Savot entered sickbay flanked by 2 security personnel, their phasers already drawn. Currently the EMH was heading up the CMO position and the vulcan passed it before its confused look could convert into speech. Quickly accessing the duty logs to see who was in charge of equipment distribution to Wolf's shuttle, Savot concluded without a doubt that there was no individual sabotage involved. There was no way to have pretermined the duty-roster ahead of time to ensure a potential agent would be the one to stock the shuttle, and there was no sign of the computer logs having been tampered with to have hidden a roster change.
Nodding to the security duo he then led them out of sickbay to the main medical storage hold mere meters from the sickbay entrance. He signalled the guards to stand by outside the doors as he entered to examine the medkits within. His tricorder flipped open to the sounds of beeps and chimes as he scanned the storage bay's contents. Logically, a single empty medkit could not be guaranteed to be the one assigned to the Major's particular shuttlecraft.
Savot's theory was confirmed as he determined that the entire medical storage bay was filled with empty kits. However... he started getting an odd reading from deeper within the piles of crates. The supply crate in the very middle of the group was surrounded on all sides by crates that weren't actually empty. Rather, they contained material often used by smugglers to block sensor scans from detecting contraband within their holds.
Gradually; however, an energy reading was registering on the tricorder gaining in strength rapidly. Savot's vulcan hearing also picked up on a growing high-pitched whine coming from the depths of the pile, and immediately he spoke out loudly as he turned back towards the door.
"Computer, activate Level 10 force field now!", as the First Officer gave the computer the urgent command the whine burst forth into a screech loud enough to be heard throughout Deck 7.
From the moment Savot opened his mouth several things happened within the space of a single second. Just as his command was spoken completely, the bomb in the midst of the empty medical crates exploded violently. The shockwave of the bomb was ironically what saved the vulcan's life as its tremendous force propelled him through the open doorway just before the force field isolated the room.
Savot was hurled violently into the ODN consoles lining the corridor, the plexiglass-esque material shattering on contact roughly cutting his left arm and temple. As his body was still falling towards the deck the explosion shook the rest of the ship with incredible force that could be felt on every deck. Fortunately, the force field burst to life just in time to save the ship from extreme damage and possible destruction.
One of the security guards lay dead, having been killed by an explosion within the ODN circuitry he'd been standing near while guarding the door. The other helped Savot to his feet and Savot immediately made for a turbolift to return to the bridge.
Exitting the life with the typical whoosh of the doors the vulcan entered the bridge, his forehead bleeding a small amount of green as was his left arm beneath his now-tattered sleeve. Seeing the Captain was off the bridge at the moment he walked to the center of the bridge, "Damage report, Mr. Hope."
"Internal sensors are temporarily offline, external sensors and defensive systems still working", came the reply from Ops.
Savot nodded, "Signal the medical staff to disperse amongst teams of 3 security personnel each to perform a full search of the ship for possible injuries. In our current state we will be unable to locate them by scan."
(OFF: More to come hopefully tomorrow. Major Wolf has left on his deployment and extends his regrets at not being able to complete his portion of the mission first. Provided it stays reasonable, Roberts and Sandage may continue to develop that as they choose. If not, I'll attempt to give you more detail to work with the next time I post. Thank you.))

I will make another attempt to contact sandage, =^= Sandage, where are you?=^= again no reply, in the meen time Wolf had made contact with the Savot
=^= Wolf to Savot, the shuttle is crawling with armed guards, also we cant make contact with sandage =^=

Lt. Spiller shouted without warning. "I... sensors are reading an energy surge in-"
A sudden rumble cut off the science officer. Everyone almost jumped out of their chair. "What was that?", asked Hope who was currently holding the bridge. Captain Irae had left by turbolift just shortly beforehand to follow up on Savot's investigation of sabotage.
Spiller frantically checked his sensors. "I'm not sure. It came from Sickbay, I think. But the entire ship is..." he shrugged.
"We lost internal sensors," interjected Hope. "Some areas near Sickbay are running on emergency power, but that's just a precaution to avoid possible secondary explosions, which is what I believe just happened."
"I agree with that," said Spiller, glad a more experienced officer was there to step in.
A bloodied Savot entered the Bridge and walked to the center of the bridge, "Damage report, Mr.

One moment Kevin was walking casually from the science lab to the last probe his team was going to deploy. The next moment, he tripped and fell as the ship shook slightly. Kevin got to his feet and dusted himself off, glad no one had been nearby to watch him. He almost tapped his commbadge to ask what had happened, but then thought better of it. Whatever it was, it wasn't his responsibility. He had to finish getting the probes out into space. Then he'd be back on the Bridge, and everything would be made clear. He resumed his pace, wondering what could have caused such a disturbance.

The first thing of which Judd was aware when he began to regain consciousness, apart from a head that felt as if it were experiencing its own warp core breech, was that he was laying face-down on something hard. He tried to move, which only served to re-double the stabbing pain in his head. so he lay there for a few moments, and the headache gradually began to subside. Never get stunned again, Sandage, he told himself.
After slowly working his way up to his feet, Judd took stock of his situation. He appeared to be in a dimly-lighted brig or some other sort of confinement cell. Unlike the El-Sal's relatively spacious brig, this one was small and cramped, like a 24th century version of an Old West jail cell, with an active forcefield instead of iron bars. He still wore his uniform, but his commbadge and tool kit had been confiscated.
Judd walked over to a wall and pressed a control. A small sink slid out from the wall, and Judd splashed some water on his face, then sat down on the lone bunk, worrying about Wolf and Roberts, wondering where he was, and how the hell he was going to get out of this predicament.
He looked up as a door outside his cell slid open. A humanoid figure, dressed in the same garb as the ones who had taken him, entered. For all Judd could tell, it might be one of the same persons. The person stopped in front of Judd's cell and appeared to be looking at him.
Judd rose from his seat and approached the forcefield to within a few steps. "Y'all wanna tell me what's goin' on here?" he asked. The figure's only response was to shift his or her weight slightly, in an almost bored fashion. "Y'all do realize I'm a Starfleet officer, right? They don't exactly take kidnapping of their personnel layin' down, y'know!" More silence, then the figure turned and walked out, leaving an exasperated Judd to pace his cell, and wonder what was coming next.

(Okay everybody, just going to lay out some base explanation of how things are gonna go for the remainder of this mission. As explained before, Wolf was unfortunately called away before the completion of his part of the mission and as such it's our job to make sure it ends it a logical manner.
During Wolf's approximately 4 month deployment I told him it was fine with me if he went on extended LOA rather than getting moved to TO. The story explanation for this is that at the end of this mission, he and Captain Philips will both return to active Special Ops duty and that's what Wolf's character will be doing during his r/t absence from simming with us.
I've thought up my own explanation for how this mission could possibly wrap up in a way that makes sense, but to do it that way I'd essentially have to finish the entire thing in one post by myself. I'm not a big fan of doing that and depriving the crew of their own creative input, so I'm leaving it open while letting everyone know the basic gist of how this needs to end to make sense. As stated before, Wolf and Captain Philips will be leaving at the end to pursue their own work in Special Ops. We know that one person aboard the Fury is an assassin sent by Section 31 to kill Philips. The rest could well be on the Captain's side trying to help him uncover the truth of the agent. They could possibly be the ones who took Sandage in an effort to keep him from getting hurt and remove an unknown variable from the situation.
That's just my suggestion, it can unfold however people want so long as it ends the way I've described. In the future this sort of jerky awkwardness will hopefully not occur; I apologize for it in this instance. I wanted to give Wolf a more active role before he had to leave but there simply wasn't enough time to accomplish everything. Do your best with the rest of this mission, and we'll hit the next one as smoothly as possible. Thanks again for your understanding and professionalism.)=^= Wolf to Savot, the shuttle is crawling with armed guards, also we cant make contact with sandage =^=, rang the Marine's report over the bridge speakers on the El Salvador. Savot, his left arm smeared with green blood from being thrown into the corridor outside the storage bay by the bomb's explosion, opened a channel on the arm of the center seat, =^= Understood, Major. It seems likely the Fury was already in-system when we arrived and had personnel on the surface before our probe field was activated. Please estimate how many guards 'crawling with' entails, and report on Captain Philips' present status. Savot standing by. =^= The vulcan then sat down in the center seat, a rare act for sure that suggested even he felt the growing tension of the situation. The Captain had left the bridge shortly before the explosion near sickbay, and without internal sensors they had no way of knowing her status until she either strode back onto the bridge under her own power, or was found by one of the roaming search teams wounded... or worse. (Just a final OOC note to go with this last part. Nothing serious going on just a reasonable explanation, with Captain Irae's approval as I was thankfully able to converse with her recently, as to why she's 'out of the loop' during her r/t move-induced absence. Try as I might I'm just not quite skilled enough to pull off NPC'ing an Irish female with the same flair as she. With luck she'll be back soon but whatever the case fear not, no potential funerals are in the works.)

Aboard the USS Fury
The assassin, now in nondescript civilian clothing, hurried along the corridor, wondering what else could possibly go wrong with this mission. It had started out sounding simple enough. Infiltrate the facility where Phillips was being held, and neutralize him at first opportunity. But someone within Starfleet intelligence had twigged to the mission, and now here he was, aboard the Fury, supposedly going in to rescue the good Captain Phillips! The assassin would have laughed aloud at that, but he had far too much experience in the field, and such behavior might break his cover.
The assassin entered the brig again, and stopped before the closet-sized cell which was currently occupied by, of all people, the chief engineer of the El Salvador. Sandage was his name.
Sandage was reclining on the narrow bunk, with one arm draped over his face, apparently asleep. The assassin stepped closer to the forcefield. "Mister Sandage! Wake up!" the assassin called out in an English accent.
Judd started awake and sat up, blinking away his confusion. When he saw that someone was standing there not wearing that new-fangled armor gear, he came off the bunk and looked as though he would step right through the forcefield without significant resistance, but stopped within an inch of it. "It's about dadgum time! I reckon y'all are gonna tell me what in blazes is goin' on around here!"
The assassin nodded, affecting a disarming smile. "you are quite correct, Commander. First, allow me to welcome you aboard the USS Fury. I am Commander Henry Jordan, Captain Phillips' former first officer. My comrades and I have, shall we say, borrowed the Fury, and are coming to the aid of our former Captain, whose life is in grave danger."
Judd looked askance at Jordan. "Y'all are kiddin', right? Our reports told us that Captain Phillips has flipped his wig and had taken control of the facility, and we were comin' t' talk him out of it."
Jordan shook his head. "Unfortunately, it seems that someone within Starfleet has sent you and your ship on a fool's errand. Captain Phillips was sent to this facility quite against his will, by certain...elements within Starfleet who wish to, shall we say, take a hard line in certain issues. Captain Phillips was very vocal against this stance, and as a result was sent here, in a conveniently out of the way location, for the sole purpose of allowing an assassin easy, low-profile access to finish the job."
Judd shook his head. "y'all will hafta pardon me when I say that's a load o' fertilizer. Yeah, maybe they sent Captain Phillips here to shut him up, but I can't believe that they'd send someone out here to the hinterlands, just to wait for a convenient time to be done in!"
Jordan nodded. I understand your viewpoint, Mister Sandage, I really do. But we have received confidential information that the assassin may be even closer than first thought. Possibly even aboard the El Salvador, which would explain why she was sent here, rather than a regular negotiation team."
This elicited a snort from Judd. "come on now, y'all don't really expect me to believe..." He trailed off as he suddenly remembered the empty hyposprays on the shuttle.
Jordan just smiled grimly. "Yes, it all comes together, doesn't it? Which is why I've come here now to speak with you. We could use your assistance, Commander. There are only a few of us, and unfortunately there is not a bona fide engineer among us. We could use your assistance in Engineering."
Judd's mind was racing as he turned and paced around the small cell. Here was his chance to do something meaningful for the mission. But what? Something told Judd to accept, but he still appeared to agonize over his decision for a moment before looking up. "Alright, I'll do 'er!" he announced.
Jordan nodded with a grin, and stepped over to a console. He pressed a control, and the forcefield on the cell faded. Judd stepped out, and accepted a handshake from Jordan. "Welcome to the crew, Mister Sandage!" he exclaimed, even as his mind worked on a way to get this fool out of the way without making a big fuss.

=^=I would say maybe 4 or 5, but that is only on the outside, there may be more inside=^= Wolf paused waiting for the reply.
=^=It would appear Philips' three former crewmembers are not alone. Very well, Major. Fall back to a defensible position within the complex and keep Captain Philips out of harm's way. Assuming the Fury arrived before us it's unlikely they left any of the facility's shuttlecraft unsecured, but check the facility computers just in case. Unfortunately our transport inhibitor field prevents us from directly retrieving you and with the Fury likely in-system under cloak we cannot risk sending another shuttle at this time. Keep us apprised of your situation Major, Savot out=^=, Savot closed the channel.
His hand then rose to tap his combadge, =^= Savot to Zimmerman. We appear to have arrived after the Fury and Mr. Sandage is likely in the hands of the opposition. Your presence on the bridge is required to help locate them. Have you completed your work below? =^=, the vulcan spoke into the air piping the message to the Science Chief a few decks below.

=^= Understood sir=^= wolf then tapped his comm badge to end the communitcation, "We need to get to a defensible position within the complex" wolf in formed John, they bothe then headed back to the complex.
"here is where we split up, Im going back to talk to philips, you must check some computers for any information you can on the Fury or any thin else that may be useful" with that Wolf walked away.
John began looking around for a computor terminal, non in sight, John noticed a door, a young female came walking out, John walked over to the door ike he had every right in the world, as he enterd he saw 2 armed guards stood there, he continued to walked over to the computir, cooly he asked one of the guards if he could borrow one of there key cards, he used the exuse he had left his in his quaters, they both reluctently agreed
John swiped the key card and gave it back to the guard, just then the woman re-enterd and asked him what he was doing, "Im just doing a little reasearch" he replied "what into" she asked agian, "I dont think that has anything to do with you does it" she frowned and sat at the oppersite computor.
John looked in to a few of the files, nothing, just the same stuff they knew already, then he stumbled across a file named 'Prisoners', John needed a password to accesss it, using a numer he noticed on the womans card just infornt of him as a password, it worked.
Looking around he began to download the data to a data padd next to him, then loged out took the padd and left.
=^= Roberts to El Salvador, I have a data pdd with a list of current detaines, Wolf is with Philips', what do you wish for me to do, try and get to wolf or wait here =^=

Judd entered the Engineering section of the Fury in the midst of a dilema. He had to somehow let Mr Savot know where he was without alerting anyone on the Fury, and he also had to find out who the assassin was. But how? he wondered.
He moved to the Master Enginerring Display and took stock of the Fury's current condition. Enhanced phaser emitters...multiple-launch torpedo capability...improved cloaking device...multi-phasic shields...Where the hell did they get all this stuff? Then his eyes settled ontp the warp core output...and a germ of an idea began to take root.
Judd took a look around. He was the only person present. He quickly picked up a tool kit and strode to the main door. He popped the panel off the door controls, and quickly re-arranged the circuitry. Now the door would alert him a few seconds before anyone was admitted. He could work in relative safety. He took his tools and went to the warp core control panel. If anyone saw him, he could claim he was doing a Level Two calibration. He touched a tool to one spot, and a panel came off. Using a tricorder, he was able to make a local calibration, without alerting the bridge. The resultant pulse would be detectable by the El Sal. He fervently hoped, as he replaced the panel, that Savot and Zimmerman would see the pulse for what it was.
A sudden noise made Judd spin, nearly dropping a spanner in the process. "Hello?" He had been certain that no one else was in here with him. But when a drop of perspiration fell on his forehead, he knew for certain as he looked up that he was wrong. Dead wrong.

OCC: Sorry about my lack of activity. I am sorry that it took me so long to post. I think I may have fixed my RL problem...
Even though the Major had told him to remain with the shuttle, Travor suddenly felt the need to relieve himself. He told Judd what he was going to do. He went about 50 meters and was utilizing the tree line. Because he was on a ‘hostle’ planet, he used his abilities to determine if anyone was sneaking up on him. He had brought a phaser rifle and a tri-corder. He was finishing up when he felt a presence approach the shuttle. He stayed out of sight and watched the shuttle. He heard phaser fire from inside the shuttle. He quickly scanned the area and saw that there was a dampening field in place around the shuttle. He doubted he could contact the El Sal. So he tried something else.
~Lt. Roberts, do not be alarmed. This is Commander Gonto. Commander Sandage is no longer on the shuttle, I feel that he may have been captured. I sense that you and the Major are heading to the shuttle, stay out of sight, I will try to keep you appraised.~
<Roberts>
Travor had another idea, but before he could act on it, the Major and Lt. Roberts came and left. After they had left the area, Travor picked up a stone that was 10 feet away from him and hurled it away from his position. The guards looked and sent two of their comrades to investigate. Travor used his distraction to head toward the complex.
Using his abilities, he located the Major and Roberts.
~Roberts, I am coming to your location from your right, hold your fire.~
<Roberts>
When he got to where Roberts was waiting, he tapped his commbadge.
=/\=Commander Gonto to the El Salvador, I have met up with Lt. Roberts, he has appraised me as to what has happened thus far inside. As for at the shuttle, I had to relieve myself and while I was doing that, Commander Sandage was taken captive. I believe that he may have been taken aboard the Fury. What do you want us to do?=/\=

=^=If you believe you can regain control of the shuttle and return to the ship, do so. Failing that, the most logical option at this juncture would be to find the most defensible position possible and regroup there with Wolf and Philips until you can be retrieved. We will continue our attempts to locate the Fury; send reports of your progress every quarter hour. Bridge out=^=, Savot closed the channel then stood up from the Captain's chair to sit at the Tactical station. He began an initial series of filtering scans to assist Hope and Spiller's attempts to find the Fury beneath her cloak.

John stayed waiting for a reply from Savot for a few moments, when none cam he went looking for Wolf, he went the same way as the had come from, when he saw Wolf he informed him that he and Gonto where to retake the shuttle, it was Wolfs choice weather he helped out or not.
Wolf agreed and they left the building to meet Gonto, when they saw him he was on the other side of the shuttle with a phaser rifle.
=^= Commander Gonto, if a shot becomes avalible take it, I and Wolf will then go in nd try and catch them off guard, and knock em out, we will then enetr the shuttle, trying to get any weapon avalible and retake the shuttle. after that who knows, unless you have a better idea sir=^=

Judd just managed to dive head-first into a Jefferies tube as a phaser blast caused a sensor panel to erupt into sparks just above his head. Not being as familiar with the Fury as he was with the El Sal, he was quite surprised to find himself sliding for several meters before coming to a stop. Taking a quick look around, he immediately crawled into a side passage.
"Mister Sandage! This really must stop!" Jordan's voice was almost mocking in its tone. "We both know that this is what must happen! We officers must always give in to the dictates of our superiors!"
Judd ignored Jordan's monologue. Instead, he concentrated on his sketchy memory of the Jefferies tube layout, doing his best to ignore the cuts, bruises, and various other injuries he had incurred in the past few minutes. He had to do something besides avoid this Jordan character. Then he looked up at the ventilation duct. Yes it just might work...it might cost Judd his life, but then that was part of being Starfleet officer, wasn't it? Judd checked the hand phaser he had managed to grab, then, trying to ignore the protests of pain from his body, wedged himself into the ventilation shaft.

As the three officers were watching the shuttle, Travor noticed one seemed to be a little 'lost.' Travor kept an eye on him, while strengthening his own mental defences.
It looked like the 3 guards were getting ready to disembark on the shuttle. Travor took aim at the guard he had been watching and fired his phaser rifle. As soon as the guard fell, he aimed at the shuttle's engines and fired. He saw an explosion and hoped he hadn't disabled the shuttle beyond the away team's ability to fix it. He heard phaser fire from across the wayy and saw that Roberts and Wolf were firing at the remaining guards.
A short time later, Travor was in the shuttle doing a diagnostic on the shuttle's engines. He sent a message to the El Sal.
=/\=Commander Savot, we have retaken the shuttle. However, during the fire fight, the shuttle's engines were damaged. We are working on repairs, while Major Wolf continues to try and diffuse the situation on the surface.=/\=

=/\=Commander Savot, we have retaken the shuttle. However, during the fire fight, the shuttle's engines were damaged. We are working on repairs, while Major Wolf continues to try and diffuse the situation on the surface.=/\=
Savot tied in the channel from his seat at the Tactical station, =^= Understood Mr. Gonto. Inform us of your estimated repair time upon completion of your initial diagnostic and ensuring that the defeated guards are adequately secured. Lieutenant Roberts, interrogate the captives to discern whether they travelled to the surface by their own shuttlecraft or if they transported down prior to our arrival. We are currently working to locate the Fury, will update you as the situation progresses, Bridge out. =^=
Savot had been working for a few minutes on beginning the first layers of sensor filtering from the Tactical station on the bridge. In theory, a cloaked vessel could be detected by registering as a complete void in space. Normal space does not register as a void due to the distribution of nanoscopic particles throughout the galaxy so a complete void could only be caused by an artificial process, such as that of a ship's cloak. However, to adequately scan for such a pinpoint phenomenon it would normally take at least 3 vessels with 2 of them concentrated solely on filtering out sensor disruptions while the lead vessel scanned for the void.
Under more ideal circumstances, the vulcan would have liked to utilize the El Salvador's MVAM capability to create that tri-vessel flotilla but with so many of the senior staff off the ship, one likely held hostage, that wasn't currently an option. Making due with what they had available Savot worked to screen as much of the sensor disruptions as possible from the likely regions the Fury might be orbitting. He was just about to screen out a random pulse when he paused for a moment to observe it more intently.
The turbolift doors whooshed open to admit Kevin Zimmerman who moved toward Spiller and the Science station's console. Without looking up from the screen Savot spoke to the Commander, "Mr. Zimmerman, if you'll peruse the scan parameters I'm transmitting to your console, I require a second opinion on an abnormality."

"Of course, sir," replied Kevin. Lt. Spiller got up hastily out of the chair. After a quick glance Kevin turned back to Savot. "Looks almost like a ship could have just passed through there. I think I see a... yeah, looks sort of like an engine trail. But there's no one else..." Kevin's mouth formed an 'o'. "The Fury's a cloaked ship. That would definitely leave something like that behind."
Lt. Spiller coughed. "Sir, should we split the ship apart? Triangulate-"
Kevin shook his head. "No, that would take too long, and we'd be vulnerable while splitting. But you've got a good idea. Since we already have so many probes out there right now..." he shrugged. "Sir, that cloak looks a little less professional than some. I'm guessing whoever installed it either didn't have much time to do so or has had little practice. Our target is going to leave enough of a trail for us to pick up on him fairly quickly. Even at a distant orbit, any ship must fire engines, thrusters, something to keep it from crashing onto the planet. All we need to do is wait for the next little burst of energy. Then we'll have them."
"But we will have a little lag time," objected Lt. Spiller. "We'll need to wait for our sensors to pick up the bursts, and then we'll need to investigate. They will be able to get away before we get too close."
Kevin smirked. "No, they won't. With all those probes we've got sitting out there, we don't need to move at all." Savot raised an eyebrow. Lt. Spiller's expression was similar. "I assume Starfleet won't mind if we lose a few probes," explained Kevin. "Without shields, the Fury will probably not be able to avoid hitting the probe unless it fires up its engines. And then the probe will just follow the Fury while we move to intercept. Or it will hit the Fury and cause quite a mess."
"How long will it take for you to reprogram the probes for such a task?" asked Savot.
"Ten minutes," replied Kevin. "But it could take a couple of hours to catch the Fury. I will need to get at least one more burst before I can guestimate their intended orbit and try to shake them out of it by putting a probe in their way."
"What about the sensor logs?" asked Spiller. "Couldn't we just look for any similar bursts since we arrived and plot their probably trajectory from those?"
There was a moment of silence. "Oh," said Kevin. "I guess that would be faster."
"I'll go down to the labs and get started on that," offered Lt. Spiller.
"Yeah," replied Kevin, face slightly pink. It was a little embarrassing to be shown up by someone in his own department, who he was supposed to be helping. "I'll get started on the probes, sir," he said to Savot as Lt. Spiller disappeared into the turbolift.

John went into the rear of the shuttle where the few alive guards where sat, from around 8 guards, 6 survived the engine blast, not a bad really, at least some survived it.
John began imediatly to talk to them, as normal as he could, almost like he was chatting away to an old friend, they chatted about really random things, such as foods. after about 10mins this John then asked them the question, "So wheres th Fury then?" cought of guard they told him, "orbiting round the 1st moon", the he realised what he had said and swore, then John went for the 'Juggular' "How many of ou are down here, and how did you get down, shuttle or transporters", the just kept swearing, it was evidant he wasnt going to get any more information out of them, so he stoped for a while.
John went over to the tec/sec panel and sent a private message to Savot.
=^= ok, I have got the main information out of one of the guards, the Fury is orbiting the 1st moon, I was unable to get ant other info, and probly wont be able to for some time =^=

=^= Ok, I have got the main information out of one of the guards, the Fury is orbiting the 1st moon, I was unable to get ant other info, and probly wont be able to for some time =^=, Roberts' message came through on the Tactical Console that Savot was still stationed at assisting Kevin who'd returned to the bridge while his protege Spiller accessed the sensor logs to track the Fury.
Savot replied vocally opening a channel, =^= Acknowledged Lieutenant, we'll focus our search efforts around the 1st moon. Bridge out. =^=
Zimmerman nodded understanding before the Vulcan had to give any orders out loud and began making the preparations to force the Fury's hand.
Just as Savot began to return to his sensor readings at Tactical a message came through over the ship's intercom, =^= Sickbay to Bridge. We've located Captain Irae but she's in critical condition. The EMH is conducting a full diagnosis as we speak. =^=
Before the nurse's echo faded he opened a channel in response, =^= Savot to sickbay, elaborate. =^=
=^= One of the dispatched search teams located the Captain roughly 3 minutes ago within a damaged turbolift. The EMH's initial scans suggest that the Captain was struck by an energy discharge from the turbolift's console. He believes the discharge was caused by an overload resulting from the explosion in the main medical storage room. I can't give you anything else until more tests have been run =^=, the Benzite nurse's voice sounded grave. Most of the El Salvador's current medical staff had worked under Deis when she was Chief Medical officer, and all of them knew how damning cerebral injuries of any kind could be. As it stood there was a chance the Captain might not survive at all, and if she did there could be massive mental trauma...
If anything, Savot seemed to go more unemotional than usual after hearing the report, falling into an almost machine-like efficiency and focus. He responded to the message without the slightest upward tilt of his head toward the cieling that he, like so many people, made when responding to an intercom message, =^= Acknowledged. Report immediately upon new findings, Bridge out. =^=
As he closed the channel Zimmerman looked at him silently, with just a slight nod to let the vulcan know they were ready to proceed with their plan to force the Fury from hiding. Savot nodded and moved to stand in front of the command chair, "Prepare to place the obstacle, Commander. Helm, prepare to break orbit from Jevon 2 and intercept the Fury upon successful placement of the probe. Mr. Hope, stand by on tractor beam with full power."
As the chorus of replies rang out in no-nonsense fashion around the bridge, Savot stood with his arms crossed at his chest rather than his usual posture of clasping his hands behind his back. Kevin spoke out a few moments later, "Moving the probe now, sir." As the main viewer followed the increasingly smaller probe's diversion to the primary moon into the Fury's plotted orbit the officers watched intently, all of them effected by the news from sickbay.
The Fury had few options at her disposal. They could undoubtedly detect the probe headed their way and could guess as to its intention. However, as Zimmerman's plan had anticipated, attempting to alter course and avoid it would reveal them just as effectively as the probe itself could. As the probe moved ever closer Savot spoke as he moved toward the front of the Bridge to the Operations console over Ethan's shoulder, "Helm, break orbit and follow the probe's course. Mr. Hope, upon detection use the following shield command codes to penetrate the Fury's shields and lock them firmly in our tractor beam." Savot leaned just enough to enter in the codes given him by Major Wolf before his shuttle launch; the codes he said couldn't be altered. They'd soon find out if the Major's information had been correct. Ethan didn't know Wolf had given Savot the codes, but he didn't ask questions as he locked the codes in and synchronized the tractor emitters to the frequency.
As they closed on the moon, sensors rang out as they detected the movement of a ship breaking orbit from the moon attempting to make a run for it. As Kevin used both the ship and probe's sensors to get as accurate a lock as possible, Hope brought the tractor beam to bear on the still invisible ship. The guesswork of the sensor lock combined with the Fury's building speed caused both ships to shudder as the tractor lock was established but within seconds both Ops and Science had secured the Fury, Ethan having the quick thinking to send a tachyon feed through the tractor emitters to disrupt their target's cloak completely.
As the powerful Defiant-class ship filled the viewscreen held in the pulsating blue of the El Salvador's tractors, a chime rang out from Ethan's Ops station, "Commander Savot, they're hailing us."
Savot nodded, his arms still crossed, "Main viewer."
The image switched to that of the orange-skin of a three-legged Edosian officer, =^= I'm Commander Zej'Ris of the Federation starship Fury. We don't want a fight our sole concern is the safety of our Captain. =^= Before he continued, Zej'Ris seemed to notice he was talking to a fellow Commander, not his 'opponent' vessel's CO. =^= Where's your Captain, Commander... =^=
Savot spoke in reply, =^= Commander Savot, First Officer of the Federation starship El Salvador. Our Captain is in critical condition following a sabotage explosion aboard our ship. You will stand down immediately Commander. You are no doubt aware of our having deactivated your shields. You will deactivate your offensive systems immediately and return our Chief Engineer abducted from our shuttle on the surface of Jevon 2. =^=
Zej'Ris was taken aback at Savot's report of Deis' injury. The vulcan, though no spokesman for instinct over evidence, was immediately convinced that the Edosian was not the traitor officer. There is a tie, a concern for one's Commanding Officer that only builds within loyal crew, with a sincerity incapable of being faked. Zej'Ris was concerned for Captain Philips' safety, and so he understood the El Salvador officers' situation now that their own Captain had been injured. =^= Commander Savot, I am truly sorry for the role our presence played in the injury to your Captain. This whole situation was created in hopes of discovering a traitor amongst our number who has orders to kill Captain Philips. Your officer was taken to ensure his safety and we'll return him to you at once. Etam, send a detachment to the brig and escort Mr. Sandage to the transporter room for return to the El Salvador. =^= Zej'Ris' last statement was to an officer off-screen, Savot recognized the name as possibly being that of Etam B'ren the Fury's Bajoran Chief Engineer. His focus quickly returned to the screen; however, as Zej'Ris' orange skin turned almost rust-colored as his face contorted in concern. =^= He's not in the brig? Initiate full search at once! El Salvador, someone's released your officer from our holding cell, we're sending security parties to find him. =^=
Savot listened to the Edosian's tense report, =^= Whoever released Mr. Sandage is most likely the assassin you are searching for. I recommend concentrating your search among the more unorthodox ship locations. Mr. Sandage's engineering background makes that his most likely avenue of escape if he has indeed done so. You may rest assured that Captain Philips is safe in the custody of Major Runningwolf, the head of our Marine contingent, within the facility. A number of your guards are in custody as well, and will be returned to you upon your return of our Engineer.=^=
The Edosians eyes went wide then narrowed quickly as though surprised, =^= Wolf's on your crew? He served with all of us years back, if he's with the Captain that's good enough for me. We'll find your officer, Commander. You have my word. =^= The viewer went back to the image of the tractor-held Fury.
The situation seemed to be coming to a close. Unfortunately, if Judd was still alive, his predator had felt the shudder of the tractor lock, and knew that he was running out of time to cover his tracks. Savot hoped the Engineer could stay a step ahead of the assassin long enough to be found by the Fury's security forces...
(Tag: Anyone on the bridge who wants to respond, put in creatively detailed descriptions or some such if you feel motivated/ Judd if you can continue your POV within the Fury's innards/ and anyone else that wants to pitch in. Apologies for the lengthiness of the post, just felt that this mission needed to be cattle-prodded towards completion since the major player, no pun intended, was prematurely taken from us.)

Judd remained wedged in a painful crouching position in the overhead ductwork, watching and waiting for the right moment. In his right hand, the small hand phaser was a comforting weight. He thumbed the power level to maximum, and waited.
Just below him, Jordan moved about with unaccustomed care for someone with regular Starfleet Academy training. He was randomly firing his phaser at openings, some of them getting rather close to Judd's hiding place. "Really, Mister Sandage, this is getting us nowhere! I will find you eventually. Why put off the inevitable?" Judd didn't say a word, but felt himself tensing up as Jordan's phaser swung slowly around until it was pointed directly at the vent where Judd was hiding.
Then, with no warning whatsoever, the Fury suddenly shuddered, as if from a chill, and a sensor console across the Engineering bay beeped. Jordan turned in annoyance.
This was the moment Judd had been waiting for. Judd kicked out at the vent screen, aimed, and fired. He hit his target, which was not the man currently trying to kill him. The beam made a direct hit on the Fury's cloaking controls, which were only a few feet from Jordan's position. The control panel exploded, showering Jordan with sparks and sending him and his phaser flying in different directions.
Judd dropped to the deck, landing badly and dropping his phaser, but with only minor injury. He leaped immediately to his feet, and was greeted with a hard fist to the face, sending him staggering back. Jordan's face, burnt and bloodied from the explosion, appeared from the smoke. "You are fare more trouble than you are worth!" he growled as he advanced on Judd.
Judd, for his part, noticed that Jordan's left arm was hanging at the man's side. He immediately lashed out at Jordan's left side, landing a glancing blow on the man's jaw. Jordan staggered slightly, but seemed otherwise unaffected by the blow. IN response, his right foot whipped out and caught Judd hard in the ribcage, which was already screaming with pain. Judd cried out and collapsed to one knee. as he went down, his arm fell across a workbench. His hand closed on something, and he glared up at Jordan. "I just realized your mistake," he said hoarsely.
Jordan looked askance at Judd as he approached the engineer. "And what might that be, Mister Sandage? he asked as he prepared to launch another attack.
Judd rose up and met the attack, catching the descending arm with his left hand. His right brought up the power spanner and rammed it home, just under Jordan's armpit. Without hesitation, Judd hit the power switch, and pushed Jordan clear.
Jordan's body stiffened as the power spanner discharged its energy into his body, staggering backwards, then the device shorted out, but the damage was done. Jordan, a look of astonishment on his face, collapsed on the deck, face-down.
Judd dropped to his knees beside the prostrate man."Never fight an engineer on his home turf," he said, just as the doors to Engineering were forced open.

As Roberts questioned the guards they had captured, Travor was busy trying to get the engines back on-line. As he was doing that, he watched what was happening out in space. As the El Sal. caught the Fury in its tractor beam, Travor let out a yell of great joy.
A short time later, Travor received a message from the helmsman that was currently on duty, a Ensign Edon. That message stated that the guards were going to be released once Mr Sandage was returned to the ship.
Travor got up and went to the back of the shuttle, "Do any of you have a background in Engineering?" One of them nodded. Travor looked at him and said, "The Fury is currently being held by the El Salvador's tractor beam, and we know that you guys are just looking out for the well-being of your captain. Eventually you all will be released, but in the mean time, I could use some help getting these engines back on-line. What do you say?"
All four guards nodded and Travor looked over at Roberts and nodded for him to release them.
Shortly thereafter, all six of them were working on repairing the engines.

John followed Gonto through to the main sevtion of the shuttle, watching the guards every move, none of them tried anything.
After aroung an hour Gonto said "John, try fireing up the engines" John walked over to the engineering console, pressed a few buttons, "There online and working and half the maximum capacity, if yo can get some more out of em', should i shut em back down?"

Ethan listened intently to the conversation between both men. He was in position to share his opinion, but he believed what the Fury's officer was saying. He was sincere and would try to help them get Wolf back and find the assasin.
"Commander, I've notified the guards and have informed them to escort the Fury guards to the transporter room," Ethan said as he finished sending the message. "I have also taken the liberty of beginning extensive scans on the Fury. I don't doubt the Commander's sincerity, but our traitor might have done something to the systems. Our sensors our powerful enough to pick on things that the Fury cannot."
