OFF: Okay quick note to anyone who's on the TS – by that I mean the likes of Luke, Kirk, Danny etc who are actually on the ship in sim, no killing our baddies, stun them, punch them, but don't kill them or seriously injure them... okay good that’s done now
ON: "Now make your choice Admiral... who shall die?"
KezTrek knew Illian was reading her mind, now that she was looking for it; his presence was easier to sense. Peers, J'Leera, Thirteen... those where her choices. She knew J'Leera and Thirteen, had served with them for quite a while now, had come through a few pretty hairy situations with them, but Peers was so young, despite her personal feelings for J'Leera and Thirteen she couldn't imagine choosing him, letting someone so young and eager die senselessly.
'The young one is also a telepath, though not as skilled as yourself.' Illian spoke into her mind. She'd know that of course, but her own mind was well guarded against intrusion, that Illian had managed to so easily get through her mental blocks was disturbing enough, still she was sure T'Brel could not.
"I will not wait all day for your answer Admiral." Illian said aloud so the others could hear him.
KezTrek saw no point in hiding her feelings from him and her mind clearly showed her displeasure, but her face remained passive, the others did not need to know her thoughts.
J'Leera or Thirteen... 'or T'Brel' Illian added.
'NO!' KezTrek stated clearly in her mind, T'Brel was the innocent in this situation, if anyone could be called that... J'Leera and Thirteen were her choices, but the thought of choosing...
She thought about what she knew about each of them... J'Leera had a family, Thirteen... she wasn't sure if she was even kidding herself anymore, let alone Illian, her decision had been made the moment he'd given the ultimatum. She knew if this was a combat situation, Thirteen's job would be to protect the other two, it came with the territory of being a Security officer, but his was not combat and despite knowing that given the choice Thirteen would choose to give his own life over that of his crewmates, it was no easy choice.
"You have made your choice." Said Illian, speaking aloud again, he wasn't going to give her more time, she needed more time, she wasn't ready to admit defeat yet, but defeat was long past and there were no other options left. "Speak it." Illian instructed.
KezTrek was about to give in, when the doors opened and another person, a young woman who was clearly with child, entered the room.
"Leoni, leave." Illian instructed.
"No, please... Leoni was it... stay, I am Rear Admiral KezTrek; Illian graciously invited us to dinner." KezTrek said stepping forward, she saw her chance for a way out of this, Leoni was clearly slowed by heavy pregnancy and it was easy to grab her.
"The lock I have her in means if she moves but an inch her neck will snap... rest assured Illian, I am prepared to kill her and the child." KezTrek told him.
"Release her!" Illian showed the first real fire he had shown since she'd first seen him on the view screen.
"I don't believe I will. Until you recall your men from my ship and release my officers." KezTrek told him. She knew he could see her mind, knew she was fully prepared to carry out her threat, she would kill to protect her officers just as she was sure he would to protect his... but this was different, she could sense the strong bond between Illian and Leoni, they were mates, the child she carried was his.
"I could kill you where you stand." Illian said angrily.
"Not without risking harm to her you couldn't." KezTrek knew she was correct, Illian couldn't fire on them the risk of hurting Leoni or his child was too great, she also knew Illian knew she was right.
"You agreed to take part in our challenges." Said Illian.
"Correction, I agreed to take part if it wouldn't cause damage to my crew, I think death constitutes damage." KezTrek said calmly.
"You speak of protecting them, yet you would kill an innocent to protect them, how does this protect them, what does this teach them, it shows no consideration for life other than your own." Illian accused.
"You want to kill me, be my guest, but be a man about it and don't hide behind your own over inflated sense of self-important. You stand there acting like you are so much more important, so much better than us, yet for no other reason that to feed your own ego you would take the life of someone you don't even know!" KezTrek said.
Her patience with this game was tiring, but she held her ground, physically and mentally. She had no wish to spill blood, but if it was to be spilled, it would not be from her officers.

Luke had allowed Kirk and Bower to work on the plan. It was a good idea but relied a lot on the technology of the unknown vessel and Luke was pretty much certain that they were more technologically advanced.
"What the..." He muttered to himself.
"Commander?" A security officer enquired.
"I could've sworn something moved behind me Lt." Luke said in response.
"There is nothing here Sir." The officer started to say but was interupted as a slight shimmering took place in front of Luke and 15 of those odd looking creatures appeared in front of him, all armed to the teeth.
Luke sprang to his feet and tapped his comm badge.
"Intruder alert! All security personnel respond!"
"Commander, I am Orlinis. You and your crew are now in my custody. Order your security personnel to stand down or I will destroy your ship now. It is of no difference to me either way."
Luke panicked. He had not been expecting this at all. KezTrek had always told him not to be a hero, maybe now was the time to listen.
Luke tapped his comm badge again. "All decks, stand down. I repeat stand down. Make no action towards the boarders. I repeat no action must be taken."
"Very good Commander. Now let us talk in the Admiral's Ready Room, your crew will be taken to Holodecks 1, 2, 3 and 4 and Bridge control handed over to my deputy. Understood?"
Luke nodded. He felt totally humiliated to be shepherded about by this unwelcome guest. Luke could feel anger boiling within him that he had never felt before.

"All decks, stand down. I repeat stand down. Make no action towards the boarders. I repeat no action must be taken." continued along the tube way. As Kirk continued to crawl along the tube way he tried to check the position of little green men running around the ship, but he found it hard to crawl and check the PADD at the same time.
Kirk heard the order come just after he climbed into the Jeffries tube, he couldn't believe what he was hearing. Stand down, you have got to be kidding me, Kirk thought to himself as he There has got to be a better way, Kirk thought as he rolled onto his back to work better with the PADD. Kirk rubbed the ocular implant as he always had done when he thinks, then the idea came to him. I can run this information wirelessly into my ocular implant and see it as a heads up display (HUD).
Kirk quickly connected himself to the PADD and uploaded all the information to his ocular implant. A transparent image appeared suddenly in his left eye. This might take some getting used to, he thought to himself as he tried to change the size of the image. After a few brief moments he finally was able to shrink the image down to a more useful size, thus still giving him his full vision.
Ever since the events that happened back in his training mission Kirk was becoming more open and come confident in using his Borg side to create an advantage instead of it being used as a moral reminder of a past he wished he could erase.
He began to study the information on the HUD as he crawled along the jefffries tube, it appeared as if several of these little aliens were following him, just that they were following his movements on the deck just above the top of the jeffries tube. Kirk came up to a junction and decided the best approach would be to take the ladder in the junction all the way to the emergency entrance on deck 1.
"Looks like I got a good climb ahead of me." Kirk said as he looked up the junction at the hatch leading to the next deck.

J'Leera kept a close eye on the guards that surrounded her and the others. She didn't recognize the weapons that they were pointing at them, but could see that they were deadly and by the expressions on the guards faces, she knew that they'd use them.
While the Admiral continued to talk to alien captain, J'Leera took a good look at the guards. They seemed remarkably athletic, which probably meant they'd all be dead before they could blink an eye. Not only that, but their eyes seemed to catch everything little movement coming from them. She knew that they'd be unable to pull a weapon out even if they had one. These guards were too good.
Suddenly the doors opened and a young woman walked in. She's not a guard, J'Leera noted looking her clothing over. She's a civilian.
The captain wanted her to leave, but Keztrek jumped up faster than they could react, which quite impressive considering the guards, and put the woman into a headlock.
There was no mistaking the expression on the captain's face. He was clearly enraged and upset by the Admiral's actions. J'Leera knew that this would probably be there only way out. She didn't know if Keztrek actually picked someone, but she didn't want to stay around to find out.
She waited to see what the Admiral was going to do.

Illian was livid, how dare this person, who was so clearly a lesser being, threaten his mate!
'If you harm her in anyway I will kill you." Illian projected his thoughts to KezTrek, who pointedly refused to reply, mentally or verbally.
Several tense minutes passed. "Lay down your weapons." Illian ordered his men aloud. He could risk no harm to Leoni or their child.
"Now, maybe we can act like civilised people and discuss this rationally." KezTrek said, releasing Leoni who immediately went to Illian's arms.
"I could still kill you." Illian said.
'But you won't' KezTrek thought, projecting to Illian.
Illian nodded, no he wouldn't. He realised now what it was about these people, about KezTrek in particular that fascinated him, she was... powerful, he sensed it in her, a power untapped, perhaps one even she did not know she possessed, but she was also... sincere. She had a strange belief, the same belief Illian sensed in the rest of her crew, that good would prevail, that all beings were capable of being compassionate and decent.
It was not something he was use to finding in younger species.
"Sit, we will continue our meal, Leoni, sit with me Nin Melon," Illian instructed, keeping Leoni seated on the far side of him away from KezTrek.
The rest of the meal proved much less fatal, Illian relaxed, content to ask questions about the Federation and the lives of his guests.
"Tell me, from what worlds do you hail?" he asked them.

There was so much hatred and tension in the room filled with the Starfleet officer's and the strange yet powerful people. No one was paying attention to TBrel's abilities, yet he thought that they didn't need to. T'Brel did feel the feelings of most of the people in the room. He just couldn't block all those powerful feelings. He quickly realized that Admiral Keztrek was serious in her threat to kill I'llian's wife and child. He would of never thought it possible, but his mind wasn't wrong, if Illian tried anything, she would kill the expecting mother and child.
"Sit, we will continue our meal, Leoni, sit with me Nin Melon," Illian instructed. T'Brel found it strange that Illian thought that the meal would continue and to T'Brel's surprise it did. Admiral Keztrek looked at her officers and nodded them to sit. T'Brel noticed that, the women named Leoni was put as far away from the Admiral as possible. ~He must really care for the her~ T'Brel thought.
~Yes he does~ Leoni said without moving a muscle. T'Brel quickly realized that it was the pregnant women talking and he responded accordingly.
~Why would your husband want to...~ T'Brel started to say, but was cut off by Illian's superior mental abilities. This entire exchanged went unnoticed by anyone else, which was best.
"Tell me, from what worlds do you hail?" he asked them. As customary the highest ranking officer's went first. This was something that T'Brel would enjoy, he didn't really know the histories of his fellow officers. He did know that Admiral Keztrek was half-vulcan, but that was pretty much it. After the Admiral finished speaking, Commander Laika and Commander Thirteen went ahead and responded to the question. It then of course fell onto T'Brel to explain his heritage. It usually was something that T'Brel relished talking about, but he felt that they just needed to know the basics.
"I come from the planets of Vulcan and Trill, as you can see I'm a Vulcan/Trill hybrid, and I'm also joined to the Peers symbiont who holds the memories of six different lifetimes," T'Brel said casually hoping that something else would be said or done to move the conversation away from them and how to get out of this predicament.

J'Leera was relieved when Ilian ordered the guard to lower there weapons. He still did not seem pleased, but instead seemed a little impressed, if she read his facial features correctly. As for now, Keztrek seemed quite confident that things would go fine.
"Sit, we will continue our meal, Leoni, sit with me Nin Melon," Ilian said.
J'Leera looked up. I recognize that...if it means what I think it does...but it's from... her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by Ilian's next question asking where they came from. She wondered what Keztrek would tell them after their most unpleasant welcome.

"Tell me, from what worlds do you hail?"
KezTrek considered his question for a moment, amusement tickling at the back of her mind. That was a question with a very confusing answer, but she supposed to be fair and expedient, she'd give the short quick answer.
"I was born on Vulcan, a planet some distance from her, to a Vulcan woman and a Human male, I've lived on many worlds though, and spent a good deal of my life on ships like this one, traveling between worlds." KezTrek explained briefly.
She quickly nodded to the others to respond, glad they kept their answers short too, she had no desire to further irritate these people, but nor was she particularly enamored with the idea of sharing information with them... 'although, we don't seem to have much choice' she thought to herself, still feeling Illian in her mind, though he tried harder now to hide his intrusions.
Even as they continued with the polite chit-chat KezTrek couldn't help worry about the crew on the Tigershark, she knew Illian hadn't withdrawn his men, but it was more than that, she could feel something more vivid than a general knowledge of her crew's plight, something more specific, someone more specific.
Dragging her thoughts away from the growing concern in her mind she tried to focus on what Illian was saying and doing, a curiosity drew her gaze to Leoni, who appeared to be very interested in the young pilot.
She knew Peers was telepathic, how strong his abilities were she was uncertain, very likely not that strong, he was only half Vulcan and to her knowledge, which she knew, without being egotistical, was extensive, he had never undergone any type of formal training and most certainly not to the levels she herself had. What drew Leoni's attentions to him?
"You will remain the night." Illian announced, obviously it was not up for debate.
KezTrek nodded, agreeing, on the condition they remained together, she still felt uneasy, but it was always better to make a friend than an enemy and KezTrek was willing to a point, to allow Illian his 'tests' though she was still wholly unsure what they were. Somehow, threatening her away team didn't seem like a very strong test and Illian had given in far to quickly, somehow she suspected the real challenges were taking place not here, but on the Tigershark.
When Illian had them shown to quarters large enough for the four, KezTrek was relieved for the respite, although, she was well aware that Illian still propped her thoughts, still her first thought now was for her crew, the ones both here and on the Tigershark. She quietly assessed her away team, taking in their physical appearance and the silent signals they gave as they examined their temporary accommodations.

Kirk was starting to grow impatient with the climb back to the bridge. Physically it was not a problem, but in his mind he thought of the alien intruders, his superior officers who were stuck on the bridge, the away team and all the events that have unfolded on the other ship. Opening the hatch to the next deck Kirk sat down for a second to clear his thoughts and start focusing on how to retake the ship.
"Computer, show me a display of the Starfleet officers and the unknown life forms currently on the bridge."
The HUD image in Kirk's left eye blinked, when it came back it showed yellow Starfleet symbols walking around the bridge with green dots following each Starfleet officer. Kirk did not like the odds in this, even if he got to the bridge we would most likely be the only officer with a weapon. Kirk was a good shot, but 7 on 1 is a touch number to over come even for the best crack shot in the galaxy.
I am just going to have to come up with a plan and hope one of the other officers can get a hold of me, Kirk thought, Maybe Commander Dowding might be able to get a hold of me. What happened to Max? I thought he was supposed to meet me in Astrometrics.
Kirk shrugged his shoulders knowing that wondering about certain things would not change the present. Grabbing onto the ladder Kirk continued to make his trek up to the bridge.

"All crew. This is Commander Dowding. The following instructions may sound odd, but I warn you they must be followed to the very letter. If they are not, the crew and ship will be placed in immediate danger." Luke paused and stared at Orlinis who sat on 'KezTrek's side' of the Ready Room desk. "Tactical, Security and Marine Officers are to report to Holodeck 1. Navigations, Engineers and Civillians are to report to Holodeck 2. Medical, Counsellors and Sciences are to report to Holodeck 3. All senior staff are to report to Holodeck 4. No exceptions. The failure to do this could cause in the destruction of this ship. If one person fails to comply then God save us all." Luke was blowing up the dramatics, hoping this would make Orlinis believe he had the strongest hand. In fact he hoped that someone would notice the tone in his voice, preferably a member of the senior staff. He hoped someone would realise that Luke was hinting for at least one person to disobey orders, and Luke knew it was more than likely to be Max.
"Inform them of the tasks." Orlinis stated.
Luke shook his head. "That is all for now." He added into the comm. "Get to your designated areas as quickly and effectively as possible. Dowding out."
The comm closed and Luke turned his attention to Orlinis.
"Informing the crew of these so called 'tasks' at this stage could prove a serious error. There would be a possibility of chaos and therefore the failure of your 'Holodeck plan'." Luke was stretching it now, but Orlinis appeared to be buying it.
"I can read your thoughts Commander."
Maybe not then...
"Well then you know that I will do anything to protect this ship and crew."
"Yes, Indeed I do." Orlinis paused and smiled wickedly. "All your crew show the same foolish chivalry, that will be your undoing."
Luke tried not to think of anything but it was virtually impossible... Don't give your position away.He thought to himself.
"Foolish, but quite charming I suppose." Orlinis said in obvious referance to Luke's mental battle. "That will be all for now Commander. You will hand over command of this vessel to me and then a team of my officers will escort you and your Bridge Officers to your various Holodeck destinations."
Luke rose to his feet and the doors to the Ready Room hissed open. Two more like Orlinis entered and motioned for Luke to leave the Room. Before Luke left he thought something extremely course and vulgar and smiled inwardly at Orlinis' reaction.
"You won't win this." He muttered as he and the remaining Bridge Officers were shepharded into the Turbolift.

"Tell me, from what worlds do you hail?" Illian asked them.
The others responded first, then J’Leera gave her answer. “I am from New Fabrina, a world that has only been occupied by my people for three generations. Our original homeworld was destroyed in a supernova, forcing our population to relocate,” she responded, hoping that this would satisfy him.
Illian nodded and turned back to Admiral Keztrek. J’Leera didn’t know what was going to happen, but she wasn’t the very least surprised when the captain refused to allow them to return to their ship. Instead they were escorted to quarters onboard the alien ship and locked inside.
J’Leera slowly walked around the room eyeing the light fixtures carefully. She went up to one of them and placed her hand on it. She surprised to find that she could not feel any heat being emitted from the object. It might be because of the material this light is made of… she thought, tapping on it.
She turned away from the light and went to go inspect the materials that the walls were made of. They too were made of a substance unknown to her and even more puzzling, they seemed to be alive, but she could not explain how.
Finally she gave up trying to figure the wall out and went to go sit down on one of the chairs. “Okay, Admiral, what’s the plan? An all-out military assault or negotations? Or do we just do what they want and hope for the best?”

What do I do? Where should I go?.... Rye sat in the corner of his once neat and tidy quarters. He sat there, huddled into a small ball with a phaser in his hand. He had, out of boredom, constructed one out of the various components in his quarters. It wasn't nice to look at, but it hadd the capability to vaporize if needed. Rye had been in there for 3 months, keeping to himself, and thinking. Now, he heard the call over the comm, and looked out of the large window on the exterior of the Akira class starship. He saw hovering probably 10 kilometres away, a large, sleek ship hanging in space. He knew that they were boarded, but what could he do? Where could he go. His room was sealed, and had a double force-field...Not too much of a challenge, but he had enjoyed his solitude for the last months, and no one disturbed him. He had occassional visits from Danny, J'Leera, and Luke, and two visits from Rear Admiral Keztrek.
Now, Rye needed to collect his thoughts. If he wanted to get out, he needed to replicate the command codes, and voice of one of his fellow officers. He remembered hearing one of Luke's codes ages ago... Luke 6716
Now, Rye got to his tool kit, which had been allowed for him to keep himself busy. He spent 30 minutes creating a voice modulator, and uploaded the voice pattern of Luke into the modulator.
"Computer. Disengage security fields and locks arouns q-quarters....07-36ÓÎ, authorization Dowding 6716" Commander Dowding said, or so thecomputer thought.
"Access Granted." The computer replied without hesitation. The force field made its hollow sound of deactivating, and the control panel next to the door lit up with vigour. "Computer, re-enable replicator usage, authorization Dowding 6716." Rye said, and the replicator was now capable of making light weponary again. Rye replicated himself a new phaser, and put it in his belt. He brandished his home-fashioned phaser, and left the room. As he stepped out the door, Rye looked out, and screamed.

Just as Kirk climbed up into the jeffries tube on deck one he heard Commander Dowding come over the com system.
"All crew. This is Commander Dowding. The following instructions may sound odd, but I warn you they must be followed to the very letter. If they are not, the crew and ship will be placed in immediate danger." Luke paused and stared at Orlinis who sat on 'KezTrek's side' of the Ready Room desk. You have got to be kidding me, Kirk thought to himself as he sat back again the wall of the tube. As Kirk sat alone in the empty tube he heard the sounds of heavy breathing underneath him. Pulling out the phaser he peered down the ladder he had just come up.
"Commander, I thought you had taken off the other way when the attack happened." Kirk said keeping his voice down.
"Nope, I was right behind you the entire time. Your are pretty fast at climbing I could not keep up." Max replied as he finished the last part of the climb.
Kirk helped the Commander up into the tube. Both men were sweating and a bit tired from the long climb up the entire ship. Kirk touched his ocular implant and turned off the HUD image viewing on his left eye. He closed his eyes and gave himself a chance to catch his breath.
"So what do we do now Commander? I do not suggest we just give ourselves up." Kirk asked still breathing a bit hard.

Luke entered Holodeck 4 to find it totally empty.
"Where are the rest of your senior staff Commander?" Orlinis asked threateningly.
Luke had no idea. "Technically the only remaining senior staff left on board are myself and Lieutenant Kirk. The others are on your ship."
"Well where is this Kirk then?"
Good question.Luke thought.
"I have no idea, but you may search the vessel If you wish. I of course only want to co-operate." Luke said sneeringly.
"This complicates matters slightly." Orlinis said. "We will move you to Holodeck 2, thinking about it, that idea may make things a whole lot more interesting."
Once again Luke was forced to move, and soon he was standing outside of Holodeck 2, waiting for Orlinis to unlock the door. When he entered he was greeted with a very unwelcome setting, it appeared to be a barren volcanic wasteland and it was stifflingly hot. The are was filled with Starfleet officers, all looking confused and extremely frazzled.
"Let the games begin." Orlinis started to say but was interupted by a comm call from the Bridge.
=^= Orlinis, Dowding's access code was used to lower one of the forcefields on one of the crew quarters =^=
"Impossible." Orlinis spat. "I have Dowding here. Send a team to investigate and let me know what results from this."
=^= Understood =^=
The comm closed and Orlinis turned his attention to the Holodeck again.
"Now where was I. Ah yes, Computer open a direct comm link to Holodecks 1 and 2."
=^= Comm link opened =^= The computer chimed.
"Crew of the Tiger Shark. I hope you are all healthy and in good condition because you are all just about to enter into a fitness contest for your lives."

Max stood there thinking for a bit, breathing quite hard. He was unfit, Thirteen would not be impressed.
"I don't think Luke was joking when he said that we shouldn't stay hidden away. He practically ordered us all to the Holodecks but he knows that both you and I were on our way to Astrometrics and he knows that I have issues when it comes to obeying orders." Max paused to think a little more. "I think we should continue on our way to the Bridge and check out the situation there first and then we can make our decision."
<TAG Kirk>
Max nodded and was about to reply when Kirk suddenly raised his hand.
"What is it?" Max asked.
"Someone has just used Commander Dowding's access code to lower a forcefield on one of the crew quarters. I can't give you an exact location but they're on Deck 8."
"Odd..." Max said. "Why would there be a forcefield on crew quarters and what is Luke doing on Deck 8, Holodeck 4 is on Deck 12."
<TAG Kirk>
"Agreed, let's go check this out."

Rye screamed and curled to the floor. There, was a large lame crawling along the corridors, and heading straight toward him. Rye shook his head, and looked again. All he saw was nothing but the Tiger Shark's sleek metal interior. Rye got up, and started running stealthily down the corridor. Phaser at the ready, he ran into the turbolift, and called for sickbay. Rye immediately jumped up, and removed the upper panel on the turbolift, exposing the rapidly moving turboshaft. He called a stop, and the shaft whirled to a stop. He set the turbolift to resume in 20 seconds, and he pulled himself into the turboshaft, and stepped on to the ladder in the shaft. Rye crawled down the ship, and entered the door on deck 12. Rye slowly and quietly made his way to the auxiliary control center. At the door, Rye held his phaser in front of himself, and hit the control panel, opening the door.
An unknown alien was sitting at one of the consoles, and looked up at the sound of the door. Rye saw the alien, and pressed the fire button on the phaser. An orange burst of energy erupted from the tip of the odd looking weapon that the commander held in his hand. The alien fell back, and hit the wall. Rye was shocked at the action he had just done. He looked at the alien, scared of the slumped figure in the side of the room, and cried out once again. The unstable commander took the controls of the Tiger Shark, and scanned the ship. There were 24 aliens on the Akira-class vessel. He also noted that 4 fewer Starfleet officers were there than should have been. Did that mean that they were dead, or off of the ship? The crew were concentrated in the 4 holodecks, and one life sign was located in the Jeffries tube on Deck 3.
”Well, I’ve got one person on my side, anyways.”
Rye pulled up the crew roster, and noted that several new officers were on board the vessel. Lieutenant Kirk, the life form in the Jeffries tube was one of them. Rye opened a channel to the section of Jeffries tube, and called.
(=/\=) “Commander F-Fitzpatrick to Lieutenant Kirk, I’m in the Aux control room. Please respond.”

"Agreed." Kirk replied.
Max nodded and was about to reply when Kirk suddenly stopped.
"I wish I could tell you sir. I suggest we go and investigate." Kirk suggested.
"Agreed, let's go check this out."
Kirk and Commander Max began to make their way across the jeffries tube to another junction before they could hook up with the second ladder system to take them directly to the location of the force field. After a few moments the silence in the jeffries tube was broken by a randon com channel.
“Commander F-Fitzpatrick to Lieutenant Kirk, I’m in the Aux control room. Please respond.”
"Kirk here." Kirk said a bit confused.
While Kirk waited for the response for he turned around to face Commander Max, 'Whos is this?' Kirk mouthed to Commander Max.

“Okay, Admiral, what’s the plan? An all-out military assault or negotiations? Or do we just do what they want and hope for the best?”
KezTrek turned her attention to J'Leera. "As long as things go on as they are, we'll play along with their games," she replied.
Peers spoke up. "Admiral, what about the crew on the Tigershark, Illian said his people were there and..."
"I'm aware of that Lieutenant, but I trust Commander Dowding to handle things." KezTrek opened her mind a little, reaching out towards the Tigershark.
She wasn't trying to get a clear lock on anyone just get a general idea of the crews feelings. She could sense some fear, but so far everyone seemed to be calm enough and there was no imminent danger seemed present.
"We'll get some rest for now, Thirteen are you going to be okay?" referring to his need to regenerate.

It was not the time for T'Brel to talk, he just took everything in. Since the weird conversation with Leoni and Illian T'Brel stopped putting his full attention into the conversation. He had photographic memory and if it came to them trying to escape this knowledge would be helpful. The meal ended strangely, Illian just stood and everyone else did as well.
T'Brel didn't really want to spend the night here, but knew that they were in no position to argue the point. So once again he kept his mind locked to all emotions and just followed the officers out to there guest room. Once they were inside there room, T'Brel finally let his thoughts come out. He was worried about his friend Jon on the Tigershark, hopefully he was alright.
“Okay, Admiral, what’s the plan? An all-out military assault or negotiations? Or do we just do what they want and hope for the best?”
"As long as things go on as they are, we'll play along with their games," she replied.
"Admiral, what about the crew on the Tigershark, Illian said his people were there and..."
"I'm aware of that Lieutenant, but I trust Commander Dowding to handle things." KezTrek said. T'Brel automatically felt Admiral KezTrek drop her mental shields. It surprised him that she was such a powerful telepath, it made him dizzy. T'Brel could tell that the Admiral was trying to see how the crew was doing, something that T'Brel knew he could not do, well not yet.
"We'll get some rest for now; Thirteen are you going to be okay?" After hearing his response, T'Brel could not stop but thinking about his new crew. Something that most Vulcans thought was unnecessary, attachment is an emotion, they would tell him. We all have emotions, we just suppress them T'Brel would fire back, but it didn't matter he would never get through them.
So once again T'Brel tried to contact the Tigershark, well he tried to contact Jon. A Vulcan had an easier time connecting with people that they had a relationship with, and T'Brel thought Jon a friend. Maybe that was enough. Unfortunately it turned out that it wasn't.
~You should try to rest Lt.~It shocked T'Brel to hear the Admiral in his head.

J'Leera didn't like the idea of Illian's people being on her ship, but what could she do about it? They were prisoners of these people and although she doubted that they would kill them, she realized that she and the others were completely at the mercy of these people.
She began to think about Illian's threat to have Keztrek kill one of them. I wonder who she would have picked, if she had picked anyone at all? She was glad that it had not come down to that, but she would rather have died herself than see one of her ship mates killed in her place. She could never live with that.
Glancing around, she looked at everyone in the room. They seemed alright, although a little anxious. She, too, was also worried, but she believed that somehow everything would end up okay.
The alien's language puzzled her. It seemed very familar, but she was still unable to place it. I know that I've heard it before...think, think! She closed her eyes and focused on the words that Illian had said. Nin melon...nin melon... Her eyes suddenly popped open. It was in a book and unless this is a complete coincidence, I know what he was saying!
She was about to tell Keztrek, but then hesitated. What if she was wrong? It was a rather odd idea and she didn't want to seem crazy. She stood up anyway and went to speak to her.
"Admiral, may I speak to you privately? I think I recognize the language that Illian was speaking."

~How do you do it Admiral?~
~Do what, Lt.~
~Command a starship and not go crazy with worry~
~You start out crazy~ KezTrek replied, a smile gracing her face.
T'Brel it seemed wasn't sure what to make of that comment.
~Rest~ KezTrek told him, with drawing herself from his mind. She was tired, but her mind still mulled over what Illian had said, searching for something useful.
It was J'Leera who interrupted her thoughts. "Admiral, may I speak to you privately? I think I recognize the language that Illian was speaking."
"Of course you do, but I don't think we'll make a point of it just yet. Let us see if Illian wishes to share any pertinent information on his own first." KezTrek said. She was surprised it was J'Leera who had so easily recognised the language, but then she shouldn't have been she supposed.
"Get some rest J'Leera." KezTrek said, watching the others take her advice before going to the bed she herself had been provided with.
KezTrek opened her mind, creating inside of it a safe haven, a tranquil wood on the edge of a lake, it was a place of calm. Slowly, keeping part of her mind focused on the wood, she let herself reach out towards the Tigershark, to where she would be able to see her people.
She knew Luke was her easiest option, but while she was here, he was needed there and her telepathic... ride along... in his mind could distract him in ways she wasn't prepared to allow for the moment, instead she went for the one person on the ship who would be use to her telepathic piggybacking and let herself into Daniel's mind.
Looking through his eyes was easy; she could feel his awareness of her presence, his quiet reassurance that everyone was okay. She didn't recognise the landscape he was looking at, 'the holodeck' she decided, before removing herself and pulling back to the wood, immersing herself there, until the ship rocked angrily around her.
"We're under attack!" Thirteen announced, a glance outside the window confirmed three Romulan war birds firing on the ship.
Two of Illian's security officers came in pulling them out, "Come with us!"
KezTrek wasn't about to argue following them hurriedly to what she assumed was the ships command centre.
"Who are they?" Illian asked.
"Romulan's. Let me talk to them, I can get them to stand down." KezTrek said.
"I could destroy them with a single blast of weapons fire." Illian said arrogantly.
"I'm sure you could, but how about we play nice and let me talk to them." KezTrek argued.
"Open a channel." Illian ordered.
"This is Rear Admiral KezTrek of the U.S.S Tigershark, we are engaged in peaceful talks with the crew of this ship, cease fire," KezTrek said waiting, hoping for a response. Nothing, the Romulan's continued to fire.
"We're losing shielding around... explosions on decks five thru seven." One of Illian's people said.
"Leoni..." Illian murmured, "Return fire! Destroy them!" he shouted, heading for the lift. KezTrek ignored the guards, as she and her team followed Illian.
There were bulk heads torn apart. How had the Romulan's done so much damage to such an advanced ship? KezTrek thought, before thought became a luxury, there were people coughing in the smoke, bleeding and injured.
"J'Leera help these people, Thirteen stay with her!" KezTrek ordered, as she and T'Brel continued to make their way through the damaged sections.
"Leoni!" Illian shouted, she was there, a few hundred metres ahead. The ship shook again and KezTrek was forced to steady herself on the bulkhead as Illian lost his balance, T'Brel was just a few steps ahead of them when another shudder loosened a bar across the ceiling over Leoni.
~T'Brel!~ KezTrek directed her thoughts at him, watching as he reacted to the immediate danger, pushing Leoni from the path of the falling beam, taking the full brunt of it himself.
"End." Illian said, forcing KezTrek's attention towards him as the ship vanished and a large room with similar walls to the rest of the ship, but for a zigzag of grey lines appeared around them. J'Leera and Thirteen were on the far side and T'Brel still lay on the ground, but it was now clear he was uninjured.
KezTrek growled inwardly. ~That was not amusing~ she hissed mentally at Illian who it seemed found the whole thing truly entertaining.

~You start out crazy~ KezTrek replied, a smile gracing her face.
T'Brel it seemed wasn't sure what to make of that comment.
~Rest~ KezTrek told him. T'Brel was still not fully comforted by the Admiral's answer, but it would have to do for now. He had been ordered to rest, but that was going to be an order that he would have to disobey. He just couldn't sleep.
The next conversation that he heard was between Admiral Keztrek and Commander Laika. T'Brel was surprised to hear that both the Admiral and the Commander knew the language that Illian was speaking. T'Brel prided himself in knowing many languages, but this was one that he did not know.
"We're under attack!" Thirteen announced, T'Brel quickly shot up from the small bed that he was lying on. He quickly went to the nearest window and saw three Romulan Warbirds firing on the ship. T'Brel found it strange that there were Romulans out here, but thinking about it Romulans were everywhere.
T'Brel saw that Admiral Keztrek followed two of the guards out to wards what T'Brel thought must be the command center. T'Brel and the other two officer quickly followed the Admiral and waited for the Romulans to respond.
The Romulans didn't head the Admiral's advice and kept on firing. The entire ship was shaking violently which soon made sparks fly and bulkheads fall. This does not make sense T'Brel thought to himself. The Tigershark should be firing on the ships even with Illian's people on board.
"Leoni!" Illian shouted, she was there, a few hundred meters ahead.
T'Brel expected for him to feel immense pain or at worst loose conscience but it did not happen. In fact he felt nothing, he was just trapped by the bulkhead.
"End." Illian said. The bulkhead that was on top of T'Brel disappeared and he quickly got back up.
~How dare you~ T'Brel said trembling with anger. He had been ready to give up his life if necessary for his wife and child. ~You are a coward Illian, a worthless coward~ These feelings permeated through out the ship. T'Brel didn't even know that he was projecting his emotions so far and powerfully. Admiral Keztrek was not ready for the powerful push of telepathy put on her mind that she staggered back a little. Illian's face contorted with anger, arrogance, and slight remorse; very slight remorse. T'Brel knew that he was emitting this feeling to wards Eloni because even she wherever she was on this ship felt T'Brel's emotion's.
Admiral KezTrek recovered first and put her hand atop T'Brel's shoulder. She was helping him relax.
~Lt. calm down, your emotions are to powerful right now. Keep to your training and suppress these emotions~ Admiral KezTrek said appealing to his Vulcan half.
~He was toying with us Admiral this egotistical arrogant man was playing with us and....~ T'Brel said starting to calm down. It was working, T'Brel didn't know how, but Admiral KezTrek was soothing T'Brel's emotion.
~Thank you Admiral~ T'Brel said fully calm and back to his Vulcan demeanor. The next moment T'Brel realized Illian's attention was back on him and the Admiral.

Luke was beyond confused. This creature was obviously beyond being an ego-maniac and blatantly had issues concerning power. "Crew of the Tiger Shark. I hope you are all healthy and in good condition because you are all just about to enter into a fitness contest for your lives." Talk about melodrama.
The simulation was interesting. It was almost unbearably hot but the floor itself was refreshingly cool. This was why every Starfleet officer had taken a seat, while the "Elf-like" officers stood and guarded. They had been waiting like this since Orlinis' little moment of drama. He had left soon after his speach and Luke assumed it was to find out the problem with his access code... Who could have used it? He made a mental note to change it as soon as this was all over, which he felt confident would be soon. Surely KezTrek wouldn't stand for this?
Luke looked around. He recognised nearly everyone in the room and that's where it hit him.
"Max." He said quite loudly, but fortunately the guards ignored him. He wasn't here, and he was a part of the Navigations department. Could he have used Luke's code?
The Holodeck doors hissed open and Luke stood up. It was Orlinis and he had two Starfleet officers... no wait three officers with him.
Suddenly the hope Luke had previously felt drained away. Orlinis approached him and smirked.
"Let the games begin."

'Who is this?'Kirk mouthed to Max.
Max was actually quite stunned to hear Rye's voice. He had had very little contact with the Tiger Shark's old CEO but was well aware, as was the rest of the crew, that he was under lock and forcefield in his quarters. His mind traumatized by what had happened in the previous mission, and also what rumour had as KezTrek invading his mind...
Max spoke up. "Commander Fitzpatrick, this is Lieutenant Commander Bower." He paused and then decided to add "Luke's friend." Just in case he was unstable...
<TAG Rye>
"How is it that you are out of confinement Commander?" Max asked carefully.
<TAG Rye>
Max pulled a face. Had he killed some of the boarders? Luke had explicitly stated that no harm was to be done to them.
"Very well Commander, we will meet you in Auxillary Command. Do not move from your present location, and do not attack any more of the boarders. Bower out." Max realised that Fitzpatrick was his superior but one false move and he didn't like to think of the consequences that Luke had made sound so bad.
"We should get moving." Max said to Kirk.

"We should get moving." Max said to Kirk.
"Agreed." Kirk said starting to lead the way.
The two men crawled for some time before Kirk found a single long maintenance console. He stopped at the console and punched in a few codes and coordinates.
"What are you doing?" Commander Bower asked.
"Locking onto us for a site to site transport," Kirk said as he continued the work, "This is going to take a long time if we just crawl."
Kirk found Commander Fitzpatrick on sensors, and locked the transport to his location. With in seconds Commander Bower and Kirk had beamed to Fitzpatrick's location.
Kirk and Bower looked up to see a look of shock on Fitzpatrick's face. Commander Bower stood up quickly to reassure the sketchy Commander. Kirk watched as the two Commanders interacted with each other and he also noticed Commander Fitzpatrick was a bit frightened of Kirk due to his obvious Borg implants.
"I am Lieutenant Kirk," He said extending his hand to shake, "We need to get moving before those aliens get here."
Just as Kirk finished his sentence the doors slide open and several armed elf creatures entered the room with weapons aimed at the three officers. Commander Bower was the first to drop is phaser, followed by Kirk and a reluctant Fitzpatrick.
Kirk was surprised at how quiet the aliens were. As they walked to the holodecks not one word was said to any of the officers. Kirk was walking in the rear of the group due to his rank and he watched Fitzpatrick strike the side of his head as if he was trying to shake out water from his ear.
Might they be telepathic, Kirk thought. Since returning from the collective Kirk had seen many therapists about this time with the Borg, most of them Betazoids. Each session and each new Betazoid some became upset and frustrated, while some were fascinated by the mental block the Borg place on all their attack drones, Kirk was no different.
Stepping into holodeck 2 Kirk looked around and saw hundreds of crew members sitting down on the ground while fire and magma exploded around the entire room. Bower and Kirk quickly spotted Commander Dowding, he was the only one standing at this point.
As the three officers approached Commander Dowding they heard the small alien say, "Let the games begin."
They do speak, Kirk thought stepping to the side of his first officer, allowing Commander Bower to stand at attention in front of Commander Dowding.
