he called, before his equilibrium failed him and he slid right out of the chair. Someone caught his baby just in time, before he found himself lying flat on the deck, unable to move.
At that moment, Jayden stormed out of the readyroom, eyes wide in alarm. "No!" he cried out, "not again. Get him to sickbay, immediately."

Hearing Commander Garrett its orders he nodded his head and began to work out the problem. He was not questioning her orders yet there was no need at the moment she was doing her job. Still he was concerned for Valad he was sure there little messages were not missed the only question would be how far would she go.
He had no intention of involving Valad and would dismiss him with some clever answer. He didn't want there newly permoted lt to get into any trouble. He could afford it for the moment but he had to be very careful on how we went about it. There was no proof she was endangering the ship so he couldn't challenge her. He had hoped that she was right and there would be no need but his heart told him you can't serve two masters. Even if she could fool herself into believing that she was not. There was always a price to pay for favors not matter what.
Looking back down at the senor logs it was going to take him a little time to figure things out. He was going to have to focus alot and shut out everthing else the pattern was well hidden almost like they knew who or what might beable to pick it up
closing his eyes his mind entered the patterns and slowly started to pull the one he was looking for out. It was very hard and it was taking alot of effort on his part to focus slowly he was managing to plot a course but it was going slow.
All of a sudden his focused was lost something was happening on the bridge. He didn't need to open his eyes to figure it out everybody had patterns a life force, he could see that when he was this focused and somebody life force was in trouble the patters was all over the place not confined it was loosing its shape. Opening his eyes he scanned the bridge and saw there doctor on the floor. Training kicked in and he opened a channel to sick bay " Emergency medical team to the bridge prepare for sight to sight transport". He located the sick bay team and activated the sight to sight transport.
He didn't know the doctors current condition or he would have beamed the doctor to sick bay. He did want to risk any more harm so beamed the medical team to the bridge. Getting up from his station he was drained it had taken alot out of him if he hadn't been so deep in thought he would have missed the doctors pattern outside noises were blocked out when he was the deep into his search. <Tag anybody>

Cyle listened to Megan's response, doing his best not to seem like he was expecting any amount of things from her, but instead just trying to be a friend. Either way he was acting a little out of character, which was odd for the marine, who was used to strict rules and obligations.
The commander was in the middle of explaining to Cyle the latest news, when Cyle heard his name called from behind him. "Cyle!" he called, before his equilibrium failed him and he slid right out of the chair. Someone caught his baby just in time, before he found himself lying flat on the deck, unable to move.
Cyle had jumped back as fast as he could, catching the infant child in his arms as he tried to catch Nathan as well. The doctor slipped past Cyle's out stretched hand and hit the floor, just as Lcpl Mitchell exited from the readyroom. "No!" he cried out, "not again. Get him to sickbay, immediately." Cyle, who was still holding the baby girl bent down to check the doctor vitals, testing his pulse with two fingers against his throat. " Emergency medical team to the bridge prepare for sight to sight transport". He located the sick bay team and activated the sight to sight transport.
"Mitchell, get over here and see to the doctor until the medical team arrives." Just as Cyle finished, a squad of medical officers materialized next to him and the doctor. As the began working to stabilize the doctor, Cyle stepped back and his attention was drawn to the baby in his arms, who began crying. Using what few baby instincs he had, Cyle started bouncing the infant softly, soothing the child and stopping the crying.

Anxiously, Jayden looked on from the side, as medical staff was suddenly transported to the bridge and started crowding his partner. Where was the baby? The marine looked around, then exhaled in utter relief when he saw his chief cradling the child to him. It surprised him to see the major with the infant at first, but remembering Cyle's history with his partner, it no longer did surprise him.
He started to walk forward, arms extended to take the infant from him, when he was ordered to take care of his partner. "Yes sir," he answered slowly, torn between taking the baby from Cyle and rushing to Nathan's side. Still, he realised that Angelique would be safe with the senior marine officer, nodded once and rushed away.
"Nathan?" he whispered urgently, stroking his partner's cheek. "Nathan do you hear me?" Fortunately, the medics let him be, so long as he wouldn't get in the way. He sat on his knees, anxious eyes on the still unconscious doctor, until one of the nurses tapped his shoulder.
"Corporal Mitchell?" she asked quietly, "please move aside for a few minutes." She nodded over to a few meters away. "I'll call when you can come back. Once we've stabilised him we'll be transporting him to sickbay, I'm sure you'll want to accompany us. Is the baby all right?"
Jayden nodded, too upset to voice an immediate answer, and moved away, watching the nurses work from a slight distance. This time, he did hold out his hands and was grateful to Cyle when he received the baby without further comment. Carefully, he held her to his chest, surprised that with all this commotion she was still sound asleep. "Any leads on the children's whereabouts sir?" he asked, when he felt confident enough to speak again.
The nurse who had spoken turned back to kneel beside the doctor, checking his vitals. There was a very weak and thready pulse, but he wasn't breathing and his lips were starting to turn slightly blue. "Insulin, straight into the heart," she ordered one of the junior nurses. "Yes, with a needle, now hurry!" She watched as the nervous nurse did as she was told, while she placed a respirator over the doctor's nose and mouth. "This had better work, I don't want to intubate if it's not necessary."
The marine watched and listened with growing horror, his anxiety winning it over the calm he was trying to force on himself. "What?"
"Don't worry corporal," the nurse promised, "he'll live. We'll be transporting to sickbay now. Meet us there or step closer." As Jayden stepped closer, the nurse ordered their transport. Upon arrival in sickbay, the doctor was immediately transferred to a bed and hooked up to several monitors. They had him breathing again and stabilised by the time the marine well and truly realised what was going on.
From another bed, Peter van Breughel observed the clutter of nurses and wondered what was going on. When he spotted a terrified looking marine holding a baby, he knew instantly that the patient was his son. "Jayden, what happened?" he called, not trusting his own legs to get up and join them.
Jayden approached, his face still anxious as he sensed his partner's anguish and fear. "Nathan had another heartattack," he said softly, "he collapsed on the bridge. He'll be fine, the nurse just promised."
From the side, Hannah and Donovan approached. "He'll be fine," Hannah reassured them both, "he's strong and this isn't the first time, though I think we should have him consider undergoing a transplant if this keeps up. He's sedated for the moment and we're going to let him rest as long as possible. So long as he's asleep, at least he won't worry about the boy."
Both Peter and Jayden nodded, then the marine tapped his combadge. "Mitchell to bridge. Nurse Lowell just assured me the doctor will make a full recovery. We'll keep you informed. Mitchell out."
Hannah nodded, before walking away to the Klingon woman, who was slowly regaining consciousness. Leaning over her, the nurse checked her injuries, then smiled comfortingly. "How do you feel?" she asked quietly, "well enough to try and sit up? No, you can't get all the way up. You were in a bad shape whem Mr Valad brought you in."
She tapped her combadge. "Mr Valad, your friend has regained consciousness, do you want to talk to her?"

"Jayden's still in there," Nathan replied, indicating the ready room. "He wanted to talk to the Admiral alone. I admit, I'm...worried," he stated, his expression anxious and somewhat pale, which corroborated this. "I'm sure he'll be done soon. Excuse me,” the doctor added hastily before heading across the bridge to Major Johnson.
While Nathan and Cyle spoke and Desert and Valad worked on tracking the ship of the kidnappers, Megan glanced at the ready room door. She needed to speak to the Admiral as soon as possible. The sooner she checked in and got a feel for his command style, the sooner the First Officer could determine what she was up against and get things in motion. Preparations had to be made for the team, and she needed to speak with Matt briefly. Pride’s suspicion had been unexpected, but she still needed to set her plan into motion and then follow through with it anyway.
"Have we made any progress on finding who kidnapped the kids?" the voice of the Senior Marine Officer asked, bringing her out of her thoughts at least for a moment.
“Commander Pride has identified at least part of how they managed to pull this off,” Megan replied, focusing on the mission again. “It appears they drifted in under very low power, conducted the kidnapping, and then drifted away, and allowed us to leave them behind. With this information, we’re working on tracking their ship. We’re also pursuing the theory that this is linked to the blackmailing group we just took down. Interrogations specialists are speaking with those we’d captured. It’s my belief that whoever was here the first time while we were linked the station who destroyed the body, created the illusion of damage, and set up the explosion in the nacelle probably made the security preparations for the kidnapping as well.”
"Cyle!" the desperate voice of the doctor called out, and since she was facing the ready room with her back to Nathan, by the time she’d turned around, the Major, who had been facing the right direction, had already moved to catch the baby as her father slumped to the deck and lay there unmoving, his face now terribly pale.
“Medical Emergency,” Megan called out while moving to join Cyle kneeling beside Nathan and checking for a pulse. Before she could ask the Major if he found one, Jayden burst from the ready room. Within a few moments, the medical team had arrived, tended to the doctor, and then left again with their patient, leaving Jayden behind holding onto Angelique. The Corporal quickly headed for the turbolift with the baby, and a tense, silent atmosphere descended on the remaining bridge crew, who quickly moved to return to their work, which was the only thing they could do.
Looking around at the worried faces, Megan glanced towards the ready room and realized that at least now the Admiral was free. Everyone continued with their duties as Commander Garrett handed the bridge over to Commander Pride and stepped over to the ready room before requesting entrance. The door slid open moments later, and stepping inside, she addressed her senior officer. “Admiral, Commander Garrett reporting in as ordered, Sir,” she began politely, acknowledging his greeting and then choosing to remain standing before moving right ahead with her report.
“The ship has been fully repaired, so the Jefferson is ready to go. As for the crew, there is quite a bit of tension due to the current circumstances, but I have faith in their abilities to set aside their personal feelings and do their jobs, especially as it relates to finding the children as well as the people responsible. I also believe we discovered how they were able to pull off the kidnapping, and we are working on tracking the course of their ship using this information. I also know the group we captured during our last mission is being interrogated, as the incidents are believed to be related. Hopefully by pursuing both avenues, we’ll have a lead very shortly.”
Hesitating now, Megan quickly gathered her thoughts before moving forward with the next bit of her report. “Sir, I know that we’d never met before and that given the current situation, we need to work together as a command team, so I’m going to be forthright. I have some high level connections due to my previous assignment, and I’ve called in a few favors to ensure the safe return of the children. A team of specialists is on their way here as we speak, which I’m sure you’ll be told shortly, if you haven’t been already. I requested them. Their purpose will be to assist locating the children and then conducting a rescue operation once their position is found.”
Hesitating again, the Commander continued. “I’d like to request being assigned as a liaison between the team and crew. If you’ve ever worked with this kind of team before, you know that they can be a little...well difficult. I have experience working with them, I know how to handle them, and...to be perfectly honest with you, Sir, I used to be one of them, before being assigned to the Jefferson. I think this is the best way to make good use of their presence and to ensure a successful rescue.”

Cyle stayed behind while the medical staff and Corporal Mitchell left for sickbay. Mulling over the information given to him by Megan he noticed the commander had left. Walking over to Commander Pride he cleared his throat quickly and spoke up "do you have anything to add to Commander Garrett's report?" Trying to gather as much information as he could, having been out of the loop for various reasons.
<tag Pride>
Cyle listened intently to Pride's words while making mental notes of his own. "Can you use an extra pair of hands for anything?"

Looking up at the Marine Major who had walked over to him and seeing Commander Garrett enter the ready room and turn the bridge over to him. He was still trying to gather his thoughts and his strenght he was drained and need a moment before responding t othe marines question.
Looking up at the Marine he collected his thoughts and put them into words " Yes I do have something to add something for you to work on and figure out. While I try and locate the ship the thought came to me while I was searching. I want you to take a moment and think about everything that has happened. I know that sounds stupid but just think for a moment."
Pausing to focus" Whoever did this knew how and where to hit us, it was not just a simple matter of knowing the lay out of the ship. They knew access codes and patrol schedules think about it for a moment. They knew when and where and how to pull this off just like a your Marines would if you were planning something. So the question comes down to this who told them what they neeeded to know. How did they know your patrol patterns and times thats a questin Major I really would like to have a answer to maybe you might want that answer as well." <Tag johnson>

Once Jayden had finished talking, Mc7 did not respond immediately. He wanted to consider his words carefully, as Once Jayden had finished talking, Mc7 did not respond immediately. He wanted to consider his words carefully, as he could tell the man had just been completely honest with him which was someone that could not have been easy given the Admirals previous relationship with Nathan.
"From the brief moments that I've seen you and Nathan together, it's clear to me that you make him as well as Angelique more than happy. I'm sure the same applies to Freddy as well. If you're the man Nathan wants to look after the children if anything were to happen to him then that is good enough for me. Computer, note in the ships log that as of this star date Lance Corporal Jayden Mitchell is now the adoptive parent of the children of Doctor Nathan Van Breughel."
A second after he had finished speaking, the computers cool female voice announced that it had been noted in the log. Standing, Mc7 walked around his desk and shook Jayden's hand, congratulating him. With his task complete, the marine left the ready room and re-entered the Bridge.
Moments later, the door chime sounded alerting Mc7 that he had another visitor. Calling for them to enter, the doors parted to reveal Commander Megan Garrett, the Jefferson's Executive Officer. As she began to report on the ship, and crews, status Mc7 noticed that she continued to stand to attention in front of the desk and not take a seat. It was to be expected that since she didn't know him that it would take a while for her to relax, even when they were alone. After informing him of her past career and arranging for a specialist team to join them on their hunt for the children, she continued,
"I’d like to request being assigned as a liaison between the team and crew. If you’ve ever worked with this kind of team before, you know that they can be a little...well difficult. I have experience working with them, I know how to handle them, and...to be perfectly honest with you, Sir, I used to be one of them, before being assigned to the Jefferson. I think this is the best way to make good use of their presence and to ensure a successful rescue."
Mc7 did not respond immediately, debating within himself how much of his past to share with Megan. Deciding that she had been honest with him, he was going to do the same.
"I'm not sure how much you know about my service history, but at one point I was assigned to Intelligence. I've worked with teams like the one you described in the past. I know the can be extremely useful, but I also know that at times they can over step the mark. I'm happy for you to be the liaison between the crew and the team, but I'll be relying you you to keep them in check. I told Matt I would get Caleb back, and I intend to follow through on that promise, but there are some things even I wont do. Do you think you'll be able to keep them in check?
<tag Megan>
Having finished his discussion with Megan, the two officers made their way onto the Bridge. As soon as they stepped on, Mc7 noticed a sombre atmosphere. Sitting in the Captains chair, Mc7 asked for a report from the Major Johnson who informed the CO and XO of the incident with Nathan. It was at that point that Commander Pride chipped in with his theory that the kidnappers cloaked and drifted away from the Jefferson.
"Finally, a lead we can follow up on. I'm sorry Ensign, I don't know your name, " the Acting Commanding Officer said, looking at the young officer manning the Science station, "I want you to work with the Operations Department and find that ship. Try searching for any subspace variances in the general vicinity, some older cloaking devices create these when ships are in motion."
"Major, I want your Marines ready to deploy at a moments notice. Commander Pride, as soon as Science and Ops have made progress in locating the ship, set a course. Ok people, this ship and her crew have been through a lot in the last few days. It's time to start the healing process, and the best thing we can to give it a kick start is to bring those children home safely!"

"I'm not sure how much you know about my service history, but at one point I was assigned to Intelligence. I’ve worked with teams like the one you described in the past. I know they can be extremely useful, but I also know that at times they can overstep the mark. I am happy for you to be the liaison between the crew and the team, but I will be relying you to keep them in check. I told Matt I would get Caleb back, and I intend to follow through with that promise, but there are some things even I won’t do. Do you think you will be able to keep them in check?” he asked.
A slight smile crossing her face, Megan replied, “That won’t be a problem, Sir, as long as they want to remain in Starfleet.” If there was one thing she was sure of, it was her ability to remain in command and have her orders followed. “And I’m just as determined to ensure that the children are recovered safely, but like you, there are lines I won’t cross, and I’ll work with the team to ensure that they stay in line.”
Feeling much more comfortable with the current situation, the temporary CO/XO team exited the ready room. While the Admiral was briefed on Nathan’s condition and Pride’s discovery, Megan was already several steps ahead of thinking about what she needed to do next. With MC manning the bridge and working with Pride, Johnson, and Tavik on locating and following the kidnapper’s vessel, Commander Garrett took the opportunity to head to her office. It was time she spoke with the approaching team to see what she had to work with and what she was up against.
Within a few minutes, the monitor above her desk displayed the interior of a shuttle. It looked a lot like hers, only bigger, as from her vantage point she could see two manned consoles in the background. In the foreground was the carefully composed, blank face of an average human with dark hair and eyes who in spite of his veiled expression did not appear particularly happy to see her. “Commander Garrett,” he acknowledged evenly, his voice like his appearance barely betraying any emotion.
The game had just begun, but unfortunately for him, she was an expert. “Lieutenant Commander Berelli,” she replied just as evenly. “I expect you have been informed of the current situation, as well as the chain of command in regards to this mission.”
A glint of disdain showed on his features before he schooled them once more. “Yes, Ma’am, Commander H’Ratan informed us that you will be heading this operation.”
“That is correct. While I’m certain that you received a proper briefing regarding the mission specifics, I am calling to bring you up to speed on the nature of my presence aboard the Jefferson. I hold the position of First Officer while also maintaining my status as an agent; however, the rest of the crew remains in the dark regarding my duel positions. I’ve spoken with Admiral MC7of9 and partially informed him of this, and he granted me an assignment as a liaison between the crew and your team. In front of them, I should be addressed as the Jefferson’s First Officer, but alone, I want it abundantly clear that I’m the lead agent assigned to this mission, is that clear?”
Normally, Megan wouldn’t be quite so forceful, but if there was one thing she had learned about working with other agents, it was that leadership had to be established early and indisputably. Visibly unhappy now, with his comrades glancing at each other in the background, Vince Berelli simply replied, “Yes, Ma’am, perfectly clear.”
“Good,” Commander Garrett responded briefly before continuing. “Now, in spite of my cover, you will not need to be so inconspicuous. The crew is most concerned with recovering the children, and you’re being brought aboard as a team specializing in rescue operations. Most will assume that you’re in another organization, but few should question you. However, if I am compromised, I can assure you my superior will not be happy, and you can expect your careers to come to a very abrupt end.”
Gaze hardening further, Berelli once again kept his response brief. “Understood.”
Everything going as expected, the Commander asked, “Expected time of arrival?”
Glancing quickly at his readout, Vince replied, “I estimate we’ll rendezvous in two hours thirty-seven minutes, Ma’am, pending any changes in course on your part.”
Nodding once, Megan replied, “I will meet you in the shuttlebay upon your arrival, Garrett out.” Closing the channel, a slight smirk crossed her face as she leaned back in her chair. Clearly, not much had changed as far as Black Ops team leaders went.
They would arrive soon, and there were still arrangements to be made, but there was one more thing Commander Garrett felt she needed to do before beginning this mission in earnest, so she soon left her office. Arriving at the appropriate deck and the door to her destination, Megan signaled for entrance and waited several moments before the door slid open. “Captain Reynolds, I hope I’m not coming at a bad time. May I come in for a moment? There’s something that I want to discuss.”

Doctor Peter van Breughel observed his son from a slight distance, a worried frown creasing his brow. While he should've regained consciousness by now, Nathan still hadn't. Additionally, he still hadn't been taken off life support either, which worried him even more. He was pulled from his musings by the movement of the tiny bundle in his arms. Smiling slightly, he looked down on the girl's big dark blue eyes which stared up at him in their innocense.
Then, he wrinkled his nose, which in turn made the infant make a sound what appeared to be a giggle. "Ah are you laughing at me?" the doctor asked of his granddaughter, who of course could not respond in kind. Though she was far too young to already be laughing, Peter just assumed it was a random action, one she probably couldn't repeat just like that.
He placed the baby on a vacant biobed, grateful for a nurse who deftly shoved a new pair of diapers and cloths into his arms. "Thank you," he murmured, though he lifted concerned eyes up to Jayden, who was sitting next to Nathan. The young marine hadn't so much as moved from his side every since his son was admitted with a severe heart attack. Jayden was leaning forward, one hand tightly clasped around one of Nathan's, while his other arm was resting over the CMO's abdomen. It was clear to the old doctor that the young marine was worried sick.
Returning his attention to the infant on the bed, he deftly changed her diaper then handed her to a nurse to be fed. "Jayden, are you all right?" Peter asked gently, kneeling beside the marine, "he'll be all right, I promise. He's always pulled through so far, hasn't he?"
Jayden looked up and Peter was startled to see his expression; it was haunted and the doctor could see Jayden had been crying. Awkwardly, he patted the young man on his shoulder. "He'll be fine," he promised again, "and he'll have you to thank for it. I'm sure if not for you, or the children, he'd have passed on long ago. Don't worry about him, really." His own words quite shocked him, but he knew them to be true.
"I'm sure," Jayden whispered in return, "I haven't been able to tell him the good news yet. I'm not sure he'll hear if I do now. I'm so worried."
Peter could see that much, beyond the longing and the devotion. "What was that then?" he questioned, squeezing his shoulder in comfort.
"The admiral approved his request, but I'm sure he didn't mean for Freddie to be in that bargain."
"What request was that?" Peter raised both eyebrows in surprise, he wasn't aware that his son had made any requests, let alone of his old friend MC7of9.
"He wanted me to adopt Angelique," Jayden whispered, allowing a bit of joy filter through his voice, "he only mentioned Angelique but the admiral approved the request for both. He'd be so happy if he heard that news."
At that precise moment, Nathan stirred and opened his eyes. His gaze was filled with confusion and fear, but both parent and partner were quickly on their feet, murmuring reassurances. "You'll be all right son," Peter said softly, "just stay still. You're on life support, you gave us quite a scare."
"It hurts," Nathan murmured under his breath.
Jayden's expression turned from anxiety to painful as he picked up on his partner's feelings. "They had to apply CPR, that's why you're hurting," he explained, "you collapsed on the bridge."
"I'm sorry...any news?"
Hannah approached, the monitor having alerted her that her patient had regained consciousness. Deftly, she disengaged the life support now that he was breathing on his own. "You'll be sore for a while," she explained, "but you'll make a full recovery, especially if you allow yourself plenty of rest."
"We'll make sure he does," Peter promised, taking her arm to lead her aside. "And we won't be troubling him with news about his son either. His main concern is getting well."
Jayden meanwhile cried tears of pure joy, resting his head on Nathan's chest for a few seconds, listening to the beat of his heart. "Your request was approved love," he whispered.
Weakly, Nathan reached up to stroke his partner's hair. "I heard," he whispered back. "Jayden...?"
The marine sat up, frowning. "What is it?" he asked, visibly concerned.
"Marry me," Nathan whispered, before passing out again.
Jayden couldn't believe his ears, but a smile broke through his tears. This was something he hadn't expected, not yet anyway. Especially since he was under the impression that marriage wasn't an option for him, given he had been married before. "Yes," he then whispered, even though Nathan wouldn't hear.

Looking at the Admiral and Commander Garrett as they left the ready room. He could tell what ever had transpired in the ready room was good news for Commander Garrett. He didn't need to guess what was talked about he already had a good idea. There was no way she could get a team aboard with out talking to there commanding officer.
As everybody took there turn updating the admiral he listened to orders. " Sir I believe I can get the ball moving on tracking the ship. That is until the science and engineering departs and program the senors. It will take alot out of me but we would at least be heading in there direction. The only catch is I will need full authority on course and speed changes with out having to check with you. Its not that I'm trying to take over its just I loose the trail every time I have to break my concentration. It takes alot to pick the right pattern and focus on it because it was hidden so well"<Tag MC_7of_9>
He had hoped he didn't over step his bounds but he was only trying to help. He was already starting to feel the strain on himself but he would deal with it. He hadn't rest since they came back and he was feeling the effects of the strain. With the Doctor going down and breaking his thoughts it was going to take alot to get back on track again.
He looked up to see Commander Garrett leave, He really didn't care what she was going to to but made a note of it. He had hope Commander Garrett was right about everything she told him but only time would tell. Right now he didn't have the time to check on her and to be honest he had to give her some trust until she proved she didn't deserve it.

ooc:// We'll start with D'Etora. This will go between D'Etora and Valad.
D'Etora felt horrible. No. Pain is good. I am a Klingon. I do not fear pain. Oh who am I kidding, this hurts like hell. She didn't open her eyes yet, since she was very lightheaded. She stirred a little bit to see if she could still move, but moving proved difficult, almost too difficult. The lightheadedness dissapated a little bit and she thought she would chance opening her eyes. Upon opening them, she first saw Head Nurse Hannah Lowell staring down at her, smiling. D'Etora thought the nurse said something, but she could make it out. Her head cleared and D'Etora began to understand what Miss Lowell was saying.
"How do you feel?" Nurse Lowell began. "Well enough to sit up?"
"Of course I can get up," D'Etora responded with that forceful Klingon tone. She tried to sit up fully.
"No, you can't get all the way up. You were in bad shape when Mr. Valad brought you in," the nurse said.
"Valad?" D'Etora asked weakly. The nurse nodded.
Nurse Lowell then spoke over the Comm, "Mr. Valad, your friend has regained consciousness. Do you want to talk to her?"
D'Etora began to feel lightheaded again.
Move to Valad on the Bridge:
Valad scanned the area in space again and again. He found nothing. Absolutely nothing. Not a warp signature. Not an ion trail. Not even a damn displaced spec of space dust. This was not like him. Valad always found something, but he wasn't completely focused on his task. He was worried about someone. Who was he kidding. He knew who he was worried about: D'Etora. There was something about her that made him feel queasy and nervous every time he was around her. A feeling he didn't quite understand.
Just then, it all happened so quickly. Dr. van Breughel had barely walked out of the ready room then he suffered a heart attack. As soon as Nathan hit the floor, Valad immediately recognized the effect. He had witnessed many of his family pass on from heart attacks, or rather been near them. It was very near to Valad's heart and he sincerely hoped Nathan would survive. The Jefferson did not need this. Valad continued scanning, but once again, it was to no avail.
Just then a voice came over the comm.
=/\= Mr. Valad, your friend has regained consciousness. Do you want to talk to her? =/\=
He looked at the amdiral, who was manning the bridge. "Admiral, permission to leave the bridge for a short time."
(tag MC)
"Thank you sir, I'll be back shortly." Valad turned to the relief ensign. "Run continuous scans and inform me of anything. Even if it is just a displaced dust particle." He tapped the comm badge. "I'm on my way."
After a turbolift ride and a short walk, Valad found himself in sickbay. He walked over to D'Etora, who was beginning to lose consciousness again. "You alive?"
"More or less." She paused and sighed. "Thanks."
"Anytime," he said nervously.
As D'Etora lost consciousness, she said slowly, but fiercely, "you . . . better be . . . here when I wake . . . up." She lost consciousness again. Valad looked at Nurse Lowell.
"She going to be alright?" He looked over at Nathan. "And how about him?"
(reply Hannah)
"Well, I'm going back to the bridge, let me know when she wakes up again." And with that he made his way back up to the bridge.
Valad reentered the bridge and took his station. "Admiral, did I miss any clues?"
(reply MC)

Seeing Valad return he could tell he was worried about something, he couldn't be sure what it was but he could tell by his body language. He wanted to see if everything was alright with him but didn't know him well enought to ask such questions yet. He was still waiting for the admiral to reply to his request on helm control and started plotting a course.
He was getting a little tired of stretching his sense so much, normaly he would not have to not since his early training had he felt the strain. He would have to devote more time to pratice when this mission was over.
" Admiral I have the original course layed in and we can move out when ready. After that I will make all course changes needed until the science team and engineers can dial in the senors. "

"She going to be alright?" He looked over at Nathan. "And how about him?"
Hannah smiled sympathetically when the operations chief approached her. "She'll be fine, as long as she follows doctor's orders," she promised, before following Tavik's gaze to her own boss.
"Eventually, he'll be fine," she answered sadly, "he was awake for a few minutes, talked to his father and mate, then lost consciousness again."
This time, she nodded over to Mitchell, who looked as though he was about to cry again. "His father will take over the running of sickbay for the time being, and thus'll take over the care for your friend. I assure you, he's an experienced and qualified doctor. In time though, we'll see how much damage this did to Nathan. You know his son is missing, right? And his daughter's life is threatened? It's all taking it's toll on him, and he was only just recovering from his previous trauma."
"Well, I'm going back to the bridge, let me know when she wakes up again."
"I'll call you myself or Doctor van Breughel senior will do so. I promise. Oh, would you please report to the admiral that Nathan will recover? The admiral is a personal friend, I think he'll like to know. I'm sure Nathan would want him to."

Unknown location Freddy squealed in fright as he was shoved from the shuttlecraft and landed with a thud in a thick layer of freshly fallen snow. With his short sleeves, he was quickly shivering with cold, then cried out when the Reynolds twins landed beside him. Caleb seemed more sensible and stepped out on his own accord, reaching for one of his cousins to help him up.
His reaching hands were batted away roughly, the boys immediately seperated. "Kyle! Alex!" Freddy screamed, as the youngsters were taking away by a very tall and burly figure, carried away one under each arm. He felt himself being picked up, then flung in a corner once they were inside a poorly lit room. There were more children his age there, all looking frightened, pale and ill-fed. The room smelled of urine and other bodily secretions, which made the boy gag.
"You will work," the tall creature boomed, "until your parents have complied with our demands. Refuse to work, and you'll hurt. Work well, and you'll hurt less. I don't tolerate fights among you, and you'll be punished accordingly. Disobey me, and you'll not see the light of day again." Four more children were tossed inside, before the heavy door slammed shut.
"Caleb?" Freddy called softly, hoping the older boy was thrown in with him. "Caleb where are we? Why aren't we rescued already?"
Jefferson, main sickbay
Jayden had once more fell asleep in his seat beside his mate's bed. Peter had retired to the CMO's office to go over the latest reports and get himself up to date, while the chief nurse and her chartered assistant had gone off for a meal break. No-one was paying attention to the dark-clad, fully masked person that had walked into sickbay.
Nathan woke abruptly when the oxygen mask was yanked from his face and gasped for breath. He tried calling out, but a hand was firmly clamped over his mouth. His eyes widened in fear, the monitors starting to increase the frequency of their steady beeps as his heartrate increased.
"You failed," the creature hissed down at him, "you'll not see your son again if we don't get what we want."
The doctor grabbed at his assailant, but was quickly subdued, his left arm pinned to the bed by his assailant's free hand. With his right though, he managed to grab hold of Jayden's phaser. Not caring about the setting, Nathan blindly fired off a few rounds, two shooting wildly into sickbay, while one struck his attacker squarely in the chest.
By that time, Jayden had startled awake, noticing his partner's state of distress. "Security to sickbay!" the marine cried out, jumping up to secure the attacker. "Admiral MC7of9, we have one of the possible kidnappers secured. He just attacked the doctor!" Looking up, he saw his mate had once more lost consciousness, the oxygen mask dangling off the side of the bed.
He tapped his combadge again, while Peter came rushing out. "Commander T'ress, your presence is required in sickbay, immediately!" Someone had to take care of the baby, while father and grandfather were occupied.

Marina had been on duty in the brig when the call had come in, and with sickbay only being one deck above them, she figured she and those stationed there were probably the closest to the situation and quickly headed to respond while checking in with her boss for permission. Being so close, it had made more sense to her to use the access hatches, so after sprinting down the corridor, hurriedly climbing the access ladder, and then running from the junction room to sickbay, the Ensign was out of breath as she entered main sickbay, but she had been the first one to arrive. A cursory glance around sickbay revealed one of the nurses and the elder Doctor van Breughel hovering over Nathan’s biobed and a man lying on the floor entirely dressed in black with Jayden standing over the assailant, a phaser leveled at him.
Long since over the previous misunderstanding between them, Marina retrieved her own phaser, ordered one of the doctors to lock down the medical bay, and did a security sweep of the premises to ensure no other intruders were present. There were none, so the security officer moved back into the main area and approached Jayden’s position, eyeing the man on the floor. “I’ll ask you what happened later. Right now, we need to get him to the brig.” Giving the Marine a chance to check in on Nathan, Ensign Garrett contacted the security office and recommended another full sweep of the ship be conducted while requested a beam out for their prisoner. As soon as the arrangements were made and the unconscious intruder vanished from sickbay to reappear in his cell, she motioned for Jayden to join her. “I’ll need to speak to those who saw or heard anything, but I’ll ask you first. What happened?”
<Tag Jayden>
Nodding several times as he spoke, Marina was also surveying the room while she was listening. While she couldn’t see the immediate area surrounding the doctor’s bedside with the others tending to him, several items were on the floor next to the monitors which indicated that there had been some sort of a struggle. There were also mild phaser burns, one on the ceiling in the immediate area of Nathan’s bed, and the other on the opposite wall noticeably less severe. Once Jayden was done telling what he had seen, the security officer pointed out what she saw. “Well with those items on the ground, I’d say there was a brief struggle, and the burn on the ceiling and across the room indicates that Nathan probably missed him a couple of times before he stunned the guy, which makes sense seeing he’s a doctor. I’m just glad he managed to get a lucky shot, but what I don’t understand is what this guy was doing here in the first place. Even if he had succeeded in doing something to Nathan, you were right there and would have subdued him almost immediately.”

Looking at Valad and double checking his course heading, they got the message from sickbay. Intruder alert which was catching everybody off guard. The ship senors did not detect another ship in the area. Closing his eye's and searching the area around the ship he didn't detect anything but space. It appeared this mission was coming up with more questions then answers for the moment.
Looking at Valad " I have a course and heading we can begin our search, I want to keep checking for another ship but time is of the essence right now. The longer we stay still the more the trail starts to disappear. I dont want to devide my attention anymore then I already have or I'll loose the trail. Contact Commander Garrett see if she wants us to move, I can still pick up the trail but I want to double check for any other ships" <Tag Valad>
Looking back down at his screen he was trying to do a high powerd short range scan. He wasn't perfect and that fact he was tired meant he could have missed something if it was hiding.

Jayden looked positively embarassed. "I'm afraid I didn't hear or see anything," he confessed, "I was asleep. I only woke when I heard phaser fire and Nathan crying out." His cheeks coloured. "I'm glad he was able to grab my phaser, though I still don't understand how he managed. Look, he even fired right-handed...there's no way he could've gotten at it with his dominant hand."
The marine hovered protectively over his mate, though Peter tried to shoo him away. "Go talk to T'Ress," the old doctor suggested, nudging the young man away. "Now that Miss Garrett is here, Nathan's safe. I already told you he'll be fine, look he's stirring already. You know he's resilient, now go!"
Jayden murmured something under his breath, kissed Nathan on his cheek then went to the tall feline. "I have a favour to ask of you sir," he started nervously, gesturing towards the CMO's office. "Peter's taken over sickbay, and I can't take care of our daughter right now. Would you be willing to watch her for a few hours? She's still in danger, so please do keep your claws ready if you're willing. I can't leave here, I hope you understand?"
<J'Varr>
Meanwhile, Peter tended to his son, carefully replacing the oxygen mask. "No lasting damage," he sighed in relief, while making sure his son was comfortable. "He should wake up soon, you can stay here to wait if you wish ma'am. Just promise me you won't excite him any more than he's already been, and under no circumstance make mention of his son. The situation is bad enough as it is."

He was getting a little tired of all the waiting, according to the senors and all his searching there was nother ship in the area. Commander Garrett team was aboard already and it seemed alot of people had a bunch of things going on. He knew he might get into a little trouble later but he would deal with that. With out anybody saying anything he programed the course and speed and engaged the warp drive. They would be on the ships trail within a hour and he needed a break. His senses were taxed and he was needing a break before he had to tax them again. Looking over at Valad " There's nothing to do for the next hour I'm heading down to sick bay to check on the Doctor to make sure he's okay"<Tag Valad>
He arrived in sick bay to see controled chaos was the best way to explain it He walked over to where the Doctor was resting it appeared the doctor was sleeping whether drug induced or not.
He felt sorry for him he wasn't sure that Nathan would hear him or remember anything he said " Doctor you gave quite a few people a scare on the bridge. But I wanted you to know that I will do everything I can to find those kids. Even if I have to get out and push the ship."
He stood there and just watched the doctor breath. It was comforting him a little the stress on the bridge combined with taxing his sense was draining. Just watching a person breath with no other distractions was relaxing him. A simple pattern of inhale and exhale. Picking out patterns was taxing but simple ones could actually relax you if you just follow it.

Valad took his seat after returning to the bridge and reporting in. As he sat down and recieved the report from the ops officer who replaced him while he was away, he turned around to the admiral. "Sir, Nurse Lowell reported that Dr. van Breughal will make a full recovery." And in saying that he turned back around and looked at the report. In the report he found . . . nothing. Not a traveling comet, not even a displaced dust particle. NOt one damn clue.
The next little while went by very slowly. Not much was said because there was nothing to report. This whole stituation annoyed Valad to no end. He wanted to find the kids and get them back safely. He felt helpless.
Just then, an idea came to him. Valad turned to Commander Pride as he spoke, "I could modify the sensors to pick up not only reverse polaric shields but also inversly polarized shields. The scan area would need to be pretty tight and centralized, so I would need a heading . . ." he stopped as he actually looked at Pride, realizing the commander was still in deep thought. Valad chuckled. "Never mind."
Valad made the necessary modifications to the sensors in about twenty minutes. Suddenly, Commander Pride seemed to wake up from thought and said, "I have a course and heading. We can begin our search. I want to keep checking for another ship but time is of the essence."
"Right," replied Valad. "I've modified the sensors to pick up inverse shield harmonics, so be sure to account for that." They continued scanning to no avail.
After another eternity of scanning, Valad noticed that Commander Pride was getting a bit jittery. It was confirmed when Pride said, "There's nothing to do for the next hour. I'm heading down to sickbay to check on the doctor to make sure he is ok."
As he walked of, Valad couldn't help but think why Pride had got up and left. Nothing to do? Of course there was something to do. Scan! Valad was sure the doctor would rather Commander Pride scan for the children that come to check up on him. Commander Pride left the Bridge. As much as he didn't approve of Pride leaving the bridge, Valad couldn't blame him. He wanted to leave too and go check on D'Etora. Needless to say, she would kill him if he left the bridge now.
Move to D'Etora:
She awaoke with a start. D'Etora slowly opened her eyes. As she looked around, she noticed things were out of place. "What happened?" she said weakly.

Move to Valad:
As it seemed, another eternity went by. Valad looked at his station console and noticed he had been at ops for nearly ten hours. I need to get off the bridge. Just to check one more time, Valad initiated another scan on the heading Commander Pride ie had indicated. It would take only about a minute. He looked up at the viewscreen as he waited. Suddenly, there was a beep in front of him. It came from the console indicating the scan was complete and had uncovered something. He looked to see what it was. It was . . . a ship! Exhilarated, Valad raced through the data to confirm it. Sure enough, it was and the proximity red alert sounded.
"Admiral, I've found it. Its about one hundred and twenty-five thoudand meters off our port. I'll call for Commander Garrett and Commander Pride." He spoke into the comm. "Bridge officers report to your stations. We've found the ship."
Once everyone had returned, he looked back at command for orders.
