Assialant was nothing if unpredicatble. In the past 24 hours Magellan had had to castigate the crew of the Tigershark for stealing ships, reassign an officer from the future who replaced his past self and ensure that michelle, Semia Cavits daughter safely got to her when the Scavenger docked. By the end of the day the Victory would also be due back. A full half of the 1st fleet all visiting, an extra 2 1/2 thousand souls to fill the starbase and the officers club.
He frowned trying to force back the growing muzzy headache that was developing. He seemed to remember that beeing a cure one of his new hosts had used. At least he was a little more comfortable with his past selves now, he spoke in the plural less and less, but... there was still something not quite right... an unsettling gap between what he was and what he should be.
He looked up and realised he would be late to meet with the Ambassadorial team to discuss their use throughout the sector and how they would be best suited.
He rose carefully and picked up his PaDDS stepping in to Ops he told F'Rass where he was going, "If anyone wants me I ll be on the diplomatic level."

OOC: Joint post between myself and Ambassador Ezdreiana.
Adislo walked slowly through the corridors, her head hung slightly, and her thoughts contemplative. She had received another letter from her sister, which was unexpected. She had gotten two letters from Aeryn in three months, which was very nearly more than she'd gotten in her seven years as a Junior Ambassador on Trill. It might be their proximity. Adislo realized the Scavenger was docked now, and her sister had said she wanted to get together, but Adislo had a better idea, that involved staying as far away from the Scavenger as possible.
She nearly bumped into someone, managed to avoid doing it, but she immediately became aware of her surroundings. “I'm so sorry,” she apologized.
Ezdreiana had seen her coming, but decided not to move. This would be the perfect way of giving Adliso the good news.
"No problem, Ambassador, I was actually hoping that you would bump into me," Ezdreiana said smiling at the young Bolian.
“You were?” Adislo asked, a little confused. “Why?” Adislo noticed that Ambassador Ezdreiana was smiling, which was probably a good sign, but Adislo wasn't sure what it would be a sign of.
"Well because I'm very happy to inform you that your trial period is over," Ezdreiana said for effect," that being said your officially a DCS Ambassador and the newest Federation Ambassador. Congraulations Ambassador."
Adislo blinked quickly a few times. “I see,” she responded quickly, buying herself more time to absorb the shock. She hadn't been aware she had been on a trial period, she had just thought she would be a junior ambassador forever-probably not a realistic view, but it had seemed the most probable. “Thank you,” Adislo said, smiling now as well.
"I hope that this doesn't come as a shock," Ezdreiana said," you proved yourself with the Vaadwuar and Turie."
“It is a shock,” Adislo admitted. “But it's a good one. I suppose this means that I'll have all the regular duties of a full Federation Ambassador then?”
"Yes, though that will also mean that you might be assigned to some ships in Section 47," Ezdreiana said hoping this would not be a deterrent
“Understood,” Adislo replied, then smiled again. “That could be fun,” she admitted.
"Yes Adislo it can be but also very dangerous," Ezdreiana said serioulsly. She would not underestimate the dangerous duty that they would undertake as Ambassadors. "As Ambassador's we are known throughout the Federation and other powers. As I speak I'm sure that the Romulan, Klingon's, and Cardassians know that you were just appointed Ambassador."
“Interesting,” Adislo replied, vaguely disconcerted, though she was fairly sure that was Ambassador Ezdreiana's intent. Adislo wondered just how much of a role the three species Ezredeiana had just mentioned would play, as well as how much Adislo would end up dealing with species that she'd never heard of, like the Vaadwaur.
"Well that does not matter right now, Ambassador welcome to the Diplomatic Corp of Section 47," Ezdreiana said as she bowed to the young women.
Adislo bowed back, then remembered something, the conversation about deployment on ships had jogged her memory of a meeting that was scheduled in about 15 minutes, one she hadn't initially been invited to, but would be now, as a full ambassador. Adislo mentioned it, then added; “I guess I should head there then soonish.”
Ezdreiana raised her eybrow in a very Vulcan way, her husband had of course been a bad influence on her in that regard," Yes, you should. I think that Ambassador Saarok will be heading that briefing."
Adislo nodded, her natural response to people raising their eyebrows at her, since their gesture seemed to represent doubt it was usually best to answer in the affirmative. “Will you be going to the briefing as well?” Adislo asked, curious.
"Yes I will, but I have to contact my husband first," Ezdreiana said," now if you excuse me."
Adislo smiled. “Of course,” she replied, and continued on to the meeting on her own. She much preferred to be, at the least, punctual, and, at best, early.

ooc: this takes place a few hours after the Jefferson docked...and Tedak said goodbye to Billi, who'll be leaving on a mission with the Jefferson again real soon.
ic:
After enjoying a few more hours with Billi and her new pet, in the company of Matt Reynolds and Rin Damis, Tedak though now was about time to report back for duty on Assaillant. No matter where he went for assignments, SBA still remained his home.
That, and he would get to see his son again. T'Val had sent him a message earlier that she'd be going to dinner with Stuart Mercy, taking D'Beren with them but he would be welcome to visit in the morning and take their son with him. That's what he still liked about T'Val, she wasn't difficult when it came to caring for their son.
He knew of women who cut out the father altogether, or went really difficult when the father came to take a child for something as his visitation rights said he could. T'Val did no such thing, he could come and go as he pleased, though he did take great care not to intrude on her private life too much. He could see she was happy with the human doctor, and all he ever wanted was to see her happy.
Quietly, he walked the corridors of Assaillant, finally finding himself face to face with two female ambassadors. He recognized the Trill female, but the name of the Bolian had escaped him. "Good afternoon ladies," he greeted them politely, "I heard you had an eventful mission quite recently."
It was an open invitation to tell him more about it, without him directly asking for the news. While he'd been on the Jefferson, he'd been pretty much out of contact with the base. He smiled as Nut leaned down from his shoulder, holding himself there by only his hind paws, keeping his front talons dug in the Romulan's shirt.
The brown was curious and quite bold when it came to meeting new people. Sev was more cautious, and remained awing most of the time. "Did I miss much?" Tedak finally asked.

Before Ezdreiana could depart from the company of Adliso, Ambassador Tedak walked up near them and joined in the conversation that ended just mere seconds ago.
"Good afternoon ladies," he greeted them politely, "I heard you had an eventful mission quite recently."
"Did I miss much?" Tedak finally asked.
"Actually Ambassador, after seeing your record I would venture that you didn't miss much at all," Ezdreiana said knowing much about the Romulan in front of her. He was the infamous Romulan Ambassador to the Federation. He was seen as a tratior by many in his government, and as unlikely, suspicous friend to the Federation. He was stuck in the middle of it all, but he still got his job done, which made Ezdreiana respect him even more.
<Tag Tedak/Adislo>
Adislo went on to explain the jist of there last mission, which somehow was explained in the span of a few minutes. It surprised her how fast a couple of weeks of her life could be explained.
"Well Ambassador I don't know if you know, but we are heading to a meeting where we are supposed to be briefed by Ambassador Saarok and Admiral Lin," Ezdreiana said to Tedak.

Magellan took his seat just to the left of the top of teh table. Saarok was already present. Dressed in his usual full length grey robes. He sat meditativly his hands left comofrtably in his lap. "Admiral" he greeted formally, "Ambassador" Magellan replied with a slight smile. Saarok was far from being your average Vulcan. He had many of the cultures stereotype but Magellan was convinced there was a rather subtle sense of humour at work behind those sharp eyebrows and pointed ears. "How was Vulcan not as eventful as your last visit?" Was that a twitch of a smile he saw on Saaroks lips? "Not at all. It was most relaxing. Unlike your sojourn to Trill I hear" The last time Saarok had returned to vulcan it had been with his former and Tedak in pursuit of his lost memory. "Im glad to hear." Magellan replied, "And no Trill was not how I remembered it. Ah here are the others."
As he spoke Adislo, Ezedriana and Tedak arrived, Magellan looked quizically at Saarok. "I asked him to attend, As partners in the Qualinost programme I thought it appropriate." Magellan nodded, though he wasnt sure he agreed. The Romulan Government might have invested in the terraforming project but it didnt give them any rights in this sector of space. It had taken a long time for Magellan to overcome his suspicion of all Romulans to establish any kind of level of trust with Tedak.
"Please take a seat ladies and gentleman." Magellan offered, "Welcome to Assailant formally. When you arrived you were out the door almost immedietly to deal with the Vaadwaar" "Which is actually what we want to discuss with you" Saarok added, "The arrival of the Vaadwaar and teh Turei in this region of space has raise some flags. I have discussed with Ambassador Ezedriana a new disposition of our resources." He stood and activated a screen that showed the region of space adminsitered by the First Fleet. "We have several ships throughout this region - all use this base as a resupply point. Its the nexus for all diplomatic efforts in the sector and with the Debrune reappearing Assailant has served well in meeting these problems. Our current problem lies out there." he pointed to the small starfleet insignias distributed across the stars, "We are concerned that until we discover exactly where this subspace terminus is we could well be encountering more Delta Quadrant species at any time. This time the work of Ezedriana and Adislo solved the issue but only because they were directly despatched. This leads me to our new modus operandi - In future we would like Ambassadorial staff to rotate through the fleet. Taking slots on ships and being on hand to deal with any problems. This neednt interrupt regular duties aboard Assailant. We still have several Foriegn Powers aboard withe Embassys but it is our view that Attaches and lower ranked staff will deal with them unless a major problem occurs. Our primary goal is to maintain the alliance with the Debrune and facilliatate safe and effective first contact protocols with any Delta Quadrant species... Any questions"

Tedak cast Magellan a puzzled look. "Delta quadrant species?" he querried, glancing around the room, "I've heard rumours about these Vaadwaur, are they really from the Delta quadrant?"
The Romulan sighed as Magellan suggested roulation among the fleet for the diplomatic staff. "While I don't think it a bad idea," he started, "I would suggest a remained contact with Assaillant."
He paused, sipping the glass of water he'd taken with him for the briefing. "I've just spent a few months aboard the Jefferson, under two different commanding officers," he continued, "and I think it's a good opportunity for the diplomatic staff to refine their skills, not only diplomatical, but other skills as well. While aboard the Jefferson, I've spent some time helping out in sickbay - though I was there as a patient too at some point - and I've also worked at the tactical station, and even had a little hunt with a Klingon diplomat, as the Jefferson's engines were sabotaged with Romulan technology that had Klingon origins."
He chuckled. "The tension on the bridge could be cut with a knife most of the time, but it was fun and extremely educational."
Tedak turned back to Magellan. "Shouldn't Ji'Zhan be at this meeting? I had been looking forward to meeting up with him, and discuss Debrune history."

T'Val stood in her bathroom, admiring her reflection in the long mirror. It wasn't something she did on a regular basis, and she actually preferred to avoid mirrors altogether as they made her jittery, but for once, she actually wanted to look good.
She gazed down as she felt a light tug on her skirt and smiled. "Why, you look hansome," she praised her son, who had insisted he could dress himself and wouldn't need his mother. For a two-year old (nearly 3) he had done amiably. He had managed to get his pants on backwards as well as his shirt, but his shoes were on the right foot. "Now, perhaps we should fix you up a little," she added, coaxing him onto the desk so that she could fix his clothing.
"Doctor Mercy will be waiting for us, now remember to behave yourself."
"Yes mother," D'Beren replied dutifully. He'd been promised that his father would visit in the morning, and that he could spend a few days with him, provided he behaved. He wasn't going to let that be taken away from him.
"Well then we should go," T'Val smiled, casting another (now nervous) glance at the mirror. She had opted once more to let her long wavy hair fall free, as she had sensed it was something Stuart liked.
They had barely stepped out the door, when Stuart Mercy came walking up to them.

T'Val and D'Beren appeared just as Stuart was walking up the hall towards their door. "I see that the two of you are ready." He walked up to T'Val and gave her a light kiss. "Looking very nice as always, and especially you D'Beren. My, I think I might be overdressed." D'Beren gave a huge smile at the compliment.
Together they made their way to the Fishtank. Stuart at first thought that he might want to take them somewhere more formal, but then he realized that sort of place might not hold D'Beren's attention much. He would save those types of dates with T'Val when they were alone. The Fishtank was perfect for the child, with its huge windows facing the docking bays. It made for a marvelous display of the various ships that were in dock. Plus the addition of various shuttlecrafts, and repair crafts flitting about, this would definitely keep D'Berens attention while they were eating.
They had arrived at the Fishtank and were seated immediately. Stuart had taken the liberty to call ahead and reserve a window seat. D'Beren was delighted at the scenery. Immediately he started pointing out the various vessels he was seeing. T'Val knowingly gave Stuart a smiling look for his thoughtfulness towards D'Beren.
"So! What would everyone like to eat?"

"Yes they are" Magellan replied, "We have intelligence on them from the Voyagers time out there"
Magellan smiled weakly, "I had no intention of sending you off on to our ships at present except where Romulan matters are conerned. Foreign nations will be required here - only Federation Staff will be rotated formally to our ships."
"Ji'Zhan is currently visiting the Federation Council on Earth. He is hoping to get the ball rolling for their admission into the Federation." Magellan replied.
"Well if no one has any further questions, your time is your own. Thankyou."
Magellan rose and waited for the Ambassadors to leave before himself returning to Ops. He barely had time to sit down when he recieved notice that the Victory was in dock and that Captain Savali was aboard. Lily locate Captain Savali and have him report to me." Magellan ordered. It was about time he went through the Captains new duties with him.

Whilst a huge and powerful establishment Starbase Assailant looked pitifully insignifcant on galactic scales against the looming backdrop of the planet beneath it and the stars around it.
It looked all the more fragile from the bridge of the cloaked Romulan Warbird. Jak'tel grinned broadly he was going to achieve in a single day what his Uncle had spent half his life attempting to do. Unify his people and join them with their Romulan Ancestors.
The plan was simple, take the station and control the planet. Control the planet, control the Council of Elders, control them and rule the Debrune. Whilst his benefactor had remained on Romulus she had sent a most able military commander - Tanok. He had devised a plan of pure genius. A lightening strike that would pave the way for the limited strike force of only a handful of Warbirds to seize the station.
Once in control of the station they would quickly strangle the population until they made him Leader - he would declare neutrality and claim Assailant as Debrune. The Federation would oppose of course but once soverignty was attained, they would risk angering the Romulans and so would be rendered impotent.
Tanok seemed to Jak'tel more Vulcan than Romulan, he was cold, impassionate and seemingly emotionless. He was shrewd and calculating and to Jak'tels annoyance treated him like a child. That would change once he was proclaimed Supreme Elder.

In rapid and undetected movement, the warbirds came upon Assaillant before they even realized what was going on. Safely hidden behind their cloaks they crept up upon the outer perimeter and then waited. Next came the sabotage, using a Debrune shuttle the elite commandos exited from warp and docked normally. Moving swiftly they disembarked and beamed directly to the Computer core and Main reactor.
~naming a computer?~ Tanok thought as he prepared to join the next assault team. Scans had located the key persons that ran the station, and very conveniently, they were located in a small office.
Jak'tel stood proudly on the bridge and watched as the teams checked in. They had managed to seize both areas without alerting... suddenly the shields of the base went up. No worry Jak'tel thought if all was going well they couldnt run shields or weapons without power.
Tanok grinned to himself and readied his disruptor. "Beam us aboard," he ordered a lowly operator, who ducked in response, fearful of any kind of actions on his commander's part.
Seconds later, Tanok and four body guards were upon the people in the office. A bronze flying creature came flying at the Romulan but it was shot from the air even before it's talons reached his skin. Catching the creature, Tanok briefly admired it, then gazed at the two people before him. "Lock the doors and see to it that nobody can see we're here," he ordered his guards, who obeyed him without pause.
"Magellan Lin and Loskene," he grimaced, "two prize hostages." He shot a glare at Loskene. "Don't try to shiftshape," he warned, "my guards act quicker than you can change."
Tanok glanced back at the bronze creature. "This thing belongs to you?" He all but tossed the creature to Magellan, he despised these pesky creatures already even though he'd never seen one before, he certainly had heard of them. This didn't, however, mean that he'd treat pets without respect. He had his own trusted pet back on Romulus, and he'd pelt anyone who'd harm the creature. He figured Lin might do the same, despite not quite being in the position to do so right now.
"Sit down," he told both admirals, as he motioned for one of his guards to take their combadges and search them for possible weapons. One of them retrieved Rayna's original Agiel from Loskene's body and tossed it at Tanok, who scowled. "So that traitress is here too? She'll be dealt with...now....as of now this station is mine. Starfleet no longer controls it, anyone resisting us will be killed, and don't think we'll stop short at killing flag officers."

Klaxxons suddenly began blaring and Magellan leapt from his chair. He dashed from his office. "Report" He barked as he was joined by Loskene.
"We ve lost contact with Lily and Engineering, we have reports of weapon fire."
Loskene looked at Magellan, "Red Alert. Raise Shields. Lock the Station down." Magellan crossed to the Ops Master Situation Table, "Are security Teams onteh way?"
F'Raass nodded, "Tomlinson and Zoilip are leading them." Magellan nodded, "Contact Voran - get him up here" He paused and frowned at the table, "Losk these here -look here - they look like..." "Displacement waves from a cloak... Arm topedoes and bring the defence grid fully online."
"Too late" F'rass grunted as several ships appeared on screen. "16 ships. We can take 16" Loskene tutted, Magellan moved to the centre of Ops. "Ready Phasers on my mark lock and Fire." "Are we sure they are hostile..." F'rass asked nervously, Magellan shot him a venomous look. "Fire" he ordered Mutliple shots lanced out and struck the lead ship but barely caused the shields to flare. "Weapons are losing power, and shields... shields are falling." "They ve taken the reactor... They aim to board us" Magellan realised, "Open up stationwide Comms - All hands prepare to repel boarders... All civilians to shelters and homes... I repeat prepare to repel boarders.. this is not a drill... not a drill...." "I m picking up transporter signals..."F'rass reported as figures appeared in Ops.
Magellan obeyed, it was obvious they had the upper hand at the moment. But this was a vast station with several vessels in dock, all in all about 4,000 starfleet personnel were on base and whilst they were hostages at the moment no-one knew this base better than himself and his staff and for now Tomlinson, Voran and Zoilip were still at large and that gave plenty of options..
"Im sure you wouldnt mind killing Flag Officers " Magellan noted calmly, "I would however like to offer you reasonable terms for your surrender... It may seem that you are in control... but I assure you that it only seems that way"

Loskene grunted under his breath, but he offered no immediate resistance.
Loskene: You will not touch her.
Tanok: Hey, starfleet!
Tanok slapped Loskene upside the head.
Tanok: Maybe you didn't hear me the first time. You don't have any say in what I plan to do. If I have to repeat it again it will not be as pleasant.
Tanok's minions began setting up small beacons throughout the room.
Tanok: Hm. These are transporter inhibitors. Just to make sure no one tries anything sneaky.
Loskene: I know you Romulans well enough, unfortunately. I know the routine all too well.
Tanok: Indeed. At the hands of the traitress... The senate will be pleased to have her returned, and then the courts will hand down her inevitable execution.
Loskene: You don't actually expect to succeed in your course of action, do you?
Tanok: Hahahaha. With you two in hand, I'd say it is what humans call "clear sailing".
Loskene: We'll see about that...

Before T'Val could respond, alarms started blaring all over the place and Magellan's voice rang over the intercom, calling for civillians to go to the shelters. The Vulcan healer cast a questioning look at Mercy and her expression mirrored the fear she felt. From Mercy's expression she knew he felt her fear. "What are we going to do now?" she querried, "I will not leave D'Beren but my services may be needed in sickbay." <mercy...she's yours for the next 3 weeks:) treat her well hm? >

Nika was trying, if unsuccessfully, to relax. The events of the past few days had hit her hard, more so because she still remembered being an insignificant acting ensign, first aboard the Vesuvius, then the Victory. And now Captain Savali had transferred to Assailant; Commander Rylka had also transferred, though there was a chance Tiffani would return to the Victory. So Nika was the first officer, and, at least temporarily, in the absence of a captain, she was the acting captain. Which was all quite stressful.
In her attempt to enjoy some of the station leave, Nika visited a few of Assailant's shops. She didn't find anything though, and was on her way back to her quarters aboard the Victory when she heard klaxons ringing. Nika hurried on to the Victory, since thought she'd be more likely to be able to help from there.
Over the station commsystem came Admiral Lin's orders to Station personnel and civilians, and Nika followed it up with her own tap to her commbadge. =/\=This is Commander Cir'Kem to all Victory crew, return to the ship if possible and report to battle stations.=/\= Nika practically ran the rest of the way to the bridge, but was able to catch her breath enough during her impatient ride in the turbolift to ask for a report as soon as she was close enough to the bridge to do so.
“Can we undock and fire at the attacking ships?” Nika asked, hoping that if their own ships were attacked the intruders might not focus on transporting officers to the Assailant. That idea and the fact that Nika would have been practically worthless in hand-to-hand combat were why she had rushed back to the Victory.
“No sir,” Lieutenant Duchek, the current security/tactical officer, replied, as Ensign Bahri hadn't arrived at her station yet. “The station isn't releasing us, and if we tried to fire now...” the Lieutenant trailed off, he didn't need to say anything more.
“Understood,” Nika replied, and considered muttering a curse below her breath, but she didn't think it would do any good, so she didn't indulge in the temptation.
Nika noticed Ensign Bahri enter the bridge. While she gave Sarina a chance to arrive at her station, Nika tapped her commbadge. =/\=This is Commander Cir'Kem to Doctor Rogers=/\= she said, since their new doctor had reported into her, and she figured he would have been in sickbay settling in. =/\=Prepare for causalities=/\= Nika paused, then decided to add: =/\=And welcome aboard. Do you have everything under control down there?=/\= she asked, since she might be able to help or reassign shift positions if he needed more crew, though there wasn't all that much beyond that she could do.
<Tag Krythan>
“Ensign Bahri, are there any intruders on our ship,” Nika asked, then, before receiving an answer, she continued. “If there are, get them off.” Nika knew that she might be able to help Assailant, but she figured that first she had to secure the Victory. Maybe after, they could try taking back some of the Assailant. Hopefully, Nika silently added to herself.
<Tag Sarina>
Nika tapped her commbadge again. =/\=Commander Cir'Kem to Commander Parker, what kind of shape is the Victory in?=/\= she asked, hoping to find out how much starbase mechanics had been able to repair before the attack. Nika didn't immediately need the information, but she did think it might be useful to know the state the ship was in, it might affect her decisions.

Sarina was enjoying her shore leave when the klaxons began blaring and Admiral Lins voice was heard over the comm.
=/\= All hands prepare to repel boarders... All civilians to shelters and homes... I repeat prepare to repel boarders.. this is not a drill... not a drill.... =/\=
She sprang to her feet from where she sat beneath a tree in the arboretum, her hand reaching for her phaser which was strapped to her waist as she headed for the promenade.
A short time later Cmdr. Cir’Kems voice followed issuing new orders for her.
Her stride never changing as she reversed direction and headed now for her ship and her station on board the ship.
It took her longer to reach the ship than she hoped but she made the trip from the airlock to the bridge in short time. She arrived just in time to hear Cmdr Cir’Kem the doctor to be prepared for injured.
Nika turned as Sarina relieved the officer at her station and took over scanning the ship.
“Ensign Bahri, are there any intruders on our ship, If there are, get them off.”
Sarina muttered seeing the results of the scans. “Ma’am there are a half a dozen boarders in Engineering.” she was about to continue when three figured transported onto the bridge. Her hand instinctively moving towards her phaser.

Stuart couldn't believe it. ~So much for a quiet dinner.~ He noted to himself. The Klaxon's blared with Admiral Lin's explanation following behind. T'Val's fear had reached deep down inside Stuart as they were holding hands at the moment of the alert. She was looking for Stuart to give reassurance and guidance.
"Just stay calm. I don't want you to leave D'Beren either. We shall all go to the infirmary together. It should be safe for us. Come!"
Taking T'Val by her hand, who in turn had D'Beren in her other hand, Stuart led them out of the Fishtank establishment. Starfleet personnel were scrambling to get to their stations, and civilians were returning to homes and shelters as quickly as they could.
Finally they had made it to the infirmary. It was curious to Stuart that he hadn't spotted any invaders as was previously announced. Casualties were not coming in either. "Come!" He motioned to T'Val and D'Beren to follow into his office.
Sitting infront of his terminal, Stuart began to speak. "Lily, what's the stations current status?"
No respponse.
"Lily?"
Still nothing.
It didn't take long for Stuart to realize what had happened. "Looks like someone did board us and they have taken strategic points on the station. Makes sense."
T'val looked worried. "What do we do now?"
"Nothing for the moment. We're safe here. If nothing else, you make sure you keep D'Beren safe in here. I need to check something."
"What do you mean...I keep D'Beren safe here? Where are you going to be?"
Stuart didn't answer T'Val. He was busy on his terminal. Lily was shut down, along with any current sensor information that Stuart normally had access to. The station's schematics, however, were still accessible. Stuart hurried up and downloaded those to a tricorder before they were no longer available. He might need this later.

The meeting had gone on as planned, Admiral Lin and Ambassador Saarok had taken into account her recommendations. She was not use to Starfleet personal listening to her, but this was a welcomed change.
As Ezdreiana walked down the corridor the claxons erupted. People screamed and she could barely hear the announcement.
"Civilians......boarding.....teams," was all that Ezdreiana could hear. Ezdreiana ran towards the many windows on Assailant and saw in horror many Romulan ships surrounding the ship. After a few seconds the ships cloaked once again.
~What are we going to do?~ Ezdreiana asked herself knowing that command had been taken. Loskene and Lin were there, right now Starbase Assailant was without there commanding officer.
"Ambassador you need to follow me, we must protect you in accordance to Regu....," a security officer said grabbing Ezdreiana.
"Commander stop, I will not be going anywhere," Ezdreiana said taking her weapons out of her robes," I know that I'm technically an ambassador, but I will not sit while this is happening."
"Understood, ma'am, though most of us don't know what we supposed to do," the crewman admitted.
"Follow me, there are about five ships in dock right now," Ezdreiana said as she ran towards a secure terminal.
"Lily are you there?" Ezdreiana asked the computer. When she didn't receive any response she knew that she had been taken care of.
"Hopefully these still work?" Ezdreiana said tapping her commbadges.
=^=Federation ships do not engage the enemy. We are outnumbered and control of Assailant is in question. I repeat don't engage the enemy, they are cloaked and outnumber us three to one=^=
Ezdreiana wished that this attack would of happen a week ago. It wasn't that she wanted the base to be attacked, but a week ago the Scavenger, Tigershark, Nevada, Jefferson, and a couple of ships had been in dock. Now only the battered Victory and four damaged Akira's were in dock.
=^=This is Captain Stone, who are you to give us orders?=^=
=^=I am Deputy Chief of the DCS, Ambassador Ezdreiana and I'm telling you if you go out and engage you will have signed your crews death warrants=^=
=^=What should we do?=^= another captain asked.
=^=We cannot stay on this channel the Romulans will pick up on it very soon. If you can come on the station and meet in the Victory's port. I will round up all available teams and head that way. After that we an come up with a plan=^=
Ezdreiana didn't know if she was doing the correct thing. Romulans could be crawling all over the base, but they needed to do something. For all she knew Lin and Loskene were already dead. She wasn't a Starfleet officer, but she wouldn't allow this base to fall to the enemy. She would have to be captured and killed before she stopped trying.
Hopefully she would be able to find some other officers on her way to the Victory, but she couldn't count on it.

Adislo heard the alarm klazons before she had gone five feet in the direction she had been heading. =/\=All civilians to shelters and homes=/\= she heard over the comm, but she didn't know where exactly these shelters were. Still, it wasn't hard to follow the other civilians, and she found herself in one of the shelters. Despite the fact that she had been one of few not knowing where to go, she seemed to be the calmest here.
Adislo took one last look at the corridors, checking to see if anyone was coming down it, before the door was sealed tightly. Adislo did a quick headcount of the people here, there were twenty-seven. Adislo hadn't a clue if that was a standard number or not, but it was the number that was here. Which was all well and good, but Adislo didn't know what to do next.
“Okay, people, listen up,” she said, her words seemed to demand to be shouted to gain people's attention, but Adislo instead said them quietly, it wasn't like she had much noise to compete with, just frightened whispers. “I'm Adislo, a Federation Ambassador,” she said, thinking that her position might do something to reassure them. Sure they were civilians, but most of them were used to, at the least, battle drills. Adislo couldn't at first think of what to say after that. She could say 'just keep calm and everything will be fine' but she wasn't sure it would be. “And if anyone were to come through that door besides authorized personnel, I think we should be able to defend ourselves.”
Adislo looked around, and found, among some of the other supplies, phasers. It made sense to have them here, both if they needed to defend themselves and if someone got trapped in here and had to blast their way out.

Nika was already tapping her commbadge as Sarina finished telling her where the boarders were. =/\=Commander Cir'Kem to Security, send forces to Engineering to defeat the intruders=/\= Nika finished, as her hand grabbed her phaser. She aimed at one of the three intruders, the one that wasn't by any delicate consoles or people. Nika missed the first time, hitting the wall but not doing any damage, then hitting the intruder the second time. The stunned body collapsed to the deck as Nika looked to see if any of the others around.
She did find the other two, but stunned on the ground. One of them looked like he had been injured in falling to the deck floor, and Nika, relieved that the bridge was safe, hit her commbadge again. =/\=Nika to Doctor Rogers, prepare to receive a casualty, and keep her well-contained, she's one of the Romulan infiltrators.=/\=
<Tag Krythan>
Nika ordered the other two prisoners to be put in the brig, then ordered more security forces sent down to engineering because the intruders hadn't been stopped there yet.
Glancing around the bridge at the crew, Nika noticed that Sarina seemed to be favoring her left shoulder, and the uniform seemed a little singed. “Are you injured?” Nika asked.
<Tag Sarina>
Nika sighed, but didn't see much use in ordering Ensign Bahri to go down to sickbay, since the injury really wasn't all that serious. Nika had heard some bits of a conversation that might have included her had she not had Romulans trying to take over her bridge.
Nika frowned. As first officer she would generally be the one to go on away teams and try to retake the Assailant, but in the absence of a captain...But it wasn't really an away team, though it might become one...It was all too complicated, but Nika didn't really care all that much whether she was doing the correct thing according to regulations, so long as they were successful in retaking the station. “Ensign Bahri, you have the bridge,” Nika said, “Unless you would like to come with to discuss the retaking of Assailant.”
<Tag Sarina>
Nika nodded and proceeded to the Victory port. Upon arriving there, she saw a few gathered, and went up to the female dressed in civilian clothing that Nika assumed would be the ambassador, although Nika realized belatedly that she too was in civilian clothing-she had not been on duty when Assailant was attacked-and changing was not a priority.
“Ambassador,” she said. “I'm Commander Cir'Kem and I'd like to offer my assistance and that of the Victory in any way I can.”

Zoilip crouched behind the low couch. He wasn't sure whose room he had burst into. There was definetly no-one at home. Reassured that no-one had seen him he stood up and surveyed his surroundings. A low cost appartment typical of the lower portions of the station - plain and simple. He checked his phaser and was pleased to see that it still had plenty of charge left. He returned it to its holster and reached up to pluck the comm badge from his uniform. He stared at it a moment deciding if he should dare use it. Comms and especially badges could be traced - particularly if Ops was held against them.
Zoilip, the stations Tactical Officer and aide to Admiral Magellan had been on his way to investigate the invasion of the computer core. He and his small team had been ambushed a deck before they had reached the core. What Zoilip had believed were simple Debrune visitors running for the shelter had in fact been an undercover interception team. He wasn't sure what had happened to the others, he had been concentrating on avoiding the lances of disruptor fire that had rained down upon them. He recalled sadly seeing Vanetti and J'lot going down.
Taking a glass of water he drank deeply and thankfully. His mind ran with possibilities. The base was obviously boarded. They had done well to seize the Main Reactor and the Computer Core. Lily wasnt responding and internal transporters weren't working otherwise Security detachments would have beamed in and restored order. He had to also assume Ops was down as from there they could have withstood the assualt and re-routed all commands.
The Romulans next step would be to turn the bases internal security systems against them. The base had a huge civilian population and that might be Zoilips only chance. He dashed into the sleeping areas and rummaged through the draws until he found something suitable. Stripping off his uniform he donned the trousers and shirt. He tucked the phaser into the waistband and pulled the jacket tight around him. He stood in front of the mirror. It wasn't typical Bolian attire, but it would have to do.
There was only one place he knew he had to go. Ops and the other critical areas would be buttoned down tight. Tomlinson, Voran and the other security teams could be anywhere and without comms it could take hours even days to find them. No the best place to mount a defence and then an attack was from the dock. He knew his old ship the Victory was there. He wasn't sure if he knew any of its crew since he had left with Magellan. He knew Sek was gone and Walker, but Kapoor and hopefully Duchek were still there.
Checking himself once more in the mirror he opened the door and stepped out in to the streams of frightened people milling about the corridors, walkways and plazas.

Sarina managed to get a shot off and knock out one of the intruders before one of the remaining boarders aimed and took a shot at her, the phaser beam glancing her shoulder. She stood up after having been knocked to the deck by the blast and brushed off her uniform, favoring her injured shoulder.
“Are you injured?” Nika asked as Sarina surveyed the situation.
“It’s minor Commander.” she replied as she moved her shoulder assessing the damage.
“Ensign Bahri, you have the bridge,” Nika said, “Unless you would like to come with to discuss the retaking of Assailant.”
Sarina smiled as she bent down to pick up her phaser and one of the discarded phasers of the boarders and tucking them into her belt.
“I think I want to join you Commander.” Sarina replied, the two heading for the airlock leading to the Assailant. It didn’t take them long to get to the airlock, her hand on her phaser, holding it at the ready.

After the meeting with Magellan and the rest of the Ambassadorial staff, Saarok and his security guards made way back to the federation embassy. After arriving at the embassy he made way into his office and sat behind the computer where he was hopping to tap into the Starfleet intelligence network and check on the recent Romulan activity. This passageway to the delta quadrant was bound to get their interest rates up. Just as he was about to enter his codes... red lights started flashing and an announcement came over the comm. system about boarding teams attacking.
Not moments after the announcement came through his two guards entered through the door with phasers drawn.
"We must change to plain clothes without Starfleet insignia now", Saarok said as he motioned for the two to proceed to his emergency supplies locker.
After opening it he removed several pieces of clothing and passed them over to his guards and took on several pieces himself. After the three had changed their clothes they took of their Starfleet communicators and each took a biosign masking device.
"This will alter our biosigns and mask them from the stations internal sensors... for now.", he said as he attached the device bellow his shirt and activated it just like the two of his guards did too.
After he grabbed a phaser out of the drawer the three of them made way to the main computer terminal in his office.
"You two keep a watch at the door", he said throwing a tricoder to one of them, "If you notice any anomalous reading at all let me know right away, as it is not impossible for the invaders to use some sort of biomasking signals as well", he said
After the two guards went to watch the door he went over to his computer terminal which was not a part of the stations main computer core and initiated the procedures to destroy all data in the computer. After he started the procedure he went over to the door to join the 2 guards.
"We must make way to the lower levels of the facility, where the civilians live... we should be safe down there as it is logical that the invaders will want to secure Starfleet controlled parts of the station first.", Saarok said as the trio made way out of the embassy which was by now cleared out as the staff most likely obeyed the instructions that came over the comm. system.

Zoilip tried to walk as nonchalantly as possible as he passed through the Arcade. By now many of the civilians were starting to re-emerge from the shelters and rooms. The massive attack from space they had been expecting had not appeared, but nor had they heard anything from Operations. They milled around in confusion but as there were no sounds of battle began to resume their lives. Zoilip noticed however that the Security Station was empty and there didnt seem to be any patrols. He surmised that once in control of Ops that the enemy had beamed all the security staff to... he paused, would they go so far as to beam them into space!!!! He shuddered at the thought.
=^= Attention residents of Starbase Assailant. This is Commander Tanok representing the Debrune New Order Imperium. This station is no longer under the control of the Federation. Command has past to its rightful owners - the Debrune. Supreme Elder Jak'tel wishes you all to know that you are safe and will be respected. This is not a violent occupation this is a righting of a wrong. From this day forth you are citizens of the New Imperium. Anybody wishing to leave should proceed immediatly to the Customs area where staff will organise transport off the station.
In the interests of your safety we are declaring a curfew between 6pm and 6am. NO ONE is permitted out of their quarters in that time.
Any Starfleet Officers of Federation Diplomats should immediatly report to their nearest security office and measures will be made to return you to the Federation.
Please do not be alarmed by Romulan Soldiers present - they are assisting the Debrune in this transition and will be happy to help where they can.=^=
Zoilip rolled his eyes, how dumb did Tanok think they were. He quickened his pace and headed for the turbolift, the doors opened and he was nearly bowled over by three men.
"Saarok" He called as he noticed the Vulcan. The man turned round. "Zoilip... so they didnt get you yet then." "No" he replied in hushed tones, "Where you headed?" Saarok shrugged, "The lower levels for now." Zoilip shook his head, they have teams all over the place. We need to meet up with other teams. I m headed to teh Victory, they should still be okay." Saarok paused a moment and then nodded, "Lead teh way."

When Ezdreiana heard the comm system activate she had hoped that it would of been the voice of Admiral Lin or Loskene, but it was that of a Debrune commander. Ezdreiana had not gotten to know her Debrune counterparts very well, but when he finished speaking she couldn't help but snort at his words.
Did he think them stupid. If they gave themselves up the Romulans would surely take them prisoner or kill them on site. She could not, would not take that chance.
"Commander can you order your security teams to meet us here," Ezdreiana asked Commander Cir'Kem.
<Tag Nika>
"I have a feeling that we will...." Ezderiana began to say, but stopped when she noticed a couple of people coming towards them. "Arm yourselfs!"
Ezdreiana got to the best defensive position and waited to see who it was. Luckily for them Ezdreiana noticed that a Starfleet Commander and Ambassador Saarok were coming towards them.
"Weapons down," Ezdreiana said as she got up and met up with the Commander and Ambassador.
"Well this is getting better, Commander Cir'Kem is getting us some more formidale weapons," Ezdreiana said," what is our next move, Commander?"
