CSS Meeting - Minutes
Stardate 2403.2801 - Saturday 28 January 2017
Voting Members Present:
• Section Admiral Gheskori – Section Admiral, Personnel Officer & Trivia Officer
• Fleet Admiral Carl Torek – Site Executive Officer, Ranks Officer
• Admiral (Cdre. Hon.) Savot – Site Second Officer, Fleet CO & Regulations Officer
• Lieutenant Colonel Aeryn Tavik – Fleet Representative
The meeting was called to order by Section Admiral Gheskori at 19:04 GMT.
New Business:
1. Fleet Report
Admiral Savot made the monthly report on the fleet's status. It was noted that there had been a uniform decrease in the activity of the vessels but all in attendance were satisfied that Section 47 could continue to not only exist but progress as a core group of dedicated posters, albeit prepared to embrace new members whenever possible.
• No motion was necessary on this item.
2. TOS Era Vessel Excalibur
With the statement of intent to resign from Commodore Alyana Ryat, the fate of the Excalibur was discussed and the general consensus was a desire to keep the vessel in play at a posting pace dictated by the number of ERA participants at any given time, as it was agreed that maintaining the TOS Era as an arena of rp for interested parties was ideal. It was decided to move the Excalibur’s posting section to a separate board header to indicate that it is unaffected by the imminent event impacting the present-time Section 47 Fleet in story.
• No motion was necessary on this item.
3. Implementation of new Site Mission Statement & Plot
For several months there has been proposed and discussed, a significant shift in the Section 47 storyline to promote re-invigorated creativity from the membership and offer the opportunity to explore new story horizons and previously unimagined plot potential. Having reached an agreed-upon conceptualization for how to begin this shift and the overall outline of implementation, CSS was in full consensus about initiating this story shift at the beginning of March, 2017.
• Ayes: 3, Nays: 0; Motion Passed.
4. Recognition of Commodore Ryat
With the stated intention to resign received from Alyana Ryat, it was proposed by the Section Admiral that the Section recognize her long-time contribution and dedication to the site via special commendation. Commodore Ryat was nominated for the James T. Kirk Shooting Star in recognition of her enduring loyalty to the site and excellence in all fields.
• Ayes: 3, Nays: 0; Motion Passed.
5. Implementation of new Stardate Format
With the coming shift in storyline it was proposed that a new method of numerically recording mission stardates would help distinguish the new era of S47 from the previous one. No vote was yet held on the matter but a number of various options were presented and discussed, with general agreement being arrived at and official voting and implementation to be held next meeting.
• No motion was necessary on this item.
Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned by Section Admiral Gheskori at 21:06 GMT.
