Rye was exhausted. He had spent the last 28 hours repairing and refitting the anadyne couplings throughout Deck 5, after a mysterious power surge wiped out half of them, and damaged the rest. Rye returned to his quarters, and enjoyed a short sonic shower. He then sat down on his bed , and almost fell asleep. The Commander then realized that he had to attend Luke's gathering for his father, and an android he had designed. He quickly swapped his towel for a dress uniform, and left for the Holodeck.
He entered the Holodeck to see an old pub-like atmosphere. He saw Luke standing with an older man, whom he presumed to be his father. Rye stepped up to his friend and greeted him.
"Luke! How are ya doing? It feels like weeks since I'd seen you last."
<<TAG LUKE>>
"Mr. Dowding, its a pleasure to meet you sir."
"Well, Mr. Fitzpatrick, likewise. I hear you've done a fine job keeping this ship up at top specs."
"Aye, sir. I do my duty, sir, and I enjoy it."
"That's what I like to hear Commander."
With a handshake, Rye left the commandant, and continued enjoying himself. He ate a mid-size dinner, and had a holo-pint of Bodingtons during the meal. He enjoyed his meal, and spent some time coversing with his shipmates. After a nice night, he left the holodeck, and went for a short checkup on the bridge.
OFF - Very sory for my absence, I'm back to full posting, and everything, but I'm somewhat lost as to what is happening. Oh well....

Previously at the Dinner Party:
Luke was casually chatting to everyone. It was a good time to talk to people he rarely saw. The Tiger Shark was a big ship - he didnt really see anyone outside of his own team and the Bridge crew.
Luke turned when he heard his name called.
"Hello Rye! Glad you could make it. I trust you are well? Oh Rye, this is my Father, Commandent Dowding."
"If you will excuse me gentlemen." Luke said. "There are some people with empty glasses." He smiled and walked off.
The Day of the Away Mission, 0930 Hours:
Luke had left the briefing that morning happy. He may have a Marine attachment assigned to himself and Giga but he could pull rank if necessary....
He stepped into the Transporter room to see Max standing there.
"When were you going to tell me that we are going back down there?" He asked, annoyance clear in his voice.
"I wasn't going to tell you because we aren't going down there." Luke said simply whilst pulling on a holo-suit.
"You are not leaving me up here Luke. I want to get to the bottom of this as much as anybody else." Max replied.
"I am not going to allow you to go down there again!" Luke said, beginning to get angry. "You still havent fully recovered from the last time we were down there and I dont trust your emotional state around this topic. I am sorry Max, I am not taking you down there."
Max nodded. "Very well Sir. I will get to work on something that I am not emotionally unstable around." He said, whilst walking out of the transporter room.
Luke sighed. He knew he had upset Max but Luke was responsible for him. Max would just have to get over it.
Giga entered the Transporter room - Holo-suit already on.
Luke chucked him a phaser. "Here." He said. "Just in case."
"Understood." Giga replied.
The rest of the away team began to file in and put on the holo-suits. When everyone was ready Danny gave a final briefing and they began to transport down.
<TAG Danny (For the final briefing if you want to put one in)>
Luke, Giga and the assigned Marines were the last to transport down.
"Initiate Holo-suits and comms units." Luke ordered.
The suits activated and transport initiated. They appeared on the planet in a hevaily wooded area. Danny and the rest had already panned out. Luke could see J'Leera and Buster scanning an inhabitant who was totally oblivious to what was happining.
"Lets move." Luke said.
They walked for about 10 minutes before arriving at the hole where Max and Luke had fallen down on the previous mission.
Luke prepared to climb down but was stopped by one of the Marines.
"I will go first Sir." He said.
Luke nodded. He didn't want to fall out with the marines, well at least not so early in the mission.
Luke followed then Giga. The remaing marine held up the rear.
"A tracking device was left in that machine shop." Downey said. "So we could find our way back."
"Lead the way then." Luke said.
He nodded and they began the descent through the dark network of tunnels.
"Phasers at the ready." Luke said. "He wasn't taking any chances."

After walking for about 10 minutes the officers arrived at the machine shop. It was the same as when they left.
Luke shuddered, despite the warmth of his holo-suit. It was time to get the data and then just leave.
He headed over to a lit up console, removing a data transfer pack from the side pocket of his holo-suit. He plugged the pack into the port of the console and activated a security bypass to begin the transfer.
A whirring noise from behind Luke made him jump. It sounded like...
"INTERNAL SECURITY!" Luke called. "EVERYBODY DOWN!"
It must have been activated by the security bypass Luke thought, How could I have been so stupid?

The internal security weapons continued to fire.
/\ Commander /\ Giga said through his comm set. /\ I believe I can disable the primary couplings that power these weapons /\
/\ What is the risk to you Giga? /\ Luke asked, his head filled with flashing lights and sound.
/\ None Sir. I can dodge the fire and even if I am hit I will not be permanently damaged /\
Luke nodded. /\ Go... /\ He stopped halfway through the sentence. Private Downey had lept to his feet.
/\ Private, down now! /\ Luke yelled into his comm.
/\ Ive got it Sir /\ The Private said back into the comms device.
Luke sighed. /\ I am giving you a direct order! /\ Luke yelled. /\ Take cover now! /\
Downey ignored Luke. With a sigh Luke jumped up and ran after the rogue Private, he was narrowly missed by when of the weapons. He dodged another shot but was not so lucky the next time and a blow was struck to his back. Luke ignored the pain and rugby tackled the Private to the ground. The pain in his back causing him to see colours.
/\ Lt. Giga! Disable those weapons! /\ Luke called, blinking away the coloured spots. Moments after Luke had spoken the noise stopped.
Giga had succesfully disabled the internal security.
Luke stood shakily to his feet. Hiding his wound from the team.
/\ Get to work again! /\ He said. /\ But triple check everything you access! /\
He groaned in pain but walked oer to the console he had been accessing. The data transfer had continued during the chaos - their security system was not that great then...

/\ Commander, I believe we have all the data we need /\
Luke looked up from the console he had been studying. The pain in his back was getting worse however he did not want to relenquish command of this part of the away team to the Marine Sargeant. He didnt know why, was he just being a stubborn Starfleet officer? Or perhaps he was just concerned for his team mates.
He shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts. He would worry about that later. Right now he needed to get the team up on the surface again.
/\ Understood Sergeant. My data transfer is almost complete. Please contact Mr. Lohnen and tell him of our prsesnt status. Inform him we will be on the surface again in approximately 25 minutes /\
/\ Understood /\ The Sergeant replied.
/\ Lt. Giga, I recieved a text comm a few moments ago, after we have returned to the Tiger Shark you are to take a shuttle and meet with the Raven immediately. I do not think Commander Dixon is pleased about your long absence /\ Luke said to the Android.
/\ Yes Sir. Will Commandent Dowding be travelling with me? /\ Giga asked.
/\ Unlikely /\ Luke said as the data transfer ended and the away team headed for the exit. /\ I believe he is being permanently assigned to an Andorian Starbase in the Beta Quadrant. Something about improving relations. He may well fly with you to Bellicose though /\
The rest of the team wlaked ahead of Luke, who stayed at the back pretending his slow spped was due to him covering their backs. In truth he could barely walk with the pain in his back.
After about 10 minutes Luke was forced to stop and take a breather. The concerned Sergeant came over but Luke insisted he was fine and gave the Sergeant his data pack.
/\ Go ahead and get this back to the Tiger Shark. I want you and Downey to work on this straight away /\
The Sergeant aknowledged, leaving Luke alone with Giga.
/\ It has been good to serve with you Giga /\ Luke said. /\ You will make a fine addition to the crew of the Raven /\
/\ I will perform my duties to the best of my abilities /\ Giga replied, causing Luke to laugh slightly and then flinch with the pain of the wound.
/\ Commander, I am detecting elevated stress and adrenaline levels. Your toxin count is nearly off the chart. I believe you are injured, if my scans are correct by a phaser weapon /\ Giga said.
Luke sighed. /\ Just patch me up the best you can and lets get back to the Tiger Shark /\ Luke said trying to avoid a full conversation about his wound.
Giga expertly bandaged Luke's wound and administered a mild pain killer, both of which he got from the away team med kit.
Much better, he could hardly feel the wound at all now.
/\ I have succesfully seen to your wound Commmander. Dr. Buster will need to examine it further but I am certain no permanent damage has taken place /\
/\ Thank you Giga, now lets leave this place /\
The two officers walked off into the gathering gloom, Luke most definately glad that the exit was almost near.

KezTrek turned to Alaska.
"I don't know what you expect me to tell you, but whatever it is, you won't get it from me." Alaska said.
KezTrek raised one eyebrow slowly.
"I expect you to tell me nothing, so in fact, I'm getting exactly that. Shall we go for a walk?" KezTrek asked the woman.
Alaska looked perplexed, but nodded slowly in consent.
KezTrek took her to the holodeck. Slipping a data chip into the console, she waited for the computer to announce that the program was running before she entered, Alaska a step behind her.
"What is this place?" Alaska asked.
It was a large white house, colonial design, with a large front yard, in which they were currently standing.
"It was my home on earth. Many years ago. My husband and I lived here with our two children. Computer, run sub-program KezTrek Delta 6."
Suddenly the scene altered. The house was in flames, and screams could be heard from inside the building.
"What..."
"The last time I ever heard my children's voices, they were screaming as they burned to death when our home was attacked."
"Why are you showing me this?" Alaska asked.
"I understand pain only too well."
"Your Vulcan, you can't begin to fathom my pain." Alaska hissed.
"I'm half Vulcan, and I admit, I've never been overly fond of that part of me, but it serves me well enough in it's own way, sometimes the ability to repress emotion has it's benefits... though it didn't have much benefit this day. Computer, revert to original program."
The house was back again in it's original state, almost like it hadn't been burning seconds before.
KezTrek led Alaska in side.
"A drink?"
"Water." Alaska said.
KezTrek nodded and ordered a glass water, and a cup of raktajino from the replicater. The den they were in was decorated tastefully, in creams and reds, but it was clearly a house where children lived. There were pictures, toys, things that could only belong to a child.
"You're councellor told you about my son." Alaska stated.
"Yes. But that’s not the only reason why I'm showing you this."
"What's the other reason?" Alaska asked.
"There are families, and children on that planet down there."
"And Starfleet cares about them, please spare me, Starfleet never came for us, why would they care about these people."
"Starfleet never received your distress signal. But lets pretend your right, what good does harming these people do, it doesn't give you your son back."
"Maybe I'll just make me feel better." Alaska said.
"Maybe. Did you enjoy hearing the screams of my children burning to death?" KezTrek asked, her voice remarkably even.
"That's different."
"No, it's not, children are children, every time one dies, their parents are left to pick up the pieces. We have an away team down there, sooner or later we'll figure out what you were doing, help us now."
Alaska almost looked like she was considering the proposal.
"I want to see my people."
"Later. Perhaps." KezTrek said, shutting down the program.
There were two security officers outside the holodeck waiting for them.
"Take our guest back to her room." KezTrek ordered them. KezTrek herself headed for the bridge, to find out what was going on with the away team on the surface.

Rye had very much enjoyed the outing in the Holodeck, and he had managed a good nights sleep following the event. He now sat on the bridge with RA KezTrek, Wood, and Thirteen monitoring all of the away team members. He had wanted to go down on the away mission, however, He would be of more use providing assistance to all of the members, and their tricorder data. He was also using the ship's sensors to monitor each of their locations, and all vital signs. Since the last mission, he had also fitted the cloaking suits with multiple video camera units, which transmitted up to the ship. this allowed the ship to see what the away team saw.
He was currently watch Luke and Giga traverse the depths of the caves in which Luke was held captive, along with Lt. Bower. Rye had given Luke multiple signal boosters to drop along the floor of the cave to keep communications open. Rye watched as Luke entered the main cavern where Rye and Danny had assaulted the cultists, and rescued Luke. Rye saw several computer terminals along one wall.
(=/\=)"Fitzpatrick to Dowding. Please go to the computer consoles along the north wall."
"No problem Rye, I'm on my way."
"Could you set up your tricorder to initialize an interface with the computers?
"It'll be done momentarily."
Rye watched one of the computer consoles as the tricorder connection was established. He navigated his way through the computer entries until he found the personal databases of the cultists. He entered Alaska's, and began a download of her entries. He repeated the procedure with the other member's. He now checked to see if there were any mission logs. As he did this, he checked the status of Luke.
"Luke, how are you doing down there?"
color=red]"Not too bad. I found a few depleted power packs, and a map on one of the other computers. It looks like they've mapped out most of the sub-terrainian routes. I'll forward the files onto you."[/color]
"Much appreciated, Luke. Fitzpatrick out."(=/\=)
Rye closed the channel, and he continued to sort through the dat being provided by the cultist network. He also received the file download from Luke and realyed the map information to all of the away team's HUDs.

Luke and Giga reached the entrance of the cave, and Luke paused to lean against the wall before clambering up the side with the help of Giga.
He took a deep breath through the air filters in his holo-suit when he reached the top, allowing his lungs to tak in the clean air.
"We must get you to a safe location." Giga said. "Your holo-suit is malfunctioning due to the weapons fire."
Luke nodded and allowed Giga to help him to a clump of woods.
Luke tapped his comm badge.
"Dowding to Rye, I need a shuttle down here as soon as possible. I have a minor back wound and I don't want to transport... just in case."
The last time Luke had a relatively serious injury was whilst they were on the Mirror TS and he found himself wounded in the leg. He had then be transported causing the leg to become infected.
<TAG Rye>
"Aknowledged, thanks Rye." Luke answered.
"Dowding to Laika and Lohnen. Whats your status?"

After recieving J'Leera and Danny's status report Giga left the clearing to signal to the shuttle where they were.
Commander Laika and Marine Captain Lohnen had decided to stay on the planet a little longer along with the rest of the away team including Lt. Buster. Private Downey accomapnied Luke and Giga back to the Tiger Shark whilst the Sergeant stayed on the pl,anet to assist the rest of the team. Luke imagined that they would not be down on the planet for much longer. He hoped that they would gather all the information they needed.
The shuttle left the planets atmosphere and gracefully glided through the void of space, the pilot, a young trill female, seemed a little nervous.
"Are you ok Lt?" Luke asked.
"What... Oh yes, Im fine thank you Sir!" She replied.
Luke smiled. "Well if your sure." He said, trying to sound friendly and not at all intimadating. Maybe she was a little shocked by Giga, who was quite happily analysing the information they had gathered from the undeground complex.
The Lt requested landing permission and the shuttle flew into the bay and landed with a soft bump.
The officers left the shuttle and Giga gave a copy of the information gathered to the Private who went off and began to analyse it.
Luke took the original copy of the information and tapped his comm badge.
"Dowding to RA KezTrek. I have returned from the planet. I need to briefly visit the Sickbay, however I think it would be wise if we met up and reviewed the information myself and Giga have gathered."
<TAG KezTrek>
"Aknowledged Admiral. Lt. Giga will not be able to attend the meeting as he is due to report in on the Raven. That means my father and Lt. Giga will be leaving the Tiger Shark within the hour." Luke replied, he hoped without too much relief in his voice.
<TAG KezTrek>
"Understood, I will meet you in your ready room in two hours. Dowding out."
He tapped his comm badge and the link was cut.
"Come along Giga. I must stop off at Sickbay and then get my father ready to leave."
The two of them left the Shuttlebay, Luke hobbling slightly as the pain relief began to wear off.

KezTrek was on the bridge when Luke requested the shuttle. She was a little curious to why he didn't want to transport, but Rye explained it too her. She hadn't heard of any other incidents like that, but they weren't in an immidiate danger, so she saw no problem with sending down the shuttle.
KezTrek was talking quietly with Wood about the readings there sensors were able to get from the surface when her combadge chirped.
"Very well Cmdr, go and see the Doctor, and then we can meet to discuss your findings."
"Very well Cmdr, please give my regards to your father before he leaves, and appoligise that I was unable to see him again before his departure. Meet me in my ready room as soon as you have attended to your wounds, and seen your father off".
"Was it just me or did Luke seem exceedingly relieved with the idea that his father and Lt. Giga were leaving?" KezTrek asked Wood, with a slight smile playing on her features.
Wood just nodded, with a slight smile of his own.
"I'm going to see how Thirteen is faring with our other guests. Keep contact with the remaining away team memebers, and see how much longer they think they are likely to be." KezTrek ordered Wood.

The Sickbay doors hissed open and Luke and Giga walkd into the room. Luke was immediately hustled to one side by a nurse. "Ah, Mr. Dowding. I wondered when I would be seeing you again." She said. "What have we been doing this time?" Luke merely smiled. "Nothing you can't fix Ms. Clarke." She sighed and then laughed. "What about your colleage, does he require medical assitance?" Giga stepped forward. "No. I am an Android." He replied simply. "I think she was joking Lt." Luke said. "Joke? Oh yes, a primitive human method of attempting to lighten the mood or cause the experience of laughter." Luke rolled his eyes and allowed the nurse to continue her work. "There! Good as new!" She said, after a few minutes of work on Luke's back. "It may be a bit sore for a few days however, but its nothing you cant handle." She said smiling. "Thanks Liz! Youre amazing!" Luke said. Ms. Clarke blushed and hurried Luke and Giga on their way. The walk to Lt. Giga's and Commandent Dowding's quaters was filled with silence. Luke was actually glad when they arrived at the door. "Luke! Im glad you came to see us off! Im nearly ready! Just give me a few more minutes!" Those few more minutes turned into half an hour as the Commandent stumbled about his room picking up loose items. Luke managed to go to his quaters, change and then go back again before his father was ready. After much hassle the three officers left the room and headed for Shuttlebay 2. Luke's father explaining his new Ambassadorial role. Luke added occasional 'yes' or 'no's' to the conversation, faking attention. However when it came to say goodbye to his father at the shuttlebay he was surprised to find himself sad that his dad was leaving. "Rear Admiral KezTrek wishes you her best and apologises for not being able to send you off." Luke said, as formaly as he could. "Oh stop being so stuffy Luke and come and give your old man a hug." His father said, opening his arms. They embraced and then Luke broke away. "Now stay in touch young man." His father said as Giga and himself entered the shuttle. "It may be a while until we meet up again!" Giga waved quite woodenly. Luke laughed. His father had probably made the poor android do that. "Let me know how things go on the Raven!" Luke called. "Aknowledged Sir." Luke was just about to tell the Android not to call him Sir when the pre-flight sequences initiated and Luke retreated to the Shuttlebay wall. Leaving the Shuttlebay he realised he had a while until his briefing with the Admiral so he decided he would get the information and head to mess hall where he would sort out a formal report. **** Luke put down the empty coffee cup and stared at the padd he had been writing the report up on. He didn't think he had missed out anything. Picking up the pile of padds he left the mess hall and headed for the Admiral's ready room. As he walked down the corriders of the Tiger Shark he thought about their previous missions commanded by Captain K'Vada and he wondered if the Admiral had settled in alright. In no time at all Luke found himself outside the ready room. He pressed the chime and waited to be called in. <TAG KezTrek>

"Come in." KezTrek called.
She'd been down to see Thirteen, who seemed to be having little luck with Alaska's friends.
"Admiral. Cmdr Wood." Luke greeted noticing the other officer present.
"Luke, have a seat, can I offer you a drink?"

KezTrek walked over to the replicator and placed her order.
"Well Mr. Dowding. What do you have for us?" KezTrek asked.

When Rye received Luke's message, he excused himself from the bridge, and prepped a shuttle for launch. He sped the shuttle towards the planet, and within 10 minutes, had Luke and Giga seated comfortably in the Aft compartment. Rye had taken a quick look with a tricorder to inspect Luke's back, and decided it was safe enough so that there was no emergency. He stealthily piloted the shuttle back up to the Tiger-Shark where several stretcher bearing medics were wait for Luke. Rye walked alongside the medics, and helped them carry Luke onto the biobed.

Luke walked into the ready room and stood to attention. He greeted both Admiral KezTrek and Commander Wood.
Luke smiled and took a seat. She had used his first name signalling this was a very informal meeting.
"I would love a cappaciono, if that is at all possible?" Luke asked.
Luke adjusted the position in his seat and moved the padd so he could read the first bit of information.
"Well. As you are both aware I took a team down to the underground complex to gather information. The information has been gathered effectively with one or two issues that will be filed in my full report."
Luke paused, no one said anything so he continued.
"The data has yet to be fully analysed. Private Downey is working on that. However, the data we do have suggests some shocking finds. The natural inhabitants of this planet have been subjected to many tests and gene splicing. Most shockingly of all with the permission of the Federation. I think it would be prudent to bring the away team back to the Tiger Shark and get their data. Doctor Buster and Commander Laika's information should be of particular interest as they have been scanning the inhabitants. What is yet unclear is why the Federation wanted to subject these people to these outrageous experiments and what part do Alaska and her team play in it."
Luke paused again and took a breath.
"Most worryingly of all is an encrypted file we found down there. It has been encrypted on an Admiral security code. Someone high up in Strarfleet is also working on this. I believe for us to make the next logical step a briefing needs to be called where all data can be pooled together."
Luke finished and waited for either the Admiral or Wood to respond.

*Regeneration cycle complete.* Thirteen's eyes snapped open and revealed his dark quarters. He stood there for several minutes regaining his bearings, trying to process what'd just occurred. The woman he'd seen before had appeared again, only more clearly this time. She had blonde, wavy hair that didn't end until somewhere under her shoulders. Her bright blue eyes'd been fixed on Thirteen, and her lips had been curled into a sweet smile, though she hadn't spoken.
"Computer, lights," Thirteen said, noticing that he found himself sounding distant. He came into motion, yet halted in the middle of the room. He turned around and looked in the direction of the corner. What was that? Thirteen processed. My system is a mess, I had better visit doctor Buster. "Computer, time?" *The time is 0446 hours.* Early enough to pay sickbay a visit before going on duty.
Thirteen walked through the deserted hallways of the Tiger Shark, greeting the sporadic officer on nightshift. He entered sickbay and was greeted by a young ensign. "Sir, can I help you?" he asked kindly. "I would like to have my systems reviewed, I am not properly functioning, and have had a delusional experience during my regeneration," Thirteen explained. The ensign frowned and gave the ex-Borg a surprised look. "To be honest sir, I've never done such a treatment," he said sounding a bit nervous.
"I am sure that lieutenant Buster has kept logs of those treatments, I can show you if that would be assisting," Thirteen said. The ensign nodded, and Thirteen walked to a panel, calling up the logs on the examination he'd had some while ago. "Well, o-okay, I'll just copy lieutenant Buster's moves," the ensign stammered, forcing a smile on his face. Thirteen simply sat down and let the ensign give it a try.
"This is strange," the ensign said, sounding a lot surer of himself. "What have you found?" Thirteen wanted to know. "I've detected traces of a lot of recent activity in your brains, strange thing is that it all happened in the emotional section of the brains, and looking at doctor Buster's report, you're not able to feel emotions." "Are you sure that information is correct?" Thirteen asked. "Yeah, have a look," the ensign pointed at the results of the examination. "You are correct," Thirteen said, "has it been causing the delusion, and the malfunction of my systems?" "I think so," the ensign said, "you'd better let doctor Buster have a look, but I think that your Borg suppression of emotions is blocking them, causing a malfunction because they just need to get out."
Thirteen speculated for a moment, and came to find that the ensign's words didn't sound far from possible. "Thank you ensign, I will contact lieutenant Buster when he is on duty." "Alright, take care," the ensign said, looking at the ex-Borg exiting sickbay.
The turbo lift smoothly brought Thirteen to the bridge. He was still early, but took his place at the security station, where he downloaded the reports from the security officers, and began looking through them. As the hours crept bye, eventually the bridge was filled again with it's dayshift crew. Admiral KezTrek'd greeted Thirteen, and the away mission for the day had commenced, leaving Thirteen aboard the Tiger Shark to follow the away team's status.

Just after Luke uttered those words, a silence fell in the ready room. After all they've been going through with protectionist groups and factions of the Federation, could this be yet another rotten spot in the fruit? "You're dismissed, Commander. See if you can get any information, ID, whatever on this... happening. And keep it under the lid, we don't want any conspiritors on our backs." Wood said, after which he recieved a stunned look from KezTrek. "Err... if the Admiral agrees of course.." Wood smiled insecurely, hoping to settle the Admiral down. She nodded, and Luke walked through the door. As soon as it closed, Wood opened his mouth again. "I err... I think we need to take all the info we can, and then get out of here. There is some dirty business going on on that planet, and seeing as we've dealed with 'rogue' Federation groups before and barely survived... I'm recommending we get out of here, while trying to work on this in the background."
KezTrek pondered over those words, and reached a decision.

"I don't like to back down from a fight Commander. But we have the perpetrators, for now, I don't think there is much more we can do. Recall the away team, and lay in a course for Bellicose. We'll drop our guests off with Starfleet Security there." KezTrek paused for a few minutes. "Gather all logs, sensor records, and every other piece of information that has anything to do with this planet, I want to encrypt it." "Of course Admiral." Wood nodded and left. KezTrek sighed and flipped open the cover on her computer. "Access: Starfleet Intelligence Channel 745.678; Command Code Delta 78 Pi 4; Rear Admiral KezTrek." "Channel Open. Please confirm Intelligence Access Level." The computer said. "Level 12 Access. Confirmation, Zeta Pi 2." "Access granted." "Open secure communication channel, Agent 1789." A shadow appeared on the screen a few minutes later. "KezTrek. What a... pleasant surprise." A male voice said. "Don't waste time on pleasantries, we both know you don't mean them. I have a mission for you." "Admiral, have you forgotten your not working with Starfleet Intelligence anymore." "Would you like me to remind you how much influence I still have?" KezTrek asked coldly. "No Admiral, that won't be necessary." "Tzenketh, someone inside the federation has been carrying out some genetic experiments on the population. I want to know who." "I'll see what I can find out, exactly what do you want me to do with that information?" "I'll contact you again, just find me the information I want, and I don't need to tell you how sensitive this could be..." KezTrek said. "Of course not Admiral, I'll be seeing you." KezTrek cut off the channel, and disconnected herself from the Starfleet Intelligence Security network, getting up and heading for the bridge. "Admiral, the away team have just beamed back aboard." Wood reported. "Set a course for Bellicose; warp 7," KezTrek ordered sitting in her chair. "Engage." As the ship started it's course towards home, KezTrek turned to Wood in the First Officers chair. "Commander, arrange a briefing with the senior staff at 1900," KezTrek told him, taking Wood's not as agreement before turning back to watch the star field in front of them. RA KezTrek Commanding Officer OFF: Okay Boys and Girls, the mission is finished, for now, I have future plans, but for now we're heading back to starbase for a few days of well deserved R&R

Luke left the ready room more than a little confused. Something big was going on here, however neither RA KezTrek nor Commander Wood saw it fit for Luke to know so that was good enough for him.
He decided that he would head for his quarters, shower and change and then maybe get some work in Astrometrics done. He doubted there was much more he could do with the information he had found on the planet.
Just as Luke was stepping out of the turbolift onto the deck where his quarters were located his comm badge chimed.
=^= Private Downey to Commander Dowding =^=
Luke tapped the badge.
"Go ahead Private. What have you got for me?"
=^= This might interest you in particular Commander. There are at leats a dozen starcharts on here. Some of systems I have never seen before =^=
"Ok Private. Meet me in Astrometrics in 15 minutes."
Luke cut the comm and changed direction. The shower would have to wait.

Wood called together the senior staff a few hours later, all of them sitting around the briefing room table.
KezTrek stood at the head of the table, casually leaning against the bulkhead.
"What I am about to say, I'm only going to say once, so listen up. ALL records of anything to do with Tzenketh, sensor logs, personal logs, anything you found on that planet. EVERYTHING, will be turned in to myself and Commander Wood before the end of today. You will not discuss this mission with anyone, not even yourselves. Understood."
"But Captain we found some star charts and..." Luke said.
"Turn them in with everything else Cmdr." KezTrek repeated.
Confused looks were passed among her senior staff. KezTrek waited patiently. They were good people, but this would be the first big test of just how loyal they were to their new Captain. Slowly heads started to nod, and everyone started to agree.
"Good. We're heading back to Bellicose, you'll all have a few days to rest, I'd suggest you use them. Dismissed." KezTrek ordered.
Everyone filtered out except Wood.
"Something wrong Cmdr?" KezTrek asked.
"I know this is necessary, and I know it was mostly my own idea, but I still feel like we're missing something big." Wood said.
KezTrek smiled, "If we understood everything all the time, what would be the point in being out here?" she asked.
Wood looked at her like he wasn't entirely sure she had all her marbles.
"Gather everything to do with Tzenketh, and bring it too me, and when we get to Bellicose take a few days to relax." KezTrek ordered him, proceeding him out of the briefing room and taking her chair.
