Well Im not new to simming at all...I just felt like beginning from the bottem, Sir Ive played over 5 Sims now Aha:) so not quite new blood then...but new blood all the same;) and eh....I'm a female....(no matter what navy protocol says..I prefer ma'am...if you don't mind:)) And Mr Whillis, you too welcome to the academy. I'm sure you've read all the welcome messages a couple of times now so I'll save writing it again:D As Admiral Drew says, have a look at the reporting thread on the Hanson <assuming there he means a cadet report in as well, I admit I haven't looked yet>

Once you graduate I'm sure you'll be able to "lead" your own squad of NPC marines once you are assigned to a ship:)

Welcome to the site, Vittorio. You can create your own thread, or join one of the many ongoing ones on Conqueror. The Hanson will be the next ship going out, and they are calling for all cadets to report in there as well.

I had thought I already have welcome the new cadets, but I do not see my greeting. I am sorry.
Anyway, much welcome to all who are here, our new cadets at Section 47! I am Commander First Class Xin-Ling Chan, and can usually be found on the USS Hepta, Security Department, though we have just returned from a mission.
Enjoy your time here at our home!

OOC: I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be posting "in character" here, so I'll pretend I am supposed to until told otherwise. However, I joined just lastnight and haven't quite yet worked my character out, but will soon. And I'm fairly new to simming, so yeah. Anyway, on to my post:
ON:
Cadet Nick Grayson reporting for duty. I've yet to be told where I will be stationed, but I requested the USS Hapta. I also requested (in descending order) the following positions: Tactical/Security, OPS, and Helm. I want to be on the bridge, where all the action is, so I chose accordingly. Always have been eager to join Starfleet, so I did! However, I'm new here, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello Cadet Grayson I am Commander Matt Reynolds the First Contant Envoy to Operation cadets. I have read your message and unfortunately at the present moment the Hepta is not on mission, but the Hanson, which is commanded by a highly experience CO, RA Paul Drew and instructors is. To your question you can choose any department that you want, "but I'm hoping its operations, you'll have a great instructor " Also I'm here to help you in anything as well as the Academy staff which would be more than happy to do. If you got anymore question you can PM, MSN, or just post here.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'll be sure to come to you with any questions I got. And, if the Hepta isn't available, I'll go where I'm sent. And as far as which job I get, I really don't care which of the three I get. They say choose your most desired, 2nd and 3rd, but I really don't care which. Though if you say I'll have a great instructor in OPS, then that might be a good way to go. Well, I gotta go. Bed time. *yawns* ttfn!

I suppose if you're awfully quick ,you can still catch the Hanson as we haven't quite left spacedock yet. ~Commander S'reena Hope, FO USS Hanson~ (too much in a hurry to bother changing accounts hence the response on this account)

This looks to be a good bunch. And we have another marine as well. Welcome all.
I really have nothing to do with the academy, but just like to poke my head in here every no and then. I also offer my services via PM or email if anyone has any questions, especially those who are brand new to simming. I would be more than glad to help out. Of course, if you are training as a marine, go ahead and make me your number one spot and I'll see what I can do.
Have fun everyone. We have a great bunch of people on this site.

If they assign me to the Hanson, I'll go gladly. I'm told it's a great ship with an equally great crew. By the way, what class are all these ships? Just wondering. And seems there's a lot of folks here more than willing to help. That's cool.

I will leave it up to you Cadet Grayson. If you want to join the current mission on the Hanson then that will be fine, but you will have to read up on three pages of the mission before you even get started. On the other hand, if you want to go on the Hepta you will have to wait for a few weeks.

On the other hand, if you want to go on the Hepta you will have to wait for a few weeks. Well, I would do that if it were fine. Cause I'm on a time constraint right now. See, I (in real life) signed up to go into the Navy, and I could leave as early as Jan. 3rd. Now, if the Hepta's mission would begin and end before then, then I would like to wait. However, if it's mission will go beyond then, I would gladly serve aboard the Hanson. Please let me know which is which, and I'll make my decision. Thanks.

Top o' th' mornin' t' ye, Cadet Grayson! An' 'tis welcomin' ye t' Starbase Conqueror I am!
If (in real life) ye'll be leavin' for th' military that quickly, then due t' th' fact ye'll be leavin' as early as January 3, th' mission o' th' Hepta might be extendin' a wee bit beyond your time t' leave. For that reason, an' for that reason only, I might suggest leavin' on th' Hanson; 'tis aboard that ship I did me own trainin' cruise, an' 'tis guaranteein' I am ye'll enjoy them as well.
However, me thoughts expressed here are only a suggestion, mind ye.

The possibility of Hepta mission being longer than you posting here before leaving does exist, as Captain Edwards has say. But I want to remind you the decision as to which ship you take is yours, Cadet.
And by the way... welcome to Section 47! ;D

Cadet 4th class John Miels Brandy reporting for duty, sir. I was also mistaken and must not have seen the marine selection for the application so if I may I would like to change my first choice of station to Marine, I WANT ACTION!!! , anyway it also does not matter where I am stationed. Welcome aboard, Cadet Brandy. I do believe, if I'm wrong I appoligize in advance, that you can train as a marine, and that you can join the Hanson if you want to. We haven't left dock yet, and I do believe no one would mind if you joined us. I am Commander Joan McCormick, Operations officer for the Starbase.

I've made my decision: I'm going aboard the Hanson. It took me a bit of thinking, but I want to get out there now. I only need to be told two things: is it for sure ok for me to go on, and what position will I be in. Tell me those two things, as well as whatever else I need to know, and I'll read up on the posts and start adding my own to it. Hope to serve with you soon.
