I don't see a problem with you training as a marine......Admiral Drew, what do you think?

Once you graduate I'm sure you'll be able to "lead" your own squad of NPC marines once you are assigned to a ship:)

Welcome to the site, Vittorio. You can create your own thread, or join one of the many ongoing ones on Conqueror. The Hanson will be the next ship going out, and they are calling for all cadets to report in there as well.

Anyway, much welcome to all who are here, our new cadets at Section 47! I am Commander First Class Xin-Ling Chan, and can usually be found on the USS Hepta, Security Department, though we have just returned from a mission.

May I suggest doing civillian in perhaps medical or counseling and then after graduation switch to DCS?

Cadet Nick Grayson reporting for duty. I've yet to be told where I will be stationed, but I requested the USS Hapta. I also requested (in descending order) the following positions: Tactical/Security, OPS, and Helm. I want to be on the bridge, where all the action is, so I chose accordingly. Always have been eager to join Starfleet, so I did! However, I'm new here, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

To your question you can choose any department that you want, "but I'm hoping its operations, you'll have a great instructor "

And as far as which job I get, I really don't care which of the three I get. They say choose your most desired, 2nd and 3rd, but I really don't care which. Though if you say I'll have a great instructor in OPS, then that might be a good way to go.

I suppose if you're awfully quick ,you can still catch the Hanson as we haven't quite left spacedock yet.

I really have nothing to do with the academy, but just like to poke my head in here every no and then. I also offer my services via PM or email if anyone has any questions, especially those who are brand new to simming. I would be more than glad to help out. Of course, if you are training as a marine, go ahead and make me your number one spot and I'll see what I can do.

I'm waiting to get my assignment from the powers that be. If they assign me to the Hanson, I'll go gladly. I'm told it's a great ship with an equally great crew. By the way, what class are all these ships? Just wondering. And seems there's a lot of folks here more than willing to help. That's cool.

I will leave it up to you Cadet Grayson. If you want to join the current mission on the Hanson then that will be fine, but you will have to read up on three pages of the mission before you even get started. On the other hand, if you want to go on the Hepta you will have to wait for a few weeks.

Well, I would do that if it were fine. Cause I'm on a time constraint right now. See, I (in real life) signed up to go into the Navy, and I could leave as early as Jan. 3rd. Now, if the Hepta's mission would begin and end before then, then I would like to wait. However, if it's mission will go beyond then, I would gladly serve aboard the Hanson. Please let me know which is which, and I'll make my decision. Thanks.

If (in real life) ye'll be leavin' for th' military that quickly, then due t' th' fact ye'll be leavin' as early as January 3, th' mission o' th' Hepta might be extendin' a wee bit beyond your time t' leave. For that reason, an' for that reason only, I might suggest leavin' on th' Hanson; 'tis aboard that ship I did me own trainin' cruise, an' 'tis guaranteein' I am ye'll enjoy them as well.

However, me thoughts expressed here are only a suggestion, mind ye.

The possibility of Hepta mission being longer than you posting here before leaving does exist, as Captain Edwards has say. But I want to remind you the decision as to which ship you take is yours, Cadet.

I've made my decision: I'm going aboard the Hanson. It took me a bit of thinking, but I want to get out there now. I only need to be told two things: is it for sure ok for me to go on, and what position will I be in. Tell me those two things, as well as whatever else I need to know, and I'll read up on the posts and start adding my own to it. Hope to serve with you soon.
