" Until tonight my dear dont worry to much I promise no more shuttle crashing for a while"
“And take it easy; you have a medical excuse not to work too hard,” Illito said. She felt like she was nagging, but she did care for Pride and the worrying seemed to be a part of that. She did try to say it with a slightly light tone though, because she didn't want to show just how much she was worried about him, and how scared she had been that she would lose him.
After Pride had left, Illito went back to working on general sickbay inventory. She noticed that sickbay was running a little low on Biomemetic Gel, still within acceptable limits, but she would probably have to reorder soon. Which would mean a complicated stack of paperwork explaining each way she had used even the smallest portion of the last supply, to make sure that doctors were keeping watch over the medicine. Which meant Illito may as well start work on that now, since it was going to take a while.
Illito picked up a PADD that had been downloading some of the information from a console, and went into her office to start work. She hoped she was wrong, and that this wouldn't take much time at all, but she knew better than to count on that. And she was quite willing to be interrupted by anyone at this point.

Things were not looking very good at the moment for the science officer. He was frustrated with the events of the last few days. Things did not go at all well with Captain Tras, Captain Tras and Commander Drago were at throats, and for some reason the Scavenger was almost destroyed. As science officer it was his job to find out the latter which was not really easy.
"Katie how are the sensors coming?" Paikea asked," and if possible can you give me a little more power to the engine stabilizers. We can't risk another incident right now."
<Tag Katie>
"I'm not buying that this is a natural event warp corp going nuts and the power drain on the shuttle it doesn't happen all at the same time not buy a long shot. Looking at the both of them I'm a pilot my understanding is limited to that of a pilot's aspect I need help guys this doesn't make sense right now"
"I agree with you, but I don't think I will know anytime soon," Paikea responded," the sensors were overloaded when the warp core went crazy. I'm trying to twink them, but it's taking a while."
"Hey Semia, have Drago or Captain Tras contacted the ship since they headed toward the captial?" Paikea asked hoping for better news.

Joseph Tras glared at the older officer. "Like hell we're going to fail at this," he snarled, "we're going to give this our best efforts. You and I can do this, together, is that clear?"
He sat back in sudden silence, letting Drago pilot the shuttle towards the capital city. He was quite anxious to see who would be waiting for them, and how long she'd been waiting. Drago of course didn't know there was someone at the capital city waiting for him, someone he knew quite well. Nor did he want to share his private life with this obstinate commander.
"Just land us and we'll see what we can do, hm?" he challenged, as he rubbed two fingers against his temples, willing his headache and vertigo to go away. "I'll tell you now, this mission is giving me a real headache, and Pride's stunt, however brave, didn't help us any. Any other than bringing a male and a female officer closer together."
This time, Tras offered a genuine smile. "They're rather cute together, don't you think?"

Luke didn't quite no what to say to Tras' last comment so he just ignored it. The Captain's mood swings threw Luke totally, he had no idea where he stood with the erratic Officer.
"We will be landing in approximately 2minutes." Luke said. "I will inform the Scavenger."
"Very good, I will be reading over the Government structure once more, just to clarify a few things in my head."
Luke nodded in response and carefully noted how Tras still cradled his head every so often.
"I didn't hit him that hard." Luke muttered. Something was definately amiss.
He opened a secure channel to the Scavenger and awaited their response.
"Scavenger this is Drago, please respond."
=^= Apirana here. Go ahead Sir =^=
"Where is Cavit, Commander?" Luke asked.
=^= She went into the Ready Room about 15minutes ago, haven't heard from her since =^=
Luke scowled. "Very well. I am just about to land the Shuttle at the designated coordinates. Please keep a lock on our life signs at all times, I don't trust this whole set up."
=^= Sir? =^= Apirana enquired.
"I feel disturbingly uncomfortable here." Luke replied, aware this was not a good answer. "And we were intercepted by an unknown vessel during the rescue of Pride. Something is just out of place, and Tras is acting even more strangey. Which leads me to my next request." Luke paused and lowered the tone of his voice. "I want you to get snooping Commander, let Miss Anderson to help you and if possible Pride and Tintagel. I want everything you can lay your hands on about Tras, anything. Nothing is too small a detail. Understood?"
<TAG Apirana>
"Very good Commander. Expect another communique from myself within the hour. Drago out."
Minutes after Luke finished his conversation with Apirana, the Shuttle had landed on Karn IV and Luke and Tras were walking fairly quickly towards a large building, in fact the only one for miles around.
"Nice welcoming committee." Luke remarked, the local area was totally diserted, not a person or animal was to be seen nor sound heard. Only the wind kept them company. The day was pleasant enough, the sun was shining but the strong wind brought a chill. Luke managed to stiffle a shiver.
"Uniforms not as thick as they used to be aye?" Tras said. Luke wasn't sure whether he was mocking or being sincere. He offered no response.
It took less than five minutes to walk from the landing pad to the imposing building. Luke could scarcely believe its size. What could it possibly be?
"Do you think we have to knock?" Luke asked, grinning as they stood at the giant wooden doors.

This time, Tras actually smirked at the commander. "Are you kidding? We are expected my dear Drago." He pushed open the door and with a flourish invited Drago to go first. "After you commander," he offered, though his eyes no longer held the earlier amused spark. He walked in after Drago, taking care to hide the unbalanced feeling he was experiencing.
His headaches were getting worse by the minute, and he had to concentrate hard to keep his balance. He froze when he finally spotted the woman who'd been waiting for him here. She looked pale, but otherwise unharmed. "Mother," he whispered, resisting the urge to rush up to her and embrace her. He glared at the male standing beside her, knowing that with any wrong move made, she'd be dead before they could act.
Tras yanked Drago back by his arm. "Don't do anything stupid," he hissed, "just follow my lead. And under no circumstance draw your phaser, understood?" He glared at Drago, a grim expression adorning his otherwise hansome face. "Is that understood, Commander Drago," he repeated, tightening his vice-like grip on the man's arm.
At Drago's mute nod, he released Drago then turned towards the gathered Karnians. "Greetings," he spoke up, "my name is Captain Joseph Tras, and my collegue here is Commander Luke Drago. We both are officers in Starfleet, in service of the United Federation of Planets. We have come to negotiate the possebility of Karn becoming a member of the Federation. What are your arguments to enter?"
He cast a glance towards his mother, who stood mutely watching the procedure. He dearly hoped she was all right, or people would pay for it.

Luke couldn't help but flinch when Tras grabbed his arm. The whole situation was extremely disturbing, what was hen playing at?
"Don't do anything stupid," He hissed. "Just follow my lead. And under no circumstance draw your phaser, understood?" He glared at Drago, a grim expression adorning his otherwise hansome face. "Is that understood, Commander Drago?"
Luke nodded silently. Something was most definately wrong, and he did not appreciate being manhandled and threatened. He would get to the bottom of this.
Within seconds of Tras releasing Drago he was back to his usual smarmy self. Luke plastered a smile on his face and walked forward to shake the delegates hands. After a brief explanation of what this was and why it was practiced the two Starfleet Officers were directed into a cavernous hall with a small (ridiculously small compared to the size of the room) in the centre. They were told to sit down, the Karnians speaking in Terran, and very well too, which concerned Luke. It wasn't a major thing in itself, but this mission was getting wierder and wierder and despite Tras' calm exterior Luke saw in his eyes a look of fear and concern. What the hell was going on here?!
"Well." Luke began, when everyone had taken their seats and drinks of various kinds had been offered round. Luke had picked up a glass of an orange coloured liquid that smelt like coffee. He took a sip and was delighted to find that it was in fact, for all intensive purposes, iced coffee. Not at all like the hot stuff, but it would do. "We are all aware of why we are gathered here today. Perhaps it would be wise, as Captain Tras said, to raise the issue of why you believe it is a good plan of action for Karn IV to be accepted into the Federation."
The time went on, Luke could feel his eyelids drooping. Diplomacy was not his thing. Several hours later, with several more glasses of the coffee-like beverage and it appeared that they were no closer to getting on a neutral ground for Federation Membership. The Karnians were expecting a Starfleet Task Force to remain in the Sector as part of the treaty and would not explain why, Luke was beginning to get frustrated.
"I will not, and cannot, accept that you just fancy the idea of having a full blown Military Task Force in your back-yard for the sake of it!" He said, his voice beginning to show the strain this meeting was having on him.
"Commander." Tras said warningly.
"What?!" Luke snapped, before realising just how foolish he was being. This wasn't his strong suit, why hadn't they sent someone with more of a calm nature?! "Perhaps it would be wise for a short recess?!" He said, composure now regained.
Tras nodded in approval, the Karnians also in agreement. Drago and the good Captain were shown to small guest rooms and were informed that they were allowed to look around as much as they pleased and would be contacted when the negotiations were to resume. Luke collapsed onto the bed, his legs well and truly hanging off the end. The Karnians were a surprisingly small species. He sat bolt up right, a thought had just pounced upon him.
He tapped his comm badge, opening a channel to the Scavenger, glad that Tras was not in the room.
=^= This is Apirana, go ahead Commander =^=
"I am going to get hold of an image within the next 30minutes Commander, I need you to analyse it and see if we have matches on record."
=^= Yes Sir. May I ask why? =^=
"Tras. the Karnians and this individual are all linked somehow, that's why we're here. And I want to know what that link is. How is the research into Tras going?"
<TAG Apirana>
"Very good Commander, keep me appraised of any further updates. I will contact you again as soon as I have that image. Drago out.
Luke got to his feet and brushed away the creases on his Uniform. Checking his phaser was still securely holstered he exited the guest room and headed for the entrance chamber, that's where he would begin his search. He wondered how Tras was using his time to rest...

Tras paced his temporary quarters like a caged animal. He had expected to see his mother here, but not like this. Not as a hostage to these people. And he had no idea how to save her, yet he didn't feel he could discuss this with Drago. The commander was too hot-tempered and impulsive for that.
He continued pacing until he felt too dizzy to continue. He thought about needing medical help, about going to the nurse Illito had sent along with them. But he didn't go see her, instead he lay down on the bed and closed his eyes in resignation. There was nothing he could do, other than confide in the impulsive commander.
When he opened the door he found his way barred by a soldier, so he stepped back in. "Tras to Drago. I want you to walk out your door, and report back to me what is happening."
<drago>
"Yes that seems so. My door is barred as well. I am in no condition to fight my way out commander. And I certainly am in no condition to even attempt to fire my phaser. I am open to suggestions."
<drago>
"I'll contact Scavenger and tell them to keep a lock on us, and stand ready to beam us out. Yes I know it's dangerous, hence we took a shuttle. But right now it's our only option!" He shuddered at the thought of using a transporter, finding them hideous means of transportation. They were a necessary evil he'd rather not use if possible.

Just as Luke was about to step from the small guest room his comm badge chirped. It wouldn't be the Scavenger already, so he prepared himself mentally for the abusive tones of Tras. Sure enough the Captain's voice barked through the communicator. He wans't even angry about anything, as far as Luke could tell, currently. Maybe he was just an angry individual, Luke could relate to that in a bizarre way...
=^= Tras to Drago. I want you to walk out your door, and report back to me what is happening =^=
Luke sighed. He could harldy wait until that man left their company. He did, however, obey the Captain and exited the room, partly because he was going to anyway, partly because he couldn't be bothered to argue. He almost walked into the large, building-like individual standing outside his room, he slowly walked back in. The man outside not moving a muscle.
"Yeah, there's some sort of Security Guard out there." Luke responded to Tras. "It would appear that our esteemed hosts do not want us wandering about."
=^= Yes that seems so. My door is barred as well. I am in no condition to fight my way out commander. And I certainly am in no condition to even attempt to fire my phaser. I am open to suggestions =^=
Luke was puzzled by this cyptic response. What did he want Luke to do?
"You want me to force my way out?" Luke asked, what possible reason could there be behind this? "This could go terribly wrong Captain and I want to know why you are asking me to do this as soon as I get you out of your quarters and why you are incapable of helping yourself."
Tras clearly heard Luke but chose to ignore to them. =^= I'll contact Scavenger and tell them to keep a lock on us, and stand ready to beam us out. Yes I know it's dangerous, hence we took a shuttle. But right now it's our only option! =^=
Luke didn't respond but closed the link, he wasn't getting more and more annoyed with the whole damn situation. Tras had a lot of questions to answer, as did the Karnians.
"Excuse me?" He said, as he pushed the door open. The guard turned round just in time to see Luke's fist impact between his eyes. The man fell back slighlty dazed but remained on his feet. Luke swore. "So you're not local then?" Luke mused as he drew his phaser, firing one stun shot, then two on the mans chest. Just to make sure. He slumped to the floor with a groan and Luke casually stepped over him. With that he turned the bend in the hall and took out the guard outside Tras' room with two similar shots to the chest. The door gingerly opened and Tras' head poked put.
"Explain." Luke said, his eyes squinting, poison thoughs being shot mentally at Tras.

"Explain what?" Tras asked as he stepped outside, carefully avoiding the guard's unconscious body. He noticed the murderous glance Drago shot him and held his breath for a few seconds. "I never asked you to break out of your quarters Commander Drago," he added, "you never let me finish my report to you. Perhaps next time you'll wait and listen before cutting communications. However since we are out now, perhaps we should do some exploring."
He noticed Drago wasn't following as he started walking. "Unless you want to stay here and wait until those goons wake up?" he raised an eyebrow at Drago. "No I didn't think so. I'll try to explain why I wanted you to stay put during that meeting, because I have a feeling you'll be extracting that information from me sooner or later."
The two men walked on, at as brisk a pace as possible. "You saw the older woman with the delegation?" At Drago's nod he offered a grim smile. "That's my mother. They're holding her hostage, but they don't know that she is my mother. They have not seen me for years and as my mother has taken on her maiden name after my father left us for another woman, they'll not tie her name to mine."
He stopped as Drago yanked him to a halt and slammed him against the nearest wall. "I'll grant you that one commander, as I see it's justified. However, this mission is not a ruse. The diplomatic talks are real. Getting my mother back is just a side mission, but no less important." Then his usual stern expression returned to his face. "But only this once will I allow this commander. The next time you'll not get away with it. Now, let's move!"

Luke let Tras slip against the wall. He heaved a deep sigh and looked directly at the man, eyes not blinking, gaze not faltering.
"Tell me what is going on here Captain. I am playing no more part in this until I find out what the situation is. I also want to know your personal condition, physically and emotionally."
Luke stopped talking, aware that he and Tras were standing in the middle of a corridor which in all fairness was probably being watched.
"Perhaps your room might be an idea?" Luke suggested.
"I would imagine it will make no difference, we will be under serveilance and those guards will soon be replaced and us arrested." Tras replied.
"I'll rephrase that." Luke said stepping forward, eyes steely and face set. "Let's go into your room, Captain."
Tras nodded and walked through the manual door first, followed by Luke who walked backwards phaser drawn.
"Now talk. Like you said I don't imagine that we have much time."

"Katie how are the sensors coming?" Paikea asked," and if possible can you give me a little more power to the engine stabilizers. We can't risk another incident right now."
Katie walked quickly over to her station so she could give Pai a correct report.
"The sensors are almost complete." Katie said.
She took a moment to look over the ships power systems before adjusting them more for Paikea's needs.
"There that should do it." Katie said.

Tras inhaled deeply and prepared an angry retort, but then he sighed and for the first time since they'd met, Drago had the impression Tras looked defeated. He preceded the commander into the quarters he'd occupied earlier and sat down on the bed. "You want to know what's going on?" he scampered, "your guess is as good as mine commander. How should I know why they're holding my mother hostage? I knew she'd be here and I was indeed looking forward to meeting her again after all these years of separation. Yes we had departed on bad terms, but she's all the family I've left."
He glared up at Drago, then looked away again. "As I explained, the diplomatic talks are real, the invitation for Karn to join the Federation is real. I didn't know I'd be having to rescue my mother, and that we'd walk into this trap."
Tras sensed Drago loom over him before he was hauled back to his feet by the front of his tunic. With a cold glare, Tras pried Drago's fingers from his uniform. "I just told you that once was enough. Unless you wish for us to hash it out again with our fists? I assure you that you won't win this time."
"Your physical and emotional condition, captain," Drago snapped, his patience at an end. "No more delaying. The truth."
Tras glared at Drago. "Until our fight I had been perfectly capable of hiding my condition," he snapped back, "I have a balance condition, as I am partially deaf. I have been experiencing moments of dizziness ever since boarding Scavenger. Otherwise, there is nothing wrong with me. Now, I suggest we leave these quarters be-"
He was cut off as Karnian security charged into his room, firing an energy weapon that slammed them both against the nearest wall, and held them pinned. Air was knocked from his lungs, leaving Tras breathless as he stood motionless. In silence he waited for them to speak, or act. He prayed Drago would keep his peace, or it'd cost them all their lives. Karnians were a volatile race, extremely short-tempered and mildly xenophobic.

Luke quickly recovered his composure after the weapon had been fired. He gave a quick look over himself and could see nor feel any major problems. With this knowledge in mind he lunged for his own weapon that had been catapulted across the room during the attack.
"Commander!" Tras snapped.
Luke ignored him and recovered his phaser.
"I wouldn't if I were you Commander Drago." A voice said from the hall. "There is something of much value to Captain Tras on this planet, and this planet is of much value to the Federation. I can imagine that neither will be happy if either of those things of value are lost, or worse... Broken."
Tras tensed next to Luke, he ignored this. Now was not the time to get emotional, although Luke found himself getting angrier by the second. Perhaps it was time he allowed a Counsellor to speak to him...
"Well then let's talk, seeing as that's what you people seem to want." He said in response.
"Not at all Commander. "The disembodied voice continued. "I want you and Tras to leave this planet and inform your superiors that the talks did not go according to plan. Inform them that Karn IV will not be joining the Federation anytime soon."
Luke frowned, this made no sense. Just before the Karnians had been practically obsessing about a Task Force, now they wanted nothing to do with the Federation at all?
"You have 1hour to leave the sector." The man's voice added.
"That sounds an awful lot like a threat." Luke replied. "One that I doubt will be carried out." He said this with extreme confidence, the Scavenger was a ship of the Fleet, one that had an experienced crew. Nothing that the Karnians could or possibly would throw at them would cause any major problems.
"See it as you like Commander. You and Tras will be leaving Karn IV now."

As Paikea looked at Captain Tras record, he noticed that there wasn't much there. He was an exemplary officer who had worked his way up, but his record didn't say anything our of the ordinary. To Paikea it was just to clean, no bad report or concern from fellow collegues. It was like someone took a real good look at it and cleaned everything out.
This was the task that was given to him by Commander Drago. Normally it would career suicide to spy on your captain, but Paikea was now interested. If Tras was connected with this planet, it would not bode well for them. The Scavenger was waiting for the Captain and Commander Drago, and everyone was waiting for them to report back in. They were taking their time, but Paikea knew not to panic. If they did it would go a lot worse for them.
"Tras, what have you been up to?" Paikea said to himself as he looked deeper into Tras's past.

Paikea's digging turns up nothing significant where it comes to reprimands on Tras' records, even contacting former commanding officers turns up nothing as they're all full of praise about the stoic officer. However, the only oddity Paikea finds is that Tras has no friends, and that he is a very introvert and lonely person. Psychological evaluations turn up that Tras is in reality a very insecure person with a dire need to prove himself to his peers.
Furthermore, medical records show that Tras suffers from a disorder that disrupts his balance when under severe stress. Additionally, they also uncover that Tras is partially deaf on both ears, and relies mostly on his other senses to cover up for his hearing disability.
Tras glared at the guards, angry at having allowed himself to be surprised and caught off guard like this. He averted his glare towards the barrel of the gun that was aimed directly at him. "We're not leaving without her," he snapped, "and we'll not be threatened like this. We were asked to come here. Why put up this sham and call us here for nothing?"
The guard sniggered as he adjusted the setting on his weapon and retook his aim. "I dare you to dive for your weapon Mister Drago," he sneered, "see if you can beat me before I shoot you. But not after I've dealt with your captain here." He stretched his arm before him for better aim and from the look in Tras' eyes he knew Tras was aware of what a next beam of the weapon would do to him if it hit him. "Go for your gun Drago," he ordered, keeping his eyes on Tras, "either way I'll shoot your captain."
While Drago dove for his weapon, the guard pulled the trigger and Tras reeled as the beam hit him squarely in the chest. He collapsed to his knees, clutching at his chest, his eyes wrenched shut in agony as the room span uncontrolleably around him. Drago however had been fast, but not fast enough to prevent the guard from shooting Tras.
As the guard went down with a cry, Tras too keeled over. Before succumbing to the mercy of unconsciousness, Tras begged Drago to save his mother before returning them to Scavenger.

" Sir still no luck nobody down there wants to talk to us I'm also picking heavy military traffic something is going on and I'm starting not to like the way its looking ''
pausing for a few mins " Sir I' going to see if I can hack into the military traffic to see whats got them up in arms.''
After a few moments he got what he wanted doing some quick scans of the incoming information it wasn't what he wanted to see.

Ensign Nisa was in sickbay when she heard her superior officer, Doctor Tintagel, telling her to prepare to visit the planet and keep an eye on the captain. Ensign Nisa didn't understand why she was the one to watch, sure she had had some experience before joining Starfleet of dealing with injuries outside of sickbay, but surely there had to be better people for this. After all, the people to be watched were the Captain and former CO.
Once she had her emergency medical kit ready, Ensign Nisa transported over to the shuttle. She wasn't sure what to do, so she decided to stay on the shuttle. She didn't really feel comfortable going to the talks, and she could tell from the way that the Captain, Tras, kept glancing at her that he didn't want to show weakness by bringing medical personnel down.
“I think I'll stay on the shuttle,” she said. “If you need me at all, though, for anything, I'll be available,” she said.
---------
Illito finished up with the list of places she used through the Biomemetic Gel. She would have been able to do it much faster off the top of her head, but she needed to find the documentation to prove that the gel had gone where she said it did. All in all, it had been a very irritating process, but she was practically finished now.
Illito hadn't heard any news from the bridge or the mission on the planet, but she hoped all was going well. She felt rather guilty about letting Tras leave in the position he had been on. Maybe it would have been better if she had forced him to stay on the ship for a while? But that might have jeopardized the talks, and Tras was insistent that he was well enough. Illito didn't know, but she hoped she had done the right thing.

Pride: Continued trying to hail somebody on the planet to no effect. Things were going to get worse before they got better and with missing crew down on the planet tention on ship was mounting. Looking at there options they didn't have a whole to choose from.
Looking back at commander Apirana he felt bad for him choice's were going to have to be made and quickly. " Sir I still think I can get a ship down undetected my ship in the luanch bay is capable of stealth and is old which means it doesn't rely on power to make it go it still use's turbine thrust and can make it. If you give the word I can be on the planet in 5 mins with a small detachment to include Illito in case somebody is hurt. what are your orders sir" <Tag Apirana>
Looking back at the read outs and troop movements pride sent his reports to Illito and informed her she might be going back down to the planet with that done he looked back at Commander Apirana and started to wonder where The xo was and why wasn't she here right now.

Paikea was taken aback with the information he had just uncovered about the Captain of the USS Scavenger. He hadn't noticed anything wrong with the Captain, and as he thought about it he was impressed that he could hide it that well. There was no need to keep on digging. He still didn't exactly know what the connection was with this planet, but this was enough to do something.
"Commander Apirana, Drago failed to make his last post check." walking over to the comm system he tryed to hail Commander Drago there was no response " Commander nobody is responding to our hails down on the planet"
Pride's report was troubling, but it was expected. Nothing ever turned out as they planned. At the moment they had no proof that anything bad had happened to the officers, but Paikea was not going to wait for that.
"Commander Pride, get me some more information," Paikea ordered," Commander Cavit to the bridge. Katie I need you to organize with the other departments, I don't think we are going to here good news."
< Tag Pride, Katie, Semia>
"Sir it would appear they are getting ready to fight us. Something has happened to Captain Tras and Commander Drago its unclear what but from reports so far they are now prisoners of the local goverment"
"Go to red alert," Paikea said as he took the command chair.
=^=Prepare for battle, all personal to battle stations=^=

"Make it so, Commander," Paikea ordered," but do not hesitate to save your lives."

"Katie, I need you to man science and operations," Paikea ordered," you can realign our shields as you see fit.
<Tag Katie>
"Commander, get to it," Paikea said and waited for him to leave before contacting Illito," Illito, if Pride becomes reckless you have the authority to releave him. Saving the captain's life and Drago's is important, but not at the cost of your lives."

Pride: Finaly got the answer he wanted he knew it wasn't easy for Commander Apirana but at least he said yes.
"Make it so, Commander," Paikea ordered," but do not hesitate to save your lives."
Not having to be told twice he signaled Illito and a security detachment to meet him in the shuttle bay. Walking to the turbo lift he went to his quarters to grab Sandy and his flight suite changing quickly he arrived in the shuttle bay and started the launch prep. Double checking the sytems and getting the engins warmed up. He looked up to see Illito arriving ahead of the security detachment.
" It would appear dinner is going to be a little late. I dont know what to expect down there normal I would go in hot but not this time. I'm going to land outside the city and slowly make our way in. The object of the mission to get our crew out with out being seen I dont want to get into a armed conflict. I'ev had enought excitement to last me for one day. The ride down will be a little bumpy so make sure your straped in tight there's a co pilot seat behind the pilot seat your welcome to sit there." <Tag Illito>
The rest of the team show up and he explained his plan they agreed that not being seen would be the best course of action. The team board the ship it wasn't as comfortable as a run about but there was room left to get there crew out. Doing his finaly check makeing sure the jammind equipment was working he straped in he could see Illito sitting behind him.
" Okay here we go everybody hold on this is not like a normal shuttle luanch" Firing the main thruster the ship took off increasing thruster speed the ship started to move faster. They exited the scavenger and pride had taken some time to pick his approach to the planet. he decided to enter on the dark side to make they appear as a shooting star.
They made it to the planet with out any problems the jamming equipment was doint its job. They were lucky the planet wasn't futher along in its development or they would had been discoverd. Still he didn't like what was going he kept the ship low until they reached the landing point once on the ground the team secured the area and help hid the ship.
" Well were here we still have a 30 mins walk to the city after that we'll have to think of a way into the city but we'll worry about that when we get there. If anybody has any idea's start talking" Sandy had wrapped herself around him and was stay there until he need her he didn't want to hurt anybody he just wanted to get Tras and Drago out of harms way.
" It would appear every time we make dinner plans something comes up. So after we get back I'm making you dinner before anything else come's up" <Tag Illito>
Tapping his combadge to let Apirana know they were safe and making there way to the city
"Commander no problems yet we made it safely and are on the move will check in with you when we get near the city Pride out" <Tag Apirana>

Luke's mind went into overdrive. Tras was down, as was one of the guards.
"Think!" He muttered to himself. Tras was insistent on saving his mother but she was not his priority right now, they had to get off this planet and far away from it's psycho inhabitants.
"You have no options Commander."
Luke ignored the voice, still crouched on the floor by Tras' body, aware that several weapons were pointed at his location. He held his own phaser in his hand but it would do nothing, well not in the time that he needed it to... Except...
"Lower your weapon and rise slowly to your feet."
Luke smiled, pressed one button on the phaser and slid it across the floor.
"Now stand to your feet."
Luke did so, all the while counting in his head. He had 20seconds, that would be enough time to cover Tras with himself and the phaser was far enough away... He hoped...
"Now turn round."
Luke ignored this order and instead launced himself over Tras' unconscious body. Within 5seconds of him doing that his small hand-held phaser exploded. He could feel the heat on his back and the smell of burning uniform and scorched flesh. The back of his head felt like it had caught fire but he did not move, waiting for the high pitched whine in his ears to stop.
He gave it a couple of minutes before standing to his feet. On further analysis of himself he found that he was covered in various degrees of burns and there was a smart bald patch on the back of his head.
"Apparantly I wasn't far enough way." He said to no one in particular, grimacing as he gingerly touched one of the burns.
He looked down at Tras who was fine, Luke's large frame had prevented anything from happening to him but this was not the case for their oponents. There was no way they could be alive. He shivered as he picked a discarded weapon from one of the deceased guards, whatever anyone said it never got any easier taking the life of someone.
With the energy weapon in one hand and Tras slung over the shoulder he made a swift exit and walked back the way they came. He was surprised that no internal alarm had sounded but then again this planet had only jus developed Warp Drive and their buildings were still made out of what appeared to be bricks, mortar and wood. However, Luke knew that the explosion would not have gone unheard, and soon there would be flocks of individuals coming to investigate... He pushed himself to walk faster, remembering the age old techniques he had been taught by a lonely Vulcan many years ago on how to ignore the pain for as long as necessary. This technique in itself was exhausting but luckily Luke didn't have to go far.
He and Tras reached the giant entrance hall without any difficulties and Luke nearly breathed a sigh of relief all too soon.
"Lower your weapon and the Captain to the floor or I will kill this woman."
Luke frowned. That voice was the same as before, how did he not perish along with the others? And Tras' mother was in the room with them. He thought that she had died along with the others, a sacrifice in Luke's mind that had to be made.
Luke did as he was told, unable to see the man as he was behind him, he didn't fancy pushing his luck. Just as he was about to turn round Pride and Tintagel entered the cavernous room, weapons drawn. Luke took his chance.
"Hit the man! Spare the woman!" He yelled simply, rolling to the floor and picking up the discarded weapon as pain coursed through his body. He could feel his uniform becoming damp with his own blood. It was a feeling he had experienced often but once again had never gotten used to.

Pride: Illito and him had made it to the city the team was taking covering postions to help the escape when they heard the explosioins. They entered the room where drago and Captain Tras were with there weaposn drawn. Before they could do anything they heard Drago yell.
"Hit the man! Spare the woman!" with out thinking he aimed and fired hitting his mark. The man had taken the full force of the shot in the head. Pride didn't think he would live the weapon was set for heavy stun but a shot to the head is a shot to the head. As the man collasped. The strange woman ran to captain tras but Illito had beaten her to him. Walking over to the man on the floor and kicking the weapon away. It hit pride the man was dead it had been the first time he had ever killed somebody face to face and he didn't like it not one bit. Walking over to the corner of the room he threw up. Wiping his face he walked back to Commander Drago.
" Sir we dont have a lot of time and we need to be moving. The team is provinding cover but we need to move its still some distance to the ship. I can carry Captain Tras but not both of you." Taking sandy from his waste and willing her to form herself into staff. When she changed he hand it to Drago.
" Here she will hold your weight and remain this way until we reach the shuttle. We've got to move sir like Now" <Tag Drago>
Looking over at Illito " Is he stable enought to move we dont have much time and I dont want anybody else getting hurt trying to hold there position"<Tag Illito>
Looking back over at the man he shot I dont have time for this now. He closed his eyes and shut out his emotions. He felt nothing for the moment but knew he was going to have to deal with it sooner of later.
" Commander we'ev got to go " <Tag Drago>

The older woman kneeled beside her son's inert body, batting the Cardassian doctor aside. "Get away Cardassian!" she snapped, as she cradled Tras. "Joseph, oh Joseph," she now sobbed, leaning in to listen to his breathing.
When Illito gently moved her aside a second time, she let the woman, as Drago whispered to her that it would be all right and that Illito was a very competent doctor. Yet, the woman sensed the urgency in Drago's voice; it was important that they leave this place. "Come with me," she urged, "I know this building very well, I've been here for quite some time. I'll do anything you want, just save my Joseph. He's all I have left."
(Drago/Illito)
While they were on the move, Tras woke up a few times, moaning incoherently as he moved his eyes about as if searching for something or someone. "Mother," he called several times, unaware that the woman was right at his side.
"What's wrong with him?" she asked s she ran a hand over Tras' cheek, hoping to comfort him. She pulled Drago back. "I saw what you did commander, and I am grateful that you saved his life. I also saw Joseph gives you a hard time, but I'm sure he has a reason for that. I may not have raised him, but I know his character. He's difficult to get along with or to get to know, but he really is a fine officer with everyone's interest at heart."
