"Captain Park the Klingon bird of prey's engines are going to breach in 20 seconds. We are in position to protect you, but I don't know how long we can hold them off if this becomes a shooting match. I hope you have experience in diplomacy, otherwise this won't end well."
Captain Jon Park looked at Admiral Janeway and said "Admiral you and i need to talk about why your in command of the top secret starship, but first if i may." Jon motioned to the command chair. Admiral Janeway tapped her commbadge "All hands we have Klingon's in the Nebula, Red Alert."
Park looked at the command screen "status of the bird of prey, is it still in the Nevada's tractor beam?"
<Tag open>
"Hail the Nevada." Park said and then he saw his XO Commander Cohan on the view screen. "Commander i believe we need to push the Bird of Prey into the path of the small fleet coming to us."
<Tag Cohan>
Admiral Janeway moved to the command area, "Captain I am sorry to hide this from you, But i had to test new tech for the Federation." Park looked at his family friend "Admiral i think we need to get out of here. Park to the Nevada, set course out of the Nebula and engage at warp 4 once we clear the Nebula."
Park felt the ship turn and move out of the nebula he heard one of his officers report the Bird of pray that had been in the nebula first explode, The other ships were disabled and they left the nebula and went to warp."
============================================
5 hours later Starbase 47 sector
Captain Jon Park stood at the Ready Room door and tapped the door comm. "Enter." He wasn't going to like what he had to do but it was his duty. He entered and saw his sister and Admiral Janeway stood inside the door. "Ah Captain Please come in." Jon entered and he moved to a couch inside. "I have to tell you the truth about this whole mission. It was a test for your sister, and the Nevada got caught in it. You see this ship is part of the Starfleet intelligence division. The Dignity." Park looked up as she said the name. "Yes Captain the Optha is the name any ship would get back from scans or looking at the hull."
Park realized right away what that meant. "My sister is going into the Intelligence division i take it." Macey moved to him, "Its a chance to get out of the Family line." Jon knew what she meant he wasn't planning to stay in the Operation's field but he had to remain after Captain Nack had left.
"Admiral Janyway i am sorry i had ruined your mission, but as a Great Captain once said we don't choose the mission the mission chooses us." Park said and he looked at his sister one last time before he said "Permission to Disembark." Janeway looked at him, "Permission granted."
Park moved to the door "Admiral the Nevada is always here to help should you need us, That goes for you as well Lieutenant Park." Jon left the Ready room and headed to the turbolift and went to the transporter room. Leaveing the ship he wondered if he would ever see the ship again.

"Captain Gotha prepare a boarding party we may need to take one of those ships."
"Aye," Gotha said, and stepped back to remove himself from the bridge. Cohen and the other officers went studiously about their duties, as the turbolift doors slid closed and took the impostor marine down through the ship.
He'd send Sergeant Hyalir to board the ship; there were things that he needed to do.

"Yes, Captain, the tractor beam is still in place," Seth reported from the secret vessel's Ops console. He waited passively, hands playing gently over the console, as Park contacted the USS Nevada to set up the trap.
Soon they were pushing their way through the nebula along with their Akira class home vessel, leaving the Klingon craft in their wake. Weapon array kills registered on the tactical console that Seth had temporarily taken over. The ships wouldn't be pursuing them any longer.
Seth was feeling somewhat bemused. He didn't know Klingons that well, but he did know that the Federation were currently at peace with them. It was an uneasy alliance, yes, but the official stance was one of peace. He eyed the viewscreen - which displayed an aft view - uneasily, observing how the quartet of Klingon vessels broke off and headed in the opposite direction to the two Starfleet ships'. He decided that if he was persecuted by the Federation - as he had been - he would have something to say about it.
Five hours later, Seth and Dunowin were stood on the Nevada's bridge as the ship neared Starbase 47. Captain Park was holding conference with Admiral Janeway aboard the Optha. "Commander Dunowin," Helacaan said, "How would you describe what just happened?"
"Lieutenant?"
"Even if those Klingons were part of a splinter group, should we be surprised we didn't cause a major diplomatic incident with the Empire?" Seth looked back at the viewscreen. "It all seems very... irresponsible."

OOC: I've split this post into two. Sincere apologies for the total length. I wanted to close this Gotha chapter in the right way. Feel free to respond.
"Thank you, Sergeant. Your debrief needn't be so long as you didn't actually begin the boarding operation. You're dismissed." Gotha nodded urgently to his Sergeant. He didn't have time for this meticulous Andorian.
"Yes, Captain." Hyalir hovered before him, looking like a simulation on pause. "Just one more thing, sir, the quartermaster reports that our rifles are being upgraded to spec XI in light of -"
"Disappear, Sergeant Hyalir!" Gotha boomed. Hyalir, being Andorian, didn't quickly scuttle away, but stood a little taller, bristling with clear anger, before eventually departing the marine briefing room and leaving the impostor Captain in peace.
Gotha sighed, and with it the pretence of order and authority slipped away. He decided he would be the marine captain no longer. He'd be who he was meant to be, here on this vessel, the mercenary recruited by George Bersoc's agents to infiltrate Starfleet and find Seth Helacaan.
He made for the holodeck, carrying with him an equipment belt that held his sidearm. Unbeknownst to him, the security officers that'd been watching him - as per Captain Park's orders - were alerted to his leaving the marine section of the ship with a weapon. He called up the program in question at the holodeck door, and quickly entered.
He turned to the panel set in the arch. "Computer, deactivate safety protocols. And lock holodeck door when Lieutenant Helacaan steps through." He took out the illegal data-key he'd been given and manipulated the panel, programming a flag officer-level authorisation into the commands he'd just entered. No one below that level would be able to override the commands.
Gotha turned to the simulation before him, grimacing as the hot arid wind blew into his face. The virtual deserts beyond the mesa stretched out into miserable greyness. He started ascending the rock-face before him, using the handholds if he needed to to pull himself up. It amused him that Helacaan had such an interest in climbing, and it amused him even more that the man's shady superiors were using it as a 'wall' of security. At the top of the rock there stood - silhouetted against the simulated Wezean star - a figure.

OOC: This is the second part of the post that concludes the Gotha chapter.
Seth surveyed the land around. The grey mirages rolled back to the horizon, a distant township darkly lining a patch of it - and from it billowing clouds of smoke rising into the hot, blasted air. Simulated civil clashes, he knew. The Rectifiers were studious in their attention to detail.
He had to make to the rock-face once more, had to acquire this information in a way free from the interfering hands of some mercenary. Seth had fixed the program as best he could, reinstated the missing instructional narrative. It had been corrupted but he had found it. He knew the words would be broken and distorted, and parts would be missing, but there had been no choice.
Two people were waiting at the summit of the rock-face. Seth looked on in surprise. "Who..." Had the program warped this badly?
"Mr. Helacaan..." one of the figures responded, his features lost in his own silhouette. "At last."
Seth stepped closer and saw that the figure that spoke wore a marine uniform. "Who are you?" Seth said, swallowing the words of venom he'd prepared for the other silhouette. The marine said nothing. "Computer, identify the marine simulation."
~ Command invalid, there is no UFP marine simulation in holodeck 1. ~
"I'm not a simulation, Lieutenant. Don't you recognise your new senior marine, Captain Gotha?" the man smiled grimly, and turned to the other figure. "He doesn't recognise me!" The simulated figure didn't reply.
"I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you, until now." Thoughts started unfolding in Seth's head, and soon the realisation planted itself onto his consciouness. "You're the one who deleted the narrative." Gotha smiled at him. "I thought I'd lost you at the Starbase. Your deletion algorithms left a surprising signature in the logs."
Gotha's smile faded, the Wezean sun barely allowing for Seth to resolve the contrast in the man's face. "I knew those subroutines were dodgy," Gotha said, "We shouldn't really be using Wezean protocols in Federation databases. Yes, Lieutenant, I deleted the narrative. I couldn't let you finish reading it, and I can't stop until I know exactly what you do know, and who told you."
"Is that right?" Seth itched to have a phaser by his side, and then with a shock realised that Gotha carried a weapon.
"Yes, Gotha replied, and turned to the motionless figure beside him. "This spritely fellow isn't feeling very talkative, Helacaan. Perhaps there's a little buzzword you can utter that will set him off?"
"Charlatan," Seth said quietly. The nameless simulation adjusted his stance, and slowly started speaking - measured and cryptic, with the occasional derisive sneer - just like before. Two minutes went by, with nothing but the man's voice and the sound of the hot wind for company.
"- and fourthly, you must contact the munitions department at Yaon to have the latest wargear shipped to the third colony in the -"
"Interesting... Very interesting," Gotha said, but didn't seem particularly interested at all.
"Who recruited you, Gotha?" Seth said.
"- Fifth, arrange for yourself, yes, yourself to be transported to Nnahus, where y- you- you will contact the pre-mentioned minor members of the cursed Naal Con- Con- Conglomerate. They will pass to you secUrghiiityrtrty details for the -"
"Not for you to know. Have you seen all this?" Gotha asked. Seth shook his head. "No, I didn't think so. It's a little warped. Let me see if I can just..." Gotha went for his pocket and pulled out a small black object that looked something like an encryption key. He fiddled with it, apparently able to adjust the remaining narrative to account for the corruption. Seth saw his chance.
He leapt at Gotha, taking the impostor completely by surprise and crashing him down to the grey-orange surface of the summit. The data-key flew from the impostor's hand, skipping across the ground and over the edge. In the floor-bound scuffle, Seth managed to free one of his arms and he punched hard at the marine's jaw. Gotha's head snapped back and he groaned as Seth tore himself away and rose to his feet. Gotha righted himself sharply, but before he could stand back up Seth lashed out with a kick to the ribs. He leant and pulled Gotha's sidearm out of its holster as the man doubled over, and he aimed it at the marine as he backed away. Rapidly he started descending the rock face, trying to keep the weapon trained on the lip of the summit above him. Suddenly the sun seemed to blot out of existence.
A crunching, blaring hurt assailed Seth's senses and he felt the sudden sickening lurch of untempered gravity pulling him down. Still dazed from whatever had struck his head, he didn't see the ground until he'd hit it. Senses scrambled fast to comprehend what'd happened, driven on by the urgency of the situation, and he looked around to find himself sprawled on the plateau below the summit. The rock face reared above him, the Wezean star topping it like some bright jewel in a stone crown. He'd fallen about twelve feet, and now he saw the green figure of Gotha, descending towards him as fast as it was able.
He dragged himself to his feet, head spinning and aching beyond belief. A burning pain that ran with red sticky material infested his cranium. Gotha had tossed a rock down on him. He looked about him for the marine sidearm, but it was gone.
"Arch!" he screamed. The exit appeared ten feet away and he ran for it, the door opening mercifully quick to let him free. He stumbled out, surprised to find a quartet of security guards just arriving.
Gotha collapsed on his knees just short of the arch, his mind lost in bewilderment at having seen the door sliding clear open for Lieutenant Helacaan. He raged in frustration. "No!! The door was locked!"
The mercenary scrabbled to his feet and dived for the door. And shockingly smacked into its unmoving frame, sent sprawling to the ground again. "What the hell?!" He grimaced in pain and rubbed at his forehead. The only explanation... the only one... Seth Helacaan must've arrived first. When Gotha himself had entered the holodeck, Helacaan had already been there. What had he been doing in the mean time? Contemplating his covert acts? Talking to himself? Oh, how ridiculously unfortunate... Almost funny. With little other thought, and sighing once more to dust off the weight of his duties, Gotha started laughing.
His inane cachinnations joined with the hot wind, providing the only sound as the doors started peeling back and Commander Draco's security started stepping through. Seth brought up the rear, hand held to his head.

"I couldn't tell you, Lt. My best friend in the Academy was a Klingon and to this day, they still confuse the hell out of me." Dun admitted.
With that, he left the bridge and headed back down to Engineering. He was still thinking about some of the classified material he had seen on the other vessel and had wished like mad that he could have kept his tricorder running.
"What a loss." he mumbled as he entered his department.
"What's that, Commander?" his assistant Bob asked from a close by station.
Shaking out of his "daydream", Dun slightly startled.
"Oh. Nothing, Bob. Just thinking out loud again."
Dun walked into his office and sat down.
