Luke paced his quarters, occassionally muttering darkly under his breath. Tras had been on the Scavenger for a little over two days now and the previous ACO of the vessel had generally kept himself in his quarters for fear of murdering the upstart. He had tried several times to get in contact with Command but to no avail, apparanlty all ears towards the Commander were deaf.
He had also made attempts to contact the crew of the Tiger Shark, any of them. But as far as he could tell all inter-stellar communications that he tried to make were being blocked, he assumed by the very Bridge he had only recently sat in the Command chair of.
He saw no reason for any of this, technically he was under no form of arrest, he merely did not retain Command of the Scavenger any more, this being said he should have been allowed to make any form of communication that he wished. But once again he feared for the lives who might cross him in his present state if he were to leave the safety of his quarters.
He stopped the pacing of his room and slouched down onto his bed, staring at the model of the Akira Class Tiger Shark. Things were simpler back then. Funny how twenty odd years of war and a slingshot back to the past could alter your perception on things. He pressed the small red button on the deflector of the model Tiger Shark and immediately a holographic map sprung from the top of the vessel. A small blinking light told him that the Tiger Shark was still in dock at Bellicose, he knew how she felt. Closing the map down he lay down and shut his eyes.
"Why do this to yourself?" He asked aloud. "Just let go."
His thoughts were interupted by the voice of none other then Captain Tras himself. Luke sighed, there was something unbelievably annoying about the young cocky individual, maybe he was just old.
=^= This is Captain Tras, Temporary Commanding Officer of the U.S.S. Scavenger. I am calling a briefing to begin at 1100 hours. Do not be late, Ambassadorial Suite 3 =^=
"Ponse." Luke muttered. "What's he want to go in Suite 3 for? Briefing Room not good enough for him?"
"Oh I am definately losing it." He thought, rolling his eyes in disgust.

Tras steepled his fingers before him on his desk as he peered at the scrolling text on his monitor. So far things were going excellent, and nobody suspected anything. The only problem would be his predecessor, Drago but even there Tras didn't think there would be any problems.
So far, Drago had seemed capable of avoiding him, but no more playing games now. But no more, he thought as he got up from his seat and paged the entire senior staff to report to Ambassadorial Suite Three. He felt his chair push against his legs as he got up, rolling the seat backwards on it's wheels.
He transferred the text he had been reading to a PADD and kept reading while he tracked his way to the designated suite. Once there he seated himself on the couch and waited for the rest to arrive.
Once they did, he just glanced at them, all without speaking. And he remained silent for quite an amount of time, just observing his new crew.

Pride: Walked into Ambassadorial Suite Three he saw Captain Tras sitting on the couch now want to sit next to him he remained standing. He noticed the captain was studying something on his pad. Thinking to himself I wonder whats on that pad making a note of it he remained quite. He was sure that he was going to hear about his comments from early but in his mind he would do it again he didn't like this captain he didn't respect him but he kept those feelings to him self. Not know if Commander drago was coming to this meeting he had made a decision one that might get him in trouble later.
pride: had tied his commbadge into commander drago quarters. He had made sure to reroute the signal throught differnt systems it would take someone days to figure it out. He didn't like the idea of drago being left out. He was hoping drago wouldn't get mad at him he had taken a big chance but he wanted his commander and the rightful captain of scavenger to know what was going on with his ship. Still waiting for Captain Tras to say something pride continued to stand and wait for the others to arrive.

Luke had finally decided to leave his quarters and head to the Suite. Just as he was leaving his quarters the light on his desk computer flashed signally he had an incomming transmission. He sat down and stared at the information. According to the read-out it stated that he was receving an open comm link from Lt. Pride.
"Computer where is Lt. Pride?" He asked.
=^= Lt. Pride is located in Ambassadorial Suite 3 =^=
Luke smiled. "Who is he with?"
=^= Captain Tras =^=
"Anyone else?"
=^= Negative =^=
So the rest of the Senior staff had yet to arrive... He pressed a few controls on the console which allowed Luke to listen to what was going on in the Briefing but the signal would only be one way, no one would be able to hear him.
With this done he settled back in his chair and waited for the show to begin...

=^= This is Captain Tras, Temporary Commanding Officer of the U.S.S. Scavenger. I am calling a briefing to begin at 1100 hours. Do not be late, Ambassadorial Suite 3 =^=
Illito glanced up at the ceiling hearing the unfamiliar voice summoning everyone for a mission briefing, as if she could find some sort of explanation there. She didn't, of course, so she didn't understand why Captain Drago wouldn't be commanding the Scavenger.
Illito went into her office briefly. “Computer, locate Captain Drago.”
“Captain Drago is in his quarters,” the computer replied.
Illito frowned, she didn't see why, if the Captain was on the ship he wouldn't be the one calling the briefing. But she didn't know. Perhaps some sort of emergency had come up or something. But whatever, the decisions of command were just that, decisions she had no place objecting to.
Illito arrived outside the Ambassadorial Suite 3 a little bit before 1100, then entered. She saw Pride already there, just standing, since there didn't seem to be any place to sit without being too informal. “Hey,” she said to him, smiling softly, then turning slightly more professional, “Lieutenant.” The slight smile faded as she looked at the temporary commanding officer of the Scavenger. “Captain,” she said seriously, attempting to politely inform Tras of her presence.

Tras followed Pride's movements with his eyes only, remaining silent the whole time. When the Cardassian doctor arrived, he turned ever so slightly to look up at her. She looked beautiful, for a Cardassian. Joseph Tras didn't have much experience with Cardassians, but he'd come to know this particular one as a very competent doctor he might actually entrust his life to.
"Please sit doctor," he spoke up, his voice so soft she had to strain her ears to hear him. He didn't like raising his voice if there was no need to, but his entire attitude showed superiority. A smug smile played around his lips as he gestured Illito to her seat. "Where is everyone else?" He made a show of checking his chronometer. "It is 1101, the rest of the crew is late. I specifically said 1100, allowing for sleeping in or prior duties. Are you two generally the only ones on time?"
He leaned back in his seat, tapping the console on the table. "Computer please make note of the fact that apart from Lieutenant Desert Pride and Doctor Illito Tintagel, none of the senior staff showed up on time for the briefing."
*Noted* the computer responded monotonically.
"Not even the previous commanding officer showed up. How sad indeed," Tras spoke, in the same soft tone, "I may need to make mention of that too. And where is the first officer?"

For some reason, Paikea decided to ignore the message he had heard over the comm. He currently was performing a very important experiment which needed his attention. It would cause him to be a little bit late but Luke would understand. Well he hoped that he would understand.
After about another five minutes of tinkering with the controls, Paikea left the experiment to Zach and headed towards the Ambassador suite which in itself was strange. When he arrived he was happy to see that Katie and Xerin had yet to enter.
"Why are you two waiting out here?" Paikea asked.
"We are not waiting we just go here," Xerin replied.
"If that is the case lets go in," Paikea said entering the suite. When he entered he distinctly heard a commander say something about the senior staff not showing up on time. He immediately checked the time and saw that it was on 1102.
Paikea looked at Illito with confusion, but she said nothing as she took her seat. The commander who Paikea realized was now ACO, said something to the effect of Semia's absence, caused Paikea to snort a laugh. No one not even T'Mar had been able to straighten her out.
"Sir pardon for asking, but why are you in command?" Paikea asked," Captain Drago is a capable captain and I think we proved ourselves capable in the last mission we performed."

Illito glanced at Lt. Pride, her previous cheerfulness replaced by slight annoyance and unease. Illito just assumed, since there wasn't any polite way to answer Captain Tras' question, that he was simply being rhetorical. At least she hoped that was the case, since if she was going to be asked about every non-regulation thing anyone from the senior staff did, this was going to be a very long mission briefing.
Pai entered soon then, with Xerin and Katie near him. Illito hoped the presence of more people would relieve some of the obvious tension with Captain Tras, but she guessed that must have been too much to hope for. Of course, things seemed to be getting even more awkward, as Pai started to question command decisions.
Illito was vaguely curious about how Captain Tras would answer, but actually more concerned that Pai would get in trouble for asking. After all, it didn't seem that Captain Tras would take kindly to having any of his decisions questioned. It could be that Illito was wrong, but unless Captain Tras had just been affecting an aura of disdain he didn't really feel and was about to drop it, Illito was thinking this wasn't going to be the most fun mission she'd ever been on. Still, it would, probably, be better than her academy mission, so at least she had that to look to.
Illito glanced at Pai then at Captain Tras, to see if a response was forthcoming. And she wondered if he was going to start the mission briefing without the first officer, or if Tras was planning on waiting for Semia.

Pride: interrupeted Captain Tras before he could finish his comments about the crew being late. " Sir that might be my fault I was working on the comm system and shorted it out in some area's of the ship. I effected repairs and your announcement was broadcasted a little later. If the bridge staff is late then its my fault" Waiting for a repyl pride looked a Illito and smile he couldn't help himself " Good day commander I hope things are quite"<Tag Illito> with a smile he couldn't hide.
Pride: Still didn't like the way the captain was looking at Illito and was trying to keep it to himself. When the Commander Paikea arrived and asked his question about why he was in command and not Commander Drago " Excuse me Commander I to have question but most importantly why havent we seen the order confirming the change of command and verifyed with starfleet command as of right now Commander Drago is still in command until starfleet can confirm the orders and with the comm system down for the next 24 hrs for repairs that might take a while" Speaking up loud enough for drago to hear hoping he got the hint you've got 24 hrs to figure out whats going on here
Pride: Could tell Captain Tras was starting to loose his temper with him and he was going to let him know it. Looking back at Illito and smiling alittle turning back to Captain Tras " Its simple sir I have a right to confirm your orders to take command I have 24hrs to do it in If I cant not contradict your orders then they stand since comm is down for the next 24 hrs Commander Drago is in command until starfleet can be reached or no new orders are saying differnt so in short Captain until comms come up Drago Commands and last time I checked he didn't call a staff meeting althought you can challenge this and have me arrested in which case I demand council and immeditate trial in which case this ship is required to return to starbase no matter its current mission or you can wait 24 hrs take command and remind me how foolish I am"<Tag Tras>

Tras' eyes flashed, but that was the only emotion that showed on his face as he glanced at the Trill/Vulcan halfbreed officer. "I am in command because Starfleet put me here," he answered gently, "Admiral Magellan Lin himself has put me in command of this vessel, deeming Commander Drago unfit for the pressures of command."
Moving his eyes only, he glanced at Pride. "Watch it lieutenant, you are very close to being insubordinate." When the lieutenant didn't back down, Tras' only additional movement was his hand going up to his chest to tap his combadge. "Computer, beam Lieutenant Desert Pride to the bridge. Charges are insubordination."
Instantly, Pride shimmered out of existance in the ambassadorial suite. "Does anyone else wish to question my appointment to command? Please do so now, but at your own risk. Now, let's proceed with the briefing, I am not going to wait forever until the senior staff finally shows up. I don't know what was policy under previous captains, but when I call a time, I expect every one to be there well before said time."

Luke could hardly believe what he was hearing. This Tras sure had a stick shoved right up his...
=^= Computer, beam Lieutenant Desert Pride to the brig. Charges are insubordination =^= Tras' voice stated over the comm.
"Oh come on!" He yelled. "Insubordination?!"
Luke rose to his feet and sighed, the comm link Pride had set up was obviously of no use to Luke now. He was in no mood for confrontation but it appeared that confrontation was what was going to happen none the less.
"Computer, site to site transport - Ambassadorial Suite 3 on my mark."
=^= Confirmed =^=
If Tras wanted to play with transporters then so could he. In a way Luke was still in slight shock over the way Tras was behaving. What could he possibly gain by agitating the crew? Although... Luke was pretty sure he had done a good job of that himself over the past few weeks...
Snapping himself out of the mindless day-dreaming he turned his attention to the present situation.
"Mark." He said aloud and was immediately surrounded by the blue mist and the faint whine of the transporter. Within seconds he had rematerialized in the Suite, facing Tras.
"What the hell do you think you're playing at?!" He exclaimed, paying no attention to the startled Senior Staff around him.

“Yes, things in sickbay are quite a bit calmer than they have been in a while,” Illito answered Pride, her smile reappearing.
When Pride started talking to Captain Tras, Illito thought about trying to interrupt Pride. The Captain's eyes were gaining a look that was pretty...dangerous. But Illito swallowed that thought, since she didn't think anyone would appreciate it, nor would it be likely to help the situation.
Pride glanced at Illito then, and smiled slightly, as if he knew she was planning to object soon, or as if he was asking her to back him up on this. But she couldn't do the latter. At least not until Captain Tras beamed Pride away to the brig. Illito's hands suddenly gripped the side of the chair, as she forced herself not to jump up and get herself in trouble, because that wouldn't actually help at all. Still, letting Captain Tras continue to give orders and generally mock the senior staff didn't exactly make Illito cackle with glee. She thought perhaps she was currently the most angry at a superior officer of hers than she had been. Which was a little odd, since she didn't think much could be worse than having a Captain who defected to the Maquis. But somehow there was something about Captain Tras that made her sure that he thought he was superior. That and the fact that he had just sent her boyfriend to the brig.
“Does anyone else wish to question my appointment to command?” Captain Tras asked.
Illito didn't so much want to question his appointment as to give herself a reason that he would be temporarily medically incapable of performing his duty. Not that she would ever actually do it. Or even think about it for very long. But she did wish the ship had a counselor. Since as far as Illito could tell, the counselor didn't need as medically concrete a reason to remove a captain from duty as the chief medical officer did.
Illito's thoughts were interrupted when Captain Drago materialized in the middle of the ambassadorial suite, to confront Tras. Illito's estimation of Drago went up a few notches, as she was very relived he was not going to simply abandon his crew to Tras, who seemed to want to throw everyone in the brig if possible. But Illito didn't noticeably react to Drago's appearance, since she thought someone should take the responsibility of not annoying the new commanding officer, since it was quite possible he was there for a legitimate reason.

Pride: Was not shocked at all when he felt the transporter take effect and beam him to the brig. He was expecting every since there first encounter pride did not like Captain Tras. He could tell what type of person he was by the way he acted. Pride had learned a good captain will always take care of his crew if the captain didn't then how could he ask his crew to pay the ultimate sacrifce. Captain Tras thought that since he was captain then he was right no matter what.
Pride: Looked around his new home hoping that Illito hadn't done anything he didn't want her in trouble. He cared for her alot and didn't want anybody else getting into trouble he missed her right now and didn't like the fact that she was up there with Captain Tras lucky she wasn't alone with him. Think to himself there's something not right here after there last mission pride was more on guard then ever somebody at starfleet had it in for Commander Drago and he didn't like it. In the short time Drago had been aboard pride had started to like him and respect him the crew always came first he may have a differnt way of doing things but he makes sure that we are always taken care of.
Pride: Knew he was in trouble that he would be facing charges but that didn't scare him. Sometimes you have to do whats right. He wasn't even scared of facing Commander Cavit he was worried about commander Drago now he was on his owne unless somebody else from the crew started to help him. Looking around again and taking a seat to wait what would happen next well if I face charges I have a fair shot of beating them I followed regulations even if they weren't really meant to played this way but lucky for me Captain tras doesn't have that say only a court officer could interput that and make that decision. Taking a seat he thought well I do have one last card to play before heading to the meeting Pride had called home and explained what his plans were and what might happen to him since he was the adoptive son of the ruling famliy they could say something since if things got bad but that wasn't his ace he had run a program throught the helm that would lock all controls and only responded to him or drago if the need arised he had learned alot on the last mission and used some of the command codes to do this until it was activated nobody would know. A Message would be waiting for Commander drago letting him know this and how to activate if the need arised now there was nothing to do but wait. Well if Commander Hope could see me now in the brig he laughed alittle and sat back thinking about Illito and his pet sandy who would be looking for him soon and hoping that he hadn't made things worse for Commander Drago and also thinking that the communications would be coming up in 22hrs and then they would be out of time if everything was true Tras was right then pride would be done. Still theres something not right about this not right at all.

“Does anyone else wish to question my appointment to command?” Captain Tras asked.
Katie sat shocked at the sudden confrontation that was taking place in front of her. She had never seen a Captain act as rash as this new officer was doing. If his idea was to lead with an iron fist he was doing a good job.
Katie could feel her heart racing as the tension was building in the room. Katie reached under the table to get a hold of Paikea's hand but found that his hand was balled up into a fist. She had never seen him so tense before.
Katie watched quietly as she had always done as Commander Drago beamed into the room and started in on the new Captain. Katie knew something had to be done to stop this madness but it seemed nobody else was going to do it.
Tapping on her communicator Katie said, "Security to Ambassadorial Suite 3."

Tras didn't move a muscle when Drago suddenly beamed in. He wouldn't be a very good command officer if a simple beam in startled the living daylights out if him. He sat as though frozen when Drago started his tirade. "What the hell do you think you're playing at?!" Drago yelled, looking as though he was about to explode.
Tras smoothly rose to his feet, forcing Drago to take a single step back. "I am playing at nothing commander Drago. The lieutenant was out of line, I sent him to the brig to cool off. And if you don't show some manners, you might join him."
His gaze wavered to Anderson's direction, his eyes blazing. "Belay that," he ordered, "the situation is well under control." He turned back to Drago. "Isn't it commander?"
He took a deep breath, his eyes never leaving Drago's. "Sit down commander," he ordered, "as it seems my first officer doesn't deem it necessary to show up at a briefing, I am going ahead as planned, seeing that everyone is here now."
Tras walked over to the computer console on the desk, then turned it around so that everyone had a clear view of it. "The Scavenger has been orderd to the planet Karn four. This planet is about to be accepted by the Federation, but there are a few things to be ironed out. What do we know about this planet?"

Katie was shocked at the sudden outburst and angry gaze that was directed at her from the Captain. Katie sunk back into her chair as if she was a little girl who had just been scolded by her father. She felt stupid since she was only trying to help defuse a the situation before it turned into a fight.
Captain Tras started the briefing even with out Commander Cavit present. While Captain Tras continued the briefing Katie sat in the chair second guessing her decision to call security. She knew nobody else had done anything to stop the situation, had she acted too quickly? Katie could tell her attention wasn't on the briefing so she tried to filter out those thoughts and really focus on what the Captain was saying.

Pride: Sat quitely and started to rest him self calming he emotions and sorting through current events he shut the outside world out and started to look for things he might have missed he was sure how long he was going to be there but thought this was a good time to rest before things start to change again. He was wondering what had happened in the briefing if he was going to be allowed vistors. Hopefuly Illito my come by and say hi maybe I can get her to look in on sandy for me.
Pride: Opened his eyes to look around again he could tell security didn't know what to do with him right now. Oh well they'll figure it out besides how often do you see a bridge officer int he brig I'll be the talk of the ship. Thinking again that he would be facing charges pride started to think about who he would get to defend him if anybody would actualy want the job well time for that later sitting back he started to strecht his muscle and relax he wasn't going any place any time soon.

Ok, so he acted impulsively... Beaming into the Suite was hardly his best idea ever and it really had got him nowhere, Tras appeared to be as concerned over Luke's appearance than he would be if he stepped on a bug.
"Sit down Commander." Tras ordered. "As it seems my First Officer doesn't deem it necessary to show up at a briefing, I am going ahead as planned, seeing that everyone is here now."
Luke again was slightly shocked, he had nothing to say to this stuck up individual. He never was usually lost for words, something that any of the old Tiger Shark crew could and would confirm... Especially KezTrek... With this startling discovery in mind Luke sat down as ordered and turned his attention to the smarmy face of Tras. He amused himself mentally by throwing darts at the young Captain's wrinkle and stress-line free face.
Tras walked over to the computer console on the desk, then turned it around so that everyone had a clear view of it. "The Scavenger has been orderd to the planet Karn four. This planet is about to be accepted by the Federation, but there are a few things to be ironed out. What do we know about this planet?"
Luke snorted. "Karn IV has only just developed Warp Drive, I read the report only a week ago. What's the Federation playing at? Civilisations such as these need time before entering the Federation, the culture shock alone is enough to send them back to the stone age."
"That is why we are there to iron things out Commander." Tras said. "As I stated only moments before I believe."
"Do you honestly think that we can prepare the people of that planet for Federation membership in..." Luke got up and looked at the console screen. "Four days?!" He paused and stared at Tras. "What's the hurry?!"

Tras shrugged. "How should I know?" he retorted, "the Federation and Starfleet decided we ought to take a look at that planet. And if we're interfering with their day to day activities it's going to be on their plates, not ours. We do as we're told don't we?"
The young captain turned to face the other attendees of the meeting. "Anyone else? I need information infrastructure, social activities, people management in general. Population, technological level. If they're to be admitted, we might as well give them the full examination."
He turned to Illito. "Doctor, while we're under way, please get crew physicals done, regardles of whether they were done last week, or yesterday for that matter. Apirana, see what you can discover on Karn IV, even things you may deem irrelevant. Anderson work with the science chief please."
He paused, his eyes taking on the hard stare again as he glared at Drago. "For the time being commander, you are to take the helm and set course for Karn IV. I will not tolerate any backtalk from you, or anyone else, is that understood? Pride will be released from the brig in a few hours, after he's had time to overthink how to respond properly to a commanding officer."
He glanced around at the small group of officers. "Dismissed!"

Pride: Opened his eyes there was a change in the ship he could feel it, He couldn't be sure of what it was but something just changed oh well cant worry about it now not like there's anything I can do about. Standing up to strecht his legs looking around and opening himself up to universe and to see if sandy was okay. She was a wake and wondering around his quarters it wouldn't be long before she started to come look for him. The bound between the was strong and life long she would sense that he was being held soon and try to get to him. Hopefuly some one will come by soon so I can find out how long I'm going to be here for.

“Doctor, while we're under way, please get crew physicals done, regardless of whether they were done last week, or yesterday for that matter,” Captain Tras said.
Illito watched him as he continued to give out orders, her face expressionless. There were obvious...impracticalities associated with the Captain's orders, impracticalities that he had to be aware of. For example, the simple fact that she couldn't perform a physical of every single person on the ship in any kind of reasonable amount of time if the medical staff tried to do everyone at once. Not to mention the fact that she would have this exact same problem when it came time to do the physicals next time. There was a reason Starfleet policy was that sickbay physicals were staggered throughout the year. But Captain Tras had dismissed the meeting before she had any choice to talk about the orders during a time when it would be most practical to request clarification.
As the crew scattered, few people wanting to stick around in the Ambassadorial suite longer than they had to, Illito realized that this order from the Captain, even if she got it narrowed down, wouldn't leave her time to talk to Pride while he was stuck in the brig. But she supposed it was fortunate that he would be allowed out soon. A part of her admired him for defying authority, but another part of her didn't understand it, and wished he would have just obeyed orders.
“Captain?” Illito asked after he had dismissed everyone. “If you have a moment, I'd like to ask you something about your orders, sir,” she said. She waited to see if he was going to reply to that, rather than just continuing, since she supposed if he didn't want to hear any questions, then it would be left up to her to interpret his orders to the best of her abilities.

"Yes?" Tras replied, turning to face the gorgeous Cardassian woman, "are you questioning my orders too?" Tras had the distinct impression that nobody liked him of this crew, not that he particularly cared. He wasn't here to be buddy-buddy with people, but to get a job done and if that antagonized the crew against him, then so be it.
When she shook her head, he invited her to sit back down, while the rest of the senior staff filed out the room. "Then what can I do for you doctor? What part of my orders isn't clear to you?"
(Illito)
After his talk with Illito, Tras sedately walked through the Scavenger's corridors down to the brig area. He motioned for the guard to leave while he approached the cell holding the chief navigator. "What were you thinking," Tras demanded, "never ever question my orders in front of others. You wouldn't want me to do that to you either, it is extremely rude. Have you sufficiently calmed down?"
Tras deactivated the forcefield. "Outside duty times, you are restricted to your quarters until we reach our destination. After that you will run double shifts for the duration of this mission. Understood?"
(Pride)
"Good, then you are released to your quarters for now. Commander Drago is piloting us to Kahn IV, your orders are to evaluate his performance. And I'm ordering you to be as objective as possible, I know Drago is a well-liked individual. Maybe a bit too well-liked. Understood?"

Pride: Was sitting centering himself when he felt Captain Tras walk in to the brig he knew who it was before he even opened his eyes. When Captain Tras spoke he still had that stuck up attitude "What were you thinking," Opening his eye's and looking at Captain " Sir there's nobody here just you and me so lets be honest you really dont care what I'm thinking or why I did what I did if you had then you wouldn't of acted the way you did you didn't want anybody questioning you no matter whats been happening aboard this ship. Also if you had read the mission logs from our last mission then you might have understood why I acted like I did sir" <Tag Tras>
"never ever question my orders in front of others. You wouldn't want me to do that to you either, it is extremely rude. Have you sufficiently calmed down?" Looking back at Captain Tras once again " Yes sir I'm quite calm now I will obey your orders and do my job"
"Outside duty times, you are restricted to your quarters until we reach our destination. After that you will run double shifts for the duration of this mission. Understood?" looking captain Tras in the eyes " yes sir quite clear I will remain in my quarters until called for and run double shifts when needed"
"Good, then you are released to your quarters for now. Commander Drago is piloting us to Kahn IV, your orders are to evaluate his performance. And I'm ordering you to be as objective as possible, I know Drago is a well-liked individual. Maybe a bit too well-liked. Understood?"
Exiting his cell Pride turned and looked at Captain Tras " Sir I will do my job obey your orders not question you in front of the crew I will work the double shift confine my self to my quarter and evaluate Commander Drago performance as objectively as possible. I will not how ever have you tell me that my like or dislike for anybody aboard this ship is any of your business if you are in the habit of telling people how they must feel about person then I choose to remain here in the brig. I will do my job I will obey your orders to the letter and follow where you lead but I will not have you tell me how much I can like someone no matter who it is. Futher more sir if you wish things to go smoothly you might want to try to be alittle more tactitful when dealing with us you might find alot less problems to deal with then the one's you already have but thats only a suggestion sir Now are we okay with this or should I walk back into my cell" <Tag Tras>

“Then what can I do for you doctor? What part of my orders isn't clear to you?”
“I just wanted to know if you wanted me to, for the physicals, concentrate at first on senior staff members for the physical, or start with crew members, of any rank, who haven't had a sickbay physical recently,” Illito explained her query. “Since it's going to take a while to get them all done, I thought you might have an opinion on where I should start.” Illito shrugged slightly. She could have made this decision on her own, but given the current Captain's apparent liking of people following his orders exactly, it was probably a better idea to make sure she had the orders right.

“Thank you for your time,” Illito said, after Tras had answered her question. Then a carefully controlled smile, as if to say she didn't hate him completely. As if to say that. “Well, I better get to work then.” Then, cautious, it was a duty she kind of had to ask about but wasn't expecting a very positive answer from Captain Tras about. “So when can I expect you in sickbay for your own physical?”

“Thank you,” Illito repeated, and stood up, heading for the door. She wanted to stop by and talk to Pride before going to sickbay, but it appeared she wasn't the only one with that plan. Hopefully Captain Tras planned to release Pride, since Pride hadn't done anything deserving being stuck in the bridge.
Instead Illito entered sickbay. “Ensign Martins, could you please help prepare sickbay for a lot of physicals.”
“I thought we did everyone who was scheduled for today, doctor,” Martins replied.
“The schedule changed,” Illito answered. “Captain's orders.”
“Ah,” said Martins, deciding not to comment apart from that.
“Thanks,” Illito said, then entered her office. “Computer,” she said, “Inform me when Lieutenant Pride leaves the brig area.”
“Yes,” the computer replied, its voice so toneless that it almost made Illito smile with that fact alone. Instead she tapped her commbadge to issue the first, of many, summons to sickbay.

At the briefing
Tras frowned as the CMO questioned him about his physical orders. "What do you think doctor?" he shot back, "I would think the senior staff would be the most important. Start with alpha shift, then work your way past the shifts."
When Illito asked him when he could be expected for his physical, he issued his first genuine smile. Quietly and tenderly, he ran the back of his hand past her cheeck. "For you dear doctor? In a few minutes, as soon as I've seen to something important."
Tras turned his back on the stunned, if not annoyed Cardassian.
Brig
"Are you daft?" Tras asked, looking mock-surprised then his eyes narrowed again. "You will return to your quarters, and report for your first shift in an hour. When your shift commences you will hover over Drago like an annoying instructor and you will report everything he does correctly and everything he does wrong. And no I can't tell you who to like or not to like, but I can tell you how to do your job."
(Pride)
Tras stood almost nose to nose with the navigator. "Dismissed!" he barked, then marched towards sickbay. "Ahh dear doctor, are we ready for the physicals?"
(Illito)
back on the bridge
"Why aren't we on our way yet to Karn IV, Commander Drago?" Tras snapped as he sat down in the command chair, "set course...and step on it!"
