Luke lead Giga and the excited Commadent out of Engineering and headed for their quaters. Giga and his Father talked constantly all the way, leaving Luke to plan the meal for the evening. He had decided to cook himself, using replicated food which his Dad would not be happy about but getting fresh food on a Starship was difficult. His mind then wandered to the mission. He hoped that the interrogation of the prisoners would continue and that the real reason behind their prescence would be revealed and not only that - he wanted to be involved. They arrived at Giga'a and Luke's fathers quaters, where Luke left them to get ready. His father began to get excited again. "I will be able to cook again! I havent cooked since leaving the Head Chef position on that Engineering Station!" He exclaimed. Luke still wasn't sure how his father had managed to go from a Head Chef to Ambassador and his Father wasn't telling either. Luke left them and walked into his quaters to get changed and cleaned up. ****1702**** Luke pressed the chime on his father's door and Giga answered. He looked the same as before. In his uniform. Luke had changed into a pair of jeans he had found on the replicator database and a smart but casual black shirt he had also found on the database. His father stepped out of the bathroom in a gleaming Chef's outift. Luke was stunned. Him and his father in the same kitchen - it was going to be interesting... "Come on then Luke! Let's get going!" He cried. ****1737**** Luke and his father were in the kitchen preparing the starter. Giga was out in the dining area taling to the holo-waiters. He was fascinated by their awareness of the fact that they holograms. "So Dad." Luke said, chopping the carrots for the soup. "How are you and Mum?" "Fine, fine." He said dismissively. "These potatoes are nowhere as good as the ones on the Engineering station." He said changing the subject. ****1838**** The meal was finished and ready for serving. Now the only thing lacking was guests. Luke stepped out into the dining area and made sure the cutlery was all sorted and that there was plenty of wine on the table. He prepped the holo-waiters on the meal order and asked his Dad to change out of his Chef uniform. "Yes, perhaps my Ambassadorial robes..." He said walking off into one of the bathrooms. Luke sighed. "This is the Dorchester hotel is it not?" Giga asked from behind Luke. "Yes. One of my favourites. Set in 21st Century Earth." ****1856**** Luke and Giga were preparing the menu's on the table. Everyone had two options. Luke hoped it would be enough. Starter Carrot and Potato Soup or Salmon with Green Side Salad
Main Meal Klingon Beef with Vulcan Sun Dried Roots with/without a meat or vegetable gravy Andorian Pasta Shells with Frabian Fire Sauce There is always the Option of a Side Salad
Dessert Chocolate Ice Cream with a Variety of Sauces Pasuivan Fruit Salad (Or Both!)
AFTER DINNER MINTS AND COFFEE/ TEA WILL BE SERVED He hoped everyone would start arriving soon... <TAG Everyone>

OFF: Joint post; Wood and me.
ON: Wood walked through the dimly lit corridors of the Tiger Shark, indicating the evening, dressed in a smart black pants, bordeaux shirt and black jacket. Passing several doors, he was counting them to find the right one, Wood wondered what Thirteen would wear... if he'd come. That's why he was here, picking him up. He arrived and rang the bell.
Surprised Thirteen opened the door to his quarters, and found Wood being the person that'd rung. ''Commander?'' he asked.
"Call me John." Wood looked up and down, checking Thirteen's garment. A standard uniform. "Is this what you're wearing?" Wood checked the time on his authentic pocket watch, nudged Thirteen back into his quarters, pushed him onto the sofa (dull grey without any comfort whatsoever.... Borg...), and stood by the replicator. "Well now, what would look good on an Ex-Borg. Something to match those implants."
Taken aback by Wood's actions Thirteen didn't quit well know how te respond. ''Commander, I do not see the nessecity in changing my garments. If we wish to attend the party on time, I suggest we take our leave,'' Thirteen said.
OFF: End of part I, part II will be presented to you on a short notice.

OFF: Here it is, finally, the long expected Joint post part II; Wood and I.
ON: "Thirteen, it's all in the delivery. So is a party, so you better stay there and wait for me to fix up something for you to wear. And call me John." Wood chuckled. ''Comman- John,'' Thirteen began, ''I have changed into a clean uniform for the occasion, there is no need for a spare one.''
"It is not a duty shift, Thirteen, it's a party. Now... how would a Borg look in a tuxedo?" ''My vocabulairy does not appear to include the word 'tuxedo'.'' "It's a 20th century penguin suit, surely you must have seen it on old pictures of official occasions and such."
''I cannot recall such images, however I would like to learn.'' Wood sighed. "Computer, open my personal database, access image 294247." The computer displayed an image of Wood in a red tux. "Something like that in black? What's your size?" ''That looks... fancy,'' Thirteen stated, mentioning his size.
"Thank you. Computer, one black tuxedo."Wood entered the parameters, after which the computer replicated the tux. "Here, pants, shirt, jacket, tie. Now something for a fancy handkerchief." Wood looked around and grabbed a standard issue Starfleet napkin. "Beautiful."
Confused Thirteen looked down at the clothes in his hands. ''Well, go put them on!'' Wood urged. Unemberrassed Thirteen took off his uniform, and donned the tuxedo. ''How does this device work?'' he asked struggeling with the bowtie.
"Uhh... yeah..." Wood said, struggling with the bowtie, tugging Thirteens neck. ''Commander, I would appreciate it if I were still able to aquire oxygen once you are done,'' Thirteen said while Wood pulled the tie a bit too tight around Thirteen's neck.
"Thirteen, as soon as I understand the need for a formal piece of material around someone's neck, which will cut off someone's air supply, I will let you know." Wood tugged the tie again. "Ok, that one over this, and then... Voilà!" Wood padded off Thirteen's shoulders.
Thirteen didn't know how to respond. ''Come on, loosen up! have a look in the mirror and tell me what you think,'' Wood said. Thirteen walked to the bathroom and stared at his mirror image. ''Do you think a 'tuxedo'... suits me commander?'' he asked.
Wood gazed at Thirteen. "Yes, nice." ''I think I agree with you,'' Thirteen said, ''shall we make our way to the party?''
"Wait, now you're looking all fancy, but what about my attire?" Wood extended his arms for Thirteen to get a good look. ''Have you considered consulting a professional tailor?'' Wood gave him a strange look. ''It was a joke commander, but I seem not yet to posses the gift of Human humor.''
Wood sighed, looking at his pocket watch. "Let's go." ''Agreed,'' Thirteen said, following Wood out of his quarters. ''Jonathan, may I ask you a question?'' ''Sure,'' Wood said. ''Have you ever been engaged in certain situations with someone of the opposite sex?''
Wood walked right into the wall next to the door. Shocked, he replied, "Well, that's sorta personal, don't you think?" Wood smiled, "What, you want to make a move on someone?" Wood's expression changed suddenly and drastically, "Not Lieutenant Miller, right?"
''Lieutenant Miller? I did not know of your relationship, but no. I would just like to experience such a thing,'' Thirteen explained. "Well, uhh... I believe the databanks contain certain... interesting holoprograms. But you might want to try and hit on someone..." Wood said insecurely.
''Hit on someone? I do not see how an act of violence could get one involved with someone else,'' Thirteen said. "To hit on someone, to make a move, to make a pass! Oh come on... Err... it something like... trying to start an intimate relationship, be it physical or or with real love involved."
''That would be an interesting experience, can you tell me how I can persuade someone to have a physical relationship with me?'' Thirteen asked. "Oh god, I'm not the best of casanova's... Err.. try to be interested, impress her... or him." ''Him? Are you a homosexual?'' Thirteen asked.
"I am not, sorry. But perhaps you are?" Wood asked. ''I cannot tell untill I have experienced an encouter with both sexes, however I have the idea that someone of the opposite sex would be more interesting. Can you tell me how I could impress someone?'' The two officers now took the corner and walked towards the turbolift at the end of the hallway.
"Be funny, tell interesting stories... I don't know. Just follow your gut feeling, basically..." ''Can you give me an example? I find it hard to imagine the process of hitting on someone,'' Thirteen explained. "Watch romantic movies. They might give you a few ideas."
''How did you get involved with lieutenant Miller?'' Thirteen asked. "Well, err.. " Wood laughed shyly, "I haven't actually.. yet. Like I said, I'm not a casanova."
''Will there be people attending the party who I could try to 'hit on'?'' "Well, I guess any single would do. Just look around and see who you like."
''How do you know if you like someone? Of course I am on friendly terms with the crew, but ought 'hitting on' someone not bet on someone special?'' The turbolift came to a halt. "Yes, of course it does. Just follow your gut, I know you have one." Wood jokingly poked into Thirteen's stomach area.
''My gut can imply whether or not I need nutrition, not who I would feel attracted to,'' Thirteen explained. "It's a metaphore for your instinct, subconscious thoughts, and believe me, if you like someone, you'll feel your gut." ''In that case I will try and feel,'' Thirteen said.
Wood nodded and entered the holodeck. Thirteen followed and went in to greet his fellow officers, and feel if his gut would indeed imply attraction.

Buster had left sickbay, leaving KezTrek sleeping. She slept a lot, as that was the best way for her to get cured besides medicine. KezTrek was indeed getting better, but alas, letting her go to Luke's party wasn't really acceptable yet. Especially with all the foods. She needed to take it calmly and not eat a lot.
But that didn't mean Buster couldn't go! And so, Buster was in his quarters, preparing for the evening. He was quietly humming a song. A chance to finally be a little more social towards the crew was very welcome. Sometimes it tended to get a little lonely in sickbay, even with the patients (who were mostly busy sleeping or escaping anyway), and the occasional visit.
Buster changed his clothes. He never liked the suits. It was way to formal for him. Buster was at his best when he just wore something comfortable, and it wasn't very uncommon for him to even wear a cap or shirt in sickbay, even though it was highly frowned upon. But it would be a suit tonight. He couldn't just stumble in with a loose T-shirt while everyone else wore something stylish and appropriate.
Buster didn't go to party's often, and he had a habit of making a fool of himself if he did. It wasn't uncommon for him to stumble into a cake or step on someone's feet. He felt so clumsy at times. But not tonight! He wanted to make this a fun evening, without constantly minding what he was doing and constantly on high alert for any obstacles on the floor.
Buster had finished putting his new outfit on. He left his quarters and hoped for a fun evening.

Despite having been extremely busy with work and other studies, J'Leera heard about the dinner and planned on going. She wasn't sure if the dinner was formal or not, but she had been told that it wasn't.
She had a simple maroon dress that she felt would be good. It was nice enough for a formal dinner, but also simple enough to be considered casual. She liked the dress though and enjoyed wearing it because of the few opportunities that she had to wear it.
After she finished her hair and putting on a little makeup, she went out of her corridors and began heading towards the holodeck.

Luke left the dining room to put on his dinner jacket and change his shirt. He was going to wear it open collar but he figured that he had been cooking in the other shirt o he better change.
A few people had already arrived, mostly technicians Luke knew from Astrometrics. None of the senior crew had arrived yet but Luke was sure they would come.
He slipped on the jacket and casually brushed off some fluff from the left shoulder. He looked in the mirror - ruffled his hair slightly and then walked back into the dining area.
"Luke!" Someone called.
Luke turned round surprised. "Max? What are you doing out of sickbay?"
"Oh yeah, like I'm going to stay in there for ever. Buster left to change for tonight so I slipped out. Is he coming tonight?"
"Yes." Luke said smiling.
"Oh well." Max stated in a matter of fact tone. "Should be interesting!" He walked off to go and talk to a very attractive Ensign.
Luke was sure he heard 'hero' mentioned. He smiled. Good old Max. Always trying to win the ladies over.
Luke's father and Giga were both talking to Jeret Lasel. His father and Jeret had met briefly before. It was thanks to the Cardassian officer that Luke's mother was alive.
The doors hissed open and Thirteen and Wood entered. Luke walked over to greet them. Signalling for the drinks holo-waiter to come over.
"Gentlemen. Good evening!" Luke said cheerfully. "How are you both? Can I offer you some champagne?" Luke asked taking two glasses off of the tray.

''Good evening mister Dowding, I am functioning properly, however, I am not familiar with the offered beverage,'' Thirteen spoke.
''Hey call me Luke,'' Luke said smiling, ''champagne is just something you've got to try Thirteen.''
Indifferently Thirteen accepted the glass Luke presented him, and took a sip.
''It is carbonated,'' Thirteen notified, ''the taste is somewhat... exclusive, I think I like it.''
''Good, now as you see most of the senior staff haven't arrived yet, but do enjoy yourselves,'' Luke said, walking off to welcome an enterring guest.
Thirteen looked around while Wood walked into the direction Thirteen thought he'd spotted ensign Miller.
The doors off the holodeck opened. Thirteen saw commander J'Leera enter, and Luke making his move for her.
Thirteen wondered if Luke's gut was playing up at the moment.
Apparently J'Leera excused herself, and Thirteen lost sight of Luke in the crowd.
A bit unsure of what to do, but remembering what Wood said, Thirteen made his approach. He straightened the collar of his tuxedo, and walked over to her.
''Good evening miss Laika,'' Thirteen said at his politest tone. ''Hi Thirteen,'' J'Leera said cheerfully.
''Might I offer you a refreshment?'' Thirteen asked. J'Leera smiled at Thirteen's advances. ''Thanks, but Luke just got me one,'' she said pointing at the glass of champagne in her hand.
''I register that you are wearing beautiful garment,'' Thirteen tried to compliment.
''Thanks, I think that tux looks real sexy on you,'' J'Leera winked. ''Sexy?'' Thirteen asked not being able to link the process of mating to a piece of garment.
''It means you look good in it,'' J'Leera said, barely able not to laugh.
''Thank you,'' Thirteen said. ''Commander, be honest, could you evaluate my 'hitting on you'? Was I succesful?''
''I felt very flattered,'' J'Leera winked, ''I'll see you at dinner.''
She walked off, and Thirteen went to find commander Wood. ''Commander,'' he said tapping Wood on the shoulder, just as he was about to make his advance on ensign Miller.
''Commander Laika informed me that she was 'flattered' by my advance,'' Thirteen said, ''does that mean I was succesful?''
''Yeah, yeah, you did good,'' Wood said absently, trying to keep track of ensign Miller.
I did good, Thirteen processed. He walked off to find Luke and request another glass of champagne.

Buster walked through the doors and entered the holodeck. It seemed the party had already begun, and a lot of familiar faces were already enjoying a drink. He didn't notice Luke anywhere yet, but Buster reckoned he'd run into him later anyway. Buster walked towards Wood and Thirteen.
"Heya Thirteen" Buster said.
"Good evening, mister Buster" Thirteen responded, showing a lack of emotion as usual.
"I reckon you are back to your normal self? You shouldn't slip out of the sickb..." Buster said, but was interrupted by Wood, who gave him a friendly push.
"Try to have fun Buster, it isn't all about sickbay. Besides, Thirteen seems to be fine", Wood said.
Buster nodded. "You are right, I was just thinking the same thing earlier. Sorry Thirteen".
Thirteen looked at Buster in a puzzled way, but gave a slight nod. Apperently he hadn't understood why Buster apologised.
"So, what's on the menu?" Buster asked.
Wood was about to respond when Buster suddenly noticed someone quite familiar somewhere in the corner of the holodeck. Apparently the person had noticed Buster too, because he quickly ducked and hid behind a female Ensign.
"Excuse me for a moment" Buster said to Wood, and walked off.
He had noticed Max, and Max was supposed to be in sickbay. Buster neared the woman Max was hiding behind. She shuffled uncomfortably, obviously not happy with the both fact that she was used as cover, and that she wasn't very useful for it. Buster recognised her of course, as she too had been to the sickbay before.
"Good day, miss Athow", Buster said to the Ensign.
"Hello doctor" She responded, with a faint smile on her lips. She waited a while to see if Buster would say something else, then rolled her eyes. "I think It's time for another drink". She walked off, leaving Max crouched on the floor, looking up at Buster with a big smile, knowing he'd been caught.
"Well well, mister Bower. Fancy meeting you here" Buster said. "Having fun?"
Max got up and grinned. "Eh yeah.. I... I was..."
Buster patted Max on the shoulder and finished Max' sentence. "... enjoying yourself".
Buster walked off again, leaving Max totally confused. He looked around for miss Athow. It was time to get a drink himself...

J'Leera entered the holodeck and was immediatly greeted by Luke who offered her a drink. She thanked him and began to wander around the room that had been created for the occasion. Several other crewmembers were already there, some that she knew and others that she did not, but she did notice Thirteen for he was walking toward her. He seemed to be focused on something important and she wondered what it was. ''Good evening miss Laika,'' Thirteen said at his politest tone. ''Hi Thirteen,'' J'Leera said cheerfully. ''Might I offer you a refreshment?'' Thirteen asked. J'Leera smiled at Thirteen's advances. ' 'Thanks, but Luke just got me one,'' she said pointing at the glass of champagne in her hand. He looked at her with a puzzled look on his face. J'Leera could only imagine what he had been thinking. ''It means you look good in it.'' ''Thank you,'' Thirteen said. ''Commander, be honest, could you evaluate my 'hitting on you'? Was I succesful?'' ''I felt very flattered,'' J'Leera winked, ''I'll see you at dinner.'' With that she turned and headed over to talk to Luke still laughing over what Thirteen had said. Poor Thirteen! He tries so hard to be human and yet it's so funny! She continued on over to Luke, mostly curious about Giga. She had not really had the opportunity to meet him and she was hoping that she could. "Luke are you busy at the moment?" she asked. Tag: Luke

OFF. I'm very sorry to hear that, Rye. You have my symphaties. Don't rush it, but take your time. ON: Finally, after subtly maneuvering into her neighbourhood, Wood managed to get Miller's attention. And it was good, he managed to pull out the funny guy version of Wood, and she repeatedly laughed at John's pathetic attempts at humour. "And then the man said, I'm not a Ferengi." With a wink and a smile, Wood told the punchline of a very old, lame joke, but it worked. Miller cuddled closer and closer to Wood, since they were sitting on some sort of sofa-ish thing, and they started talking. Then, Wood had collected enough courage to ask her out. "Julia..." But he saw something moving close to him out of the corner of his eye. "Thirteen, get lost." John hissed towards the observing Thirteen. "How would it be possible to move myself into unfamiliar surroundings on a starship, sir?" "I don't know, just.. shoo." "Shoe?" Thirteen looked down. "What is wr..." Miller interrupted, "I think he means he wants you to stop observing us, Thirteen." She smiled, "What were you doing anyway?" "I was merely observing the process called 'hitting upon someone', Lieutenant." "Thank you," Wood sighed, why did Thirteen spoil that and ruin his subtelty? "You are welcome, Commander." Thirteen replied confused. Miller turned towards Wood. "Don't worry, I would love to go out with you, John." She kissed his cheek, stood up, greeted Thirteen and walked away, leaving a stunned Wood. "Now you made her go away, you.." "Commander, I believe you were succesful. I do not understand the anger." "You're right, I suppose. Now..." Wood looked at his pocket watch. "Isn't it time for food?"

After Luke had given Thirteen another glass of champagne he signalled for his father to come over.
"Could you please tell the kitchen staff that I wish the meal to be served in 20 minutes?"
"Of course, but don't you think that the soup would do better with another 25 minutes." His father saw Luke's face. "Or not... I'll tell them straight away."
"Thanks." Luke said smiling, walking away, taking a sip of his champagne.
"Luke!"
"Yes Max." He replied without turning round.
"Come over here!"
Luke sighed and walked over. "Yes?!" He said, slightly frustrated.
"I think Lt. Buster is watching me." He said nervously.
Luke laughed and slapped Max heartily on the back.
"Well you did run out of sickbay. Buster gets really impatient with people like you." Luke said wickedly. Of course he was sure Buster would have no problem with Buster being out of Sickbay - as long as he took it easy...
Luke turned round.
"J'Leera! Of course not! How are you?"

"I'm doing very well," she replied to Luke's question. "I love what you've done here," she pointed around, meaning the holodeck program that had been selected. "It's very nice."

"I know that I've been busy recently and have not had much time to speak to you, but I'm curious about Giga. I have not had the opportunity to meet him. I know that he is a science officer and I would certainly like to get to know him if he's to be working with me. Unless of course, if you haven't finished your preparations yet. I could wait until later."
Tag: Luke
"Thank you, I would like that," she smiled. "Oh, and Luke?"
"Yes?" he turned around.
"Relax," she said, noticing that he seemed a little stressed. "This is supposed to be an enjoyable event. There's no need to worry so much. Everything will be prepared in time and I'm certain that the food will be delicious."

*Sickbay*
KezTrek woke up feeling nauseous, she was aware she was in sickbay, but not really how long she'd been there.
She looked around trying to hold the nausea at bay.
"Kez… hey sleepy." Daniel was beside her on a chair. (Note: for anyone not yet aware, Lt Cmdr Daniel O'Neill is my NPC husband).
"Hey… how long have I been here?"
"A while, you've been pretty sick, how you feeling now?"
"A while… that’s a conductive answer… I'm fine… little nauseous. Where's Paul?" KezTrek asked.
"Holo-nanny." Daniel told her.
KezTrek nodded. "Where is the doctor?"
"Dinner party, Lt Cmdr Dowding's Father is aboard." Daniel told her.
"Oh… you think he'd let me go back to my own room?" KezTrek asked.
"I wouldn't bet on it love, you still need to rest, this is the most lucid you've been in a while."
"Daniel… I don't rest well. If I've stayed here this long it's only because I was half unconscious."
"We'll ask the doctor in the morning." Daniel promised.
KezTrek was quite ready to argue, but she let it slid and settled instead for asking what had been going on in her absence.
KezTrek listened to Daniel explain about Alaska, and the others, and Felix and Tiffani departing.
"What? And my senior staff are having a dinner party? When we have a potentially hostile group on board."
"They are under surveillance Kez calm down." Daniel said.
"I will not, get my uniform."
"Kez your not well enough to be getting up."
"Which is why your gonna help me." KezTrek insisted.
"No."
"Daniel, don't argue with…" KezTrek sentence was interrupted as she threw up, making a nice mess on sickbays floor.
"Oh that was pleasant. Yes Kez you're perfectly fine to get up and about."
KezTrek glared at Daniel.
"Fine. Call the Doctor, he can give me something for the nausea."
"Kez…"
"Daniel…"
Daniel sighed and rolled his eyes, he knew he wasn't winning this argument, now that KezTrek was lucid, she wouldn't be kept down.
"Okay. Lt Cmdr O'Neill to Doctor Buster. I'm sorry to interrupt your fun Doctor, but Admiral KezTrek is awake and asking for you." Daniel explained.
<tag buster>
"Thank-you Doctor."
"There you happy now?"
"Ecstatic I'm sure." KezTrek said dryly.
Doctor Buster arrived a few minutes later.
"About time." KezTrek grouched.
<tag buster>
"Yeah well a little food poisoning never killed no one Doctor." KezTrek said.
<tag buster>
"So can I get out of here now?" KezTrek asked, completely ignoring Buster.
<tag buster>
"Fine, fine. KezTrek agreed.
<tag buster>
"Good, now if I can just have my uniform…"
Buster nodded and handed over her uniform, leaving her to change.
KezTrek was sure that if he hadn't known it before, he was now more than aware that she was a bad patient.
"Daniel, I'm going to go to my ready room, catch up on reports, I'll see you later." KezTrek told her husband.
Daniel shook his head. If nothing else could ever be said about his wife, she wasn't easily kept down.
*Captain's Ready Room*
KezTrek had gone to her ready room via the bridge, receiving a few looks as she went, but no one said anything. There were a stack of pads on the desk, but KezTrek ignored most of them, in favour of the reports from the Away team that had gone down to the planet.
"Admiral KezTrek to Lt Cmdr Thirteen, Marine Captain Löhnen, and Lt Cmdr Dowding please report to the Captain's ready room.
<tag: thirteen, Danny, Luke>
If either officer was surprised by the call neither sounded it as they replied to her comm.
KezTrek waited patiently, reading through another few pages of the reports as she waited for the officers to appear...

OFF...Sorry for not posting lately, my uncle passed away, and theres been a great deal of hastle. I'll post ASAP, probably tomorrow, or the day after, again sorry. I'll delete this when I put my post up Danny...don't worry... Off: Whoa, sorry to hear that Rye. My condoleances. I've only read this just now. Take the time you need and remember, Real Life always has precedence over the sim. See you when you get back!
On:
Danny was late. After Tiffani had left, he had tried to get Alaska to speak again, but with little result. Oh, she spoke all right, but what she said wasn't really something to report to anyone else. Let's just say she didn't particularly like Danny and she showed it every chance she got. Danny had just come out of the Brig after another twenty minute session with the stubborn girl. He was already running late and still had to take a shower.
In his quarters, Danny quickly turned on the shower and the hot water started running. He had speciffically asked Rye to help him install these real showers, since he mistrusted sonic sound waves cleaning your body. Nope, just give me a real shower! After a quick shower Dany got ready for the party on the holodeck. He hadn't yet had a chance to meet Lieutenant Giga and he was looking forward to it.
Danny was just choking himself with his tie when the call came.
"Now what!" Danny exclaimed angrily. "Of all the times she had to pick, why NOW!" He took a deep breath and tapped his comm badge, not letting any annoyance getting in the way of answering his superior civilly.
=^=Löhnen to KezTrek, acknowledged Admiral. Let me get a clean uniform and I'm on my way=^=
Ten minutes later, Danny entered the Bridge, crisp and clean in a new uniform. He looked around but the Admiral was not on the Bridge. He chimed the bell of the Ready Room and heard a voice from inside, "enter." The doors slid open and Danny entered. Admiral KezTrek was behind her desk. Danny snapped to attention and nodded at her. "Good to see you fully functioning again Admiral." <TAG: KezTrek, Dowding, Thirteen>
Btw, sorry for not posting for a while. It's been kind of hell with my studies lately. Not that I dislike it, but university keeps me rather busy. I'll try to keep up from now on.

Buster noticed miss Athow, and walked towards her.
"Hey again doctor", she said.
"Hello, I was looking for the drinks" Buster responded.
"They are right here" Athow said, and nodded to the huge assortment of drinks that was placed on a table.
"Oh, right.. How could I have overlooked that?" Buster said, and smiled. He took a small glass from the table and looked through the drinks for something he liked. He wasn't sure if he was ready for anything alcoholic yet. It was still early.
Suddenly his combadge beeped and Buster fumbled his glass.
=V= Lt Cmdr O'Neill to Doctor Buster. I'm sorry to interrupt your fun Doctor, but Admiral KezTrek is awake and asking for you. =V=
"Ack ack!" Buster said, dancing around in the broken glass on the ground. Finally he responded.
"Buster here. I'll be on my way.. just a moment". Buster looked at the ground guiltily, glass was all over the place and miss Athow looked at him in a strange way.
"Thank-you Doctor", was the response, and the comm-connection closed.
Buster sighed. "I'll just... clean this up?"
He began picking up the big pieces from the ground, and put them on the table. After a piece or 4, miss Athow pushed Buster away. "I'll clean it up, you just hurry off to Sickbay".
"Thanks" Buster said, and ran off.
________________________________
A short while later Buster entered the sickbay, still dressed in his party suit.
"About time." KezTrek grouched.
"I... had some delay" Buster said. Then he took a good look at KezTrek. "You look better I must say".
"Yeah well a little food poisoning never killed no one Doctor." KezTrek said.
"True" Buster responded. When he noticed what Keztrek had done to the floor, he added: "Though it certainly looks unpleasant".
"So can I get out of here now?" KezTrek asked, completely ignoring Buster.
"Ehm, well... If you insist. But I'd suggest you'll just go to your quarters and not pressurize yourself too much in any way. I'd advice you not to walk around too much as well". Buster said.
"Fine, fine. KezTrek agreed.
"Here are some tablets" Buster added. "Not as effective as a hypo spray, but they might just keep you from throwing up".
"Good, now if I can just have my uniform…" Keztrek said.
Buster nodded and handed over her uniform, leaving her to change. He walked to his desk and reported KezTrek's leaving in his log.
When he returned, KezTrek and Daniel had already left sickbay. Buster sighed. It was always the same. Patients trying to escape sickbay, and Buster just wanting the best for them.
He looked around. Now really everyone had left sickbay. All that were left were Buster and the puddle on the ground. Buster cleaned it up. Now just Buster remained.
"Back to the party then?" Buster thought. If it wasn't over by now...
Oh well, in sickbay there wasn't a lot to do anyway. And so Buster wandered back to see if the party was still in progress...

"Good to see you fully functioning again Admiral." Danny said as he entered the ready room.
"Thank-you Mr Löhnen. Please take a seat, the others should be here in a moment." KezTrek told him.
KezTrek felt like she'd called children to the principal's office, when all three men had arrived, and sat looking at her.
"I've just been reading over these few reports and…"
"Doctor Buster to Admiral KezTrek."
"Yes Doctor?" KezTrek asked tapping her combadge impatiently.
"Your not in your quarters resting Admiral."
"No Doctor I'm not." KezTrek agreed.
"Very well Admiral, but come by and see me in the morning so I can give you another check up." Buster requested.
"If I have time Doctor." KezTrek told him closing the channel before he had chance to argue with her.
"Guess I got busted." KezTrek said turning her attention back to the men in front of her who laughed a little.
"Well… what do we know about our guest? I've read a little in these reports, but Starfleet command swears they know nothing about any of our ships being attacked in this sector since the end of the Dominion War." KezTrek said, having taken the brief liberty of checking with Command while waiting for the officers to arrive.
"Well Admiral we don't know much but…" Danny started to explain what they did know.
"Very well. Any particular reason this woman is being kept in quarters instead of the brig?"
"Councellor Savali suggested it before she left Admiral." Luke said. He didn't seem pleased.
"Okay. I want another away team sent down first thing in the morning.. I want to know exactly what they were doing in those caves, if there are any of them left, stun them and bring them back here, don't kill them if you don't have to." KezTrek warned.
"See if they have any sort of logs, I want to know what sort of contact they've had with the locals as well. Luke, I'd like you to keep away from our guests, I understand why you want to be involved in the interrogation but you're too close to the subject, you can return with the away team." KezTrek noticed Luke's irritation but to his credit he didn't argue.
"Thirteen I'd like you to stay on board to interrogate Alaska's people. I will talk to her. Danny your to head up the away team. Take Luke here, and Commander Laika, and any security you feel is warranted. You'll transport down just outside the caves, we'll be able to make sure the area is clear first using sensors. Remember don't kill anyone, and try and keep out of the way of the locals. The away team will beam down at 0830 ship standard time."
Orders given KezTrek dismissed the men. She was sure they thought she was a little crazy, she'd barely been onboard five minutes before she'd been smitten with food poisoning of all things, and she'd barely been out of sickbay five minutes before she was up giving orders, but she'd never been one for procrastination, and something about this whole business had set her on edge the second she'd heard about it.

"Thanks. Its a restaurant from 21st century Earth. Its in London I believe, my father often talks about it so I thought it would calm him down a bit if he had familiar surroundings." Luke replied.
"Of course! After dinner Ill make sure you too can have a chat. It would be good for him to meet more people, but ont be offended by his abrasive manner, he doesn't really know better. If you get what I mean."
Luke smiled and nodded. He was glad that he and J'Leera had the open honest kind of friendship. Everyone needs someone they can talk too, or they'd go insane.
"Thanks J'Leera." Luke said. "It should be nearly ready... In fact..."
Luke noticed the holo-waiters shuffle out of the kitchen.
He moved to the staging at the front of the holo-restaurant and rang a small bell on the wall.
"Ladies and Gentlemen." He said. "Thank you all for coming. Dinner is served!" He smiled and gestured for everyone to take a seat.
Giga and his Father sat either side of Luke, and J'Leera sat opposite. Max edged his way over and flirted outrageously with J'Leera before he sat down.
Luke was just about to say something about it when his comm badge chirped.
Luke frowned, he was hungry.
"Aknowledged Admiral. I'll be right up."
"Excuse me everyone. I do apologise." Luke said, getting up from the table.
"Must you leave?" His father asked.
"Yes." Luke said simply. "My commanding officer is requesting my presence in her ready room. I will see you all later."
Before leaving Luke madse sure that Giga had been introduced to J'Leera, she seemed very keen to meet the android, she was such a scientist...
He stepped into the ante-chamber and quickly changed into a uniform he had brought with him - just in case.
Luke made his way up to the bridge and saw that it was practically empty. Everyone was at the party he was missing.
He pressed the door chime and entered when told.
"Admiral!" Luke said, standing smarly to attention. "Good to see you well again. I trust you are findign everything in order?"
Luke took a seat.
Luke frowned again, at this rate he would be wrinkled before his time.
"Councellor Savali suggested it before she left Admiral." Luke said. He was sure his displeasure was showing.
Luke bit his tongue. Admiral KezTrek was his superior officer. It would do no good to argue, especially for his career. He didnt want to stay and Lieutenant Commander CNO for ever.
He was pleased, however, that he was permitted to go on the away mission.
After being dismissed Luke headed back down to holodeck 2, he might even get on for the second course...
A thought stuck him before entering the turbolift he turned back round and chimed on the ready room again. He was allowed to enter.
"Admiral, would you like to join us in Holodeck 2? The crew is having a get together." Luke asked.

KezTrek seemed to consider Luke's offer for a moment.
"I imagine I might, your father is aboard as well I understand, I'd be interested to meet him. I'll join you all shortly, I just want to finish one or two things up first." KezTrek told him, dismissing him again.
She normally would have said no, given the fact that they had 'guests' in their brig, but security was watching them, and she was interested to get to know her crew on a more personnel level.
A few minutes later she gave up on working, and headed for her quarters to change, and see if Daniel wanted to join her. Daniel smiled, but declined.
"I'm sure there will be other little parties we can attend together, but I think you should fly this one solo, give you chance to acquaint yourself better with the crew."
KezTrek nodded, and gave him a kiss, taking a moment to check in on Paul as well. He was getting so big, KezTrek gave a moments regret to the fact she had barely seen him in the last year, but shook it off, that’s why she'd taken this posting, part of it anyway.
"I won't be late." KezTrek promised.
*holodeck 2*
"Admiral, welcome." Luke was the first to greet her when she came through the doors.
"Thank-you." KezTrek said, giving the program an appraising glance.
"Admiral. Still not resting I see." Doctor Buster cornered her as well.
"I'm not working either Doctor." KezTrek said, giving him a slight smile.
"I suppose not." Buster agreed, a look that only a Doctor could give on his face… the same look KezTrek had always hated in Doctor's, the one that said… 'behave or I'll make you suffer a FULL physical'.
"I won't be staying long Doctor," KezTrek told him, and even if not entirely satisfied with her answer, Buster let it slide.
"Admiral KezTrek! Well hello, I'm Commandant Dowding!"
"Hello Commandant." KezTrek said, shaking the mans offered hand and wishing she hadn't when he squeezed so hard she was sure if she'd been fully human he'd have broke a few bones.
"I must say Admiral it is a pleasure to meet you. I've met other Admiral's of course, of much higher stature, but it's nice to meet my boys commanding officer."
KezTrek raised an eyebrow at what she was sure had started out to be a compliment before it changed direction.
"Luke is a fine officer." KezTrek said, trying to cover over his statement.
A glance to her left showed Luke looking embarrassed, but in KezTrek's opinion he had no reason to be, one couldn't choose one's own parents.
"Oh I'm sure." Commandant Dowding agreed.
"If you'll excuse me Commandant I need to have a quick word with one of my officers." KezTrek said, making as graceful an exit from his company as possible.
"Cmdr Wood." KezTrek approached her Ops officer.
"Admiral. Good to see you up and about, the Doctor told me you were awake… also something about Admiral's making terrible patients, but I'm sure he can't have meant you." Wood said, hoping his joke didn't fall flat.
"Oh I assure you Cmdr, he most definitely meant me." KezTrek said with a smile.
Wood laughed, and KezTrek took his distraction as a chance to peak over once again to Luke who was still standing by his father, she hoped her exit hadn't caused any waves with Luke's father.
"Well Cmdr, no doubt Mr Löhnen and the others told you already, but I'm sending an away team down again in the morning. I'll be speaking to Alaska, so I'd like you to co-ordinate with the away team from the bridge." KezTrek told him.
"Yes Admiral." Wood nodded.
"I think that’s everything for now, business wise anyway. I really shouldn't stay too long, the Doctor seems to think I should rest, but no reason I can't mingle a little more… after all the Doctor himself is here to keep an eye on me."

OFF: I have no problem with you possting like that Admiral. I think it is good that we all post how we feel comfortable. ON: Luke left the Admiral's ready room. Glad that she might join the crew later. It was important that she felt like she was a part of the crew. After all she was the Captain. He stepped through the holodeck doors and saw his father talking to a civilian. Luke believed she was one of the Xenobiology officers. He took his seat again and smiled at J'Leera who seemed to be engrossed in her conversation with Giga. He was explaining how his positronic net worked. Something that Luke wans't that bothered about so he tucked into the main meal. He was famished. After the meal had finished, everyone sat around chatting with their after-meal drinks and chocolate. Luke was pleased the evening had gone very well. No hiccups at all. The holoeck doors clanged open and Admiral KezTrek stepped through. Luke got up immediately to greet her. Not just because she was his CO but because he was the host. "Admiral, welcome." Luke said. "Thank-you." KezTrek said, giving the program an appraising glance. Buster walked over and the two conversed briefly. Luke heard something about not working... Luke groaned. Why did he have to do this? Luke could feel his face flushing. He tried hard to disguise his embarassment by putting on an air of casual acceptance. Luke was thankful for the Admirals tactful exit. His father got offended quite easily. He made a note to himself to apologise for him tomorrow... The evening carried on well. Max dropped a pile of plates when he was trying to impress an attractive conn officer. Luke laughed audibly. "Laugh it up Luke. I dont see you doing any work!" Max called. Luke smiled mockingly. "The party isnt over yet Max! I'll tidy up when I'm ready!" Giga and J'Leera were still talking. Luke walked over to them and coughed politely. "I hope I am not interutping anything?" Luke asked. The two officers shook theor heads and Luke sat down, taing another glass of champagne from a tray behind him. "Would either of you like another?" Luke asked. <TAG J'Leera> "I do not require fluid of that kind." Giga stated. "Well technically neither do we. It is for enjoyment." Luke said. "I do not require enjoyment." Giga said. "Right... So whta have you two been talking about all evening then?" Luke asked. <TAG J'Leera>

On: After Admiral KezTrek had given the orders that another awayteam be sent, Danny had gone to the Bridge. Socializing would have to wait. He ran several scans of the surface, but there was no trace of any habitation that was not native to the planet. With the prisoners aboard, Danny thought they wouldn't need much Security, but just to be on the safe side, he added three Marines to the awayteam. Working rapidly on a PADD, he made the entries for the members of the awayteam. Team leader/Security: Marine Captain Löhnen. Science: Commander Laika, Commander Dowding. Medical: Commander Doctor Buster. Marines: Gunnery Sergeant O'Connor, Corporal Dawson, Private Downey.
Analysts aboard the Tigershark:
Supervisor: Rear Admiral kezTrek, Commander Wood. Engineering: Commander Fitzpatrick. Security: Commander Thirteen
A thought struck him.
=^=Löhnen to Commander Dowding. I was just thinking, would Lieutenant Giga like to join the awayteam?=^= <TAG: Dowding/Giga>When the final preparations were made, Danny decided to call a meeting. Just in time, he realised that the crew was having a party and he decided the briefing could wait.
=^=Marine Captain Löhnen to Rear Admiral KezTrek, Senior Staff, Sergeant O'Connor, Corporal Dawson, Private Downey, there will be a mission briefing in the Briefing Lounge at 0700 tomorrow morning. Please be there.=^= Briefing Lounge, 0700 hoursAdmiral KezTrek sat at the head of the table. "Good morning all. As you can see I'm fully functional again. You will go on another away team. Marine Captain Löhen will lead the team."
Danny stood up and pointed at the screen. "We will beam down here. It's quite concealed so I don't think our beam down will be noticed, but after recent events, we won't risk any more shuttles. There were some strange readings in the soild and the water, but since we were so rudely disturbed by Alaska and her friends, we haven't had the chance to examine the readings and take samples. That's what we're going to do now. Commander Laika, Doctor Buster, I'd like you to take care of that if that's all right with you. Commander Dowding I suggest we take a closer look at the environment together and try to scan the inhabitants. Doctor Buster can later analyse the scans. The Marines will take care of perimiter defence, although I'm quite convinced that that's only a precaution. Commander Thirteen will monitor our safety from up here and Commander Fitzpatrick can analyse our datastreams and try to record as much images and scans of the planet and its population as possible. Rear Admiral KezTrek and Commander Wood will supervise all our efforts. Any questions?" <TAG: Anyone>"Admiral, did you have anything to add before we go?<TAG: Admiral KezTrek>

The evening drew to a close, with people slowly leaving the Holodeck. Shortly there was only Luke, Giga and Luke's Father left. Luke piled up the plates on the foor, these were the only objects (along with food and drinks, glasses etc) that werent holographic. "Computer save and end program." Luke said. The Dorchester hotel flashed and flickered and was replaced by the bare walls of the Holodeck. The plates stacked neatly in the middle. "Well I must say that was a simply delighful evening, don't you agree Giga?" Luke's father said. "Delightful... No, I am unaware of that particular emotion, nor can I experience it." Commandent Dowding sighed whislt picking up a pile of plates. "Come along Giga, you get the other pile. Luke has done enogh work for one evening. We will see you tomorrow son." Luke smiled. "Thanks Dad, Good night." Commandent Dowding and Giga left, leaving Luke in the room alone. The quiet was slightly unerving after the hustle and the bustle of the evening so Luke quickly left. "Yes, I am sure he would be deligh..." Luke paused. "Delighted." He finished smiling. "I will inform him of the mission specifics." The comm was cut but then reopened again. 0700?! Luke groaned. It was 0100 now. He would have to get up at 0530 to make himself prsentable and to get there in time. "Aknowledged Danny. See you bright and early tomorrow." Luke replied. "Commander Dowding to Giga." =^= Go ahead =^= "You have been invited to join the away team tomorrow. Their will be a briefing at 0700, if you want to join the away team." =^= Aknowledged Commander. I will be there =^= "Good night Giga." The comm cut. Luke smiled, poor Giga. All these pleasantries and emotions must be so confusing for the android. Luke got to his quaters and showered and changed for bed, after half a cup of tea he slipped into the refreshingly cold bed and fell asleep straight away. ******** =^= The time is 0530 The time is 0530 =^= "Aknowledged Computer." Luke mumbled, stumbling out of bed. He showered again, feeling a little grubby and then changed and ate a small breakfast. Not able to stomach all of it. He had eaten rather a lot the night before. He left his quaters for the briefing and knocked for Giga. The doors hissed open immediately. "Commadent Dowding is still asleep." Giga said. "Good." Luke replied. "He wasn't invited anyway." They walked up in silence and entered the briefing room. Danny was already there as well as Admiral KezTrek. The rest of the away team arrived shortly after and the briefing got under way. Danny explained in detail what everyone had to do. Luke was slightly annoyed, he hoped he hid his annoyance well. He didnt want to be scanning the surroundigns again. He needed to find out what the underground base was about. He wanted to be involved. Danny finished. Luke raised his hand slightly and Danny nodded to him. "I was just wondering why it is necessary for both me and Commander Wood to scan the surroundings and the inhabitants." Luke stayed calm, no hint of emotion came across his face or his demeanor. His Starfleet prfessionalism came through. "If It is allowed I would like to investigate and scan the lower chmabers. Try and find out exactly what they were doing down there. See if there are any records." He saw the look of concern on Dannys face and knew what he was thinking. Luke had been kidnapped by these people and so he may be a hazard to the mission if put into a situation like that. "I will take Lt. Giga with me. He is an Android, who has no emotional attachment to me or the location. He will remain logical at all times." "Indeed." Giga said. "It is not in my nature to be illogical." Luke looked at Danny. He hoped that his friend and colleague would give him a chance. <TAG Danny>

Danny was unsure what to say. On the one hand, he wanted to give Luke some peace of mind and allow him to see and investigate the base. On the other hand, he could risk triggering a major set-back in Luke's emotional state as the details of the kidnapping would resurface. Not to mention any hidden boobytraps there might be. Yet, his gut told him the base held some vital clue as to the strange and disturbing readings in the surrounding environment. They needed to know what the hell it was they had been doing down there. The survival of the Tzenkethi might depend on it. Danny took a deep breath and hesitated. He saw the look of apprehension on Luke's face and gave in. "Very well, but I want you to keep an open comm link at all times and if Lieutenant Giga or one of my Marines judge the situation too dangerous or if there are any signs of you getting a setback, I want you out of there in a heartbeat." Luke's face had brightened up at the "All right" but now he looked questioningly at Danny. "Marines?" "Yes Luke. I won't have you go anywhere near that base without Security. Sergeant O'Connor, Private Downey, acompany Commander Dowding and Lieutenant Giga to the base. Any sign of trouble, pull them out immediately." The Marines acknowledged and Danny turned to Luke and Giga. "Luke, Lieutenant Giga, any sign of trouble and you'll return immediately. Are we clear on that?" "As a bell," Luke replied, while Giga looked around to see the bell Luke was talking about.

Luke looked at Danny. His face lit up with appreciation. He frowned at the thought of having a marine body guard but took it as the only way to get back down in those tunnels.
He decided that he wouldnt tell Max about the mission. Luke didn't want him back down there, not after what he had just been through.
Giga leaned across to Luke.
"What bell?" He asked.
Luke smiled, "It's a figure of speach." He whispered back. Giga looked more confused than ever.

Thirteen went back to his quarters when the party was over. After admiring himself one more time in the mirror he took off the tuxedo.
The next morning Thirteen was in the brig at 0400 hours. Their captives didn't seem to enjoy being waken at that unearthly hour, but Thirteen payed no attention.
All Thirteen got out of them was refusal. He decided to leave and monitor the away team, but then he thought of the woman that had been locked inside the quarters.
''Computer open this door, authorisation lieutenant commander Thirteen gamma-omega-3085.'' The door opened, and Thirteen got in.
Alaska lay fast asleep in the bed. ''Computer lights,'' Thirteen said emotionlessly. The lights sprang on, and with them Alaska.
She sat straight up in her bed, giving Thirteen a bewildered look.
''I am here to talk,'' Thirteen notified, ''if you would please take a seat.''
Alaska didn't move. ''Who are you?'' she asked. ''I am lieutenant commander Thirteen.''
Slowly she rose from the bed and went to sit opposite Thirteen in a chair. ''Would you mind getting me some breakfast?'' she asked.
''Can you not do so yourself?'' She looked at him with penetrating eyes. ''I don't have access to the replicator,'' she said.
''Very well, what would you like?'' Thirteen got up and gave Alaska her breakfast, thankfully she began eating.
''Is this another one of your tricks? Where's miss Savali?'' Alaska asked.
''She no longer serves on this ship,'' Thirteen notified. Alaska narrowed her eyes.
''Tell me why you attacked us,'' Thirteen asked. ''You're not human,'' Alaska said. Thirteen gave her funny look. ''That is incorrect, I am a human being.''
'''Am' of 'was'?'' Thirteen didn't get it. Alaska got up, and felt above Thirteen's left eye. ''You had an implant here...''
''Indeed, but it has been taken from me when I was captured by agents from Section 31.''
''Let me see your hand,'' Alaska said raising Thirteen's right hand. ''What age were you when it happend?''
''I cannot recall...'' She looked him in his eyes. ''You are luring me away from our subject, why?'' Thirteen asked. ''It's just that I've never met one of your kind before, ofcourse I've heard stories about cybernetic beings, but I've never encountered one.''
''Cybernetic being? I am not a cybernetic being. I have been part of the Borg collective in the past. As for now I am busy regaining my humanity. As a matter of fact I have even tried 'hitting' on someone succesfully last night.''
Alaska laughed. ''You're funny.'' ''Funny? I do not see how that word is a suitable discription for me.'' ''You'll learn.''
The door of the quarters opened, and KezTrek entered, giving Thirteen a surprised look.
She saw Thirteen with a puzzled look and the imprisonned woman at his feet admiring his right hand.
''Commander what is going on?'' she asked. ''Good morning admiral, I am interrogating miss Alaska,'' Thirteen explained, unaware how odd KezTrek might find the situation.
''So I see, interesting way of interrogation. I thought I told you to interrogate the prisoners, and that I would take care of Alaska?'' KezTrek looked at him.
''You are... correct,'' Thirteen said, sursprised to find that he should indeed not have come to interrogate Alaska.
''My system must be having a glitch, I never forget anything,'' Thirteen said, ''I will see to it that it gets fixed, my apologies admiral.''
''That's okay mistakes happen, now if you'd be so kind as to leave me and Alaska?''
''Ofcourse sir,'' Thirteen said exiting the quarters.
<KezTrek>

The dinner was everything she had expected. No doubt Luke had really gone out of his way to make this dinner especially good. She was very familar with the dishes that were served, but she loved them nonetheless.
As they were being seated, she noticed that Max had come up and sat down next to her. He then started to ramble and she looked at him strangely. When he started to tell a rather corny joke, she couldn't help rolling her eyes a little. First Thirteen, now Max, she shook her head, trying not to laugh.
She noticed that Luke had been watching and looked like he was about to say something when his comm. badge went off. Not long after, Luke exited the holodeck and she did not see him again that evening.
After dinner she went back to her room and picked up the book that she had been reading. She sat down on her couch and opened it to the first chapter. A while ago she had started the Lord of the Rings trilogy and she had just started the final book. So, for the next hour or so she spent reading about hobbits, great cities and important battles.
