The dull featureless tower blocks veered skywards either side of him, and on down the street, it all framing the urban setting with a feel not too dissimilar from the older cities of Earth. Skyscrapers...
He was able to walk down the middle of the pathed way, it being free from any form of transport or indeed large quantities of people. There were some persons though, walking to and fro, mainly in straight lines as they made their way from one functional, utilitarian depot to the next.
As far as he could ascertain, this continent's distribution of goods was wholly state-controlled; all of it arrived, was processed, and passed out to the citizens through these depots - which lined the streets at fairly regular intervals. There never seemed to be a rush either, no desperate clamouring for sustenance. Indeed, he reckoned - by logical, simplistic thought - that everyone was fairly well fed and mostly satisfied.
All the lack of clamour - that which was part of the senior crewmembers' prediction - did make things difficult though. While he found he could walk into the building designated as the civic centre relatively unhindered, and with little fracasse, it would've been preferable if there'd been some commotion or the like, to obscure him from the more inquisitive guardians that kept watch outside.
"There, the desk in front of you, slightly to the left and at the end of this room. You want that one. Then go down the corridor on the left and it's the third or fourth door on the right."
The voice in his ear had been speaking to him almost non-stop for the last forty minutes, since he'd arrived on the surface, and when he wasn't in conversation with someone who was physically in front of him. It got aggravating after a while, and he'd almost struck his head on a wall to deactivate the device (just as he'd been thus instructed should something go wrong).
"You want this one here, just here.."
"Yes yes!" he snapped in reply, keeping his voice low and tactful as possible, despite the annoyance at having to respond to this troublesome 'warrior', as he'd been calling himself. The man had admitted to him, however, that his fighting days were long passed; Blakus doubted if he'd ever fought anyone.
"Don't antagonise this one, Commander..." the voice continued, "This is the most important step and we don't want to upset anyone, they live unstable enough lives as it is."
"They seem happy enough," he grumbled in reply, and then he entered the general sphere of the receptionist's attention. "Hello," he made a show of being cheerful towards her while appearing reasonably coy, "I need to be shown to suite number four, here's my identity chip." He passed a forged siliconate over the desk and awaited approval. Circumspectly, he found himself walking the corridor to the left thirty seconds later.
"Which door? Third, fourth?"
"Check the third first."
Sighing heavily, he resisted the heady temptation to kick the door down, pretending it was the warrior's stomach. Instead he dropped his fingers on the handle lightly, and then on the resounding click of the mechanism, gently pushed the door ajar. Featureless, grey, a window of lighter tint and only an unusual and quite large brown plant in the corner offered reassurance that he still had perception of colour. There was nothing of note inside; in particular, no desk present with the customary drawers that he'd half-expected to find. "There's nothing here," he said, "Going to next door.." He tutted so that the former-Qlani warrior could hear him, and stepped out of the room, moving swiftly to the fourth room along the passageway.
The door retracted slowly and - aside from the similar grey interior and open window blowing its flat dry breeze - there was definitely something afoot in this room. Three people were inside, one standing behind the table with the other two sitting at it. They all stopped, looked up. "Who are you? You aren't.."
Before the person could finish, Blakus revealed a hitherto unseen weapon and aimed it at the man's face; he fired the weapon, the force of the energy bolt forcing the victim back and out of the open window, blood spattering around its frame and across the floor in streaks of colour. Calmly he regarded the weapon in his hand, and adjusted it with his index finger to a lower setting. He quickly dispatched the other two people, then made a running jump out of the window, the already smashed glass breaking away and clinking to the ground in many shard-like pieces.
"Your man is dead, and I have the paper document!" He said to the voice, now on the run in a narrow and high-walled back alley. He glanced at the scrunched-up papyrus, gripped tightly in his hand, as he scampered cautiously into a side-alley.
[To be continued - just building up a bit of a Blakus adventure.. this leads to help for the Raven, I promise!]

.:.Jefferies Tubes.:.
Suru felt the ship fall out of warp quicker then she had expected and thus she fell forward slightly, but managed to catch her balance throwing her hands in front of her and catching the bulkhead. The blind woman smiled, though she had to be extra careful as she was carrying their unborn infant within her. However, now that she suspected that Shooku was not the same Andorian man she'd married she would stay away from sickbay.
The woman began to crawl away quickly down the tubes until she came to the far end where a ladderwell was located. Suru could do so much more damage to the ship, and it would make a great deal. However, she didn't want to make them completely defenseless. She began to climb up the ladder going nearly two decks before she had to stop. Being in the early stages of pregnancy meant that she would tire out more easily then before. Her endurance was affected, and thus she needed to find a safe place to sleep.
Suru went another couple decks before she was so exhausted that she could go no further. Now she was around deck nine or eight maybe. She crawled quietly in between several optical cables in a dark shadowy corner, and this was where she fell asleep.
.:.Sickbay.:.
Tol'lia felt his body being pushed forward they had stopped suddenly and it worried him slightly. He stood up and exitted the office into the main sickbay area, "Why have we stopped?" He breathed towards one of the female nurses. A human, and completely unaware of the true identity of the CMO.
"Seems there is a slight problem with the deflector dish."
"Oh, that's fresh..." He mumbled and crawled back inside the office. Catching her strange gaze out of the corner of his eye. First the First Chosen is killed on the bridge, and now the ship stopped because of difficulties in engineering. Tol'lia looked around trying to figure out what may go wrong next.
.:.Main Engineering.:.
Ensign Timothy Clark, a human engineering officer stood watching the panels and consoles before the warp core. The adrupt fallout from warp to impulse was a little too quick for the core to handle. The systems overloaded and the injector assembly began to fail. Clark tried to stop the flow from the injector into the warp core, but he was too late the damage though slight was done. The injector melted fusing itself to the warp core.
Power began to fail in more propulsion systems. Clark wasn't fast enough and the overload caused his panel to spark and shatter sending molten shards everywhere and throwing the young officer off his feet and through the air.
Another nearby crewman ran to the officer's aide he slammed his hand to his commbadge hard, "Medical emergency Main engineering!" Then in the next breath he said, "Engineering to Bridge the injector assembly just suffered a catastrophic meltdown. We managed to shut the system down, but the damage is done. We only have impulse until the repairs can be made."
<Tag Couak/Blakus>
.:.Sickbay.:.
Tol'lia heard the call over the intercom system and jumped to his feet. "Great..." He called out in anger as he charged into main sickbay, "Dispatch emergency medical team to engineering!" Within moments the medical team was gone, as the sickbay began to prepare for the injuries sustained by the crewmember.
Minutes later the Ensign was laying on a biobed with severe burns. "Quickly give me two cc's of Kelotane!" Luckily for Tol'lia he had studied up on some of Starfleet's medicinal items. He quickly treated the second and first degree burns with the kelotane. All that was left was to brace to sprained arm from when he was thrown backwards. That luckily didn't take too long...
.:.Promenade.:.
Shooku watched as a fourth person approached them, he was a ferengi. The fact that Shooku didn't exactly trust them seemed to matter little in the amount of desperation he was in at that moment.
"Capta ..... Whoa ..... Whats that I see, a promotion no less. This calls for a round of drinks."
"Gentlemen." Carl said, "Meet Queel ... Ferengi trader, exporter, bar owner, and general frauder of all he comes into contact with."
"I resent that Commodore." the Ferengi said grinning, pouring three tall glasses of liquid, "So ... To what do I owe the dubious pleasure ?"
Carl liked the Ferengi, even though he had needed to confiscate a large amount of 'cargo' some time back, making Queel a wanted man for a while, at least by his dissatisfied customers. But as usual he talked, bartered, bribed, his way out of the trouble and opened up this bar. Even though Queel professed to be the proverbial model citizen, he knew the man was still in business, and now Carl needed his services ...
"I need something, and I'm certain you are the man I need to see to get it." Queel was in the middle of making an innocent inquiry about their drinks when Torek continued, "I need one point five, no two point five kilograms, lets air on the side of having more and not needing it ...."
"What ? ... What is it you think I can get for you ?" the Ferengi said impatiently.
".......... Antimatter .........."
Will and Shooku had been eying the bars' clientele, making sure no-one was eavesdropping on their conversation. But Queel's outburst got their full attention.
"ANTIMATTER ... ARE YOU SERI ......" Carl grabbed the Ferengi's coat with one hand, slamming his other over the mans mouth.
"Nothing to see here." Will said, raising his hands, then nodding as people returned to their conversations ...
Shooku moved his antennae around when the ferengi shouted then was slammed headlong into the table. He sighed breathing a deep amount of relief when everyone looked away from them. For a second he thought all their plans had been ran down the sonic shower.
"Now." Carl said, slowly releasing the Ferengi, "About our antimatter." ..........
Shooku awaited the reply hoping for the best, but then again it was a Queel was a ferengi and they seemed to have their hands in a lot of different things. So though he was hopeful, and expecting little help, he remembered in the back of his mind that this was in fact a ferengi.
"I am most certain we can come to some sort of an agreement?" He whispered after Carl.

"Couak. If you ever issue commands in my place again, regardless of whether you're simply upholding our Starfleet command hierarchical structure, I will have you executed."
Before Couak could reply, the helmsman called their attention forward once again.
Couak stood by and listened as Blakus and the helmsman spoke. Blakus than turned to Couak.
"Take a team down to deflector shield control and the engine room; I want this problem fixed. Analyze the maintenance ports around engineering if you have to...." Blakus stood up, surveying the bridge. "I want this problem solved!"
"Yes, Superior." Couak replied as he stood and headed for the lift. "Thazous. You're with me. And bring a weapon. When we find who did this, they will regret what they did."
The two Qlani entered the lift and headed for Engineering. Couak finally felt like he would get a chance to rid the Qlani of some of these Starfleet pigs. He began barking orders as soon as they entered Engineering.
"WHAT HAPPENED TO THE DEFLECTOR SHIELD?" he screamed just as a med team ran passed into Engineering as well. They headed offer to one of the engineers that was laying on the floor and holding what looked like burns his face and arms.
"We're working on it now, sir." answered some lowly ensign. "So far it seems that the injector assembly just suffered a catastrophic meltdown. I was about to go down there and check it out."
"Fine. He'll escort you." Couak said as he nodded toward Thazous. "Report back as soon as possible." he whispered to Thazous. "I want whoever is responsible."
Thazous left with the young ensign and they made their way to the junction in question. When they reached the injector assembly, Thazous knew right away that it was sabotage.
"Sir. This looks as if.." began Thomas before he was interrupted.
"Don't worry about how it appears, Ensign. Just get it repaired right away and get back to Engineering." Thazous ordered.
Leaving the ensign to do the repair, Thazous continued up the crawl space in the opposite direction from which they came. The Qlani species was fortunate enough to have an acute sense of smell. Thazous was able to tell that someone had recently been there and he began tracing their scent.

Like Shooku, Will sat there as their CO and the Ferengi did their negotiating. With all his time in Starfleet, he had never been so nervous. He just knew that the traders outburst did not go unnoticed. He continuously kept his eyes moving, watching for any trouble.
He briefly stopped for a moment as Shooku leaned over and whispered to Queel. For some reason, Will didn't think the trader could come through for them and it was making him even more angry than he already was. While they were being led around like a leashed animal, the Raven was getting further and further away.
"Why don't we take this somewhere a little more private?" Will suggested. "After that outburst, we're sure to have listeners. And the last thing we need is someone else getting in our way."
<Tag all>
They all got up and headed out with Torek leading the way. They made their way to a public conference room on the base and once inside, Will locked the door.
"Now let's get down to some serious business." Will started. "No games. Simple answer. Yes or no. Can. You. Get. Us. what. We. Need?" Will said as he punctuated every word by poking the little alien in his chest.
"I. I. I'm sure I can. It will just take me some time." Queel stammered.
"Time is one thing we don't have." Will challenged before turning to his CO. "Sir. I'm to the point where I'm just ready to take any ship available. Even if it's the Liberty." he said, referring to the Starfleet vessel still docked at the starbase.

"Why don't we take this somewhere a little more private ?" Will suggested, "After that outburst, we're sure to have listeners ... The last thing we need is someone else getting in our way."
Carl agreed, and headed for one of the empty 'conference' rooms Queel kept available ... After taking a seat he let his Second Officer continue pressing the Ferengi, while he sat silently watching the bar owner, hopefully giving the impression that he was ready to jump out of his seat and throttle the little man at any moment.
"Sir." Will said, frustration beginning to show, "I'm to the point where I'm just ready to take any ship available. Even if it's the Liberty."
The USS Liberty had been held back from the search because she was assigned humanitarian duties. She was going to be evacuating several hundred Federation personnel from a medical research and development facility on an unstable planetoid ... Queel knew this and was a little surprised at Jamison's suggestion that they could take it ... He stood, pointing to the corner of the room before taking out a communicator ... Moments later he returned to the table.
"Nice bluff Commander, commendable attempt, but you are dealing with the Ferengi, so please don't insult me." he said, taking his seat, then facing Torek, "I have an 'associate' who may have what you need. He is on his way here."
~~~~~~~~~~
The thirty minute wait was less than amiable, but eventually the door opened and a large male entered .. Everyone, apart from Queel himself were surprised at the man. The Corvallen were mercenaries first, second, and possibly third. They were ruthless in the extreme !
He looked at each man in turn before turning to Queel.
"By my presence ... My DEBT to you Ferengi is now concluded." Queel looked as if he was about to be massacred before the whole group, but with true Ferengi style, stood tall and stared the killer down.
"You two can finish your lovers 'tiff' later." Torek said, earning a look of hatred from the newcomer, which he chose to completely ignore, "I want the anti-matter and I want it now Queel. If your 'friend' here cannot provide it then I hope he enjoys Federation prison food."
The Corvallen's reaction was instant ! .. He slammed a fist into the table, punching a hole through the ornate surface. But he stopped moving as he felt the tip of a phaser rest gently against his temple .....
"THIS ... Is how you conduct negotiations !" he hissed.
Carl lifted his hand a fraction off the table, and after exerting a gram more pressure on the Corvallen's temple, Will removed the weapon. Slowly, very slowly, he sat down, the business end of the phaser never leaving it's target until he finally settled into his seat, then he lowered it to the table, but well within reach.
"Maybe we got off on the wrong foot here." Carl said, a wry grin forming, "Let's settle down and see if we can come to a suitable arrangement ... Queel, I think you need to order in refreshments." Carl said, then waited while the man complied.
The Corvallen looked at the phaser, then at Queel ..
"Ferengi. I suggest you get your affairs in order."
Carl grinned at the expression on Queel's face as they waited for their drinks ..........
The events of the last hours passed by in a blur. Lezari had lost the only leader she had ever known to someone who didn’t agree with his ideals. She was angry. At this point, all she could do was watch for anything to go wrong with the department she had been put in charge of.
As she waited for something to go wrong, she looked around at the crew on the bridge. She looked at each station, her gaze encompassing the entire bridge and finally resting on the Qlani in the center seat. He was rather attractive, but she couldn’t help but wonder whether he deserved to be there. Couak was too rash and did not know the meaning of leadership. This Qlani was different, but Lezai would need more time to see what she thought.
Lezari’s gaze caught Blakus’. He walked over to her, obviously wanting to say something. "Lezari, is it? No, do not worry," he threw, seeing the concern on her face, "I just need to know one thing... Whatever loyalty you held for Alemet, I shared. And now I ask that you follow me as you would've followed him, just as I would be doing now if he were still alive. When the time comes for me to end Couak's challenge, I would have you on my side."
If she hadn’t have been living a dangerous life for this long, she would have melted then and there. His voice was soothing and she could sense a bit of hesitant sincerity. For now she would wait. She simply said, “I will do my best.”
Miesha felt a stinging sensation over her entire body. It was painful and not something she had ever felt before. She heard beeping and voices in the distance. She then felt a cold push on her neck. She recognized the feeling. Slowly, the pain subsided and her vision began to return. She was in a sickbay that she did not recognize. Miesha tried to sit up. The nurse came over and caught her as she went limp. She gathered up strength and fully sat up straight. “Where am I?”
The nurse said, “you are in sickbay on the Starbase. You have been unconscious for quite a while.”
Miesha was lightheaded, but feeling began to return all throughout her body. “What happened?”
“You were knocked unconscious by a poison. It paralyzed you and you were no doubt in a lot of pain.”
Miesha’s thoughts immediately turned to her crew. “Where is Captain Torek and my crew? I want to speak with them.”
“We will inform the commodore you have come around.” Commodore?....
"Ferengi. I suggest you get your affairs in order."
Carl grinned, the Corvallan were almost psychotic in their approach to what they did best, almost sacrificing reality to attain their goals, but then Carl could be a hard [word deleted] too ..
"So ... Sorry, I didn't get your name." he said to the man glowering at Queel.
"My name is of no concern to you Earth man ! ..... You have requested a commodity which I am about to provide. Payment will be through this Brel'ck here." he said, stabbing a finger at the unsettled Ferengi.
Moments later the door opened and another Corvallen whispered to the first.
"Your purchase will be delivered in four hours to the location of your choice." Torek pushed a data chip containing the dock allocation of the K'talmk toward the Corvallen mercenary, who simply handed it to his underling, "I do not need to warn you Federation ! ... Do not make any attempt to track my vessel as we depart. To do so would incite our full retribution. Payment will be collected one hour prior to delivery. THIS is not a point of negotiation."
The Corvallen's left the room, leaving everyone in silence.
"You really do have some warm and friendly, friends Queel." Torek said getting up. Will and Shooku following suit, "I wouldn't disappoint the man if I were you."
"What about payment !" Queel shouted in horror, almost suffering a coronary as the Federation Officers began to leave.
"You had better ensure you have the funds, should we be a little late in getting the latinum to the bar." Carl said, leaving the Ferengi shaking.
Outside Carl stood thinking for a moment ... Frankly, he didn't care what the Corvallen did to Queel, though he knew that wasn't strictly true. He had gone to him as a last resort but should he be put out of business, it wouldn't hurt, and Queel would bounce back, should he still be among the living that was.
"I'm going to the Medical Center." Torek said, "Get over to the K'talmk and oversee the installation of the antimatter ... I know S'vok will be throwing her weight about and protesting her role as acting Commanding Officer while her Father is otherwise engaged, but don't let he rule the roost, and more so don't let her kill you for trying to take over OK."
Leaving Shooku and Will, Carl headed for a turbo-lift ...
< tag: Will / Shooku >
~~~~~~~~~~
Entering the Medical Center, Carl headed for the reception area. The nurse saw him coming and was ready to greet him.
"Commodore. We were about to contact you ... You have come to see the remaining crew. Please follow me."
She took him to a ward that had been set aside for the Raven Officers only. He entered and was surprised that there was almost fifty people in there. He nodded to each that was awake until he found the only one left of his missing Senior Staff.
"Lieutenant. How are you feeling ?" he asked his Science Officer.
"Capt ..... Commodore ...... Congratulations on the promotion. I'm ready to go whenever these Doctors allow." Miesha replied.
"OK ... Get your discharge sorted out. We will be departing the Station soon. We have 'acquired' the use of a ship, the K'talmk. Report there as soon as you can."
"Sir."
Carl nodded then left the Med Center. He needed to speak to H'zul, his Klingon friend and the man allowing his ship to be used. Carl knew Security wouldn't release the man, so he needed his blessing to take the ship despite the obvious and possibly violent reaction from his Executive Officer and Daughter ..........

"I'm afraid to ask what kind of condition they are even in, though I have never been on board a Bird of Prey in a real situation. In the Guard we raided one during a simulation when I was in basic training. So I kind of know my way around given that Andoria has the current specs."

Suru only stirred when she felt a presense though the distance was still a good bit. She looked down the service shaft blindly finding an exit to the jefferies tubes and taking it quietly. Now she was in some passageway that seemed nearly deserted looking around she realized that she was close to Stellar Cartography. She quickly walked towards the entrance and closed her unseeing eyes there was only one person inside.
She entered quietly they didn't notice her presence and she hid in the corner. Then she telepathically read their mind she smiled to herself this person had not been corrupted like the imposter doctor who was not her husband. She stood and approached them, "Hey..you.." She whispered.
Ensign Natalee Jules turned she was one of the navigation officers standing watch inside the stellar cartography lab. Every so often a Navigation Officer would be in there because they were required to know as much about the subject as the science officers on board. "Suru?" She asked Natalee knew her as the wife of the Doctor.
Suru nodded. "There are intruders on board..." She said quietly.
"What do you mean by that?" She whispered.
"I mean that the command staff on board are imposters my husband didn't know that I was pregnant when I told him this before the ship left the star base. He never forgets these things." Suru could see the surprise on her face. "I managed to sabatoge some of the systems, but it won't last long."
The ensign nodded, "We can lock out some of the main computer making it nearly impossible for them to access the Stellar Charts. But, I do not know what good that will do."
"Do it then we must find some way to convince some tactical officers of this."
"Alright." She said and quickly jammed the console in front of her. Causing the computer to lock out the Stellar Charts due to a malfunction. "Now to make sure they cannot unlock the charts." She pulled the cover to the console off and severed the connection to the computer the console blinked off...
Bendai heard a strange beep as his console locked up. He looked down at it angerily pressing it over and over again the stellar cartography options had been locked out. Essentially they would be flying blind in anything higher then half impulse power. "First Chosen, the system just locked out we are now flying blind according the computer someone just locked out the Star Charts for the ship. I am no longer able to access them and the computer cannot process it. It is calling it a malfunction.

Blakus nodded with understanding at Lezari, feeling conflicting emotions. The seriousness of his words, combined conversely with his natural apartheid in favour of the male warrior-caste, made for a confusing situation. This obviously physically appealing if unsure Qlani woman was, oddly, creating something of a schism. "The time will come when I'll need your protection. Make sure you are ready," he stated.
<Tag Lezari>
He turned from the science officer and her station, only relaxing once his back was turned and he was again facing the darkness of the viewscreen. The new Superior barely had enough time to return to the command chair when there was a new comm message.
"Engineering to Bridge the injector assembly just suffered a catastrophic meltdown. We managed to shut the system down, but the damage is done. We only have impulse until the repairs can be made."
Blakus responded quickly before his rage overtook him, partly because he couldn't tell if this person was a Qlani impostor or not, "Copy that, engineering... Get on repairs immediately." Calling up Blakus's good engineering knowledge, he had a rough idea of how long a period would be required for repair, and it was not good. "And tell everyone down there that if they don't start performing I will reprimand every one of them in the extreme!"
<Tag Shooku - Ensign Timothy Clark>
As the channel closed, the new Superior stood from his seat, restless with the energy of rage. His abrupt scream rented the bridge's tense air, and with great effort, he proceeded to tear the unoccupied counselor's chair from its fixings. While the whole bridge consisted of Qlani - as was sensible - it was still an unusual event to observe. The ashen faced Blakus hurled the heavy chair at the nearby wall, it rebounding off with a heavy clatter.
"Get back to work!" he yelled, seeing the tentative glares of some of the crew. Command was unbearable, he decided, his mind working a quick process of deduction he'd been forming a theory on for the last thirty minutes. Could he continue to guide this brute of a Federation vessel, when danger and misfortune happened upon him at every turn? Might it be he couldn't withstand the pressure, and the loaded possibility of perceived failure that went along with it? Under Alemet he had maintained a measured cool, but under these, the metallic struts of a space-roaming god, he was but a pawn, forever to be tormented by fate.
"First Chosen, the system just locked out we are now flying blind according the computer someone just locked out the Star Charts for the ship. I am no longer able to access them and the computer cannot process it. It is calling it a malfunction."
"Divert power to the long range sensors," he replied, growing numb to it all now. "If we can manually scan our surroundings to a greater distance we can maintain a decent impulse speed with less risk. As for when - if! - we regain warp, I will need those star charts."
He struck his arm-panel to open a channel. "Commander Jamison... Couak! This is the Superior. We have now had two malfunctions; it is clear to me as it should be to you that we've a saboteur somewhere on this accursed vessel. I want them found!" his breath came in short bursts, "Start from engineering and work your way outwards; use everyone at your disposal! And have our warriors lead the line..."
<Tag Couak-Jamison & Suru>
He turned to the rest of the bridge, acutely aware that all his words were those of a warrior under great duress; he was growing unstable, he could see it and he was conscious of it, and he'd accordingly have to tighten up. Lest the same fate befall him as befell the late Alemet.

Will was finally feeling as if they were getting some where after their meeting with the Corvallen's. And he almost, ALMOST felt bad for the Ferengi.
As the CO left for the medical facilities, he turned to the medical officer who began talking.
"I want to see what the medical bay on board the Klingon ship looks like. I'm afraid to ask what kind of condition they are even in, though I have never been on board a Bird of Prey in a real situation. In the Guard we raided one during a simulation when I was in basic training. So I kind of know my way around given that Andoria has the current specs."
"Sounds good." Will replied. "I'd like to see the security and defenses myself."
The two Starfleet officers made their way to the vessel.
"You feel comfortable enough to go to sickbay alone or would you rather stick together?" Will asked, wanting to check out the bridge as soon as possible.
<Tag Shooku>
Filling a new respect for the brave, young Andorian that was now headed to Sickbay, Will turned and entered a lift.
"Bridge." he ordered.
When the lift halted and the doors opened, Will stepped out and got only two steps before he was confronted by a Klingon officer. He immediately began remembering everything his friend Tel'peh from the Academy told him about Klingon culture.
"What are you doing on our ship?" challenged the Klingon.
Will stilled himself for the confrontation and gave his answer with the authority that he knew would either get him the respect of the Klingon or get him killed.
"It's of no concern to you, targ. Now take me to your Commander."
The Klingon took a step toward Will and he quickly took a defensive stance when a female voice, filled with authority, stopped the alien in his tracks.
" ta' ghobe'". said S'vok, who than changed to standard English. "I really do not think you could handle him, K'nor."
As the male Klingon sulked off as if someone had just taken his ice cream cone, she turned her attention to Will.
"Now, Commander Jamison was it?" she said more as a statement than question. "Your presence here does concern me. What is the reason for this visit?"
Seeing as the Commodore had enlisted the help of the Klingons, Will saw no reason to keep secrets.
"Commodore Torek was able to get the anti matter we needed. It will be delivered shortly. We came aboard to...."
"We?" interrupted S'vok.
"Oh. I forgot to mention that our CMO came aboard with me." Will informed her.
"The Andorian!" she exclaimed. "Where is he?"
"He was headed for your medical facilities." Will said.
Without another word. S'vok turned and flipped on what Will assumed to be an inter ship intercom and and rattled of some Klingon that he wasn't quite able to follow what was being said. All Will could do was hope that it wasn't bad news for Shooku. When S'vok turned to face him once again, she must have recognized the look of worry on his face.
"All is well, Commander. I just told some of my people to locate the Andorian and to be sure to escort him to where he needed to go and that he had safe passage."
"Thank you." Will said. "Your hospitality is appreciated."
"Klingons are not hospitable." she snarled. "Now what can I do for you?"
"I would appreciate a look at your weapons and defense systems." Will told the Sub Commander.
"I bet you would." she said return. Than after a brief silence, she added with what passed with the equivalent of a Klingon smile, "That was a joke, Commander. Follow me."
She than turned and began walking across the bridge to the security station. Will followed.
************************************
Thazous had tracked the scent for almost 15 minutes when he lost it in a junction that must have been used all the time because he could not pick it up from all the other scents. As he made a decision on which way to go, he suddenly felt a sudden change in the way the ship was running. He quickly began making his way back to Engineering. To Couak.
*************************
Couak was still in Engineering when more problems began happening with the ship.
"Commander Jamison... Couak! This is the Superior. We have now had two malfunctions; it is clear to me as it should be to you that we've a saboteur somewhere on this accursed vessel. I want them found! Start from engineering and work your way outwards; use everyone at your disposal! And have our warriors lead the line..."
"Yes, Superior." Couak spat. As much as he hated Malnar and had no doubt that one day, one of them would kill the other, he knew they had to work together for now. "But not today." Couak thought. "At least for now, we seem to be on the same page with getting this war started."
Couak was just about to call for Thazous when he heard the doors part and saw him walk in.
"Delik. It seems we have more problems with the ship. I want you to coordinate teams with the right people leading them and find me the person or persons responsible for the sabotage."
"Yes, Commander." Thazous replied, slipping back into character as if he had been Delik all his life. "It shall be done."
Leaving Thazous to handle things in Engineering, Couak headed back for the bridge. He had been able to hear the stress in Malnars voice. Couak thought that it might possibly be time to remove another leader.

Major Lana Baslone/Zefr'n. Marine Commander. USS Raven-B ...
She walked the corridors of the ship. It was tedious, but then it was expected ... Her contingent were following orders, they were securing anyone not authorized to be wandering the corridors. It was now well into the tenth hour of their assigned task, and frankly she was getting annoyed at the obvious inactivity in their mission. Checking that her underlings were doing as ordered, she had headed for the Bridge of the vessel ...
On entering from the turbo-lift, she was both shocked and disgusted at what she witnessed. Their 'so-called' leader, was throwing furniture around the Bridge as if it was the norm. Zefr'n watched the scene play out in silence. Then, when Malmar finally settled into a form of calm less likely to inflict mortal damage, he sat down. Lana / Zefr'n watched the man in silence until he glared at the newcomer ..
"You have a question !" Blakus said, making it a statement.
Zefr'n knew that all eyes were upon her, but it made do difference. She glared at the one in charge, then stepped in front of him in a show of total defiance. Malmar had a fraction of a second to think she may just challenge him outright, but this woman was more 'subtle' than that. She looked at the man sat in the Captains' seat, then took a long long time to make eye contact with every individual on the Bridge before making eye contact with Malmar / Blakus ... It suddenly dawned on everyone present, including Malmar, that this woman was part of the Qlox .....
The Qlox were the equivalent of the secret service, and were well known for their ruthless brutality. So it was astonishing that this woman was standing over their Superior without making any move to dispatch the man.
"Did destroying the furniture ease your troubled thoughts ?" she asked quietly.
< tag: Blakus/Malmar >
"I have no intention of taking over your assigned task Malmar ... But it is more than evident that factions are forming on this vessel. You need to take action, or we will find ourselves at each others' throats. We do not want that ...... Do we ...... You are in no doubt as to my affiliation. But you are in Command. Do not allow me the necessity to doubt your reliance in this task. We have, as you are aware, staked our very existence on this war. We will settle scores on our way, but the war is our goal !" Glancing round the Bridge, she made sure that everyone present knew the full extent of their mission .. Satisfied, Lana headed for the turbo-lift.
As the doors closed, she wondered if it would be necessary to make an example of the Superior ..........

Thus far Suru had managed to avoid being caught though she knew that her time was probably numbered anyway having done a great deal of damage wasn't enough for her. She looked at Natalee quietly wieghing their options, "Internal communications and internal sensors?"
Ensign Jules smiled wryly, "Blind and deaf I like your taste." She replied then caught herself, "Sorry..."
The Aenarian smiled, "I am blind yes, but I am not deaf so your good. Besides where I am blind I am able to see with the inner portions of my mind. I can read other's thoughts remember that Nat."
The other woman smiled, "We need to find a way to engineering without running into one of their patrols."
Suru nodded, "Yes, by now I know they are looking for us, but that shouldn't be too difficult we will need bait."
Natalee was deep in thought, "Agreed, I think only the senior staff has been replaced."
Suru nodded, "So let us move out, we shall make our way through the jefferies tubes. Once we are close enough to another person I can transfer some images into their heads. Few Aenarians can do it, I'm one of the lucky ones."
Natalee smiled nodding, "Alright let's go then." She followed the pregnant woman back into the tubes from the Cartography area towards engineering stopping every so often.
** Suru expanded on her senses as they became closer to engineering she paused sitting up. There were several lifesigns outside in the passageway she could sense them all. She closed her unseeing eyes digging deeply into one of their minds. He was a tactical officer, and perfect for her goal. She began to speak inwardly to the man...
Lieutenant Junior Grade Dennis O'Shea was walking along when suddenly strange thoughts began to push into his head. The Irish man with auburn colored hair looked around suddenly he was confused and dazed. He seen Commander Jamison, and he pointed, "Intruders! INTRUDER!" He squealed causing three others to look towards him.
<Tag Couak>
Jamison was walking by as O'Shea drew his hand phaser and he began to open fire before flinging himself against the bulkhead. "INTRUDER! Computer intruder alert deck thirty six, main engineering!" He called out when the intruder alarms started wailing loudly.
<Tag Couak>
O'Shea began firing off random shots one of which struck a nearby engineering Petty Officer Third Class. He had set the setting to maximum then continued to fire off random shots mostly aiming towards Jamison, but in his confused state he was misfiring for the most part.
Suru smiled with her eyes closed, "Got him." She replied and nodded keeping herself focused on the security officer. Because if she had her concentration broken she would no longer be pressing confusing images into the man's mind.
Natalee watched as she turned seeing that the optical cables to the internal sensors and communications were right there. She took out a pair of cutters and began to tear it apart after removing the cover. Next in order to throw them off she rewired it, but it was jumbled and confusing.
.:.Main Engineering.:.
"And tell everyone down there that if they don't start performing I -"
Ensign Clark got about half the reply before it was suddenly cut off. "Oh what now..." He turned to one of the PO3's standing by the console, "What is going on now?"
"Internal communications have been severed, we also lost internal sensors we are blind..."
Clark snarled angerily, "Fix it NOW!" He ordered and stormed over to another console. Someone was tearing the ship apart, and he knew that it was not good...[/color] ============================================= "You feel comfortable enough to go to sickbay alone or would you rather stick together?" Will asked, wanting to check out the bridge as soon as possible."I think I have an idea, thanks for the offer though." He went his own way as he watched Will make his way towards what should be the bridge. He made his way towards where sickbay should have been when three large klingons made their way towards the Doctor, "Yes?" The andorian asked looking between them. "We have been ordered to escort you to sickbay Andorian!"Shooku nodded, "Alright thank you." He replied, "Lead the way!" He stated plainly, and within moments the four of them made it to the sickbay. He looked around it was a lot different then any ship he had ever been on board. Lucky for him he had three Klingons to show him around. And, the Klingon doctor walked in after a moment. He knew that they didn't get too much training because they really didn't have the same view on lives in times of battle. But, that made little difference because soon they would be getting into a fight. One he was proud to be involved in. NPC:
Major Lana Baslone/Zefr'n. Marine Commander. USS Raven-B ...
She had intended to go to her quarters, but due to all the so-called 'issues' the ship was suddenly suffering, she decided to take a tour of the ship. Tapping her Comm badge she contacted the four Marines that had been cloned to ensure security on the ship.
=^= I am heading for Engineering .. Begin a sweep of the ship .. I want anyone not authorized to be out of their quarters detained for questioning =^=
Her men knew of her possible affiliation with the Qlox, so didn't question her orders.
Stepping out of the turbo-lift on deck thirty six, she first noticed the commotion, then less than a second later, the phaser fire. She didn't worry about the fact the ship should have began an alert at the first shot. With what was happening she would have been more surprised if it had done ... Moving forward slowly, she edged around the curve of the hull until she noticed a man with his back to her. He was yelling about intruders and firing at someone out of her line of sight. Lifting a warning finger to her lips to silence the woman who was about to speak, she began to edge toward the man holding the phaser ... When she was less than two meters away, she looked at his apparent targets. Seeing Couak she almost slowed her advance, she wasn't concerned at the prospect of another 'annoyance' being dispatched. But others had seen her, and her possible delay could be noticed.
As the man lifted the phaser again, she punched him below the armpit, impacting the axillary nerve cluster the man immediately lost motor function down that side of his body, and the phaser dropped from his grasp. Before he could react, she landed a blow to his carotid artery, the effect immediate, as the man fell to the deck unconscious !
Without giving the fallen man a first, let alone second look, she stepped over him and glared at Couak.
"Do I need to nursemaid ALL of you through this mission !"
< tag: Couak >
"You should watch how you speak in my presence MISTER Jamison." Zef'rn said, using the man's Federation name, a look of pure menace showing it's presence in her eyes, "You may well need my help 'again' one day soon. Remember that !"
Without waiting for a reply, she turned on her heels and walked away. She was conscious of the fact that several phasers were currently pointing at her back, but it didn't bother her in the least ...
'Let them think they are allowing me to live' she thought with nothing but disdain ..........

Leaving the Medical Center, Carl made his way down to the detention area ..
"I'm here to speak to Captain H'zul." he said to the Security Officer.
"I've been instruc ......" the woman began, before seeing the look on the Commodore's face, "Holding cell four Commodore." she said, removing the force field to allow him access ... Carl walked to the assigned cell and grinned at the man sat on the bed. He noticed the fact that the mattress had been thrown on the floor and the Klingon was resting on the bed only.
"Never one for creature comforts." Torek said.
"I wondered when you would arrive to release me." H'zul said without opening his eyes.
They won't let you out H'zul. You are being detained on numerous charges ....." Carl elaborated on his friends' detainment, then told him exactly why he needed the K'talmk, "So all I need from you is your order to S'vok to give me Command."
The Klingon looked at Torek finally, and it was a look of disdain. He knew he owed the Human a favor, but he always thought it would be repaid on his terms, not at the Federations bidding. He seemed to think the issue through before grinning.
"I will need access to a Comm link to issue orders to my Daughter. But let us get one thing straight. She will NEVER relinquish Command to you, or anyone, while she has a heart beat. I will instruct her to allow you to 'suggest' a course of action. She will accept nothing more !"
Carl thought about it for a moment before nodding. He turned to the Security Officer.
"Drop the shield." he ordered, agreeing with the terms.
The Security officer knew it was going to be pointless to quote regulations, so she did as ordered. Carl entered the cell and handed H'zul his Comm badge. The Klingon looked at Torek for a second before activating the device ..
=^= Captain H'zul to IRW K'talmk =^=
=^= Centurion Rvnk Captain =^=
=^= Patch me through to my Daughter =^=
=^= My Captain =^= S'vok said after a second.
=^= Ghu'H Daq thlhap Duj ...... =^=
=^= ENGLISH KLINGON =^= the Security officer barked.
=^= I will not be allowed to leave the Federation cells .. You are to cede Command to Commodore Torek and his Officers for the duration of this .. Situation .. Is that understood ? =^=
There was a long, maybe too long, delay until S'vok confirmed her Fathers' orders.
"You have the use of my vessel Torek .... But I feel this should be the end of our, involvement, together. I will ask you return my Daughter to me alive ... My ship, I have misgivings about, but it would be memorable to have the old war horse back."
"I will return both Captain ... You have my word." Carl said. Then knowing the meeting was over, he left the cell, nodding to the Security Officer who re-instated the force-field.
"Commodore ... The ship I care little for ... My Daughter is another matter ... Bring her back to me alive, or there will be no corner of the know universe you will be safe from my retribution."
Carl nodded to the Klingon, then, without a second glance, left the Brig ..........

“Lieutenant, good to have you back with us. How are you feeling?” Jamison asked.
“I’ll live,” Miesha said, looking around rather disgustedly. “Commander, might I ask what we are doing here?” she asked with a slight hint of disdain, which earned a growl from the Klingon who escorted her.
“We’ll tell you everything when the Commodore arrives. I’m going to send you down to Shooku. He might need some assistance.” He nodded at the Klingon, who grabbed Miesha again and forcibly escorted her off the bridge.
Miesha had expected to be taken to sickbay, since that was where Shooku no doubt was. She, however, found herself led to a more “residential” section of the ship. It was unlikely the sickbay was in this part of the ship. “Where are you taking me?” Miesha asked as they abruptly stopped at a door. The klingon only smiled with his sharp, gritty teeth as he opened the door and threw her inside. “What the hell is this?” she demanded.
The Klingon responded by backhanding her across the face, sending her flying against the wall of the shared room. The force of the blow knocked the wind out of her and she fell to the floor. She lifted her hand to her face, feeling the warm blood come out the side of her mouth. Miesha looked up at the Klingon. He was grinning mischievously. Is he…? The Klingon stood for a moment before he advanced, started crawling on the ground and reached at her. Just before he made contact, she whirled out of the way and brought her foot towards his head. She kick with such a surprising force that he went sprawling backwards, hitting his head on the floor with blood now oozing from his mouth. He wiped it away, still donning the devilish grin. He is… He had to initiating a mating ritual, otherwise he would have killed her by now. The Klingon wasn’t completely ugly; she would have to get over the teeth though. He stood up to face her. Miesha advanced on him. She kicked him in the stomach and uppercut him in the chin. It was enough to knock him off balance. She lunged at him and they both fell on the bed that was behind him. She kissed the Klingon with such force that he nearly exhaled his entire lung capacity in order to get her away. For just a moment his body went limp. Noticing this, Miesha took the opportunity and grabbed hold of his armor, thus of his whole body, and whipped down to the side of the bed and onto the ground. By holding on to him, Miesha gained enough force to hurl him at one of the other beds. His legs and torso went through the bunk but his head caught the upper bed and flung it down, hitting the lower bed. Neither was very soft. He lay on the floor, motionless. Miesha peered around the bed, looking at the heap of unconscious targ that now lay on the floor. “So that was Klingon sex! I could get used to that!” She took the opportunity and headed out the door.
After twenty minutes of searching, she finally came across Sickbay, where Shooku was. As she entered Shooku looked up. “Lieutenant, what happened to you?” He obviously noticed her bruises and bloody face, not to mention her disheveled hair.
“Well, I have successfully mated with a Klingon male. He is unconscious in his little room.” The Klingons in the Sickbay looked at her, obviously in shock. She looked at them and growled, “Leave us.” They all left the room. “Well, what do you think, Doctor?” she asked mischievously.

Doctor Ahlan continued to work in silence trying to account for all the things he would need, "This outta be -" Lieutenant Franklin walked in, he knew she was the last to awake. Now she was covered in bruises and blood. “Lieutenant, what happened to you?” He asked quite confused.

After watching the Klingons, now completely hurt, left the small sickbay. A small smirk on his face appeared, "I am unaware of how Klingon's mate, but I presumed that it would be something like this..."
<Tag Franklin>
Shooku looked at her, "Please sit on the bed." Once she was sitting he began cleaning the blood that was oozing from her small scrapes. "There now to patch up your bruises." He said and began to treat them next they would still be visible when he finished, but not nearly as swollen. He grabbed a spare hypospray that he had brought with him. "Now I am going to draw some blood Miesha to test it..."
<Tag Franklin>
After he drew the blood he stepped back, "This will not take long, please remain seated here." He said and went back into the back office in order to run the tests.

After watching the Klingons, now completely hurt, left the small sickbay. A small smirk on his face appeared, "I am unaware of how Klingon's mate, but I presumed that it would be something like this..."
Miesha returned the smirk. "Actually it was rather stimulating. I highly recommend it!" she added excitedly, though obviously sarcastic.
"No Doctor, I didn't actu...." it was too late. He had already begun.
After he drew the blood he stepped back, "This will not take long, please remain seated here." He said and went back into the back office in order to run the tests.
"Great....now I am sitting on medical bed for no reason..." Miesha swung her legs back and forth, knowing full well there wasn't going to be anything resulting from the tests. After a few minutes, the Doctor came back out and gave her the results. "No pathogens or toxic elements."
Miesha raised her eyebrow. "I could have told you that. We didn't actually mate. As soon as we dropped on the bed, I twisted and hurled him into a wall. Most of the blood on me is probably his." Now all cleaned up, she stood. "So Commander Jamison sent me down here. Anything I can help with, other than writing a dissertation on Klingon mating rituals?"

Couak was still in Engineering trying to help solve the malfunctions that were popping up all over the ship. It seemed like every time something got repaired, something else broke. He had just turned to yell at a couple of Ensigns when one of them began yelling himself.
"Intruders! INTRUDER!"
Couak than realized that the man was pointing at him and before he could respond, the human with the bright red hair and funny accent produced a phaser and took aim.
"INTRUDER! Computer intruder alert deck thirty six, main engineering!"
Couak dove behind a computer station as he began yelling his own orders.
"Security to Engineering, NOW!!!" he screamed.
"On our.....", was about all the reply he received before he heard another Ensign call out.....
"Internal communications have been severed, we also lost internal sensors we are blind..."
"Great!" Couak thought. "This damn ship is falling apart and I'm trapped behind a console with some idiot firing at me."
A few seconds later, Couak dared to stick his head up just enough to try and spot his assailant and was just in time to see Zef'rn deliver a blow to his attacker and disable him.
He stood up and turned to two other engineer officers.
"Get him to the brig! Now!" he told them. Before he could turn his attention back to the problems now plaguing their mission, Zef'rn began shouting at him.
"Do I need to nursemaid ALL of you through this mission !"
"Hold your tongue, woman. Lest you end up like our last leader." Couak replied.
"You should watch how you speak in my presence MISTER Jamison. You may well need my help 'again' one day soon. Remember that !"
Before he could say another word, she turned and was gone.
"Blianth!" Couak muttered under his breathe. He would deal with her later. Right now, he had a ship to repair.
"Get the internal sensors and comm up, NOW!!!" he barked. I want to be talking to the bridge in 60 seconds."
He quickly heard a chorus of "Aye, sirs.", and turned to be sure everyone was busy making repairs. *************************************
"Commander, what is going on? Why are we on this bucket of bolts?"
“Lieutenant, good to have you back with us. How are you feeling?” Will asked.
“I’ll live. Commander, might I ask what we are doing here?”
“We’ll tell you everything when the Commodore arrives. I’m going to send you down to Shooku. He might need some assistance.”
Will nodded at the Klingon, who grabbed Miesha again and forcibly escorted her off the bridge.
Will turned his attention back to the bridge just in time to hear conversation between the Klingon captain and his daughter. He could see the disdain in her face and knew that his was gonna be a long mission.
"Four Starfleet officers and Klingon crew on a Bird of Prey. Could this get any more insane?" Will muttered with a grin. He looked up again to see the female Klingon staring at him.
"Does something amuse you, human?" she inquired.
"If you only knew, hun. If you only knew." replied Will.
He than walked over to the security station to continue familiarizing himself with it while they awaited Commodore Toreks arrival.

Suru smiled hearing all the commotion outside shortly after they had managed to do some more damage. Next she led Natalee towards the bridge. It was a long hike and being pregnant did not make it any easier.

NPC:
Major Lana Baslone/Zefr'n. Marine Commander. USS Raven-B ...
Entering her quarters, she disrobed as she walked toward the bathroom. Turning on the shower, and feeling the temperature of the water for a few seconds before satisfied it was hot enough, she stepped in ... Zaf'rn wasn't accustomed to 'real' water, as her home-world used only sonics.
The soap-filled water was soothing against her body, and she could feel herself relaxing, tension, worries, concerns, all seemed to evaporate into nothingness as the water traversed her body ... Reaching out, she picked up the exotically perfumed soap that had been given to her as a gift some years ago. She carried it with her always, the aroma reminding her of the valley she had spent her early years in.
Soaping her firm, lathe honed body. Starting at her shoulders, traveling downward to her chest, then abdomen, moving slowly, enjoying, no, savoring every second the expensive soap was on her skin ... Reaching her toes, she lingered there for a second, then she retracted the frosted glass screen. The blade entered the mans throat less than a centimeter, but it wasn't the depth of the thrust, but the positioning. The man, shocked by his discovery, dropped the phaser in agony as he fell to the floor, the naked Zef'rn sat herself astride the paralyzed would-be assassin and grinned.
You had to admire the man. He locked eye's with his 'former' target and resisted the obvious temptation to wander from there, despite the obvious pleasure he would have gained from panning his eye's up and down the womans' body. But somehow, now wasn't the time ...
"Who ?" she asked simply. Inching the wafer-thin blade deeper into the mans neck, he suddenly lost all sensation from his waste down, and began to shake uncontrollably, "Someone sent you to, kill, me ... I would like for you to divulge your employer to me ... Please !"
She knew exactly where the tip of the blade rested. It was between the C3 and C4 vertebrae.
"Answer me." she whispered.
"May Kr ......." was as far as he got as she pushed the blade a single centimeter further. The man died instantly .....
Taking the blade from the mans neck, she stood, feet astride the corpse, water dripping from her body. She wiped the blood from the weapon then turned to sit it back in it's rightful place ..
Eyes not leaving the dead man, she spoke.
"Computer ... Site to site transport .. Authorization Baslone Alpha Omega Two Two Delta ... Transport the body at my feet to the Bridge !"
Within a second the corpse had vanished ...... Satisfied she had sent the appropriate reply, she returned to her shower, anticipating a very sensual experience ..........

The minutes grew ever eternal as Lezari sat waiting for something to happen. Being in the back of the bridge, she could do virtually whatever she wanted without anyone noticing. At first, she just twirled around in her chair. It was a rather boring pastime and she eventually stopped. As more and more things went wrong on the ship, she rather enjoyed watching everyone else cringe at the sight of the new superior. She rather thought he was a much more calm Q’lani, unlike almost all of the others. Obviously he was devious, as all Q’lani were, but he was also intelligent, saving his strength for a later time rather than exhibit everything all at once. She was much the same. Even though she had not herself have to kill anyone, Lezari had an unusual lust for power. She knew that now that Alemet was dead, anyone and everyone had a right to take over, not just the new superior and not even just Couak. She had the same right and perhaps soon she would step forward for that rite of passage. For now, she would bide her time.
Blakus stood up. “I am leaving the bridge. Lezari is in charge while I am away.” He turned to Lezari. “Should anyone disobey your authority, kill them.”
This was an interesting move. Lezari stood up and took the center seat. She wondered if, had Alemet been alive, if she would have been in this position. Probably not. She remembered back to her first mission with Alemet. They went to infiltrate an outpost that had some sort of new technological development. It was supposed to turn the tide of the war. Before they could get it, they were captured and subsequently tortured. It had made her stronger, no doubt. And perhaps strong enough to retaliate.
“What is our current position?” she asked.
“We are on heading 212…”
“What is the nearest star system?” she interrupted.
“The Hazrid system. Two planets. One inhabited.”
The Hazrid system. That was the location of the outpost. Fairly dislocated from the rest of the nearby stars, the system proved to be an effective scientific laboratory that allowed scientists to research with relative peace, though there was a significant military, or rather private security, presence on site. As they were not supportive of the Q’lani, Lezari decided to have a little fun. “Set course for the inhabited planet. Now!” As they came into orbit, she said, “Target the main settlement, and fire a spread of torpedoes.” She smiled devilishly. The Q’lani at tactical hesitated. Lezari looked in his direction. “Is there something you don’t understand?”
“I just don’t see why we need to attack this settlement. Why are we not…” the phaser blast hit him before he had time to react. Lezari holstered the phaser she had shot the officer with and pointed at an officer standing against the wall, somewhat shocked by what happened. “Let’s go…”
He walked up to the station and targeted the settlement. As the torpedoes fired, they flew down to their destination and erupted in a brilliant flash.
“Life signs?”
“There is a small group on the nearby mountain. It appears as though they are climbing it.”
Lezari smiled. “Target phasers and fire a volley beneath them.” The officer complied and the mountain disintegrated beneath the destructive power. She could only imagine how far those people were falling and tumbling to their deaths. They deserved it. Each and every one of them.
As she sat back in her chair, a transport suddenly beamed a corpse onto the bridge. “What is the meaning of this?!” she yelled.

Arriving at the birth holding the Klingon Bird of Prey, Carl headed for the walkway. But as he approached a aged Klingon stepped in his path. Torek had the distinct feeling that the man may actually be spoiling for a fight ... Carl measured his stride but didn't slow. He looked the Klingon in the eyes, never breaking contact. As he got within a meter he stopped, the Klingon grinning down at him.
"Move !" Carl said. Making it an unmistakable order, "You know who I am, now move aside or I will be forced to 'assist' you Klingon." The man, for all his need to rip the Human in two, decided to yield. There would be plenty of opportunities later ... Torek entered the ship and headed for the Bridge. For all the guards bravado, he had had the sense to radio the Commodore's presence to the rest of the crew. As he neared the doors to the Bridge itself they opened.
"S'vok ... nuqneH."
"nuqneH." the Klingon woman said after a moment, "As per my Fathers' request, we will speak only English for the duration of your .. Visit."
"That is appreciated S'vok." Carl said, bowing his head a fraction in respect, "You have spoken to your Father then. He has informed you of our needs."
"Your NEEDS are of no concern to me Human. We have neither the time nor inclination to pamper to you 'Human' requirements. You will eat, sleep, LIVE the Klingon way of life while aboard the K'talmk. Is that understood !"
Carl grinned.
"Yes, it is totally understood. Your cargo bay is being stocked with provisions for our trip as we speak. I have also requisitioned mattresses for my Officers. Yours in turn will be expected to double-up while we're on board." Carl could see the woman reaching boiling point, and was somehow enjoying her situation, "That takes care of eating and sleeping ... Now ... The matter of ultimate Command !"
"I alone in my Fathers' absence will Command this ship. If I need to disregard his orders on THIS POINT ... THEN I WILL ... Be assured of that !" she began, her voice rising with every syllable.
"You will remain in Command of the K'talmk S'vok, there is no need for threats." Torek said quietly, but his eye's took on a sharp determined look suddenly, "But in matters pertaining to my reasons for being aboard your ship I will make the final decision. If you wish to visit your Father to speak to him face to face, Security have been told to expect you ... But either way you WILL cede to my orders at all times ... Is THAT understood !"
There was a long long silence before it was interrupted by a base Engineer.
"Commodore ... Captain S'vok. The antimatter has been Incorporated into the warp drive and calibrated. You will be lucky to get more than warp six out of her and then she may well fall apart in the attempt."
Carl stepped between the irate Klingon and the goading Engineer, fearing the first death be his.
"Have you men depart the K'talmk within the hour." S'vok said darkly.
The Engineer nodded, trying hard not to swallow his tongue, and headed away. Carl grinned at the seething woman before him.
"Well, now that's all cleared up how about showing me to my quarters. H'zul was kind enough to offer his own for the duration of our stay. Not like he's going to be needed them though, is it."
"Do not push me too far Human. You have a hold over my Father ... That is not the same for ME !"
With that she spun on her heel and marched away from the Bridge entrance, grinning, Carl followed. 'Off to a good start at least' he thought, a wry grin forming ..........

The insolent Blianth... She will pay for this desecration to my honour, with her own tainted blood. Malnar thought it again, the number of times he had now run the insult of the Qlox female through his head quite innumerable. He twiddled a Starfleet PADD stylus in his fingers, seeing it as a calming mechanism and by its use forcing his mind to relax into its ground state, its tickover.
"We just lost internal sensors, and internal communications," the helmsman reported quietly. It was a statement delivered without drama, and the reaction it evoked was in no way proportionate.
"What the hell is going on?!!" No amount of swearing and abrasive cursing could satisfy the sense of pure rage that so enveloped him. As seen from the bridge's staff, his limitless tirades were becoming quite ridiculous, and very predictable in a pitiable kind of way. Malnar hated that.
After eventually trailing off in once more simmering anger, Blakus managed to find again the command chair. Sitting, he immediately found the chair would just not sit comfortably with him, and after a further few minutes, he found he had to stand. Even through the red of his vision, there was enough lucidity to let him experiment with his next move. "I am leaving the bridge. Lezari is in charge while I'm away. Should anyone disobey your authority," he said to her, "Kill them."
Being technologically blinded and made mute aboard a starship was not a pleasant happenstance to have occurred. That, in addition to the loss of star chart data and the three-day fix period for the warp drive, made finding this saboteur an absolute, and very immediate, must.
He reached an intersection, and was almost but not quite glad to see Couak and his retinue of warriors (disguised as Starfleet security) standing there, debating and figuring out the next move. The initial feeling of positive neutrality quickly dissipating, Blakus felt an ever increasing peril. He shouldn't have come here alone...
He came to stand a fair distance from Couak, about to speak, but first a junior crewmember came hurrying along. Holding a quick exchange with Couak's group, he then moved past them to a maintenance panel, from which sprouted in a confusing tangle, myriad wires all cut and fused.
"Jamison," Malnar said quietly, maintaining cover while moving closer to the CTSO, armed with the knowledge that to try something now would be folly - a real crewmember was right there. "If you have sense, use the sensors on these scanners and scan for non-Qlani. We know how to differentiate between our cloned forms and real humans, so do so. Any in the area; close them down and eliminate them."
<Tag Couak (OOC: Suru; the net will now be well and truly closing! Do your worst, Will!)>
Half an hour later, back on the bridge...
"Lezari; what the paeka have you been doing?!"
The woman Qlani turned quickly, but he was only slightly aware of it. Instead he was watching the viewscreen, it showing a close-up of a planet; mountainous features with rising dust and spewing rubble. He glanced at the tactical station, seeing the phaser bank relays were warm from recent discharge. "Why are you blowing up rocks?" he inquired.
<Tag Miesha - Lezari>
Lezari stepped aside and revealed what lay beyond her. Understanding hit Blakus, and with his head level, he peered down at the form of the dead Qlani assassin, displaying nothing. Thoughts reeled, a thunderous bell peeled; all in his head. As earlier, when he had been shown the body of Superior Alemet, his mind was bubbling with an intense fury that was barely contained. Failure...
Wordlessly he skipped into the central chair, virtually kicking Lezari out of the way. He had no more for the science officer, just wanting to put the thought of Lezari having had her Raven joyride far behind him. He studied and worked the armpanel controls. "Viewscreen off," he snapped without occasion, continued working the panel.
It had reached time where more action was required. And less mindless anger and violence, he thought lightly, as he went into the personnel roster and its list of respective crew quarters arrayed next to the names.
Next he leapt up to one of the rear consoles, shoving a semi-senior staff member - a Qlani - out of the way; he didn't care if the man had been performing something important. He accessed the life support systems, and, locating the appropriate quarters as pertaining to the person registered as Major Lana Baslone, cut all life support to the quarters and sealed the room's door.
<Tag Torek - Zefr'n>
At first he contained his grin, but it was inevitable that it found its way to his face, so he just let it come. It was all he could do not to 'dust his hands off' as he turned from the console, in what would be a rather human gesture. Taking his command chair again, there was a loud alert sound. Dark thoughts enveloped him, but it turned out to be a subspace alert text-only message, from a ten light years distant star system. Ah... he thought, They've got the ACI [acceleration corridor inducer] ready now..
"Couak," he called over the comm, with the voice of someone tired yet full of sneering arrogance. "Might you have caught our intruder? My patience wears thin."
<Tag Couak>
"Come and sit, Lezari," he offered the science officer the first officer's chair (hers for the time being). "Observe if you would, the ambition and daring of the coming conquest," he swept his hand, gesturing towards the panoramic view of the stars now restored on the viewscreen, My conquest... he said internally. He leant to Lezari and whispered; "I want you to scan ahead of us intensively, and when we get internal sensors back, keep a firm set of eyes intraship also. Any movement off the bridge that suggests people are moving to oust me, I need your warning. And more.."
<Tag Lezari>
Soon, he mused - with thoughts murderous, fantasies of victory entering his head - they would be hopping to the Vamax faster than many could've imagined. His hand rhythmically tapped the arm panel, his face settled in a smug visage of confidence; might force of will be winning the day?

Suru had finally made it to the Jefferies tubes just outside the bridge. She grinned looking towards Natalee, "I sense a nearby group of tactical officers, and some marines. I can affect them from here." She closed her eyes for a moment reaching out with her mind instantly many images would press into their minds. It seemed as though this time she wasn't confusing them instead she somehow made them believe the bridge was in danger...
Lieutenant Mal'Ra and his group were looking at each other, "The bridge is in danger!" He said loudly and they moved inside as the turbolift opened upon the bridge. "Open fire!" He shouted as four marines and three tactical officers including himself took cover and began to open fire upon the bridge team taking down one of the nearby engineers regardless who he was...
Natalee opened a panel seeing it was the direct power couplings to the bridge she smiled. Quickly she cut the lines ripping them apart. Power to weapons, shields, and total helm control were lost. The lights on the bridge would flicker then go out. She grabbed hold of a phaser she had brought with her and waited knowing that they would be discovered eventually...

NPC:
Major Lana Baslone/Zefr'n. Marine Commander. USS Raven-B ...
She watched the body disappear, then returned to her shower ... Setting the 'real' water jets to maximum pressure and increasing the temperature until it almost burned, she savored the feeling as the room filled with steam. Minutes passed as the water pressure massaged her muscles, but soon the steam was getting overpowering and she was forced to lower the temperature ... Frowning, she was puzzled, she was finding it difficult to breathe, not too difficult, but worrying all the same, she turned off the shower completely, stepping out and picking up a robe she entered the living area. It was harder to breathe now and she moved to the door. She was shocked when it refused to open.
"Computer .. Open the door to ...." she suddenly felt dizzy and nauseous, sure signs of oxygen deprivation, "Open this door NOW !"
"Unable to comply ... Room has been sealed." the computer replied.
Then it dawned on Zefr'n what was happening. She moved to the bedroom, her weapon was on top of her discarded uniform. She looked through the draws at the side of the bed, her breathing becoming labored now, but she found what she was looking for and quickly adjusted the settings. Satisfied, she quickly donned the uniform trousers then placed the object against the door .. Almost at the point of passing out, she activated the device ... A low whine began, increasing in volume and intensity by the second.
"Com .. puter ... Emergency site to site tra ...nsport ... My location .. to ... Bridge ..."
"Unable to comp ..." the ship began, as Lana watched the device closely.
"Site to Si .. te Transport ... Now !"
The phaser, set on overload, reached it's termination point. Lana knew she was too late, and the phaser exploded ... She actually saw the immense white light as the phaser began to destroy not only itself, but a substantial part of the deck above and below her quarters. Her mind resigned itself to her demise. She was frankly ,almost to the point of outright laughter as she found herself stood topless less than two meters from the Command area. The phaser she had taken from her uniform was pointing directly at the back of Malmar's head ......
~~~~~~~~~~
"...... keep a firm set of eyes intra-ship also. Any movement off the bridge that suggests people are moving to oust me, I need your warning. And more ......" he paused as the duty Tactical Officer shouted the fact there had been an explosive decompression on deck eight, then Lezari 's eyes widened in surprise.
Turning in the direction of her stare he was admittedly surprised at what confronted him.
The weapon was less than a meter from his temple, and Malmar could clearly see the red 'maximum' setting ... He looked past the business end of the weapon, showing more composure than he admittedly felt, to the person wielding it.
"It is about time I introduced myself." Zefr'n said, casually ignoring her semi nakedness, "I am a member of the Qlox. I assume you had suspected as much, considering your, reaction to my previous action ......" she said with a wry smile. She could kill this man, but needed him to see this venture to it's required conclusion. So before he could reply, she lowered her phaser, turning it deftly in her hand then offering it to Malmar. It could be a gesture that would see her killed with her own weapon, but then, the man had no way of knowing if 'she' was the only Qlox operative on board, and her death, despite the obvious setback, would must certainly ensure his untimely death, "Soooo ..." she finished, in no hurry to cover her chest ..........
Couak was quickly growing very tired of the saboteur and of Malmar. He was just on the verge of grabbing the next person, be it friend or foe, that happened past him, and twist that persons neck off. His prey was in route when his comm badge signaled a incoming page.
"Commander Jamison." came Thazous voice. "We have the saboteurs trapped near the bridge. Awaiting your orders, sir"
"Saboteurs?" inquired Couak. "How many are there?"
"Our scans are picking up to life forms in the room, sir."
"Very well. I'm on my way." answered Couak who began barking orders once again as he was leaving Engineering.
"Ensign Turner. When I return, everything had better be repaired and in working order."
Couak didn't even hear the fright in the young womans voice as she attempted an "aye, sir." because the doors were already closing behind him.
A few moments later, Couak was standing next to the security team that Thazous had been leading.
"Report." he ordered.
"Two life signs, sir. One is a human female. Bio readings show her as a Starfleet officer. The second is an Aenarian female that is with child. The Ravens records have her listed as the spouse of the Chief Medical Officer."
"With child?" Couak said, slightly amazed. "Are you telling me that all this trouble was being made by a pregnant woman and we couldn't find and stop her?" Couak was screaming at the top of his proverbial lungs now. "Storm the damn room. Terminate the Starfleet officer and escort the other one to the brig. I will be there to interrogate her myself just as soon as I inform Malmar of the situation."
Without waiting for a response, Couak stormed off to the nearest turbolift and rode it to the bridge. He would report in and than go to the brig and force the Aenarian woman to reveal all that had been done to the ship. As the doors parted, Couak was stopped in his tracks when he saw a half naked female on the bridge with Malmar pointing a phaser at her.
With a smirk that said it wouldn't be much longer now, he looked Malmar in the eyes and spoke.
"My forgiveness, Superior. I did not realize that you were entertaining. And in such a public fashion."
********************************
Will had been standing at Tactical during the exchange between his commander and the Klingon woman. Had this been a different time and place, Will would have almost felt sorry for her. Almost. Right now, he more important matters at hand. Once this mission was over, than he would think about his attraction to S'vok. He smiled to himself for thinking that he was attracted to a Klingon. Tel'peh* would laugh at such a notion. He quickly returned his attention to the readouts on the console. He was picking up the readings fairly easy and if what he was reading was correct, they had no where near enough fire power to go up against the Raven should it come to that.
