USS Victory C- Episode 4.2 - Mission Neyounce

[Felix Savali]

Off: Ok people here starts the new mission. I will advance the timeline a bit. It is now 2 days after the promotion of Felix to Captain.

Felix was walking through the corridors of the Victory C and making way towards the bridge. New orders have just arrived from Admiral Magellan Lin and a new mission has been assigned to them. After he read through the mission plan, he deemed it was going to be a simple mission, during which they would have enough time to get some rest from the last one and perhaps get some time to sort out their personal problems too.

When he arrived to the bridge he saw that all of the senior staff was already there. Well they are fast he thought. He made way to the center of bridge before he began to speak.

"As some of you may already know, our shore leave has been cut short. There is an emergency mission to be carried out, details of which you will hear at the briefing from Cmdr. Rylka after we depart, and we are the only ship that is able to carry it out", he said

"However the admiral has promised to make it up to us for cutting the shore leave short by allowing us to take a vacation on Risa after we complete the mission.", he said

After the approving comments from the crew Felix thought it was time to be on their way.

"Number 1, contact the Starbase command and check if they have completed loading the supplies into our cargo bays", he said to Tiffani

"Yes, sir"; Tiffani replied as she went on to contact the base command

"Mr. Gonto, set coordinates to 231-24-56", he said

"Yes sir", Gonto replied

"Prepare for departure and undock from the base as soon as you get confirmation that all supplies have been loaded"; he said

"Aye, sir"; Gonto replied

"Prepare to jump to warp 8 as soon as we've put enough distance between us and the base and on my order", Felix said

"Understood"; Gonto said as he went around preparing to initiate undocking procedures as soon as he got confirmation from Cmdr. Rylka

After he gave out his first orders as Captain he sat down in the center chair and opened a channel with engineering.

=/\=Cmdr. Parker here, go ahead=/\=

=/\=I hope you got those engines prepared Cmdr. we'll be needing warp 8 as soon as we've put enough distance between the ship and the base=/\=, he said

After Cmdr. Parker replied to him he closed the channel and directed his view at the view screen. It was still showing the interior of the docking bay at Starbase Conqueror but soon it would again be displaying the darkness of space intermitted by the tiny lights of starts of which some were millions of kilometers away.

*after tiffani had made it back to the ship but not before meeting with her mother to see if she could watch Amilea for her until this next mission was over she had headed to the bridge, where she found everyone in their right place, she took her place next to felix, not really looking in his direction as she still had a lot going through her mind she listened as he gave out the orders, it seemed it took him no time adjusting to being captain, she kept her opinions to herself though and listened as finished his orders and as he addressed her*

Number 1, contact the Starbase command and check if they have completed loading the supplies into our cargo bays, *he said to Tiffani*

Yes, sir *Tiffani replied as she contacted the Starbase, she sent off a message and waited momentarily to get a reply back in such she listened as watched as everyone busied themself even felix who pretended as though everything was good between them, she was surpised he could put hisself into his work so easly and not let his personal problems affect him, she shook the thought away when the message arrived*

Starbase reports that everything is transported and it's an all go on our end *replied Tiffani to Felix, she watched as the ship started to depart, it was amazing how the stars seem to look as though they were flying by you at one minute and to stand still at the next, felix soon begin giving out more orders but her mind kinda drifted mometarily returning only briefly after felix finished giving out orders to give her own, she tapped her commbadge and begin speaking*

*she tapped her commbadge once more signaling it off and leaned back in the chair watching the view screen*

Kahlena had been busy in sickbay. She didn't know what was among the stores, and she decided now was as good time as any to find out what was there. She took a padd, sighed, and started to inventory.


Several hours later, she knew everything they had, and had it catalogged the way she wanted it. She knew she would have to update this catalog regularly, and she didn't want to think about that. She realized that since she had been aboard, although it wasn't long, she hadn't given any physicals. She didn't know the status of the crews health, and that bothered her. She didn't bother looking to see when the last physicals were, because she hadn't done them, and she prefered to do it herself.

=^=The following need to report to sickbay, Captain Savali, Sarina Bahri, and Commander Parker.=^=

She went to get sickbay ready for those who would be arriving soon, and she hoped that the crew wouldn't keep her waiting long. She noticed the biobed had a tricorder next to it, and she wondered if she needed anything else. She thought of something, and got a padd putting it in her belt for anything she might want to record.

A few minutes later a female shorter than herself strolled in. "Hello, I am Ensign Loal, the counsellor for the ship. I am here for a physical, and then we need to talk." She said, and Kahlena was surprised to find someone so eager for a physical. She made a mental note as Ensign Loal took a seat on the biobed. Kahlena picked up a tricorder, and did the routine physical.

Once the physical was done, she made some notes on her padd, then looked up to see what the woman may have wanted earlier in her mention of them needing to talk.

"Being the counsellor here, I need to make sure everyone is mentally fit to do their duty. I need you to fill out this form for me, and then return it as soon as possible. I will be doing evaluations on all crew that enter here, and I would appreciate it if I could use your office to do so. I have a padd ready for all members of the crew, I just need to collect them to get it done. You also need to get them here to get your physicals done. Not easy tasks, but if we work together we might be able to get this done." She said, and Kahlena took the padd, putting her own back in her belt. She noticed none of the crew had arrived yet.

"I will fill this out now, and yes, you may use my office to do your evaluations. I will have them report to you once I am done with them. This is a good plan, and I am glad you thought of it." Kahlena said, and quickly looked back at the padd she had been handed. She started to fill it out, and was finished in minutes. She followed the other woman into her office, and when the counsellor turned around she was startled.

"I didn't mean to startle you, and I have finished filling out that form you wanted. Here you go." Kahlena said, and then left before the counsellor could reply. Ensign Loal looked over the padd, and then quickly set things up behind the doctors desk. She was glad the doctor had been cooperative, and she hoped the crew would be too.

Sarina had just finished getting her quarters rearranged when she heard the comm.

She quickly grabbed her uniform jacket and slipped her arms into it, buttoning up the toggles as she headed for sickbay. She tapped her combadge as she headed for the turbolift.

=/\= On my way Sir. Acting Ensign Bahri out. =/\=

She closed the connection as she stepped into the turbolift, the doors closing a short time later, the lift decending towards sickbay. Sarina had taken the time to change into uniform and straightened the jacket nervously, the lift stopping on the medical deck and the doors opening allowing her to depart.

The corridor was empty, which didn't surprise her really. It wasn't like at the Academy where people were around all the time. The shifts were different and the crew was very diverse. The walk short, the doors to sickbay swishing open to reveal the CMO chatting with another woman.

Sarina stood quietly waiting for them to finish their conversation before inturrupting.

"Acting Ensign Sarina Bahri reporting as ordered Sir."

[kahlena]

She walked out of her office finding a woman standing in sickbay. She heard who it was, and was glad that someone had reported as she had ordered.

"Welcome ensign, sit down on the biobed, and we will have this done in no time." She said going to pick up a tricorder. She noticed out of the three the lowest ranked was here. She wondered how many times she was going to have to call the captain down.

Once she was on the biobed, Kahlena quickly started to do the standard procedures. In a few minutes she had all the info she needed on the ensign medically, so she took out her padd and made a few notes.

"Have you had any allergies before? Have you had anything wrong with you in the past? Is there anything else I should note?" She said finishing up.

"Very well, thank you for the information. Now if you will just step into my office, the counsellor would like to have a few words with you." She said and motioned for the ensign where her office was.



Once she was there, the counsellor looked up and was startled again. "Oh don't mind me, I get startled easily I am told. Come have a seat, I am Ensign Loal." She said and smiled.

"It is good to meet you ensign, good to know there are more of my rank aboard. Is there anything you feel you need to talk to me about?" She said trying to get started instead of beating around the bush.

"Mr. Gonto, set coordinates to 231-24-56," he said.

"Yes sir," Gonto replied.

"Prepare for departure and undock from the base as soon as you get confirmation that all supplies have been loaded," he said.

"Prepare to jump to warp 8 as soon as we've put enough distance between us and the base and on my order," Felix said.

"Understood," Gonto said as he went around preparing to initiate undocking procedures as soon as he got confirmation from Cmdr. Rylka.

Minutes later, CMDR, Rylka signalled to Travor that they were ready to depart. He iniated the undocking procedures and began to move the ship at 1/4 impulse away from the station. When they were a good distance away, he said, "Ready to go to warp on your order sir."

<CAPTAIN Savali>

"Yes, sir. Going to warp," Travor replied as he touched to bottons that would send them at warp 8 to parts unknown.

"Sir, if you don't mind I would to do a follow with the doctor about my condition," Travor told the CO.

Sam was stood monitoring the warp core, she wanted to check that it was working properly after being shut down for the last few days while they finished there diagnostics on it and did a few repairs and upgrades. There was a called from the bridge a moment later.

=/\=I hope you got those engines prepared Cmdr. we'll be needing warp 8 as soon as we've put enough distance between the ship and the base=/\=, Felix said

=/\= Understood, I am monitoring the engines myself, but they should work perfectly after all the upgrades and repairs we did during shore leave =/\=

Felix closed the communications channel and Sam continued to watch the consoles screen, hoping that everything would go. A moment later there was another call from Tiffani about the up coming briefing. She was curious about what this mission was as she hadn’t heard much along the grape vine.

There was another called this time from sickbay ordering her to go for a medical, she didn’t have time at the moment.

She responded politely hoping she could put it of for a bit longer. Then she returned her mind to the console watching as the warp core was activated and the ship entered warp 8. The ship seemed to be working fine and she looked though each of the sensors that monitored the warp core to see if there were any in consistencies in the readouts, everything seemed to be working within normal parameters she was relieved.

She entered into her office there was a short while until the briefing and she didn’t really want to go to sickbay for her medical, so she decided to read though the reports on her computer and do some paper work. As she worked her mind seemed to drift, she wondered if Felix and Tiffani had actually sorted things out and what Felix’s feeling were. She hadn’t had chance to speak to Felix in the last 2 days with the busy work of getting the ship ready to leave space dock, moving supplies on and off and doing some such needed upgrades and repairs. She hoped she would get a chance to speak to him soon and find out what was going on.

Off: Like the line says this takes place the day before the mission start.

--The previous day--

After all the excitement about his promotion, Felix and Tiffani finally found some time to finish their conversation from the day before.

"I believe you asked me what led me to change my mind from being angry at you to willing to forget it all?"; Felix asked

Yes *Tiffani replied, looking at him with curiosity*

"Well I had a talk with Samantha and she made me see that I still love you and that I should not let something like this accident separate us if I love you"; he said

*Tiffani frowned and her eyebrow raised up, she was not one to read thoughts of people generally but she knew that there was something more to what Felix was telling her but she wasn't sure what* I see. *Tiffani replied* I'm sure there was more to her telling you this *she commented further*

"Like I said she made me realize how much I love you and Amilea and that I should go back to you", he said, "And she let me sleep on her couch for the night", he said looking at Tiffani

*Tiffani raised an eyebrow* I’m sure she did, don't expect me to thank her *Tiffani replied* you two seemed to have shared a lot that night

"What is that supposed to mean?", he asked

Felix, I know you’re hiding something from me *She replied* do you not forget that I am empathic? *She questioned*

"Hiding? Well I suppose I can't hide anything from you"; he said smiling, "We spent a bit chatting about the old days and all the fun we used to have and i gave her a kiss for good night he said, a friendly kiss"

*she frowned at his innocent* yea I’m sure it was a friendly kiss *her temper raised slightly*

"Does it really matter?", he asked, "Isn't it important that we have a chance to be back together and forget everything that happened before and start over?"; he asked

*she shook her head* yes it matters, because you are the one who got angry when Moraka kissed me *she stopped herself when she mentioned his name, she hadn't meant to bring him up* look Felix, it isn't going to be easy even if we do try and start over, you have your ex back on the ship how am I to trust you if every time we have a fight you go running back to her? *She questioned*

"First of you shouldn't be lecturing me, you're the one who started kissing others first"; he said, "And even if I let the moment take over, that does not mean i can't control myself like some"; he said his voice slowly loosing the calm it had when he came in, "And yes its not going to be easy, how am I to trust that you wont go kissing on the next minister we meet?"; he said,

"We will just need to trust each other again"

Trust? *she huffed*right like that is going to happen when you wouldn't even trust me when I tried telling you the kiss meant nothing instead you trusted your ex over me *she was to the point that she wasn't even happy with him anymore, she knew it was probably a good idea that Amilea was gone as the fighting was most certainly not good for her, she let her emotions calm down before continuing on* You seem to think that we can fix this all in one day.

"No, I came here to offer a chance for a new start", he said, "It will take a lot of time for things to be as they used to be, but that can only happen if both sides want it"; he said

Is that what you honestly want? *She questioned* a new start? can you say you honestly want to start over between us? even though we have this rock in-between us?*she questioned

"Yes I can say and I want a fresh start between us and this time we'll do it right. I'll spend more time with you and Amilea this time and try not to let my job get in-between us"; he said

*she shook her head sitting on the couch for a moment to think a part of her was telling her no not too, but she loved him still she though, she sighed and looked up at him* you've just been promoted to captain, you can't promise more time, you were busy enough as acting i can only imagine what it will be like now *she replied*

"I'm the captain I can have flexible working hours now"; he smiled

*Tiffani half smiled as she looked at him* I suppose we can give it another try, I can't promise you anything Felix, I hope you can however accept it, it's been hard for me knowing you was with her, I never meant to hurt you in any way *she commented in a soft tone almost on the verge of tears*

"I know you didn't mean it", he said, "It was my fault you went on kissing him in the first place", he said moving to her to give her a hug

*Tiffani was at first reluctant to hug him, she was still angry at him for so much but she decided that for now she would accept the hug and returned it*

--Present time, Main Bridge--

Minutes later, CMDR, Rylka signaled to Travor that they were ready to depart. He initiated the undocking procedures and began to move the ship at 1/4 impulse away from the station. When they were a good distance away, he said, "Ready to go to warp on your order sir."

"Engage, Lieutenant", Felix said to Travor

«Yes, sir. Going to warp," Travor replied as he touched to buttons that would send them at warp 8 to parts unknown.

"Sir, if you don't mind I would to do a follow with the doctor about my condition," Travor told the CO.

"By all means Lt.", Felix said, "Just don't be late for the briefing"; Felix said as he watched Travor getting up from his seat

--A few moments later--

While Felix was looking over some reports about their mission specifics a call came from sickbay for him to report for a checkup.

=/\=Now doctor I am afraid I am too busy right now and therefore am unable to report in for a checkup at this time so I would advise you that you proceed with other checkups and leave me for the end. I will contact you when I am able to report for a checkup=/\=

Felix said as he closed the channel. Well now that was done, he thought. But it probably wouldn't hold if this doctor was like any others she’s probably going to go bugging him about it in no time. He got up from his seat and turned to look at Tiffani.

"I'll be in my ready room"; he said, "You have the bridge and I will see you at the staff meeting"; he said as he listened to Tiffani acknowledging taking over the bridge before he proceeded to his ready room

*Tiffani listened in amusement as felix attempted to weasle out of the checkup she knew he wasn't that busy for one but that it was because he didn't much care for being back in sickbay any time soon, she smiled at him when he turned to face her*

"I'll be in my ready room"; he said, "You have the bridge and I will see you at the staff meeting"; he said as he listened to Tiffani acknowledging taking over the bridge before he proceeded to his ready room.

*She smiled and nodded* understood *she watched as he entered his ready room then stood to take her seat in the center chair for a while, she loved sitting in it when he had just left because it was still warm fromwhen he was there and it reminded her of how the used to snuggle, she sighed slightly just as anotherofficer took up the first officer seat she smiled*

Helm how long till we reach Neyounce? *She questioned*

Approximately 5 hours ma'am *replied helm*

Very good! *she smiled, then decided to check in with felix, she turned to the officer setting next to her* you have the bridge momentarily i need to speak with the Captain *She heard a few smirks from the bridge crew and just gave them a glare causing them to turn back to what they was doing before she shoot and made her way to the Captain's ready room, she buzzed before entering waiting on a response*

*Tiffani entered and smiled* Thought i'd pay you a surpise visite *she commented*

The Bridge is fine *she chuckled* although i think some of your crew officers might be talking right about now *she grinned as she went over and sit moreless on his desk she was feeling like being bold and knew that the only way she was going to start getting to see more of felix if she made surpise visits to his ready room*

Kahlena had gotten the messages from the captain and engineer, and sighed. She had hoped getting them here would be easier. She looked to see who was next on her list.

She announced on the commlink. She wondered who else was going to put this little rendezvous on hold. She hoped she wouldn't have to order anyone there, and she let it go for now with the few.

[Sickbay]

"Welcome ensign, sit down on the biobed, and we will have this done in no time." The doctor said as she motioned for Sarina to sit on the nearby biobed.

Sarina hated doctors but kept that information to herself as the scans and necessary medical information was collected.

"Have you had any allergies before? Have you had anything wrong with you in the past? Is there anything else I should note?" the Doctor asked as she finishing up.

"No sir. I don't have any allergies nor have I had any major illnesses or accidents." Sarina said as she slipped from the biobed.

"Very well, thank you for the information. Now if you will just step into my office, the counsellor would like to have a few words with you." The Doctor said as she motioned towards her office.

[CMOs Office]

Sarina knocked on the door, which was open and smiled slightly as the counsellor looked up obviously startled at her appearance.

"Oh don't mind me, I get startled easily I am told. Come have a seat, I am Ensign Loal." She said and smiled.

"It is good to meet you ensign, good to know there are more of my rank aboard. Is there anything you feel you need to talk to me about?" She said trying to get started instead of beating around the bush.

"I'm Acting Ensign Sarina Bahri, assigned to the USS Victory. I only just arrived." Sarina said as she took a seat.

Nika stood at the science console, watching what others were doing. She spent a lot of her time on the bridge doing that, taking in information, learning new things. She didn’t talk, and there wasn’t much she could do beside the constant scanning of the incoming information, and receiving updates from other science officers about ongoing research.

She heard that they were heading at warp eight, but she didn’t know where exactly the coordinates referred to, and she wondered a little where the ship could be going in such a hurry.

Nika glanced over the latest bit of data that had been received, and walked down to sickbay. Better to have it done when there wasn’t anything important she had to do, she thought. Besides, as far as she was concerned, she was overdue for one. She had had the impression that medical physicals should be done at least every year, but she had been in Starfleet six months, albeit on ships without Chief Medical Officers.

Entering sickbay, she looked around, and didn’t immediately see the doctor, so she waited patiently for her.

"Aye, Sir, I wont be late unless the new doctor keeps me in sickbay," Travor said as he headed towards sickbay.

He was just getting off the turbolift when he heard the announcement from Dr, Kahlena. Tapping his commbadge he replied =/\=On my way doctor=/\=

He entered sickbay and saw Nika, but didn't immediately see the doctor. He nodded towards the science officer.

When the doctor came in from her office, Travor let her examine Nika first, seeing as how she was there first. When it was his turn he sat on the Biobed, and waited while the doctor scanned him.

*She heard a few smirks from the bridge crew and just gave them a glare causing them to turn back to what they was doing before she shoot and made her way to the Captain's ready room, she buzzed before entering waiting on a response*

"Come", Felix said putting down the padd he was studying

*Tiffani entered and smiled* Thought I’d pay you a surprise visit *she commented*

"You know i may have to ask people to schedule a meeting before coming here"; he smiled, "But whose in command if you're here and the second officer in engineering and other half of the senior officers in sickbay?", he asked

The Bridge is fine *she chuckled* although I think some of your crew officers might be talking right about now *she grinned as she went over and sit moreless on his desk she was feeling like being bold and knew that the only way she was going to start getting to see more of Felix if she made surprise visits to his ready room*

"You know I could have you reprimanded for sitting there and send you to clean plasma intake manifolds for punishment"; he said smiling at her

"So did you go over the briefing you're going to give in about 45 minutes?"; he asked

--Meanwhile in Engineering--

John Matheson just entered the engineering office and only then did he notice that Cmdr. Parker was already inside.

"Oh, sorry"; he said, "Didn't know you were in there boss"; he said as he turned to leave but then he noticed that something seems to be bothering his chief

"If I’m not being to... rude.", he said, "You seem like there is something bothering you"; he said, "Do you perhaps want to share"; he asked, "It might make you feel better."

[tiffani]

"You know I could have you reprimanded for sitting there and send you to clean plasma intake manifolds for punishment"; he said smiling at her

Well just remember you could always end up sleeping on the couch *she grinned*

"So did you go over the briefing you're going to give in about 45 minutes?"; he asked

*she smiled moving to a more comfortable position in the chair* Indeed i did everything should go accordling if we have no surpises *she frowned* although i'm slightly concerned at the fact starfleet gave us so little information.

“It’s nothing I really want to talk about,” Sam said deciding it would not be smart to pass the information about her, Felix and Tiffani. She didn’t want to take the risk of an accident slip up of the tongue and

“It could help to talk,” he persisted.

“It’s just love life problems, there’s not much talking about it will do to help,” she said turning back to her computer screen, “Thank you anyway.”

“If you change your mind, you know where I am,” he said leaving the office.

“Ok, thanks,” she said returning to the reports. The mission briefing would be starting shortly and she wanted to finish this paper before then.

OOC: seeing as Felix is taking a few days off i'll go ahead and jump a head a bit then he can back sim when he returns.

ON:

*Tiffani decided that she would go ahead and get her physical out of the way so once she left felix office she headed to sickbay upon entering she found it to be quit the busy place, she looked around for the doctor not sure what to make of sickbay and smiled as an officer walked by* Excuse me i'm loooking for the new Chief Medical officer? *She questioned*

She's right over there ma'am *she pointed in the direction of where the medical officer was standing*

*tiffani smiled* Thanks *she walked over to the chief medical officer* excuse me, *she said softly* I'm here for my phsyical any way we can make this quick i have a crew briefing in about 30 minutes*

Sarina finished her session with the counsellor, after being excused left sickbay and headed back to the bridge and her station. She brushed the imaginary wrinkles out of her uniform and stepped into the turbolift. She knew there was a senior staff meeting coming up and wanted to be on the bridge and at her station instead of having someone have to come look for her.

The doors to the lift closed and Sarina leaned back against the wall as it rose upwards. Her hand straying to a hair which had dropped in front of her face and she brushed it back out of the way. The ride short and the lift empty, making no stops along the way.

She stood just as the lift stopped and the doors opened stepping onto the bridge. With a brief nod as a few heads turned in her direction she made her way to her station, relieving the officer there.

The counsellor finished with the ensign, giving her a padd to fill out and then letting her go about her duties. She would have all the information she would need, once the padd was returned. She wondered when the doctor would send another one into her mist.



Kahlena was busy when she noticed two officers enter. She motioned for one of them to sit on the nearest biobed. The female moved first.

"Are you the commander or Nika?" She said as she picked up a tricorder. She started to scan and heard the answer as she was just in the middle of scanning.

"Do you have any allergies?" She said and continued to scan.

She finished with Nika, and decided to move on. "You should go to my office, the counsellor would like to have a few words with you." She said and motioned for Gonto to move to the biobed. She wrote something on her padd, and put it back in her belt.

"Okay, do you have any allergies?" She said and started to scan him. She worked from head to toe, and moved as quickly as she could.

"Okay, done. Your next for the counsellor. Wait by the door and watch through the window to see if she is finished with Nika." She said, and then noticed the commander had come.


"Sorry commander I hadn't noticed you had arrived. This shouldn't take long, and then the counsellor would like to take some time with you. Have you had any allergies?" She said and started to scan her. It only took a few minutes.

"Okay, you and Gonto await for the counsellor." She said and motioned for the commander toward her office.




The counsellor had been waiting for the next victim, person she realized, and she smiled.

"Come in and have a seat. Don't worry this won't take long. I just want to have introductions and give you something. I am Ensign Loal." She said, and heard the woman's name.

"Ok, Nika, I need you to fill this out and return it to me as soon as you can. Thanks for stopping by, and I look forward to reading your answers." She said handing the padd over, and looked to see who was next. She noticed the man let the lady go first. A gentleman, something I will have to remember, Loal thought.

"Welcome, and please have a seat. I am Ensign Loal, the new counsellor. Who might you be?" She said, and then noticed the rank on the woman's uniform. She wondered what she had gotten herself into. She stands at attention until she is told to return to her position.

"Sorry, ma'am, I didn't realize." She mumbled picking up the padd meant for the commander.

"If you could just fill this out and return it to me when it is most convient for you, ma'am, I would appreciate it. Thanks for coming." She said and felt so small as the woman left. The last of the trio came in, and she was grateful that he wasn't the captain. She didn't know what she would do when he came, and she hoped she had time to figure that out. She cursed mentally for not being prepared.

"Welcome, I am Ensign Loal, the counsellor." She said not realizing what she had done. He had made fun of her, and she blushed slightly.

"Ha ha, very funny. Well then maybe I should give you a different padd, the one I marked for commedians. Believe me, you don't want that one, no one likes it." She said keeping a straight face, and trying not to laugh, which was proving to be difficult. She managed though, and looked up to see him horrified. Or is he acting, she thought. She put those thoughts aside.

"Well, I just need you to answer some questions, but only when you have the time. I have them all here on a padd. Return it to me when you are done." She said, hoping that these padds made it back to her, and before the year ended.

While Travor was waiting for the Doctor to examine him, Commander Rylka came in.

"Hello, Commander. How are you today?"

"I am still waiting for the Doctor. She is doing Nika's physical right now. If you would like, you can go first, I have some questions I would like to ask her," Travor said.

After the doctor finished with Nika, she sent her to see the counsellor and went on to the Commander. Travor just sat on the Biobed and waited for Kahlena to finish with the Commander.

When she was finished with the Commander, she sent her into her office, where the counsellor was at. Kahlena then came to Travor

"What seems to be the problem, Lt?" She asked.

"Well Doctor, while I was in my quarters these past two days, I have been experiencing strange sensations. Just by thinking something happens, such as getting up and getting a PADD off the desk, it flys to my hand. I also am begining to hear things. It sounds like people everywhere are talking to me, but no-one is moving their lips. It's strange. I don't know what to make of it.

Travor replied, "Ok, Doctor. I will try and take it easy over this mission. And I will go see the counsellor, Have a good day Doctor."

Travor got up off the BIO BED and went into the CMO's office. "Counsellor," He said. She looked startled and fumbled around for a PADD.

"Welcome, I am Ensign Loal, the counsellor." She said not realizing what she had done.

"Looks like you need to get organized a little," Travor said. He had made fun of her, not intending to. She blushed slightly.

"Ha ha, very funny. Well then maybe I should give you a different padd, the one I marked for commedians. Believe me, you don't want that one, no one likes it."

Travor could tell she was trying to keep a straight face, and trying not to laugh, which looked like it was proving to be difficult. Travor couldn't tell if she was serious or not, judging her face. But Travor could tell she wasn't because, he could hear her thoughts. He pretended to be horrified.

"Well, I just need you to answer some questions, but only when you have the time. I have them all here on a padd. Return it to me when you are done." She said, Travor could tell she was hoping that these padds made it back to her, and before the year ended.

"Don't worry, Ensign, I will get this back to you before the end of the week. By the way, I was wondering if you by chance are part Betazoid?

"I see, the reason I am asking is, Over the past few days, I have been hearing people talking, but they aren't moving their lips. Also I have been experiencing strange things. Just by think that I am going to get up and get something, it flies to my hand. I am not sure what to make of it. What do you think?" Travor asked.

Sam finished the report off and decided that she didn’t have enough time to start another before the briefing began. She headed out of the office and out of engineering and into the turbolift.

“Deck 1, observation lounge,” she requested as she entered. The turbolift shoot upwards and it took only a few moments for it to arrive at it destination.

She stepped out onto the corridor and walked the short distance to the observation lounge. The door slid open and she went in. There was no one else there and she moved over to the window. She watched the stars streak by as the ship moved at warp speed though space.

Her mind drifted to everything that had happened over the pass few days with her Felix and Tiffani. She wasn’t looking forward to seeing Tiffani again; she’d managed to avoid her for the last few days, staying down in engineering and away from the bridge. But she couldn’t avoid meeting her at this briefing and she had to remember just to act professional and forget about the argument between them.

She heard the familiar sound of the doors sliding open and she turned to see who it was.

"Are you the commander or Nika?" The doctor asked.

“It’s Nika,” Nika replied, sitting fairly nervously and very still while she was scanned. She wasn’t quite comfortable with the idea that this small machine could detail her insides, but it seemed like it would be able to better do its job if she didn’t move much.

"Do you have any allergies?" She said and continued to scan.

“No, no allergies. At least, not that I know of.”

"You should go to my office, the counsellor would like to have a few words with you," The doctor said.

Nika nodded, and entered the office. She sat, as the counselor told her to, although she wasn’t quite sure what she needed to talk about with a counselor. She didn’t think that talking to someone she didn’t know would be much fun, but it depended a great deal what she had to talk about.

"I just want to have introductions and give you something. I am Ensign Loal," the counselor said.

“I’m Nika,” Nika replied, since she could tell that the counselor expected her to reply with her name. Nika accepted the PADD, and glanced over the questions, before leaving to let the counselor talk with the next person. Nika studied the questions briefly, but didn’t feel like answering any of them just now, and she remembered that there was going to be a senior staff briefing soon.

Nika walked back to her quarters to drop the PADD off there, that way she could answer them at some point when she didn’t have other things to do. Nika was still too early to go to the briefing, so she decided to drop by the observation room, watch the stars a little, as they would be, uncomplicated by any star charts or any noise.

As Nika entered, she saw that there was already someone in there-the Chief Engineer. “Oh, sorry,” Nika said. “I didn’t know anyone was here, I can leave.”

“There’s no need to leave,” Sam said gesturing Nika into the room, “I was just admiring the view and my mind wandered a bit.”

“It’s beautiful isn’t it,” Sam said, as Nika moved and stood next to her and looked out at the stars as well, “You just seem to lose yourself in those little specs of light as they fly by.”

“Anyway,” Sam said tearing herself away from the window and taking one of the seats around the large conference table, “I guess we are both a bit early,”

Nika took the seat next to her.

“We seem to be in a hurry to get to our knew location travelling at warp 8. You hear anything about our new mission?” Sam asked as she leaned back into the seat making herself comfortable as she knew she could be sat here a while.

Kahlena couldn't believe her ears. She was surprised to find more happening with Gonto, and had hoped that things would ease up for the poor guy.

"The hearing people when they don't speak, sounds like you are telepathic, as for the other one, well that is telekenetic. Have you ever been able to do those things before?" She said, and wasn't surprised by the answer.

"I see. Well, what do you think might have caused this? I can give you something that might counteract telepathic frequencies, or you might try finding someone to help you train as a telepath. I don't know what to tell you about the telekenetic part. I don't have any medicines to help that. You might ask the counsellor if she knows about it." She said looking to see if he might want to take the medicine.

"Just take it easy this next mission, make sure to relax. Don't over do it, and maybe things will fall into place for you." She said not sure what advice to give him.





Gonto was interesting. She had never spoken to anyone who could read her mind, and somehow that made her a bit afraid. If he could read her mind, then she knew he would be able to hear what she was thinking now.

"No, I am not betazoid or telepathic. I am very much human, have been all my life. Is there something bothering you?" She said picking up this feeling that he wanted to talk about something. She didn't know if he would tell her, but she had to try.

"Well, I don't know. Have you talked to the doctor? Maybe you just need to relax, then again it might be something that doesn't just go away. Have you talked to the captain about this? He might know of someone who could help you. I am sorry that I haven't been more help. If you need anything though, I will be around." She said hoping he would take her advice and see the captain.
