There had been 23 ships the last time he had scaned the immediate area around the Scavenger. There was no reason to look again because he knew that there would just be more out there. For the first time ever, Paikea knew that there was nothing they could do. The ship he had come to call home would be lost and if things continued to go as it was so would her crew.
"I am detecting weapons lock from all conflicting vessels." Paikea reported.
The phaser fire was unbearable. The shields were already failing and reports were coming in. Heavy casualties and multiple breaches on all decks.
"Report!" He yelled.
"They took out our sheild generators!" Paikea yelled, now on Tactical, abandoning any hope of being able to use his beloved sensors. "We've lost power to the phaser arrays and the torpedoes are being fired blind."
"And Commander Parsons' team?" Luke asked over the noise.
"They have been able to evade most of the damage," Paikea reported," the enemy is targeting us with. Sir, if we don't do something the ship will be lost!"
"Give the order damn it Luke!" Max said picking himself up off the floor, grabbing Luke's shoulders and staring at him. His eyes locking contact with Luke's own. Luke turned away...
"Open a channel to all decks, including the Battle-ready Section." He ordered, Max still gripping his shoulders.
Paikea looked at the Captain, his dignity lossed within the debris that was the bridge. Paikea knew it was only a vessel, but he allowed himself to shed a single tear. The ultimate respect that can be given by his people.
"Torpedoes are depleted sir!" Paikea said with resignation," you must give the order."
"All crew, this is the Captain, emergency evacuation. Man all life-pods and get back through that void!"
The computer immediately began to blare out another alarm, this time automatically instigated by the order to abandon ship.
"All Senior Staff, get to the Runabouts, we're not done here!" Max looked at Luke, his eyes quizzing him. "That void is still open Commander." He replied, now screaming over the noise. "We have to close it, to stop whatever purpose these ships have. Go with Illito and Hunter Max. Get to the Runabouts and try and find a safe place to stay until we can all meet up."
"Sir, the Engineering Section has breached, we have only minutes until the Core goes critical!" Paikea yelled as he hurried everyone out of the bridge. The only ones left were him and the captain. He would allow the captain a few seconds, but not much more. The crew would get through this, he was sure of this, but they would need their captain.
As he allowed the Captain his precious moments, Paikea thought ahead as he transported all viable explosive material onto the last remaining runabout. He would need it to cause as much damage as possible.
"It's time to go Captain!" Paikea cried out as yet more volleys of fire barraged against the hull. ~Damn you Luke, I will not let you die here~
"Luke! It is time to GO!" Paikea said as he dragged him towards the shuttlebay.
The captain had yet to speak, but he had regained some measure of compsure now moving on his own free will. The two men prayed that they were the last ones off the ship when they powered up the runabout.
Paikea couldn't help but turn to face the USS Scavenger one last time. The weapons fire of the enemy illuminated the hull of the ship showing multiple breaches and fires. The next moment, the once proud USS Scavenger finally gave way exploding into millions of pieces of debris. The explosion caught up with them which caused the runabout to loose all systems until backups took over.
Paikea moaned in pain, but was nevertheless alright. The captain was another story as he was now unconscious on the floor. Paikea would tend to him later, now he had to cooridnate with the other runabouts who were dealing with the enemy. The explosion allowed the runabouts to give the pods enough time to go through the void followed by some shuttles and fighters. They had all gotten through which allowed the other runabouts and the battle ready section to continue the attack.
"This is Apirana, prepare to beam us over once I give the signal," Paikea said as he began to leak the ship with antimatter. He would rig the ship to explode in near enemy ships which would then cause a domino effect hopefully killing them all.
"Computer please show me the denses area of ships?" Paikea ordered as the chart appeared. "Plot course and explode warp core once you reach at least 1000 meters to any ship in the area."
"Affirmative"
Paikea would need to evade enemy fire as much as possible, but with any luck his plan would allow them some time to figure something out.
"Reaching desitnation."
"Transport now," Paikea ordered as he heard the final countdown go off.

Pride: Had arrived at Star fleet head quaters and still after 5 days hadn't heard anything about his ship or where they were at. Nobody was giving him answers and he tried everthing that he could think of. He finaly when back to the guest quarters he had been assinged and placed a call to somebody who might know whats going on.
"Computer locate Commander Tras and relay a message"
"Commander Tras I'm sorry to be bugging you but nobody seems to know where the Scavenger is and nobody is willing to help. Something tells me that things are going well where ever she is at. I was hoping you might be able to help me locate her and get back please responded when you have a chance thank you" <Tag Tras>
Sitting back he waited something he was not use to doing.

“Sickbay is being flooded, but it's a managed flood, for now,” Illito said, in response to a request for report from all departments.
Things went downhill from there. They were in the mirror universe, and the ship was still sustaining more damage. "All crew, this is the Captain, emergency evacuation. Man all life-pods and get back through that void! All Senior Staff, get to the Runabouts, we're not done here!"
Illito hit her commbadge, she couldn't leave until she knew sickbay was cleared. “Avel!”
“I'm here. We're almost completely evacuated, and we've taken all the equipment we can.”
“I'll be right down.”
“Don't bother,” Avel said. “We have as many people as can reasonably help.”
“Alright.” Illito said, forcing herself to trust that the best thing for her was to get to a Runabout, forcing herself to trust that Avel could actually handle everything, was handling everything.
Aboard the Runabout, Illito watched the ship on the viewscreen, before she couldn't any more. She dropped her head slightly, and the next time she looked up all she could see were the other ships out there. She quickly looked around the shuttle, trying to be sure that no one aboard was injured. She knew that some of the people on the other shuttles were, though, and she felt trapped, unable to help. “What now?” she muttered, not noticing that she was talking out loud until the words had escaped.

One of the bridge crew reported a horrifying realization. Both parts of the ship and her crew had entered the Mirror Universe. Adam had studied this phenomenon at the Academy, but had never imagined he would encounter it.
"Sir, decloaking vessels," Tarapik reported.
Parsons looked up from coordinating damage control teams to see the now fully decloaked ships, when Tarapik spoke again. "Sir, they are locking weapons on the Scavenger."
The Scavenger began to rock under heavy fire, they couldn't move fast enough to avoid the fire from their surrounding foes.
The Battle-Ready Section bridge crew watched in terror as the Scavenger struggled to maneuver against overwhelming weapons fire.
"Target the nearest vessel and open fire," Parsons ordered. Tarapik unleashed the section's arsenal on the the enemy devastating the first ship before targeting another.
Sensors reported heavy damage to Scavenger. Their shield generators had been disabled.
"Sir, Scavenger appears to now be firing blind."
"Stay out of her weapons fire and keep engaging the enemy," Parsons ordered.
"Scavenger is losing life support. Her engineering section has taken heavy damage. Breach is imminent."
Finally, a message came from Scavenger. "All crew, this is the Captain, emergency evacuation. Man all life-pods and get back through that void! ... All Senior Staff, get to the Runabouts, we're not done here!"
The Battle-Ready section's fighters had been launched once the decloaked ships fired on Scavenger and they had been engaged in battle since. "Launch the troop transports, fill them with our crew and Scavengers using the transporters, head directly back to the void and our space," Parsons commanded to a few pilots standing by in the bays.
Once the transports had been safely launched, "Now launch all shuttles and runabouts, have them join the fight as long as possible, then head for the void."
The shuttles, runabouts, fighters, and battle-ready section put up valiant fight against the superior armada, but the Scavenger eventually succumbed. She was being torn apart, and by this time the battle-ready section had taken significant damage as well. Fires had broken out on multiple decks and damage control parties had no hope of keeping up.
<TAG Dunsmore>
"Commander, the Scavenger's warp core is overloading and they are headed right for the heart of the enemy fleet."
Parsons was silent for a moment, "it's a suicide run, tell all friendly vessels to break off the attack and head for the void on my mark..." what was left of Scavenger continued to lumbar into the enemy fleet pounded by weapons fire "...mark."
The order was given and all ships broke off and headed for the void. The battle-ready section, now down to a skeleton crew, provided a rear guard and took heavy fire.
Moments later, Scavenger detonated in a brilliant display of light and energy, engulfing surrounding vessels in a shockwave of destruction.

Luke awoke to feel his cheek pressed against a cold, hard surface and the metalic taste of his own blood in his mouth. He could feel the shuddering of the floor beneath him and the groan of the ceiling above him. He most definately wasn't on the Runabout anymore... Which didn't exactly bode well for him... And he didn't recognise anything else about him either... Although it did have a vague familiarity about it.
"Captain Dowding." A voice said. "It has been a long time. Indeed, such a long time that the last time we met you were only a Lieutenant, Junior Grade if I recall correctly."
Luke scowled, he could barely manage to lift his head, let only even think of the words to reply. He had only hit his head in the Runabout, something else was happening here.
"During your transport to the other half of your vessel we intercepted the signal and both you and your CScO are guests aboard our vessel. The reason you are finding it close to impossible to move is that your body was infused with a recently developed compound during the transport. The effects will wear off eventually but I find that people are more attentive in the compound induced state than if they're allowed to move about and talk... It makes things so much easier don't you think?"
Again, Luke tried in vain to respond, utter something but his jaw hung loose and his tongue remained limp. However, his mind was slowly beginning to clear and he could think more coherently than before.
"Mr. Apirana is quite safe in another detention cell, we thought it prudent to keep you two seperate and without forms of contact, despite the present condition that both of you are in." Footsteps echoed around him as the man who spoke walked towards a now open door. "Rest up Captain. I will be along later on for us to continue our little chat."

Meanwhile aboard Starbase Assaillant Tras felt the unease of the intelligence officer that sat across him at his desk. "Something on your mind commander?" Tras asked tentatively, hoping his feelings were wrong this time.
The intelligence officer steepled his fingers before him and cast the former starship captain a troubled look. "Indeed," he replied, "when is the last time you heard anything from the Scavenger?" He knew the officer before him was mostly deaf, but knew also Tras could understand every word he said.
Joseph Tras cast him a startled look. "Sir?"
"I know you have been in contact with several crewmembers recently, there's no point in denying it."
"I haven't heard from them recently," Joseph replied angrily, irked that intel had tapped into his private communications with his new friends. "I sent the doctor a message, but I never got a reply, not even an acknowledgement that it arrived at all. It has me worried for usually she replies within a few hours."
The intel officer nodded, then slid a PADD towards the still angry officer. "Read this," he said quietly, "but keep it to yourself for now. We have gained intelligence that the Scavenger has been destroyed, but that the senior staff got away."
Tras paled as he read the information. "When?" he managed, swallowing a few times before continuing. "When and where did this happen?"
"We don't know when exactly or where exactly, as readings were inconclusive. It seemed as though the Scavenger was partly not in this universe or even not at all in this universe."
"I need to go find them," Tras stated, rising to his feet, sliding the PADD back to the commander. "I request permission to take a ship, select a crew and go rescue the Scavenger crew."
"I had hoped you would say that," the intel officer smiled, then slid another PADD forward.
Tras felt as though he had been baited, and had been lured into some form of trap, especially since he was not to command a ship again after the last episode he did so. "There must be a catch."
"When you find Drago, command automatically turns over to him." The officer rose to his feet also. "There is someone on Assaillant you may wish to contact, a Lieutenant Commander Desert Pride."
"Yes sir," Tras answered crisply, then scanned the PADD. "USS Lion?" He hadn't heard the name of that old ship in a long while. "The crew won't fit on that ship...I need at least a Nova class, though preferably a Sovereign."
The intel officer frowned, snatched the PADD back and scanned the information. "The Lion is your support vessel, your babysit so to speak," he scowled, then highlighted a separate entry. "As of now, you are acting commanding officer of the USS South Carolina. She's a Nova class vessel, you might like her. She fits your temperament."
Tras forced himself to smile in response. "I don't know whether to feel insulted or complimented," he said through gritted teeth. "Permission to go find Mr Pride?"
"Dismissed."
Jospeh Tras left the office and quickly located Pride in the Fish Tank. "Commander Pride?" Tras called from a distance, catching the officer's attention. "Mr Pride, I have some bad news for you." As soon as they both had sat down, Tras quickly explained the situation. "I am going to find them, don't worry. I promise I'll find them." In his agitation, he resorted back to his basic sign language, while also speaking out loud.

Pride: took a chair at the table they were near and listened, he couldn't believe what he was hear. He knew something was wrong he could feel it, He had no idea it was this bad but he just knew there was something wrong. He sat and listened to Commander Tras.
"Mr Pride, I have some bad news for you." As soon as they both had sat down, Tras quickly explained the situation. "I am going to find them, don't worry. I promise I'll find them." In his agitation, he resorted back to his basic sign language, while also speaking out loud.
Just couldn't get over it When Commander Tras started signing he was having a hard time keeping up with him. He had been study since they last saw each other but was by no means a expert. When Commander Tras had finished he knew it was pointless to ask to join the mission. If Commander Tras was going to let him he would have offered.
"Thank you Commander I know you will do everything possible to save the crew" Pausing for a moment " If you will excuse me for a moment sir I need to do something I'll be right back"
Getting up he walked over to a terminal and placed a call to star fleet headquarters diplomatic section it took a few Min's to be connected.
" Admiral Stark I need a favor something really big" Explaining with out breaking security protocols he stated what he needed, his planet hadn't joined yet and by bring pressure on them saying how wonderful it would be if his home world could see there son working with someone they thought of has a hero that might go a long way to signing. A couple of minutes went by when he received his reply with orders to report to the USS South Carolina as her Acting First officer until the senior staff of the scavenger is found.
Walking back to the table where Commander Tras was sitting he took his seat. " Sir you should be getting confirmation of my orders in a few mins. I will be your acting first officer, its nothing against you sir but they are my friends to and I'm not going to sit and wait" <Tag Tras>

Sitting at the table waiting for Commander Tras reaction his thoughts when out to his crew and Illito. He had been gone a while and was wondering where they stood if she was okay. He knew in his heart he would do what ever it took to bring them home and to make sure Illito was safe.
Looking back at Commander Tras " It would seem we have some work to do and we need to get moving as quickly as possible. We'll need to pull all the information we can on the last known where abouts of the Scavenger and her current mission. I was able to get some but not all. What the hell was she doing in the bad lands?" <Tag Tras>

No one answered her question, which Illito wasn't too surprised with. She still felt kind of empty inside, and part of her said she was probably in shock, but not the medical emergency kind, another part of her reassured herself. It was just...the Scavenger had been, in a very real sense, the only home she'd ever had. And just like that, it was gone. She'd built memories on the ship...
With a strong effort of her will, Illito focused herself on the present situation. That was what she needed just now, to keep her attention directed on things she had a better chance of fixing. “Did you see whether a nurse or doctor got on the same shuttle as the Captain?” she asked Max and William, her mind caught up on the last injury she had seen.
Neither of them had, and there were enough shuttles out there that no one had any idea which one was the Captain's. “Commander Bower, your job is to pilot us, is it not?” she asked, unjustly turning on whoever happened to be nearest to her. Part of it was that she wished Pride had been the one piloting the Scavenger, and part of it was that she was willing to look suspiciously at anyone and everyone, as if they could have prevented the Scavenger's destruction. “Then don't you think it best that you pilot us towards something at least resembling safety?” she snapped.

Max was furiously trying to navigate the now expansive debris feild. Every second there was something that needed his attention and it was exhausting. Luckily, the enemy vessels seemed to be holding their distance. They had even stopped their fire on the now heavily damaged Battle-ready Section. However, this gave Max little comfort. An enemy only stopped firing when they thought that they could afford to rest. This didn't exactly bode well for the Scavenger crew... But as far as he could tell a lot of the ships had got through the void again. Now all they had to do was survive the Badlands in something that very well resembled a tin can...
"What now?!" Illito exclaimed from behind him, to which he ignored. It was a foolish question, they had their orders and they had to be carried out.
He continued to navigate the mess that surrounded them, hoping that he could make it to the Battle-ready Section. Hoping that Luke was there...
"Commander Bower, your job is to pilot us, is it not?" Max again ignored her, her tone was angry with a hint of bitterness and he had no desire to argue with their CMO. "Then don't you think it best that you pilot us towards something at least resembling safety?"
"That's what I'm doing Commander." He said patiently, again changing course. "I'm having to manually change course whenever something heads our way, our navigational sensors were knocked out in the blast and I'm not sure how long our inertial dampeners are going to last. Hence the slow speed."

Still sitting at the table waiting for Commander Tras to responded, trying not to smile it always seemed him and Tras were always going at each other even though they were friends. Still he knew he had just backed door Tras and wondering to himself how come it was so easy. After all he was Lt. Commander and now he was the acting first officer he had to wonder if somebody was just trying to keep Commander Tras on a short leash by agreeing and letting him serve. One thing was for certain he wasn't going to be a watch dog for Commander Tras he didn't need one the fact that they had demoted him never sat well him.
Sometime later aboard the USS South Carolina
Walking the halls it was good to be back on a ship again. Although it was differnt this time section heads were reporting to him with updates. He knew the first officer job was to organize the reports and short them for the captain but he had know idea the amount of paper work involved. Some how he figure Tras had to be getting a kick out this part of his job.
Walking on to the bridge he saw the helm he wanted to sit and plot the course to get him where they needed to go but it wasn't his job right now. Taking his seat to the right of the captains chair he called out start procedures to bring the the ship main power on line. Thinking to himself I need to get to Illito and the scavenger but knowing he couldn't rush it or somthing might get missed and the last thing you want to happen on a rescue mission was for somebody to rescue you because you short cut everthing. So he waited for there captain to report he knew it wouldn't be long but it felt like forever to him.

Now freely able to move about, Luke surveyed his surroundings. He was in a dimly lit, small, damp room. His first thoughts were a facility on some sort of planetoid, possibly a moon or asteroid. However, there had been no signs of any such thing whilst they were on the Scavenger... Luke closed his eyes at that thought. When he came back to this timeline he had no idea that it would result in the Captaincy of another vessel. He had assumed that he would either be arrested for breaking the Temporal Prime Directive or would end up dead. He had prepared himself for the latter, knowing that if his arrest looked certain he would have taken his life, now allowing the knowledge of any future occurrences leak out. He had kept all these things to himself, revealing as little as possible, not wanting any of that polluted, terrible time to ever be thought of, let alone happen all over again. So here he was, in yet another situation, yet another crew separated, yet another ship lost. Each time he walked the decks of a vessel he vowed that he wouldn't become as attached to her as the one before. But each time his heart seemed to become connected to the craft. The Scavenger's destruction had hacked out yet another piece of his old and dying heart. He had seen too much pain, heard too many cries. How many had perished this time because of his actions?
"Feeling sorry for yourself?" The voice came from the shadows of the room, echoeing eerily. "I can quite understand why but it isn't what I expect at all from the great Captain Dowding. You of course have changed a lot since the last encounter, some might say barely recognisable..."
Luke frowned. That was the second time that the man had named him 'Dowding', an identity he had long ago shed. This encouraged the Captain, power wasn't fully in his oponents court. His information was limited at best. "Merely contemplating life." He replied slowly, casually searching his confines for signs of where the voice came from. The man was obviously not physically present so his speach must have been projected from somewhere...

Tras stared at Pride in disbelief, then grinned at the young lieutenant commander. "That didn't take you very long to arrange," he commented, as he got to his feet, "I suppose you had your resources, even though I was going to ask you to serve as acting first officer anyway."
He beckoned Pride to follow. "Come, I'll show you our new pride and joy. She's currently being prepped as she's been mothballed out of service quite some time ago. Not sure when her last flight was, but it is at least four years ago." Tras preceded Pride out of the Fish Tank and led him towards the docks, where the Carolina hung silently in her bay. "Just look at her," Tras breathed, "isn't she a beauty?"
After a couple of hours, the Carolina was finally spaceworthy and ready to depart, albeit with a skeleton, though hand-picked crew. "Mr Pride, set course for Scavenger's last known co-ordinates. As soon as we leave this system, jump to maximum warp and keep at that speed for as long as is deemed safe."
Tras could just hear the chief engineer moan on that order and he patted her on her back. "Don't worry Lieutenant Albero, we'll keep the ship in ship-shape."
Silvana Albero snorted as she walked over to the bridge engineering station and crossed a curious glance with science chief Sivano Aquila. Aquila shrugged and returned his attention to his screens. "Path is clear," he announced, "clearing all moorings. Last known Scavenger co-ordinates fed to helm station. All stations report green sir."
Beside him, Pride nudged him, letting him know he was being talked to. However, Aquila knew that Tras was deaf, and had also send him his report though the computer to his seat's side panel. By the time Pride nudged him, Tras had already given Aquila the thumbs up. "Take her out Mr Pride," Tras announced as he slid into the OPS seat beside the helm console. The COO had yet to report for duty, but still had thirty minutes to do so as she had been off duty.
Twenty minutes later, Lieutenant Commander T'Vanna stepped onto the bridge, tapped Tras' shoulder and they quietly exchanged places. "Mr Pride, ETA to Scavenger?"

Commander Tras was right every once in awhile he stopped what he was doing to admire the ship. She was no Scavenger but each ship had its owne soul and he could tell this ship hand been to to pasture before her time.
He was happy to be piloting again thank god for skeleton crews he thought to himself a break from all those dam reports. Still he was in a hurry and trying to think of ways to cut there time down to reach the scavenger.
"Mr Pride, ETA to Scavenger?"
Turning back to see Commander Tras sitting in the center seat. " That depends sir if the engineer can maintain shield strenght and keep the dampeners on line, and if we shut down life support to the empty decks I can sling shot us around some planets and get us there in 2hrs if not then were looking at 3 just dont tell anybody I'm doing that. Starfleet doesn't like us doing things like that but the planet bodys I'm using are moons so we wouldn't be visible to anybody but for a tenth of a secound." <Tag Tras>
Before turning back to look at his console " Sir the center seat looks good on you its been to long just thought you should know, all station report green warp corp at 105% clear for maxium warp. We have cleared docking control we are clear to exit the system on your word" <Tag Tras>

If Luke's calculations were correct, and they usually weren't far off, he had been in his 'cell' for a little over 2hours. Of course he couldn't be sure as no natural light came within the walls and he had no idea how long he had been unconscious for. However, his stomach, as foolish as it sounded, usually had a good concept of time. In fact, he once timed a military strike on a Breen outpost on the mutterings of his stomach... Much to the concern of his strike team... Of course that was long ago... Or long yet to come, depending on your point of view. Luke had grown use to using conventional methods of time keeping since his arrival on the Scavenger, and so his guess of how long he had been confined for was exactly that... A guess...
The doors to the room opened with a jolt causing Luke to jump slightly. He calmed himself quickly however, not wanting to appear agitated and internly scolded himself for letting down his guard. Any chances like this had to be taken.
This was perhaps the third time a guard had come in to check on Luke and every time he did he brought with him another cup of water and nothing else. He placed the water in the far corner of the room and left, this is what he did everytime. Except this one.
"Enjoying yourself are we Captain?" He sneered.
Luke ignored the jibe and simply stared at the unplesant man before him.
"I bet it's not quite the comfort you're used to on those huge Starfleet vessels." He spat.
Luke smiled, managing to show nearly every single one of his teeth. It clearly had the desired effect of making him look slightly unhinged as the guard took a step back.
"I'm actually finding it quite a plesant change." Luke replied, still smiling. Now walking forward, backing the small man into the corner with the three glasses of water. "It reminds me of the good old days." He paused. "During war times, where I killed... Daily..." He had stopped smiling now and the guard could walk no further, he had met the end of the room.
"Th... Th... They... Have ca... meras..." He stammered. "They're watching us...!" His voice elevating in pitch. Luke's athletic frame now towered above the man who perhaps a foot shorter, if not more than the Captain.
"Good." He replied, taking one swipe at the mans head, knocking him to the floor. He picked up the now unconscious man, looked up at where he had discovered the camera location to be. With one motion he broke the man's neck, his gaze never moving from the camera. He allowed the body to slump to the floor, knocking over the glasses of water. Grabbing the control to open the door, he turned to face the camera once more. "You may want to send someone down with a mop." He said, before exiting the room at a fast pace. Intent on finding Paikea and then the rest of his crew.
As alarms began to sound throughout the confusing complex he found himself in, Luke thought back to the man he had just killed. And how easy it was for him to do...

Illito shrugged upon hearing Commander Bower's response. She wasn't about to suddenly admit she was wrong, but nor did she see the point in trying to provoke a further argument. Instead she checked, again, that no one had gotten injured in the past few minutes, and she looked through the emergency med kit she had and dismissed it as unsatisfactory.
Since she didn't have anything else to do at the moment, she started poking around the supply section of the shuttle, until she was able to scrounge up the shuttle medical kit. It was far from as complete as she might have liked it to be, but it was only really meant to tide people over until they were back on a ship. It could last for days, but any longer than that was an issue. And right now the shuttle didn't have a ship to go back to, and the situation didn't look like it was going to improve any time soon.
Having found and inventoried the contents of both her personal med kit and that of the shuttle, there wasn't an overabundance of other things for Illito to do. Illito glanced forlornly at the viewscreen, a Chief Medical officer stranded without her crew. This was going to be a long shuttle ride, but fortunately, for the other people on the shuttle, Illito's mood had decided to stabilize into moodiness, and, for the most part now, silence.

The runabout was now filled with a heavy, awkward silence. Max normally would have felt the need to break said silence by saying something ridiculous or generally unhelpful in order to lighten the mood. However, on this occassion he was in no frame of mind to try and lighten any mood, particularly his own. He was concentrating extremely hard on the task in front of him, debris from the Scavenger kept floating past them and with their inertial dampeners nearly offline his job became twice as hard and twice as slow... He could hear Tintagel rummaging around behind him and felt slight remorse for his words. He knew she had been on the Scavenger for a long time, and could only imagine how she must feel about the destruction of her home. Hunter seemed to be keeping himself to himself, working intently on getting their weapons ready. Not that it would help if a vessel decided to attack them, they were sitting ducks in all honesty.
As if to test his theory weapons fire began to pound on the Runabout, rocking the vessel violently and causing Max to swear very loudly as all the data he had punched in for their course was immediately useless. Illito immediately took command, being the higher ranking Officer and ordered Hunter to return fire. Max continued trying to plot a safe route to anywhere but here whilst also trying to avoid weapons fire. Which was practically impossible. He brought the Runabout to a full stop and got his bearings. Immediately he noticed an asteroid that the sensors had not picked up, it wasn't too far away and the little power they had to the short range sensors managed to determine that it had a breathable atmosphere below the surface. Why this was the case Max couldn't be sure but he would bet a whole lot of latinum on the fact that it was a station for the people of this fleet, who ever they were.
"Commander!" Max said, powering up the engines again as another volley narrowly missed the Runabout due to Max's maneuvers. "I'm taking us to that asteroid." He said pointing to it's location. "We need to get out of the way of all this before we can decide on what to do next."

While waiting for Commander Tras to decided on his idea of sling shoting around moons to help maintain warp 9.5, pride started the plotting a course to bring the ship out into the space lanes. Not waiting for a answer he engaged impluse drive to get things moving.
He still found his thoughts focused on Illito hoping that they would make it there in time. He was worried about her a lot he missed and didn't want anything to happen to her. He was still concerned for his other ship mates and what they might fine.
"Commander Tras we are ready to jump to warp on you mark we have entered the shipping lanes." <Tag Tras>

Luke stopped to catch his breath, he could hear the blood pumping in his ears, feel the air trapped in his lungs. He tried to gain some sort of bearings, anything that might give him a clue as to where abouts he was. An exit would be even better... Slowly he picked himself up off the floor where he had stopped for a brief rest and continued walking along the winding corridors. It was odd, he had yet to meet anyone else in this catacombe prison, no guards, no nothing... Which concerned him more than it allowed relief. An alarm had been triggered, why wasn't anyone following him? Unless they were... He picked up speed again, trying to get rid of the new feeling that he was being watched, he hoped it was just his imagination working with his suspicion...
He rounded another corner and was faced with what appeared to be a dead end but on close examination it turned out to be another door, similar to which he had been kept behind. He tried to open it... Locked off course, but he heard movement from behind, someone standing up by the sounds of it and approaching the door... Luke took a gamble...
"Commander Apirana?" He said, loud enough to be heard through the thick door.
"Captain? Is that you Sir?" Came a very welcome reply from the other side.
"Paikea!" Luke eclaimed, relief swept his body. That was one crewmember found at least.

Tras sighed; was his acting first officer going to question his every order or just be slow carrying them out? "Jump to warp then already," he snapped, jumping to his feet. He began pacing back and forth before his seat, until his counselor finally pulled him down rather forcefully.
"Sit," Elvira Damar said, clamping her hand down on his forearm, applying sufficient amount of force to keep the arm immobilised, "you're making your crew nervous with your behaviour. Mr Pride is doing all he can, let him go about his work. He's a pilot, you are not. He knows what he is doing, trust his judgement."
Tras met the Betazoid's eyes, knowing full well she could see straight through him, no matter how hard he tried to avoid that. Instead of voicing a response, he simply nodded and tried to relax. "Aquila, any sign of the Scavenger yet?"
Aquila waited for Tras to look at him, before voicing his response. "No captain, not yet but like I said earlier, helm has their last known coordinates. I'll let you know as soon as I have more news. Tis strange though, it's almost as though the Scavenger has disappeared from the face of this universe. Really odd, perculiar to say the least."
"Engines are straining," Albero reported from engineering, "we can sustain maximum warp for another hour, two at most, then we'll need to cut back to allow the engines to cool down."
Tras nodded. "Keep me informed," he ordered, then against Damar's suggestion, walked up to Pride and placed his hand on his shoulder. "You're doing fine Mr Pride," he praised, "just find me the Scavenger and we can all be one happy family again. Let's say this'll even the score between Drago and me. And I don't intend on letting me owe him one...you can count on that."

Illito nodded to Commander Bower as he pointed out an asteroid he was going to head towards. “Do it,” she confirmed. She just hoped that Marine Captain Hunter could keep the weapons firing long enough to give Max time to get to the asteroid. Her hands unconsciously clenched as she felt the shuttle rock again. She felt so helpless right now. It didn't seem like there was really anything she could to help. There was no doubt in her mind that she belonged more in sickbay than she did in command. More than she ever would in command.
They made it to where Commander Bower had been directing them, the back of some asteroid. He then described what he had found, a breathable atmosphere just below the surface. “Interesting,” Illito responded. “What do you recommend we do now?” she asked. It wasn't that she was trying to avoid responsibility—she was, but there was more. She had thought over all the options she could, from staying here to hoping everybody would just go away and stop attacking to trying to catch them in a surprise attack.
“Is there any way we can contact Captain Drago's shuttle or the surviving section of the Scavenger?” Her voice almost caught on the last part, but she told herself that was stupid, that she shouldn't be getting upset over the destruction. It was just a ship, all mechanical parts and all. Nothing really important. She wasn't successful in convincing herself, but she had managed to keep her voice steady.

Feeling the urge in Commander Tras to get things going not having to be a mind reader for that. Pride to the ship to warp and started plotting his jump points along the way to coach more speed out of the warp engines.
Not wanting to bug Commander Tras with details he started shutting down decks and letting the crew know. Trying to limit the power th other decks so they could make better time. He felt Commander Tras walk up behind him thinking some things never change he thought.
splitting the view screen to show there location to the last known where abouts of the scanvenger so Commander Tras wouldn't have to ask. Still the flight was not easy having to plot sling shots around moons to help maintain there speed knowing that every minute was importan. 3 Hrs later they arrived in the band lands and started to bring the ship out of warp.
When they noticed something strange even for the band lands. Looking back at Commander Tras he could tell he already knew what it was and didn't look to happy about it. It appeared to be a hole in space but he wasn't to sure.
"Sir what the hell is that" <Tag Tras>

Tras squinted at the image on the main viewscreen. "It looks to be a tear in space," he concluded, then waved at Aquila. "Aquila, send a probe through, and let's see what telemetry it gets back."
The science chief nodded, his hands alreay flying over his console. "Probe away," he announced, locking eyes with Albero at engineering.
"Telemetry incoming," announced the operations chief from the console next to Pride. "Uh-oh....you're not going to like this captain." The chief looked worried, a deep frown creasing his brow.
"Spill it," Tras ordered, his patience wearing thin.
"I'm reading..." He bowed over his console, eyes widening in disbelief. "Hull fragments, among a few things....and uh, telemetry says it belongs to the Scavenger!" He paused, looking up, his face white with fear. "Mirror universe," he breathed.
"Any sign of survivors? Can they use our probe as a beacon?"
Tras peered at Pride, hoping the young navigator would have an answer. "Can they use the probe's trajectory to get home?" He swiveled around to face the security chief. "Go to Red alert, be prepared to shoot at anything that comes through that tear!"
"Yes sir!" security aptly responded, red alert claxons already sounding.
"Pride, be prepared for evasive maneuvres!"

Looking back at Commander Tras when he said Mirror universe all at once his hair on back of his neck stood up. When he heard Tras next question
"Can they use the probe's trajectory to get home?"
Looking at his read outs and double checking to make sure they were right
" Sir it is possible if they find it but the problem is there not in the scavenger they'll be in life pods and shuttle craft. The shuttle craft might be able to handle the ride back but the life pods weren't really designed for this. Not to mention we dont know what there up against and if something is blocking there way."
Looking back down he saw in comeing information and started to shake his head the scavenger was just a hulk. The readings showed the battle bridge to be the only thing left doing some other scans He started down loading there records and fed them to Commander Tras chair."
" Sir I have a idea but its not with out risk, right now the battle section of the scavenger is devoid of life right now barely enough power to down load from the damaged computer core not worth saving by ship yard standards. But she still has half her arment left in the loading bays which could be remotely sent off. I say we go in and take a quick look chances are who ever has done this doesn't see the scavenger being a threat any more"
"This could be to our advantage if we take a quick look and are over whelmed would remotely set off the last of the weapons from the scavenger to give us cover to slip back out. This way we can get a more information and possible locate life pods. If we can get enough life signs we can remote detinate the weapons beam the crew aboard and get out before any heavy fighting. Either way I look at it we are going to have to go in if we hope to save the crew life pods are not designed to with stand the pressure's we are getting off this rift right now.
Looking back at Tras and lowering his voice so the rest of the crew didn't hear him knowing that Tras could read lips. " Sir options are limited right now either we jump in or call for more help which I dont think will be coming any time soon. If we report now what we have found star fleet is going to order us to wait you and I both know this. I will stand behind your decision to enter and note it in the long that I concur this is the best course of action thats our crew out there they would come for us and you and I both know it" <Tag Tras>
