I just wanted to put up a quickpost asking people how they thing the sim is going, to me things have slowed down a bit and I wondered why this was and what I can do to help.
I know sometimes people can get worried about going 'off plan' but in my case do not worry. If you have a story idea just run withit and we'll play with it.
Perhaps you think simming is too fast - I expect at least one and preferably two posts a week.
If you at a loss for what your character can do invent an NPC who could do something, set up a personal storyline or ask another crew member how you could fit into their storyline.
I think the key is communication everybody talk to everybody else and above all have some fun.

Regarding the mission thread "The Fluidity of Truth", the new saboteur that I introduced into the storyline with my first post seems to have been taken in a direction other than what i had intended for the character, although this is not a problem, as I think I have a way to follow this new wrinkle in the narrative. I had intended for the technician saboteur in question to be a human collaborator with the 47s, but we can easily make him a 47 in disguise. Part of his plan, in fact, may be to impersonate my playing character as a diversion...

An important question that will impact my next story move: is the Victory capable of saucer separation? I figure since the design is loosely based on the Sovereign Class, which does have the capability, the Vesta Class might be similar enough to allow for this...

Hi there,
Sorry for the tardy reply, I have taken on exam marking so am incredibly busy at the moment and managing to check in at work. During my breaks. Sorry for the confusion Meylor... I had assumed that it was you checking the ODN and that Harash-kyat was attacking you by mistake but we can roll with whatever comes up.
As for saucer separation - I say go for it. I ve seen no information to say it doesn't and if it makes a good plot point then I m all for it.
I m thinking it maybe best for all if we try and wrap this mission up a little to enable you new crew to get in on a mission from the start. I ll put together a post to that effect tonight/tomorrow.
I would also like to take this chance to congratulate you on your posting Meylor and Ch'tres in previous months I have not been able to submit a simmer of the month in my reports but I think that is due to change.
All the best

Thanks for responding, Admiral, and also for your compliments; it's been fun getting back into posting again. Unfortunately, as much it pains me to do this so abruptly, I will have to cut back on my participation and take leave for an uncertain period. My father just passed away on Wednesday, and as a result, I'm suddenly faced with inheriting his assets along with their responsibilities. It's going to take me awhile to get on a solid personal footing again, and while I might be able to continue posting, I can't guarantee anything at this point. I hope everyone in the crew can understand, and thank you for inviting me aboard.

Is there a member of Species 8472 on board? -------------------------------------------------------------- Aug 11, 2014 23:27:03 GMT -5 Ethan Hope said: ~Waiting, waiting to get killed~ were the thoughts running through Ethan Hope's head. Having just listened to Starfleet Security, Ethan believed that the Federation was making a mistake. Species 8472 was clearly a threat to the safety of the Federation, but Starfleet would take a wait and see approach. Never one to ignore their core mission, Ethan knew that Species 8472 were a formidable enemy and they needed to be prepared.
"I want another security drill run within the hour," Ethan ordered to the security officer on duty. Since they had been unable to verify the identity of the intruder, Ethan believed it was the overall lack of experience aboard the ship. He could not fault his officers because they gave everything they had to this mission, but nothing beats intuition and experience. Drills and practice made perfect and while they Victory slowly made its way back home, they would do this everyday.
"Sir, the analysis of the last drill have not been completed yet, shouldn't we wait until the analysis is complete?" the security officer asked.
"We'll stop once Species 8472 has been found," Ethan snapped back clearly annoyed at the question.

haha we got to fix that, that's crazy. Is that bridge image about right? Do we know where tactical and engineering and everything is located on that image? I'm just trying to get a feel for the ship. I'm just wondering, but according to the novels memory-beta.wikia.com/wiki/Vesta_class, the Vesta-class: Length: 672 meters Width: 195 meters Height: 88 meters Are we going by the novels for the specs or are we making up our own? The Victory's page has different dimensions section47.proboards.com/thread/4930/ship

I really like the Destiny novels and like Dax's ship so I m happy to go with them and memory beta for ship specs,
The ones I used in the ship info I got from Star Trek Online I think.

I've only used them as reference and haven't read them yet. Memory Beta will be a better source becomes it comes from the novels directly and it is reliable 99% of the time. STO, as much as I like it, may not have the same drive for accuracy as Memory Beta.

Hello Victory crew,
It is a pleasure to be simming with you all for this mission. At the moment Tavalak has just left Qomar, destroying the Qomar Prelate's tower as he left and getting out before you all can reach him. I am going to wait for a couple more responses before showing where he has gone next...
