He was changing when he heard the door chime, looking around his quarters nothing had been moved. He knew Roberts had made sure nothing was touched, normaly when a officer leaves for a extend mission his things were packed up and put away. " Enter " he turned to see Roberts walk in there was something on his mind but wasn't sure what it was.
" I hope our new friends out there didn't chase you off, its me they should feel mad at not you" Pausing " Thanks for making sure they didn't pack up my stuff they always seem to loose something. So what can I do for you I'm sorry if I made a big scene but I was just alittle concerned about you thats all" <Tag Roberts>

"It isn't a problem my friend" he said with a smile, "And what you said back there about trusting me with your life, I feel the same, its only yourself and Savot that I trust now a days" he added a moment later.
(wolf)
John stood a moment, shifting his weight un-easily, "I don't know if you already know about this, but you where right it is the Romulan, it isn't her personally, just the fact she is Romulan really" he paused again, thinking for a moment, choosing the right words, but also feeling some what unprofessional.
"I don't quite know how to say it so I will just say it" he paused again, took a deep breath, "During a cargo run near the Romulan neutral zone, my parents, ship was boarded by a Romulan patrol ship and the small crew of two were accused of smuggling weapons. My parents were slaughtered and their ship destroyed by the Romulans. So yeah, I kinda have a problem with Romulans on a whole."
John then stopped speaking, waiting for Wolf to say something, but really John didn't know what he could say after what he had just told him.

He heard the door chime and told the person enter, he had already changed into his green Marine uniform. He looked up to see Roberts enter he could tell he had something to say andd didn't want to interupt. He waited and it all came pouring out him at once he could tell he had been holding it in for a long time.
Looking at his friend he took a moment, he knew that he was break countless rules but to heck with them. " I understand how you feel I really do my last mission was to remove a Romulan senator who was going push for war. His reasoning was that star Fleet has new listening post along the border and a spy in the senate. Well we have all had enough of war so I took the mission and lost half my team. Do I hate Romulans No there not all like that, some are very differnt do I trust them at first glance no that would be unwise and foolish. My point is some people can change there nature but it takes time for us to see if they have changed . I'm not telling to stop hating Romulans all I'm saying is take it on a case by case. Treat it like a investigation learn what you can and make the call afterwards. Commander Hope might shock you and prove to you that not all Romulans are bad then again she might not, but at least you can say I tryed and that you gave it a chance." Pausing for a moment
He figured might as well tell him the whole story to show that other races could be as bad as the romulans as well. " Roberts that senator I took out he wasn't a bad guy he loved his family and was loyal to the empire he was worried about the star fleet threat to push the empire in the direction star fleet wanted. Come to find out that he was right we have new secert listening post and a spy who's cover is safe again. I killed a man for doing what he thought was right even when we were in the wrong. I'm not proud of this I found out aftwards and people can say its not your fault you didn't know. But think about it does it make a differnce to the family of that man does it matter. All they know is somebody killed him and they believe it was a star fleet operation."
" Think about that my friend and give it what ever wieght you want, my point being is both sides can do bad things for what they believe is the greater good. It does not make it right but you call me a friend do you still call me a friend after what I just told you" <Tag Roberts>

"You're right, although it doesn't change the way I feel toward Romulans, I will still be giving Commander Hope a chance, I always make a point to give all new people a chance to prove them selves, even Romulans." John then turned and left, not before glancing back to Wolfs remark about friendship and giving him a slight smile to quash any worried feelings he may have, John knew he had a good friend aboard this ship once more, and it was time the past hour or so was left, and the tour was resumed.

Looking at Commander Jackson " I also would like to say I'm sorry as well did not mean to be so short as i stated earlyer Roberts is my friend one of the few people on this ship who I trust with my life. Call me a little over protective if you want this is not to say he can't handle himself. I just dont like to see him troubled thats all, I'ev lost to many people lately and I'm a little edge for it. I hope that this will not become a problem in the futer"
Wolf’s apology took Stacey by surprise she wasn’t expecting it and she tried to hide the slight surprise on her face but she feared she was unsuccessful. After a second she had regained her focus and smiled as she said.
“Mr. Wolf I find your dedication as a friend to be admirable, we should all be so lucky.”
As Wolf and Roberts left leaving Stacey stood next to S’reena. Stacey sighed heavily as she rubbed her lower back before turning to S’reena.
“The chairs in those shuttlecraft are awfully uncomfortable to sit in for more than a few hours... I may pay a visit to sickbay later see if they can’t do something about this ache.”
As Wolf and Roberts returned the tour resumed Stacey took great interest in Engineering and other areas of which Stacey was almost clueless.
After Stacey had been shown a majority of the ship Stacey turned to the group and said, “Well thank you for the tour... But if you will excuse me there are some things I must attend to.”
Nodding to the group Stacey walked off towards the closest turbolift and making her way back to her office.

The Tour was coming to a end and he didn't really want to go back to his quarters. He knew there would be a meeting with Captain Savot soon. He was in a hurry to rejoin his old life and wasn't sure how to go about it. His thought kept going back to the old mission and it was bugging him more then he wanted to admit.
Heading to the bridge to see if there was anything he could do to keep himself busy. Walking back on the bridge he head to his station it wasn't much but it was something. Looking around all seemed pretty quite a normal mission for a change, he had long since learned there was nothing normal when it came to the El Salvador and it worried him. It was like the calm before the storm. <Tag Anybody>

After a while, S'reena stood alone in the corridor. Wolf and Roberts had stalked off earlier, in not too good a mood from the sound of their footfall, and Trusdale she believed had left shortly after. She wasn't certain has she never had heard the girl leave.
For a few minutes, that left her alone with Counselor Jackson and that made her feel a little uncomfortable. However, since she didn't want to offend the woman, she said nothing and just waited, listened to people walking by, chatting quietly. "I'll see you later...Stacey," she called after the retreating woman, uncomfortably calling her by her given name for the first time.
Quietly, she followed the directions the computer gave her back to her quarters, where she spent roughly an hour dozing on the couch while her children bounced happily around her. Lucas, apparently, had fled the scene to sickbay, where he would be reporting in as medical officer as well as handing in their medical files so they could be called upon for their physical. Jayvee as usual was sitting quietly beside her, whimpering softly that he wanted to ride with Uncle Noah. Kahlan on the other hand was sat at the desk, studying for one of her exams, while Yarna seemed to entertain the remaining two siblings. Jeisen and Kyala were happy, very busy children, always full of energy and a rightly drain on their mother's energy.
Especially now that she couldn't see what they were doing or where they were exactly, it was draining her energy as paying attention through her remaining senses just cost her more. Though she had no actual need to close her eyes, she did so anyway for a few seconds, before rising to her feet and walking over to the replicator. Yarna hurried to clear the path for her mother, tossing aside any toys that could've been in her way. S'reena heard and nodded appreciatively while she ordered up a light meal for herself and some raw meat for her new companion.
After her meal, she changed into a fresh uniform, told Kahlan to mind her siblings until her father would come home, then left her quarters again and headed for the bridge. "Captain, I was wondering if I could have a word?" Waiting for the Vulcan's verbal response, she listened for any familiar sounds coming from the El-Salvador's bridge. It sounded different than the Hanson's or even the Hepta's, but there were some similarities. She knew she would learn soon enough.
Once the captain had responded, she followed him into his readyroom. "Captain, I believe I ought to let you know that I have no further command aspirations, nor the desire to raise to such a position again in the future. I have served as first officer on the Hanson for several years and while I very much enjoyed it, my current medical and physical situation will not allow for it. I am still adjusting to being blind, and I don't believe I should be left in charge of the bridge at any given time."
She paused, wondering if she was being presumptuous in assuming she'd ever be left in command. Since he was Vulcan, S'reena was certain his logic would dictate that with her command experience she could be ideal in some situations. However, she had no desire to take the experience from someone who could actually use his or her eyes to regard and judge a situation. "I don't mean to sound self-important captain. It is just how I feel. Perhaps in a distant future but at present I don't feel confident in doing so. I would prefer to keep myself busy with science projects and monitoring sensor data input from the bridge. I am confident in my abilities in that area as there is nothing wrong with my hearing; it is, in fact, probably just as acute as yours, sir."

He really didn't know what to do with him self the last 6 months had been a wild ride. There was no quite safe time. Now he was wondering did he miss the threat of death the thrill of out witting the enemy. He just didn't know anymore it was like he didn't feel alive anymore. He knew the current mission was suppose to be a quite one but thats the way they are all suppose to be.
Looking around he was wondering if made the right choice to come back, could he learn to fit in again who knew?

Post by Savot on Oct 11, 2008 3:48:31 GMT
Savot held a mostly silent vigil on the bridge, intently observing the incoming telemetry from the probe the El Salvador had launched to monitor the battle between the Klingons and the Hirogen vessel. Thus far the battle had yet to swing decisively in either side's favor.
A barrage from the Hirogen vessel had disabled one of the Birds of Prey, perhaps mortally so, but based on the Hirogen's next several manuevers it seemed likely that the victory had cost them their starboard sensor array. A blind spot such as that during space combat, particularly when outnumbered, could prove damning.
Updating himself every 7.5 minutes on the sensor readouts for the rest of their patrol route, Savot allowed himself the inner enjoyment of attempting to predict the respective commanders' tactics as the battle unfolded. He understood the widely held pacifist belief that live-fire exercises were an unnecessary risk of life, but so too did he recognize the counter argument that only a genuine risk could fully test the abilities of the participants.
One of the Klingons dove into the upper atmosphere of one of the system's planets, a common evasive strategy used by Klingon commanders, but the Hirogen continued their dogged pursuit and fired a torpedo at the fleeing Bird of Prey while still within the atmosphere. Savot did not know whether to attribute that to recklessness on the part of the Hirogen commander, or exemplary work on the part of the engineers who made their torpedoes.
Without precisely applied ablative coating an explosive weapon fired in the upper layer of atmosphere could be instantly set off by the extreme heat and cause catastrophic damage to its mother vessel. As it was, the torpedo fired successfully but missed its target and plunged to impact on the lifeless surface below. It was precisely this moment that the turbolift doors opened to reveal the El Salvador's new Science Officer, who then walked over to address the vulcan captain, "Captain, I was wondering if I could have a word?"
Savot looked up from the sensor readouts and nodded out of habit but also replied vocally, "Of course, Commander." The phrasing of the inquiry suggested a desire for said 'word' to be in private, so he rose and led the way through the Ready Room doors shifting the 'visitor' chair slightly to allow Hope to audibly pick up its location before circling the desk to assume his own seat.
Hope wasted no time in getting to the meat of the subject once she'd settled, "Captain, I believe I ought to let you know that I have no further command aspirations, nor the desire to raise to such a position again in the future. I have served as first officer on the Hanson for several years and while I very much enjoyed it, my current medical and physical situation will not allow for it. I am still adjusting to being blind, and I don't believe I should be left in charge of the bridge at any given time."
The vulcan's eyebrows arched in slight surprise as he listened to Commander Hope's statements. Clasping his hands together atop his desk he formulated his response, but paused for a moment as he felt she hadn't quite said everything she wanted to yet. He was either correct in his sensation or she felt compelled to speak further by his lack of immediate response, and he listenedly intently as she finished, "I don't mean to sound self-important captain.
Dipping his head in a slightly angled nod, again out of habit, Savot replied, "Very likely superior to mine I would surmise, Ms. Hope", using Ms. as the universal shorthand for a female officer rather than the prefix for an unmarried female. "And I applaud your willingness to self-assess accurately even if it may place you partially in an unfavorable light."
"I trust Starfleet Medical's judgement in declaring you fit for active duty with all the rights and priviledges of a Commander 1st Class, but I respect your wishes given the circumstances. It is also my practice to allow time for new officers to become more familiar with ship and crew before placing command responsibility upon them if at all possible, but I will also avoid placing it upon you until such time as you request to be actively considered for it", Savot was usually able to convey a certain level of warmth when applicable despite his vulcanness, and he put said ability into practice as he concluded, "However, if at any point a situation arises in which I believe the best interests of the El Salvador and her crew would be best served by giving you temporary command, I would not hesitate to do so with the same confidence I would place in any officer of equal experience."
Savot's countenance remained neutral as he finished, but he had gained a point of respect for the Romulan officer today, "Until then; however, I do hope you find your tour of duty as our Science Officer a fulfilling one. Was that all you wished to discuss?" The final question, rather than an impatient desire to end the dialogue, was a genuine inquiry to ensure his personnel got what they needed.

"No sir, that was all. Thank you for listening." Serenely and almost graceful, the Romulan officer rose to her feet and smoothly turned about-face on her heels, then walked from the office. Listening closely, she used the sounds around her to choose a clear path back to her station. Unfortunately, she misjudged once or twice and bumped her thigh hard into one of the command chairs and the railing that separated the command center from the rest of the bridge.
The silence that followed was even more deafening than the general chatter and she turned around. "I'm quite certain you have duties to attend to." Her voice rang clear and sound over the silent bridge, followed by even more silence. "I assume then that you're all not busy enough, perhaps I should ask the captain to create extra duties for you, if you can find the time to gawk at someone."
Nearby an ensign leaned in to another ensign, both station at one of the auxiliary controls. "How can she see we're staring at her?" he whispered, "she's blind, for crying out loud."
Reaching, S'reena grabbed the young officer by his collar, smiling as she heard him gulp in surprise. "I may be blind young man, but my hearing is rather acute. Therefor, the silence told me that you weren't paying attention to your duties. You're part of the science staff, aren't you?"
"Yes ma'am. Ensign Roderic O'Reilly, junior scientist." The r's rolled in his speech and his voice had a certain ring to it that the Romulan liked.
"Scottish?" she queried.
"Irish ma'am." Pride in his voice, so he had quite a rich history. Yes, voices could tell someone a lot about their character.
"Well then, Ensign Roderic O'Reilly from Ireland. Who's your talking buddy?" She nodded towards the person next to him.
Clearing his throat, the other junior spoke up. "Crewman first class Jeremy Rodriguez. I'm an engineer."
"Well then crewman, why don't you report back to engineering while I teach my stafmember to mind his scanners?" She listened as he scurried off the bridge, then bodily turned her scientist around to face his station. "Now you are going to tell me what you see on your screens," she instructed him, "and tell me what that high-pitched noise is. It's nearly hurting my ears."
"What noise ma'am?" O'Reilly questioned as he did as he was told.
"Upper band frequency," she ordered, "quite possibly outside your hearing range. Try a band between 20,000 and 50,000 Herz. I think it's just outside your range though."
Switching a few settings, Roderic did as he was told. "You're right!" he exclaimed. "But it's not noise, these are energy spikes."
"What sort of energy?"
"I don't know ma'am," the ensign replied, almost apologetic, but S'reena could hear his hands flying over his console. "It's on the planet below our probe, I'm trying to pinpoint the exact location, give me a minute."
The Romulan nodded in approval, then tapped her combadge. "Captain, please report to the bridge, we have found something."
O'Reilly nodded, a hint of pride in his eyes. "Yes, definitely energy spikes but I can't determine what they represent. They're close to a torpedo impact site, but that's all I can tell. The most recent impact that is."
"Good work ensign," S'reena told her science officer, slightly patting him on his shoulder before crossing the remaining distance to her own station. Around her, the bridge had regained it's original buzz of activity, much to her own relief.

He was trying not to laugh but he had a smile on his face, he had served under when he was in trainning and it seemed that even though she was blind she hadn't changed. In a way he felt sorry for the Ensign Commander Hope tug could be as sharp as her Romulan Honor blade.
He listend with interst which his gut was getting a bad feeling about energy spikes. There shouldn't be any this did not make sense. He decided not to jump to any conclusion until Commander Hope could figure out what may be causing it man made or natural. Still it was something to be alittle concerned about.
He walked over to tatical to start scanning for ships in the area to see if they might have anything to do with it. Still for what reason would you have energy spikes near a crater whats down there I wonder. He brought up the planets details there was nothing intersting that might explain it. " Commander Hope are these energy spike poseing any danger to the ship that you are aware of at this time?'' <Tag Hope>

John sat in his quarters, alone, consolidating his thoughts, the day had been mixed, the return of Wolf was fantastic, but there was a cloud that hung over it. He decide it was best to forget it and go do some work. Leaving his quarters he headed for a turbolift. The doors slide open, and he entered, the doors closing behind him like the jaws of a shark swallowing small fish.
"Deck one bridge" he said, in a flat voice. The turbo lift began its usually smooth journey up through the Prometheus class starship, and stopped at his destination.
John noticed Wolf stood at the tactical station, so he deiced to join him, see what he was up too.

Savot was still in the Ready Room when the call came through from Hope requesting his presence on the bridge, so he didn't have far to go. The doors whooshed open to allow him back into the command center where he saw Commander Hope standing over a junior officer at the science station. As the vulcan headed in their direction he also noted Wolf moving towards the tactical station, "Good to see you back in uniform Mr. Wolf."
Savot followed his greeting with a nod and moved to stand next to his science chief, clasping his hands behind him as he did so, "Status Commander?" The science duo explained the unexpected readings they were starting to pick up, and Savot's eyebrows arched upward in response, "Curious... all records indicate that system to be uninhabited, and to never have been otherwise."
He turned on his heel and moved to sit down at the center seat, calling up the data on his personal readouts as he began issuing orders, "Ms. Hope, run a sensor diagnostic to confirm an accurate readout then focus your scans on determining the source and type of the energy signature. Mr. Wolf, continue to monitor the Klingons and Hirogen for any signs that they've detected the same readings, but be discreet. I do not wish to alert them to the energy's presence if they are not so already."
He then activate intra-ship comms and addressed the ship over speakers, =^= Attention all personnel; senior officers are on standby until further notice. Be prepared to report to your stations if summoned. Savot out.=^= Savot didn't feel it necessary to have them report immediately as it was still possible the anamoly would not require a reaction on their part; however, he wanted them to be ready if they were needed.
Moments later the turbolift opened to reveal Roberts, and Savot made a mental note of the senior staff present as the security chief moved to join Wolf at tactical, "Assist Colonel Wolf with his scans please Mr. Roberts; he can fill you in."
The vulcan's eyes then returned to his readouts to keep an eye on the changing situation...

Hearing his captains orders " Understood sir already on it as now there to busy playing games with each other. I will let you know if that changes at all, but knowing those 2 its going to take awhile. They do love to fight which is a good thing for us right now."
He saw Roberts exit the turbo lift " Hey buddy hope your doing okay, Commander Hope detected energy spikes coming from a world that isn't suppose to have anything on it. Captain Savot wants to investigate but also wants to make sure our Friends out there doint join in. We need to keep a close eye on them and let him know if they head in our direction" <Tag Roberts>

John knew about the mind games being played by the two ships, although he hadn't been made aware of the energy spikes coming from the nearby uninhabited planet. "I have seen something like this before" he replied to Wolf, "But where?" he later added.
He genuinely didn't have a clue, and realized that was always a classic 'famous last words' line, and there was already this feeling about the place, although it still being somewhat relaxed, that something big was about to happen, a major catastrophe, John had come to expect this of the El Salvador B, no mission was ever the same, and no mission was ever boring, even if they did some times become tedious, trying to figure out a solution to a problem, but he loved a challenge, and he had a feeling, the one facing them, was to be a rather large challenge.

Turning over the station to Roberts who was better trained for it he walked over to the science station to see what Commander Hope was working on. She appeared to be busy even though she was blind she was working up a storm. He wondered for amoment how sharp her other sense were. He already knew her hearing was sharp but what about all the other sense.
He looked up at the view screen wondering what was going on down there and who was involved. He was also concerned with the other ship out there, sooner or later they were going to wonder what the El Sal was doing and come over and take a look.

(OOC: First just a note to clarify the situation for everyone. We are currently on the Federation side of the Fed-Cardassian border. The battling ships consist of 4 Klingon Birds of Prey and 1 Hirogen battleship. They, and the system of planets they're fighting in, are inside Cardassian space and as such they can't directly see us or what we're doing. We're seeing them through the probe we sent into the system to monitor their fight, so the only way they'd notice what we're doing is if they noticed that our probe was now focussing intently on the planet instead of their fight. Just wanted to paint a clear picture in case people we're on the same page, thanks.)
Savot examined the readings just as his crew were doing, though they continually re-routed the majority of the probe's scanning power back towards the battling ships to avoid drawing attention to the planet and its thus far inexplicable readings. As he stood behind the science station's seat, he nodded towards the screen's output as the computer zeroed in on an analysis, "The energy signature is... Breen. Curious."
He called up a topographical scan of the area surrounding the energy source and drew the attention of his senior officers to it, "The only known instances of Breen presence in Cardassian space are from the Dominion War. Assuming that period as a moment of impact for a crashed Breen vessel, an insufficient amount of time has passed for the soil buildup indicated to have formed naturally. Therefore, the logical alternative is that whatever is housing the energy signature was placed or constructed there intentionally and buried afterwards to avoid detection."
"Likewise, given the Federation's strict monitoring of Cardassian space following the end of the war, it is improbable a Breen presence could have entered and been secured without detection since then, nor would the Cardassians in general be predisposed toward aiding a Breen presence in their space as the Breen aided the Vorta in brutalizing their populace", the vulcan narrowed his eyes slightly as he looked back towards the viewscreen, though it showed only the star-flecked black of open space at present, "And if not after the war, it could only have been placed before it... or during."

S'reena could not see the image Savot had called up, but she could well imagine what it would look like, given the description he was giving. For once, she really appreciated how long-winded and detailed Vulcans could be when explaining something. However, what he said put her mind to work and she was already considering other alternatives that he apparently had not thought of. For now, however she remained quiet as it was obvious to her that the Vulcan wasn't finished just yet.
"Likewise, given the Federation's strict monitoring of Cardassian space following the end of the war, it is improbable a Breen presence could have entered and been secured without detection since then, nor would the Cardassians in general be predisposed toward aiding a Breen presence in their space as the Breen aided the Vorta in brutalizing their populace", the vulcan narrowed his eyes slightly as he looked back towards the view screen, though it showed only the star-flecked black of open space at present, "And if not after the war, it could only have been placed before it... or during."
“What if it has been there since long before the war?” S'reena suddenly asked, “and the Breen have always been here but hidden from us? What better place to hide, than in plain sight? Perhaps it isn't the Breen themselves, but their technology, used by people imprisoned or just voluntarily having joined their cause?”
It was, of course, a long shot but it wasn't a bad guess either. “Or people posing as Breen, indoctrinated from a young age. After all, we don't know what a Breen looks like under that refrigerator suit, do we? For all we know, there are Humans in there, or Vulcans, or any humanoid species you can think of.”
She turned around to face Savot, then 'glanced' from him to each and every other senior staff member present, guessing where they were stood along the way. “The Romulans have a practice of raiding starbases or colonies, eliminating the adults thereby allowing the children, usually young children to be rescued by alien forces. Among those children, a child of a noble House could be placed as part of revenge or even to humiliate them. Such a child would be rescued and possibly raised by a Vulcan family as the orphans were likely to be of Vulcanoid origin. A family could never claim the child back, and were forced to watch the child grow up hating them, or worse. What worse fate is there for your child to be raised as one of your enemy?”
The Romulan woman fell silent, realising that she too was now getting very long-winded. “It is an ancient practice, though not used much these days,” she added as though in afterthought, to defend her own people. “Either way, I believe we should take this possibility into account as well.”

Savot turned back from the viewscreen to observe his science officer as she spoke, and if it was his way he'd have worn a smile of satisfaction as he did so. S'reena Hope's dossier certainly didn't suggest an officer that would, pardon the pun, blindly agree with a senior's assessment of a situation; nevertheless it pleased the vulcan Captain that he could count on his Chief Science Officer to reserve her full loyalty to her field, and not necessarily a badge of rank. Savot withheld comment for the moment; however, as he sensed that her initial inquiries were merely the beginning.
The Romulan woman then fell silent for a moment, “It is an ancient practice, though not used much these days,” she added as though in afterthought, to defend her own people. “Either way, I believe we should take this possibility into account as well.”
Savot nodded wordlessly to himself at Hope's mention of the old practice of child theft and inclusion into an opposition's sphere of influence. He'd heard of several instances where noted rising members of vulcan society were discovered to in fact be of Romulan origin, and he recalled his inner disappointment at discovering that many of his people were not so far above bigotry and racial exclusion as they claimed to be. For the moment; however, his satisfaction over the current situation continued to win out.
"You are quite correct, Commander Hope. Any number of possibilities are still viable, and no good scientist arrives at a conclusion until all others have been exhausted to the best of their ability", Savot admitted to S'reena though he hoped the entire group had noted the point. "Ergo, we will require more evidence before we can formulate a more accurate hypothesis."
Turning to Roberts and Wolf the vulcan continued, "Do you gentlemen believe you could manage to land the probe on the planet surface in such a manner that it would appear to have done so due to a system's malfunction? If it lands intact we'll be able to scan the energy's source at closer proximity, and if not we'll still need to take a shuttlecraft to the surface to reclaim the wreckage in accordance with Prime Directive protocols involving as-yet unihabited planets."
Following the men's response Savot turned to S'reena once more, "Would you be willing to accompany the shuttle mission to investigate the site, Commander? Unless absolutely necessary I'll have to keep the El Salvador out of range so as not to risk interference in the Klingon-Hirogen exercise, but the Mini-Sal's systems should be adequate to the task." He'd had sufficient time to desensitize himself to the silliness of the shuttle's name, it having been retrieved by himself and then-First Officer Deis Irae approximately 4 years ago and was likewise named by said First Officer, so these days he managed to refer to it with nary a change of inflection.

"Mini-sal, sir?" the astonished Romulan replied, before quickly pulling herself together again. The prospect of an away mission sounded both terrifying but also intriguing. Yet, she had to do it at some point or she'd never get herself back on her original track. Besides, she used to love away missions, before her accident.
"Yes sir," she finally answered, after a moment of deliberation. "I'll join the away-team." She cradled the golden dragonette in her arms, then settled her on her shoulder, getting her to become accustomed to her new perch. This would be her first away-team since her accident, and truth to be told, she was somewhat nervous. "Captain, may I request an escort?" she finally asked, after a long, silent debate with herself.
Though alert towards the captain's answer, S'reena turned to 'face' Pride. "Commander, I believe you wanted to ask something earlier?" She'd been aware of him hovering reasonably close to her, as if he wanted to either offer advice or ask for help in return.

Looking at captain Savot " Sir I think we could make that happen not to mention it would appear normal to send a team to find a lost probe it would be a good cover Story. Also if Commander Hope needs a escort I would be more then willing to volunteer my services"<Tag Savot>
Looking over at Commander Hope " Yes Commander Im very interested in whats going on down there and what danger it may present to the ship and its captain. They are my primary concern especialy the captain" He knew Commander Hope would understand that concern he had never forgotten that Admiral Drew had been shot on his watch. He had never forgiven himself for that.

Commander Stacey Jackson slowly walked toward the turbolift, curiosity had got the better of her so she decided to make her way to the bridge. As she stepped inside she nodded a politely at the young crewman who was already standing in the turbolift.
Stacey was lost in thought and had not noticed she didn’t tell the computer where she wanted to go. The young man standing next to her said.
“Ma’am where are you headed?”
Stacey looked at him for a second before realizing that she had not yet said bridge.
“Oh yes.. Bridge.”
The turbolift sped upward toward the bridge first stopping at deck three where the young man got off.
As the turbolift opened again Stacey stood quietly for as second as she watched the scene on the bridge. Stacey walked up behind Commander Hope and the marine she had met earlier. They had not noticed her until she spoke up.
“Ghosts of the past hmm?”
Stacey had recognized the energy readings as Breen, those particular energy readings were not something she would forget, she had lost friends when the Breen attacked earth, and had it not been for an appointment in Paris she may have been one of the casualties herself.
Stacey had heard enough to know that S’reena was going down to the energy source to investigate

Looking up to see Commander Jackson walk on the to the bridge and he comment got his attention.
" Commander Jackson you have seen this reading before I would be very interested in what you might know. Not to mention if you have hands on experince in which case I would suggest you join the away mission. Knowledge is power and experience is wisdom which would be needed for this mission" <Tag Jackson>
Turning to face his captain " That is if its okay with you captain the more we know the better our chances are of finding out whats going on down there sir" <Tag Savot>

Stacey looked back to the sensor readout and was momentarily lost in a memory.
2375 – 4 Hours After Breen Attack On Starfleet Headquarters
The 33 year old Lieutenant junior grade Stacey Jackson stepped of the transporter padd in Starfleet headquarters her nose was immediately filled with the smell of smoke. Although the room she was in was in perfect shape the smell seemed to linger and the transporter chief’s eyes were red. Stacey immediately recognised the signs of heavy crying, the chief was a woman in her late thirty’s and if Stacey had the time she would have tried to comfort her.
Stacey ran her hand through her thick hair as she walked out of the room. As she entered the corridor the sight of people running down the corridor in both directions made her think just how much damage had been done. While Stacey has spent most of her career in Starfleet headquarters she found herself momentarily lost. It took her a few moments before she remembered the way to go.
After two minutes of navigating the corridors she found her way outside, and the image stunned her plumes of smoke still billowed out of the buildings that were hit. Stacey didn’t want to look but at the same time she couldn’t look away, Stacey shuddered to think how many people were killed or injured. She stood there for a moment before a familiar face walked up to her. Commander James Richards a friend she had known since her time in the academy, the look on his face was dire and filled with grief, it didn’t take Stacey long before she saw that the look of grief was more than the attack.
“Stacey… I just received preliminary reports on the casualtys… I am sorry to have to tell you that David was killed.”
Stacey stood still not saying anything, her face showed nothing until she looked at James and she broke into tears. She had feared that he had been hurt but she hadn’t let herself even think he was dead, she hadn’t let the thought of her fiancé dying cross her mind but now….
USS El Salvador present day
"Commander Jackson you have seen this reading before I would be very interested in what you might know. Not to mention if you have hands on experince in which case I would suggest you join the away mission. Knowledge is power and experience is wisdom which would be needed for this mission"
Stacey turned around and looked at him as she quickly wiped her eyes as she had felt tears welling up. She smiled a little as she said.
“I saw it a number of years ago after the Breen hit earth during the war with the Dominion.... I would be happy to join you… with the captains permission of course”

He felt sorry for asking her when she turned to face him, he saw the ghost in her eyes. He knew what that felt like he had more then his fair share of them. It wasn't easy to deal with it neve was thats why they had Counsellors on ship to help you deal with them.
He could never talk to one his ghost were classified by star fleet. He could unload his ghost he had to keep them in. He wondered if the Counsellor was the same way who do they go to he wondered who counsel the Counsellor he wondered.
" I think you would be a fine addition if the captain says its okay." he spoke more softly with the next thing he said " You Honor those who you lost and cared about by shedding a tear, its said with a tear those who have fallen are remembered in the great war camp and given a special place to enjoy there next adventure" <Tag Jackson>
Looking back at Captain Savot he was still concerned about the ship and its captain. Commander Hope had brought back a old ghost in him and he was going to have to deal with it. His only though was they would never know what happened to the assign. It was years later and she was up to no good again it was his first assignment with black ops they chose him on purpose and sucked him in when it was done. He hadn't killed her but she was in a place where she couldn't cause anymore problems for anyone again.
Strange thing about time loops takes along time to figure your in one.
