Posted on behalf of Hannah, who couldn't access the boards:
Hannah entered engineering with the group and her focus went straight on the warp-core. She had seen many different variations of a warp-core in the tons and tons of simulations they had done at the academy and she had the opportunity to see a few first had when she had worked with her uncle, but they all mainly worked of the same principles. She had read about a few experimental warp core design and even look an extra lecture course in at the academy that included a section about on it.
She looked around engineering at every control panel trying to remember each read out and what they did. She had read the specs, but that didn’t give her a feel for the engine room and she would be spending all of time here.
She listened to Noah, but concentrated more on taking everything in. She wanted to make a good impress and show Noah that she would make an excellent engineer.
“I have familiarized myself with the standard Intrepid class specs, but are there any major upgrades that makes this ship different from the original design?” Hannah asked.
She knew that most engineer added upgrades to there ships from new ship designs and papers published by other engineers, knowing these updates would make her job easier and stop any confusion when deal with any upgraded systems in the future.

"Jarod Arakkis," Arakkis introduced himself to the operations chief, "and to be honest, I wouldn't have a clue where to start either, but I do know that this ship has these handy wall panels that could tell us where we are, and how to proceed."
He grinned sheepishly at her. "You're the ranking officer ma'am, it wouldn't be right for me to take the lead here. Besides, I've been here only for one mission so far, and spent most of my time on that Klingon vessel....so I haven't a clue where everything is either."
He watched her introduce herself to the cadets, then proceeded to do the same. "Security instructor Lieutenant Jarod Arakkis," he announced, "please follow Commander McCormick's orders at all times. If she says don't touch, then you don't touch, is that understood?"
He grinned at the young crowd. "I wouldn't want to have to arrest anyone because they disobeyed orders," he laughed, "it wouldn't look very good on your records for starters."

“I have familiarized myself with the standard Intrepid class specs, but are there any major upgrades that makes this ship different from the original design?” Hannah asked.
"Excellent question, Cadet," Noah responded. "And yes there are. The most significant upgrade would be to the Warp Core itself. Most Intrepid-class starships operate on a First-Run Advanced Propulsion Drive, or APD-01. We, on the other hand, have been upgraded to the APD-02. The matter and antimatter injector assemblies have been improved for longer durability, and there have been enhancements to the swirl chamber to the Matter/Antimatter Reaction. The efficiency of the fusion reactors and impulse engines has also been increased over most Intrepids. Although the improvements to the fusion reactors I oversaw myself."
"Any other questions?" he asked.

Calvin was working on the bridge at the operations panel with Instructor McCormick when the Commanding Officer and First Officer walked on to the bridge. They both made their way to Mess Hall, and so did Calvin and his Instructor after closing thier respected panels.
Once inside the mess hall all the cadets and instructors gathered around together and listened to Admiral Drew and Commaner S'reena.
Shortly after the meeting everyone was placed in a group. Calvin was in the first group. Calvin was then surroned people that he had only meet with once, and others that he had never meet with before. But he did not find this time to be the best place to introduce himself. Instead he listened to the instructor that was giving the tour, and making small smirks at his jokes.
The first place the group visited was Engineering. Calvin paid close attention for the fact that his role in operations would be close to the Engineering team. He felt and was told that he needed to be familiar with most departments.
Calvin took his PADD out and made notes about each section and information. He also made note of the different APD-01 and APD-02.

With introductions out of the way, they head off for the turbolift. Several of the cadets start to talk, but unfortunatley no one says a word to her. She doesn't know if she likes that, but decides to ignore it trying to think of what to show the cadets. She knows what she wants now, but where could it be, then suddenly a number comes to her out of nowhere.
"Computer deck ten." She says, trying not to show the group her dilema. It doesn't take too long to get down there, and she leads them down the corridor entering a set of doors.
"Cadets, welcome to the shuttle bay. As you can see several shuttles are here to be maintanced, and for flight when we need them." She says very nervous, since she has never given a tour before in her life, or at least one she can remember. It didn't feel natural to her, so she guessed she hadn't done it before ever.
"'Any questions?" She says hoping the Lt. would help take over here as well giving better info than she had just done, and she looks at the cadets.

"Hello, cadets, I am Commander Joan McCormick, and we are going to begin our tour shortly. First off I think we should have a round of introductions, and please tell us what you will be training in." She says. "Oh, and I'm the Operations Instructor, sorry thought I should give a good example, go ahead cadet." She says ushering the introductions into play.
With none of the other cadets taking the opportunity Jack jumped in with his intro duction. "I am Cadet Jack Whillis, and I am training in Navigation Ma'am, and Sir."
Jack listened to the other introductions and then the group left the Mess Hall. He walked a little to the back of the group as they followed Cmdr McCormick and the Lt. to a turbolift. He listens to the other cadets but does not readily join in unless someone asks him something, he likes to learn about people by listining to them before he starts conversations with them. They all pile into the lift and wait as the lift goes to Deck 10. When the doors open the Commander leads them down a coridor to some large doors. To Jack's pleasure it was the shuttle bay that these doors concealed. The cadets followed the officers in and jack listened to the Commander as she gave a rather brief explination for the room. Of course what could be said about it, the room was as it's name implied, a Bay where the Shuttles were kept, not much else to say about it.
Jack liked the shuttle bay, He had done some training in these smaller craft and knew that for a while he would be much more comfortable flying a small shuttle bay than the huge ship.

After the other group left the Mess hall my group started off.As I walked I noticed the Commander and how she never had spoken sence the Mess hall and nobody even talked to her.Everybody else talked besides the Commander, Jack Whillis and myself.I was vary intrested in the corridor I read that it is made of one of the strongest metals known to the Fedaration. Then we got to the turbo lift we all shuffled into it and the Commander said Deck 10.Wile the turbo lift begain moving everybody stopped speaking and it was really quiet as you could hear that noice or it was more like a rythem.Tho I enjoyed listening to the other cadets talking the nice and quiet and that soothing rythem was a nice pause in the tour.
Then after a minute or two tho it felt like a second maybe two the turbo lift stoped and we got out of it.After that we went to the shuddle bay the nice Commander told ous the obviovs welcomed ous and told ous a small bit about the shuddle bay.Tho the other cadets and I hate to say myself looked like ok next part of the tour Jack looked really tooken to the room witch I gess is cool everybody has there likes and dislikes. After the little observation of everybody I decided to talk to Commander McCormick. As I walked up to her she didn't say a word so I started the convorsation.

The shuttle bay was the other place the John liked to be as he was a pilot. He knew that tours were just ways to get the instructors and cadets together and chatting. John saw that cadet Shelby had made her way over to McCormick to try to either strike up a conversation or to ask her a question. John smiled and thought that if only if the Cadets knew that we are people too ... but just because we are instructors, he guessed, the cadets thought we are unapproachable.
John made his way over to the navigation Cadet ...
"Cadet Whillis, after reviewing your records ... I think it important that you sit behind the flight controls for our departure from space dock." John looked at the young Cadet, the color left his face, "Cadet are you alright? Don't worry about it ... we have safety protocols in place ... the hardest thing is not to scratch the paint job." Leaning in to the Cadet who was still pale, "I don't think that the Captain would like the paint job messed up ... we just got this thing back from the shop a few days ago." John had a grin on his face by this time ... all the times that his instructors joked around with him ... now it was his turn to do the same ... tradition he guessed.

"If there are no other questions," Bates said finally, "we'll continue with the next part of our tour, which is Sickbay. Doctor Black, would you like to lead the way?" he offered.
"Certainly," Jason replied. "This way, everyone," he said, as he led them out of Engineering.
As they walked along, he decided to take a page out of Commander Bates's book and add a humorous warning himself. "As Commander Bates warned you of punching or kicking the walls, I would likewise warn you not to run headlong into them. That'll knock you out, and cause a nasty concussion that I'd rather not deal with."
They reached the turbolift, and they all piled in once more. Fortunately, Commander Bates by the door this time, which would make getting out easier for him. "Deck 5," Jason instructed the computer.
A few minutes later, the door opened, and they stepped out. A few meters down the corridor, and they stepped into Sickbay. He gave his staff a warning by raising his eyebrows.
"Welcome to Sickbay," he said after they'd all filed in. "As this is the place on the ship where you usually only go if you're sick, injured, or are scheduled for a physical, it's not the Crew's favorite place to be. However, if you do find yourself here, you'll be well-treated and warmly recieved," he said smiling.
Michael walked over. "Hello everyone. I am Doctor Michael Hope, Assistant Chief Medical, ship's Pediatrician, and husband to our First Officer."
"Quite the Doctor he is, too," Jason added. "Here in Sickbay we're equipped with one of the most advanced medical facilities available on a starship of this size, including an EMH, which I rarely use fortunately."
He then turned to introduce the rest of his Staff. "And here is our support staff. Nurse Rachel Evans, and Medical Lab Technician Matai. These two women are very good at bringing a pleasant, cheerful environment."
The two smiled at the group of Cadets, then returned to what they were doing. "So, any questions?" Jason asked. "Anyone think they're sick? Perfect place to be if you are," he added, winking.

"Cadet Whillis, after reviewing your records ... I think it important that you sit behind the flight controls for our departure from space dock." Jack jumped a little at hearing his instructer talk to him. He had been so taken by the shuttle bay and the tour he had not realized that he was even in there group, having heard the part about piloting the ship out of space dock Jack felt the blood drain from his face. "Cadet are you alright? Don't worry about it ... we have safety protocols in place ... the hardest thing is not to scratch the paint job." Leaning in to the Cadet who was still pale, "I don't think that the Captain would like the paint job messed up ... we just got this thing back from the shop a few days ago." Commander Graxen had a grin on his face by this time which helped Jack relax a bit. "I will do my best sir." Jack had been running simulations on his computer in his quarters but now he decided to go to the holodeck after eating. "I promise that there will be no damage caused by me on this flight sir." Jack said hoping he sounded more confident than he felt. He looked back to the front of the group trying to think of a way to strike up conversation with his instructor when he noticed Cadet Shelby trying to strike up conversation with their guide and could not help but notice his ineresting eyes. He decide he would have to ask him about it if he got the chance to speak to him. He turned back to Commander Graxen to ask a question, "Sir, how dificult was your first time piloting a starship?" <Tag Graxon>

"Sir, how difficult was your first time piloting a starship?" asked Cadet Whillis.
That took John back to his first assignment as counselor. " Cadet, I didn't pilot a starship until my first assignment out of Medical ... on the USS Budapest. The ship was short crew-members and the First Officer asked me if I would take a shift with the bridge crew. He knew that I was a pilot and had been certified through the Academy. So, I spent all my off hours in simulations working with the First Officer." John paused for just a moment and laughed. "I took over from the Chief Nav Officer during a shift change and, of course, the ship was in warp to a Star base ... huh ... I don't even remember which one now. I droped out of warp just outside the outer marker," turning to look at the Cadet, "the one that marks sub-light flight from there on in to the base. Well, as you are aware, one of the jobs of a navigations officer during sub-light speeds is to watch all space traffic and also work the navigational deflectors. ... To make this story a bit shorter," seeing that the tour was moving on, "I deflected that outer marker as I had mistakenly thought is was space junk."
John new that this would make the young Cadet feel better, but it was still a bit embarrassing to tell. "Cadet," John said, "the hardest thing to understand during training missions is ... there are going to be times you do everything correct ... just by the books. Then at other times even when you follow every line in the book to a 'T' ... well ... Cadet ... those times the book will simply not pre-pair you for what has to be done. And that ... that is what makes officers out of cadets." John didn't know how this information would be taken, but he hoped it would allow the Cadet to understand that the best is what is expected ... and sometimes the best, John thought, isn't written in a Academy manual somewhere. "Don't worry Cadet, I know you will do just fine ... and I will be sitting right their behind you ready to keep you out of harms way." Before the Cadet Whillis chould turn around John stopped him, "Cadet, as advice ... the key when a starship is in space dock is control ... not speed."

Joan realized that Cadet Shelby had come near and she waited for a question, but none came. She hadn't realized the cadet just wanted to chat, and since no one had any questions, she had decided to move on.
"Okay, and now next for our little tour, I thought we might look at the brig." She says looking to see if anyone is paying attention. "Don't worry, I wouldn't do that. I know for a fact that the brig is pretty boring, and we won't be seeing it on this tour. I also hope you don't see it this whole mission. Anyways onward we go." She says taking them outside the shuttlebay, and down the corridor a little bit. She hears the cadets talking behind her, and she smiles a little realizing she needs to relax. She finds that this isn't so bad, but she wouldn't want to make a career out of it.
Joan pauses outside the next area. "No one is to touch anything in here." She says, and then they enter the room. Inside is the warpcore, and she wonders if she should say anything about it. She thinks anything she would say would be too obvious, and pretty stupid just like the last one. She notices Cadet Shelby right near her again, and wonders what is going on.
"Is there something you wanted cadet?" She says confused.

Arakkis chuckled then walked up to Joan. "You might want to tell them something about the brig anyway," he whispered at her, "I know for a fact that our dear commanding officer and first officer both have been chucked into the brig quite a number of times. In fact, one of the former CO's was once our current CO's FO...and she tended to chuck him in the brig."
He smiled at her. "And I'm sure Commander Hope won't mind you telling about the times she spent in there.....she might have a laugh about it at that." He gazed at the teenage operations instructor. "Might be fun...and who knows, maybe a few cadets in our group will volunteer to test the brig's safety? And find out for themselves that there is no escape, so that if we do have detainees, the rest of the crew is perfectly safe from them?"
He took a smal step back and flashed a grin at the group of cadets. "Commander McCormick will lead us to the brig area after all. This brig has held some celebrities, even amonst our own crew."

She listened intently to Noah’s answer to her question and found it of great interest and knew it would be of help during the upcoming mission.
Hannah had many more questions for Noah, but she knew this wasn’t the time to ask them all. There would be plenty of time on the mission to learn everything she needed to know and ask all her questions.
The group moved on the sickbay. As they entered the turbolift Hannah turned to Capps. They had meet before in the heather on the hill and had talked a bit then.
“Have you seen your quarters yet?” she asked. “Whom are you sharing with?”
<Tag Capps>
They enter sickbay and Jason started talking about the place. Hannah didn’t find this as interesting as engineering but listened to the doctor talk. She knew that she may have to deal with engineering problems in every parts of the ship and it would help to know a bit about them and people who served there.

When I walked up to the Commander I didn't say anything hoping she might. After about a Minute of nothing she said that we where going to the brig next. After that everybody just went silent and she said she wouldn't do that to ous. Then we started walking and continued the tour.
After that we made our way to the next room.Befor we went in she said dont touch anything witch makes a person want to kinda touch stuff. We enterd to my delight the Warp core was right there. As right after I walked to the Commander She asked if I needed anything and I asked if I could maybe just wonder around there for a bit.The Commander said sorry but no we will have to be getting going soon but I'm sure you can later. The other cadets where kinda like ok this is pwrity cool not where is the next section at.Tho they didn't say that I got that impression. After about a minute I started to walk up to the council And the Commander reminded ous not to touch anything. After looking around the room the Commander started ous to the next scetion of or tour.

Jack listened to Graxon's response to his question and felt a great deal more relaxed about flying the ship. Also hearing the part about Control and not speed he decided that it would definately be difrent from a shuttle, which he had come good at flying at high speed. He followed Commander McCormick into engineering and was interested in this room as it was the heart of the ship. With out the equipment here his job would be pointless. He waited for the Comander to say something but when she didn't he decided to ask a question, "How fast does this ship go Ma'am?"
<Tag McComick>
He felt a little stupid asking, he was sure that the awnser was in the ships specs but he hadn't read everything about the ship yet. He listened to the awnswer and followed as everyone continued the tour. He quickly came up beside Shelby and decided to ask him the question that had been plaging him. "Uh...Whats up with your eyes? They look really interesting." He said a little nervouse that he might ofend him.

She heard his question, and smiles realizing that a navigations cadet would ask such a question. "The fastest speed is Warp 9.975." She says not remembering completely, and she realizes she wasn't in navigations while aboard this ship before, but she feels that she is right on this. She decides it might be time to take the cadets to the brig, and then if time permitted they would continue like she had planned.
She heads out and toward the turbolift again. She says the deck number for the computer goes to. The lift is a buzz with conversation, and Joan wonders if she had any friends from her training mission. She also wonders where they might be at this time. She turns her thoughts back to the tour, and finds that they have arrived at deck 15. Heading straight for the brig again, Joan feels a little dizzy, not sure what is going on. She swoons a little, and as they step inside the room, she goes down.

Right after the Commander tells everyone for a second time to not touch anything Jack walked up to the Commander and asked what the top speed of the ship was as she was answering I could only think about what it must feel like to be in charge of making sure such an amazing ship like this one works correctly.
After the Commander told him everything he wanted to know he kinda wonderd his way to me.After about a second he asked me vary nicely why my eyes are diffrent. He lookied like he was nervous befor during and after he asked me.I kinda smerked as I said no reason to be nervous I get that all the time.Well for staters I'm Human and how my eyes ended up like this is when I was 5 or so I got into some chemicals when I was seeing my parents. Both of them where engineers and I lived with my Grandma so I never seen my parents. So I hope that answers your question. It's ok to ask me any questions about the ship I read all the specks and the Commander was correct it is exactly 9.975 and the ship is alot like a big fighter it can maneuver more than a Galaxy class starship and can take quite a beeting aswell. But If you ever get mad dont punch the walls there made out of on of the hardest material known.

Tyrron saw Joan McCormick going down and for a couple of seconds Tyrron saw flashes from one the battles he fought in his younger years he saw his girlfriend going down, he remembered this because he saw Joan go down, "MEDIC!!! Tyrron screamed. he reacted quickly, and grabbed Joan before she hit the floor.
He now gently lay ed her down on the floor, and tries to wake her up. "Commander?.... Eej commander. commander Joan wake up." And now Tyrron becomes dizzy again he saw some flashes the same happened to his girlfriend, but he couldn't save here, she was too wounded, she died...
He couldn't help but some tears rolled out of eyes down his cheeks. He wiped them away. And tried to wake Joan. After a couple of minutes Joan opened here eyes.
"Commander, are you all right?"

Jack listened as Shelby told him about his eyes and some info about the ship. As they enter the brig Jack was going to ask something when he saw the Comander go down and heard Tyrron call for a medic.
"Commander!" Jack yells
Jack runs over to help Tyrron with the commander but does not know what to do. He doesn't have a tricorder and doesn't even know what to do after scanning her as he did not have medicle training. He hits his combadge.

He hopes they arrive soon or that Commander McCormick wakes up. He is a pilot not a Doctor and Jack feels a little helpless in this situation, though he hopes he does not look weak infront of the Klingon.

Jarod whirled around as he heard the cries behind him, and saw Tyrron kneeling besides Joan, who already had her eyes open. He blinked, when he saw tears streaming down the Klingon's cheeks. ~a crying Klingon?~ he thought, stunned.
Then common sense took over again, and he sped forwards. "Commander, are you all right?" he asked, shaking her slightly. He looked up at Tyrron. "Good job cadet, very good job indeed." He too tapped his combadge. "Arakkis to Black, we've got a situation here. Commander McCormick has collapsed. She seems to be conscious, but she's not reacting to us."
<Tyrron/Black>
Arakkis got back to his feet. "All right folks, until Doctor Black gets here, we'll just have to stick around the holding cell area. Anyone got any questions about being thrown into the brig, or want to hear any tales about instructors being thrown in?"

After seeing the cadets off, S'reena had first gone by her quarters to get a new uniform. She knew she ought to have done it sooner but she was starting to feel rather uncomfortable in her regular uniform as it was starting to get too tight around the waistline. A few minutes later, she walked out again, wearing a tunic that was a little roomier, and actually sort of looked like a real mini dress.
"There. much better," she muttered, "now, to see to that banquet in the mess hall." She walked down to the mess and found the cook. "We need a wide variety of foods," she instructed, "including gagh." She gave the cook a disgusted look. "Who on earth would want to eat live worms?"
"Klingons," cookie laughed, then nodded at her, "but in your state, I wouldn't recommend looking at them. You're what, six seven months along?"
"Nearly six," S'reena answered, "and it's getting tough. Now, about the banquet?"
"Ah yes," cookie replied, looking over the PADD the first officer had just given him. "I think I can manage this within two hours. You can tell Captain Drew that it'll be all ready."
"It's Admiral Drew now," S'reena smiled, "and thank you cookie, I'll let him know." With a final smile, she found herself back on her way to the bridge. "Cookie reports that the banquet will be ready after the tour," she reported to Drew.

Joan opened her eyes looking around at everyone around her not sure exactly what had just happened.
"I think I'm okay, what happened?" She says sitting up, but not standing yet. She doesn't like the answer she recieves, and realizes she went down for a reason, but what? It suddenly hits her, as she finds she remembers being in this brig before.
"Computer, was I ever in this brig before?" She says wanting to know if it was true, and if she was really remembering.
[glow=orange,2,300]"You were first incarcerated here on your training mission twice."[/glow] It answered, and suddenly Joan remembered why.
"Oh yeah, I switched sides joining the enemy to get information for our crew, and to get our captain back. I'm sure I'm fine now, it was just my memory returning. I hope that doesn't happen again." She says looking around at the worried faces, hoping to reassure the cadets.
"Thanks for the concern, but I seem to be fine." She says standing up wanting to continue the tour.

=/\=Cadet Whillis to Sickbay. Medical Emergency deck 15, in the Brig =/\=
Jason turned to Rachel. "Rachel, would you mind-"
"Arakkis to Black, we've got a situation here. Commander McCormick has collapsed. She seems to be conscious, but she's not reacting to us."
"Never mind," Jason said to Rachel. "I'll handle this myself." He picked up a med kit, and turned to Bates. "I'll be back as soon as I can," he said, and left.
He headed down to the Brig. Was it a product of her affected memory, or something bigger causing both? It could be either.
A few minutes later, he was going through the smaller corridors on Deck 15. He reached the Brig. Joan was standing, but looked a bit disoriented. He immediately pulled out a tricorder, and scanned her. "Are you alright?" he asked as he did so.
"I'm fine," she said, brushing it off. She looked slightly annoyed at the delay in her tour.
"She just blanked and then went down," Arakkis reported. "We had no warning."
Jason looked at his tricorder puzzled. "Well, oddly enough I can't find anything out of the ordinary, but then a tricorder is limited. Stop by Sickbay sometime soon, okay?" he said to Joan. "I want to get to the bottom of this."
"Fine," she said.
Jason left. He still felt disheartened that she didn't remember him or anything they'd shared together. Their relationship was back to the beginning, or even further back, if possible.
When he returned to Deck 5, the group was just leaving Sickbay. "Sorry about that," he said to Bates. "So, what next?"

The bridge was once again staffed by Beta Shift personnel, as the Instructors carried out the tour of the ship. Still docked at the Starbase, there wasn’t actually much to do on the bridge, but within shipping out due within a few hours, it was best to get all hands used to work again.
Drew himself was busying reading a report that had been handed to him upon his return to the bridge. Therefore it was a surprise when he heard the operations console start to beep loudly.
“Admiral,” Lt. Carter, one of the junior ops officers said, “we have an incoming message for you from Admiral McCormack.”
“I’ll take it in my ready room Lieutenant,” Drew said, leaving his padd behind on the chair. Walking into his spacious office, Drew found his communication unit already displaying the face of Admiral McCormack, Commander of the Academy Fleet.
“Karynn, a pleasure to see you again,” Drew said, taking a seat opposite the computer screen.
“The pleasure is all mine Paul,” McCormack answered, “settling in well?”
“Well enough,” Drew answered with a smile, “although something tells me this more than a personal call.”
McCormack smiled slowly, and placed her hands out on the desk.
“Afraid not, we need you to bring forward your launch time, the energy signatures we wanted you to investigate have increased. We need you to resupply Starbase 28, and then get into the Calbot sector ASAP.”
“Understood,” Drew replied, “we can be departed within thirty minutes.”
“Good,” McCormack answered, “have a good trip, don’t let those Cadet’s turn your hair even more grey!”
“Drew out,” Drew replied dryly, ending the communication.
Getting up from his chair, he made his way back to the bridge, just at the same time as S’reena was walking out of the turbolift.
"Cookie reports that the banquet will be ready after the tour," S’reena said as she approached Drew.
“We are going to have to postpone that,” Drew replied sadly, “command wants us to move out now.”
“Something come up?” S’reena asked.
“Whatever is happening in the Calbot sector has just gotten bigger,” Drew replied by way of explanation, “they want us to get out there ASAP.”
S’reena nodded in understanding, and followed Drew to the command chairs. The two officers took there seats, and both looked towards the forward view screen. At the moment all it showed was the inside of the Starbase, with a number of other craft nearby receiving repairs. But pretty soon it would once again show the stars.
“Admiral Drew to all hands,” Drew said, activating the comm system, “report to your stations, we are going to be departing from the base. I repeat, report to your stations.”
“So much for dinner,” Drew heard S’reena mutter as the turbolift doors opened to admit the first crewmembers.

Jack walked a little closer to the commander as the tour continued incase she went down again. sudenly e heard the admirals voice echo through the ship ordering everyone to their stations. As he said this the tension in there group seemed to rise a little. ~Darn no food.~ Jack thought before focussing on his job and getting into a turbolift and called to the bridge. He was going to fly the ship, maybe. Jack was excited and still a little nervouse at the prospect. He had not had a chance to get to a holodeck for some realistic simulations. He wouls just have to remember what he read and like any pilot go with wat feels right.
The lift doors opened and Jack stepped out onto the suddenly busy bridge and stood by the helm console and waited for his instructor. A suddendeparture could mean anything and Graxon might have changed his mind on ltting the cadet fly. While he waited for Commander Graxon, Jack busied himself with getting the helm ready for departure.
