Star Base Bellicose
Bezan awoke after a rough night. The tea seemed to relieve him a bit and he managed to drop off to sleep. But he woke in the morning feeling the effects of last nights alcohol abuse, put his uniform on and made his way out of the door towards the Olympia.
Today they would report onboard and prepare the ship ready for it's next assignment. In a day or two they would leave Star Base Belicose and be on the way to an exciting career and adventure.
USS Olympia
As he walked groggely through the air dock and onto the vessle he felt a new leave of life as he made his way to his private quaters onboard the Olympia. He looked around and he felt at home, which is a good thing as he would be living there for possible months at a time.
He walked into his quaters and put his bag on his bunk and walked out of the room to go to his office. Before he did so though he spotted Two Padds, one was systems reports and the other was from Danny, He looked at it and thought gulp.
He went to the turbo lift knowing exactly what he would do, he would send the crew men in first and hopefully by the time he had gone through them they wouldn't have time to get around to him. Or the ship would have departed on it's latest mission.
He walked into the turbo lift and to it to the corrct Deck and walked off into Engineering. The first Crewman he spotted he collored.
"You there" Bezan requested.
"Yes sir" He responded recognising the new CEO and senior officer in engineering.
"Have you been for your syc evaluation yet?"
"No sir Not yet i havn't"
"Well what are you waiting for? Report to Lt Biers Please" Bezan said not wanting to be too bossy.
The crew man nodded and made his way out of the door. I'm home and dry Bezan thought to himself and he allowed himself a little smile of achievement. Now all he had to worry about was if Danny would find a way around it.

Daniel was happy to see the first engineer enter his office until he found that the CEO had chased him up here, ~looks like Bezan is avoiding it~. “Well if you would like to take a seat we will get this done” Dan watched as the engineer took a seat, sitting in a seat nearby Dan began with the evaluation “right, lets start with what you have been doing during your shore leave?” the ensign obviously surprised at Dan’s question he began gibbering out a response …
As the day went on Dan worked his way through the few engineers he actually needed to see. Dan had found very little wrong with those he saw, he few might need to be seen again at the end of their first mission but there was nothing he was alarmed about, saving the record of the last person in Dan looked at the list of people in engineering that required evaluations, he found Bezan’s name was the only one left one the screen, Dan quickly wrote a report and stored it in Bezan’s file and then removed Bezan from his list.
Standing he made his way to the replicator to get another coffee, “coffee, black” =/\= unable to comply =/\=. ~I couldn’t have had this happen before I had half of engineering up here~ walking back to his desk Dan hit his commbadge. “Lt Biers to Engineering could one of you, if there is time come up and sort out the replicator in my office” not waiting for a reply Dan picked up the Padd he looked to see which department he was going to pull up here next.
Deciding that he would work his way up towards the captain he began to write a message. DOCTOR MALLEN, I WOULD LIKE YOU TO COME TO MY OFFICE ASAP, THANK YOU, LT JG BIERS. Finishing and sending the message he started writing his department’s report to hand to the captain when he needed it.

Bezan saw the last of the crewmen he had sent to Biers' office and looked a little relieved as there was no request for the next officer to report from engineering. Bezan wasn't sure if he was ever going to have an evaluation by any councilor, but if he did and when he did he would like it to be Danny, rather than some other star fleet councilor with no familiarity of him. And looking at everything objectivley.
But since there was nothing else to do he went about dishing out the orders of operations for the day, getting the Olympia's engines ready for the task's it might under take for the up and coming mission.
He focused on the shields, as during his time at the academy, they had tried to use the shields as a holgraphic projection of the alien ships attacking, but they had flickered and the image had distorted. So shields operation was ahead of everthing else barring life support. After all the best form of attack is sometimes defence.
After running a few diagnostics and systems checks he would make sure he was reported in for duty then go to his quaters and reitre with some old earth music, they called Classical.

Steve was still working at the desk in his ready room. He had gone through most of the padds that were laying on his desk. The majority of said padds were about the repairs and refit that was happening all throughout the ship, so all Steve had to do was sign them off, which he did.
With Mr Tan due any minute, Steve was surprised when his terminal beeped at him. He had an incoming communique from Starfleet Command. He studied the contents of the message for a few minutes, and went through them again. 'They're quick.' he thought to himself, looking towards a picture of him and Arya. With Arya being kept at the Starbase at least until her pregnancy was over, it left the Olympia without an Executive Officer, and the message was to inform Steve that Starfleet have chosen a replacement.
Before Steve could think too much on the subject at hand, his door chimed. Rather than calling out, he pressed a button at his desk to have the door open. Standing in the doorway was Lieutenant Commander Tan.
"Ah, Commander, do come in. Would you like something to drink?" Steve asked, gesturing for David to take a seat.

Mallen was back in her quarters again, laying on her bed. She had started reading again, and was so absorbed in her novel that at first she didn't realize she was being called.
=/\= DOCTOR MALLEN, I WOULD LIKE YOU TO COME TO MY OFFICE ASAP, THANK YOU, LT JG BIERS. =/\=
Her head snapped up so fast it hurt, just in time to hear the important part of the message. She only had her pajamas on (and, of course, she had left her combadge on her uniform), so when she called, "Yeah, Okay!" no one heard it but herself. She half got up, half fell off of her bed and got dressed (at least made herself look presentable).
She assumed that the occasion would be her psyche examination. Kiral hated the very idea. She had nothing against counselors-- it was a very important position aboard a starship-- she just didn't have much use for them beyond occasionally referring her patients to them. She had seen several counselors before, and every visit seemed surprisingly similar. They would ask about her phobia of holodecks (clearly outlined in her psyche profile), recommend some sort of therapy that she would ultimately refuse to do, and schedule a second appointment that she wouldn't go to.
Kiral always went for the first session, though. She was a professional, after all, and it made it more likely that the counselor would show up for his medical exam. And so she headed out, eager to get things over with.
"Hello, Counselor Biers," she said as she walked into the office. "I hope your head isn't bothering you after last night."

Daniel lifted his head as the door opened to reveal doctor Mallen, as she walked in she commented on his head, which was slightly hazy but he knew where that came from, a combination of lack of coffee and something about her that set it off. ~I have to find Lorra~
“My head is quite alright doctor” Daniel spoke quickly while rising from his seat. “Would you like to take a seat as I fear this may not be quick” smiling as he said this he watched the doctor take the nearest seat to her. “Well how are you this morning, I did not wake you did I?” <Tag Mallen> Daniel heard the response and was pleased when she had tired to be nice, most would have let their tongues go at him for what he was doing. “Well I see from your records a few phobias that you are fully aware that exist, you have been offered help in these areas but rejected it each time, so I believe it will be no point wasting your time dragging that up again. So I will begin with asking, what were your feelings during your last mission” Daniel had read every report she had on record, which was more than he had done for the rest of the crew, including the captain. <Tag Mallen, if you want to put a response in>
------------------------------------40 minutes later------------------------------------------------
After 30 minutes Daniel had decided he had enough to complete the evaluation, but felt he wanted to know a little more about Kiral so had continued. But he choose to stop now before she worked out he had finished “Okay doctor we are all done” Daniel picked up a Padd that was on his desk and handed it to Kiral, “this is a list of all personnel in your department that I require to see, would you mind sending them up when you do not need them, but first I believe I have a medical due so I will get that done as a apology for putting you though a evaluation” Daniel had no idea why he had said that last part but he felt he needed to.

Mallen had been a little worried. She didn’t usually like counselors to begin with, and when Biers had shown up in sickbay the night before, it had done nothing to comfort her. This meeting, however, completely reassured her. She was going to get along with Counselor Daniel Biers. He was smart, friendly, polite, and best of all, didn’t feel the need to waste her time trying to get her to “conquer her fears” or anything like that. She respected that. This visit was more like a talk between friends than an examination.
When they finally finished, she took the PADD he offered her. Now it was her turn to do her job. “Yes, yes, now would be a good time for your physical… You can pick up your next victim—patient, I mean—while we’re there. Come, come, I won’t keep you there too long.” She escorted him to Olympia’s sickbay, which was now painted the bright yellow color that Mallen had been threatening her staff with.
"Have a seat. Lay down, if you want to. Though this shouldn't take long at all..." Mallen had done her homework and read through the files of every crewmember onboard the Olympia. Biers, though new, was no exception. "Well, we know about your problems with telepathy. Nothing I can do about that, but I'm sure that with help, you'll be able to solve that on your own." As she spoke she waved a medical tricorder over every part of her patient's body.
"Also, I'm aware of your allergy to sedatives. Have your previous doctors tried using Alizine to counter these reactions? If you don't know, that's fine. It would just be helpful for me to know these things in case of emergency. Actually, it would be helpful for everyone to avoid emergencies completely, but then I would be out of work... There we go..." she said as she put the tricorder down. She walked over to a console to examine the results.
"Well, you're in good condition, Counselor. There is some erratic electrical activity in your brain, but that can be explained by your imperfect control of your Betazoid ability... Nurse Lorra is working the next shift. I'll keep her here a bit overtime, and you can come by and ask for her help then. For now, take your pick of any of my staff."
With this said, she turned around and waved around the PADD that Biers had given her earlier. "Hey! Everyone! This is our new counselor, Lieutenant JG Biers. If your name is on this list, you'll be going to see him sometime today. Thank you."
She turned back to Biers and grinned at him. "Well, I hope I'll be seeing more of you during our next mission... Out of sickbay, I mean. It was a pleasure meeting you, but I have work to do, people to save, that sort of thing." With that, she waved him out of her sickbay.

Daniel left sickbay with a smile on his face, it took a few moments for him to notice the nurse following him for her evaluation. The evaluations for the medical staff did not take as long as the engineering staff had, for which Dan was fairly happy about. As he sent the last nurse from his office back to her duties Dan breathed a sigh of relief, most do not like evaluations which makes it ten times hard to actually get them done.
Standing up Dan walked around the office watering each plant in turn, he hoped the mission they will eventually get would come soon, or he was going to run out of departments to check over. As he watered the last plant he took a moment to actually look at his office, he was still having trouble believing this was his office, picking up a picture he had left in a draw he placed it on the side of his desk. ~now it is my office~.
Dan walked out of his office a made his way to the main turbo lift, as he walked in to the lift he stated “bridge”. As the turbo lift doors opened he looked around the bridge, Dan had seen pictures of a Prometheus class ship but had never actually been on one. Walking around the bridge Daniel worked out which station was which, as he worked his way round he finally came to the seat that he would take when the ship left, there were few officers on the bridge and most were too busy with their own work to notice him, seating down in his seat Dan felt proud of himself for actually making it to this point.
Dan had no idea how long he had been sitting there staring at the blank view screen, but eventually he stood and left the bridge to return to his quarters to read a novel while he waited, hoping they would not be docked here for much longer.

It was nearly eight hours since they had departed the Victory, and Tiberian was growing a little restless. He had been pacing the shuttle for nearly an hour, Martinez's eyes following him as he moved. "I could always lend you a phaser" Martinez finally remarked, drawing a puzzled glance from Tiberian "So you could wear down the deck plating a little faster" Tiberian gave a cold stare to Martinez who grinned, and putting his feet up on the seat in front of him, laid back to rest. "Coming up on Bellicose now Major" the pilot told him. "Slow to impulse power" Tiberian said "Hail the dockmaster and request permission to enter" "Slowing to impulse, confirmation of docking received, and we are advised to set down on the landing platform near the Olympia" The doors of the starbase entrance opened, and the little shuttle went in, landing safely. "Open up and power down" Tiberian told the crew as he and Martinez secured their belongings "Rest for a while and then catch up with the Vic" They nodded, and Tiberian and Martinez disembarked together, proceeding up the gangway and into the central core of the Starbase. They weaved their way though the busy corridors, finally exiting the starbase structure and passing through a connecting pylon onto the Olympia. They emerged into a busy corridor, completely unfamiliar in design to Tiberian. He looked left, then right, then left again, trying to get his bearings. martinez gave him a sidewards glance. "Have you never been on a ship like this before" he asked. Tiberian scowled slightly, having only ever been on Galaxy or Nebula class ships, or older. He replied. "Have you?" "No. The Vic was the most up to date ship I've ever served on" "Well that's just great" Tiberian muttered under his breath, making an Executive decision and turning left. They walked around the deck for nearly five minutes before Tiberian finally admitted that he needed the computers help. "Computer, locate Captain Steven Smith" he asked, somewhat exasperated. "The Captain is in his quarters" came the cool and clear reply. Tiberian walked off, but then came to a halt less than two paces later. "Computer" he asked again "Where are the Captain's quarters" "The Captain's quarters are located on deck 5" Tiberian set off again, entering a turbolift with Martinez and proceeding to deck 5. They emerged onto a nearly deserted deck, which didn't surprise TIberian, given that most of them would be enjoying the recreational facilities of the starbase. A few more minutes of aimless wandering and they arrived at the Captain's quarters. Tiberian chimed the door, which was summarily opened, allowing them admittance. Tiberian entered first, to see the Captain seated at a desk, with a young Lieutenant Commander stood before him. Tiberian hastily put down his foot locker, placed his large carry bag on top of it, and placed his backpack beside them. Coming to attention, he saluted the Captain. "Sir, Marine Major Tiberian Wong reporting for duty as requested, sir. Sir, might I also introduce Senior Marine NCO Sergeant Major Jose Martinez, transferred under me at my personal request, sir"

Steve had barely just got the drink that David had requested and set it down on the table before his Ready Room door opened and in walked a couple of marines.
"Ah, Mr Wong...." Steve began, smiling. "Our new First Officer. Starfleet sure sent you very quick." He added, and pointed to another seat in the office. "Please, sit." He requested.
It was at this moment in time that Steve was glad he had read the communique from Starfleet, and not just left it aside like he normally does. If he hadn't have read it, then his new XO, Mr Wong, would have just turned up out of the blue, causing a surprise, and Steve was not generally a big fan of surprises.
As Tiberian sat down, Steve paused before starting.
"It's actually pretty good timing, you coming here. Means I can kill two birds with one stone, so to speak." Steve said, looking at both David, then Tiberian. Then Steve remembered he hadn't introduced David at all.
"Oh yes, I forgot. Mr Wong, this is Lieutenant Commander David Tan, the Olympia's Chief of Operations. David, Major Tiberian Wong, our new First Officer."
A couple of the padds on Steve's desk fell to the floor and a few more were on the verge of sliding off. Steve looked at the two officers sitting opposite and could swear he could see them smirking. He turned to look at the mess on the floor, and made the executive decision to pick them up later, but moved the ones on the desk so that they weren't so close to the edge.
"Seeing as you both are here, it gives me the opportunity to make sure that everything will the fine ship-wise before we are sent out on our new mission."...'When we eventually go' Steve thought.
"As it stands right now, the Olympia currently does not have a Second Officer. It is something that has been on my mind for a while, and now that our shakedown mission is out of the way, it has given me the opportunity to find someone suitable." With that said, Steve looked directly at Tan.
"That is why I asked to see you, David." He continued...."I would like to offer you the position of Second Officer of the Olympia."

David watched, trying hard to hold back a grin, as the PADD's fell to the floor .. As the Captain sighed, then began to move the ones edging toward a tumble, into the middle of his cluttered desk, he risked a glance at the yet to be officially appointed Exec' Officer, and they shared a grin .. David did wonder if the Captain had been wandering the ship, collecting PADD's though .. There did seem to be dozens of them there ... But, the Captain finally decided to get on with what he was saying ...
"Seeing as you both are here .. It gives me the opportunity to make sure that everything will the fine ship-wise before we are sent out on our new mission."...'When we eventually go' Steve thought, "As it stands right now .. The Olympia currently does not have a Second Officer .. It is something that has been on my mind for a while .. Now that our shakedown mission is out of the way it has given me the opportunity to find someone suitable." with that said, Steve looked directly at Tan, "That is why I asked to see you David." He continued...."I would like to offer you the position of Second Officer of the Olympia."
Commander Wong was immediately out of his seat, offering his hand, as was the Captain. David shook both in turn, the Captains, then Commander Wongs ..
"Thank you Sir .. I'd be honored to serve as your Second Officer." he said to Steven, before sitting back down ...
"Thank you too Commander Wong .. And may I say .. Un-officially .. Welcome aboard the Olympia."
"Oh yes .. I was getting to that." Steven said, shrugging as if he'd forgot to put the cat out ..
"Well .. If I may .." David said, knowing the appointment of a First Officer was done in private, "I will leave you to it .. Sirs .. There are a few things I need to check up on."
With that, David stood, then made his way back to the Bridge, leaving the Captain and his Executive Officer, to talk." ..........

USS Olympia Listening to the classical 19th century artist Bach, Bezan relaxed on his sofa in his quaters on the USS olympia. The quaters were quite expansive, they beat the size for cadet quaters he had been in on the Hepta. They probabley were miniscule compared with the captain and first officers though.
Bezan stood up and walked to his replicator.
"Tea Sweet" He requested
=/\= Which tea there is 450 options stored in my data base Earth English Earth Chinese Earth Turkish......=/\=
"Earth English is fine"
=/\= Please select Earl Grey, Pg tips, Yorksire tea, Typhoo...=/\=
"Earl Grey" Bezan was getting frustrated by this time about having to choose the options every time he ordered tea, so later he would set it to default and select the drinks he enjoyed the most.
He grabbed the tea and went to seat back on the sofa. Listening to the relaxing but commanding notes he took a sip of his tea and sat back and closed his eyes, pictureing the images that went through his mind when he thought of the music.
Then his door buzzer sounded and he was disturbed from the day dream.
"Computer disengage music" There was a noise of music swithing off then the computer confirmed it had been cancelled, and he turned his attention to the door. "Come in"

The padds fell to the floor, and Tiberian couldn't help but allow a sly grin to reach his face. He looked sideways and saw Tan looking back, a similar smile present. Tiberian sat back and took in the room, as the Captain proceeded to push the remainder of the menagerie of padds further away from the edge of the table. He only just pulled himself back to reality in time to hear the Captain conclude. "That is why I asked to see you, David." the Captain continued...."I would like to offer you the position of Second Officer of the Olympia." Immediately Tiberian rose from his seat and extended his hand, congratulating the new second officer. He relinquished his hands moments later and was reseated, allowing the Captain to do the same. "Thank you Sir .. I'd be honored to serve as your Second Officer." the operations chief addressed the Captain, before sitting back down "Thank you too Commander Wong .. And may I say .. Un-officially .. Welcome aboard the Olympia." "You're most welcome, and thank you Commander Tan" Tiberian said, nodding with a smile on his face. "Commander Wong" now he could get used to that. Unfortunately that would mean the last eleven generations of marines in his family would probably rise form their graves and try to kill him. He sighed, Major Wong would have to suffice. "Well .. If I may .." David said, knowing the appointment of a First Officer was done in private, "I will leave you to it .. Sirs .. There are a few things I need to check up on." "Thank you very much, nice meeting you Commander" Tiberian gave yet another incline of the head as the Commander departed. It was only then that Tiberian realised that not only had Martinez remained for the entire duration of that exchange, but that both his and Tiberian's bags were currently cluttering the CO's room. "You're dismissed Sergeant Major" Tiberian said, rising from his seat "Stow your gear and then, err..." He had almost said to inspect the men, but they weren't his men anymore, and he knew from experience that Marine officers didn't like overbearing XO's. "Then enjoy the current shoreleave" The Captain was kind enough to finish Tiberian's struggling sentence. "Yes" Tiberian finished "Carry on Sergeant Major" Salutes were exchanged, and then only Tiberian and the Captain remained in the room. Tiberian turned back to the Captain. He withdrew his orders and handed the padd to the Captain for inspection whilst remaining at a rigid attention. "I was honoured to receive this assignment, sir" Tiberian finally managed to say "And I can't wait to get underway"

Steve smiled at Tiberian's last comment. "I am pretty sure the rest of the crew all feel the same as you Major. Our first real mission since the ship was brought back into service is very exciting for a lot of people. This may be my second command, but its the first time I have taken a ship out for a shakedown cruise and first mission." He paused to breathe, and looked directly at his new XO. "To be honest, I am both nervous and excited at the same time. But I know I have a good crew with me, including yourself, so all will be fine."
Steve stood up and started to pace behind his desk. It was just something he did when he was having a discussion with someone, be it a one on one, or group discussions. "You will find that I am a pretty easy going person, but that doesn't mean that I will allow things to get lax." He stopped pacing and learn forward on his chair. "I am sure we will get along well. A happy command team means a happy crew, and you cant say fairer than that!"
Steve then moved around his chair and sat back down. "While we are here, is there anything you would like to ask me, or anything you want to say?"

Tiberian smiled as the Captain paced, and was even more impressed that he admitted his own shortcomings. An officer that could do that was obviously a good one, one who could learn, and one who wouldn't get men killed. Smuth concluded and looked to Tiberian for any further questions. "Sir, no further questions, sir" He saluted, and turning on heel made for his pile of belongings. As he lifted his footlocker and carry bags, he suddenly realised he did have quite an important question. "Sir" Tiberian turned back to face the Captain, a slight look of embarrasment on his face "Do you happen to now where I am billeted, sir" "Just down the corridor Major" the Captain replied. "Thank you sir" Tiberian tried saluting again, but managed to obscure his face wth the bag in his hand. Leaving before he could lose any more of his precious little dignity, Tiberian moved out of the room and down the corridor in the direction indicated. He arrived at his new quarters assignment, and upon entering found it far more spacious and comfortable than any of his previous quarters had ever been. As he set his bags down to inspect the room, his comm badge beeped. "Sergeant Major Martinez to Major Wong" "Wong here" Tiberian was shocked Jose had gotten so bored of shore leave already. "Would you perhaps care to come down to the armoury, sir" "What is it Jose?" Tiberian was starting to get curious. "Nothing sir. It's on Deck 7 by the way" the line was cut off. Tiberian sighed. Nearly a year he had served with that man and he still hadn't the faintest idea about how the man's mind operated. Well, he was a good enough NCO, and that was all Tiberian cared about. He straightened his equipment belt and proceeded out of the room and into a turbolift, assuring himself that he would come back and unpack later. He arrived on Deck 7, and had no trouble finding the armoury. On entering he heard a cry. "MARINE COMPANY, ATTEN...HUT!" At that moment, two ranks, fifteen men abreast came to attention. Obviously Martinez was working his usual magic. Tiberian walked to the centre of the room and examined the men, his eyes moving slowly from right to left, before he gestured Martinez to approach. "What are you doing?" he muttered to the Sergeant Major, the iron face and dark eyes remaining unfixed and pointed at the marines. "I thought you might like to see the boys, sir" Martinez replied simply. "They're not my boys anymore" Tiberian answered, drilling home the fact that he wasn't an SMO any longer. "Now that's true, but they are mine" his drew a curious look from Tiberian "At least until a new SMO arrives. I'm the most senior man here" Tiberian couldn't help but smile, they had both seemingly fallen on their feet. He advanced one pace, Martinez flanking him. "My name is Major Wong. I am the new XO. This is Sergeant Major Martinez, he is acting SMO until I or the Captain says otherwise. I am a marine. So were the last eleven generations of my family. All I know how to do is fight, to serve, and to do my duty. So that's what I, and every man under me is going to do. So any man, who thinks they are going to get a nice quiet ramble through their service, now's the time to ship out" Not one man moved, not one man flinched. They were willing to stay, and Tiberian respected every man of them for it. He paced up and down both ranks looking at the men, until he came across one man, only eighteen or ninteen, who appeared in physical discomfort. "Name marine" Tiberian asked. "Charleston, Private First Class, sir" came the reply. "Are you injured Charleston, Private First Class" Tiberian pressed. "Just my knee, sir. It was hit during hand to hand practice, sir. I was going to go to the doctor, but then the Sergeant Major appeared, and..." Tiberian raised a hand halting the story. "Alright, we're going to sickbay" He wrapped an arm around the marine and helped him forwards, aided a by an NCO who had emerged from the ranks. "Sergeant Black, sir. I served under Major Jackson" Tiberian nodded, taking Jackson to have been the prior SMO. "Carry on Sergeant Major, weapons drill, firing range time, and then a beer for the best shots" Tiberian ordered as they made their way from the armoury. They remained on the same deck, and soon came to sickbay. They entered to find a young female Lieutenant on duty, a tanned Trill with golden hair, who stood nearly a complete foot below Tiberian. "Room for a little one doctor" Tiberian asked in a joking suggestion, as he left Black to settle Charleston on a bio bed. He saluted the doctor, before realising he was the superior officer, and hastily withdrew his hand, opting instead for a quick inclination of the head. "Major Tiberian Wong, Lieutenant, the new First Officer. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind taking a look at this marine's leg"

Dan was surprised as he enter his office, ~I leave it for 5 seconds and the paper work piles up again~ moving to water the plants he ignored the reports of the final list of new personnel boarding the Olympia. Looking around the office he began to wonder what plants were here, the list had the full names and he only recognised 5 of them which were by his desk, moving around he found a very odd looking plant that reminded him of a Venus fly trap plant from earth but bigger. Moving it so it was next to his desk he wondered if it was fully grown yet.
Leaving the office he locked it so no more paper work could find its way in, making his way to sickbay to speak with Lorra. Entering sickbay he wondered if he would ever get use to seeing a yellow sickbay, looking around he wondered where Doctor Mallen was someone spoke behind him. “Looking from me” jumping Dan turned to see a young nurse looking at him, “umm, Nurse Lorra?” he asked the nurse in front of him, as she nodded she smiled and motioned him to a quiet corner of the sickbay. “So you wanted me for something Mr Biers” becoming embarrassed he began to explain about his inability to use his telepathy and wondered if she wouldn’t mind helping him control it properly.
“Well if I do help you with your problem, you must promise that what I tell you or show you in my mind you do not tell anyone, okay” Dan felt like a child but snapped back to himself and replied “of course” moving to pick up a pad that was behind him and handed him the Padd, “Here are the times I will consider working with you”.
As Daniel left sickbay he realised she must have been reading him, sizing him up, shuddering at the thought of what she could have dug up, passing 3 marines heading in the direction of the sickbay Dan remembered that he was meant to report in. “computer locate captain smith” =/\= Captain Smith is in his ready room =/\= turning to go the other way to reach the turbo lift he made his way to the captain’s ready room.
Arriving outside the ready room Daniel pressed the button and waited to see if could see the captain.
<Tag Captain Smith if you want>

Kiral watched Lt. Biers enter sickbay from her office. She noticed with some curiosity that he still seemed a bit surprised by the color. She made a mental note to herself to explain her reasoning to him the next time (Yellow inspired hope, apparently) they visited. She was pleased to see that Lorra was expecting him, and so took no further notice until the doors opened and he left.
Kiral looked up as the sickbay doors opened again several moments later, admitting several marine men. The tall one introduced himself as the new first officer, Tiberian Wong. She already knew about his background and medical history-- she had read his file as soon as it had been sent in.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Major, and welcome aboard the Olympia. I see you're already working your troops to injury?" She smiled and turned to the injured marine. "So, marine, do you mind telling me what happened?"
She listened patiently as he gave her a detailed description of how he got hit a little bit too hard during hand-to-hand combat training. As he spoke, she scanned the knee area with her tricorder. "You took a good hit, I see, but it's only a hairline fracture." She pulled an osteogenic stimulator out of a drawer, pulled up Charleston's pant leg, and went to work. Within minutes, she put the device down and started wrapping the leg.
"You'll be a bit stiff, but you're fine to go back to work. I don't want you doing heavy running or working yourself too hard. When you're done, I want you to immediately apply ice or a cold pack, and keep it there for at least half an hour. Elevating the limb will also help. If you experience abnormal pain or discomfort, I want you to report back here."
She turned back to Major Wong, though she had to look up to properly speak to him. "I don't want you being too hard on him, sir. He'll be completely healed in a couple of days, and then you can work him as hard as you want. And if you or any more of your marines get hurt, don't hestate to send them here." She smiled. "We're always happy to help."

After Major Wong left the Ready Room, Steve set about getting the rest of his padds sorted. It only took him a few minutes to finalise things and then they were ready.
He got up out of his chair and approached the replicator. "Tea, white, hot." He said, ordering a drink. Once it materialised, Steve took the drink and went back to his desk and sat down again. As soon as he sat down, his terminal beeped to indicate that he had an incoming message.
Steve typed in his security code and began to read the message. It was from Starfleet Command regarding his orders for the Olympia's new mission. Steve scrolled through the message and then paused at the last section. Starfleet Command had given him authorisation to carry out a test that he wanted to do on the Olympia, and upon reading that Steve grinned and leaned back in his chair so far that he nearly fell off it.
'Best get the ball rolling then.' He thought as he opened up the comms.
=/\= All personnel of the USS Olympia, this is Captain Smith. Today is the last day of your shoreleave. Please make your way back to the ship and be ready to report in tomorrow morning. Until then, enjoy. Smith out. =/\=
Steve cut the comms and took a few sips of his boiling hot tea. He blew on it a few times to cool it and was just taking another sip as his door chimed.
'Wow, I seem popular today.' He thought, and laid his cup on the desk.
"Enter." He called out, wondering who was on the other side.
OOC: Tagging me is fine....mainly because I generally don't like people using my character unless under certain circumstances! lol. Also the mission will be starting in the next day or so, so for now just finish up what you guys are doing, and I will create the new mission thread back on ship soon.

As Daniel enter he was surprised by the amount of Padds piled up on the desk ~and I thought I had it bad~ remembering why he was here he began “Lieutenant junior grade Daniel Biers, reporting in sir” watching the captain nod to acknowledge him he continued “I am sorry to add more to this pile but here is my report of the evaluations for medical and engineering, nothing to be concerned about, mostly normal sir”
<Tag Captain>
“I will await the announcement then, it will be a pleasure working for you sir” leaving the ready room Dan made his way back to his quarters so that he could rest up for whatever the mission would bring.
Arriving at his quarters he quickly throws himself onto the bed and fell into a deep sleep.

(OOC This is based just after Danny has left and also i am posting as ensign still, because in this thread i started as ensign and it would be a bit wiered one minute Ensign the next LTJG)
Bezan heard the announcement over the comm system and decided to make his way to the captain, he was already onboard and eager to work. He left his quaters and made his way to the bridge.
AS he stepped into the turbo lift he wandered what the next assignment would bring to him and the crew, weather they would uncover a new species or technology or maybe just a battle.
He stepped of the turbo lift as soon as it stopped and it's destination. As he was about to enter the captains ready room he saw Danny and they exchanged pleasentries, He clearly stated the fact that he was tired so they made plans for a drink together, Non Alcoholic this time, and said goodbye.
He pressed the buzzer for the for the captains ready room and entered when he was requested.
"Sir, Ensign Bezan Trul reporting for duty and requesting permission to come aboard sir"

Tiberian smiled back at the doctor. "Thanks very much Doctor. No offence, but God willing, I don't hope to see too much of you in the near future. Though I have to admit you look a lot nicer than some of the other doctoes I've served with. At least you haven't tried to skin me, give me terrible plastic surgery or tried to end my career. Yet, anyway" Tiberian smiled, and nodding at the doctor again, made his way to the door. As it opened, he turned back to Black. "Sergeant, if Charleston can't train for the next few days, put him to a good use. Perhaps the good doctor here has some paperwork he could be doing" And with that he left. Going back to his quarters, Tiberian decided to make a conscious effort to unpack and get sorted as quickly as possible. He set about putting his room to rights, sorting clothes, weapons, miscellaneous gear, and smuggled alcohol into different drawers. As he pottered away, a message came over the comms. =/\= All personnel of the USS Olympia, this is Captain Smith. Today is the last day of your shoreleave. Please make your way back to the ship and be ready to report in tomorrow morning. Until then, enjoy. Smith out. =/\= `Well that's just marvellous` Tiberian thought sarcastically, stuffing a bottle of Romulan ale at the bottom of his underwear drawer. The second he turned up, shoreleave ended. He must be a bad luck charm. He stood and smoothed himself off, picking up his kit belt and re-fastening it. His phaser and stun baton were there, but his knife had seemingly vanished. A few minutes of poking found it amongst a mixture of padds, having obviously being stowed absent mindedly. He exited the room and headed down the corridor to the Captain's quarters. `Two visits in as many hours`Tiberian thought, he was beginning to look needy. But nonetheless, ne should probably ask about the mission before the briefing. At least, that's what he though XO's should do, but that was about to be found out. He chimed the door and was admitted. There were two unknown officers present in addition to the Captain, a Lieutenant and an Ensign. Tiberian smiled an nodded at them both, coming to attention before the Captain. "Should I just call the rest of the senior staff now sir, we could have a knees up" he smiled before returning to busines "I just came to ask about the mission, sir"

As the doors to his Ready Room opened, Steve saw a young Lieutenant JG walk in.
"Lieutenant junior grade Daniel Biers, reporting in sir” said the officer.
'Biers?' Steve thought, trying to remember who his was without looking him up. 'Ah, the new counselor.'
“I am sorry to add more to this pile but here is my report of the evaluations for medical and engineering, nothing to be concerned about, mostly normal sir”
Steve rolled his eyes and looked at the pile of padds already on his desk. He had actually finished the reports on them, but Mr Biers here didn't need to know that. He just took the padd from him and placed it on his desk.
"Thank you, Lieutenant, and welcome to the Olympia. I will be announcing a senior staff briefing shortly, so it would be best if you went back to your quarters for now and made sure you are ready for your first day on duty."
"I will await the announcement then, it will be a pleasure working for you sir”
Steve just nodded, but before Biers could turn to leave, the door chimed. "Enter." Steve called out.
"Sir, Ensign Bezan Trul reporting for duty and requesting permission to come aboard sir"
'How many more people to report in?' Steve idly thought, while making a mental note to get his new XO to deal with all crew that are reporting in from now on. Again, he had to think to remember who this was. 'Trul....Trul....AH, Ensign Trul..the new Chief Engineer.'
"Welcome aboard Ensign." Steve replied. He was just about to say something further when his door chimed again. 'Who now?' He thought, wondering if he should just keep his door constantly open. He cast a glance at Lieutenant Biers, who hadn't managed to leave yet. Sighing, Steve called out "Enter."
In walked Tiberian, the new XO....back again after only about an hour or so.
"Should I just call the rest of the senior staff now sir, we could have a knees up"
"Actually, Mr Biers here was just leaving." Steve replied and nodded to Biers, indicating that he could now leave. Once he was out of the room the door shut behind him and Steve went to sit back behind his desk again.
"I just came to ask about the mission, sir"
"All in due course Major. Normally I would discuss this with my XO before we had the actual briefing, but this time it is going to be a little different. You will find out what I mean in the briefing." Steve replied, with a sly grin.
"Now, seeing as both of you are here, there is something I need to do. Mr Trul..." Steve said, while looking at the ensign. "...I do not believe that it is appropriate that we have an Ensign running the Engineering dept on the Olympia." Steve then fumbled around for a small box and pushed it across his desk.
"Therefore, I am promoting you to Lieutenant, Junior Grade. Congratulations."

OOC: The new mission is now underway, so please make your way over to the ship board! You may still tie up all loose threads here though as well. S. Smith (Capt)
