Sevik was intrigued when Commander Benzin, in his thick accent, mentioned some of what he had worked on was part of the vessel they were now aboard. Even though he was against violence, and that he wasn't involved in any of the more technical fields of study, he was interested. And, after everyone had finished saying what they had to say, Sevik spoke up: "Sir, what systems exactly did you work on that have been incorporated into the NX Class of Starships?"

'I fail to see any humor here, and yet you are smiling? I still don't have a working knowledge of humor.' Rickman had found Kirk's anecdote amusing enough to smile at it. He didn't know Kirk well, but it confirmed some suspicions about him. He found Sevik's frank admission of lack of knowledge about humour surprising. It never really occurred to Rickman that humour was something you needed to know about. Either you found something funny or you didn't. 'Sevik, don't worry about it' he reassured the Vulcan 'it was funny to us because it's the opposite of what is expected. He was doing the very thing wrong that she was complaining about and at the end it looked like he hadn't learnt from it. If you don't find that funny then you don't find it funny. Not even all humans have a sense of humour.'

Not even all humans have a sense of humour."
Sevik listened to Rickman's reassurance. He considered what he had said, and, while he still didn't understand the humor of the situation, nodded and said, "Thank you."
Part of him almost wished he had a sense of humor. Cause, while it would fall under the emotions he and his kind suppressed, he knew that if he possessed an understanding of humor, he could better work and associate with his crewmates. *Is not such a thing logical?* he wondered to himself. *This is a subject which certainly requires further meditation.* At the very least, he would continue to observe his fellow officers in their interactions. And even if he never used it himself, maybe he could understand a little more what humans were like.
He took the last bite of his apple pie, a pleasent desert, and handed his plate to Chef, who had walked in to see if anyone was finished. A nod to him was the only praise he gave. But, coming from Sevik, that was a lot.

As they all finished their deserts, Chef came in to clear up personally.
"I trust the meal was to your liking?" he enquired.

"Absolutely exquisite, Chef." said Adams.
As the last of the plates were cleaned away, Adams spoke, "Well, that about concludes our dinner, I suppose, I hope you all enjoyed it, and I feel that we're all a bit closer now. Well, I know you're all busy people so I won't keep you."

Adams had a shift in 5 hours, so he decided to go and get a little sleep. He headed for his quarters and entered them.
He took his uniform off and had a quick shower; on a starship, you never knew when you were going to have to get up, and when you did, there might not be time for a shower.
As he got into bed, he mused that he had a good crew. He had enjoyed the meal and hoped they had too, hoped that now, they'd all know each other a little better.

Benzin: Well, I helped development on a small scale on the upgraded phase cannon, specifically beam dispersal and beam strength. I had the distinct pleasure and honor of testing the weapon. It was most impressive. However, compared to the other masterminds behind the upgrade, my role was somewhat small, but nonetheless gratifying.
Benzin knew that Vulcans were a peaceful people by nature, and he was curious as to why Mr. Sevik asked. But then again the Vulcans were also technologically advanced and many Vulcans were interested in the field of technology.
Benzin: And welcome aboard the Challenger, Mr. Sevik.

If his perception of human emotions and such were correct, Sevik could see that Commander Benzin was puzzled at his interest in tactical systems. But he had his reasons.
"And welcome aboard the Challenger, Mr. Sevik."
"Thank you," Sevik said, with a bow of his head.
As they all finished their deserts, Chef came in to clear up personally: "I trust the meal was to your liking?" he enquired.
"It sufficed," Sevik answered. He guessed humans needed more than just the slight nod.
"Absolutely exquisite, Chef." said Adams.

Sevik stood and straightened his uniform out. Then he turned and made his way to the rooms exit.

Dinner had finished with the chef wanting a pat on the back, so Kirk took it upon himself to give the old boy a good smack adding, "Mom couldn't have done better."
The chef apparantly wasn't amused by the gesture. Looking to his right Kirk spotted Logan just shaking his head. Kirk laughed to himself about how obnoxious he had been most of he night, it wasn't his fault he just never felt comfortable being in a formal dinner. He once told a close friend that engineers should never try and hold a wine glass, fore they would eventually break them and attempt to fashion some sort of tool using the broken glass. Kirk's grandfather had always refured to this as the McGyver complex.
"Now I'm comfortable," Kirk said as he ripped off his dress jacket showing off his non regulation 'Earth Engineering' t-shirt, "I need a beer, you coming Jack?"

Had Jack ever eaten something so good? He seriously doubted it, even his mom's Texas BB&Q would have some serious competition against chef's food.
"Chef that was just perfect," Jack said as he licked his lips. He knew that the Vulcan would pick up on this and Jack just gave him a smile. He was born on Earth, but he was still Vulcan. He would need to break his shell a bit.
"Well, that about concludes our dinner, I suppose, I hope you all enjoyed it, and I feel that we're all a bit closer now. Well, I know you're all busy people so I won't keep you."
"Well Captain, I'm glad that you invited us and I will get movie night started very shortly," Jack said as he got up from his chair along with everyone else. Jack made his goodbyes to everyone except Andrew who seemed to be the most out of place. He must seriously dislike formal events, Jack thought as he smiled at his friend's gesture.
"Now I'm comfortable," Kirk said as he ripped off his dress jacket showing off his non regulation 'Earth Engineering' t-shirt, "I need a beer, you coming Jack?"
"Well if you all excuse us, I will be making my exit," Jack said in a playful manner. Even before he left the Captain dining room, he was already pretending to be drunk. Everyone laughed except Sevik of course.
"A beer what kind do you have?" Jack asked as he started to take off his dress jacket. Once he did all that was revealed was the Starfleet regulation undershirt. The one major difference about Jack and Andrew, was the fact that Andrew wasn't afraid of being himself. Jack still had to work at it.
<Tag Kirk>
"Hey Andrew, I know that you are a sports fan so I want your opinion on this," Jack said as they walked the corridors presumably to his quarters where the beer was being held.
"Okay shoot," he responded quickly.
"Well the 2005-2006 season of the National Football League, I've been watching the first part of the playoffs and I can't remember who won the whole thing," Jack said hoping that his friend would tell him the answer.

"Ah the 2005 season," Kirk said letting the words soak in, "never was there a more disappointing end to the season for hall of fame Quarterback Peyton Manning." Kirk finished as he continued to lead the way to his quarters.
"So..." Jack said letting the last part of his sentence tail off.
"So...to be honest I can't really remember. My grandfather and I used to always talk sports but I can't seem to recall at the moment. I suggest we throw back a couple and watch the games each night. Start with the Seattle Seahawks vs the Carolina Panthers, then move onto the Denver Broncos vs the Pittsburgh Steelers." Kirk finished as they finally reached his quarters.
Stepping inside Kirk opened up a refrigerator revealing a small arrangement of beers he had brought up from Earth during their last shore leave.
"Take your pick while I pop in the game." Kirk said leaving the refrigerator open.

Sevik made his way back to his quarters, as he didn't have another duty shift for a while. He could have handled several shifts in a row, with his Vulcan physiology. But he knew that the other helmsmen under his command needed practice as well. So he decided to let them have some.
When the doors of his room closed behind him, and he was sure he was alone, he let out a sigh...very slight of course. Then he relaxed his body, ever-so slightly. Sometimes it took all his resources to remiain "Vulcan." He sometimes wished he weren't this way, but it was unavoidable. So he lived with it.
He walked over to his desk and pulled the drawer out. His journal was sitting there, and he took it out. Nothing of importance came to his mind to write, so he simply wrote a recording of the day's happenings. He would have to meditate on a few things before he would have more to write down.
And that is exactly what he did. He sat down on the floor in the center of the small room. He wasn't much of a person for insence or candles, as he thought they were distracting. He merely liked to just sit and think over what had happened in the day. Not the same kind of meditation that he had been taught. But it was what worked for him. And he considered it illogical to do something that, while it was what you were taught, didn't work.
The main thing on his mind was the dinner that had just been concluded. He had gone from practically not knowing them at all, to having been volunteered to help Ensign's Logan and Kirk with movie night. He was mildly courious as to how that would develop. Also, he was confused about human behavior: it was so...illogical! He shook his head as too many lines of thought were coming to him.
He went over to his bed and, in a small box under it, he pulled out the equipment necessary for brewing a cup of Earth tea. He had grown accustomed to it, and found it had a calming effect on him. While drinking from the steaming cup, he wrote down a few more items of information in his leatherbound book, and then put it back in its place.
The computer was already instructed to awake him when it was time for duty, but he had "programed" himself to wake 5 minutes earlier than that. Seeing to it that nothing else was needed of him, he undressed and got in bed. He may not need sleep for a while, but it sure helped. Using some calming techniques, he was asleep within 30 seconds...

Two days later, they had almost arrived at their destination, the unknown M Class planet. The crew had high hopes, perhaps they'd get to make first contact with a new alien species, or make some scientific discovery. At the very least, Adams was hoping to be able to stretch his legs.
The door of the lift opened onto the bridge and Adams walked out. His senior bridge staff were all at their posts, even Captain Rickman had assumed his station on the bridge to see what would come of this.
Adams walked to the middle of the bridge and sat in his chair as he said, "Report."
"We're approaching the Minshara Class planet, sir." said Sevik.
"Assume standard orbit."
"Aye sir." replied Sevik, as he tapped a few controls.
Moments later, they were in orbit of the planet. They could see all it's land masses and glittering oceans.

"What have you got on sensors Jack?" asked Adams. He had been debating whether to call his crew by their first names or not now that they had been informally introduced. He remembered that Captain Archer normally called his senior crew by their first names and so had decided to instigate a similar policy.

Kirk had spent the last couple of days grumbling over the defeat of the Carolina Panthers to the Seattle Seahawks. Even though the game was more than a hundred years old Kirk couldn't help but talk about how the game actually turned out.
"They played so poorly!" Kirk said in a raised tone of voice.
"Ya know Andrew, you knew the Panthers were going to lose, its all recorded on the ships computer. One of the many 'historic seasons'." Nixon replied.
"Shut up."
What does he know? Kirk mumbled to himself as he began to tinker away on the ships computer systems. Kirk had become pleasantly surprised at how efficient the ship was running; it wasn't the more efficient ship in the fleet, not up to Enterprise standards but it was still above Starfleet's standards.
"How the hell did he get those engines tuned so well?" Kirk asked to nobody in particular.
He scratched his head with an old fashioned looking wrench. Although he had brand new hand tools and modern tools at his disposal he still preferred his grandfathers set of tools he was given the day he set out for space.
"Alright Nix, I want you to hold down the fort while I go up to the bridge to check in with Captain Adams."
"Why don't ya just use the com system, that's what it's there for." Nixon replied with a smile on his face.
Kirk mouthed a few words in Nixon's direction then resumed his journey toward the bridge. As the lift stopped on the bridge Kirk got a chance to watch the main viewscreen as it pulled closer to the planet.
"Assume standard orbit." Captain Adam's ordered.
"Aye sir." replied Sevik, as he tapped a few controls.
Moments later, they were in orbit of the planet. They could see all it's land masses and glittering oceans.
"Wow..." Kirk said above a whisper.

Sevik sat at his post, making minor corrections to their course. Avoiding large objects, and diverting others with the deflectors. He had them set to automatically take care of dangerous ones. But he wanted to test his own reflexes so he would know his limits in case of an emergency in which the computer couldn't do the job on its own.
The door of the lift opened onto the bridge and Captain Adams walked out. He walked to the middle of the bridge and sat in his chair. "Report," he said.
"We're approaching the Minshara Class planet, sir." said Sevik. Minshara being also called a "Class M Planet." Basically meaning it was habitable by humanoid lifeforms without other aids.
"Assume standard orbit."
"Aye sir." replied Sevik, as he tapped a few controls.
Moments later, they were in orbit of the planet. They could see all it's land masses and glittering oceans.
"Wow..." Kirk said above a whisper. Other bridge crew members gave similar sentiments. Sevik merely raised an eyebrow in facsination. He may not have been moved in the way his human counterparts were, but he knew that he was part of something bigger than himself. And being among the first Starfleet officers to see this new planet, which was asthetically pleasing, was one of the most...exciting moments he had experienced.
"What have you got on sensors Jack?" asked Captain Adams. Sevik noted that the Captain was addressing them all by their first names. Most likely to produce a friendly, almost family like, environment in which to work. While it was not necessary for him, Sevik knew it would have an impact on the others. He sat and waited to see what the Comm Officer would have to say about the planet.

Things were going well on the Challenger, but Jack had been in a horrible mood since watching the Panther/Seahawks game. He didn't remember what had happened, but he knew that he wanted Carolina to win. It seemed as Andrew was also in the same boat as him, as they didn't talk much after the game. Jack almost wished he hadn't promised to watch Super Bowl XL with him. Jack wanted to check who had won, but he programmed the ship to not give him access to that information.
Jack's spirits were risen when the news came that they had reached their destination. Jack had wanted to study this planet for days now and his heart was pounding away.
"What have you got on sensors Jack?" Captain Adams asked.
Jack was already working all the sensors on the ship, he wanted every bit of information that they could get for him. The things that were coming in were amazing great things. There were large cities, farmland, towns, and a population ranging between the 2-3 billion.
"Captain this is the jackpot, they're large cities, a huge population humanoid, radio signals," Jack said clearly excited. The only bad thing was that this world did not poses warp drive.
"Captain what are your orders?" Jack asked hoping that it would be to research this planet more, since Jack was already hacking into the media outlets and trying to learn their language.

Adams listened to Logan as he gave him the good news. It would be a fascinating planet to study, like looking into their own past. From what Logan described, it sounded like the planet was equivalent to late 20th/early 21st century Earth.
"Captain what are your orders?" asked Logan.
Adams thought for a moment then said, "I want you and all the senior staff to collect as much information as possible, make sure the universal translators can handle their language, then, if I think we're ready, we'll take a landing party down.
Everyone on the bridge exchanged excited looks.

Everyone on the bridge exchanged excited looks. Well everyone except Sevik. He was actually expecting this. After all, why come all the way out to a habital planet, then find it is inhabited by intelligent humanoids, and not study them and establish first contact? It wouldn't be logical, barring any extreme cases of course.
Despite this, Sevik did find it...odd, that the Captain would be so quick to make it a possibility they would go down. He wondered what role he would/could play. His skills lie with flying, not in any science or trade. He might fly the shuttlepod down, but that may be it. Unless they want him to accompany the landing party into wherever they went for some reason. And, as far as studying them before going to them, he had no idea what he could do there. However, he was willing to help if he could, so..."Logan? Is there anything I can do to aid you in studying this? I am only a pilot, but I am willing to do whatever is required of me."

Kirk continued to stand in the back of the bridge as Jack and the Captain exchanged orders and information. He was excited to hear that the Captain wanted everybody to head down to the surface to get more of a hands on study of this new civilization.
Kirk found this to be the best time to pick up some mechanical devices and tools for comparison to Earth tools and devices of approximately the same time period.
The bridge fell silent as each member of the senior staff seemed to be thinking about the marvelous things they might see down on the planets surface. Kirk took this as his moment to be able to report to Captain Adams the state of the engines.
Standing next to the Captain, Kirk got his attention and quickly briefed him, "Sir, engines are checking out in great shape. I have also taken the liberty of sending you a copy of my report to your office."

They had been in orbit of the planet for 5 days. Logan, who had been studying the planet's communications almost nonstop, had informed Adams that they called the planet Mentusa and called themselves the Mentusi.
His crew had been gathering all information they could from this strange new world and found that it wasn't as strange as originally thought. Quite similar, in fact, to Earth at the late part of the 20th Century. They were becoming quite technologically advanced and had already sent a spacecraft to two of their moons. They had not established an extremely advanced satellite network yet, but Challenger still had to be careful that she wasn't caught out by what sensors they did have.
Captain Adams, for one, was extremely anxious to get down to the surface. He knew that it might be a little risky, but they would make sure to be extra careful.
Logan had managed to get the language pretty much licked and the universal translators were ready. The doctor had altered their appearences to make them look like Mentusi (quite similar to human, but with a circular bump at the bottom of the forehead, between the eyes.)
They were all in the shuttlebay, dressed in Mentusi clothing. The landing party consisted of Adams, Logan, Sevik, Kirk and Rickman. Adams regretted having to leave Benzin behind, but he needed a senior officer to run the ship and Benzin was the First Officer.
"Okay." Said Adams, " You've all been briefed, you know what to expect. There are a few things I want to emphasise though. Limit your contact with these people; the more contact you have, the more chance there is of exposing yourself. Second, keep your communicators, scanners and phase pistols out of sight at all times. We must, under no circumstances, reveal to these people who we really are."
The men said nothing, but all nodded. With that, they all descended into the shuttle and Sevik took the helm. The journey wasn't too long, Sevik making sure to keep out of sight of all surveillance systems.
They landed in a cave positioned far from the inhabited areas that Logan had managed to find on the scans. This meant that they were in for a long walk, however.
They were going to head for the Capital City, Jel-Teplik and spend the day there. It was a 26-hour day and they had arrived early in the morning so they would have plenty of time.
They walked for an hour, the sun was rising in the sky and eventually, they reached the outskirts of Jel-Teplik. Adams loved it, it was so enchanting, it was like being back in 20th Century Earth again, but with deliberate mistakes. On the roads, were automobiles, just like the old ones from Earth, no doubt heading to work for a long day.
"Right," said Adams, "We'll split up and meet back here in 10 hours. Wolf, you go with Sevik, and Jack, Andrew and I will be the other group. Stay together at all times. Explore, do what you like, stay out of their way. Maybe visit a museum or two, sample the food or something, it's up to you."
With that, they walked off in opposite directions.
"So," said Adams to his two companions, "What do you wanna do first?"

"So," said Adams to his two companions, "What do you wanna do first?"
Kirk was distracted by the many cars driving by, more than anything he wanted to pull out his scanner to get a reading on what types of emissions were coming out of the tailpipes, test the types of fuels they happened to be using.
Looking into the large city Kirk hadn't spotted the tell tale signs of fossil fuels being used as a means for a fuel source.
"Hydrogen maybe?" Kirk mumbled to himself, "Look at that! That looks almost like a 2000 Corvette."
The lines on the passing car were very similar, almost shocking. Realizing he was making more of a scene than he needed to Kirk made more of an effort to be more reserved.
"What to do first," Kirk thought about this for a moment, it was a hard question to answer since this was their first time, "I think we should observe the local customs before jumping too far into something."

Sevik turned to the only other person in his group, Wolf, and said, "I suggest we go to the town's market. I took the liberty of checking the scans of the city, and found the largest one. It is not unlike one of earth's malls of the 20th and 21st century. There we can observe the locals in their daily life, test some food if we are hungry, and maybe find some leads as to the best places in the city to visit." Then, remembering that humans sometimes did not like being told what to do like that: "Unless, of course, you think we should take another route."
Hoping his companion was not too offended, Sevik waited for his reply, almost eager to get on with their mission. First Contact was a very important one. Sevik felt...different without his pointed ears, but it was deemed necessary for blending in with the Mentusi. A taste of the local food wouldn't be bad either...

Rickman didn't mind the idea. After all, people tended to like markets. It was certainly a, well, logical idea. 'Why not? Let's go'
It took them a little while to reach the market since the locals were about as ignorant and careless as humans tended to be. Also, neither spoke or read Manturi and using the UT was out of the question since people would doubtless spot the fact the mouths were saying something the worse were not. Also this way people would just assume they were foreign tourists.
The market didn't turn out to be all that might be hoped. It was large and rather impressive, but it was very much like a human construct. Sort of form of the body setting the form of the buildings. One noticable thing was that the locals loved pillars and used them a lot. 'More holes than walls', Rickman commented, nudging Sevik Sevik's eyebrow raised
A loud noise in the crowd began to emerge and Sevik and Rickman looked towards it. Someone was shouting something out of a bank and pointing a weapon at someone else. Rickman couldn't miss what it was; a bank job starting. 'Bloody brilliant, in the middle of a holiday too' he said 'We can't just stand here, we need to help' 'May I remind you that you are not a military man of this planet' Sevik pointed out 'Yes you may, but I'll ignore you all the same. There are innocent people in there and we're the ones most likely to be able to help. You don't have to come' 'If you insist on interfering then it is logical we do it together' Sevik said, but Rickman had the feeling he was showing some sense of comradeship. 'Pleasure to have you, Mr Sevik'
The two managed to sneak in the back way of the bank. That meant this was more dangerous since the robbers were amateurs, possibly just mindless thugs. They were likely to panic and just open fire. 'Pistols on stun' Rickman said 'We'll move forward in a one-two pattern' Sevik's eyebrow raised 'It means I go first to a secure position whilst you cover me and then it reverses' With that, Rickman moved forward in military style. When he was in position, Sevik did the same with reasonable competance. With no resistance they reached the main room. There were two in there, but something didn't feel right to Rickman; the hostages were not there. 'You take the right one' he ordered Sevik Two flashes marked the end of their careers as bank robbers. 'Any more lifesigns?' Rickman asked 'Ten upstairs' he reported 'one is apart from the others' 'First we cover our tracks' Rickman said and struck one of the inert men with a broken chair leg, then the other. Sevik was probably intelligent enough to see why he was doing this.
The two moved upstairs and pushing the rick door open a crack saw the man near the door with the hostages the other side. 'We can't shoot him in view of the others' Sevik pointed out 'Any ideas would be good' 'I have one that would work' Sevik said, somewhat more coldly than usual. Before Rickman could reply, Sevik thrust his pistol into Rickman's hands and walked into the room as boldly as Rickman had ever seen. He started speaking quickly in Vulcan like a panicked tourist in the wrong place at the wrong time. The robber was confused long enough for Sevik to reach him. Then two things happened. Sevik placed his hand on the man's shoulder and pinched. The second was that the man fired at Sevik. Both hit the floor. Rickman ran into the room and checked Sevik's lifesigns. He was alive, but barely. 'Why?' he asked 'It was the logical thing' Sevik replied and his eyes closed At the sound of sirens outside, Rickman picked Sevik up and ran out the room, down the stairs and into the alley behind. He kept running as much as he could and eventually was in a quiet place some way away. He pulled out the communicator. 'Rickman to Adams, we have a problem. Sevik is badly injured and I cannot carry him all the way to the shuttle on my own.' <Adams>

Jack was about to say something when his communicator went off.
'Rickman to Adams, we have a problem. Sevik is badly injured and I cannot carry him all the way to the shuttle on my own.'
There looks of horror on everyone's face and they all immediately started running in the direction that Wolf had told them. How could this happen, Jack thought, they had only been there for about twenty minutes and this was not the best way to get things going.
"Ensign Logan I want you to report to the shuttle and get it ready for launch," Adams ordered as the continued to move. This order caused Jack to stop in his track and look at his commanding officer.
"Sir, you need me here, if something happens with the translator you will need me here," Jack said pleading his case.

"Rickman to Adams, we have a problem. Sevik is badly injured and I cannot carry him all the way to the shuttle on my own." Came Rickman's voice down the comm channel.
"For goodness' sake, we've been here twenty minutes!" shouted Adams.
"Ensign Logan I want you to report to the shuttle and get it ready for launch." Ordered Adams.
Logan looked dumbstruck.
"Sir, you need me here, if something happens with the translator you will need me here." Said Logan, clearly not wanting to go.
"Believe me, ensign, I don't intend to hand around long enough to talk to anyone." Called Adams as he began to run towards Rickman's position.
They arrived within minutes. Sevik was on the floor, with green blood coming from his chest.
"Projectile wound," said Adams, looking at his scanner, "it's too serious, we need to get him back to the ship now!"
He opened his communicator.
"Mr Benzin, transport Sevik to the ship now." He ordered.
"Yes sir." came Benzin's reply.
<Benzin>
"Do you have him, Challenger?" asked Adams.
"Yes sir." came the reply.
"Get him to sickbay immediately." said Adams.
"How did this happen?" Adams asked Rickman.
Rickman explained.
"You were told not to interfere!" Adams yelled in rage.

"Now is not the time for this, there's bound to be some sort of surveillance device in there, we need to get the recording of you firing those phase pistols. Andy, can you find out where their security center might be?"

"Now is not the time for this, there's bound to be some sort of surveillance device in there, we need to get the recording of you firing those phase pistols. Andy, can you find out where their security center might be?"
Kirk looked around for a second to make sure the coast was clear. When the communicators started to go off Captain Adams quickly darted into a cramped alley way. Swinging the backpack Kirk was carrying around him he pulled out a large portable scanning device. As he activated it the scanner made a lot of noise as it scanned for whatever Kirk wanted it to.
"Can that thing be more quiet?" Captain Adams asked.
"Afraid not sir," Kirk said as he continued to concentrate on the scanner, "Sir, I'm picking up radio waves in the area. It seems that the authorities are already on the look out for two men matching Rickman and Sevik's descriptions." Kirk squinted to read more, "They are saying something about...demon fire." Kirk finished giving Captain Adam's a confused look.
Giving the scanner more time Kirk finally found what he was looking for. It appeared that this society had a central hub for all information, and commerce to go for storage. It was a multipurpose building used mainly as a form of City Hall.
"I think I found it sir." Kirk said.
"Good, can we get in to retrieve the video footage?" Adams asked.
"It doesn't look like it sir. Because the authorities referred to Rickman and Sevik as Demons the entire city has gone into some sort of lock down. I have a feeling if we can't get back to the shuttle we might be picked up as well."
Kirk peered around the corner of the alley and found the streets were like a ghost town, not a single person to be around anywhere.
"I have to admit, this is a little spooky." Kirk said.
"Tell me about it." Adams' added.
"Sir, I have the security frequency on this scanner. When we get back to Challenger I could always use it to get into their security files and possibly remove the information. Either that or we could always beam right into the building's computer center."

"Alright, let's get out of here, and be discreet; we don't want to be seen by anyone." said Adams.
They began the long journey back to the shuttle. Logan was about fifteen minutes ahead of them. Luckily, their journey passed without incident and they got back to the ship okay.
When they arrived Adams gave the order to Logan and Kirk, "I want you two to try and get into their computer systems and erase this footage."
<Kirk/Logan>
"You," he addressed Rickman, "wait for me in my ready room."
<Rickman>
Adams went to sickbay and checked on Sevik. The doctor had him stabilized, but he was still in critical condition. Then, Adams made his way to his ready room.
When he got there, he addressed Rickman in a calm, but angry voice, "What were you thinking?"
