By the time Magellan had reached his quarters and coaxed Dinas out he had recieved a rather hurried call from Ezdreiana that Saarok as expected had extricated himself from his captivity.
=^= Thankyou=^= Magellan acknowledged. Giving Dinas a quick stroke he allowed the small firelizard return to his basket. he looked at the time and realised that he had been on duty far too long. Slipping of his shoes he sank into a nearby chair. He checked his messages but didnt feel in the mood to reply to either his parents or Laurana.
He could feel the last shot of Isoboramine beginning to wear off, but he had to be careful, he couldnt just keep topping himself up. As he sat and read he could feel the myriad voices returning to haunt him.
He put down the book and picked up a PaDD and quickly searched the Trill Database. The effects he thought he was experiencing were those associated with the Zhian Tara- a ritual which brought the personalitys of their previous hosts to the fore, but usually in seperate donor bodies. Not all in one and not all the time.
He knew he should visit Dr Mercy but neither Loran nor Toya liked Doctors. Toya he could understand, but Loran he had yet to find a reason for her aversion. Either way the distrust innate in both of them was enough to keep him away from sickbay.
Now that Saarok had been found Magellan could feel the pressure begin to ease a little. All that was left was the Mayoral Election, but with Hishar out of the running the verdict was a foreblown conclusion.

"Have we been chased out of our offices so that you had to set up office here in the corridor?", Saarok asked them as he approached.
Both diplomats whirled around at the sound of Saarok's voice, even more startled at seeing him in person as they thought they were being deceived. "Did you work your magic and charm again Saarok?" the Romulan diplomat querried as his smile brightened. Even Nut chirped happily at seeing the Vulcan diplomat approach. "It is good to see you again, much has happened since your disappearance."
"Then I would like you to brief me on what has happened since my unfortunate and unwilling, partly, disappearance.", Saarok said.
"Well," the Romulan started, exchanging a brief glance with the Trill diplomat, "for starters you are no longer suspect in whatever JAG was investigating. Our offices have been turned inside out, and our immunity revoked, as we were discussing before your unfortunate disappearance. Instead, they now try to blame everything on Ji'Zhan."
While they were briefing Saarok, Sev suddenly came winging in, screeching in agitation. Tedak cocked his head in his usual way as he listened to his firelizards, or rather: received their mental images as they were projected to him. He paled slightly at getting the news, though he wasn't certain how to act on it. "There has been an incident in sickbay," he spoke up, after a long silence, "one of your abductors has been attacked, as well as the attending civillian healer." He sighed in misery. "The attacked healer is T'Val. I'm not certain what to do now. I want to go to her, but it is no longer my place to be at her side, except as friend. She's in good hands as it is. Sev informed me that Stuart Mercy and Ji'Zhan are attending to her."
With that out in the open, he looked more relieved than ever. "I will visit her later," he resolved, "let's go see what we can do about reacquisitioning our offices shall we?"

T'Val recoiled from Ji'Zhan as his mind touched hers, making her relive the horrors of watching what happened in the black clad patient's mind. She screamed in terror, as she was forced to watch. However Ji'Zhan's presence soon became an anchor to hold on to, she trusted him and what she'd done had been for him. She sensed his appreciation of the fact, but also his disapproval.
She feared waking up, afraid of people's judgement of her actions, especially Magellan's. Ji'Zhan assured her that Magellan would not berate her, and that Mercy would care for her.
Slowly, T'Val regained her consciousness and she became aware of her surroundings. Many faces were looking down on her as her eyes darted around in apprehension. A frantic green creature landed on her chest, nuzzling her cheek as she crooned softly. The Vulcan soon recognized the creature as her own pet, and received images of concern from the little creature.
She recognized Ji'Zhan's kind face, his eyes also filled with concern. Then there was a face she couldn't immediately place, but the last face she was most relieved to find. "Stuart?" she managed, her voice barely a whisper, but filled with fear, "what happened?"
In hushed voice, Stuart Mercy explained to her what had happened and it didn't quiet her nagging conscience. "He is innocent," she finally whispered, struggling to sit up. She felt a supporting hand against her back as she unsteadily sat up. T'Val leaned against Mercy, finally unable to keep back her tears. "It was horrible," she continued, "and I am scared now. What will happen to me?"
It was obvious the Vulcan healer was terrified of something, but as she couldn't put into words what terrified her, the people around her could only guess and have a stab in the darkness. She continued to sob quietly as Mercy tried to comfort her.

"The offices were never impounded as I recall", Saarok said, "The warrant was simply to collect any evidence related to the incidents JAG is investigating. Seeing they did their search and found nothing... the offices are once again private" ,Saarok said
"But before I do, accompany you, I shall need to... select a new attire", Saarok said indicating at the torn of sleeves of his robe, "An accident took place during my absence and my sleeves were, shall we say... disintegrated.", Saarok said
"The two of you are of course welcome to accompany me to my office where i keep a spare robe... and to have a discussion with my security chief about the miserable state of my private security which came out to light in the recent events.", Saarok said

Stuart cradled T'Val in his arms while she continued to sob. Everyone else had already filed out of the area. They were alone for now. "There, there. Be calm, it'll be alright."
Stuart was worried for T'Val. Her emotional state appeared to be getting worse as time went on. ~Maybe the experiences of her emotions are just too much for her to handle...as a Vulcan?~ he thought to himself.
"T'Val, I want to give you a sedative so that you can get some rest. The refugees are arriving shortly. I'll check back with you after I have attended to them and gotten them situated."

Tedak
Now the Romulan was certain his Vulcan friend had gone nuts. "Private?" he scoffed, "security chased us out of our own offices, turning the place upside down. I wouldn't be surprised if our offices never were, nor ever will be private. Not with some secret service bugging the place. I know my office never was private to begin with, not with security always keeping an eye on Romulans, nor with the Tal Shiar breathing down my neck."
He knew Saarok understood what he was referring to, and that he was most unhappy with that happening to begin with. "We should find Magellan or Loskene, and demand an explanation. Or at least demand one from that JAG person....what was his name? Savati?"
He gazed at the Trill diplomat, hoping she'd back him up. "At any rate I am going to pick up my son from the daycare centre and take him to visit his mother in sickbay. I'm sure she'll appreciate that and won't mind me taking him for a few days so that she can recover from whatever is ailing her." It showed he was worried, as he knew his ex-wife was rarely just ill. If she was in for treatment, it had to be serious and inflicted.
T'Val
T'Val didn't want to be sedated, but she allowed herself to be eased back onto the biobed. She knew Stuart would indeed check in later, knowing also that he was very worried about her. "The refugees are more important," she managed between dissipating sobs. "Just a rest then," she added, referring to the sedation, "I do not wish to be...knocked out...as humans put it. Just something to help me calm down. I will attempt to meditate and perhaps sleep."
She snagged his arm before he could walk away to fetch the hypospray. "Who will pick up D'Beren? I was supposed to do that today."
"I am sure Tedak will attend to that," Mercy replied as he snapped a vial into the hypospray and pressed it against her throat. "Yade probably informed his fair of what happened, and the fact that he didn't come storming in here does him credit."
T'Val felt herself relax as the sedative kicked in and nodded. "He is a most honourable man," she whispered, then managed a weak smile. "Just like my mate," she added as she closed her eyes.

After Tedak expressed his desire to pay a visit to T'Val with D'Breen, Saarok decided he would attend to his office and to see what occurred with his incompetent security guards, and of course to change into a new robe as his current one lacked sleeves.
"Do not do anything I would not do", Saarok said to Tedak, "I will... meet you in sickbay after I have attended to my private matters", Saarok said as he parted ways from Tedak and Ezdreiana
After he left them, Saarok preceded towards the nearest personnel transporter in order to reach his office in the shortest amount of time. After a short ride on the transport he was at the door of the embassy which slid open after registering his access codes. When he entered he could see that the embassy employees and officials were back at their posts sorting out the mess that was left after the JAG and FCIS investigators departed. Moments after he entered the embassy he was joined by his chief of security Charles Jackson. He was the brother of his last chief of Security who had to depart to take over his new assignment.
"Sir, I am sorry about what has happened, I have personally ran the names of all the guards in your security force to weed out any traitors and the man who was... a traitor has been taken care of...", Jackson started
"Do not be concerned, had they wanted to get to me they would and nothing could stop them not even the best guards.", Saarok said
"If I was there to protect you, this would not have happened. It would have been just like in the old days, but nowadays you can not trust anyone any longer. That is why I have finally finished the training of 2 people, a Vulcan and a Klingon, they were recruited right out of the academy and I have been working with them for a year in order to prepare them to protect you.", Jackson said
"It is... pleasurable to observe that you have not lost your touch", Saarok said
"You know me, sir. I am still "The Enforcer".", Jackson said as he smiled, "Now meet your new security guards", he added as a Klingon and a Vulcan stepped forward armed with phaser riffles fully charged, equipped with personal shields, type 2 phasers and flash grenades attached to their waists
"Admirable work, Chucky", Saarok said
Jackson smiled as he left Saarok with his two new guards. After he changed in his private office into a new robe, Saarok picked up his two guards who were waiting in front of the door and proceeded towards sickbay, where he was to meet with Ambassador Tedak.

Jason had resolved much of the issues which could have exposed Section 31 operations in this sector. But there was still work to be done. He had to take care of the rest of these men. The next phase was to be put in motion now. Jason was once again back in his quarters preparing the next present for the S31 operatives lurking around the base. An explosive device it was... but not your home made one. It contained a deadly mutagen that only affected specific DNA patterns, and it would only kill those S31 operatives for whose DNA-s it has been programmed.
After the device was prepared it was put into an innocent looking container that required a pass code to access. After he was done, he transmitted a message to the S31 faction leader to meet him in the restaurant, the same one where he sent Ji'zhan earlier. Only the fool allowed himself to be captured. What an idiot, Jason thought as he transmitted the message and departed his quarters with the package.
--On the Entertainment deck--
Jason strolled into the restaurant and playing innocent went through the false mirror. After he was through he was met with 5 raised phasers.
"Settle down, gentlemen", he said
One man stepped forward and motioned for the men to lower their weapons.
"You must excuse our paranoia, it would seem some idiot leaked information for someone outside the group about the location of our hideout.", the man said
"Hideout? Both of us know you have a secret lair in one of the caves on Qualinost", Jason said
"Yes, well. Get to the point, what do you want.", the man asked
"I have a package from the Capo.", he said, "For your eyes only.", he said handing the man the box he was carrying
"How sweet", the man said, "What is inside?", he asked
"No idea, top secret I don't even have the code to open it. It will be transmitted to you personally by the Capo 1 hour after you enter your personal code, which you are supposed to do in front of me."; Jason said
"Fine"; the man said as he entered his code into the console on the box
"Adieu, gentlemen", Jason said as he left the room
Once he was in front of it, he pulled out a cigar out of his pocket and put it into his mouth. It was only a replicated version of a cigar and did not cause any health problems. While he was looking for the matches he could heard and see a blast and a flash of light coming from the mirror from which he just left. Only it was no longer a mirror it was now a simple doorway without a door. As people started running towards the uncovered opening, he smiled and dropped the cigar as he tapped his com. badge while moving away from the location.
=/\=Lily, transmit the prerecorded message to Elder Ji'zhan, authorization code red-red-blue-green=/\=
=/\=Code accepted, message transmitted.=/\=
Jason smiled once again as he made way through the crowd towards the nearest restaurant where he could get something to eat. After all that work he was getting hungry.
--Meanwhile in sickbay--
As Felix and Ji'zhan were preparing to depart from sickbay, the man who arrived next caused a surprise in both of them. It was Ambassador Saarok with two heavily armed guards who pointed weapons at Felix and Ji'zhan. Right at that time, Ji'zhan's comm. badge went of with a distorted male voice.
=/\=Mr. Ji'zhan, the place where more than 31 one men were last time, has now much more people. I suggest you visit the location... It might provided much more informative this time.=/\=
And it went silent. Felix wasn't sure what shocked him more, Ambassador Saarok reappearing or the odd message that came from Ji’zhan’s comm. badge.
"Elder", Saarok said, "Captain", he said as he motioned for the guards to lower their weapons, "It would be logical for you to explain the nature of the message we just heard", Saarok said to Ji’zhan

Felix and Ji’Zhan were just leaving when they both were surprised by Ambassador Saarok and two armed guards. Ji’Zhan was glad to see the Ambassador safe; however the reasoning behind the weapons seemed unfounded. Before anyone could say anything Ji’Zhan’s comm. Badge swaked the voice obviously ran through a distortion filter.
=^=Mr. Ji'zhan, the place where more than 31 one men were last time, has now much more people. I suggest you visit the location... It might provide much more informative this time. =^=
Ji’Zhan knew who it was from; he just didn’t know a name or a face. Ji’Zhan was about to speak when Saarok’s voice was heard.
"Elder", Saarok said, "Captain", he said as he motioned for the guards to lower their weapons, "It would be logical for you to explain the nature of the message we just heard", Saarok said to Ji’zhan
“Ambassador, I think this place is where you were being kept during your abduction. If we all precede to The Dustcloud Restaurant, I think our mystery man has prepared yet another twist in this investigation.” Ji’Zhan didn’t know what Saarok knew, nor did he care. The despicable show of force was selfish and badly chosen; just as the ancient text read about their long gone brethren.
Walking to the Restaurant, entourage in tow, Ji’Zhan was explaining his experiences to Saarok during the past several days. When they arrived, they found people still buzzing around the entrance of the establishment and Starfleet Security as thick as a swarm. Making their way through the crowd, with the help of Felix’s clearance, they came to an opening in the wall where the holo-mirror once hid. The image was awful, what seemed to be parts of several people were on the floor, wall and hanging from the piping. A Starfleet investigator walked up to Felix and said, “Sir, we believe that there were five people; we think males but we are waiting for the report from Pathology. There isn’t much left from the device, however preliminary evidence suggests that the device was coded somehow.”
<Felix>
Ji’Zhan walked around the statue, that was now leaning over on the wall, and into the hidden passage way. Ji’Zhan called to Felix, “Captain Felix,” pointing to the now broken holo-emiter, “this is what was projecting the blind over the opening.” The device didn’t look like the normal emitters found on a Starfleet base, however its components were clearly Starfleet technology. Attached by a small wire to the emitter was a single piece of torn paper. On the top left hand corner read ‘Earth Starfleet Charter’ and just below that was a heading that read, ‘Article 14, Section 31’. Ji’Zhan handed it to Felix and was shocked by the look that came over the Captain … …

"Coded you say?", Felix asked after the man gave him a preliminary report
"Yes sir, we are not sure how, where or why yet, but we will find out. The damage was limited within the room, so whoever set this device of, he, she or they knew what they were doing.", the man said
"What is that pad over there", Felix asked indicating to a pad that appeared to be undamaged
"I don't know", the man said as he picked it up, "It contains an inventory of evidence, it appears like a FCIS evidence indexing list, and there is a line bellow it with text saying done", the man said
"Interesting", Felix said as Ji'zhan called him over to indicate a note hanging on one of the emitters
While Felix was still staring at the note, Saarok came through with his two guards and observed the note.
"It is clear what is happening here, is it not Captain", Saarok said, "You have a man who is suffering from some form of a mental illness and is living in a fantasy that he is or has something to do with Section 31, which if I may say so was never proven to even exist.", Saarok said, "I would advise that we contact Admiral Lin and inform him, and perhaps even Dr. Mercy, that you have a delusional individual killing people on this station.", Saarok offered
"Yes, yes... I think you are correct Ambassador, we have... a... madman on our hands.", Felix said with a voice which as if was not his at all

It didnt take Magellan long for him to storm his way down to The Dustcloud. He had Sharon Vanetti in tow, equally ired. Magellan forced his way through the small crowd growing outside the restaurant and entered. Felix and Ji'Zhan stood to one side whilst forensics specialists continued to comb the room.
"Explanation please Genltleman" he ordered abruptly. Felix explained what little they knew. Magellan stopped to ponder the facts a moment.
"It would seem to me that insane of not this unknown person has an agenda. He seems intent on killing very specific people. He is also very good at alluding detection, that places him very firmly into the category of a professional."
"I would tend to agree" Felix replied, "But Section 31, thats all very convienent, a non-existent organisation to hide behind."
Magellan paused a moment, "I think we need to speak with Ambassador Saarok." "Saarok?" Ji'Zhan queried, "Yes. He has some... dubious contacts. Something Tedak once told me also - he has a wife, a rogue Starfleet Intell agent. Perhaps she can help"
"A wife! I never knew he was married" Ji'Zhan exclaimed
"Nor did he until last year" Magellan replied
Felix stared at Magellan, "Its a long story, but Saarok had some long term memory problems. But at the moment hes our best lead."
"Sounds like a plan then" Felix noted "You and Ji'zahn go talk to him" Magellan added, "Vanetti and I will try and find out what we can from Lily."

"Admiral", Saarok said stepping up behind the Trill accompanied by his two guards who had their phaser riffles at ready, "There is no need to call me or to go and talk to me as I am already here", Saarok said, "And indeed it was I who suggested to the good Captain that this individual is a man suffering from a serious mental disease which is causing delusions for him and which then make him think he is a member of Section 31 or perhaps that the people he is killing are members of said organization. But Admiral, both of us know that there is no such thing as Section 31", Saarok said, "It is all simply a figment of someone's imagination", he said

"Is it?" Tedak querried, as he too stepped forward. "Was V'Shal a figment of our imagination? The time it took to contact Salek, because he was 'unavailable'?" Personally, he believed Section31 existed, but how was he going to prove it?
"I believe Admiral Lin has a point, perhaps your wife can help us. Several people have been killed, the lives of everyone," he glanced sharply at Lin, "especially key people, are at stake. And I don't believe there is anything this station's security force can do about it without the proper intelligence."
Now the Romulan indicated the message that had been received. "Someone is trying to implicate Ji'Zhan, has tried to frame Saarok...who knows what this person will resort to next. We are all in danger here, from the highest placed officer, to the most minute creature present on this station." He paused, this time taking a moment to make eye-contact with everyone. "Personally, I fear for my family, and for my friends. I would be lying if I said I didn't fear for myself, but it is the least of my concern. I suggest we try to do everything we can to solve this, go at every lenth if it isn't already done."

"My wife, as you call her, was an employee of Starfleet Intelligence, and has used this supposed Section 31 as her cover. She is not nor ever was anything more than that.", Saarok said in a calm voice
"As for my son... he is a medical doctor and when he is unavailable it is because he is in the middle of a surgery or out in the field saving lives of people he does not know.", he added
"I would also like to point out that there are neither indications nor any leads that might lead to a logical conclusion about any of our lives being in danger. These people that have died so far, we did not know anyone of them, did we? Therefore it is logical to conclude that nor you, nor your family is at any risk Ambassador Tedak.", Saarok said
"Indeed"; Felix joined in the conversation, "What we have discovered so far indicates that these people who have died do not even exist. There are no records of them, no birth certificates, absolutely nothing about them in neither Starfleet nor Federation database. Therefore based on the findings we have so far there is nothing to indicate that any of the base's senior staff is at any risk, well other than from being prosecuted for a crime by JAG because that investigation is still in progress.", he said
"Now... Ambassador Ji'zhan", Felix said, "We have recovered a set of coordinates from a half burned pad recovered from the explosion site... It indicates a set of coordinates on Qualinost, and seeing you are from the planet... I would like your assistance in locating whatever it is that is in these coordinates.", Felix said his voice back to normal now
"And as for this explosion... It is a matter for Starbase Security and FCIS to investigate... not for me", Felix said

As the Galaxy docked, Voran ordered the refugees taken to the infirmary on the station for medical examinations.
<Starbase Medical Staff>
Voran himself immediately disembarked from the ship and asked, "Lily, where is Admiral Lin?"
"Admiral Lin is at the Dustcloud."
Without another word, Voran made his way there and took a moment to take in the scene that greeted him. He quickly located the Admiral who was accompanied by a group of people.
"Admiral, what's going on?" He said.
<Magellan>
After Magellan explained, Voran filled in his information, "We picked up several survivors from the ship that sent the distress call. They're in the infirmary now, I thought you'd like to be present to ask them questions."

After Captain Voran informed Magellan and the party that was with him of the refugees who have been taken to sickbay, Saarok spoke his mind.
"Admiral", Saarok began, "I believe Ambassador Tedak and myself should accompany you to sickbay to offer our welcome to them, in the name of the people we represent, and to see if they require anything we can offer them", Saarok said
<Tag Tedak>
After the admiral agreed to this, Tedak, Saarok, his two guards, Lin and Voran proceeded through the crowd and then towards the nearest turbolift which would then take them to sickbay. Saarok was pleased, well as pleased as a Vulcan can be. This would end the delusions about Section 31 his companions have been having and that was a good thing.
After a shorter trip to sickbay, they finally arrived. After a shorter conversation between Magellan and the doctor they found out where the leaders of this group were. Therefore the group proceeded that way. After they found the people they were looking forward, Saarok stepped up to be the first to welcome them.
"I would like to welcome you to Starbase Assaillant in the name of the United Federation of Planets", Saarok said, "I am Ambassador Saarok of Vulcan.", he said, "This is Admiral Lin"; he said pointing to Magellan, "The Commanding officer of Starbase Assaillant", he said
<Tag Lin>
"And Captain Voran you already know", he said pointing to Voran, "And this is Ambassador Tedak of the Romulan Star Empire", he said

OOC: First off I would like to apologize for the lack of posting on my part in recent days. I have started University and that has currently been taking all my time. I hope that I will be able to adjust to this new schedule and give my attention back to posting. Also for my sake I'm going to join Lin, Saarok, and Tedak in sickbay and go from there.
IC:
Ezdreiana had just been informed that the Galaxy had returned with refugees. She was not happy to hear this from a nurse who she had happened to collide with, but she would just ignore it for now. She knew that by now Saarok would at least be introducing himself to the refugees. That in mind she made her way to sickbay.
Just as she had expected, she saw Saarok, Admiral Lin, and Tedak talking to who she presumed was the leader of the refugees.
She quietly joined the group and waited to see if she could be any help at all.
OOC: I know it' short, but hopefully better will follow.

"Greetings, I trust you are all well"
Maxon stared in bewilderment at the range of new life forms he was being confronted with, the Alpha Quadrant was far from what he expected.
"Fine thankyou. Some of our people our injured but your doctors are treating them well." He said
Jolant remained quiet, shifting uncomfortably.
"It is unusual to see such a mix of races travelling together" Magellan noted, "I guess you came through the Sub-space corridor."
Maxon looked nervously at Jolant who gave an almost imperceptible shake of his head. "Ermm I m not sure what it was. We have been...travelling a long time"
Magellan took the hint, "I m sure you ll be needing rest. These officers will take you to a conference room where you can have a rest, then we'll see about quarters for you."
Voran made a polite cough and looked at Magellan.
"Ah excuse me. These gentleman will show you the way. Ambassadors, please wait a moment."
Moving away from everyone he and Voran secreted themselves in a corner. "Sir I thought you should know - The ship they were on... It was a relic. Old as they come and according to Tol it was barely spaceworthy, its been immobile and planetside for quite awhile"
"So they are lying about travelling recently. Not especially a crime but I d be happier knowing the full story. Look into it for me and keep me posted."
Voran nodded as Magellan moved over to the Ambassadors,
"Saarok, Ezedreiana We'll need to find homes for these people. At least we need to find out if they want our help. It maybe they just want their ship repaired. I ll leave that to you. Mr Tedak you may be of service too, perhaps the Romulans will be able to take those that do not wish to be in the Federation."

Ji’Zhan was growing tired of this investigation; the more he was evolved with it the more it seemed that Star Fleet was not able to keep their technologies to themselves. This concerned Ji’Zhan, yes, he wanted to become part of the Federation so his people could have a voice. However, not if that meant all their knowledge would be spread from one side of the Galaxy to the other.
Hearing Felix’s irritation he responded by taking the charred PADD and looking at the information. “Captain, it would seem that these coordinates are on the opposite side of the Planet from the Underground City; on the southern most portion of that hemisphere. It would make logical sense as the southern portion of the Planets’ poll seems stronger than the Northern and the consistency of the rock would act as natural shielding from normal scans.” Knowing that the Captain wouldn’t know of the recent surveys of that area Ji’zhan added. “We surveyed that area before my trip to Earth and reports show there was nothing on the surface; so what we are looking for must be subterranean.” Ji’Zhan was calling his office by this time, giving them them a message to come for him with Debrune Craft.

Tedak bowed lightly as Saarok introduced him to the refugees, then listened with half a mind as Lin proceeded to talk to them. He nodded where appropriate and promised Lin he'd contact his own government about the refugees who didn't want to remain in Federation territory. However that required talking to the refugees, who didn't seem too keen about being chatty with a Romulan.
Meanwhile, his mind wandered towards his ex-wife and he worried for her. Catching Mercy's glance from the other side of sickbay, he knew she was all right...for now. "I should offer my assistance here in sickbay," he finally told his companions, "please excuse me."
He detached himself from the group and walked up to Mercy. "Doctor, I once again offer my assistance to you and your medical staff, should it be needed." Then he glanced over at the finally sleeping T'Val. "How is she? What happened?"

"What do you think you are doing?"; Felix asked the Debrune Elder, "You are still a suspect in 2 counts of murder in the first degree, 2 count of assault with a deadly weapon, 2 counts of destroying evidence and 1 count of interfering with an official investigation. Even tough I do not believe you are guilty if I should prosecute... you would be decreed guilty as charged.", Felix said
"The planet surface is outside of my jurisdiction"; Felix added, "However Starfleet Security has authority to act on the surface. And I will hand this matter over to them, and if you attempt to depart from this base before they return with what is down there... I will be forced to issue an order for your arrest.", Felix said
"Now Elder, I hope you will be reasonable and avoid forcing me to do this, I thank you for your assistance in this case and hopefully in a few hours all of this will be resolved.", Felix said
<Tag Ji'zhan>
After finishing up the conversation with the Elder, Felix left to go and coordinate further actions with Chief Vanetti. After hearing out what Felix had to offer, Sharon did not waste time. She ordered a squad of Starfleet security officer transported to the planet right away. With the coordinates known, it did not posse a problem to beam the squad down. But unknown to Sharon, there was someone on that squad who was not Starfleet Security.
Jason smiled as the transporter beam engulfed him as he was being transported to the planet surface. This action lead by Starfleet security gave him a perfect cover to get rid of the last few member of the Section 31 substation in this sector. Once they were dead, he could depart and a new unit would be established here. One loyal to the director... Not this group who thought they were smart by abducting Debrune scientists without the approval of the director.
When they beamed in, the security squad realized that, neither their communicators, weapons nor tricoders were operational. They were in the middle of a crossroads with tunnels leading in 4 directions without any means of identifying the correct path.
"Follow me", Jason said, "We are going to have to take down this dampening field if we intend to get out of here.", he said as he lead the group through one of the tunnels
Jason was counting on the Debrune to show up. And when they did show up all hell would break loose and the men working down here would be killed in the crossfire. But first they had to take down the dampening field. After a long trip through the cave system the group reached a force field behind which a computer terminal was located.
"Ok people, if we're going to get out of here... I need to volunteers to take down this force field.", he said
"What do you mean", one of the men asked
"Well do you se a console around here?", he asked
"Well no, but...", the man responded
"Well then the only way to take it down is to overload it and two bodies hitting it at the same time at the correct spot will do the trick.", he said
"But won't that kill the men who do it?", the guy asked
"Well there is that possibility... but if we don't do it, we're all going to die down here", he said
After a bit of debate, 2 of the men volunteered for the task. After some of the good luck wishes and some modifications to the inoperable phaser riffles the two men hit the force field. The sight was unbearable for most of the people standing there. They could see the men who hit the fore field squirming in pain as the current of the field flowed through their bodies then through the modified riffles then into the ground. After 30 seconds the field was finally gone and the men collapsed. Their friends immediately ran to check their vitals. One of the men was still alive, although barely, the second one was dead. When they went through the arc formerly guarded by the filed all of their equipment was back on line.
"Ok, you"; Jason said, "Contact Assaillant and get these two beamed up ", he said, "The rest of you keep on moving through the tunnels I will stay here until the bodies have been beamed up."
After some complaining the rest of the group moved on leaving only Jason and the man who contacted Assaillant with the two downed men. After the man contacted Assaillant the two bodies were transported of and a moment later the man who arranged it drop down to the ground unconscious as Jason was pocketing his phaser with which he shot the man.

The Galaxy had finally arrived, flodding sickbay with the rescued refugees. Stuart was infact happy to be this busy for once, it kept his mind off T'Val who was resting on a nearby biobed.
A few minor burns and bruises, but nothing too serious it appeared. During his treatments, his sickbay was once again made into a prade ground it seemed. Admiral Lin, together with Ambassadors Saarok, Tedak, and a few minutes later Ezdreiana, came to speak to the refugee leader. Stuart kept his objections to himself, but did insist that the Ambassadorial security guards remained outside of the infirmary.
While the entourage finished up their conversation, Ambassador Tedak came up to Stuart and offered his help for these people. "I appreciate it, Ambassador. We have everything well in hand here."
Stuart caught the Ambassador glancing over at his former wife. "How is she? What happened?"
With a quiet, reassuring voice Stuart responded, "She's simply resting. I gave her a sedative. That attack on her has really gotten to her emotions. She's seems very fragile at the moment, but I'm hoping that with time...and rest, she'll be back to her normal self."
Tedak nodded his head slowly, still with a worried look upon his face. Stuart faced the man. "Look, I know that you still have feelings for her, and you know that I love her very much. I am doing everything I can to ensure her safety and well-being, and you know that to be true. So please, do not be worried."
Just as Stuart finished his sentence Nurse Jill Tsomba came running towards him. "Doctor Mercy, we have two emergency transports beaming in."
"Okay! Give the transporter chief the coordinates for trauma beds two and three, I just cleared them." Nurse Tsomba ran back out for to receive the patients.
Stuart turned back to Tedak. "Well, if you still want to help follow me." Stuart turned towards the exit with Tedak in tow.

Ji’Zhan was going ever so frustrated with this Star Fleet Captain and his threats. Compared to the Debrune, this man was a child in wisdom. During the time Felix was spouting off the charges, Ji’Zhan said that he knew the charges but this didn’t seem to stop the young Captain from his rant. Felix reeled off something of Star Fleet Security having authority to act on the surface of the planet, but that was indeed wrong. The protectorate had not been signed by the Elders so the Debrune still had total authority over the Planet; surface and underground not to even mention the Silasi that was not effected in any way by the Star Fleet protectorate wording. After the Captain was through with is short, unnecessary speech, Ji’Zhan responded, “Captain, I am totally aware of your hyped up charges, your insistent need to have a warm body to pin something on. You simply can’t resist the temptation to form premature theories upon insufficient data. I tell you, Captain, I am becoming increasingly disappointed by the shenanigans of your Department. I will stay on this base. If you need me I will be on the diplomatic level.” With that Ji’Zhan didn’t allow any response and turned to leave. --- Later on the diplomatic level in Debrune Embassy Offices ---Ji’Zhan was reviewing again the protectorate drafted by Star Fleet and the Federation. The Elders had written a conditional acceptance and Ji’Zhan was sending that to Admril Lin, who had been selected as a mediator of the protectorate between the Federation and the Debrune. =/\=Mr. X to Elder Ji'zhan =/\= the distorted Comm channel reported. “Ji’Zhan here who is speaking?” activating the recording device on his desk. =/\=It's the boogey man, it doesn't matter who it is just listen. If you wish to save your dear friends from their captors I suggest you come down to the location you found on that burned pad, and be warned you will face heavy opposition... Make sure to only bring lethal weapons if you wish to survive =/\=Hanging his head in what was now the most distain state of the past several days, Ji’Zhan called the Silasi and gave them the coordinates of the underground cave system were he now knew Mr. X was about to or already had killed. He also gave the recording to them; by the time the Silasi would reach the other side of the Planet they would already have filtered out the voice and set a Nanoprobe ballistic device to seek out and destroy; just a effective as any DNA encoded device Mr. X had used before. Getting up from his desk he opened and composed a message to both Lin and Felix.
--- Sirs, attached to this message you will here the voice of Mr. X and his intentions toward my people. Despite the charges against me, I must act on this threat. I have already sent the Silasi with a ballistic device programmed to seek out Mr. X’s voice pattern; his ego has made him to become sloppy with his covert operations and he overlooked our, the Debrune, technology of voice analysis.
As I understand it, a Star Fleet task force is already on the ground and I fear that this Mr. X as infiltrated your team and by the consideration of his past actions, some of your team could already be dead.
<Tag Mercy … I think this is your two incoming emergency transports>
Captain Felix, if you were not so emphatic on your threat of arresting me if I leave, I would already be on my way there. If you check your computer, you will find that I am in my office. However, I must tell you, if Mr. X in anyway attempts to harm my people, the Silasi will not leave you any evidence to scrutinize.
Admiral Lin, I am now wholly disappointed in the way I have been treated during this so called investigation and I am afraid that if this oppression doesn’t end now, our friendship and the Debrune cooperation will become stagnant.
Elder Ji’Zhan OUT ---

--- on the Planet in the underground cave system where Mr. X and the Debrune captives are being held --- --- from the view point of the Silasi ---
The cave system was not a result of the natural formation of the rock in this area. The caves were drilled by a process that made the walls as smooth as dull glass. The floor was covered in type of compound that deadened foot noise so it was extremely easy for the team of Silasi to make there way quickly through the system. Wearing personal cloaking suits of such advanced technology that even if a person approached the team, just short of walking into them, they wouldn’t detect that anyone was there. Walking up to a cross ventilation tube the team split and made their way to a set of life signs in an upcoming room. The voice patterns of Mr. X were already being detected, however he was standing to close to other for any action at this point.
Team one approached from the front entrance, avoiding detection devices that its energy consumptions were giving them away, it was clear that Mr. X was looking for something to come down that hall by his consistence looking in their direction. Team two was already set up in a ventilation tube directly behind the Debrune captives and had already noted their location in the room and programmed an automatic beam out synchronized with the launch of the ballistic device. They simply trained their assassin style rifles on Mr. X waiting on his move.
A single Silasi operative was dressed as Elder Ji’Zhan and his voice genetically altered to mimic, in everyway, Ji’Zhan’s voice. He uncloaked his suit, took it off and robed himself with Elder robes completely out of view. He approached the room’s entrance.
“Mr. X, I am here.” Raising his personal phaser, he quickly fired a shot into the left shoulder of Mr. X. Mr. X fell to the ground. He turned and aimed some type of device at the captives. The team one leader instinctively fired the ballistic round and in the same second the captives were beamed out.
The room was filled with falling rock and dust, hot from the heat of the ballistic device. The Silasi team two was beamed out with the captives, however team one was left behind to deal with any unexpected events.

After hearing the message from the Debrune Elder, Felix knew his involvement in this matter was nearing the end. It was time to end this charade once and for all... at least for the time being. He opened one of the drawers in his desk and pulled out a communicator he received several days ago.
=/\=Jason, we have eruption=/\=
=/\=Excellent, you can now officially drop all the charges against the Elder=/\=
=/\=He has set the Silasi on you, he believes they have your voice and have programmed a hunter killer to take you out=/\=
=/\=It all is as it has been predicted... You just be sure to have the papers ready for me after I'm done down here. They will get my dead body, and you will have your 'insane killer' all in one, Jason out=/\=
After ending the conversation with Jason, Felix opened a comm. channel with Cmdr. Sarkonis.
=/\=Savali to Cmdr. Sarkonis. Drop all the charges against Elder Ji'zhan=/\=
=/\=Sir?=/\=, Sarkonis inquired
=/\=You heard me=/\=
=/\=Yes, sir=/\=, Sarkonis said as he brought up the case file on the computer in front of him and entered the command
=/\=All charges against the Ambassador have been dropped-=/\=, he said
=/\=Excellent, Savali out=/\=
After that was done, Felix contacted Admiral Lin.
=/\=Captain Savali to Admiral Lin=/\=
=/\=Admiral Lin here, go ahead=/\=
=/\=Ambassador Ji'zhan is no longer a suspect. All charges have been dropped and an official apology has been issued to him as well as to the people of Debrune.=/\=, he said
=^=I see and its taken you this long to assertain that=^= Magellan replied icily =^= I ll want a full and detailed report on ALL aspects of your investigation on my desk by tomorrow morning=^=
After the admiral expressed his feelings on the matter Felix closed down the channel and booted up the computer terminal on his desk. He accessed the Starfleet central database and activated the system patch given to him by Jason. A few moments later the patch had been applied and a new identity created. Felix pulled out a pad and transferred the papers and clearance level to the pad. Once Jason returned he would have it all and would be able to leave the base. Now all he could do is wait.
--Meanwhile on the planet surface--
After finishing up the convo with Felix Jason had to speed up his timetable. He didn't have anytime to deal with these idiots from Starfleet security. He set his phaser to a wide beam and as he approached them from behind... shot them. They were not injured but simply stunned. That was enough to keep them out of the way. He proceeded down the corridor and finally reached the chamber where the Debrune were held along with the last remaining members of the S31 team.
"I've come to collect", Jason said as he went in phaser blasting
The men did not even realize what was happening as one by one were dropping to the ground. Only one man was left standing.
"If you want to live, you will do as I say", Jason said to him
"Yes, yes anything", the man said and was visibly scared
The Debrune prisoners were behind a force field that did not allow to be seen through from the other side so he was safe from them for now. While keeping his weapon on the last living member of S31, he pulled out another phaser which had only one setting on it... kill. He used it to shot the people who were lying on the floor. As he shot them their bodies disappeared 1 by 1. After that was done he pulled out two hypospreys. He went over to the living S31 agent and pressed the first spray against his throat. This one inhibited his speech center in the brain. The main could no longer speak, and then he applied the second one which contained a tiny microchip which he inserted in the man’s vocal chords.
When the chip was inserted Jason pulled out his tricoder and activated it. Then he gave them man his phaser, the one with the stun setting and activated his personal transporter, and just in time. Moments after he had gone the Silasi were upon the person they suspected to be him. And moments later that person died buried under the rocks and stones that buried once and for all what was once a Section 31 secret laboratory...
--Back on the Starbase--
Felix was still waiting to hear back from Jason when suddenly he heard the familiar sound of some transporting in. When he turned to see who it was he saw it was Jason.
"Surprised to see me alive?", Jason asked as he began getting out of his uniform and as he threw his weapons and all other equipment he had into the replicator on the wall
"Get rid of this, will ya'.", Jason said to Felix
"Of course", Felix said as he activated the replicator and all the items disappeared.
Jason then replicated himself some civilian clothes and afterward he sat down to have a conversation with Felix.
"You have done a great service to the Federation, Captain", Jason said, "And the Director will be very pleased to have someone on of your reputation working for us.", he said
"If there is any of it left after you made me pressure the Debrune that hard", Felix said
"Do not be concerned, it will all blow over.", Jason said, "Once we have the new people in place you will receive a message", he added
"Very well", Felix replied
"Now if you'll excuse me I have a transport to catch", Jason said as he smiled and left Felix's office via the door
Felix was glad that was done. But not everything was over yet, the Judge Advocate General still wanted him to find out who is responsible for the murders on the station. But according to Jason... things will change very soon.
