Wolf: Was a little shocked when a Vulcan walked into the transporter room and joined them on the pad even more shocked when he finally notice the commander color and rank on the collar.
This was the xo of the ship where does he think he's going. Then he heard the communication with sandage. Wolf was alittle happy that Sandage would have to crash this party with. Looking at his team realizing this changed a few things with just a look at his team they knew that one of them was to be with the commander at all times. Feeling the transporter grab him and his team wolf prayed to his gods for safe journey. when they appeared on the asteroid everything was in chaos.
Turning to Commander Savot " Its your party which door do you want us to bang on" < Tag Savot>

Reconsituting within the asteroid base, Savot was greeted by dark, coldly practical walls hollowed out of the asteroid itself and supplemented with man-made passageways and corridor frames of dull-gray durasteel. His eyes immediately flowing downward to his tricorder he performed a scan of the innards of the facility to discern the location of the central control room. As the scan progressed, Lt. Wolf spoke up, "Its your party which door do you want us to bang on?"
Raising an eyebrow at the terminology, Savot tapped at his tricorder and keyed it to transmit the blueprints of the base into the Marine's helmet apparatus, "The 'party' remains yours Lieutenant. I am merely present to deactive the destruct sequence in case of protective encryption or other form of deterrent. Tactical discretion remains yours as to how to proceed to the control center, which is signified by the pulsing red counter on your helmet's HUD display. I hypothesize that resistance will be low-to-nonexistant as any remaining pirates will likely be moving to evacuate the base before the destruct sequence completes. Proceed as you choose Mr. Wolf, though I do suggest the maximum alacrity possible in order to reach the computer in time."
(Tag Wolf: You can get as creative or straightforward as you want with your posts here, I'm really only tagging along to help with the computers, as it seemed wise to leave the Chief Engineer aboard ship to handle repairs while we're in mid-combat)

Wolf: waited for the Commander reply while scanning the area then he heard what commander Savot had to say "The 'party' remains yours Lieutenant.
Wolf: Understood turning to his team " Okay we are doulbe timeing Ranger file Commander Savot is to remain in the middle until we can get him to his hot date with the computer. He is to have full protection he's not wear combat gear so were his body guards until we get there." Looking had his hud and getting bearing on which direction they needed to head in wolf flashed back another command office had been shot on his watch shaking the feeling off " lets move people " Approching the main hallway and doing a quick scan finding that Commander Savot assement was right the pirates were busy trying to get off the base and weren't paying any attention to them. The team dropped into a run everybody was keeping up and staying close they had moved deeper into the astroid until they reached the core. When they arrived at the computer core wolf saw pirates standing at the control panel trying to do the same thing they came to do. halting the team up it was time to move, time was running out taking a risk wolf walked in the pirates turned and brought there weapons to bear.
" Listen I dont have time for this neither do you, I can stop this from happening and then we can talk about what happens after okay. I have somebody who can stop this and if you help him we might all live throught the only reason I didn't shoot you is so you can tell him what you already have tried." Pirates thought about for a moment and lowered there weapons calling for his team they came into the control room the pirate dropped the weapons when they saw the rest of the team
Turning to Commander Savot " Self preservation is one of the few constants in the universe they will give you what ever help you require Commander. Its your show I hate not to be around for a curtain call if you know what I mean Commander" <Tag Savot>
Turning to his team "okay you 3 stay hear watch over the commander secure the prisoners and there weapons the remaining 2 will go with me to find our people turning to Commander savot
" If that okay with you sir I wont be much help to you hear and the pirates are secured and dont want to die right now so I dont think you will have a problem with them if you do the 3 that stay behind can handle them" <Tag Savot>

"The five remaining enemy ships are escourting the pirates fleeing the base, Captain," said Kevin. "I believe they are no longer concerned with destroying us. We have sustained significant damage to our shields, but they hold at approximately 67%."
"Permission to attack enemy ships, Captain?" asked Parsons.
Irae nodded. "Take 'em out. Lt. Hope, contact the nearest non-com ship - preferrably a tug, one that can tractor multiple ships - and ask them to come here and help drag these pirates back to Starbase Assailant for interrogation."
The El Salvador proceeded to attack the many shuttles and ships launching from the bast, incapacitating (and occasionally destroying) the majority of the ships. One or two warp-capable shuttles escaped, but for the most part the pirate operation was at an end.
"I think I've figure out where at least one of the ships is going," said Kevin. "There's a moon about 25 minutes away from here at warp eight, which previously held Maquis terrorist cells and was never demolished. Low-profile, perfect place for a back-up pirate base. In fact, all three of those pirate ships may have gone there. Long-rang sensors indicate all three may have changed course toward that moon."
"Good. Lt. Hope, where's my tug?" asked Irae.
(Hope)
Irae nodded. "As soon as it gets here we'll take off for that moon." She tapped her commbadge. "Irae to Savot. What's your status, Commander?"

"If that okay with you sir I wont be much help to you hear and the pirates are secured and dont want to die right now so I dont think you will have a problem with them if you do the 3 that stay behind can handle them", said Wolf.
Savot nodded, already turning towards the computer console as he replied to the Marine, "A logical assumption Lieutenant, I concur. Proceed with recovering the hostages, and should the opportunity present itself, try to determine if any transport or shuttle vessels remain berthed within the base that are capable of carrying our numbers. If I am successful, we should not have to make a hasty departure, but if there are any unforeseen difficulties forcing us to evacuate the El Salvador may be too pre-occupied to retrieve us herself."
He let the pirates who had been working to deactive the destruct sequence relay to him what they'd already attempted as he worked, his fingers tapping away with a quick efficiency born of years of computer experience. As he proceeded through base layers of security defenses, he acknowledged the skill of whoever did the pirates' technical work, though he agreed with Kevin's earlier assessment that their skill was not equal to his own or Savot's. Before another precious minute had ticked away from the countdown timer, the vulcan's efforts had born fruit and the deactivation alarms were silenced throughout the asteroid as the immediate crisis was averted.
Considering the pirates might get bold now that they no longer needed assistance to avoid imminent obliteration, Savot turned to suggest closer attention to the security personnel guarding them. However, upon turning he saw to his satisfaction that the team had already been paying total attention to the situation with no lapse of focus. Content with that situation being in hand, Savot turned back to the computers to see if they could gain any advantage from them. Locating the force field controls for the holding area of the Veridian survivors, he set the fields to automatically lower when triggered by the proximity of the Starfleet signal of Lt. Wolf's assault armor, to save the Marine the time of having to find the localized controls and take them down himself.
As he began to delve through other systems, his combadge bleeped, =^= Irae to Savot. What's your status, Commander?=^=
Still tapping away at the console with his left hand, the right quickly reached up to tap his badge before rejoining its counterpart at the console controls, =^= Savot here, Captain. The self-destruct sequence has been disengaged. Lieutenant Wolf is proceeding to secure the Veridian survivors from the holding area at which time we will be prepared for extraction. We are attempting to locate a transport to conduct evacuation in the event that combat preoccupies the El Salvador, though none have been located as yet.=^=
Irae replied, her voice conveying the sensation of her waving her hand to dismiss the vulcan's final words, =^= Never ye mind that Commander, we've got the situation in hand up here. We'll beam ye up now and get Wolf an' the hostages once he's found them.=^=
Savot slipped his tricorder back into its pouch and drew his hand phaser, just to be on the safe side, =^= With respect Captain, I would prefer to remain to rendevous with Mr. Wolf and be evacuated at that time.=^=
Irae, nodding to herself in understanding of Savot's reluctance to leave their people 'alone' in an uncertain environment, signalled once more over the comms, =^= Understood an' approved, Mr. Savot. Don't be takin' yer time gettin' down t' Wolf, I want ye all out of there as soon as possible. Irae out. =^=
Tapping his own badge to close the channel on his end as well, Savot nodded to the boarding team members to bring the pirate prisoners along for apprehension back aboard ship, and led the way to meet up with Wolf at the holding cells.
(Wolf, I'm assuming it takes me long enough to get to you that you'll have plenty of time to get to the hostages, so post as far along that timeframe as you want. If you want, feel free to post us meeting up and getting beamed back as well.)

Wolf: Was racing down the hallway to the holding area when everything went quite. There were no more alrams going off it appeared Commander Savot had saved the day. Thats when all hell broke some of the pirates stopped from trying to get a way to attacking his team. Wolf Saw one of his team member get jumped from behind just as the pirate was going to sink his blade into his back wolf dived at the pirate and hit hm full force Sending him and the pirate flying backwards. All of a suddend wolf felt something stick and warm the pirate had stapped him in his side. Reaching for his hand phaser wolf shot the pirate and stood up. The blade was still stuck in his side realizing he didn't have much time got and covered the knife up still stuck in his side. He didn't want his team to see it. He was amazed the blade got throught his armor and wanted Commander Savot to study it to find out how it did that. Wolf: Starting to run again to reach the holding area he felt more blood good thing my uniform is black. Reach the holdind area it appeared the guards here had left when they heard the alram. Walling over to the force field trying to figure out how to shut it down when he got close it shut off. Thank you Commander Savot, Walking he felt weak and tired it was getting harder to breath. " Okay people its time to leave I'm Lt wolf and we have to go now okay" Looking around some more he saw a women who looked alittle worse for the wear he noticed that she was studying him ignoring her for the moment and trying not to move " Listen does anybody know where the hanger bay is" All at once people spoke up okay one at a time.
" Okay this is what where going to do my team is going to get you to the hanger bay if there's anything that can fly get into and get out make sure your broadcasting Federation signals so we know who not to shoot at. If not then stand by and wait for transport I'm going back to the control room " As he was getting ready to leave the women who had been watching followed him stopping for secound and facing her " Mam you realy should go to the hanger bay" She didn't say a word she kept staring at his side trying to make sure she didn't see anything " I think I will go with you Mr. wolf"
" have it your way lets move" As they headed off together back to Commander Savot it was getting harder and harder to keep moving when they arrived back in the conrol room everthing was secure smiling at his team and reporting to Commander Savot " Sir the prisoner are free and heading to the luach bay this one hear wanted to follow me back here" trying to stop himself from falling didn't work the world around him went black and collasped. <Tag Savot and Minn>

The El Salvador chased down several of the remaining ships and shuttles, disabling, and in some cases destroying them. The CTSO fired phasers and torpedoes engaging one target after another. Commander Zimmerman reported that a few of the ships escaped to a nearby base formerly used by the Marquis.
The Captain ordered a temporary halt to the pursuit and the helmsman turned the starship back toward the asteroid. Transmitions were picked up from Commander Savot and Lt. Wolf periodically.
Parsons ran systems checks on weapons systems and exchanged information with Judd on battle damage and the status of the ship's defenses. Shields were holding at 67%, but had dipped lower during the most intense combat. There was also minor scorching to the ship's hull plating.
"Captain, long range sensors are now showing a Federation tug traveling to our location at high warp," reported Parsons.
"Very good Mr. Parsons," responded Irae.

Commander Savot's group had met up with Wolf and a female former-hostage mid-way between the control room and the holding area. Savot listened to the Marine's report and raised an eyebrow in concern as he collapsed to the floor. As he moved to act, the former-hostage beat him to it kneeling to treat the fallen Wolf. As she began her work Savot got a message from the El Salvador, =^= Irae t' Savot, we've got yer signals locked in prepare for extraction. =^=
Savot looked down towards Lieutenant Wolf and the apparent doctor, who shook her head firmly at him before turning back to her efforts. Savot tapped his combadge, =^= Impossible at present, Captain. We have a casualty that must be stabilized before transport. I recommend you pass over the hangar area in the interum. The majority of the rescued hostages are on their way there to search for transport, but the El Salvador's transporters should be able to retrieve them all in short order. After which you can proceed with our extraction. =^=
Savot received acknowledgement from the ship, and stood observing while the doctor worked on the Marine. She turned to Cmdr. Savot. "Sir, I'm Doctor Ton'ta Minn of the USS Veridian." She bent her head and continued to work on the officer before her.
After a few moments the woman turned her face upwards towards the Vulcan. "This man can be moved now Sir." She said nodding to Lt. Wolf.
Savot nodded firmly as he tapped his badge once more, =^= Savot to Bridge, we are ready for immediate transport. =^= The group was scooped up by the tingle of the El Sal's transporters, and were reconstituted directly in sickbay, having known there were wounded among the group. Savot nodded to the doctor, "Pardon me, Doctor Minn, but I must return to the bridge. If you require anything inquire of the medical staff, they are well trained." With that Savot exitted the sickbay and entered a turbolift for the main bridge.
***************************************
Stepping out onto the bridge following the whoosh of the turbolift doors, Savot moved to stand beside Captain Irae's center seat. Irae nodded greeting to her returned First Officer, "Glad t' 'ave ye back aboard Mr. Savot. Yerself and Mr. Wolf are both t' be commended on yer success. All the survivors have been recovered and a Starfleet tug is just now entering the system to wrap things up here. Helm, plot a course t' Mr. Zimmerman's old Maquis base and engage at maximum warp."
The navigator nodded her acknowledgement and moved her fingers across the console, bringing the mighty vessel around and propelling it forward through the stars to locate and finish this pirate threat once and for all...

Wolf: Started to wake up he was unsure of what had happened and alittle confussed looking around he relaized he was in sickbay and the women who had followed him was standing over him taking some readings " I should have known you were a doctor, it all make sense now espesicaly they way you kept looking at my side thank you for saving my life" <Tag Minn>
Trying to sit up she pushed him back down not want him to injure him self or open the wound she had just fixed " Any idea on how long you plan on keeping me here?" <Tag Minn>
Wainting for a response he got worried Commander Savot had seen him fall what was going to be his impression he had failed in his mind he wasn't suppose to get hurt but he didn't want a member of his team to get killed either so the choice was easy. Looking around and hoping to get released so he could return to duty he waited.

Ton'ta breathed a sigh of relief when they transported to sickbay. At least here she was in familiar territory. Immediately the medical staff helped get the injured settled. The Commander turned to her and spoke before leaving sickbay.
"Pardon me, Doctor Minn, but I must return to the bridge. If you require anything inquire of the medical staff, they are well trained."
She could see that the way they moved among the injured, helping them to the nearby biobeds. Ton’ta moved to care for the fallen Marine who by this time was coming around.
" I should have known you were a doctor, it all make sense now especially the way you kept looking at my side thank you for saving my life" He continued “Any idea on how long you plan on keeping me here?"
He tried to sit up but she gently pushed him back. “Not yet Lieutenant, you have to stay here a while yet.
She almost could sense what he was thinking. “Don’t worry, you won’t miss much, I promise.” She checked his wound and nodded. “Just rest for now, relax and let your body heal. You should be able to be released in a few hours.”
<Tag Lieutenant Wolf>
Ton’ta turned away from his biobed after patting his shoulder. “Just relax.” She said as she moved away limping slightly to check on the other injured. Her leg would have to wait, the others came first.

With all her crew, and several new passengers aboard, the El Sal sped toward an abandoned Marquis moon at maximum warp. As the ship traveled, Parsons readied the weapons systems for another, all be it smaller, engagement.
Within minutes, the El Salvador reached the moon and the Captain gave the order to drop out of warp. "Helm, put us 'n orbit above the old Marquis base."
"Aye, Captain," replied the Helm officer, as the ship took up orbit.
"Captain, sensors show at least one small ship on the surface near the base. It appears to have crash landed. No sign of the other two vessels yet," the CTSO informed Irae.

OFF: If only I'd posted this four minutes earlier... oh, well. I'll adapt to your post, Adam.
ON:
"Confirmed," said Kevin. "Few lifesigns, emergency power only inside both the base and ship. I doubt they have any ability to establish communications."
"Is there any way they could get off that base?" asked Irae.
"Not a chance," said Kevin, confidently. "I'm scanning for cloaked ships now... nothing."
"How can the absence of the other ships be explained?" asked Savot.
Kevin shrugged. "Perhaps they are smarter than we give them credit. After all, an organisation the size of their's required great administrative foresight. At least a small number of pirates must have realised it was possible that they might be brought down."
"So they may not have all ended up here," said Savot. "How long until we can be sure they will not arrive?"
"I am not sure of their engine capability, but I find it unlikely they would have made it here by now unless they were travelling at speeds above warp 6.5, possibly warp 7. We could have easilly beaten them here," said Kevin.

OFF: Sorry about that, Kev. Hate it when that happens.
ON:
Parsons and Zimmerman continued their scans.
"Captain, I am detecting debris between the asteroid field and our current position. The debris is consistent with the two small missing ships. I would have to examine the material to be certain, but from the debris pattern, it appears they were detonated remotely," Parsons hypothesized.
"Wreckage confirmed," noted Kevin, "that would seem to be consistent with our prior encounters with these pirates."
<TAG Kevin>
A moment passed before Parsons scans returned to the planet.
"Captain, the ship on the surface does not appear to have power... wait....an emergency hatch was just blown. I am detecting eight lifesigns...correction six. They are moving toward the base."
Kevin spoke up, "Captain the atmosphere, what there is of it is not breathable. I would guess they were two suits short."

"Take 'em out. Lt. Hope, contact the nearest non-com ship - preferably a tug, one that can tractor multiple ships - and ask them to come here and help drag these pirates back to Starbase Assailant for interrogation."
"Understood Captain," Ethan said as he contacted the Starbase. They were a bit surprised to hear from them, but once he explained there situation they immediately dispatched the tug that the Captain had requested.
"Good. Lt. Hope, where's my tug?" asked Irae.
"Assailant has just confirmed that they are sending a tug to our present location," Ethan reported," they will be here in shortly."
After destroying most of the pirates ships, Ethan took the time to scan the asteroid base. His sensors told him that the self-destruct sequence was still ticking, but Ethan was sure that Commander Savot would get to it before anything bad happened. As if fate had heard him, Commander Savot reported that the base was now under there control and that they could start transporting the injured to the El Salvador.
After receiving all of the injured the El Sal made its way towards the Maquis ship, where Commander Zimmerman thought the pirates had made there escape. The ship quickly made it to the planet, where Ethan immediately began scanning the planet for the ships they were searching for. His scans quickly found the pirates, but there of course was a problem.
All he could do now was wait for orders and hope that they could bring the pirates to justice.
(OFF: Just a slight info correction Ethan, the Veridian itself was destroyed by the pirates during her capture, it was their asteroid base that was set to self-destruct. No problem, just letting you know for your own knowledge. Pardon the usurpation, but I took the liberty to go ahead and change it in your post to avoid confusing people.)

*****************************************
Captain Irae sighed heavily and rubbed her temple and her eyes as she glanced at the sensor readout on the viewscreen depicting the 6 moving forms heading from the crashed ship to the abandoned Maquis base, "Good God, why they be drawin' it out so damn long? They've nowhere else ta go, and no way to get thair if they did!"
She shook her head in weary frustration, took a deep breath and exhaled. Then, straightening her posture she went on with business, "Alrigh' then, Mr. Parsons get a team ready t' load up in the Mini-Sal and go down thair t' pick up the bastar..." Before she could get out the order, Kevin spoke up from the science station.
"Excuse the interruption Captain, but I think something's going on down there", Zimmerman focussed on a tighter image of the group of 6 pirates and magnified it on the main viewer. The shapes were pools of swirling red, yellow, and greens as they registered only as minor sources of infrared. Little specific detail could be discerned, but as the bridge crew watched 5 of the figures began moving rapidly, converging on the 6th. A blur of jumbled motion was observed until finally 5 stepped back away from the 6th, which remained unmoving. "I... think the last of the leader's lackeys decided they didn't want to end up dying to save his hide like the rest of their group did. It's hard to believe after all the fuss they put us through, but they look like they're giving up and turning him in."
Deis' eyes narrowed as she too looked in awe at the viewscreen, as equally amazed as her science chief at the sudden development. Blinking the confusion away and shaking her head to refocus, she turned and nodded to Parsons, "Commander get a security detail down to transporter room 4 and get those criminals up here. We'll be activatin' the force fields around the pads but I wan' yer people there just in case."
As Parsons turned to leave the intercom chimed, =^= Wolf to bridge I have been released from sick and fit fot duty wainting fot futher instructions. =^=
Irae nodded to Parsons for him to continue down to the transporter and tapped the intercom button on her chair arm, =^= Irae t' Wolf. Lieutenant we'll be bringin' in the last of the Blades in just a moment. Meet up wi' Commander Parsons in transporter room 4 in case he needs help gettin' em put away. Glad to hear yer alrigh' Mr. Wolf. Ye did good work boardin' their base. Bridge out. =^=
OFF: Well, this has been, to my perceptions at least, a very smooth, cohesive mission. That's all for main plot, anyone wishing to make a final post or two about wrapping up final details feel free to do so. I intend to open the new mission thread tomorrow evening, the temporary Acting-FO will be announced at that time. Great work on this mission everybody, it was leagues ahead of work we've seen in previous months. Congratulations to all crew, new and old alike.

[Sickbay]
Ton’ta finally finished getting all the injured settled or out of sickbay and groaned as she sat down. The pain in her leg had been almost unbearable for the last few hours but she’d managed to not show how much pain she was in for the most part. The medical staff was on the ball and the minute she sat down they were there insisting on caring for her own injuries.
She tried to argue her way out of it but soon found herself laying in one of the alcoves while one of the medics performed a scan of her leg. She had spent so much time in the last days being tied down that having to be stuck in bed only made those feelings of helplessness return.
Luckily the report on her leg was not as bad as it could have been; it was a bad bruise and some torn muscles but nothing which would keep her off her feet for a long length of time. She used the time to write up the report for the Captain and get some much needed rest. Once the report was finished she settled back against the pillow and closed her eyes.

Wolf: " Understood Captain I''m on my way" Walking to transporter room 4 he realized that he was going to be sore for awhile. Stoping off at the security office along the way he went and grabbed some personal gear namely his tomhawk and strapped it to his back. He planned to use it just for looks but you never knew at the same time he picked up a hand phaser and left. Arrinving in transporter room about the same time as commander Parsons " You know sir we might need to add onto our brig its going to be awfuly full down there" <Tag Parsons>
wainting for the prisoners to beam up he started to think about the shuttle he lost on his arrival to the El Salvador. I'm going to have to talk to the captain about that I hope I dont have to pay for it.

Kevin had intended to use the holodeck, but was surprised to find the Captain there. All the others were in use. Kevin turned to leave, but the doors opened and the Captain walked out.
"Zimmerman," she said, nodding. "You all right?"
Kevin nodded. "I've been wondering about some of those shuttles, though." Irae gave him a confused look, so he elaborated. "I don't know if anyone else noticed, but a couple of the shuttles escaped during the battle. There couldn't have been more than a dozen pirates who escaped, but still..."
"Ye can't ever get 'em all, Kev," said Irae, starting to walk down the hall. "We're not perfect."
Kevin nodded. "But they could start another operation and-"
"After being so close to getting caught?" Irae grinned. "Nah, I think any who escaped will be very quiet. And the ones we caught will probably give 'em away. Starfleet Intelligence will worry about trackin' down every last one. Don't worry about it."
She walked into a turbolift and the doors shut behind her. Kevin was left alone in the hall. He went back to the holodeck and started his own programm. An incredibly old version of the Swiss Alps rose around him. Kevin stood at the top of a wonderfully steep slope, the fresh powder almost knee deep. He pushed off with his poles, knowing all of his troubles would be left far, far behind...
****************************************************
Two hours later, Kevin stumbled into Sickbay, his ankle possibly broken. One of the mountains had hidden a nasty little surprise for him. But then, skiing wouldn't be fun if there wasn't at least some danger involved.
"Can I help you?" asked one nurse.
"Yeah, I sort of messed up my ankle while in the holodeck..." Kevin trailed off.
The nurse grumbled something Kevin knew couldn't have been very friendly and grabbed a tricorder. Motioning to one of the biobeds, she scanned Kevin's ankle. "Nothing wrong there, simply sprained. Keep off your feet for a while and you'll be fine." The nurse was turning away, but stopped suddenly. She pointed the medical tricorder back at Kevin's chest. "Oh... you've bruised a few ribs."
"What? I didn't feel anything..." Kevin did remember wiping out omce or twice, but that always hurt.
"Sure," said the nurse, rolling her eyes. "I'll be back...."
Kevin, who had not taken the time to investigate his surroundings, noticed another patient fairly close by.
"What happened to you?" he asked.

Judd sat back in his chair, at his desk in the Engineering office, and looked at his display screen. Glowing on it was his official report of the events of the past couple of days. Included in it, among the details of injured crew and damaged components either repaired or replaced, were requests for commendations for the entire Main Engineering staff, for their bravery during the Pirate boarding, either fighting the boarders, or remaining at their posts during the heated battle. He also included requests for commendations for Lieutennat Wolf, and the members of the security detail which escorted him around the old Bird-of-Prey.
Finally, satisfied that the report contained everything it should, he sent it to the Captain, and CC'ed it to the FO & department heads, as well as a copy to his own department files.
He looked around, sighed gustily, and rose fromhis seat. He decided he could do with a drink, so he headed for the lounge, with a thought repeating in his head.
And this was just my first mission!

Parsons arrived at the transporter room shortly before Lt. Wolf. Two security officers were present in the room as well, along with the transporter chief. All were armed.
The six pirates materialized in the containment field and dropped their weapons. They raised their hands, all but the leader, who was still lying in what could only be described as the fetal position.
The containment field was deactivated on Parsons' command and Lt. Wolf led the remaining enemy element to the brig. Parsons and the other two security officers brought up the rear. The Pirate leader was turned over to a medical team and additional security personnel.

Ton’ta had been resting when a voice at her side roused her.
"What happened to you?"
She turned on her side and rose up, resting on one elbow. “Bruised ego.” She laughed as she pushed herself the rest of the way up. “Seriously though, job hazard. “ She pushed herself off the bed and walked to the side of the young mans bed.
“I was in the wrong place at the wrong time I guess. Being held captive by pirates didn’t help either. What about yourself?” She asked as she tested her leg by putting her full weight on it. It ached but nothing like it had. She knew the soreness would go away eventually.
