Kurzan was wandering around the ship. He looked around very curiously. He saw two wide doors and peered inside. It appeared to be the mess hall, and it was busy. Kurzan checked the ships chronometer, and it was 0800 hours.
"Must be breakfast" Kurzan thought.
Feeling a little hungry, Kurzan decided to sample some food. He stepped through the doors and looked around.
"Spectacular" Kurzan announced.
He walked up to a replicator.
Kurzan: Computer, this is a food terminal correct?
Computer: Correct.
Kurzan: Yes, of course. Well, I would like.... Klingon mokag juice, a bagel with cream cheese, Romulan sausages and a Cinnamon bun. Thank you.
The computer began to work, and Kurzan's food appeared. It was a large tray, and Kurzan had to carefully carry it over to a table.
Kurzan: Oh no. Forgot a package of butter.
Kurzan got up, nearly knocking his juice off the table.
Kurzan: Ah! Gotcha. phew.
The others in the mess hall stared at him as he walked over to the replicator.
Kurzan went over and ordered his pack of butter and sat down. Next to him was a female officer, busy with a padd.
Kurzan drank his juice quickly.
Kurzan: Ahhh. Nice and cold. Refreshing. Is this true that this is Captain Picard's choice?
Woman: What?
Kurzan: My breakfast. I read in an interview that Jean luc Picard enjoyed bagles on occasion.
Woman: I wouldn't know.
Kurzan: Oh. Well, it's my choice now, anyway. So...what are you reading there?
Woman: If you must know, it is "The series of events that have conspired against me"
Kurzan: Ohhhhh. Very interesting! Ancient Cardassian literature has always appealed to me. You know, I have heard a rumor that the madman, Gul Dukat, actually tried to rewrite that story. It's an unconfirmed rumor of course, but with an arrogant man like that, who knows what he did during his reign.
Woman: Dukat? You have an overly active imagination.
Kurzan: I hear things. That is what I do best, I listen.
Woman: It seems that way.
The woman got up and walked away.
Kurzan: Well, I suppose hearing things does have some disadvantages. Now, I really should get in touch with the captain. We have some things to discuss.
Kurzan got up and walked out, heading for a turbolift.

(Walker sat in his quarters at a table with Steve)
Walker: Was it really nessecary that we meet here and not in my ready room?
Steve: I'm afraid so, I have some worries regarding our first officer.
Walker: Oh?
Steve: Last I checked Vulcans do not show emotions and yet Sokath has been acting more like a Klingon than a Vulcan lately.
Walker: That is indeed strange.
Steve: I have had thoughts of relieving him but I feel I can better observe him on duty.
Walker: I see.. So what do you think is doing this?
Steve: Well I don't have much more information at the moment. I would just advise as chief intel officer that you watch out for yourself. Sokath is one of the suspects on my list in your attempted killing.
Walker: Well we take him in for questioning then.
Steve: No, I want to wait for him to do something stupid to do that to himself.
Walker: It's too dangerous, he could try to kill anyone.
Steve: First of all we don't even know that it's him. Second we are understaffed. And we don't yet have enough evidence to say that violence is something on his mind.
Walker: We will not wait for him to kill someone before taking him into custody.
Steve: Alright I see your point, but what if.. What if we have a guard watch him from the distance. To stop him before he does anything violent. It will seem normal as there is a red alert going on right now.
Walker: Permission granted, but I will not hesitate to relieve him if I feel needed.
Steve: Understood sir.
(The doorbell chimes)
Walker: Come.
(A man dressed in civilian clothing walks in)
Walker: What can I do for you sir?
Civilian: You must be Captain Walker.
Walker: That I am, I'm really don't have time to chat. Who are you?
Kurzan: My name is Kurzan.
(Kurzan extends his hand to shake Walker's)

"No he's most certainly not a klingon but he has a temper akin to one. He's in there with his wife I suggest staying out here unless there is a need to go inside."
With that Sebastian nodded curtly to the security guard and proceeded to the nearest turbo lift. After taking a few wrong turns he evntually found a kind Bolian ensign who pointed him the correct way.
"Deck 1." The turbo lift hummed into life and began its climb to the bridge. After several minutes the door opened and Sebastian found himself on the bridge. He looked around and failed to see any of the other seniuor staff he'd been introduced to. Until then he'd resume his post.
"You excused ensign." He told the current man sat at the navigation and propulsion panel. "Have there been any course corrections.
"Since I took over none. Sir."
"You don't have top call me sir just because I'm now the CNO; I'm not an officer." Although secretly Sebastian liked the sound of sir.
He checked the course and went over the propulsion systems checking everything was in order. Whilst he was awaiting the computers report he glanced around the bridge. Finally he'd found somewhere he could make something of himself. His parents would be so proud. If only they were still here.

Kurzan put out his hand.
Kurzan: I believe it is the proper Earth greeting.
Walker: Indeed it is.
Walked shook his hand lightly with little enthusiasm.
Kurzan: Well, down to business!
Walker: Make it brief please. We are dealing with something urgent.
Kurzan: First of all, good to be here. Secondly, I don't really like the living conditions. I can't smoke my cigars in peace without one of those alarms going off and those oxygen suckers which put out the flame.
Walker: Ship regulations.
Kurzan: I see. Well, you could-
Walker: No exceptions.
Kurzan: Well, that was quick. You seem like a man who barely gets any sleep. Well, what's going on here? What's with all the security running around?
Walker: Ship's business.
Kurzan: You seem like a man who only utters two lines at a time. Is this how you always greet newcomers?
Walker: No. But then again, I don't usually make it a point to talk with civilians.
Kurzan: Why not?
Walker: Is that all? A complaint about ship regulations?
Kurzan: Well. heh, when you put it like that, I guess it is.
Walker: Very well, you are excused.
Kurzan: And a very nice day to you as well sir.
Kurzan promptly exited and muttered under his breath "Well that's a fine how do you do"
He had no idea what was going on, and why their was heightened security aboard the ship, but Kurzan had a feeling, which was a common state of mind for an El-Aurian, that something awful was going to happen soon...

(After Kurzan left Walker plopped himself down on a nearby chair)
Walker: No need for petty civilians around here.
(He picked up a glass of chilled water and drank the small glass in one sip. Walker was feeling extremely tired with all the medicines still in his body from the treatment he had received when he was shot. But he knew that he would never be able to sleep with the current conditions aboard the ship. And knowing that someone was out to take his life. Walker was never the one to sit in his quarters and hide though. He had seen people try to take his life many times as a security officer. And his idea of wasting time was not sitting in his quarters drinking water, and looking at padds all night. With that he left his quarters and headed to the mess hall for a cup of coffee and to be around some other officers, maybe to catch up on some work if he felt like it. Leaving his quarters he saw a guard outside his door)
Walker: What are you here to keep me in my quarters?
Guard: No sir, I was ordered to check anyone who comes to your quarters for weapons.
Walker: Oh? Courtesy of who?
Guard: Commander Steve sir.
Walker: Oh, how kind. Well tell him I can look after myself thank you.
Guard: ... Aye sir.
(Walker passed the security guard and arrived at the mess hall a couple of levels away. The double doors to the mess hall abruptly swished open. The room was about a fifth full. One table full of junior officers, and near the windows were tables usually used by two or three officers though there were people sitting up there who appeared to be doing some work on their padds as well. Walker started by getting his refreshments. He had a lot of reports to look over given to him by Steve. After waiting for an officer to pick up their macaroni and cheese Walker asked for a cup of black coffee and an Earth dish from China. The dish was no bigger than any ordinary dinner dish. A flame lay in the middle of it which was something that some Chinese dishes had on them. Walker took his plate and mug of coffee and looked for a suitable place to sit. Across the way he spotted Steve at a table in the distance)
Walker: Hello Commander.
Steve: Commodore, I just got your message from the guard I had posted at your door.
(Walker grinned)
Walker: I can take care of myself just fine thanks. Anyway, any news on possible supsects yet?

Warm. It was very warm. Unusual for the planet's weather. Kurzan was sitting in a chair that he had made. It was carved from wood and waxed. He was sitting on the deck of his house, overlooking a deep valley below. It was quite a view. Kurzan sat there, smoking a pipe and admiring the twilight. The clouds hung in the air, letting beams of sunlight through. He felt quite peaceful. All of a sudden, he heard a loud humming from above. He could not discern what the sound was. He finally knew what it was when he saw it. Out of the clouds came a thunderous noise, as an object burst through the sky, shattering the heavens. It was a large object, cubical in shape. Kurzan's jaw dropped in awe and the pipe slid out of his mouth and fell down below to the valley. The object began firing green orbs toward the surface. One of them went right over his house. Kurzan looked up as it flew over.
Kurzan ran into his house, trying to get out the front door to his hovercar. As he ran to the door, he heard a faint shrill in front of him, and two humanoids materialized in a green swirl. The beings appeared to be organic with artificial implants, with an implant over their eyes, emitting a red laser. "We are the Borg. You will be assimilated" a voice or several voices in unison said. The two beings advanced toward Kurzan and Kurzan ran, tripping over the couch in his house.
Kurzan suddenly jolted out of bed, his pulse racing and sweat forming on his forehead. He looked around and realized that he was not on the homeworld, but rather in a room with stars drifting by the window. He remembered that he was on the Federation starship. He let out a sigh.
Kurzan: Computer, what is the time?
Computer: The time is 23:00 hours.
Kurzan: Maybe I should get a midnight snack.
Kurzan walked out of his quarters after getting changed. He walked into the messhall and saw Commodore Walker and one of his officers seated, eating some kind of meal. Walker's meal was adorned with a flame of some sort. Kurzan scratched his head in confusion. "Why does the fire suppresion system not come on for him?" Kurzan wanted to ask, but decided not to. In his lifetime, he had met people like this Commodore Walker. Bound to their duties, always serious and never know how to take a joke. He already knew what the Commodore would say. Not much.

<NPC Post: Security Officer Sadler)
(Sadler stood at Harash Kyat's door. It had now been two hours and neither of them had tried to escape. With getting little sleep the night before it was tiresome to be standing at the door without sitting for two hours not to mention carrying a heavy phaser rifle. Sadler was asked to check in on the the two officers at 0900 to make sure everything was alright. At the moment it was 0730. Sadler was so exhausted with all of this work securing the ship lately that his eyes were getting heavy. But he knew if he fell asleep on the job he would probably be reprimanded. Not to mention he was not eager to have any meetings with the commodore or the Vulcan first officer. Feeling like he was going to fall asleep any second Sadler entered Harash Kyat's quarters an hour and 15 minutes early. At a table sat Harash-Kyat)
Sadler: I was asked to make sure everything was alright here. I'm in charge of securing your quarters and I will be following you for the first two hours of your shift.
(Salder had heard that the new crewmember was known to be a pain in the neck)
Sadler: And let's get something straight.. You don't scratch my back I won't scratch yours..

OFF: Y'all got a new CTSO. My name is Gareth Sagara. I am an AE, though it won't show yet. *mutters under breath* Anyway, I hope I get along well with all y'all.
Gareth Sagara stepped off the turbolift and made his way to his quarters. People kept looking at him strange. For one he was wearing black sunglasses inside, he had black and white striped hair, and there was a package strapped across his back that looked like it might be a sword of some sort. He almost ran into a crewmember who was racing around a corner but he managed to avoid him. He looked around and realized he was slightly lost. Computer locate the quarters of Gareth Sagara. The computer told him and he realized it was the door he was standing in front of. He smiled wryly. Figures, he thought. He set the package down on his bed and looked around the room. He thought of some ways that he could fix it up to his liking and then thought that it might be a good idea to go find the captain and check in on things.
=5 minutes later= Gareth was walking down a hallway looking for a sign that would tell him when he walked into the mess hall and saw him. He walked forward and ran into a man. He fell backwards, dislodging his sunglasses. I apologize for not lookin' where I was goin' he said, closing his eyes. He found his sunglasses and put them back on. He stood back up and looked at who he had run into. It was a civilian. The captain stared at the two of them.

Kurzan was standing there, about to leave the mess hall when all of a sudden a figure bumped into him, knocking Kurzan to the floor.
Kurzan: Yeow!!
Walker looked at both of them on the ground.
Kurzan: I beg your pardon! Didn't your mother ever teach you the rules of running?
<tag Gareth. Not sure how your character reacts with others>
Kurzan rubbed his lip and noticed it was bleeding.
Kurzan: My lip, it's bleeding.
Walker: I can see that. You should go to sickbay.
Kurzan: No, I dislike doctors.
Kurzan began to stand up and suddenly felt a sharp pain in his ankle. He tripped and fell down again.
Kurzan: Alright, sickbay it is. But I will not give up so easily next time.
Walker: Right...
Kurzan: Enjoy your dish sir. Oh, and I'd blow out the candle if I were you, the wax seems to be dripping on your food.
Walker looked down at his plate and noticed that the candle was starting to melt.
Kurzan: How deliciously ironic.
Walker: If I wanted your advice, I'd go ask a shuttle craft technician.
Kurzan: Only trying to help.

Gareth saw that the civilian was bleeding and tried to help him to his feet but the civilian pushed his hand away. I apologize again for my clumsiness. I already said tha' it was my fault and I wasn't lookin' where I was goin'. The civilian then left to head off for the sickbay. Gareth approached the captain and inclined his head in greeting. Greetings captain. I am the new CTSO. My name is Gareth Sagara.

Jones was sat at his desk trying to decided what to eat when the doors swished open and a civilian hobbled in supported by a crewman who didnβt seem impressed.
Jones sighed and left his office
"Can I help you?"
"Yes I am looking for a doctor."
"You are looking at him."
"I say, a klingon, I came to be treated not hurt more."
"Take a seat and I will see what I can do."
Jones pulled out a tricorder and scanned the new comer.
"Name?"
"Kurzon."
"Well Kurzon you have a hairline fracture, I will have you up and about in a moment."
"Wonderful, I say do you like a cigar, I am sure you could set up a quarentine zone around my bed and call it gas emergency so the smoke doesnβt attract the attention of your alarms."
"No I donβt and no I wonβt."
"Another Starfleet officer obsessed with rules is it."
Jones stuck the dermal regenerator onto kuzons lip causing him to be silent.
"Well I am afraid it isnβt, I am not going to let because this is my sick bay and not somewhere where the crew can come to smoke, especially as it is incredibly bad for you, I can prescribe something o id you with any addiction you are suffering but I cannot encourage something that damages not only your health but thee health of others." Whilst Jones had said this a nurse had come over and sorted out kuzons ankle. βYou are good to go Mr Kurzon; I also took the liberty of taking some scans for your medical file for the purposes of regulations for your stay on the ship."
Out.

Soon after Kurzan was treated, he jumped off the bio bed.
Jones: Cigars are dangerous for your health and the health of others. I can provide you a supplement that will not have the dangerous effects of a normal cigar.
Kurzan: Doctor, thank you, but no thank you. I realize you are a doctor, and probably a very good one at that. But Doctors are often very cautious. Most doctors can't just enjoy life for what it is. I am aware of the dangerous effects of the cigar. But, what is life without a few risks eh? The great bird of the galaxy only gives you one life, depending on which Religion you follow, that is.
Jones: But you don't have to worry about living a short life. Your people live for centuries.
Kurzan: True, but their was once a time when we were ever so cautious of our health, and took life for granted. Anyway, I won't bore you with my ramblings. I will cease smoking the cigars, in accordance with this ships regulations.
Jones: Good to hear. You may just yet add more years onto your life. Living life to it's fullest includes staying fit and healthy.
Kurzan: Hm. Well, you do make an interesting point. You would make a good philosopher, doctor.

(After having a bite to eat, regaining his strength and catching up on his work Walker desperately wanted to get back on duty. He knew the doctor's wishes but he also knew he was fit enough to go back on active bridge duty. With that Walker went to sickbay in search of Dr. Jones. He spotted a nurse when he walked into sickbay)
Walker: Ensign, where is the Doctor?
(Having one hand full of medical supplies she pointed to a room off to the side)
Walker: Thank you Ensign.
(Walker saw the doctor looking through some files)
Jones: Captain, how are you healing up?
Walker: Very nicely thank you and I am ready to go back to bridge duty with your approval.
(Jones thought for a moment. Usually with something this severe he would have that person recover for up to two weeks. But he knew how Walker was and knew that he would probably just defy the order anyway so he tried to make a compromise)
Jones: Under one condition.
(Walker looked at the doctor)
Jones: You shouldn't leave the ship for any dangerous away missions, no combat, and you need to get the wound checked by either myself or a nurse every two days to make sure it is healing alright since you aren't resting in bed.
Walker: I think I can handle that Doctor.
(Jones nodded and Walker left the office enroute to the bridge. He got into the dimly lighted turbolift which flashed with the red alert lights)
Walker: Bridge.
(The turbolift whirred into action as it sped to the top of the ship. After a minute or so it came to a halt and the doors swished open. The bridge was manned with two armed security officers at the back of the bridge which was the procedure in the event of a red alert. Walker noticed his Vulcan first officer in the center seat, and all of the senior officers with the exception of Jones and Steve were at their stations on the bridge)
Walker: Commander Sokath, I'll take over.
(Sokath was obviously surprised to see the captain)
Sokath: But sir, shouldn't you be resting?
Walker: I'm cleared by the doctor to be on active bridge duty.
Sokath: But sir! I won't allow this. You should be resting.
Walker: Mr. Sokath, that will be enough. Please assume your position as first officer.
Sokath: =^=Dr. Jones to the bridge=^=
Jones: =^=On my way=^=
Sokath: You are not fit for active duty Captain!
Walker: Well if I'm not you certainly aren't, you're relieved.
(All of a sudden Walker saw Sokath overcome with anger. All of a sudden he sprung up from his seat and shoved Walker to the floor. He whipped out his phaser and shot at the two security officers in a matter of 3 seconds killing both instantly. Walker lay on the floor half concious)
Sokath: Alright listen up! Do as I say and no one gets hurt. Remain on our current course and keep in mind I'm monitoring all your stations from my console. If anyone tries anything funny the captain gets it.
(Walker got to his feet slowly)
Sokath: Sit down Walker or I won't hesitate to kill everyone here.
Walker: Where are you taking us?
Sokath: That isn't any of your concern so just listen to me and keep your crew in check.
Walker: Who are you?
Sokath: I am Zirdek.
Walker: Where is Sokath?
Zirdek: Enough questions.
(Zirdek noticed an ensign slowly reaching for his phaser)
Zirdek: Sorry no heroes today.
(Zirdek took his phaser out and shot the ensign)
Sokath: Take his station Walker.
(Walker felt like he just wanted to punch the daylights out of this maniac but he knew it would do no benefit to his crew or himself for that matter so he took his seat at the console)
OFF: Everyone Sokath is going to be out for an undetermined amount of time with internet connection problems. Please feel free to make actions for his character. Just don't make anything over intense happen such as death, major injuries or anything like that. Also don't be shy to shift the plot around as we all have the freedom to do that.
Also there will be a temporary simmer here for this mission by the name of Fredrick Darcy. He is not a starfleet officer just a botinist.
Lets get more consistent here with posting. We've had a good run as being one of the most active ships in the fleet, don't let it end now. Keep up the good work everyone.

Walker smiled as Gareth greeted him. "Good to have you aboard Mr. Sagara. Would you care to join me for a bite to eat?" Gareth smiled and shook his head. "No thank you sir. I had a large meal before coming here. I jus' figured I'd check in with you before going t' my pos'." Riker nodded. "Very well then. I will be coming to the bridge in a while as well." Gareth bowed his head and walked back to the bridge. He relieved a lieutenant and assumed his position. He ran scans through the system and found nothing out of the ordinary. Gareth heard the captain come onto the bridge and heard the start of an argument between the captain and the FO.

Zirdek: Sorry no heroes today.
(Zirdek took his phaser out and shot the ensign)
Sokath: Take his station Walker.
Walker's face was contorted in anger but he slowly took his seat at the console. Gareth quickly searched his mind for possible things to do about the situation and thought of the doctor who was coming up to the bridge. He pretended like he was popping his shoulder and brushed against his combadge. He turned around to face Sokath, or what still looked like the FO but didn't sound like a vulcan anymore"Jus' wonderin' sir but why did ya call the doctor t' the bridge?" Gareth hoped that someone would hear him and think of an idea to get them out of this situation.

Sebastian watched the entire thing unfold from is console. Unable to do aything as the First Officer shot up three of his own men and then proceeded to announce he wasn't himself at all but some other person entirely.
Then he'd threatened the Captains life and Sebastian knew he'd have to do something. He checked the current course and made sure it looked as if he was busy. Whilst he was doing this with his left hand he was covering his right hands movements at the console. He typed out and desptched a message to Engineering:
FO possessed disable warp drive immediately
Then he sent it.
"Mr Drauis!" Oh no he'd been spotted. "Whats our current speed?"
Phew he'd gotten away with it. He hoped. "Currently at maximum cruising velocity. We should reach the co-ordinates in approximately 14 hours."
"Excellant. And remember any slip ups and your Captain here gets a shot. In fact I have an idea, bring up the personal files to this console. I'd like to see who else of use we have aboard." The FO tapped a console with the tip of the phaser and waited.

After checking their current speed the former FO turned around. "From watching the captain, I've come to see that he is a person who would risk a lot for his crew and would do something drastic. I called the doctor up here so that he may relieve the captain of duty. Now go back to your duties ensign," he sneered. Gareth slowly turned around. He hoped someone had heard that and that Engineering had gotten the message to diable the engines from the Drauis. If only I had my plasma sword with me," he thought angrily. Gareth could see that the being known as Zirdek was facing forward again and started logging into the ship's computer to see what he could find that had caused this "Zirdek" to control the body of the FO. He almost had something when Zirdek walked up behind him and hit him across the head, knocking Gareth out of his chair. Gareth's sunglasses slid across the floor away from him. "I said no heroes, and I mean no heroes," snarled Zirdek. Gareth turned over so he was on his back and Zirdek stared. "You're blind," he said laughing. "Captain, your CTSO is blind!" Everyone stared at Gareth and saw that Zirdek was right. Gareth's eyes were completely white. Zirdek continued laughing. "You...you thought you'd be able to hide that from the crew? Not only are you a foolish hero, you're quite stupid too. But your blindness does give me a question. Don't you have problems going around from place to place?" Gareth's blood boiled and he centered his weight. "No' quite," Gareth snarled back. He kicked up, knocking the phaser from Zirdek's grasp. He then tumbled backwards onto his feet and faced Zirdek, bringing his hands up in a defensive position and preparing to fight. "I migh' no' see ya but there are other ways of findin' ya easily. I've had all my life to practice too."

"Ensign" The captain screamed from where he was sitting. "Stand down right away". "Sir?" Gareth called back, not taking his eyes off Zirdek "I told you to stand down, do it now". "I cant do that sir" Gareth called still fixed on Zirdek. "Ensign, I gave you a direct order, do it now!" Walker stood up and took a step towards the two waring parties. "This is your first mission with us and I don't want it to be your last, I also don't want anything to happen to Sokath. You maybe new here but I have known him for along time and we will find another way out of this." Walker took another step forward "Now stand down". With that Gareth lowered his hands and took a step back away from Zirdek "Aye sir" Steve sat in his quarters reading over pads of reports from the night of the attack on Walker. Everything he read kept taking him back to Sokath. Steve had no other suspects, he had even come to the idea that Harash-kyat had nothing to do with it and was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Steve decided to talk to Harash-kyat later, for the moment he just needed to keep on reading. =^= Matheson to Steve =^= Steve looked up and tapped his comm badge =^= Go ahead Lieutenant =^= =^= Sir we have a situation =^= =^= That's helpful =^= Steve said with a smile, it wouldn't be the first time something very minor was class as a situation. =^= Sir, its Sokath, he's.... he's taken control of the ship. =^= Steve jumped up like a bolt of lightning and headed for his door grabbing his phaser. =^= Don't do anything until I get there, Steve out. =^= Steve walked at a very brisk pace towards Engineering. "Computer I need a list of all the senior officers on the bridge at this moment it time" **Commodore Walker, Commander 1st Class Sokath, Acting Ensign Sagara and Cadet Drauis** Steve stopped for a moment "Computer locate Dr Jones" **Dr Jones is on a turbo lift on his way to the bridge** "Bloody Hell" Steve said aloud, his English roots coming out. "Computer I need you to halt that turbo lift and redirect to Engineering" Jones stood in the turbo lift with his medical kit in hand, he had grabbed it as he was worried that Walker might have gotten into difficulty now he was back onto active duty. Suddenly the turbo lift stopped and changed direction. Jimmy lifted his hand to tap his comm badge but Steve had beat him to it. =^= Steve to Dr Jones =^= =^= Go ahead Commander, something strange just....=^= =^= Jimmy we don't have time for that, we have a situation and I need you to report to Engineering as quickly as you can, I will fill you in when you get here. =^= Steve entered Engineering and saw a few crewmen running around looking rather lost. "Report Steve barked" Matheson stepped forward "Sir we don't know really what is going on, about three minutes ago we received a message from someone on the bridge." "What was said in this message" Steve asked before the poor Lieutenant got a chance to tell him. "It was very short sir, all it said was 'FO possessed disable warp drive immediately' and we have had nothing since." "Have you disabled the warp drive?" Steve asked and got the answer he was hoping for. "No not yet sir, your orders where not to do anything and I followed them to the letter." "Good work, I don't want anything done that can be detected by the bridge without my say so, understand?" "Aye sir." "Go and inform your staff of what I have said" With that Matheson walked off and Steve had a moment to think. Steve decided to get as much help as he could and set up a command base in Engineering. =^= Steve to Duchek report to Engineering right away. =^= There was one more person Steve could get down to help, he was sure he wouldn't be in the best of moods with Steve after what had happened but this situation was bigger then any mistake. =^= Steve to Harash-kyat, report to Engineering right away =^= With that Steve turned back to the small group of men he had working around him and started to give out orders. <TAG> Everyone OFF: Well where to start. Is great to see the mission so active, all of the new officer that have come in have made some great posts and look to be quite active (and speaking from experience that quite strange ) For everyone that doesn't know me I am Steve, Chief Intelligence Officer aboard the Vic and have been onboard this fine ship on and off for about 3 years now so from an old skool crew member welcome Now I started this post off with a kinda mini post on the bridge, I did this to give everyone up there a chance to post a reply and keep the mission going while setting up my character and others not on the bridge with something to to. Again welcome to all the new officers

The warp drive was still active. Why hadn't anyone done anything down in engineering yet. He decided to give them a little more help. For a second time he covertly sen a transmission to engineering giving them merely the co-ordinates of their destination. Hopefully they'd be able to do something with those. Until then he had little to no idea what to do; this was his first mission and already things were looking bad. The Captain had prevented the CTSO from restraining or incapacitating the FO. Maybe whatever was affecting the FO had taken a small hold within the Captain, a phaser stun wouldn't hurt him so why had the Captain halted the CTSO's actions after he had disarmed the FO? He had to do soemthing he couldn't just sit here an let this thing take a Starfleet vessel who knows where. Especially one as large as a Nebulae class, if he directed them into enemy territory they could potentially spark up a conflict.
Whilst the creature inside the FO's body continued to talk to the Captain Sebastian tried to send a message to the Ops panel.
Try to open one way communication to Engineering so they can hear whats going on up here.
The Ensign sat at the Ops panel moved her hands over a few buttons and a small bleep emitted from a panel by the FO's chair. He turned, looked at it and turned his attention to the Ops panel.
"Bad idea. You see I thought it would be prudent to set up a few warning systems of my own to prevent anyone from being stupid. Obviously you are."
He levelled the phaser at the Ensign and then turned it towards Sebastian. He fired at Sebastians hand and burnt it severly with the blast. Sebastian fell from hs chair and collapsed to the floor in agony.
"Seen as it was you who gave the order in the first place Mr. Drauis I thought you could do with a lesson in compliance. See unlike these other grunts who lie dead..." He said gesturing to the Security Officers. "...I could do with your piloting expertise. After all I did read your Academy record when you were assigned to this ship, I was currently its FO at the time. I just hope for your sake that doctor gets here quickly otherwise you may lose that." He stood over Sebastian and turned his attention to the Ensign at Ops. "If you try to help him you'll be next. And you I consider expendable."

NPC Post: Security Officer Ensign Sadler
Duchek: =^=Ensign Sadler, report to engineering immediately.=^=
Sadler: =^=Aye sir, on my way.=^=
(Sadler grabbed his phaser and quickly paced towards engineering. He noticed a lot of people talking in the halls but he had no idea what all the comotion was about. When he arrived at engineering he saw a filled engineering section with many officers hustling around. Duchek wasted no time in approaching Sadler)
Duchek: I don't have much time to explain the situation to you Ensign but I'll do the best I can.
(After a few minutes of some of the general details of the situation)
Duchek: You will assist the officer in charge down here which is Commander Steve and keep the area secure. There are a lot of sensitive areas down here and for all we know any of these officers could also be possessed.
(Sadler was still in shock about the whole situation. It had been the first time he had ever seen anything like this. But never the less as always he kept his phaser close and his eyes up. He figured it would be best that he introduce himself to Commander Steve to let him know he is there. He found Steve surrounded by a bunch of officers frantically tapping consoles and pacing around with information)
Sadler: Security Officer Sadler reporting in sir. Can I do anything sir?

"Harash-kyat report to Engineering"
Harash-kyat tapped his badge. "Acknowleged." he then turned to his bondmate. "And now they want me, one minute I m persona non grata now I m needed. Bah" "Quite whining dear and get going. Perhaps you ll find out whats going on." "Of course dearest" Harash-kyat replied sweetly. He got up pulled on his jacket and went to the door. He pasued in teh doorway. "Looks like our minder - Sadler has gone" "Oh excellent" Jali-tol exclaimed "I can get back to my lab" "Hmmph well dont work to late" "I ll work till I m finished" Sensing another arguement appearing Harash-kyat beat a hasty retreat and made for engingeering. He arrived and found himself in a hive of activity and worried faces. "Well I m here" He grunted "What do you want?" Steve ingnored the Grazerites rude approach now was not the time. "Theres something you should know." Steve quickly filled the engineer in. "Ah I see, So its not me anymore- The new guys been exonerated hey" "Now look here we dont have time for this." Harash-kyat looked sheepish a moment "No well, Of course - what do you want me to do?"

Steve was standing reading a pad just handed to him by Matheson when a young Ensign wearing a yellow uniform came up to him. "Security Officer Sadler reporting in sir. Can I do anything sir?" The man said. "You have been assigned to me by Duchek correct" Steve said very firmly "That's right sir." "Right I have Duchek working for me on some other business, I want you heading up security in Engineering." "Me sir?" Sadler said, a little surprised. "Yes, if you are not up to the task I will be happy to find someone that is." "No sir, I didn't mean that, I am up to anything you set me." Sadler said, this time with something in his voice that Steve new ment he was ready for the task. "Good" Steve said. "I need you to make sure that no one enters or leaves this room without checking with me first, no matter the rank. Also keep an eye out for anything out of the ordinary and report it to me, no matter how small. Understand?" "Yes sir" And with that Sadler walked off.
Steve bought the pad backup to his chest and started to read again, after about 2 minutes someone stood infront of him and he looked up. "Well I'm here" Harash-kyat grunted "What do you want?" Steve ignored the Grazerites rude approach now was not the time. "There's something you should know." Steve quickly filled the engineer in. "Ah I see, So its not me anymore- The new guys been exonerated hey" "Now look here we don't have time for this." Harash-kyat looked sheepish a moment "No well, Of course - what do you want me to do?" "I want you to take over as Chief Engineering Officer until this matter is sorted, I need someone that is used to this kind of ship and after looking at your service records you have worked with Galaxy class ships that are very alike and you are the highest ranking officer next to me that isn't captive." Harash-kyat stood there listening. "I need your experience and with no disrespect to Matheson I want you on the job." Steve said lowering his voice. "What do you want me to do then?" Steve was about to reply to the question when he heard something. "Incoming message from bridge" Matheson shouted Both Steve and Harash-kyat walked quickly over to where he was standing "What does it say?" asked Steve. Matheson showed it to Steve and Steve saw just a set of co-ordinates. "Someone find out if these co-ordinates are on our current heading... Now" and someone walked over to a computer and started working "Carry on" Steve said and walked off with Harash-kyat "Now where were we" Steve muttered "Oh yes, I need you to find me a way of seeing or hearing what's going on up there with out alerting anyone on the bridge." "Yes commander, is that all?" "For the moment and remember you may hold the same rank as me but you are on my ship so here and now I out rank you, understand." "Yes sir." And with that Harash-kyat started to give out orders.
Now where is that bloody doctor, Steve thought to himself, he should be here any minute.

Zirdek: Time to Arrival!
(Walker ignores the demands of Zirdek. Zirdek waits a couple of seconds and gets no answer. He quickly approaches Walker's station)
Zirdek: Listen, you better meet my demands or you and your crew will die!
Walker: You can't run a whole nebula class ship on your own, lets face it you need my crew. But no more. Computer, Begin Self Destruct Authorization Walker Delta 5.
(The computer beeped twice)
Computer: Code not recognized.
Zirdek: None of that, I know how you Starfleet captains work.
Walker: Work the helm station yourself.
(Walker punched a button and the ship fell out of warp. Zirdek took a phaser out and took aim at Walker. Gareth jumped on Zirdek's back. But for some reason he wouldn't go down. Zirdek got hold of Gareth holding on to his back and jerked his elbows back quickly sending Gareth flying across the bridge. Walker charged into Zirdek sending him to the floor)
Walker: =^= Security to the bridge=^=
(The commbadge didn't respond though)
Walker: What the hell..
(Walker ran up to the tactical console to see if that comm system would work, still no response though. Walker spotted his tactical officer on the floor bleeding from his head)
Walker: Ensign Sagara, are you concious?
OFF: Come on everyone lets get posting. We were rolling right along before. Maybe people in engineering can try to devise a plan to retake the bridge and people on the bridge can do their best to regain full control of the ship. I understand it is the holiday seasons but not all of you have asked for LOAs.

OFF: I'm back, obviously. Y'all haven't done much since I left. Didn't have any breakthroughs but let's see...
ON: Gareth jumped the man from behind and was flung back. Gareth managed to keep consciousness but barely and he could feel a trickled of blood making it down the side of his face. He heard the captain's voice.
"Ensign Sagara, are you conscious?"
Gareth slowly sat up with the captain's help.
"T' a certain exten' sir," came his growled reply.
Gareth could have sworn that he would have been able to take down the person. Gareth was taller by an inch and he was younger but he had been wrong before on things.
"Any ideas sir?" Gareth asked.
Zirdek heard him and sighed.
"You just don't know when to go down and stay down do you?" he asked.
Gareth smirked and slowly shook his head so he wouldn't become dizzy.
"It's a family trait. My ancestor was a samurai and despite this, he was considered t' be very honorable t' no' remain on th' ground while he could still fight."
"Well, I hope you loved your ancestors because if you try something stupid like jumping me again, you'll join them," snarled Zirdek and then spun around to face the front again.
Walker helped Gareth onto a chair.
"Are you all right ensign?" he asked.
"I'll be fine sir. It's jus' a minor head wound."
Walker nodded and then glared at Zirdek. Gareth saw a console in front of him and got an idea. The only question was would it work and if so, how much damage might come as a result? Gareth's mother had been a computer engineer and understood computers exceedingly and she had passed on her knowledge to him. Zirdek stared at Gareth.
"Watch for any approaching ships and alert me if you find any no matter how far away they are."
Gareth nodded, stood, staggered a bit back to his station, and sat down. He started some basic scans for any ships in the area while meanwhile hacking into the computer around Zirdek's little alerts. He looked for the helm controls and found them then found the alert controls. He turned to Walker.
"Sir, could you come here for a second? As I am still new t' this ship, I need a bi' of explanation abou' this."
He pointed at a random point on his screen and heard Walker approach. On the screen was typed the message, Bumpy ride ahead, brace yourself. Walker's brows knit in confusion then he played along and said something that sounded convincing. As he walked away, Gareth started up a red alert which caused everyone to look around.
"What's going on?" Zirdek asked.
"Unknown vessel closin' in on us," came Gareth's reply and he paused. "They're firin' on us! Brace for impact!"
Gareth then swung the ship sharply around, jostling Zirdek. Zirdek flew across the bridge and hit the opposite wall. Gareth's and many others' phasers were locked on Zirdek before he could regain his wits.
