"Lezari, what are those ships moving towards us?" Malnar said panickly, studying the console with so much concentration it was giving him a headache. The thought of it made him frown, which in turn only made it worse. This headache was of sudden and surprising intensity, and as he looked, the readings on the screen in front of him seemed to make less and less sense, as if he was unlearning what was unnaturally implanted into him.
"D'veq raiders, Superior," Lezari explained tersely from the battle bridge.
"There's too many of them. Plot an evasive course and slow us down to warp three." He felt the ship slow around him as his second in command Lezari - and the 'assistants' he'd provided her - manipulated the Stardrive into following his orders. Not for a moment did it occur to Malnar that the D'veq had anything else than hostile intention, and luckily this time, he was right.
"Drop us out of warp; plot attack vectors in conjunction with the evasive action," he demanded through the comm, and wished and did not wish he was up there on the battle bridge with Lezari. It was true, he admitted, he wanted to be at the forefront of things, where he'd have more of a direct hand on the action; but down here - in his secluded space next to the hard thrumming warp core (which was somehow tranquil in its relentless, frantic matter-energy conversion) - he was secure from the prying eyes of those who would depose him.
* * *
Less than an hour later the last of the D'veq ships were eliminated. The last few had been dogged in their self-preservation, but they were eventually removed. Malnar liked to think it was his personal fury and thirst for vengeance that had given the D'veq their final death kiss; he'd had Lezari ram the prow of the Stardrive into the final one, which was already broken and crippled from brutal rakings of phaser fire.
He left hundreds of dead D'veq people in his wake as the Raven's most powerful section stormed on to the objective - the one that would cause him much renown amongst his people, and hopefully deliver him a sector to do with what he pleased. The battered, slowed but victorious craft sped now in a direct line for the Vamax homeworld's orbit. Slowly, the planet grew from a grey indistinguishable dot, to a grey-orange globe that appeared pure as marble.
Now, in that craft the doors to the battle bridge slid open. There, silhouetted against the seemingly luminous background of dazzling white, stood Malnar. He felt resplendent in the pride of what he was about to do. At least, he mused.... the thought trailed off. He sighed as the doors parted fully. Nagging doubts persisted but they were unseeable; crushing thoughts made to squander the illusions of greatness; paranoia drove a stake through everything, as if underpinning his designs with some dreadful promise.
"There is a change of plan," he said to Lezari, striding on to the battle bridge, "Forget about targetting ships; they're only collateral." He displaced her in the centre seat. "In fifteen minutes when we're in a high orbit, I want hundreds of torpedoes launched at the Vamax homeworld. Make sure the warheads are loaded to maximum yield and target all the major cities. Keep firing until we've exhausted all but twenty of the torpedoes, we'll need them for defence."
There was a perceptible pause, and through the enveloping cloudy haze Malnar did see this one thing lucidly: "Is there issue with my orders?" he asked quietly, glancing around at his subordinates. Then, without a word the Qlani at tactical started loading the torpedoes into the tubes. Lezari was as silent and neutral as a stone - or so it seemed.
<Tag Lezari>
In the smog of consciousness, Malnar regarded his armpanel. The display's figures and graphics made no sense to him, instead seeming to rearrange into odd glyph characters. What's happening? he tried to think the thought with conviction but failed.
He who would start a war, he who would be master... He who wouldn't so much start a war, as decimate one side of it in a fell swoop. One city would be enough, but to annihilate the planet's inhabitants wouldn't likely spark any sort of conflict. Surely it would only insert the Tvozi as the dominant power. No one on the battle bridge made a move to stop him. Not yet...

.:.Sickbay.:.
Shooku had watched as the Commodore seemed to walk away still sensing the sadness the man felt he turned back to the remains of Galla. The Andorian felt his antennae twitch a little bit before he set to work. Carefully he began the facial reconstruction thanks to twenty fourth century medical advances even someone who didn't do this regularly could perform it.
He carefully removed the most heavily damaged tissue from her facial structure. This took a great amount of focus and effort so that he didn't remove anything that hadn't been damaged. After about an hour and a half of working on that he had removed the burnt tissue from her face. Leaving mostly scar tissue, and such on her face. He would then begin to replicate skin tissue lucky for him the replicator in sickbay was capable of replicating Terran skin tissue. He perfected its skin tone and began to blend it to the woman's face. And, after another two hours he had completed this task. Quietly he finished the remainder of the task, then once more covered the body and slid it back into the freezing unit.
After his work he decided to go back into the small office for the medical officer. Once inside he touched his communicator, "Doctor Ahlan to Commodore Torek, I have completed the work on Ms. Galla." He said somberly. With that he sat down behind the desk and began to quietly think and hope that the same fate hadn't reached his wife, and their unborn child...

OOC: Moving this forward a little.
IC:
NPC:
Major Lana Baslone/Zefr'n. Marine Commander. USS Raven-B ...
Zefr'n sat quietly as they watched the tactical display on screen. Multiple D'veq ships attacked the drive section in wave after wave. She grinned as she imagined Malmar's frustration. But then as they saw the Federation vessel drop from warp things changed. The D'veq ships were being decimated, all but a handful of damaged, crippled ships were left, and the drive section began her steady trek toward the Q'lani Home world.
The Klingon vessel was still closing the distance between both sections and it was now obvious that they would not catch Malmar. Suddenly Thazous looked at his Superior with fear in his eyes as the Comm came to life ...
"Superior ... We are being contacted. "
"Malmar ?" Couak asked.
"No Superior." Thazous said, daring a glance at the Q'lox killer, "It is ... The Klingon vessel in pursuit."
"Really ... Let us hear what these Klingon's have to say ... Open communication."
=^= This is Commodore Carl Torek .. You have my ship .. You are ordered to come to a complete stop and remain on station .. We are trying to contact the drive section to relay the same orders =^=
"Can we do it from this distance ?" Torek whispered to Will at what passed for the Science Staiion, who nodded silently.
=^= I think not Commodore .. I think you fail to realize we are much superior to your vessel .. I suggest you remove yourself from this sys ...... =^=
Couak fell silent as everything went dark for a second before emergency lighting activated, it was obvious that all power had been lost.
=^= You no longer have power for engines weapons or life support .. You will surrender my vessel immediately =^=
=^= You would murder your own people .. Women .... Children =^=
=^= To prevent you from carrying out your objective .. Yes ...... I would =^=
Carl hoped the bluff was solid, because he didn't want calling on it. Especially as his Daughter was still in their hands. He turned to listen to a comment off-screen.
=^= I doubt you would be willing to watch your Daughter perish Commodore .. Especially as you have so recently lost your Wife =^= Zefr'n said almost grinning.
"Captain." one of the Klingon's addressing S'vok said suddenly, "The other section has changed course. It is now heading directly for an orbit above the fourth planet in this system."
"The Tvozi home world." S'vok said, looking at Torek, "They must be planning a direct attack ... Interesting." she finished, admiration almost showing on her face.
Zefr'n watched the screen as the Klingon ship approached, but then she began to frown as it seemed the old Bird of Prey was not slowing. In fact it looked to be increasing speed as it first neared, then passed the saucer section at warp. 'What the hell are they doing ?' she thought, her mind racing ... But then it became obvious. They were going after the drive section, and she wondered if Malmar would fall for the same ruse as they had ...
On board the drive section there was a perceptible pause ...
"Is there issue with my orders ?" he asked quietly, glancing around at his subordinates. Then, without a word the Qlani at tactical started loading the torpedoes into the tubes. Lezari was as silent and neutral as a stone - or so it seemed, then ...
"Superior ... The Klingon vessel is requesting dialog."
"Ignore them." Malmar said instantly.
"Beg forgiveness most Superior." the man said, fearing his life would end in the next few seconds, "They are entering range and are locking weapons."
Malmar and Lazari looked at each other ..........

"Beg forgiveness most Superior. They are entering range and are locking weapons."
"Oh, fine! Bring us out of warp." Malnar shuffled in his seat restlessly, trying to feel comfortable and in control. He knew the battle bridge was smaller than the main bridge, and he could not get out of his head the thought the command seat was smaller too. Hardly a place to be carrying out the annihilation of a planet from.
The tactical controller had shrunk back slightly, cowering under Malnar's outburst. The Superior's temper was as large as it was unpredictable. With a look at Lezari, he nodded to the Qlani at tactical, "Put them on screen then." He leered at the screen as the people appeared; now what did this meddlesome Klingon commander want?
Before he could even consciously register that the person on screen wasn't a Klingon, the whole vessel around him shook. He felt the artificial gravity force himself downwards as it fought to compensate the sudden explosive shock below. The stardrive section's duranium chassis shuddered, and briefly the people within felt like animals trapped in a cage, in danger of being pulped under the sudden stresses...
The viewscreen flickered and slowly came back to life. "Hmph, Captain," Malnar said. Now his attention was back on the screen, he was momentarily surprised at the person he saw.. of course, he looked like Alemet, in the late Superior's most recent guise - now his guise in death. "I don't suppose I have to ask you what you want?"
"You will stand down," Carl Torek said, "You have taken possession of the USS Raven which is the property of the United Federation of Planets. And you are about to commit a genocide that might well start a war."
"I know," Malnar smiled, toying with a stray lock of unkempt hair. His confidence, while there, was tempered by uncertainty. He still didn't know what had caused the seeming explosion below-deck, his concentration broken by this idiotic Captain who thought he could reclaim his long ceded ship.
"I cannot allow you to do that," Torek said matter-of-factly.
He was looking around at his controllers for some idea as to what had happened, but they seemed unwilling to interrupt. Either that or they were having the same issues as himself... He was still having trouble understanding all the consoles and displays...
For the second time, Malnar huffed and shifted in his seat. "Fine then," he snapped, "I'll have to kill you too." The channel was closed.
Slowly he rose from his seat... "Now, have the ship come about, Lezari, and engage them with full weapons.. but don't waste any torpedoes. So," he rounded on everyone, "What the kapar's going on down there??!?!"
The tactical officer bravely took responsibility. "Well, Superior, umm.. uh, when the int- intruder, had the warp core cr-critically damaged yesterday, the engineering staff thought in five hours they had it.. umm, fixed. Now," he paused to cough, "It would appear the... injectors have completely melted, fused together." Malnar's face was slowly and quite remarkably metamorphosising into a ghastly visage of confusion, horror, incredible anger. The tactical officer continued, "Excess energy just sent a shock chain reaction through the stardrive, fusing the fusion drive fuelling the impulse ports. And with our current speed having dropped out of warp, it will take almost an hour to reach firing range to the planet."
Malnar drew his phaser and shot him, the Qlani instantly thudding to the deck unceremoniously with a fist sized hole in his chest. In an instant, everything was suddenly crashing down around him; he decided then to stumble through, focus on one target at a time, and through his rage he had enough nous left to realise what the first would be.
"Fire all torpedoes at the Klingon vessel!" he roared.

.:.Klingon Vessel/Sickbay.:.
Doctor Ahlan felt the ship suddenly come to a stop he rocked forward then his doors swung open to a kligon looking at him, "Doctor we are within transporter range of the saucer section you requested it."
Shooku didn't even look up, "Where is the drive section?" He found himself asking before he did finally look up standing as his face moved towards the klingon. He reached over and grabbed the disruptor rifle.
The Klingon looked at him, "They must have done a seperation we don't have ti-"
Major Lana Baslone appeared behind the Klingon, "I'm coming with you!"
Shooku looked at her in a confused stare the Andorian didn't see her before now how did she come up behind the Klingon. "Alright, well we are taking the bridge, and will be assisting this bucket of bolts." He responded looking at her funny.
Lana smiled wryly, "I will locate the children then!"
Shooku nodded as they stepped outside the office and the Klingon next to him gathered the remainder of his small strike team each with disruptor rifles. He watched as the Klingons grabbed hold of himself and Lana and he felt the transporter take them...
.:.Saucer Section.:.
Shooku stood in the dark looking through it towards the others that were with him. He was certain that they had beamed out just in time. And, it didn't seem that anybody noticed them. He watched as Lana and one of the Klingons left in search of the children. He then turned to his team five of them with him and one with Lana. He nodded as they ran down the passage towards the turbolift at the end they were on deck five and needed to get to the bridge. Shooku boarded it followed by the Klingons, "Alright this is the game plan we are going to capture those that we can, and kill those that we can't."
He watched as they slowly nodded though he could tell that they didn't like the sound of not killing everybody and asking questions later. The only worry that the Doctor had was that some of them were actual Starfleet Officers and not the fakes. "Bridge." He said and felt the turbolift take off. In a few seconds the doors opened and Shooku fell out of the turbolift sending bolts of green disruptor fire all over the place. He then rolled back under cover as the rest of the Klingons took up defensive positions. He noted that two out of six of his shots struck their targets dead on and each fell dead. The others continued to fire aiming at whomever they could...

NPC:
Major Lana Baslone/Zefr'n. Marine Commander. USS Raven-B ...
Zefr'n and Couak watched in puzzlement as the decrepit Bird of Prey passed them without even firing. She could see the Qlani plans to dominate the Vamax and Tvozi races falling apart. One thing was certain, someone would pay, and pay dearly for this treachery ... She was stood next to the Operations station when the turbo-lift doors suddenly opened. Her highly honed sense of survival, that had saved her on numerous occasions did so again.
Murderous beams of phaser-fire arched around the Bridge. Two of the Qlani fell instantly before they could even draw their weapons. Couak jumped from the Command seat and rolled behind the Helm, firing as he landed on his knees. Everyone was firing now, Klingon's and Qlani alike. Zefr'n knew to get out ... She took a long look at where everyone was firing, then jumped toward the ready room. The doors parted as she fell to the floor and rolled, closing behind her but bot before several shots got through the gap.
It occurred to her that she needed an escape route, and only decks away she had the perfect means to accomplish that. Moving quickly down the corridor she came to the door she wanted and entered. Leaving the turbo-lift she moved quickly toward her objective ...
~~~~~~~~~~
Leaving Shooku, Lana and one of the Klingon's headed for deck eight ...
It didn't take long to reach the Captain's quarters, but she was a little surprised to find the door locked. She leaned against the cold material and spoke quietly.
Bethan ... Vanessa ... My name is Major Baslone ... Lana ... Bethan your Father has sent me to look after you. I'm going to open the door in a second. Don't be afraid. I promise you everything will be alright OK ..."
She heard a muffled sound and took that to mean they were ready for the door. Taking a small devise from her pocket, she placed it against the door and pressed several buttons. She felt a slight movement as the magnetic restraints securing the door released. Nodding to the Klingon to follow her in after a moment, she activated the door.
Walking in she could see the two girls stood side by side. They looked past her as the Klingon entered, scanned the room with his eye's then stood silently watching the scene before him.
"Hello Bethan, Vanessa ... I'm Lana. You are going to be OK now. We just need to ma ......" she hesitated as the girls both looked past her, their eye's widening suddenly.
Before she could react the Klingon's lifeless body hit the deck. She spun, quickly raising her phaser, but only got it half way to her waist as she saw the phaser rifle pointed right at her. But it wasn't the rifle that got her attention, it was the person behind it.
"Well well well ...... Of all the things that have happened to me of late. I can honestly say I never expected to see 'YOU' here."
Lana moved to put herself between the newcomer and the children ..........
"I'm going to allow you to beam over Doctor, but you are taking someone with you. Lana will go too. I want her to look for my Daughter. Torek said.
"You will take my men with you." S'vok said, pointing at several Klingon's, most of which looked non too happy to be going.
The Doctor nodded reluctantly, as if he was planning on going alone, then the group left the Bridge. Minutes later S'vok informed him that the transport was complete. It was difficult for a Federation vessel to transport at warp, so he was relieved when the Comm crackled to life and Major Baslone confirmed their arrival on the saucer section ... Happy, well happier, Carl looked at the screen. It was currently showing the Klingon version of a tactical readout. From what he could make of it they were heading directly for the drive section, which seemed to had altered course.
He watched as a volley of torpedoes emanated from the drive section.
"Return fire ... EVASIVE !" S'vok shouted ... Suddenly the ship flipped onto it's back and dove below Zee .. Torek almost lost the contents of his stomach despite the inertial dampers. Even such quick thinking didn't completely save the K'talmk as several of the torpedoes impacted the shields. The Klingon Navigation Officer spun the ship yet again as the Weapons Officer confirmed hits on the Raven, her shields weakening then failing.
The K'talmk was rocked by a massive explosion as the port wing nacelle finally gave out, blasting most of the crew into open space. Air tight doors closed on the Bridge as the bird of prey spun out of control. S'vok was hitting controls in rapid succession before turning to grab Torek. She had set course directly for the drive section, Carl could see it through the static on the view-screen.
"NO !" he shouted above the noise of fracturing bulkhead plates.
"HIghoS ..." she said, grabbing his arm, "rIH ..... !"
Somehow he could see clearly the two points of bright light approaching the K'talmk as the transporter beam took hold and the Klingon bird of prey disintegrated into nothingness around him.
~~~~~~~~~~
"We do not have much time Torek." S'vok was saying, trying to pull him to his feet. He looked round, white bulkhead, clean floor, "You are on your vessel ... Come to your senses quickly Human or my ship will have been forfeit for nothing !"
Someone thrust a Federation phaser rifle into his hands and he was propelled toward the doors. He could see S'vok, and several Klingon Officers. Will was holding onto his other arm as he explained ...
"Are you alright Sir ... We materialized several feet above the deck and fell heavily. You lost consciousness for a few seconds."
"I'm OK Commander .. Thank you. Is everyone here ?"
< tag : Will >
"Whenever you are feeling up to it 'CAPTAIN' I think we should move before we are detected !"
'INTRUDER ALERT ...... INTRUDER ALERT'
"Seems that point is a little moot wouldn't you say ?" Carl said, shaking off the help and checking the setting on his rifle ..........

Couak could not believe all that was happening. He had been so close to Malnar and now he was stuck behind the Helm console trying to keep himself from being hit with phaser fire. He had just ducked once again and caught movement from his right. He turned to see Zefr'n duck out a set of doors off the side of the bridge. He quickly turned and began making his way toward the same doors. Just as he drew within a few feet of the door and thought that he was going to make it to safety, a huge pair of boots stepped in front of him. Couak pulled up short and made his gaze follow up the legs that were attached to the boots. He found himself looking up at the tallest creature that he had ever seen.
**************************************** Will was mildly in shock himself. He could not believe the transport that he had just gone through. He never thought that he would go from one vessel to another that were both headed on a collision course. The fact that they were still alive told him that the drive section had been able to destroy the Bird of Prey be they collided. After assuring that his CO was okay, they began making their way to the battle bridge. Things were a bit hairy for a moment when they were all in the lift and Commodore Torek and S'vok argued over phaser settings.
"Some of those Targs as you call them are our people. We can't go in there just killing everyone." Will directed to S'vok.
After giving Will a stare that would have sent anyone else running, S'vok finally gave in and agreed.
"Fine. Heavy stun than." she consented.
A few seconds later, the lift halted and the doors parted than all hell broke loose.

Watching the sight with flamelit eyes, Malnar felt unbridled joy. It was rare he got to unleash power in such a savage way, so witnessing the destruction, as he had, of a Klingon warship was an excellent form of release. The parts of the vessel shot apart as if spring-released, the embers of those jagged metallic hulks fading fast. He wanted to destroy all the remaining parts, one by one, but then suddenly that avenue was cut off.
"Superior. Intruder alert on deck thirty eight!"
"What?" he asked. He shrugged off the ridiculous comment rather than exploding at its implication. It couldn't be surely..
But the Qlani at Ops cleared his throat, and eyed his console for fear of where his Superior's eyes might be focussed. "Internal sensors are reading a number of Klingon and human lifesigns..." he tapped more buttons, not liking what his sensors were telling him, "They have entered a turbolift."
"Might I suggest raising a forcefield?" Lezari said slightly derisively.
He turned in confusion to see her sneering face, "...A what?" was all he could mumble.
The Ops Qlani was shaking his head, "It's too late," he said offhand, "They are in the lift and heading our way. Controls for lifts were locked out by the quarantine.. one thing we couldn't restore to normal settings."
Malnar looked from one warrior to the other. It had suddenly occurred to everyone on the bridge that Malnar could no longer remember the technicalities of the ship; how it was run, how it worked. The knowledge of Andae Blakus was now quite surely slipping from his mind, so much so he was now being overlooked by his own warriors. This made him angry.
"Weapons," he snarled.
They listened to him in that regard. Every Qlani on the bridge - eight, all told - took a phaser from the weapons locker, a supply being kept and someone remembering where they were. Malnar took the one phaser rifle - just remembering how to use it - and took up a defensive position. He didn't have time for anything else.
The door opened and two Qlani were already diving in; one got drilled in the chest by the orange of a phaser beam, the other made into the lift and started hacking away with arms and fists. Malnar didn't see what happened, but he was safe in the knowledge it was a bad move. The rest of his warriors fired, secure in their defensive positions behind chairs and console struts. Brutish Klingon warriors fell, and a few more moved to fill their places, ducking for cover. Grimacing he shot down one of the towering oafs. How had there been room in the turbolift? These warriors were large and of tremendous bulk with their armour; they clearly lacked the intelligence and savage honour of the Qlani. It seemed though that there were two groups, having arrived on the bridge one after the other. Screaming a roar of frustrated battle-rage, Malnar leapt from behind the starboard side of the tactical rail and uppercut the nearest Klingon. He drove past the falling brute and smashed into one of the few Starfleeters, who bore a striking resemblance to his arch-enemy, Couak. The officer - Jamison - hit the deck, possibly being knocked unconscious. And then there were not many people left.
Malnar stood, his previously hidden blade having been whipped out and now held - a centimetre distant - from the neck of a Klingon female. He cocked his head at her snarling face. S'vok, they'd been calling her. Closeby, Captain Torek himself held a phaser to the pinned form of Lezari. All around the rest of the bridge bodies were sprawled in hapless aspects of unconsciousness, or in the Klingon and Starfleeters' case, death; some dragged themselves across the floor, bloodied and moaning pathetically; a few spilled gore as they went.
"Now," he whispered to S'vok and the rest of them. "It seems we're at something of an impasse. Drop your weapon Captain, or this.." he eyed S'vok's body, "This lovely woman, will die."

Watched as the woman ran off the bridge before anybody could react. He sighed seeing another run behind the helm quickly the doctor adjusted the settings on his rifle to maximum stun. He nodded to a nearby Klingon in time to see a third drop taking a shot to his shoulder. Ahlan watched as the Klingon he nodded to rise up and give a good amount of cover fire as Shooku rose and took off across the bridge firing off two shots along his path stunning two of them. Now all that remained on the bridge was one of them.
He rolled forward bringing the weapon to the side of Couak's head, "Freeze!" He yelled as the surviving two Klingons finished surrounding him.
<Tag Couak>
Shooku held his weapon even placing the rifle against his temple who looked like Will Jamison was not he knew that, and so did the Klingon's. Ahlan would then in his next breath, "Computer place all command codes to Doctor Shooku Ahlan authorization code Ahlan Alpha Alpha Zulu Nine Seven Bravo!" He heard the computer acknowledge his code.
=^=All command codes have been transferred to the Chief Medical Officer=^=
Shooku stood up keeping the weapon level with the side of his head, "Stand up!" He ordered.

.:.Sickbay.:.
Suru Ahlan had fallen asleep in the CMO chair that was typically filled by her husband. When she felt someone tapping her arm which caused her to stir. She looked at the security officer and yawned, "Yes?"
"Look the command codes have been changed to Doctor Ahlan..."
Suru stretched looking at the screen sure enough controls of the ship had been switched to the doctor. She looked towards the fake one sitting on the floor still tied up. He was slowly beginning to shift back into whatever a Qlani was supposed to look like, and he was still passed out. She smiled before closing her eyes, "Lemme know when he arrives." She said and without looking at their nods she would fall asleep once more. Being pregnant made her tired, and this whole situation had made that by far worse...

The turbo-lift rose quietly ... Torek, S'vok, Jamison, the Klingon's, all knew that it was possible they would be hit by a barrage of phaser fire when the doors opened. But that was not the case. The Qlani were so engrossed in arguing their point on the 'who or how' that they didn't react when the turbo-lift doors opened ...
It suddenly became a mad rush to get onto the battle bridge, but everyone exited the lift and moved left and right firing at any opportune target. Qlani and Klingon's alike were dying in the fight and Torek knew he needed to put a stop to it before there was no-one left 'to' fight.
It seemed that the clone of Blakus was in Command of the Qlani, and the only other 'Senior' Bridge Officer would be Franklin, or the Doppleganger at least. Carl knew that in the firing he couldn't reach Blakus, but if he could make his way round to the Science Station, then he would be close to Miesha ... Moving and firing blindly over the Command seats, he edged toward his goal. When the chance arose, he jumped forward and slammed the clone against the bulkhead .. A near-by Klingon put his back to Torek, protecting him from being shot in the back no doubt.
Seeing the Commodore holding a phaser in the chest of the man they presumed to be in charge, the Federation personnel renewed their efforts to bring the fight to a speedy conclusion. It was then Torek noticed S'vok ... She was stood, her back to the view-screen, her phaser was on the floor at her feet, and then Carl could see why. Someone was stood behind her, holding her in position.
"CEASE FIRING ... CEASE FIRING NOW !" he shouted, seeing the light reflecting off the blade held at her throat, and who was holding that blade. It was the Blakus clone.
"Now ....." Malnar whispered to S'vok and the rest of them, "..... It seems we're at something of an impasse. Drop your weapon Captain, or this .." he eyed S'vok's body, "This lovely woman, will die."
No-one moved, each man or woman had their phaser aimed directly at their chosen target. Should he shoot the Jamison clone now, there would be no-one left to see the outcome of the battle !
Carl began to ease the pressure on the phaser as S'vok spoke.
"Commodore ...... Heghlu'meH QaQ jajvam ...... Do you understand me ?"
Carl hesitated for a moment, wondering if he had heard the comment correctly, but there was no doubting her comment, by him, or by the Klingon's. They turned to see if he had understood.
"jIyaj ......" he replied.
It happened quickly ...
She seemed to flex her arm a little, causing Malnar to look down, then she threw her head back, smashing her skull into his face. He fell backward at the impact, taking the blade with him. It sliced through her throat effortlessly. Malnar staggered back to the bulk-head as S'vok fell to the floor dying. Several people opened fire one again. Torek yelled for firing to stop as he watched the Klingon's move to their Commander.
One then knelt and opened the eyes of the dying S'vok. Then every Klingon warrior turned their heads upward and bellowed loudly for long moments ...
Carl moved away from the clone he had pinned and moved to the center of the Bridge. The Klingon's were kneeling around their Commanders lifeless body, a tradition among their race known as Ak'voh, giving her spirit time to leave the body on it's journey to Sto-vo-kor. He looked at the man she had injured.
"You have lost the Raven. Is there any need for you to loose your lives too ?" he asked the man.

The head butt came so fast Malnar had no idea how to perceive it, never mind react to it. He could only surmise the snarling female had lashed out suddenly, because in an instant he found himself on the floor. Eyes opened and he cursed. His nose was broken.
Dumb shock had layered itself finely on the bridge, influencing each individual with a fine measure. Bellowed cries of death assaulted his ears as he dragged himself up; he staggered back from the tactical station and the area of the command seat. His head pounded with the shock of the Klingon's attack, brain already jarred by his unlearning of mission-critical information. What had made it necessary for her to bloody him so? He could take some solace, at least, in the fact that his knife had sliced a hole in her throat.
He stood slumped against a bulkhead, blood streaming from his nose, and through the pain shot an anger that continued to fuel his actions. He eyed Captain Torek as the Starfleet officer moved to the battle bridge's centre, and kept his phaser on Lezari.
"You have lost the Raven. Is there any need for you to loose your lives too ?" Torek asked him.
He broke the gaze between them to look at Lezari. A nod was exchanged between them, but Malnar was left unsure of what they were telling each other. Blinking in confusion as their predicament drew clearer, he looked back to Torek. "We haven't lost the Raven, Captain.. We've only lost the useless part. We still control the drive!"
And with that he dived for the ex-Captain of the Raven. One bound across the bridge - propelled by a kick of the wall - and the two were locked in a struggle. But both parties knew it couldn't last long, and iron-gripped Klingon hands tore his fighting form away from Torek. In his mad thrash of limbs, Malnar almost had time for contemplation... In the instant of Torek's question, he'd considered doing it; throwing down arms, accepting defeat, choosing to consider self-preservation over foolish glory. His broken face contorted into a sneer, but not of defiance, rather of desperation. Never.
Both he and Lezari were herded to the edge of the bridge, the two of them being the last two Qlani after the rest had been incapacitated by the Klingons. Torek and his first officer secured the bridge with their much-reduced numbers. This time Malnar nodded to Lezari there was comprehension. These Starfleeters wouldn't simply execute them, so while those morals held true, they could prevail.
Minutes later they were still under guard on the bridge, and Torek had tried to establish some order. The Captain sat in the central seat, and Malnar regarded him with a dry expression. With a nod from Torek, and close - although Malnar recognised, respectfully distanced - body watching by a couple Klingons, he was allowed to approach the seated Captain. "So, I don't suppose you plan on killing us?" he asked. "What about the saucer section, doesn't it deserve attention?"
<Tag Torek>
It had not, of course occurred to Captain Torek and his officers that, by typing on a console, just before he'd leapt to attack Carl Torek, Malnar had alerted engineering to what was happening here on the battle bridge.
Not all essential ship controls had been transferred to the bridge from the engine room, thanks in a way to Malnar's suspicions of his science officer. He'd told his warriors down there to take action, and they knew what action he would desire.
Understatedly, a console light bleeped, as it transmitted its remote commands regarding door controls and environmental functions. The doors to the battle bridge were now locked out, and - in just the same way Malnar had tried to carry out an execution before - all the oxygen was slowly sucked from the room. Soon they would all suffocate unless something was done.

Will began to sit up and and knew that he was still in a daze when he saw the Blakus clone cut S'voks throat.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" he yelled. But it was too late. And everything that followed happened so fast. When the phaser fire ceased once again, and the Klingons finished their Ak’voh, Will stood and watched as Commodore Torek approached Blakus.
"You have lost the Raven. Is there any need for you to loose your lives too ?"
The fake Blakus' reply was lost on the air as Will stood staring at the lifeless body of S'vok. He had really started to like the female Klingon. His attention was suddenly drawn back to his CO by the sudden motion of the prisoner launching himself at Torek. Surprisingly, before Will could react, the Klingons had stepped in and separated the two men. It was clear to Will that the Klingon crew had began getting the same respect for the Human commander as Will had for the Klingon commander.
As they set about getting things back under their control, Will noticed a blinking light on the Ops console. As he had never actually ran that station, it took him several minutes to discover what it was.
"Sir. The battle bridge has been locked down by someone in Engineering and the oxygen is being vented out. Enviromental controls are locked out as well. We have roughly 35 minutes of air left." he informed Torek.
<Tag Carl>
"He has to have someone down there, sir." he said with a head nod toward Blakus. "I can take a couple of men with me and we can make our way down by way of the jeffery tubes."
Will knew it was a long shot trying to make it down 35 decks in 35 minutes but he felt that he needed to try something. Even if he didn't make it to Engineering maybe he could get to a transporter room and do a site to site transport to get everyone off the bridge and into someplace that had oxygen. than they could continue on to Engineering.

*********************************************** Couak stood as the two Klingons on either side seized his arms. The blue Starfleet officer in front of him began transferring commands over to his codes.
"This isn't over." Couak said. "We will accomplish our mission."
His captors tightened their grips and carried him off to the side out of the way as the Andorian took a seat in the center chair and began pushing buttons.
"Are you listening to me?" yelled Couak. "It isn't over. You may have stopped this part of the ship but the other half will finish what we started."

"So, I don't suppose you plan on killing us ..... What about the saucer section, doesn't it deserve attention ?"
Carl seemingly pondered the idea that the man was still under the impression that he had control over the Raven's saucer section. It was possible of course, but given half the Klingon contingent had gone with Ahlan, he felt it unlikely ... But before he could point the fact out he noticed Will taking the Operations seat. Watching the 'clone' Blakus, he knew before Jamison spoke that something was wrong.
"Sir. The battle bridge has been locked down by someone in Engineering and the oxygen is being vented out. Environmental controls are locked out as well. We have roughly thirty five minutes of air left." he informed Torek.
"Can you override the controls ?" he asked, suddenly feeling the urge to smack the grinning 'Blakus' in the mouth.
"Not going to happen Sir ....." Will said, shaking his head, "He obviously has to have someone down there ... I can take a couple of men with me and we can make our way down by way of the Jeffries tubes."
"That's going to be one hell of a climb." the clone said grinning broadly, but Torek was thinking hard as 'Blakus' gloated at his apparent victory, then it came to him.
"Will ... They would have overridden the transporters along with environment right ?"
"You would expect so yes." Jamison replied.
"OK ... Take two of the Klingon Officers. Make your way to deck thirteen ... Get to one of the shuttles ..." Torek could see a frown forming on the clone as he realized his error in not isolating the shuttle-bays, "Beam directly into Engineering. Hit everyone in there with a wide beam heavy stun. We'll sort out who's who later, but get EC back on-line."
Two of the Klingon's stood, and without a backward glance at their former Commander, stood next to Jamison. Within seconds they had entered the Jeffries tube and disappeared ... Torek sat down in the Command seat, a wry grin hiding the trepidation that his Exec' may not make it in time.
Twenty minutes had passed and there had been no word from Jamison. Carl was suddenly worried that he may have run into more trouble. But one thing was certain in his mind. This ship was not going to be used by the clones, or anyone else for anything but good. Should they all perish then so be it ! ..........

Ahlan ignored him though a smirk formed over his face when he heard the rifle slam into the man's face. He sat down in the center seat it was comfortable, but he would have been happy when Commodore Torek was back. After the last of the Qlani were escorted from the bridge the bridge team appeared on the bridge in their assigned stations. "Helm how long until we are reunited with the drive section given full impulse speed?"
"Sir, we are one hour twenty six minutes away!"
Shooku nodded, "Very well set course for the drive section and engage at full impulse." He ordered.
"Aye sir."
Ahlan looked back at the console that was on the center seat. He only hoped that in the next hour and twenty minutes that they had nothing happened to the others, or the drive section. Because if the drive section was destroyed then it would have been a long trip back to the starbase. I really hope that Commodore Torek doesn't lose his ship every time we make spacedock. He thought with a smirk before turning to the engineering station. "Damages?"
"Other then a couple EPS conduits that have blown out the saucer section is in pretty good condition Lieutenant."
Ahlan nodded, "Thank you, at least some good news to give the Commanding Officer if there is a Commanding Officer to return this half of his ship to!" He muttered the last part of the sentence so that nobody on the bridge heard him. No desire to reduce their morale now that the tide had finally changed in their favor.

NPC:
Major Lana Baslone/Zefr'n. Marine Commander. USS Raven-B ...
"Lana. " Bethan said, standing close to the real Lana.
"It's going to be OK Bethan, Vanessa, listen to me OK, I want you to both stay behind me.
"Awww ...... How very sweet. Maybe you can take the place of our darling Bethan's Mother .. Oh no, I forgot, you won't be leaving here will you."
"What's happened to my Mother, is she OK ?" Bethan said, trying, but failing to hold back the tear forming.
Vanessa put her arms around the younger girl and hugged her, whispering assurance that everything was going to be fine, they were not going to be hurt and they would get out of here safe. All the while watching the 'clone' as she adjusted the setting on the phaser rifle in her hands.
"Oh you are going to be just fine children." Lana said, grinning at her counterpart, "But I'm afraid your guardian angel here is not going to fare as well ..... I need you girls to come with me."
"NO !" Bethan shouted.
"No ...... ?" the doppleganger queried, anger rising in her as she knew her time to escape was running out, and running out fast, "You will do as you are told you little brat, or I will make sure you do not see your Mother or your precious Father again ... Do you hear ME ! ... Now, come here or I wi ......"
The clone Lana stopped speaking in mid-sentence and her eyes widened in shock. She dropped the rifle, then tried to feel behind her .. She let out the smallest of cries as she fell to her knees, then slumped to the deck dead. Lana could see the knife, a Klingon D'k tahg, protruding from her back. She looked at the man that had accompanied her into the room. He was leaning against the wall but hardly breathing. Lana found a nearby med-kit and took a hypo-spray, she injected cordrazine, the only thing she could think of that may keep the man alive, before laying him flat on the deck ...
Bethan was crying, Vanessa took her hand then went to sit on the floor next to the injured Klingon ... Bethan put her head on Lana's lap and sobbed quietly. Lana tapped her Comm badge.
=^= Major Baslone to Doctor Ahlan .. I need you in the Captains quarters =^=
=^= On my way .. Ahlan out =^=
Land held the two girls and watched the Klingon's shallow breathing, hoping the Doctor would get here and could help the man who had saved their lives ..........

A desperate and angry Malnar watched as Torek's first officer departed the bridge. Either they would all soon be running out of air, or they would all be saved, but either way he would have failed. His calm exterior couldn't prevail for much longer either, instability forcing itself up through him and pushing at some invisible envelope. He shook on the spot.
He wasn't made for this!! Calmness, reservation, the need to hold oneself back. Of course, being watched by the Klingons made it marginally easier: making any sort of outburst at this point would see him mauled by those armoured brutes, or worse. True it was the knowledge granted to him by the real Commander Blakus was forgotten, and all he knew now was that he had once known something, but his own knowledge of Klingons prevented any attack.
Indeterminable but lengthy minutes went by (during which 'Blakus' contemplated on how this mission had transformed to near-failure). Captain Torek had not heard from his man belowdeck; Malnar was starting to suspect he may have failed. He readied himself for death. "Jamison hasn't succeeded, I can tell you now," he told the doomed Captain. <Tag?>
Torek sat still and introspective in the command chair, seeming somewhat pensive in his regarding of Malnar and those around him. He must've known his executive officer was running out of time.[/color]
Engineering was a scene of torment. Qlani lay sprawled across both levels of the Galaxy class's engine department; all in Starfleet uniforms, most of them knocked out, some of them killed by an overzealous Klingon.
On the lower level close to the warp core, a warrior managed to drag himself up. Pulling with a bloodied and closed fist at the edge of a console, he landed chest first on the black surface and grimaced with pain. The assault had broken their backs so fast he'd had no time to react. Wide-field phaser got most of them, but while the Starfleet man had avoided bloodshed, he'd been unable to prevent the Klingons from rampaging through and finishing the rest with sharpened blade and iron fist.
Having no idea where the attackers had gone, he had no choice but to keep as still as possible, in the hope the pain might abate. Wait... what was that... a glimpse of a flicker of gold moving on the deck above. As quietly and quickly as possible he scrabbled around for a phaser. As his pained hand found purchase on such a device he pulled himself across the console to get a shot on the movement; his blood smeared thickly across the display's surface.
Upon firing, he immediately knew he'd hit something. He listened carefully, then with purpose but at a slow pace - knowing his life was in danger - he made his way to the upper level. A dark blotchy phaser mark had scored on the wall and he was for an instant disappointed, until he noticed the blackened commbadge lying at the intersection of wall and floor. The Qlani smiled, following from there a trail of blood to a Jefferey's tube.
His ear slammed against the hatch cover, listening with desperate vigour. Sure enough, inside he could hear the bangs of someone engaged in a fast-crawl. He smiled wider - the attacker was without communication, without hope. If the Qlani mission had failed, if even their attempts at apprehending the Starfleet crew who were now back on the ship, this Qlani could at least content himself with removing one more human from the galaxy.

The time was drawing near. They had caught up with their ship and had engaged it. Miesha, who was unfamiliar with the Klingon ship functions, ultimately just stood on the bridge waiting for something else to happen. She was pretty useless. The battle raged on and it appeared they were losing. It was to be expected, but at least they had gotten the teams to the two sections. The ship was coming apart all around them. Miesha was almost in tears. She wasn't ready for this and knew she had chosen the wrong career path. Miesha was not a fighter. She could handle herself, but not like this.
The ship took a turn for the worse and came apart. The Klingons prepared to transport the rest of the crew to the Raven. The beam outs began and the last thing Miesha felt was being dematerialized into nothingness.
END MIESHA.....

"Jamison hasn't succeeded, I can tell you now" Malnar told the doomed Captain.
"Sir there are three vessels approaching from the surface. They demand to know what has been happening." the Helm Officer said.
Carl looked at the demoralized figure that was, a short time ago, about to decimate the planet below. He had transformed back to his own appearance now, so it was easier for Torek to hate, no, pity the man who's plan had failed miserably.
"Captain ... Commander Jamison reports life-support back on-line. He's in Jeffries tube fourteen beta and needs help, he's been injured."
"Get Medic's down there ... Tell the Vamax we have people here they need to take off our ship. See if you can contact the saucer section." he said, standing and moving to Malnar, "It's over ... Whatever plan you had, is done. You almost got away with starting a war. The people coming for you will have several questions I imagine."
~~~~~~~~~~
Two hours later: Captain's Ready Room ...
=^= The saucer section is ready to dock Captain, and there's a shuttle approaching us. Commander Brisken reports one casualty from his teams and one survivor from the Constitution, it's Commander Blakus .. They are awaiting instructions .. I have just been informed that Lieutenant Franklin and three of the Klingon's were lost when the K'talmk was destroyed Sir =^=
=^= Very well ........ Have the saucer section dock then bring the shuttle in =^= Carl said closing the Comm then looking first at Malnar, then the two Vamax.
"What's going to happen to him ?" he asked.
"That is not for you to concern yourself with. While we are most grateful for your assistance in this matter, it is now for the Vamax and Tvozi councils to resolve ... I trust you will be leaving our system with all haste." The man made it an order, rather than a suggestion, and frankly Torek was more than happy to comply.
Within the hour, the Raven was on her way home ..........
MISSION CONCLUDES ..........
