OFF: Just throwing this up here as a place for crew to post that wish to post something. I personally have read through the end of the JM and caught myself up with the situation. I would like to offer my personal apology both to Captain Irae and every member of the El Sal crew for my extreme length of absence.
I was not only swamped with classwork but bludgeoned by a severe deficit in creativity the past few weeks. I'll do my best to get myself flowing again and can hopefully avoid such a status in the future. I do sincerely apologize.
I'm going to start this off with a story-wise explanation of my reality-based absence, so it will be mainly backpost. People may make their own contributions as they choose for the time being as this is a down-time period before Captain Irae and I institute a new mission for us all. Enjoy yourselves, and once more, I apologize profusely for not providing a better example as First Officer these past weeks.
ON: Having gotten the directive from Captain Jira to attend a briefing aboard the Nevada, Captain Irae selected Lieutenant Parker and the seemingly-inhabited body of Miss Nokomis to accompany her to her fellow Captain's briefing room. Despite falling victim to one hallucination already, this necessitated leaving Savot in command of the El Salvador in the meantime, though Deis felt, or at least hoped, that his vulcanness would prove enough to stave off any fully debilitating mental assaults. With a grim nod of support, she and the others were off to transport to the Nevada.
************************************
Given the serious mental condition of a vast majority of the crew, Savot sat at his Ops station maintaining a painstakingly meticulous vigil over each and every crucial ship's system keeping a watchful eye out for the slightest deviation from the normal safety zones in any area. Minute after minute, blending into well over an hour flowed by without incident, and just as Savot was about to take the apparent lull in incident to contact the away team and inquire as to their situation, an alarm bleep ran across his console. The warp core in main engineering was losing containment, and someone had activated the security fields surrounding the entire area. If anyone was still sensible enough to try and solve the problem, there was no way they could get to it...
************************************
Stepping off the turbolift, Savot immediately began to dash down the corridors, the lights flickering through varying shades of brightness being only the initial sign that something was severely amiss on this deck. The next sign made itself abundantly clear as the vulcan Commander rounded the corner into main engineering, and was struck along the chest with a piece of deck panelling swung by an affected crewman...
Savot's momentum combined with the laws of physics from the impact of the object sent his feet flipping out from under him, whirling a complete circle in the air to fall face first on the deck, luckily catching himself on his hands before striking his head on the decking. Years of martial combat training throughout his early life on Vulcan leapt into play instantly as Savot quickly rolled to one side to avoid a repeat blow from the crewman's improvised weapon.
His instinctive move was rewarded with a metallic clang as the panelling struck down at the spot his lower spine occupied the moment before. Shoulder-rolling backwards brought Savot to his feet once more behind the crewman who, having extended himself for the downward strike, was vulnerable as he straightened and fell victim to a well-applied vulcan neck pinch. As that crewman fell, Savot turned in time to see a female Lt. Commander charging him wielding a portable anti-grav unit as a club. With insufficient time to dodge, Savot set himself to endure the brunt of the blow and prepare a counterattack, but as he did so the attacker arched backwards in mid-stride, dropping her weapon and collapsing to the deck. As she dropped from view Savot was welcomed to the sight of Adam Parsons, whose arm was extended with a phaser in hand.
"Your timing is impeccable Mr. Parsons", the vulcan commander said gratefully. The two officers then quickly made their way to the main engineering console, brushing past crewmen who were well beyond any sense of normalcy at this point. They even had to brush past a trio of officers using torn out cabling as jump rope. As they reached the console the computer's countdown of the core containment field read only 17 seconds remaining before containment failure and warp core breach.
With a quick nod between them, Savot and Parsons began tapping away the command access codes necessary to lower the security fields someone had hot-wired in place around the core area, the fields winking into non-existence with their typical flash of light and sound. Savot then ran towards the main core console along the bulkhead behind the warp core while Adam faced back out into the main expanse to guard the Commander's back.
Savot typed in the containment restoration protocols as the seconds ticked away. With 3 remaining, Savot had completed the protocol entry and had nothing left to do aside from pressing the final confirmation key. As his hand rose to the wall console to do just that, an insane roar bellowed forth from the shadowy depths just across the room from Savot's position. Parsons spun to face the source, poised to fire as he did so, but turned only in time to see a traditional Klingon handaxe fly from the hands of the heretofore concealed crewman, hurtling straight towards Commander Savot...
Savot, having heard the roar but knowing there was no choice but to ensure the containment was restored on the core, continued with his movements, bringing his hand level with the final button. Parsons watched in alarm as the axe flew through the air, his phaser shot striking down the hallucinating klingon crewman giving him just enough time to turn his head towards Commander Savot just as the axe gored into the left of the vulcan's back.
Whether or not the vulcan's mental discipline would have kept him from crying out from the pain would never be known, for as the weapon struck and Savot lurched from the impact, his head flung backward and green blood geysered upwards from his mouth. Fortunately for the rest of the ship, the impact also pushed the vulcan's right hand forward the remaining distance to the confirmation button on the wall console, striking the now blood-spattered console with 2 seconds remaining on the containment fields.
The most central of the El Sal's 3 warp cores hummed to stability just as one of its saviors slid down the bulkhead smearing it with green to land face first with a thud upon the deck. Adam's face contorted in horror as he rushed to the fallen commander whilst tapping his commbadge, =^= Parsons to Sickbay! Medical Emergency Main Engineering! Commander Savot's down, repeat he is down! =^=
*************************************
Just as everything seemed over, the Pacifier artifact was in good hands and being dealt with, both vessels had been shielded against any further madness, and Lt. Nokomis had been returned to her own body and given a clean bill of health from Captain Irae in sickbay and been given clearance to go to her quarters to rest, the victory was blemished as med techs rushed Commander Savot into sickbay on an antigrav stretcher, axe still in his back so as not to have opened the wound further before getting him to sickbay. Green blood continued to bubble forth from the vulcan's mouth as he lay seemingly lifeless upon the stretcher and was set down onto a biobed.
Captain Irae watched the entry in nearly paralyzed shock, having believed everything was over and in hand, and now to see something like this... No, no time for that. Every second's hesitation increased the odds that she would lose her friend and First Officer forever. Instantly raising her arms for the nurses to clothe her in her surgeon's robes and gloves, Deis Irae suited up, and waged a war to pry a man back from the doorstep of death itself...

OOC a bit of back posting to finish my thoughts on the JM ...
************************
Lt. Gaz wasn't sure if the mission was a success or not, but was too busy with getting the helm back in order from the all the strangeness that had happened on board. Someone took the flight controls and routed them to cargo bay two while their mind was being affected by the Artifact. It took Jamey about an hour to un-do this and put them back on the bridge.
Returning to star base for repairs was an option but he didn't know if the Captain wanted to return to the base or not. The First Officer was still in surgery and the ship was really an spooky place to be right now as people didn't know what they had done during this mission.
"Lt. Gaz to Captain Irae" Jamey requested over the communication system. "I know your busy sir, but are you wanting to go back to star base for repairs?"
<Irae>
Jamey had been thinking about what happened to him during this mission ... and what happened to Jira. How could the symbiont communicate with people outside of the symbiont pools on Trill? How could both he and the Captain of the Nevada live as long as they did being separated from their respective symbionts? All questions that he wanted to talk to Harrias Jira about. He thought that if the Captain would return to the star base, maybe he could get with Jira and talk to him about all of this. However, if anything more became of this both Jira and Gaz would have to go back to Trill for medical examinations and help in getting re-connected to their symbiont.

OFF: I, too, apologise for my absence the last bit of the joint mission. I went on LOA, and I was too far behind when I got back with schoolwork and such to catch all the way up on the mission. Sorry.

OOC: I also apologize for my absence. I was out of town for a wedding and forgot to post an LOA. I'm back now though and see the mission is winding up.
ON: Parsons remained on board the El Sal while several senior officers beamed over to the Nevada for a briefing. The CTSO remained on the bridge as long as possible, directing the few coherent security personnel he had left around the ship to contain fights and secure vital areas.
When there were no longer enough security personnel responding to ensure the safety of the ship, the lieutenant restricted access to the bridge to senior officers and began to run the gantlet to main engineering with a holstered phaser.
Making his way past oblivious and sometimes belligerent crewmen and women, Parsons moved closer to the Engine room, using his phaser when necessary.
Several stunned crewmembers later, the CTSO rounded a corner to find Savot under attack. The lieutenant drew his phaser and fired. Parsons then accompanied the XO to Engineering and assisted in Savot's attempt to save the ship. Just as the XO was finishing, Parsons heard a war cry and turned to see a Klingon charging his Commander. Parsons fired and dropped the Klingon, but as he did Savot was struck with an edged weapon in the back.
The sound of the ship's computer returning systems to normal barely registered as Parsons ran to his superior officer, now spitting blood. The CTSO held the Commander and screamed medical emergency into his combadge. Parsons stayed with Savot until he was taken into surgery. Slumping against a bulkhead outside of sickbay, soaked in green blood, the tough young man responsible for the safety and security of one of the fleet's most formidable starships began to weep. Perhaps it was seeing Savot struck down, perhaps it was the events of the last few days and the desperate situation, perhaps it was just a lack of sleep.
Parsons' moment of weakness passed and he returned to his quarters, stripped out of his uniform covered with thick green blood and piled it onto the floor. It sat there for only a moment before it was vaporized. The ship's alarm wailed for a moment before the lieutenant silenced it.
After a shower and a fresh uniform the young officer was back on duty, manning his post on the bridge, directing cleanup crews.

Nokomis walked up to Jamey and said, "hi there, care to join me for some horseback riding in holodeck 3" asked Nokomis.
"sure," Jamey replied back, "I love to ride horses ... as to why people are mad at you ... well ... I guess this past mission was a bit much for us all." Not letting another moment pass, Jamey suggested, "hey, I have a program that is written for the American West ... I have some really beautiful paint horses that we could ride." Looking at Nokomis, she nodded and they both went to the holodeck.
After about twenty minutes of riding, they were both at a good trot with their horses looking out over a grassy plain. Jamey turned to Nokomis and asked, "Do you remember anything from this past mission? ... I mean ... there was a time there after I had my bad dream that I couldn't remember what I was doing ... me and my Trill Symbiont were separated. I have never felt so ... well... so alone in my life. It was the first time I had ever had a single thought from the time that I was joined with Gaz" Jamey didn't even like to think about it ... and he hoped that it would never happen again. Jamey looked over at Nokomis and could tell that she was finding it hard to say anything ... he knew that she wouldn't remember anything ... but he did want to know what she felt ...

Jamey was looking at the beautiful sight that the holodeck had made ... thinking to himself how he still couldn't believe this holodeck technology. Upon hearing Nokomis' question about how Xena made her act he responded.
"Nokomis, I really don't know much until ... well ... I was standing in Jira's ready room with you and the others ... and .. well .. you throwed Jira across his own ready-room ... or who ever was 'in you' did." Jamey didn't want to upset her but he thought she should know, "It wasn't until the force fields were in place ... the god of whatever he said, left you. You were taken back to the El Sal after that ..." Trying to reassure her he added, "I don't think you will be held accountable for what you had no control over ... maybe after you rest some ... you will be able to understand what happened to you and how it is affecting you now."
Seeing a stream about 400 meters in front of them ... he started his horse towards the stream ... "have you ever rode in water? ... it can be really fun." Jamey asked.

Gaz and Nokomis spent the rest of the day riding in the holodeck ... horses were always therapeutic to Gaz. Returning the horses back to the stables Gaz took off the saddle and took the bit out of the horse's mouth and started to brush the horse down. He knew this was a holodeck horse and it would be gone as soon as the program was ended ... but the horse didn't know that. Jamey wanted to thank the horse for how well it did on the ride. Looking over to Nokomis Jamey said ...
"I have to go now ... this has been real fun. I have an assignment on the star base that Star Fleet has assigned me to. I don't even know what it is right now ... but I have to report soon. Hey, the next time we find ourselves in the same star system ... we need to do this again. Thanks for the offer to join you."
Nokomis and Gaz left the holodeck and Gaz headed to-wards his quarters to pack. After about an hour of getting his things he was ready to go ... turning back to look at his home for past several months ... "Computer, lights off."
*** later after walking off the gantry onto the base ***
With his bag over his shoulder he headed off to the next adventure

OOC: Back everyone, sorry for the inexcusable delay.
~In Sickbay~
*Deis shakes the shock and gives a silent prayer to god, a momentary closing of her eyes. At first its hard to shed her personal concern...this isnt the patient she ever expected to see chopped up like this. She nods to two of the male nurses and they get Savot turned over on his stomach and strapped into a biobed. Before anything else a barrier patch is slapped onto the shoulder, a coagulant activator from one of the biobed arms inhibits the bleeding and slowing it to a mere trickle. She takes a smaller scalpel laser and cuts the starfleet uniform from the rest of his body, strategic sheets thrown in place as well as biobed sensors. The nurses clean up the rest of the blood as best they can so Deis can see what the hell is going on inside him. Now is the time for her to recall everything she knows about vulcan anatomy. Which is considerable. One takes a special interest in certain subjects for their crew*
*Before she reopens the wound one of the nurses comes to her and says* Bad news Doc...Captain...*it dosent really matter right now* We dont have a large supply of vulcan blood here. Enough to stabalize him maybe. *she almost cringes from the look on Deis face behind the bacterial shielding. Just at that moment the comms ring*
=/\=Captain Irae, *Says one of the junior Nav officers*. "I know your busy sir, but are you wanting to go back to star base for repairs?"=/\=
*Deis looks towards the ceiling for some unknown reason and says back through the comms* =/\=Nae. Plot a course fer Vulcan. Maximum Warp allowed. Once plotted, engage, Irae out. =/\= *the tone in which she speaks leave no room for argument or questions. She decides to go ahead and comm parsons at the same time as, for the moment, hes going to have to be Bridge Officer for a while longer* =/\=Irae t Parsons. Keep th bridge fer now. I be workin on stabalizin Commander Savot. Orders, get us t Vulcan, upon arrival hail th consulate an report th severe injurin o Savot. We'll be needin compatable blood. Were too far from th starbase to make a time difference. Inform Command. Go man. =/\=
*She signs off curtly and for now and turns her attention to Savot. She stands there for a minute with a hypospray in one hand and a exoscalpel in her other. The nurses have turned Savots head to the side and cleaned up the blood, a black piece of machinery with readout dials is clamped to the back of his head, a hyperencephalogram. She dosent like what she sees there and gets to work. A nurse slides the little blood we do have into the iv port that punches itsself into the mans neck, to replenish some of the blood hes missing. Once thats done she splits the patch with the scaplel and then hits the unwounded shoulder with 50ccs of Rexalin, to numb the area mixed with 100 of Inaprovaline, universal stabalizing agent, stimulates the heart...shes thankful the heart isnt in its usual place on a vulcan...else that chop might have been fatal...if it wasnt already*
*She hands off the empty hypo without even looking, her nurses remember how she works a table. She takes a presser in hand and then bears down as she slits. Even then nurses on the other side of the biobed have him trached and on ventelator, the mask sort of tied in place. Once the ventelator works though Deis hisses, and begins working on his lung first. Autosutures and presser, tissue regenerators and more autosutures. Shes standing up on a platform beside the table, leaned over the body with her knee balancing her on the tables edge...shes short and its the best way to get into the matter as it were. Its a painstaking process. Some of the damage is too critical so she goes even smaller working with cellular sutures. This takes some hours and Deis cloaked uniform is dotted over with spots of green and her face is marked by the frown of concentration. The supply of blood has run out and shes only just begun on the outer bone tissue* Damn me. 'Es stable at least.
Lets close 'im up. Tis th best tha can be done til we get a fresh blood supply. *She runs a large boxshaped thing over his back as the nurses work to close the wound up. a Pulmonary scanner that will remain in place until this is finished. She releases it and the small suspensors let it hover in place. It isnt long before the biobed is sealed, every function of Savots body monitored. The last injection given through the biobed itsself....rejection serums. Just in case the blood we gave him for some unknown vulcan reason, decides not to take. It would have happened before now if it was going to. Deis sets up monitoring stations, sending one to her Readyroom, one to her personal quarters just in case. But as she strips out of the green blooded clothes she stays there in sickbay, looking through the glass of the biobed to the prone form inside it. She dosent want to leave him there*
*She had turned off vocal comms while she performed her surgical feats but now she checks them. A shuttle had come in before we left...a counselor. Good. Out of everyone that went mad this week, Deis didnt, but shes sure she could use a counselor right about now. She puts her hand down on the biobeds glass and gives in to momentary emotion* Ye'll nae die Savot...nae if i can help it. *Then she pushes off the biobed and leaves out of the sickbay at a fast walk...now she has to go be Captain*

"Aye, Captain," Parsons responded and the junior nav officer plotted a course for Vulcan and engaged. The CTSO enjoyed having command of the bridge, but this was far from his mind as he tried to busy himself with ship's repairs, occasionally saying a prayer for Savot and the Captain's medical team.
After checking in on repairs and ships systems, Parsons turned to Ensign Nokomis, who was now monitoring the Tactical Station.
"Ensign," Parsons said approaching her station, "it is well overdue, but I am pleased to inform you that your promotion to Lt. Junior Grade has come through. The promotions list came out as we were getting underway for our last mission, but with all that was going on I didn't have a chance to tell you."
The CTSO then stepped closer and pinned an new shiny pip on Nokomis' collar. "On behalf of Starfleet Command and Captain Irae, I am pleased to promote you to the rank of Lt. Junior Grade. Congratulations and keep up the good work Lieutenant."
Parsons stepped back toward the command chair before turning back toward the Ensign, "I have arranged for a small reception in the officer's lounge once Commander Savot condition has stabilized."
Adam then returned to the command chair and checked on the eta to Vulcan. Impatient to help Savot, he ordered the nav officer to increase speed to Warp 9 and ordered engineering to make the necessary adjustments for sustained high warp travel.

OFF: Sorry I've been gone, I'll backpost myself into the story a bit.
ON:
Kevin didn't hear about Savot's dire situation until he walked onto the Bridge almost an hour after Irae had ordered a course set for Vulcan. (He'd tried to catch Jamey on his way out, but the navigator had left too qucikly.) Commander Parsons explained the predicament to the science officer, who did an about flank off the Bridge. Not only was he (again) intimidated by the command chair, but Savot (who Kevin believed to be one of the smartest people he knew) was lying in Sickbay, possibly dying.
The turbolift opened on the deck 7 and Irae stood, ready to get on. She looked slightly tired and shaken, and her hands were red from vigerous washing, but otherwise she seemed okay.
"Is Commander Savot all right?" asked Kevin.
"No," said Irae, sighing. "We're headed to Vulcan as fast as we can, but... its only a matter of time until he runs out of blood. He's very low right now."
"I could replicate some for you," offered Kevin.
Irae smiled slightly. "I wish you could, Zimmerman, but replicators just don't get the job done. It takes a very, very long time for replicators to create blood, because its so complex. And Savot needs a specific type - its that way with almost everyone. Blood can't just be handed around randomly."
Kevin nodded glumly. "I don't suppose he's awake."
"No," confirmed Irae. "We'll be at Vulcan shortly, so please be back on the Bridge by then."
"Yes, Captain," said Kevin as she entered the turbolift. Kevin realised then that even though Irae probably didn't want to go to the Bridge, she was. He knew the Captain and Savot were close friends, and leaving one of the few people - maybe the only person - she knew very well in Sickbay couldn't have been easy. Kevin decided that, if he ever was offered - or ordered - to the command chair he wouldn't refuse again.
Entering Sickbay Kevin could see why Irae looked so unhappy - there was green blood the nurses were still cleaning up. As he approached the biobed, Kevin thought Savot's face, typically unemotional, looked almost as if he were in pain. It might have just been the lighting, or Kevin's overly active imagination, but Savot looked different, almost as if he unconciously was aware his situation wasn't very good, that he was very near death...
Bowing his head, Kevin left and hurried to the Bridge to man his station, hoping that his superior officer and friend would survive.

*The first thing Deis does when she walks back onto the bridge was realize that theres a spot of greenish blood on her jacket top. She waves for parsons to remain in command and goes into her readyroom, the door hissing closed behind her. She unzips the blooded jacket and pulls it off. She wears a command red tanktop beneath it and quickly changes into a fresh jacket that she keeps in the readyroom for just such an emergency. Before leaving out she looks at the comms and pulls up the dossier on our new Counselor. Its hard to read over this, her mind in so many other places but she frowns and forces herself to focus on it. She nods once she has the pertinant information and then just sits there a moment, centering herself. She needs to talk to the Federation Embassy and have Savots family notified. The blood can only come from one of his family she suspects. a particular phenotype. Particular DNA requirements. Vulcans are difficult....but this ones worth every trouble.*
*She buries herself in repair reports for about 20 to 30 minutes, assigning priority areas to the engineers and repairmen. She also notices the Promotion for Nokomis. And Parsons report that hes dealt with it. She smiles to herself in gratitude to the man. Her command is so...informal at times she forgets that the raising of rank is important to the crew. Its the ladder to command as well as the positions they want from then on. She knows from experience though that even a lowly Lt Commander Doctor can be catapulted into that Chair by the needs of the ship. When the time came...she was the only one. It felt strangely good to work on Savot...her origional calling. Good thing she likes to keep a "hand in"*
*Shes putting down another padd when the chime on her door goes off. She stands up from her desk and smooths back her hair from the mess the medclothes made of it.* Enter
*When the door slides open she sees Lt. Nokomis. She nods and steps forth and says* Wha is it Lt?
*Nokomis says in her interesting accenting* Captain were within 20 minutes of reaching Vulcan. Shall we hail the Embassy?
*Deis nods and says* im commin, ill hail em. Thank you Lt. *the girl turns to leave and Deis stops her* Lt. Congratulations on yer promotion.
*then she follows the girl out of her readyroom, zipping her clean jacket into place as she reaches her chair. She looks at Parsons and sees that everything is in order, or in as much order as it can be with the damage that was taken from that last mess of a mission. This causes her to think of Jamey...she hopes he does well on the Nevada. It was so sudden, she hadnt even finished the last end paperwork. Shes pleased to see that Zimmerman returned to his post quickly...she knew where he went and cannot blame him for wanting to look upon his Commander. She wishes she could be in there herself*
*Ensign Gabbrile turns and looks round at her* Were within hailing range Captain. Thank ye Ensign, open th hail.
*The ensign does as asked and the screen goes up with Deis image projected as well as her voice. She looks down at the vitals monitor on her seat, placed there so she could check on Savot, then she clears her throat* Federation Embassy. This be Federation starship USS. El Salvador. We come in a matter o emergency. We 'ave immediate need t contact th family o Commander Savot, o this vessel.

Planet Vulcan: Federation Embassy in the city of ShirKahr
The duty officer at the comm-station in the Federation Embassy on planet vulcan was relaying the routine communications traffic as his board sang with the beep of an incoming comm signal from outside the system. Checking the ID of the sender the young Tellarite officer, a product of the cultural exchange program between a joint Starfleet-Vulcan movement and the Tellarite space force, spun his furred body in his chair to gruffly summon the shift-Commander.
Walking over to the station with his hands clasped behind him in his uniform, the shift commander nodded for the Tellarite to open the frequency. =^= El Salvador, this is Lt. Commander Hodges at the Federation Embassy. We read you, what is the nature of your emergency?=^= The contours of the middle-aged man's face frowning as he listened to Captain Irae's report, he nodded firmly as she finished her statements. =^= Understood, Captain. We will notify the Commander's family in the Tat'Sahr province immediately. The city of Ta'Vistar fortunately contains the region's only shuttle port, so we've lucked out there. As soon as you reach the system, you're cleared for standard orbit. We'll track down the Commander's family and have them contact you upon your arrival to make the necessary arrangements. Godspeed, Captain, Embassy out. =^=
Walking closer to the comm-officer's chair to rest his right hand upon it and lean on the console with his left, Hodges gave a nod to the Tellarite, "Bring up the population database and run the Commander's name through the filter, locate the family and try them all starting with the parents until you get someone on the line. Explain the situation and give them clearance to implement standard Federation comm-frequency to contact the El Salvador when she makes orbit. I've seen that look on Captains before, time's a factor and we're already behind the 8-ball. Get it done."
OFF: Will throw in an additional post from the family's point of view likely sometime tomorrow. Sorry for taking so long to put something down, took me a bit to figure out how to go about contributing while hospitalized lol.

Parsons hops up from the command chair when the Captain enters the bridge from her ready room and announces, "Captain on the bridge." "How is he, Ma'am," Adam asks Irae.
"Stable...fer now, but he needs a blood transfusion as soon as possible," she responds.
The CTSO then makes his way back the tactical station looks over the ship's systems.

Cisco was starting to settle into his quarters. Everything was still very strange to him, and it would take him days to learn the schematics of the ship and to meet everyone.
It suddenly occured to him that he had yet to introduce himself to the Captain or 1st Officer, which was customary but Parker was aware of an incident that had happened with the 1st Officer preceding his coming aboard and such was not met by anyone.
Cisco had read up on personnel who were flagged to him and funnily enough the entire senior crew were on that list, he began to wonder what he was letting himself in for, but knew that exciting times were ahead.
Parker decided after taking another look at the ships plans he would go and explore, and everntually find his way to the bridge and introduce himself, although he was hoping to get an invitation, rather than just announcing and invading the bridge with his presence.

"Captain, our new ship's counselor is safely aboard," reported Parsons. "If you don't mind, Ma'am, I will go welcome him and brief him on the current situation."
"Of course, Mr. Parsons, see to it," responded the Captain.
"Lieutenant, you have the tactical station," the CTSO said walking onto the turbolift. The truth was, Parsons needed a little time to himself to process recent events. The young officer typically paced while thinking and the walk to the new head shrinker's quarters would be an acceptable substitute.
Arriving at Mr. Parker's quarters, Adam pressed the pad outside the door to signal his presence. After a few seconds, Cisco appeared in the doorway and Parsons introduced himself.
"Mr. Parker, or is it Dr. Parker? Welcome aboard. I am Lt. Commander Adam Parsons, Chief Tactical and Security Officer on board the El Sal."
After exchanging pleasantries Parker invited the officer in and Parsons began to explain the mission they were now returning from. "...so after Commander Savot, our XO, and I made it to engineering and regained control of the ship, he was struck with a Klingon battle axe. Captain Irae is a skilled surgeon and former CMO, so she performed the emergency surgery. As you are no doubt aware, we are now at Vulcan to obtain suitable blood for a transfusion. Our crew is slightly depleted as we did take a few casualties on the last mission and have not had time to take on new personnel, with the exception of yourself. As far as the ship itself, she's a bit battered, but holding up. We will need to put into spacedock for repairs at some point however."
"Also Counselor, I am not used to having civilians on board. The El Sal is a warship and generally does not carry civilian personnel, however, the presence of a counselor is most welcome, especially after our last mission. Do you have any questions for me Mr. Parker?"

Cisco was about to leave for his jaunt around this ship, when the computer announced someone was at his door. He had somehow managed to lock his door without realising it and it took him a few seconds to get the door to open, to his amazement a security officer was standing outside his door.
"Mr. Parker, or is it Dr. Parker? Welcome aboard. I am Lt. Commander Adam Parsons, Chief Tactical and Security Officer on board the El Sal."
"Please come and you'll have to excuse the mess I'm still unpacking."
"Thankyou." Adam said looking around to him it looked very tidy apart from a few cases neatly stacked in the corner and several padds strewn across Cisco desk.
"Would you like any kind of refreshment Mr Parsons?" cisco asked walking over to the replicator.
"No thankyou Mr Parker"
"Ok. Green tea with Early Grey - Hot" Cisco requested from the computer, picked up his tea and then taking a seat opposite Adam.
"And you can address me anyway you want usually its Cisco but I know their is protocol about such things aboard a starship, so whatever you feel comfortable with. Please continue..."
"Also Counselor, I am not used to having civilians on board. The El Sal is a warship and generally does not carry civilian personnel, however, the presence of a counselor is most welcome, especially after our last mission"
Cisco mainly nodded acknowledging what Parsons was saying, also making the occasional note to up-date his records and start to get a personal profile on the ships Chief of Security.
"Do you have any questions for me Mr. Parker?" Adam asked finalising his report.
"Yes. I do. How are you?" Cisco asked in a very different tone, slightly taking Parsons off guard.
