The Enzio hadn't been docked for long before Ghes received word from the Admiralty. He was summoned. It seemed a bit fast to be giving him his debriefing. Something else must be afoot.
"Well, Commander..." he turned to Commander Matthew at the side of the bridge. The vestibules were still being connected to the Enzio's underbelly and power transfer to the base was still being set up. "It seems I'm a wanted man. You have the bridge for the remainder of the mission," he quipped as he saw the dock's vestibule connecting on the viewscreen. "How about supper tonight in my quarters? Bring a friend."
<Tag Matthew>
Ghes was only annoyed that he had to remain in uniform for the next few hours while the brass grilled him about the Harlequin system. He intended to hunt down his second wife once they were done. He laughed as he descended in the turbolift, thinking idly. Perhaps he could convince her to abode with him on the Enzio for a while. In the meantime though there would be some fun to get up to on the Starbase.
Strangely Admiral Burke passed him over for debriefing. Just as Ghes retreated to the promenade the Admiral's aides came to him and informed him that the debriefing was delayed. Apparently the Enzio had been gone twice as long as dictated by their mission clock, and there were other procedures to follow in order to sort out the mess.
Ghes suspected however that it was because of the interference of another flag officer. A second Admiral had called him. Perhaps Burke and the others were staying out of the way.
<Tag All> - A place to post while we set up our next venture. It's shore leave time.

Trying to collate all the data and make sense of what had happened had kept Tiana busy all the way back to base. It was clear that there had been a temporal displacement but fortunately it was forward and only days. The headache had struck very abruptly, she knew then that it was time to stop, she left the lab and headed back to her quarters. Half way there was was over come with a wave of nausea and a feeling of being unable to breathe, she clutched the wall and tried to suck oxygen into her lungs. Her heart was pounding. There were flames.
She blinked, the flames were gone and she could breathe once more. Tiana had issues with fire but she had worked through that. This wasn't Tiana's issue, this was Nawar's. Nawar's death in fact. She had lived it before in the days after she and Cet had been joined. That she had just seen it again was not good sign. She sighed audibly, realising that she would not be getting back to her quarters any time soon. Instead she headed towards sickbay, better to get herself checked out. Clearly something was wrong in the balance between Cet and Tiana and it wasn't as if anyone had done a study on the affect of timetravel on joined Trills...

Scene: USS ENZIO, Main Bridge
“Currently the ship was in dry dock. Repairs were going well and were within the scheduled timeframe. On the bridge only a young ensign was doing bridge watch-duty. It was a boring job; because most systems were offline anyway .Only life support, comm. and security-systems were active. Most of the crew was scheduled for shore leave but was still on board using their shipboard quarters.
“The young guy was almost asleep when the nerving signal of a comm. -connection frightened him up. Quickly he checked the message's *Damn, _Command only message from the office of the Ship yard Superintendent?*
He opened a channel to the XO. He knew that neither the XO didn't like to be woken up that early when on shore leave.
"Sirs, Ensign Finch, bridge watch Officer of the day. Sorry to disturb you but I have a one message from the Office of the Ship yard Superintendent .and for Command-staff only."
[Matthew here. Route it through to my comm. links.]
"Aye, Sir. Starting data transfer ... finished."
[Thanks Ensign. Matthew out.]
Drake hadn't even said a word although he had been online in the short conference call. That told books about the man who was usually a very polite guy.
“After the ship docked, And The Official Well Back home from base Operations our home base Commodore Gheskrei Turned and said Commander, please start schedule shore leave. I am sure that we need to get it in while the going is good. I am sure Starfleet will have another mission for us before we know it."
"Aye sir!"
Executive Officer's Office, USS ENZIO
“A pile of PADDs surrounded Commander Matthew as he worked at his desk as He look over Officers and Crewmen performance appraisals as well as request for new Personal for the Ships before he were submitted to Commodore Gheskori . As he stood up, an incoming message alert appeared on his computer display monitor:
<<INCOMING MESSAGE FROM S-B ASSAILANT –The Office of the Shipyard Superintendent LCDR DARLA DANGER – FIRST ATTEMPT>>
“Reading over the Message from Cmdr. Danger Matthew couldn’t help but laugh to himself Darla Danger Sound Like a Private detective name Well it Appears Cmdr. Danger Has Moved the Enzio up on her Service list from Number 9 to 5 and Since the ship was now docked, She has schedule four engineering Teams to Come on boar to assess the damage Areas and do repairs and upgrades as needed, I can only hope our Chief engineer won’t spend his Shore leave following them around
“Cmdr. Matthew signed off the shore leave-schedule on the padd with his thumb. The messages to all relevant personnel were sent automatically by the administrative support-software on the computer core.
Personnel-wise they were a lot of Questions when it came to Senior Department staff an Official Request to Base personal I hope will fill those positions soon or before the next mission

Ghes made his second retreat for the promenade after his meeting with the Admiral. It was the typical grilling from the flag officer, almost as vociferous as he remembered; he needed a drink to get over it.
He put in a request on the comm near the main entrance to the promenade, wanting station administration to pass a message through to his wife. She was somewhere on the station, but it would be near impossible to hunt her down by himself, given the length and breadth of the station and the variety of species - many who went by only basic identifiers - on the Starbase.
Eventually he had her location verified - not too far from his current location, he was lightly embarrassed to admit, at the far end of the promenade at one of the less popular eateries. In older times it had been a well-visited and prestigious joint, but it'd declined since the newer establishments had sprung up down the deck. Still it remained respectable, and not at all empty.
"Mlerex," he said, shockingly finding a stutter in his voice as he said hello. Yes, it had been a while, but he'd never had less than perfectly easy relations with his second spouse, and - maybe foolishly - he'd expected that ease to carry through with little or no hindrance in subsequent meetings.
"Ghes," she rose in delight from the table outside the eatery. They kissed and took their respective seats. Ghes felt ill at ease, unpleasant but not unexpected if he was honest. The passing of his first wife would obviously be weighing on both their minds.
The conversation progressed, Ghes finding himself slipping into his natural gregarious manner, as did Mlerex. Eventually, inevitably, the conversation swung towards the deceased. "Were you present at her death?" she asked.
Ghes shook his head, his fingers already steepled before him in his occasional brooding manner. "My brother and cousin were there. I was engaged in mission-business." He tossed his drink back, downcast eyes distracted by the brightly lit promenade. "Care to join me on the Enzio?"
"What.. now?" she asked leaning forward.
Ghes stood up, offering his hand. She accepted it and he pulled her away from the eatery. "I was hoping you could stay for longer than your normal limits of time give you. I'm making dinner tonight. Maybe my XO, and a guest of his choice, will join us." It was all he could do to not feel as if he could sweep his wife off her feet, as they took off for the docking bay and the Enzio's vestibule.
As they stepped on to the ship, Ghes tapped his commbadge, =/\= Commander Matthew, this is Gheskori. I have news about our next assignment. Meet me in my ready room at 1600 hours. Later this evening, I expect you to be honouring our dinner agreement =/\= Ghes smiled.

Suffering a very bad cold, Savin sat beside the bed on which his fater still lay. He'd refused to leave the chair even though he should be in bed as well. His temperature was running higher than normal and he felt uncomfortably warm in his uniform wheras normally he was constantly chilled. HIs father was seemingly doing better, he was breathing on his own again and was taken off life support only moments ago.
Anxiously, the younger Vulcan watched the older one, almost willing him to wake up by sheer mental force. He dared not touch the man for fear of making him even sicker. Relief flooded his features when the older man did stir and finally opened his eyes. "Savin?" His voice was weak, raspy, his eyes shining.
"Father," the younger man breathed, relief audible in his voice. "You are very ill father, you should not move. You very nearly were lost to us, how do you feel?"
"Trampled. You do not look well either." He accepted a sip of water from the cup his son offered him, then allowed a just arrived nurse to give him the once-over.
"I was infected with a variant of the toxin that infected you," Savin confessed. "There was a fight here in sickbay, a battle to be more exact. I had been replicating the toxin to be sent down as medication but we devised a variant. Sickbay is under quarantine for the moment. Several nurses are sick, but none seem to have been infected with anything worse than a case of the flu. I have a very bad cold, and I actually am sick."
Saryn nodded. "I can see that, your eyes shine with fever, your features are flushed and your breathing is shallow. As if you have difficulty breathing." He sipped from the cup again. "I assume...captain Gheskori was angry?"
"Commodore," Savin corrected him, "he was promoted, and yes he is angry father. I assume he will want to exchange words with you once quarantine is lifted."
"I will await his call," his father promised, "Numike?"
"She is fine. She has been taken care of, one of the senior officers is looking after her while we are confined to sickbay. Rest now father, you have a long road of recovery to go. And I need to get some sleep." Carefully, he squeezed his father's hand, then moved off to a bed on the other side of sickbay. It had clearly been occupied before and he crawled onto it before immediately dropping off into a deep sleep.

Shore leave, even on a space station, was supposed to be enjoyable. Having fun was not one of Trevor’s strong points. His life had never been filled with leisure time and so he never developed the ability to relax. Games of chance or any game were foreign to him as was personal pleasure of any kind. Cardassian rewards often promised personal pleasure, some time to relax or spending time in the presence of a beautiful woman, yet somehow it seemed they always knew how to dampen the enjoyment or remove it all together. Besides he wasn’t exactly sure why he deserved shore leave, had he not screwed things up, had he not failed in regard to his position with the rescue of the Ship’s Commanding officer? To the chief of security and tactical everything had to be earned. From the receipt of a new uniform to the food that nourished him it had all been controlled by either someone or circumstances and you certainly did not complain about whatever you received. If it had not been for a promise he made to Lenaris he would have stayed within the familiar space of the ship but she made him agree to try and have some fun and eat something that wasn’t a replicated ration.
The human walked onto the promenade with a face devoid of a smile. It looked almost as if the experience pained him. He glanced around slowly taking in the noise and press of those around him as if cautiously evaluating the situation, looking for whatever trap was awaiting him. Those around him seemed to pass intent on their days business or pleasure unaware or uncaring of his presence. Trevor took in a deep breath and moved forward as if forcing himself to continue then stopped, hesitant to continue. Something seemed wrong, out of place though he could not put his finger on it. His eyes narrowed slightly and his jaw set firmer as he listened more intently to the sounds around him.
It was the smell he concluded that seemed incorrect. To most individuals the smell of Taspar eggs, not boiled but raw. Most individuals would never have picked up the smell in the abundance of other far more pleasant aromas yet to Trevor it brought back memories he would rather have forgotten forever. His head turned to his left. It was the direction he felt the odor was coming from. Above him was the sign that read Pep’s Pub. Without a word he entered the establishment letting the sounds of the bar, a place rather foreign to him, drift over him in waves unfamiliarity that in and of itself was unsettling. For a moment he stood not far from the entrance glancing around hoping to discover the source of the odor but then again hoping it would just go away. The fact that he could smell the egg made him feel uncomfortable. They were an unpleasant Cardassian food that unless pressed to do so most would avoid. It also had served as a common punishment, a meal designed to be both a less than appetizing meal and an opportunity for someone who considered themselves superior to watch with great enjoyment at the others expense.
“What can I get you officer,” he heard a voice say to his left and he turned his attention towards the Ferengi that stood just behind the bar. The man smiled his big toothy grin and waved for Trevor to the counter. “Must be on shore leave,” he mentioned as the human turned and headed towards him, “what can I get you?”
“Nothing,” Trevor stated as he looked around the place some more, “at the moment.”
His eyes finally fell on two Cardassians seated at a booth. One had his back to him but from his laugh he knew exactly who he was. The other was younger and was the one scooping out the raw egg from its shell much to the others fiendish enjoyment.
“The Cardassians,” the man behind the bar stated, “I wouldn’t worry about them. They’re from a freighter that landed here two days ago.” He leaned a little farther over the counter, “I’m Pep. the man offered, “think it’s some sort of ritual, the eating of that egg.”
Trevor nodded, “you could say that,” he said as he began to walk away from the bar.
“Wait,” the Ferengi said as he hurried to come around the bar towards Trevor who was already nearly at the exit, “don’t let them bother you. I can put you on the balcony where you won’t have to see them.”
The security officer didn’t respond but walked just outside the door and slid to the side closing his eyes for a moment and taking in a deep breath, “Obsidian Order,” he muttered, “this can’t be good.”

The Enzio remained fixed in her berth on the main docking ring, settled as if it was never meant to leave. The same was true of its crew, who'd for the most part spread out into the decks of the Starbase enclosing the docking ring, making the best use of their shore leave for they all had an inkling it would be short. Their previous mission had been long and arduous, not to mention confounding in its conclusion. Time had passed by, had passed away even, leaving a void unfilled by any intervening experience. Their memories of the Harlequin system were a distant memory and would continue to fall into the unechoing depths of time. Ghes turned from the sight of the docking ring back to his ready room's desk. Its surface was covered by multi-levelled topological clutter. Padds mostly, but a few personal effects he'd been forced to turn out of his quarters at the strange insistence of his wife. The door chirped, Commander Matthew making an entrance. "Ah, Commander, just on time. Have a seat." "You said you wanted to meet with me Commodore.""I did indeed. A few details about our next assignment. Nothing too detailed at the moment." He fished around the horrid contours of his desk to find the padds relevant to the next mission and passed them over to his XO. "You'll like the last one," he commented. "Congratulations, Commander, First Officer of the USS Enzio. Do you have any recommendations for who should succeed you as Ops officer?" <Tag Matthew>Ghes loosened his jacket, sighing lightly as he settled back behind his stacked desk. "A certain Admiral, that we both have previous experience of, has ordered us to accompany the USS Rainier to facilitate peace talks. Details are on the padds." James scanned cursorily through the front padd. "The Kasan'thar." Gheskori nodded. "We've been selected given our previous experience with the species. I suppose you need no clues to know that the flag officer who gave me this assignment is none other than Admiral Patrizia Cain. Unsurprisingly, she's not entirely trusting of the Kasan'thar's professed desire for peace, and nor am I." Ghes paused, "I have the feeling she's sending the Enzio to ensure the senior CO keeps a clear head during the negotiations. We're to temper any naive impulses from the USS Rainier and her captain, who it should be remembered, is a Vice Admiral." "We're to convene on the Starbase for a full briefing with both sets of senior officers present. Ideally I would brief our own staff beforehand but we're running short of time. I'll fill the staff in after the conference, depending on what transpires during. That will be all, Commander. Can I expect to see you at dinner this evening?" <Tag Matthew> - OOC: We will now move over to the thread on the Rainier board Here. Let's have fun.

Tiana walked in to sickbay and clung to the door. She was feeling sick and for a second she saw a dark corridor on a distance spacestation where Harad Cet had been killed in a hail of disruptor fire and old style percussive bullets. She knew it was a memory she knew it wasn't the here and now but how long would that remain the case.
"I need some help. Cet and I are having some problems."
