{yeah I bet you do}
Savin was on his way back to engineering, the damaged sensor array in his hand. Damaged, from ripping it from it's place, not necessarily from the attacks. The Vulcan was so busy scanning, he didn't even notice that people were starting to avoid him. Even if he had noticed, he probably wouldn't minded either, as they would've originally been in his direct path anyway.
The Vulcan was unarmed, save for his tricorder - which could be used to bash someone's head in - and the sensor - would could be used for an equal purpose - other than that, he simply had his hands full.
He rounded a corner, the last one before the corridor would take him to main engineering, and nearly collided with a security guard. "My apologies," the Vulcan murmured, clearly irritated at being disrupted. When the guard raised his weapon at him, Savin responded more in an act of self-preservation than actual resistance. He let the tricorder drop from his hand and applied a nerve-pinch to the startled guard's shoulder. He eased the guard back to the deck, picked up his tricorder, and continued his way.
Just before entering engineering, he was forced to apply the same technique a second time, though this time the poor guard in question also suffered a neat punch to his jaw. "What is it with people today," Saving scowled to himself, "raising up arms against fellow officers. Can they not see I have no time for games?"
He dumped the sensor on his desk, stuffed the tricorder aside and picked up a toolbox. Within seconds, he had taken the sensor array apart, it's parts strewn across the deck. He was so engrossed in his task, that he never noticed several guards, led by Kavrin Los, enter his office. When he did look up, his right arm raised while holding a spanner, he found several rifles aimed at him. "Commander?" he asked, confusion briefly visible in his eyes, before annoyance returned. "I do not have time for games commander," he snapped, trying to push past him to get back in main engineering, "I have work to do. The deflector array has been repaired, but I still have other tasks to attend to."
He brushed past the guards, spanner still in hand and tried to make for the warp-core. He wasn't consciously resisting anything, he was merely attempting to get his work done, with the least amount of interruptions. Yet, something at the back of his mind warned him that something was terribly wrong. You are not yourself, it said, but the Vulcan ignored it. For now. After all, did he not just repair sensors? Give the ship back her sight? Spanner still raised in his right hand, Savin reached for the small black pouch at his waist, opening it with two fingers while drawing a hypospray from it with two other fingers. He twirled it around in his fingers, idly staring at it, wondering what he was supposed to do with it again.

Thalin Zarath had accepted the tape/data disk and started to insert it into the partially operative computer console. He had turned off some unnecessary data processing functions, such as the checksum bit rewrite. He could manually check data, and do mathematical corrections in his head. As he continued to view the device, he finally stood up and placed the aforementioned tape into his utility belt, snidly remarking to himself that he would eventually need to have a uniform with some sort of pocket.
Actually, it would seem that Starfleet was resistant to ever installing pockets into a uniform, and thus, he was always finding himself without them. Strange, he though, considering the line of work that Starfleet officers were in.
Moving out of his position, he made it up to Savin and nodded, removing the aforementioned device from his belt, "I believe you are correct."
“Well that causes us even more problems, to last I checked the Romulan’s cloak does not work to well while in a high energy environment, like this nebula for example, that has been the trick security used to find their ships before now, which means they must have found a way to counteract that problem, so I guess Thalin had better come up with a new method for finding them”
The abovementioned Andorian smirked a bit, looking behind him to face Los who had stated the previous comment, "After seeing that data, I am already trying to come up with a scheme. That sort of thing is not as easy as you believe it is, I assure you. Anyways, do you have any ideas yourself? I was thinking of tieing the computer power of various hand-held devices together, i.e. the man portable tricorder devices."
||||
Along the way, he flipped open his communicator. "Commander Zarath, any new leads where my data is concerned? If I am to properly do my duty as chief engineer, I would appreciate some co-operation.”
Thalin removed his own communicator, frowning, “I am here, and I never said that I was not going to cooperate with you. Forgive me, but I am unsure where you developed that idea from. Instead, I am quite sure that I have agreed with your conclusions on the device, and the fact that the vessels are indeed in the configuration that you have previously stated. Now we are to detect the sort of configurations and such, correct?”

Savin was starting to wonder whether anyone had brains on this vessel. Naturally, since his realisation that something was wrong, his own thoughts had started to trail. He was quite aware of the weapons still on them, and he had the feeling Los wasn't going to just walk away and leave him to his duties.
With that in mind, he continued to walk to the warpcore, pretending that the Trill wasn't even there. "Yes commander, that was the idea," he replied tiredly, "and as sensors have been repaired and ought to be fully functional, you can start your scans at any time." He snapped the communicator shut and replaced it at his belt.
Finally at a loss as to what to do with the hypospray again, he started to put it away. He needed his hands to correct a slight discrepancy in the warp field. Yet, what had he needed the spanner for again? Frowning, he stared at it for a moment, the turned back. His way back to the office was barred, and he froze. "I presume you have your own duties, commander Los?" he replied irritably, "instead of keeping your weapons on me. You might wish to explain that, before I decide to file a complaint against you." His hand went back to his communicator, but he didn't retrieve it just yet. Instead, he forcibly shouldered his way past two of the guards, roughly shoving them aside. "Out of my way," he snapped, "can you not see I am busy?"

His hand went back to his communicator, but he didn't retrieve it just yet. Instead, he forcibly shouldered his way past two of the guards, roughly shoving them aside. "Out of my way," he snapped, "can you not see I am busy?" Kavrin had had enough, he turned to face the Vulcan and spoke clearly “Lieutenant Junior Grade Savin, by my power as Chief of security i am placing you under arrest for strike a superior officer. You will place both of those items on the ground or my men WILL open fire.” Kavrin made particular effort on the word will as he was going to either end up shooting the lieutenant or dragging him to a secure place. “Now you have a choice right now, you can either accept you are under arrest, and we will seal you in your quarters, or you can try to fight your way out, but if you do i will upgrade the charge to treason and order my men to shoot to kill.” Kavrin smiled as he spoke fully aware that no self respecting Vulcan would dare challenge the word of law, and if he did then he was not a Vulcan and hence was a threat to the ship. “So Lieutenant, which shall it be?”

"Arrest? Treason?" Savin turned back to face the Trill, an odd sneer on his face. "Prove it," he challenged, crossing his arms over his chest, "how am I a traitor, when I work very hard to keep this vessel operational? I have not had any rest since we were stranded here, I have barely eaten anything. I got shot at in a shuttlecraft, and hindered in my profession. How does that add up to being a traitor?"
The Vulcan clenched his hands into fists, then willed them to relax. Idiot, he thought, you have nothing. He then gestured towards the debris on his desk, briefly distracting the guards. Then he drew his communicator and threw it full force at the nearest officer, striking him full against his temple. The guard dropped without a sound. "I shall not be confined when I have done nothing wrong," he snapped, turned on his heels and started striding away.
Instinctively, he ducked; just in time as a red beam streaked by, boring a hole in the wall. "Idiots!" the Vulcan snarled, "do you want to blow us up!?" He whirled around, making for his waist before he remembered he had no weapon on him. Nothing but the hypo's left, and they didn't make very usable projectiles. Yet, he threw them anyway, dodging another shot from a guard. He ducked between the consoles and other equipment, for the moment safely guarded from the security officers.
He needed to buy time, but he had no time to even concoct any sort of plan. Had everyone gone crazy? Was he the only one who saw the dangers here? He scrambled to his feet, darting for the door but he found his way blocked. He whirled, but the other way was blocked too. Effectively, he was trapped. Angry, he launched himself at Los, trying for a nerve pinch.

Captain Alyana Ryat (Main Engineering)
"He was much more aggressive then i would have expected for a Vulcan, too emotional. But he did say he needed to take his medication soon, maybe he is being affected or is more overdue than he thinks." Kavrin stopped and then had a worrying thought "Or what if we have not been boarded since we arrived in the nebula instead the Romulan spy was already on board, in disguise as our Chief Engineer? He is presently going to the sensors and if he is a spy he could make us blind, or worse give away our position. I am going after him, i will ensure he is in the brig either way, i just will not guarantee he will be in one piece" Aly winced as she heard her security chief's words, she hadn't known Lieutenant Savin long but she did like him and she had always believed that she was a good judge of character.
"Don't do anything rash, Commander. Lt Savin's beghaviour may be a further affect of the Romulan weapon that hit us." There was no reply. Commander Los had gone. Aly stabbed the close comm button with more force than was necessary and went to locate Ensign Thelev.
She did not see the CEO reenter engineering and was unaware of the confrontation taking place until she heard "Arrest? Treason?" Savin turned back to face the Trill, an odd sneer on his face. "Prove it," he challenged, crossing his arms over his chest, "how am I a traitor, when I work very hard to keep this vessel operational? I have not had any rest since we were stranded here, I have barely eaten anything. I got shot at in a shuttlecraft, and hindered in my profession. How does that add up to being a traitor?" ringing across engineering. Aly hurred over to try to stamp some authority on the situation. She arrived just in time to see one of the security officers shoot at Savin and miss, she could only hope the phaser was set to stun. Savin turn yelling savagely, she had never heard a Vulcan sound like that.
The CEO launched himself at Commander Los. "Watch out Kavrin" Aly shouted, years of diplomatic training allowed her to make herself heard but she had stayed in her native tongue, she hoped that if there was any time at all her words would trigger the Commander's reflexes.
Time stretched in a horrifying fashion and she could do nothing else but watch.

Petty Officer Second Class Laura Fernandez (Sick Bay)
I have not, i have been though a large electrical shock a couple of times but nothing more than anyone else would go though in their lives" Russell said "Is there anything that you can see that sets me apart, i can't think of anything that has happened before now that could do that?"
Laura did not know how to answer that question. He was a mystery, Laura did not know how to explain it. She sighed and started another scan. At least he was co operative.
"As far as we have been able to tell so far, this energy bolt or whatever it was locked all the humans on the ship in REM sleep." Her words were partially for Ensign Davis's benefit but largely so she could talk out her ideas. "For some reason at least some of your neurological functions are functioning on a different 'frequency' to normal for humans. I didn't think that sort of neurological re-programming was even possible but it has clearly happened to you somehow. If we can work out how this came about we might be able to replicate it and wake up the crew."
The scanner beeped at her, she checked the results and then sighed once more. "Unfortunately so far you are reading as a perfectly healthy perfectly average human. I guess we have to take a step back, have you ever suffered any severe blows to the head, been rendered unconscious or suffered any energy arcing through you." She imagined as he was a security officer there would be quite a list in answer to this question."

I have not had any rest since we were stranded here, I have barely eaten anything. I got shot at in a shuttlecraft, and hindered in my profession. How does that add up to being a traitor?" Kavrin looked at the Vulcan “It will if you resist arrest” Savin looked at his desk as if he had not heard Kavrin speak, then it all happened, Savin threw the communicator that had been in his hand at Ensign Tega sending him falling to the ground, Kavrin watched as another officer opened fire almost hitting the coolant pipe instead of the engineer. “Stop you idiot or you will hit the core” the lieutenant instantly realised and did not fire again. Kavrin looked at the situation, at the moment Savin was well protected by the warp core in the fact that they could not shoot him. Kavrin looked around, each exit was guarded and there would be no escape for Savin now. Kavrin turned to look at the Vulcan’s hiding place when he heard someone speak in Trill "Watch out Kavrin" Kavrin did not know who spoke but he suddenly realised that Savin was no longer hiding behind the consol but was charging straight at him. Kavrin did not have time to think, he knew he did not have time enough to train his weapon on him to shoot, so instead used the rifle as a club and launched the nose of the weapon directly at Savin’s ever approaching body.
Kavrin’s blow hit its mark, but did not stop Savin from reaching out and griped Kavrin’s shoulder, Kavrin felt faint when a beam of light hit Savin in the back causing him to lose his grip and fell to the ground. Kavrin also fell to the ground but did not lose consciousness like the Vulcan, Kavrin felt extremely weak but he knew that Los was fine and that he would recover in time. “Lieutenant, take him to the brig and keep him there, no one and i mean no one is to approach him without my personal permission” The lieutenant nodded before ordering two other security officer to assist dragging the Vulcan to the brig. Kavrin looked up his view obscured, he saw a woman appear above him, he suddenly realised who had spoken before. “Captain, i guess we have a court marshal to do later ma’am, for now though i think i will speak later” Kavrin thought he heard Alyana speak but he could not make out her words as he finally succumbed to the effects of the Vulcan nerve pinch.

-- Lieutenant Commander Ju Taka, Andorian Male, Point of View
Ju did not like the order but he had to accept it, “you two, come here and help me take the CEO to the brig” Ju had the two pick up the Vulcan, he did not know their names but as they picked up Savin he lost interest in the search of their names as they began the trip to the brig. Ju looked at the presently unconscious body of Savin and wondered if he truly was a traitor or some miss guided fool who almost got himself killed. But it was not Ju’s place to think such things and as they entered the brig he forgot that he had even thought of it. “Ok put him in the brig ... ok get out and raise the brig shield” Ju ordered the security officers as he took his place behind the security control consol and began placing the shield up on the brig cell. Ju whispered to himself “I hope you do not cause any trouble”.

Russell had a thought, ‘what if the time travel really did cause it’ “Well hits to the head i have had a fair few but that’s no different to any other security officer. Energy on the other hand, there was one occasion, it was on a transport ship almost 7 years ago, we were travelling though to Vulcan when our ship got hit by a spacial disruption, knocked the ships systems off line and gave everyone on board a good electric shock for it” Russell knew this was not true, the disruption was in time not in space, but the shock was true, he still felt the searing pain deep down, his first officer had told him that it was likely a side effect of the temporal rift and said that while he was fine she was dying from its effects. “I have no idea if that helps at all?”

The Vulcan recoiled when the barrel of the rifle smashed against the side of his face, leaving a deep gash that copiously bled green. Yet his lunge was not deterred and the fingers of his right hand made contact with the proper place at the base of Los' neck. At that same instant, he felt something strike his lower back and pain lanced out through his body while it careened forward with it's already existing momentum in that direction. He had lost consciousness before his body struck the deck.
He was blissfully unaware when he was carried to the brig and unceremoniously dumped on the cot. The guards hadn't exactly been gentle with him along the way.
Savin didn't know how much time had passed when he finally opened his eyes again. He groaned as he tried to move, but his body wouldn't co-operate with his mind's instructions. Pressing a hand against his head, he stared biologically when it came away green. For a while, he remained stationary on the cot, allowing his body to regain control over it's motor functions.
When he felt better, he rose from the cot, walking over to the screen that prevented him from getting out. Outside, the guard sneered at him. "I want to speak with Ensign Thelev th'Shras, immediately," he demanded harshly. The guard merely laughed at him and turned his back, uttering a snide comment about Romulans having no rights.
"I am Vulcan," Savin snapped back, while pacing the cell like a caged animal. "And I have work to do. Who will monitor the engines? The sensor array that I just repaired? Did Zarath manage to decipher my data? Is it workable?" So many questions, and so little time.
He whirled towards the screen, losing his balance and crashing into the wall, hard. "I want to see the captain," he finally demanded, pressing his hand against his temple again. "And a medic!"

Lieutenant Commander Ju Taka, Point of View
Ju was pleased when Savin regained consciousness he knew that soon things were going to go bad very quickly "I want to speak with Ensign Thelev th'Shras, immediately," he demanded harshly. Ju laughed and turned around to check his orders on the main consol in the brig, Ju whispered under his breath “I hope this does not end up with him being a Romulan, he has sprit, for a Vulcan”. Ju was shocked when Savin snapped "I am Vulcan," Savin snapped back, while pacing the cell like a caged animal. "And I have work to do. Who will monitor the engines? The sensor array that I just repaired? Did Zarath manage to decipher my data? Is it workable?" He whirled towards the screen, losing his balance and crashing into the wall, hard. "I want to see the captain," he finally demanded, pressing his hand against his temple again. "And a medic!" Ju spoke calmly “Calm down Lieutenant or you will injure yourself even more. I will try to answer your questions, let’s see, the senior most engineer not presently out of it or under arrest is in charge and doing those tasks. Commander Zarath’s Work is not your concern right now. The captain is fully aware you are here and will see you once Commander Los has briefed her on whatever charges he has brought against you, sadly your attack did some damage and he is unable to speak, so until then you are under arrest so do not expect to be leaving anytime soon. And on the last point, i summoned a doctor when you were placed in the brig and hey will get here when they can. Now if that will be all Lieutenant could you please stop pacing so much and wait for the doctor or captain to arrive please” Yu hoped he did not cause any more trouble as he did not want to have to stun him.

-- Kavrin’s POV
Kavrin woke suddenly in sickbay with a nurse hovering over him “Where is Savin?” was the first and only thought on his mind right now, the nurse said that security had him and asked him to rest a while but Kavrin got up, “I have work to do and right now i have a possible Romulan to interrogate.” Kavrin did not get far when he came face to face with the captain “Captain, i hope you are all right after that little fight in Engineering. I guess you want to know what charges i have to place against Savin and hence why i have removed him, Well under Star fleet Security code 16 paragraph 6, i am required to ensure that any altercations against senior officers are dealt with, under Star Fleet General Regulations if any officer who has been told to submit by the Chief of security on charges and refuses, will be arrested and a formal investigation launched. Now i have him on charges of striking a superior officer on two counts, resisting arrest and defying orders from a superior officer and the chief of security, by his actions in resisting arrest put the lives of all the crew at risk and that is just for starters, with that in mind he will be held in the brig under General Regulations until such time as a formal hearing can be arranged and representation can be gained for Mr Savin.” Kavrin took a breath and looked at the shocked Aly “I hope i have covered everything, under the regulations i do have the authority to remove Savin from duty, i cannot removing him as Chief Engineer as only you can do that or Command but he will not be living the brig until either a hearing or a general order to abandon ship is given.”
<Tag Aly>
Kavrin listened to the captain but as she began to speak about her concerns another security officer came up and spoke to Kavrin “Sorry to intrude sire, captain, but we found Lieutenant Commander Jatok near deflector control, he was out of it but the docs brought him around, says that he found Savin near the deflector control and before he could challenge Savin, Savin attacked him.” Kavrin shock his head “well that brings striking a superior officer up to three counts, now you were saying captain”

"Commander Zarath's work is my concern," the Vulcan snapped back, while still resting his hand flat against the wall. "Considering the data he processes is my discovery to begin with." He paused, glowering at the young man on the other side of the screen. "I did not attack Commander Los," he finally insisted, "he threatened me, I was defending myself. He was obstructing me in carrying out my duties. He is paranoid ensign, surely you have seen how he behaves towards me?"
The Vulcan felt lightheaded as he tried to focus on the security officer. He had lost the hypospray with insulin in his struggle, and he knew he needed medical attention immediately. He was increasingly thirsty, as the high glucose levels in his blood started to draw fluids from his body's tissues and he was getting dehydrated. He didn't know when he had last eaten, his memory was sufficiently failing him now. His respiration had turned to rapid and deep breaths.
After a few seconds, he turned his attention back to the ensign. "I cannot help but pace," he confessed, "if I so much as rest, I fear I may pass out. I need my medication ensign, please! I am a type one diabetic and if I interpret my symptoms correctly, I am suffering from hyperglycaemia." That probably made no sense to anyone without any knowledge of the affliction. "I need insulin at regular intervals or I will become very ill." He staggered forward a step, reached to catch his balance again as his motor functions were still trying to wear off the effects from the multiple stun shots. His hand fell against the screen and he yanked it back, stiffling a cry.
Shaking off the dizziness, a brief alertness returning to his eyes, he stared at the officer. "It is of vital importance that I return to my duties," he insisted, "there are Romulans out there, preying on this vessel. My expertise is needed to maintain our sensors, as I have just replaced our sensor array with a Romulan one. Without my knowledge to keep an eye on them, the Romulans may very well now know that we know they are there. I MUST tend to them, please!"
All the while he had kept himself in motion, but his thirst was increasing with every second, his mouth had gone dry and he knew he would be in severe trouble any second. When he stopped pacing, he felt a shudder pass through his body, and a second later he collapsed. Once his body fluids were replaced, he would be fine and of sound mind once more. Little however, did he know that the weapon's radiation had started to take it's toll on his alien physiology as well.

The horrible feeling of slow motion continued as Aly watched two of her officers attack each other. Commander Los struck out at Lieutenant Savin with the butt of his phaser rifle just as the CEO's fingers bit into the CSO's shoulder. To her surprise neither man dropped. One of the other security officer fired, the phaser beam striking Savin square in the back. Both officers collapsed to the floor. Aly walked forward hurriedly, it seemed the danger was over for now. Commander Los was still conscious, what's more he was issuing orders as she approached.
“Lieutenant, take him to the brig and keep him there, no one and i mean no one is to approach him without my personal permission” Aly looked down at the security chief. “Captain, i guess we have a court marshal to do later ma’am, for now though i think i will speak later”
"You'll be okay Commander," Aly said, she was going to add further words of encouragement but his eyes rolled back in his head and he fell unconscious. "Get him to sickbay," Aly snapped. "notify me when either one of them wakes up. Also get someone to check out the lieutenant medically."
As her orders were carried out. Aly looked for Ensign Thelev. "Ensign, I need you to check the sensors as they were what Lieutentant Savin was last working on. Also, can you identify that." She pointed to the piece of circuitry that the CEO had dropped."
Tag: Thelev
Aly had expected command to be hard but not this hard. Give her a conference table surrounded by people who hated each other or a room full of politicians who were in their fifth hour of debating article 27 paragraph 15 subsection 4; it would be so much easier.
A few minutes later Aly's communicator bleeped. She flipped it open. "Captain Ryat here," "Captain, it's Petty Officer Fernandez in sickbay here. Commander Los is going to be fine. He should be coming round in the next minute or two if you want to speak to him." "Understood. On my way, Ryat out."
Aly was grateful that not only were the comms working again, so were the turbolifts. She made her way to sickbay and entered just in time to see Kavrin hopping off a biobed.
“I have work to do and right now i have a possible Romulan to interrogate.” It was at this point that he almost ran into Aly standing near the doorway “Captain, i hope you are all right after that little fight in Engineering. It took Aly a second to process all of that information and she was quite impressed that he had managed to deliver the speech with pausing for breath. "I'm fine Commander..." Aly was going to say more but then another security officer entered and updated Commander Los about another attack. Aly's stomach knotted tighter. “well that brings striking a superior officer up to three counts, now you were saying captain”
Aly paused and looked across and Nurse Fernandez. "Has a medic been sent to check on Lieutenant Savin?"
Laura shook her head in response to the Captain's question, "No, sir."
Aly gritted her teeth and swallowed hard she would be having words to find out why that order wasn't followed. She turned back to the security chief. "I am not going to have criminal proceedings started against any member of my crew until I am sure they are in sound mind. Commander, Nurse Fernandez, you're with me, we're going to go and see the Lieutenant, now. Nurse, bring a supply of insulin with you I doubt he's taken his."
"Yessir," Laura ran her words together in her haste. In pure age terms she was older than the Captain but at this second she didn't feel it there was something old and cold in the Captain's eyes and it unnerved her. In any case she didn't not intend to argue with the Captain. She left Russell in the care of another nurse and grabbed a medical kit and an insulin supply. She fell into step behind the Captain and Commander as they left sickbay.

Aly walked into the brig holding area, she had never been here before. "..., the Romulans may very well now know that we know they are there. I MUST tend to them, please!" That was the CEO, although Aly was no medic in her opinion. The Vulcan officer did not look at all well. He collapsed in front of her eyes.
"Lieutenant Savin." Aly said, she was keeping her voice formal, it wasn't as if this had all happened specifically to annoy her. There was no response
"Captain," Laura said. Looking at her tricorder screen. "He's badly hyperglycaemic I need to administer insulin immediately or he will die from it."
"Turn that forcefield off now." Aly snapped. She had a feeling Kavrin was going to argue with her but now was not the time. She looked at the CSO, "I am not going to watch a member of my crew die in front of me when I can do something to help. drop the forcefield. Take what ever precautions you want be get it down now."

Laura was already preparing the necessary treatment. When the field dropped she stepped inside and pressed a hyprospray to the semi-conscious Vulcan's throat. She stepped back, not quite far enough for the field to be re-established but she was paying no attention to that.
"He should start coming round fairly soon."
Aly was relieved at the nurse's words, now maybe they would start getting some answers.

When he came to, Savin found a woman leaning over him, holding a silver-metallic object over his sternum and abdomen. He blinked against the bright light of his cell then struggled to sit up. The woman placed a single hand on his chest, holding him down, without saying a word. Dutifully, and without argument, the Vulcan lay back down. It was probably best that he did, for he still felt dizzy.
Slowly, he searched the little room with his eyes, until they finally came to rest on the young mottled face of the captain. He held his breath as he studied her, knowing from the way she looked that she was both concerned for his well-being as well as possibly angry over something he must've done. Remaining utterly still, trying to control his breathing, Savin searched his memory, wincing when he recalled the previous few hours.
"Captain..." He started, struggling a second time to sit up. This time, the nurse assisted him, while pressing another hypospray against his shoulder. He heard the faint hiss of medication being released into his bloodstream, but paid no further attention to it. "The sensor array, you must remove my repairs at once," he spoke urgently, but fairly calmly.
When he felt strenghtened enough after drinking down a cup of an undefinable fluid, he rose to his feet and sat down on the cot. "While functioning, the sensors should pick up any Romulan vessel or weapon out in the nebula, but as it is of Romulan design, they will also quite clearly be able to track our movements. It is safer to be without long range sensors, than the Romulans to be able to track us."
He shook his head slowly, trying to clear his thoughts. "It may be safer that I remain here," he then offered, "obviously I have fallen under the weapon's spell as well, and I cannot predict further actions on my part. I understand I assaulted Commander Los, and I am prepared to suffer the consequences. While I may not have been of sound mind, I cannot claim sufficient insanity to be able to deflect any charges made against me. Though unaware of the precise charges, I understand if I gave Mr Los probably cause."
The Vulcan straightened, wincing slighly but managing to suppress any further discomfort. "How many phasers struck me, before I was subdued?" he asked ruefully. He looked up at the nurse, returning the cup to her. "May I request further nutrition, and may I request that someone is sent to my quarters to look after Caelir?" At the blank look the nurse cast him, he arched an eyebrow. "Caelir is my feline," he explained gently, "he will be most annoyed when I am released to my quarters."
Nodding once to the helpful nurse, he turned back to Ryat. "Was Commander Zarath able to use my program, to determine the exact origin of the weapon that attacked us? Though detained, I still believe I may be of assistance to him. I understand if you deny my request, but logic demands I make it anyway. I am of better use to you while on duty, than detained here."

-- prior to the captain heading down the brig --
"Ensign, I need you to check the sensors as they were what Lieutentant Savin was last working on. Also, can you identify that." She pointed to the piece of circuitry that the CEO had dropped."
"Yes ma'am," the Andorian engineer replied, his antennae twitching nervously. He was worried about his chief, having witnessed the uncharacteristic attack on the security chief and his men. Still shaken, he shook his head in dismay. "Might I suggest a doctor checks the chief out?" he queried softly, "I think my chief is ill."
He followed the Trill's eyes down to the piece of circuitry that now lay abandoned on the deck. "This ma'am?" he asked, picking it up and scrutinising it. "I'm not quite sure ma'am, this isn't Starfleet issue."
Taking it to a worktable, he examined it more closely. "No, definitely not Starfleet issue. Where did Savin get this? I've not seen anything like this before, but as he'd say, fascinating! I'm not quite sure what it's supposed to do either, perhaps you should ask him?"
One sensor beeped behind him, and the Andorian turned. "Uh-oh, you're not going to like this captain. Sensors tell me it's Romulan." Something else beeped. "Speaking of which, long range sensors say there's something on fast approach, vector 117 mark 06. I'd better head for the bridge."

Though detained, I still believe I may be of assistance to him. I understand if you deny my request, but logic demands I make it anyway. I am of better use to you while on duty, than detained here."
The aforementioned Andorian was soon in the picture, though how he had arrived was heretofore undiscovered. Perhaps this was part of his usual modus operandi and thus simply his usual way. He did not wish to be discovered, nor his methods known. After all, one did not always know whom exactly was going to be one’s enemy later on, and therefore, it behooved one to be silent about such things.
However, this was not to suggest that Thalin Zarath was anything but loyal to his crew. Instead, he understood that on such a trying mission, it was important to remain in some degree of silence so that any interior operative would never be the wiser to whatever he was doing.
Nodding carefully, the aforementioned Andorian contemplated slowly to himself in regards to the entire question that was asked to him, though in his stead.
“I actually do have the exact origins of the weapon, and yes, it is due to your program. However, until you are released, I cannot be sure that I have enacted the algorithm correctly. I would most likely wish for another mathematics minded individual to examine the aforesaid program. Therefore, I do not believe anyone could disagree that the most proper individual to do that with is the one whom wrote the program in the first place.”
Thalin Zarath then continued, looking around to see if his subordinate was around. Apparently the Vulcan whom had occupied the Andorian’s laboratory assistant seat was not around. “Considering Zarok is not here, I am sure that they will release you posthaste…am I correct in this?”

"I do not know, Commander Zarath," the Vulcan replied honestly, "it all depends on what the captain decides, and how invaluable she deems me to be."
Savin sank back on the cot, realising that he might be held indefinitely, or at least until the situation with the Romulan weapon might be resolved. "Perhaps Lieutenant Thelev, my assistant, may be of assistance to you," he offered flatly, "unless the captain will permit me to examine your findings while detained here. I have no computer access here, and therefor, I do not believe to be a danger to this vessel."
He paused. "I regret my previous actions, and I have no acceptable explanation for them. However, I do request thorough examination by both a psychologist and a medical officer. I cannot be fully trusted, until we know what I did what I have done. That said, I truly do want to be of assistance and it is logical to accept any help you can get. I have experience with Romulan technology, and you may need that experience."

OCC: My dear crew my humble apologies for the delay in posting. I hope this makes up for it somewhat.
Main Engineering
"No, definitely not Starfleet issue. Where did Savin get this? I've not seen anything like this before, but as he'd say, fascinating! I'm not quite sure what it's supposed to do either, perhaps you should ask him?" Ensign Thelev said.
"I fully intend to, as soon as he's had medical attention and comes round" She stayed quiet as the engineer continued to work, "Uh-oh, you're not going to like this captain. Sensors tell me it's Romulan." She nodded curtly, somehow keeping a calm expression on her face even as her stomach dropped. Things did not look good for Lieutenant Savin (if that was who he really was).
"Thank-you Lieutenant, please let me know as soon as you are able to determine what its function is." Tag: Thelev
Aly was just to leave engineering when the Andorian spoke again. "Speaking of which, long range sensors say there's something on fast approach, vector 117 mark 06. I'd better head for the bridge." Aly was mid-way through nodding in response when she remembered. "We closed of the bridge so we could consolidate crew down here. She leaned over the engineer's shoulder she'd promised herself that she'd try to avoid doing that but... nevermind. The sensors were working fine but the nebula was still making it tricky to determine exactly what was out there.
She debated with herself for a second then togged the comms. "Unidentifed vehicle this is Captain Ryat of the Federation Starship USS Excalibur please identify yourself."

A while later, The Brig
"The sensor array, you must remove my repairs at once," As words spoken on coming round went that was a new one on Laura, it made no sense to her. She spared a quick glance over her shoulder at the impassive Captain and rather less impassive Security Chief; neither was saying anything. She handed her patient a slow release energy drink with instructions to drink it now. "While functioning, the sensors should pick up any Romulan vessel or weapon out in the nebula, but as it is of Romulan design, they will also quite clearly be able to track our movements. It is safer to be without long range sensors, than the Romulans to be able to track us."
Aly's stomach knotted up even tighter. No doubt Commander Los was all ready adding to the list of charges against the Savin. She stepped back into the corridor outside the brig area and pulled out her communicator.
"Ensign Thelev, this is Captain Ryat. I need you to get to sensor control immediately and undo the modification made by Lieutenant Savin, he says he installed a device of Romulan design that has the 'side effect' of allowing them to track us."

"...made against me. Though unaware of the precise charges, I understand if I gave Mr Los probably cause." Aly returned to he holding area in time to here the last of Savin's words. "How many phasers struck me, before I was subdued?" he asked ruefully.

Laura watched the debate go on, she wasn't exactly sure about the 'sound mind' part but no one had asked her opinion "May I request further nutrition, and may I request that someone is sent to my quarters to look after Caelir?" Laura was at a complete loss, and was not that surprised when he arched an eyebrow. "Caelir is my feline," he explained gently, "he will be most annoyed when I am released to my quarters."
"I will ensure that food taking in to account your dietary requirements is sent down to you." Laura said, she paused for a second, being at a complete loss to deal with a pet.
"I will go to your quarters and check on Caelir," Aly said. No doubt the CSO would be having words with her about it but she remembered Caelir from the briefing and had been intrigued by the animal.

"Was Commander Zarath able to use my program, to determine the exact origin of the weapon that attacked us? Though detained, I still believe I may be of assistance to him. I understand if you deny my request, but logic demands I make it anyway. I am of better use to you while on duty, than detained here."
The FO replied to that, Aly started not having seen him enter.
“Considering Zarok is not here, I am sure that they will release you posthaste…am I correct in this?” Aly wasn't sure for once where the Andorian's logic was coming from but she sensed that the CSO would be having words.
"I do not know, Commander Zarath," the Vulcan replied honestly, "it all depends on what the captain decides, and how invaluable she deems me to be."
Savin sank back on the cot. "Perhaps Lieutenant Thelev, my assistant, may be of assistance to you," he offered flatly, "unless the captain will permit me to examine your findings while detained here. I have no computer access here, and therefore, I do not believe to be a danger to this vessel."
Aly held a hand up keeping everyone to silence, Commander Los looked like he was about to explode. "Commander Zarath, I would like you meet with Lieutenant Thelev, Mr Zarok and Ensign Tarra our new CScO, she should be on board by now, as soon as possible if you decide that you require Lieutenant Savin's assistance then maybe something can be arranged. For now he is staying here."

Savin spoke once again "I regret my previous actions, and I have no acceptable explanation for them. However, I do request thorough examination by both a psychologist and a medical officer. I cannot be fully trusted, until we know what I did what I have done. That said, I truly do want to be of assistance and it is logical to accept any help you can get. I have experience with Romulan technology, and you may need that experience." Aly gave a very curt nod, maybe he spoke the truth but after everything that had happened she just couldn't tell. There was a moment of silence.
Aly stepped towards the door. "Thank you gentlemen, nurse now I know you all have duties to attend to, I ahev a feline to check up on."

"I do not know, Commander Zarath," the Vulcan replied honestly, "it all depends on what the captain decides, and how invaluable she deems me to be."
“That, at least, I do understand,” replied Thalin. “I understand perfectly how that might be the case. Sometimes, it comes down to nothing more than needing administrative approval. Being a Starfleet science officer, I could give some long story or another or cite some scientific example from history, but I will spare you the details.”
"Perhaps Lieutenant Thelev, my assistant, may be of assistance to you," he offered flatly, "unless the captain will permit me to examine your findings while detained here. I have no computer access here, and therefor, I do not believe to be a danger to this vessel."
Zarath smirked, “I would consider myself to be duly honored to work him. I trust that we have something quite obvious in common with one another and I am sure you know what aspect that is.”
“That said, I truly do want to be of assistance and it is logical to accept any help you can get. I have experience with Romulan technology, and you may need that experience."
“Once more I would be both grateful and honored for having conducted any work to this degree. I thank you for your willingness to work along side me in that respect, of course. Regardless of any of the conditions of anyone’s detainment, I would very much as well. I do not make any needs of this. ”
“Where is she at the moment? I would be able to gather the named members of the crew quickly, however. By the way, I had heard that Mister Zarok had manhandled you before. Do you wish for me to formally provision a reprimand to him or is it considered to be excusable for whatever reason?” The Andorian then rose his eyebrow in a manner that was far more suited towards a Vulcan than the usual motion that an Andorian would often make for whatever reason.

~location: main engineering~ "Ensign Thelev, this is Captain Ryat. I need you to get to sensor control immediately and undo the modification made by Lieutenant Savin, he says he installed a device of Romulan design that has the 'side effect' of allowing them to track us."
"On my way captain," the Andorian engineer replied without pause. He was still examining the piece of equipment Savin had dropped. The fall had damaged it, but closer examination showed it to be fairly harmless and just part of a warpcore assembly. He reported as such, while speaking into a hand-communicator and at the same time walking out of engineering with a toolbox in his other hand. Two junior engineers followed at his heels.
Surprisingly, several of the Human engineering crewmembers had regained consciousness and had reported in ready for duty.
~location: brig~ "I will ensure that food taking in to account your dietary requirements is sent down to you." Laura said, she paused for a second, being at a complete loss to deal with a pet.
"That is most graceous of you ma'am," the Vulcan replied. His expression was fairly neutral, but his tone belied his composure. Anyone listening closely would hear the raw emotion of guilt in his voice. He did feel guilty, even though the events were possibly beyond his control as he too was affected by the energy weapon.
"I will go to your quarters and check on Caelir," Aly said. No doubt the CSO would be having words with her about it but she remembered Caelir from the briefing and had been intrigued by the animal.
The Vulcan inclined his head slightly. "I have food available in one of the closets," he informed her, "just select one. Caelir is not picky about what he gets, though he may be vying for attention. Possibly, he will react haughtily because I am not the one feeding him. However, he is quite docile, and easy to manage."
He listened in silence as Ryat continued to issue orders, yet he kept his eyes on the Andorian first officer. It was obvious the man was about to say something; he didn't need to be a telepath to know.
“Once more I would be both grateful and honored for having conducted any work to this degree. I thank you for your willingness to work along side me in that respect, of course. Regardless of any of the conditions of anyone’s detainment, I would very much as well. I do not make any needs of this.”
"The honour is mine commander," Savin replied cautiously, "if you have any questions in regards to my programming and my results I shall be most pleased to answer them at any time." This time, one corner of his mouth slightly quirked up, though it was not quite a smile. After all, Savin did not smile, being a Vulcan. "Consider it an interrogation, if you so desire. I shall be here, as I do not appear to be going anywhere anytime soon."
Naturally, it irked him, being detained when obviously he hadn't been wholly himself. Yet, he could understand the captain's reasoning. Until proven otherwise, he was a security risk, and as such a big risk to the safety of the ship. After all, he had sabotaged sensors and now the Romulans were after them. Savin wondered how long it would be, until they would openly attach the Excalibur. Or would they wait until she entered the nebula, in search for the energy weapon?
The Vulcan hoped that they would not use the weapon again, reasoning that a third attack would seriously harm the Human population of the Federation starship, and also the non-Human population. Two attacks, after all, had proven to destabilise a Vulcan. And Vulcans were generally the more resilient species.

Aly reached the CEO's quarters and finding the door locked was forced to use her command over ride to enter. She slipped through the door quickly in case the feline decided to make a break for it. Aly could not see Caelir anywhere but then the cat was black and the room was dimly lit.
Aly followed Savin's instructions and located the feline's food and feeding bowl. As she set the food down Caelir stalked out of seemingly nowhere with his tail held high and what Aly would almost swear was a 'who are you and what exactly are you doing here' expression on his face. Still he then decided to ignore her in favour of his dinner. Aly watched the feline for a few moments enjoying the peace but knew she must return to the barely organised chaos that had currently consumed her poor ship and crew.
Aly retraced her steps to main engineering, it felt strange to be there instead of the bridge but currently there weren't enough crew conscious to make use of both. She looked around and noticed to her surprise that there were a couple of human crew members back at work. Wondering what had occurred in her absence Aly went immediately to locate Thelev who she hoped had been able to undo Savin's handiwork.

"I'm sorry captain," the Andorian engineer replied apologetically, "the system is fused. The two components weren't wholly compatible and I lack the knowledge to remove this without destroying the whole system. I'm afraid you're going to have to let the boss do this himself." One antenna twitched. "At gunpoint, if it has to be so."
Thelev had spent some time examining the chief's handiwork, looking at it from all angles. While it seemed a perfect fit now, and it obviously did work beautifully, it wasn't an exact fit and he could see that some parts had been fused together due to their sheer incompatibility. He shook his head. "Short of just blasting it out, and in the process lose our long-range sensors again, I don't see how captain, I'm truly sorry."
Again, he shook his head. "What possessed him to use this particular piece of alien engineering in the first place?" he questioned, "has he said anything on his motivations at all?" Thelev just couldn't understand his chief's line of reasoning, especially not when it so blatantly marked him as a traitor. Was Savin not Vulcan then, after all? Thelev had no idea; perhaps a thorough medical examination and an interrogation would give sufficient evidence. Yet, the Andorian still held some thread of loyalty to his chief; he did delived good and solid work, and did possess the analytical mind of a Vulcan. Surely, a Romulan wasn't this calculating? Could a Romulan feel remorse?
Thelev had never met a Romulan before, and found it indeed difficult to believe Saryn was one. "I'll see if I can disable it, but I would prefer Savin's supervision, as he's the one who put it there," he concluded.
At an unknown location to the Excalibur, the Romulan bird-of-prey hung cloaked, at the edge of the nebula. "There she is," their commander pointed out smugly, "that ship will soon be ours for the taking. Their crew will be at eachother's throats in no time. No doubt, whoever gave her to us will already be detained, so it can't be undone. One more shot, and her whole crew will be disabled."
The commander knew most of what was to know about Excalibur's crew complement, and knew there were a few aliens that might better resist their weapon. "Fire," he ordered, "then move the weapon away beyond their sensor range. Even with their repaired sensors, they won't find it. We've made sure of that."
The weapon fired, and the Excalibur rocked under the impact, her nacelles blinking, then darkening. Yet, it didn't have the desired effect. The Romulan sensor was interfering with the effect of the weapon; something the Romulans hadn't counted on. "He's betrayed us!" the commander shouted, "he's sabotaged the sensor. He was supposed to make sure the sensor was installed intact, and let the blame fall on the Vulcan, who installed it." The commander growled, as the bird-of-prey approached the crippled vessel, slowly, and still cloaked.
"Federation vessel, you are disabled. Stand down and prepare to be boarded," he called, audio only. "Surrender, and we will let you off at our nearest outpost, from where you will be taken back to Federation space. Your vessel is impounded, and now belongs to the Romulan Empire."

"I'll see if I can disable it, but I would prefer Savin's supervision, as he's the one who put it there,"Aly wasn't quite sure what to do, she understood that the engineer was the one best qualified to make this observation, if he said he needed Savin's help then she did not doubt he needed it. Aly made a decision and then flipped open her communicator "Captain Ryat to Commander Los, I need for you to arrange for suitable security to allow Mr Savin to assist with the removal of his 'modifications' to our sensor array" Tag: Kavrin (insert rant here ) Aly's voice was brittle. "I'll take that under advisement Commander, but right now we need the sensor array fixed and he is the best person to do it." Tag: When her conversation was concluded she turned back to Thelev. "If you go down to sensor control Commander Los and Lieutenant Savin will meet you there." She was on her way across engineering when a hum started in the the deck plates. She barely had time to grab a railing before a wave of nausea swept over her. It felt worse this time, it was as if she were looking out of two sets of eyes at the same time. Alyana and Ryat were not perceiving quite the same thing. She closed her eyes and doubled over fighting to breathe, she would not throw up in engineering, she would not. When her stomach had settled Aly dared to open her eyes. She knew that she had nearly gone this time. She was about to try to get her crew to report in when the comm chirped. The Excalibur was being hailed. Aly opened the channel. "Federation vessel, you are disabled. Stand down and prepare to be boarded," he called, audio only. "Surrender, and we will let you off at our nearest outpost, from where you will be taken back to Federation space. Your vessel is impounded, and now belongs to the Romulan Empire."Okay... that answered a few questions. Now came the option of whether or not she should reply to them, and if so what should she say. Aly spoke Romulan to get the best use out of the subtleties of the language. "Romulan vessel this is the Federation Starship Excalibur. Attacking us in neutral territory is a hostile act and will be taken as such. You have no claim on this vessel and any attempt to board her will be taken as hostile provocation." Tag:

"If you go down to sensor control Commander Los and Lieutenant Savin will meet you there."
Relief washed over the Andorian assistant chief engineer, and it was clearly audible in his voice when he spoke. "Yes captain, thank you captain." He picked up his toolbox and literally dashed from engineering.
From the brig, Savin followed Los to sensor control. With Los before him, leading the way, and two fairly burly security officers trailing him, there was little chance for escape. While he was strong, due to his Vulcan physique and strength, there was just no way he could out-match three highly trained security men. Not that he had any ideas about escaping, of course the thought crossed his mind but just as quickly he had dismissed it. It would be a tremendous breach of the trust the captain was now placing upon him, and he had no desire to break it.
A short while later, he and Thelev were kneeling beside the mangled piece of equipment. Astonished, the Vulcan shook his head while reaching for a spanner. "I installed this?" he wondered aloud, as he ran his hand through his hair, leaving a smear of grease on his face. He was still dizzy from being stunned, but he was gradually starting to feel better, even though the guilt kept gnawing at him. And no matter how he tried to suppress it, he failed at every attempt.
Carefully, he krept under the device, having Thelev call out readings to him. An hour later, the Romulan sensor device was finally removed, and the original one replaced. Except, the original one was sorely damaged - not just from Savin's tearing it out forcibly - and now the Excelsior was once more without long-range sensors.
Slowly, the Vulcan rose to his feet and handed the device to Thelev. "Make sure this is stored safely," he ordered, before turning to Los, his hands visible at all times, despite having them clasped behind his back. "I am ready to return to my cell," he informed the Trill security chief, "the device has been successfully removed."
==
"Romulan vessel this is the Federation Starship Excalibur. Attacking us in neutral territory is a hostile act and will be taken as such. You have no claim on this vessel and any attempt to board her will be taken as hostile provocation."
The Romulan commander merely smiled savagely at the audio transmission. He had his orders, and they were to capture the vessel at all cost. And capture such a prize, he would. Or die trying.
"Commander, I can no longer find the Excalibur on sensors," a sub-lieutenant reported, "someone disabled the device. I can still faintly discern a signal from somewhere, but I can't pinpoint it."
The commander turned to look at the offending officer, drew his disruptor and fired at him point-blank. The youth disintergrated immediately, while sounds of dismay echoed across the bridge. "Incompetent fool," he snarled, before looking back at his screen. "You will be boarded," he promised the Federation captain, while he signaled his gunner to fire on Excalibur's last known location.
As he was marched back to his cell, Savin felt another shudder run through the ship. "Are we being fired upon?" he asked, coming to a sudden halt which caused one of the officers behind him to walk straight into him. The other wrestled him into an armlock and pressed him up against the wall; Savin made no attempt to fight them and merely kept himself relaxed to avoid unnecessary injury. The security man was only doing his job. The ship shuddered again, the lights dimming briefly before flaring up to full strength again.
"Do we have weapons available?" he asked, locking eyes with Los. "If no, my place should be in engineering. These two should accompany me, though you have my word that I shall not leave engineering. Thelev can stun me if I try without captain's specific authorisation or request."

"You will be boarded," Aly was hardly surprised at the Romulan commander's words she had doubted that he would give up simply in face of some opposition. That wasn't the Romulan way.
The ship shuddered just then. Aly clutched the wall as she made her way back to the centre of engineering. She didn't know who else was still on their feet after that last energy wave.
"When that sensor's out we need to move the ship. I don't care if it's only manoeuvring thrusters. They know where we are. I don't want the Excalibur taking more damage, she's hurt enough as it is." Aly's command started off rather brusquely but her tone softened as what had happened to her ship and crew ran through her mind again. She was so proud of them that despite the challenges and the set-backs that they had been though they were still going. She knew they weren't going to let her down and she wasn't going to let them down, that was her duty.
Aly stood in the centre of engineering simultaneously trying to be a reassuring presence, keep out of the way and do what she could to help. It wasn't easy.
Aly was surprised when minutes later Savin arrived in engineering followed by a determined looking Commander Los.
"Report", Aly ordered deciding that brevity was more important that politeness at the moment.

The Excalibur shook again, "We need to move the ship now."

Thalin Zarath had run along side her for the moment. It was not his usual modus operandi, but nevertheless, he was rushing to be along side her. He felt a certain need to be beside his immediate commanding officer during such a time of distress. It would seem as though he had either an incredible sense of duty, or an incredible of stupidity, to leave his prior tasks on the interior of the vessel so that he might join her. He was, of course, giving up his own safety in doing so.
He came from a warrior race, and the Andorians were quite proud of this fact. Nevertheless, most of them still possessed limits. For the time being, Thalin was allowing all of his inhibitions and fears to drop. Snapping himself to, her looked to her and started to ask how he should respond in the case.
He stopped himself just as quickly as he had snapped himself to. He knew that when she needed him, she would ask him for what she had needed. He also knew that she knew that such a request would be treated as an order and followed to the highest regard.
The Excalibur shook again, "We need to move the ship now."
Zarath did not hesitate, regardless of whomever that order was directly intended to, if it was even an order at all. He did not stop to think as he moved to his usual science console and started to flip the jewel switches that were upon the panel. As he did this, even in the heat of this situation, he did not forget the time that he was unable to tell the differences in color between each of these controls.

Aly watched in silence as Thalin wrestled with what was left of the Excalibur's controls, she knew they wouldn't be able to move far but it seemed that anything would help right now.
"Is there any chance we can get the sensors back, without them being able to detect us?" She asked. She hated being a sitting duck but there was nothing else they coul do at the moment.

=/\=Captain, Petty Officer Fernandez here, We've got it, sir. We've found what's keeping the crew unconscious. It's setting up a biochemical feedback loop in the brain. We could inject the chemical counter agent but due to the number of crew members needing it that will take a long time. I'm set to release a gas that will counteract the neurochemical affect...=/\=
There was a pause in the Nurse's commentary =/\=What is it?=/\= Aly asked, she knew she was normally more patient than this but these were hardly ordinary circumstances.
=/\=I think the gas might have a detrimental affect on the crew members who are currently conscious, sir. Specifically I believe it will result in nausea and I'm not sure we can predict the effect on all species aboard.=/\=
=/\=Do it.=/\= Aly said. =/\=we can worry about off effects later when the crew are back on their feet.=/\=

Aly looked around at her crew, she wasn't looking forward to almost losing her last meal yet again but it would be worth it. Her gaze hit upon Commander Los and Savin. It seemed that the former had taken the initiative and was escorting the latter back to the brig.
"Commander. Hold on a moment." Her gaze flicked back to Thelev. "Mr Savin might as well remain here, at least under the rest of the crew are back on their feet. It seems that Romulans intend to board us and I want to be ready for them, I need some ideas."
"But Captain, Mr Savin..." Aly just glared at the security chief. She knew what Mr Savin was accused of and would certainly be returning him to the brig shortly and would certainly have the book thrown at him, as soon as the CSO figured out what he was going to be charged with. But, right now he was one of the resources they had on the Romulans. Obviously his ideas would be checked over in minute detail but she believed they needed everyone's input at the moment.
