Lianna patted Phantoms head and ran her fingers through his fur as she and Nico chatted.
“That should be fine,” he had said. “He seems to me to be well trained enough that he’s certainly not a nuisance. He even seems to improve the atmosphere of sickbay, especially for children,”
“You really think that the doctor will allow me to have him in sickbay?” Lianna asked again as if not believing the doctor would allow him in there all the time. She asked as they approached and entered the doctors office.
“Hello,” the doctor said. “What can I help you with?”
“Ma’am I was wondering if I could help out in sickbay, my training is limited but I would like to learn.”
“You want to be a medic?” Illito asking, making sure, but delighted with the notion. “Of course. I can train you, if you really want this.”
Lianna smiled at the doctors response. “Thank you ma’am I would like that very much. Would it be possible for Phantom to remain in sickbay when I am here? I need him close if something happens to my sensor net or if there is an emergency.” she asked hoping the doctor said it was ok.
“I can do that. I’ll need to check with Commodore T’Mar, but I can’t see her objecting. It’s not like the art of healing people is limited to Starfleet personnel. After you’re trained, are you going to want to serve a shift in sickbay, or not?”
“I would like to work here, yes.” she smiled slightly glancing at Nico.

"Engineering reports that the engines will be repaired in three hours."
"Deflector control is back on line."
"Weapons at 75% capacity."
"Sensors are operating at 68%."
This news brought a smile to her face. It meant that she would be closer to her goal, it meant that she was closer to her destiny. Sethe stood above the rest of her crew and looked out the ship's viewscreen. She could see the beautiful colors that made up the nebula, but those beautiful colors were the only thing that were stopping her dream.
She knew that at 100% her sensors would barely be able to penatrate the nebula's interference. Her ship was built to destroy, not to study.
"Tell everyone that I want all repairs complete in five hours," Sethe said.
"Sethe, we might not be done in five hours."
"Yes you will or you will be the first person to die, cousin," Sethe said before entering her ready room.
OOC: Scavenger crew, in five hours Sethe is coming after you.

“I would like to work here, yes.” she smiled.
“The day shift, I assume,” Illito said, both because that was the most practical time, and because she had sensed some fondness between Nico and Lianna, and Nico had the day shift. “I’ll check with Commodore T’Mar and tell you when I get permission,” Illito said. “It’s up to you whether you want to stick around; it won’t take me long to ask, or I can contact you over the COM system.”
<Tag Lianna>
Illito nodded, and they left her office, and she tapped her commbadge. =/\=This is Commander Tintagel to Commodore T’Mar=/\=
<Tag T’Mar>
=/\=Lianna, the civilian, would like to be trained as a medic, do I have permission to train her as such?=/\= Illito asked.
<Tag T’Mar>
=/\=Thank you sir. I’m sure she will be happy to hear that.=/\=

Illito smiled, and closed the COM channel. “When do you want to start training?” she asked Lianna.

Katie had been sleeping for almost three hours. In those three hours, Paikea couldn't help but think of what they had gone through the last seven months. Katie had accidentally bumped in him at the Academy and Pai could still clearly remember that her light blue eyes had mesmerized him. There time at the Academy was the best ever, but like all good things it came to an end.
The good times ended because of Paikea's reckless decision. He had put them in danger and he was now paying for it. Paikea knew that Katie had forgiven him, but she was still questioning her role in the universe and it hurt Pai to think that he couldn't help her. She was a great officer who put her soul into her work, something that wasn't very common anymore.
No matter what happened, Paikea would be their for her through this.
"Paikea, I think it would....."Illito started to say before Paikea cut her off.
"I know, Illito, I know," Paikea said as he stood up from where he was sitting. Paikea stood there looking at Katie for a minute and he then softly kissed her on her forehead before leaving sickbay.
"Illito if anything happens...." Paikea said.
"I know, Pai, I will," Illito said as she checked Katie's vitals again.
Pai knew that Katie was in the best of hands, so he didn't feel much remorse leaving her. Paikea headed towards the bridge, knowing that he had a lot of work to still finish.
When he entered the bridge, everyone stopped working. They were all staring at Paikea and he didn't like it at all. Commander Cavit noticed this and told everyone to go back to work. Paikea had reported to Commodore T'Mar an hour after Katie had fallen asleep and she had seemed sincerely pleased, but she had much more on her shoulders than the rest. The Scavenger was almost ready, but their escape plan was no where close.
"Commander, I need you to get those ghost ships up and running," T'Mar said," it might be the only way that we can escape from this place."
"I know, I will not stop working until it’s complete," Paikea said as he sat down at his console and began working.
Paikea was working as if he had never worked before. The looming fate of the ship was now on his shoulders and he had to keep them all safe. The ghost ship was the only thing that could give them enough time to escape towards Rela's destination. He had totally forgotten about that mess, but he had already accepted the fact that he didn't need to know.
"Commodore T'Mar, I have a plan to make sure that our escape is successful," Commander Vissailou said as he gave T'Mar the PADD he had been working on. T'Mar studied it for a moment and her response was more than uplifting.
"Commander, you have a go," T'Mar said," I'm I correct in saying that the explosive is already ready?"
"Correct, all we need is Commander Apirana ghost and we are ready to go," Spiro responded.
"Well I'm happy to say that they are ready, Commander," Paikea said as he finalized his work and sent it to deflector control.
"Commodore, all systems show readiness," Commander Cavit said," we are ready to leave this nebula."
"Okay, contact all departments warn them that this may be a bumpy ride," T'Mar said as she lightly touched her helmsman shoulder. It would take great flying to get them out of this as well.
"Commander, when you are ready," T'Mar said as she sat down. Paikea looked at T'Mar for a second, getting from her the strength that he would need to make this work.
"Here we go," Paikea said as he activated his ghost. It took a couple of seconds, but his sensors told me that they were there. It seemed as five Federation starships were making their way towards the nebula.
"Lt. get us out of here," T'Mar said. The next second the ship sped out of the nebula.
"Ten seconds until we're out of the nebula," Paikea reported.
"Commander can you tell if the ship is out there?" Cavit asked.
"No our sensors can't pick anything up yet," Paikea said," five seconds, four, three, two, were free."
"They have found us they are firing," Spiro reported.
"Brace......" Cavit screamed before the ship rocked almost out of control.
"Commander, how far are they?" Spiro asked needing the Sethe's ship to be at least 50,000 km away from them.
"85,000, 75,000, their firing," Paikea reported. If it wasn't for the great flying of their pilot the Scavenger would of certainly of been dead in the water. "55,000."
"Commander do it now," T'Mar ordered and Spiro acted immediately. The Scavenger wasn't able to watch the explosion as T'Mar ordered the ship to warp immediately. The shock wave was immense and was closing up on the ship, but luckily for them it dissipated shortly before it reached them.
"Stand down red alert, stations report," Commodore T'Mar ordered.
"Weapons are functional," Spiro reported.
"Engineering reports that the engines to a bit of a beating, but they are dealing with it," Paikea reported," and all other systems are functional."
"What about sickbay?" T'Mar asked.
<Tag Illito>
"Okay good, hopefully this Sethe died in that explosion," Cavit said.
"Ambassador Rela, is there any way that we can reach your destination any quicker?" T'Mar asked wanting this to be done with.

She watched from the chair she had been sitting in. She couldn't believe what she was seeing and hearing. She knew who Sethe was, and she had hoped he wasn't dead. She wondered why she hoped that, and wondered why no one seemed to listen to her.
She barely heard the question from the commodore. "No, I dun't knaw any queekor wuy." She said and then sat back. She wasn't pleased with what was going on, and she decided to do nothing more unless asked. She hadn't been asked much about this territory, and she was glad. She didn't want to offer anything more than she had to, and decided this crew didn't need to know any more. They had found a way around that ship, and she was sure they could land on their feet without her aide.
She wondered what would happen between the two races because of their actions, and hoped they would listen to what she had said earlier. Unfortunately it seemed they weren't going to just hand her over. She sighed.

=/\=What about sickbay?=/\= T'Mar asked.
=/\=We’re functioning,=/\= Illito said. =/\=And everything down here is under control.=/\=
Before the comm channel was closed, she overheard the first officer’s words, and sighed softly to herself, as she set off back to work. Illito valued life, and if there were fifty people on the ship, and it had been destroyed, that meant fifty lives were destroyed.
She turned to Nico and Lianna, who were still in her office. “I guess you’ll get some more on-the-job training,” she said. “If you aren’t too tired to continue working,” Illito said, speaking mainly to Nico because he had worked a full shift, then been on call most of the night so far. But she was also asking Lianna.
“No, I’m fine,” Nico said, and he was. He did well under pressure, especially when he was doing something to help others.
<Tag Lianna>[/b]
“Great,” Illito said, then specifically to Lianna; “You already seem to have a good grasp of handling emergencies, but there’s little that can be done about that just now, except end the emergency.” She then smiled, effectively dismissing the two to start working, before Illito turned to work on a rather severely injured patient.

It was eerily quiet on the bridge of the USS Scavenger. The humming of the consoles and stations were drowning out the noise made by the officer's breathing. Paikea Apirana couldn't be happier about that fact. His mind was in two places at the same time.
Half of it was in sickbay along side with Katie and his other was with his body working on something. He was just torn about where he was needed, but his logical side was telling him to be here on the bridge, but his heart told him to be in sickbay with Katie. It seemed as his logical side was loosing ground to the other.
"Commander Apirana, what is our overall status?" T'Mar asked taking Paikea out of his thoughts.
"Um....our shields are holding at 87% and growing," Paikea said," hull integrity at 99% and all other major systems report all ready."
"Good, the crew is working really hard to make sure the Scavenger is back in shape," Commander Cavit commented with a smile as she looked at Pai. Paikea returned her smile with one of his own, but of course it was a forced one.
"Lt. how much time until we reach the Ambassador's destination?" T'Mar asked.
"Forty five hours, Commodore," the helmsman reported as he checked his console.
"Okay, I want the ship at yellow alert until we reach our destination," T'Mar said standing up and turning to Commander Cavit," Commander Cavit, make sure to give the Alpha and Beta teams a break."
Paikea was always surprised by his commanding officer, if he didn't know any better he would of never known that she was Vulcan.
Off: Okay this post gives everyone some time to do anything they want before we reach Rela's destination. So everyone you are free to post about anything, well almost anything. ;D

Katie woke up slowly. Her vision was blurry and her throat felt dry. As the haze cleared Katie quickly realized she was in sickbay, but she couldn't remember how they had gotten there. Not wanting to create unwanted attention, Katie slowly looked around the room and noticed the doctor wasn't anywhere in site.
Throwing the blanket covering her to the side Katie tried to get up but felt every muscle in her body tense up. Katie let out a quiet cry in pain as she managed to get to her feet. Feeling the bloody rush from her head Katie had to brace herself against the bed to keep from falling over. After a few moments she felt the strange tingling feeling fade away and her balance was back.
"I hate sickbay." Katie whispered.
She listened to the voices in the other room for a minute before gaining up the strength to just walk out. Walking briskly out of sickbay Katie didn't bother to stop if anybody had called out to her as she left. Katie turned and continued to walk down the hallway looking over her shoulder when she ran into somebody.
"I got you." Katie heard a man's voice say.
"Thanks." Katie replied without looking up.

Paikea was dead tired, he hadn't been this tired in a very long time, but even if he was dieing of pain it wouldn't stop him from going to see Katie. As he walked down the corridor he noticed someone walking in his direction and immediately recognized who it was.
"I got you." Katie heard a man's voice say.
Paikea long ago knew that Katie had never been one to stay in sickbay. In fact he knew that she hated the place and would do anything to get out, even if she wasn't cleared to do so.
"Thanks." Katie replied without looking up.
Paikea liked the feeling of Katie's body near his, and so he reluctantly released her.
"So you escaped from sickbay again?" Paikea asked smiling at Katie.

=/\=This is Commander Cavit to Commander Tintagel=/\=
=/\=Commander Tintagel here=/\= Illito replied.
=/\=Are you still on duty?=/\=Commander Cavit asked.
=/\=Yes sir. There are wounded to take care of.=/\=
=/\=Surely there are other officers that can do that?=/\=Commander Cavit said.
=/\=Yes sir. But I should be here…=/\=
=/\=In case of an emergency, you could be back at sickbay within minutes.=/\= Commander Cavit reminded her.
=/\=Yes sir. I’ll just finish up some paperwork and check on a few patients then I’ll go.=/\=
Illito closed the comm channel, and glanced around the tired-looking sickbay. “Everyone,” she said, getting the staff’s attention, but she knew that though they continued to work, they were listening. “You’re probably all going to end up doing more work than you would on a normal day, but that’s to be expected. But it’s important to get off duty now, if you’ve been on duty all day. Remember, tomorrow is another day. So, alpha and beta shift members, consider yourself relieved of duty.”
Most of the staff members listened to what she said, but she could tell that some had ignored her. Fortunately for her, she, and most Cardassians, had an eidetic memory. Illito gently reminded the staff that their shift was over. She also caught one gamma shift member trying to leave, just so he didn’t have to work. Illito noted his name to make a note of this on his record.
As she herself was finishing up, she checked on all the patients, and noticed something. “Who released Lieutenant Anderson?” Illito asked, since they should have filed a report.
“Probably someone who already left,” one of the medics said, as no one else answered.
Illito frowned, she wasn’t entirely convinced that was the case, but she could check easily enough with talking to Lt. Anderson.
=/\=This is Commander Tintagel to Lieutenant Anderson=/\= Illito said.
There was no reply.

"I think it would be best to go back to sickbay." Pai said.
Katie began to push against Paikea but he kept walking and Katie felt herself backpedaling as Pai kept walking. Paikea found amusement in this and chuckled as Katie kept pushing.
"Why do you have to be so....strong." Katie said still trying to push Paikea forward.
The doors to sickbay slid open and Paikea playfully pushed Katie into sickbay.
"I think you lost something doctor?" Paikea asked.
"I'm feeling much better." Katie said with a smirk.

Illito sighed. “Sit down and prove it,” she said, grabbing a tricorder. She was frankly feeling quite annoyed just now with Lt. Anderson’s…antics. Illito didn’t heal people out of a desire to annoy them or because she wanted to cause trouble. Illito wasn’t naïve enough to expect, or want, thanks for her work, after all it was her work, her duty. But she didn’t like having to coax patients to sickbay, when there was no reason that she should have to. And she shouldn’t have to stay by their side on the chance that they would regain consciousness and run away.
“And in the future, don’t leave sickbay without first having, at the least, a medic be sure you are fine. Sickbay is not here to watch your back, if you’re injured you’re supposed to come down here, and not leave until you’ve been healed.” Illito watched Katie carefully, trying to gauge her reaction. Illito was quite aware that she could be too harsh, but she needed to be understood. Life wasn’t a game, nor was it something to be put in unnecessarily danger for no reason.

Illito sighed. “Sit down and prove it,” she said, grabbing a tricorder.
Katie sat down with her heart pounding a million miles an hour. Having Paikea standing near by eased Katie's nerves a bit but she could tell the doctor could tell she was uneasy. It wasn't something Katie could control, she just never was able to be around sickbays.
"I'm sorry, I will wait next time." Katie said trying not to sound like a girl who had just been scolded.
Illito stepped aside and Katie took it as a sign that she was ok to leave. Hoping down Katie made for the door as quickly as she could leaving Paikea still standing in sickbay with his arms crossed.
Looking back over her shoulder she spotted Paikea standing inside sickbay. Walking back inside sickbay Katie noticed Ilito was busy putting her items away and didn't even notice her leave. With out saying a word Paikea quickly nudged Katie in the arm with his elbow and let out a little grumble. Looking up at Paikea Katie gave him a quick angry glance then walked up next to Illito.
"I'm sorry for running out, it's something personal. Thanks for taking care of me." Katie said sounding very appreciative.

Paikea just stood their watching Illito go to work on Katie. He had a feeling that she was going to be just fine, but he also knew that Illito had been hurt by Katie's actions. Illito was a great doctor and friend, but she couldn't understand people's hesitation to come to sickbay.
Paikea of course didn't like sickbay, he in fact was almost in need of medical attention when he was in it, but he also understood that if it wasn't for the doctors in Starfleet many and even him would be dead right now.
Katie had made her way out of sickbay, but Paikea didn't follow her out, she had to do something first. Paikea smiled slightly when he saw Katie walk back in.
With out saying a word Paikea quickly nudged Katie in the arm with his elbow and let out a little grumble. Looking up at Paikea Katie gave him a quick angry glance then walked up next to Illito.
"I'm sorry for running out, it's something personal. Thanks for taking care of me." Katie said.
<Tag Illito>
Paikea just watched as the two talked quietly. Pai was sure that Illito would be happy that Katie apologized, but then again he could never presume anything. After both of them finished talking Katie headed back towards Paikea.
"Happy," Katie said with mock anger.
"Who me?" Paikea asked," Yeah I'm happy, and I know you are too."
Katie just smiled at Paikea and walked out the door. Paikea was surprised at her quick departure, but he quickly recovered and joined her in the corridor.
"Katie, I know that you want to get back to work, but I'm telling you to stay away from the bridge until tomorrow," Paikea said hoping to keep Katie relaxed and prepared for the hard work that would waiting for all of them tomorrow.

Rela realized that she remembered the first day she had met Suta, and she wondered what had gone wrong between them. She didn't like how it had ended, and she had hoped he would have contacted her a few years back. It seemed he had no intention to do so, and she wondered why.
It had been a bad day for her, she had another fight with her grandparents, and she just wasn't sure where to go or what to do. She wanted to please them, but she also wanted to see the galaxy far away from where she was used to. She found her lessons boring, her life a wreck. She liked to make havock about where ever she went, but lately nothing felt right. She felt like she belonged somewhere else, but she just wasn't sure where.
She went for a walk in the gardens like she always did when she was upset, but this time she wasn't alone. A young Trico male walked there too. She thought he was a bit cute, but she pushed those thoughts to the back of her mind. She just wanted to enjoy the beautiful garden with the sun setting in the background. She wasn't far from home, and wondered more about this stranger.
He walked up and introduced himself, and she smiled as sweetly as she could. She felt a changed deep within herself, and she wondered what was going on. They raced to the small pond, sitting down by the pond after the race. She had won, but had he let her? She didn't know, and wasn't about to find out. He couldn't help himself, and leaned closer in for a quick kiss. She is taken by surprise, and pulls back quickly not sure what to make of this. They both promise to return to this pond every day until he has to leave.
They had been together three months every day meeting at the pond. It was time for him to go back, and he didn't want to leave her.
"Come with me, dear one. We could be great together, and it would help our people get along better." He said, and she declined his invitation. She wasn't sure what was holding her back, but she knew she couldn't go with him. She wanted to, but she just couldn't. She felt like something was pulling her in another direction.
"You will regret this day. You will regret not coming with me. We could have been great, and instead you choose another path. I will not forget this act, and I will not be able to forget you. My soul is in anguish, and my heart has broken." He said, and left without another word spoken from either of them.
She was brought back to the present by the crew reporting their status. She leaned back fully grateful she was allowed to sit in this chair.
Her mind took her back to the day she got the message summoning her out into space again.
"Rela, I nad yer halp. We our en tribble, and bedly nad you ta ratern heem. Yer futhar es deed, and yar mathur disen't knuw whet ta du. Suta deemunds a dicishun, and san." She had heard the message and couldn't believe what was going on. She knew what must be done, and she also knew that they were headed for war. She told only the last little bit to the Federation counsil, and they had granted her passage home.
She was brought back again, and she realized that these memories weren't helping her. She hoped she could wrinkle out the little details and finally make peace between the two worlds.

"Katie, I know that you want to get back to work, but I'm telling you to stay away from the bridge until tomorrow," Paikea said hoping to keep Katie relaxed and prepared for the hard work that would waiting for all of them tomorrow.
"Alright. Then what should I do instead Commander?" Katie said playfully running her finger up and down Paikea's uniform jacket.
"Katie you know that you don't have to call me Commander," Paikea said as he grabbed Katie's wandering finger.
"Your no fun." Katie replied hitting Paikea gently in his chest.
"Me no fun," Paikea said in fake shock," I'm a lot of fun, I like to read, sleep, play the harp, etc.."
Katie rolled her eyes before quickly grabbing Paikea's hand and dragging him down the hall. Katie pulled hard but Paikea stepped heavy each time forcing Kate to pull harder on his fingers.
Paikea just loved giving Katie a hard time, it was a pleasure in life. He of course would relent, but that of course would be after he had a good laugh. Paikea was almost tempted to stop her and just run away, hoping she would go after him.
"C'mon you big oaf!" Katie said still pulling as hard as she could.
"Where are we going " Paikea asked deciding to let her take him wherever they were going.
"I'll show you in just a second." Katie replied showing Paikea her trademark smile.
There was one thing that Paikea couldn't fight and it was Katie's patent smile. Her smile and eyes had been the things that had enchanted him in the first place.
"Okay, I'll wait," Paikea said.
The strain Kaite had to go through to pull Paikea down the corridor suddenly lightened as Paikea stopped resisting. Turning the corner Katie saw a sign that read 'science lab' and walked in hoping nobody was around. As Katie walked through the doors her heart started to beat faster as she found nobody else in the room. Paikea walked in slowly after Katie still wondering what was going on. As the door closed Katie wrapped her arounds around Paikea's neck and moved in close to him.
"I just wanted to thank you for saving me earlier. I know we have had our problems recently but I want to forget about that." Katie said looking up into Paikea's eyes.
"Katie, you don't have to thank me for saving you, I didn't do anything," Paikea said," and our problems are in the past and I had already forgotten them."
"Then, would it be inappropriate if I kissed you Commander?" Katie said with a playful tone as she bite her bottom lip.
Pai's heart was beating 1000 miles a second. He was almost sure that Katie could hear it pound into his chest. Yet Paikea didn't say anything, but moved his lips towards her lightly kissed her on the lips.
Katie closed her eyes and felt Paikea's soft lips touch hers. She melted in Paikea's arms with every second. Katie couldn't remember why things started to get so out of hand, but as the kiss continued she didn't really care anymore. Just as soon as it started it was over and Katie stood there looking into Paikea's sparkling eyes.
"I don't know about you but I'm hungry." Katie said.
The kiss was the sweetest that he had ever had, even sweeter than their first kiss, but it was over in a second. Paikea wanted to kiss Katie again, but she quickly changed the subject.
"Yeah, I'm hungry," Paikea said laughing at her lousy timing.
"Good. Then you can take me to dinner." Katie said as she poked Paikea in his chest.
"Well, that does leave us with few options," Paikea said as he poked her beautiful nose," the holodecks are down, but I think that the replicators are still working."
"Then why don't you come by my quarters in an hour?" Katie said.
The last time that Paikea was in Katie's quarters, she had screamed at him and told him to leave her alone. Pai was grateful that this would not happen again.
"Okay in an hour," Paikea said as he stole a kiss and left the science lab.
Katie fell back against the wall smiling as Paikea walked out of the science lab. She felt different, she felt whole again. The fear that she had been feeling all day had suddenly been replaced with the warm feelings of comfort and love.

Paikea walked out of the science lab smiling from ear to ear. The fact that Katie had decided to forget the past and move from there had made his day. Well that and the kiss that he had given her.
Yet right now Paikea was heading towards the bridge. He was told to take it easy, but he needed to know the results of his tests. If the results were favorable, Paikea would most probably apply his methods to the ship. In fact, Paikea had been working hard to make improvements to the Scavenger and if the Command Council approved it, the Scavenger would get a major refit with their medical facilities, science labs, and their tactical systems.
“Commander what are you doing on the bridge?” Commodore T’Mar asked as she saw Paikea enter the bridge and get to work.
“I’m just checking if some of my experiments are viable in this situation,” Paikea said.
“Please explain?” T’Mar asked her interest and everyone elses peaked.
“I have made Quantum resonance charge emitters,” Paikea said,” I took the idea from one of the Voyager missions and I have applied it to our systems. There are some problems like burning out the deflector dish, but I’m working on fixing that.”
“What would these emitters do?” T’Mar asked.
“They would strengthen our quantum torpedoes by 35% and would allow us to realign our weapon frequency with more ease,” Paikea said," they would also enhance the explosive yield of our weapons."
“Are there any other things you have been working on Commander?” Commander Cavit asked finally getting into the conversation.
“Yes ma’am I have, but that is a secret,” Paikea said as he sent the information to his console in his room. He would work on it after his date with Katie, which he needed to get ready for.

“The day shift, I assume,” Illito said. “I’ll check with Commodore T’Mar and tell you when I get permission,” Illito continued. “It’s up to you whether you want to stick around; it won’t take me long to ask, or I can contact you over the COM system.”
Lianna smiled, her hand resting on Phantoms head as she spoke with the Doctor. “I’ll stick around, that way you don’t have to go hunting for me.”
Lianna was smiling ear to ear by the time the Doctor was done talking. “I guess you’ll get some more on-the-job training, if you aren’t too tired to continue working.”
“I’d like that Doctor.” Lianna said turning to Nico, although it surprised her when he said he would stay as well, he’d been working almost non-stop.
“Great,” Illito said; “You already seem to have a good grasp of handling emergencies, but there’s little that can be done about that just now, except end the emergency.”
“Thank you Ma’am.” Lianna said before she and Nico departed the Doctors office and went back to work to care for those left in sickbay.<tag Illito and Nico>

Pride: Sat in the pilot seat as he brought his shuttle out of warp. See saw his new home for the first time. He couldn't believe his luck he had be assigned to the Scavenger has the new Helm officer. He rubbed the pips on his collar well I guess its time to start earning my pay. He signaled the Scavenger asking permission to dock. While he waited for the reply he guide the shuttle around the scavenger admiring the lines. Well its going to be a little weird now after piloting the Hanson he thought.

Katie's heart was racing as she left the science lab. She was happy once again with the way her relationship with Paikea was heading and couldn't wait to get to her quarters. Katie tried the best she could to keep her pace under a jog but the excitement of the moment had taken over her. Turning a blind corner she ran head long into somebody. The impact sent her and the person she hit to the floor.
"Oh my god, I'm soooo sorry!" Katie said getting to her feet.
Katie hurried over to the fallen officer and quickly tried to help him up.
"Are you alright???" Katie asked.

OOC: Katie since when do we mind helping out the newest member of our crew ;D
IC:
Paikea was about to make his way off the bridge, but the sensors on the operations console started to beep, telling them that a ship was closing.
"Go to red alert," Commodore T'Mar said without waiting for a response to know what the ship was. Paikea practically ran towards Katie's station and looked at what the ship was seeing.
"Captain, I'm ready a Federation runabout," Paikea said," they are hailing us."
"Let's see what this is about,"T'Mar said standing up. Paikea saw that everyone had automatically had tensed up when the ship sense another ship. It seemed as this mission was getting to everyone and their was no way they could hide it anymore.
"This is the USS Scavenger," T'Mar said over the comm.
"Commodore I'm Lt. Junior Grade Pride," Pride said," I have been assigned to the Scavenger as your new helmsman."
Paikea knew that this fresh out of the academy Lt. must have been looking for the Scavenger for some time. The Scavenger hadn't taken a common route and they didn't totally know where they were.
"Lt. Pride, welcome aboard, shuttle bay two is ready for you," T'Mar said," before you report the bridge, please report to Dr. Tintagel for your physical."
<Tag Pride, Illito, Lianna>
Paikea was very excited to have a new member aboard the ship, their hadn't been one in many months. Hopefully I can make a new friend, Pai thought smiling. Seeing that everything was in place, Paikea finally left the bridge and headed towards his quarters to change quickly.
<Twenty minutes later, five minutes late>
Paikea of course had taken longer than he had expected. It was something that he seemed to always do. He always took a long time taking a shower and getting ready for things. This time it was something not that important. As he was looking at himself in the mirror is tattoo caught his eye.
The image immediately brought up feelings of his people and of what they thought of him. His mother had told him that she was proud of him, but Paikea so badly wanted his fathers approval. Hopefully with good service to the Federation, his family, friends, and ancestors he could make his father proud.
"You are now ten minutes late." the computer said. The automated message brought Paikea out of his thoughts and finished getting dressed. He shortly made his way towards Katie's quarters, where he waited for a bit longer.

=/\=Dr. Tintagel, please prepare for a senior staff medical physical=/\= Commodore T’Mar said.
Illito glanced at the floor, as if it would answer her inner questions. It probably wouldn’t, but no one else seemed to be helping. Why does everyone hate me? she asked herself, then tapped her commbadge to reply to Commodore T’Mar.
=/\=Yes, I’ll be prepared.=/\= Illito sighed again, after being sure to close the comm channel. Her shift was allegedly, Illito checked with ship time, and it was allegedly over several hours ago. Admittedly, everyone was working more than their usual amount, but Illito had hoped to have a chance to send a message to her brother, since she was nearby, and to maybe catch more than a few hours of sleep for once. And it wasn’t like she was actually going to save anyone’s life by being in sickbay just now, but much as she would love to hand off the giving of the physical to the night duty officer in charge of sickbay, and the assistant chief medical officer, Lieutenant Avel really wouldn’t be the best person to welcome Lieutenant Pride aboard the ship.
Illito took the opportunity while filling out paperwork from Katie’s recent visit and all the other events of the day to grab a bite to eat, as it looked from the way she was getting assignments from the bridge to be the only chance to eat food she’d have for a while. Illito did, of course, have to go into her office to eat, but she also focused on the paperwork she was going to have to have filled out. Illito just guessed it was good she didn’t have a pet, she wouldn’t be able to visit her quarters often enough to be sure it wasn’t neglected and that it didn’t starve to death.
Illito glanced out over sickbay, and noticed that Lianna and Ensign Nico were still there. “You should both be off duty now,” Illito said. “After all, you’ve been working hard for longer than you should have to.”
<Tag Lianna>
That having been more or less taken care of, Illito went back to examining her paperwork, and noticed she still lacked a physical from Commander Vassiliou. Illito wondered why a recent arrival’s physical was all that more important than that of an officer that Illito had been trying to get one from all week, but she didn’t bother Commander Vassiliou, she knew that most officers had normal on and off duty hours. She wasn’t one of them, but she didn’t need to be to know that someone’s off-duty time wasn’t the best time to call them down for a sickbay physical, but Illito made a mental note to remember to do so sometime tomorrow.
As Illito was waiting for the new helm officer to arrive, she saw someone come through the sickbay doors, probably Lieutenant Pride, since most people were more in a hurry to leave sickbay than to enter it, especially those not wearing a medical uniform or visibly injured.
“Welcome to the Scavenger and welcome to sickbay,” Illito said. “I’m Commander Tintagel, the Chief Medical Officer.”

Pride: Heard the Scavengers Hail and replied he was alittle shocked when he saw the Shields come up. There's something going on he thought its not normal practice to raise shields when another Federation ship approaches he thoughts. Whats going on over there well I guess I'll find out soon. Another thought occurred to him a physical well I guess there's no getting out of this one he thought.
Pride: Brought the shuttle into the hanger bay and powered down the system he studied a quick map of the scavenger to find where he needed to go. Then closed his eyes and sent a quick thought to his sister Letting her know he was okay. Pride exited the shuttle and headed for sickbay he was thinking the doctor is going to some questions and I better think how I"m going to explain somethings in away the Doctor will understand.
Pride entered the sickbay why is it he thought that they always look the same why don't they make it more welcoming he thought. He saw who he thought was the Doctor and reported in. Lt JG Pride reporting as ordered. As pride waited for a response he noticed how tired the crew was something is going on something big he thought. Pride chuckled alittle remember the officer who ran into him on the way down to sickbay somethings never change he thought no matter what ship your on.

“Lt JG Pride reporting as ordered,” Pride said.
“Ah, good,” Illito said. “Please, sit on the edge of the biobed.”
Illito started to scan Lt. Pride with a tricorder. “Sorry about the reaction when you arrived,” Illito said, since she had heard about it. “It involves a problem with our long-range sensors being broken. Engineering says they’re working on it though.” Since Illito had heard about it from an injured member of the Engineering staff, that would be what they would say though, but she hoped that the sensors would be working again soon.
“When was the last time you were in sickbay?” Illito asked. “Any sickbay, including an Academy or Starbase one.”
<Tag Pride>
She listened to the answer, then nodded, but she still scanned him with the tricorder. She didn‘t need to note the answer on a PADD though, because she had a eidetic memory, and that should cut down on patient nervousness, “Have you been feeling at all sick lately?” Illito asked, since she had to be sure that everyone was fine, though she wasn’t expecting the answer to be yes.
<Tag Pride>
“Been in contact with anyone infected by a contagious disease?
<Tag Pride>
“Do you have any allergies or other illnesses that it would be important to note in your medical record?” Illito asked.
<Tag Pride>
“Then that’s all, you’re free to go, unless there’s something else you want to ask or mention?” Illito asked.
<Tag Pride>
As Lieutenant Pride was leaving, Illito noticed someone stumbling through the door of sickbay. “Obsidian Order,” Illito swore, invoking the name of a formerly near-omniscient organization, but one that didn’t exist anymore. But whatever the actual status of the Obsidian Order, it had been around long enough that fear of it was still instilled in Cardassians, even those who had had no parents to raise them.
Illito helped Commander Cavit to a biobed. “Lt. Avel, help me here,” Illito called, knowing that he would be helpful here, and that the good of the patient was the important thing, more important than anything else. And since Illito was quite tired she didn’t want to make a mistake.
Illito and Avel hooked Commander Cavit up to the biobed quickly and efficiently, before beginning to work on the Commander. ‘Alpha Wave Inducer,’ Illito started to say, but only got as far as “Alph-” before it was in her hand, ready to go. She activated it, and then started to work on the punctured lung of Commander Cavit, who probably was unconscious before from the pain, but now certainly was, after the alpha wave inducer.
Illito healed the lung, found various side complications. “Why did you wait so long before coming down to sickbay?” Illito muttered.
Illito was able to heal the rest of the damage, but it took a good hour, and Commander Cavit wasn’t quite ready to be awoken from the artificially introduced sleep. Illito decided that she would return to her quarters, since she now most definitely needed sleep. Before she left though, she turned to Lieutenant Avel. “Tell me if there’s a change in her condition,” Illito instructed.
“Of course,” Avel replied, and Illito quickly left sickbay.
Upon entering her quarters Illito was informed by the computer that she had a new message. “Is it important?” Illito asked.
“Important is a subjective term and that question cannot be answered,” the computer replied.
“Who is the message from?” Illito asked with the patience of the tired.
“Cido Tintagel.”
Her brother. But Illito couldn’t talk to him now. She set the message aside for the morning, then quickly took a shower and collapsed into her bed.
------
Aeryn realized that she hated her life. Or, more precisely, she hated what she had recently done with it. She still hadn’t received a reply from Pai-which meant he was either busy or didn’t want to talk to her, and Aeryn couldn’t blame him if it was the latter. She held the PADD with her resignation form on it, but she hadn’t submitted it yet, she was still hoping someone would talk her out of it, but she didn’t think that was all too likely since no one was talking to her. Aeryn toyed with the idea of throwing the PADD across the room, but that really wasn’t constructive behavior, and was the kind of thing that had gotten her here.
Aeryn walked across the room, to the desk in front of the computer screen. “Computer, record message,” Aeryn said.
“Adiza,” she said, and knew that she had started badly. Reminding her sister of their childhood by calling her her childhood name probably wasn’t actually a good idea. It wasn’t like either Adiza or Aeryn remembered their childhood fondly, thought it had had its good points, whenever the front just near their home planet wasn’t under immediate attack.
Aeryn decided to keep recording the message though, since if she restarted every time she said something that would stir up negative memories…she would have to restart before she even said a word, the silence would be enough to remind them both of the gap that existed.
“Adiza,” Aeryn repeated, because she felt she had to say it again, and she didn’t edit it out because she had to make the message as real as it could be, and editing her own comments didn’t seem like the best way to achieve that.
“I know, it’s been a while since we last talked, even just to the superficial extent that we usually talk: ‘How are you?: Fine. How’s your career?: Going well. Happy Birthday. Bye, I have to leave.’ But it’s neither of our birthdays,” Aeryn knew she had generalized their conversations, since neither of them even wished each other happy birthday anymore. In fact, no one had given Aeryn good wishes when she had turned 23, just a month ago.
“So, you’re in Section 47 now, stationed on Assailant. I guess I don’t need to tell you that I’m aboard the Scavenger, also in Section 47-it as in my last message. Not that you replied to it, so maybe you never got my message.” Or just didn’t feel like talking to me, Aeryn silently added the much more likely option.
“If you’re wondering how I know you’re on Assailant, mom and dad told me, it appears that they don’t respect your wishes to disappear from the sight of your younger sister-me. In fact, they think it would be nice if we could get together, and I agree. If you don’t want to though, or are too busy, I understand,” Adislo added since she wanted to give her sister a way out of this.
“Love, Your Little Sis,
“Computer, stop recording,” Aeryn said, then decided she couldn’t send the message as it was. “Delete message, and start recording again.”
