Suddenly Joan felt dizzy again, and steadied herself using a console. She was lucky she used the edges and didn't hit anything, although it would have been good to see if the cadet was paying attention.
"Cadet, I'm not feeling so well, and am going down to sickbay. I want to test you here as well, as you will be all alone at our station. I hope you can handle it." She says leaving him to report to her commanding officers. She walks over to them to keep it quiet, and she has to steady herself again.
"Sir, I need to go down to sickbay, and I will be back as soon as humanly possible. My cadet knows where I am going, so he will be able to contact me if he needs me." She says reporting the situation, and then carefully heads for the turbolift as the room starts to spin. She sits down once inside telling the computer where to go.
When she reaches sickbay, she stumbles falling to the floor. Jason turns to see the door open, and Joan collapse just inside it. He scoops up a tricorder and goes and kneels next to her. "Joan! Are you alright?"
"Yeah, I'm just dizzy, and I can't seem to walk straight." She says hoping, getting to her feet, to get to a bed before she collapses again.
"Here, let me help you," he said, helping her over to the bed. He started scanning her. He hoped he would find something more than before. "So what happened?"
"Everything just suddenly started to spin, it was gradual at first, but then it became worse. I don't know more than that doc." She says hoping this helps.
He stared in disbelief at the results of the tricorder. "I can't find anything wrong," he said amazed. "How long does it last?"
"I haven't experienced this before, hey it just started a few minutes ago, and now I'm starting to feel better. Strange." She says noting the spinning suddenly stops.
"Anything of note happen after this happened the last time? Particularly that is also happening now?" he asked. He'd have to input all this into the computer later for a possible diagnosis.
"Last time? Doc, this didn't happen before, and I don't have any idea why it started. We have just left space dock." She says getting a little upset.
"I was called down to Deck 15 while we were giving tours because you had similiarly collapsed. Do you not remember?" he asked.
"Yes, I remember that, but I wasn't feeling dizzy at the time. I just went down, with no warning to me or the others." She says remembering it all to clearly, and she remembered the memories that came with it.
"So dizzyness this time, but the previous time?" he asked, starting to note all of this on a PADD.
"Nothing, the last time, and I have no idea what caused this. Last time I had memories returning to me, but no dizziness was involved." She says getting a little more upset, and not liking to have to repeat herself.
"Anything else from either experience I should know about? Any feelings, sensations?"
"Nothing else doc." She says a little disappointed by this encounter, but what did she expect, after all this is just typical of a doctor.
"Have you had any additional memories come back, about anything, or anyone in particular?" he asked, hoping to mask his personal intent in the question.
"Only last time when I collapsed, it was about me being in the brig, but not just one time, it seems I am someone who gets put there quite frequently." She says trying not to groan.
"Yes you are there quite a bit," he commented. He put the PADD down, and with it his professional attitude. "Joan, this is going to sound odd, but do you feel anything when I do this?" he said, taking her hand in his. She groans remembering the last time they met.
"You did this in the Heather, and I believe I did this." She says removing her hand from his. He put his hand back at his side. "My apologies. I just had to check. Do you know the reason as to I keep doing that?"
"I have no idea why you keep doing that. Is something going on here?" She says clueless to what truely is happening.
"Yes, yes there is," he said. "You don't realize it, but part of your memory that you lost is of the relationship between us. We cared for each other very dearly." She is completely shocked, and doesn't say anything.
"How do I know you aren't making this up?" She say recovering quickly.
"Alright, I'll try to jog your memory then. Do you feel anything when I do this?" he asked, then leaned in and kissed her on the lips. She wasn't expecting this, and doesn't pull away from him, but she doesn't push into his kiss. Suddenly she remembers him, and she realizes he is kissing her, so she pushes in hoping this is confirmation enough.
He kissed her for a few more moments, then pulled back. He smiled. "Oh darling, you do remember me," he said, touching her hand. She smiles nodding, happy to have more of her memory back.

After I told the Commander what I wanted to do he agreed.Then the Commander tod everybody to ge out besides me,Hannah,Lt. and himself.Then the computer reminded ous of the time we had left till failure which I knew vary well without the reminder.
Then we all started on the systems the Commander gave to ous.Hannah worked on the Injectors the LT. worked on the Ejection system with the commander.
As Hannah and I worked on our seprate systems I noticed that I kinda like her tho I was really way to busy to really take time to talk to her.I started to make my own little program that would help me and Hannah.
About 30 or 40 seconds later I finished the program and then started to help Hannah wit her part.As I helped her I told the Commander that the program was ready and that I was helping her with The Injectors and to please tell me when to start the program up.

Jack sat at his controls watching the stars move by on the view screen and checked his course for the hundredth time. ~Good t o be thurough~ Jack thought. He looked around and saw that Commander McCormick had arrived and was putting cadet Capps to work. it looked like most of the Cadets on this cruise was at the Tacticle station. Glancing over there his gaze was caught by the only girl in the group. She seemed to have the perfect combination of klingon and human featrures that catch Jacks eyes. A movement catches Jacks attention and he sees the ops instructor leaving the bridge. ~I hope she is ok.~ jack thought and returned to checking his course and making sure everything was in working order.
ooc: I agree with shelby this is fun and I am glad I did this.

Jason pulled himself back to reality. They were both on duty. "Now," he says, taking her hand in his. "I think you should return to the Bridge before we both get in trouble."
"Alright," she said, hoping off the biobed. As she walked away, she held onto his hand as long as she could, but then both let go when she got too far away.
He watched her leave, and smiled back as she waved over her shoulder on the other side of the door. He smiled, watching the door close behind her. He looked over, and Michael was leaning against the doorway to the Office, watching him.
Jason straightened up. "How much did you see of that?"
"Enough that I should report both of you, given that you're on duty," he said, then laughed. "But I won't. I know how important that was to you."
"Thanks, my friend." He picked the PADD back up. "Now, I need to figure out what's wrong with Joan..." he said, going into his Office.

The shift was dragging out ... just as most did. Cadets were training ... running simulations ... learning the instructors hoped. The first officer and the captain had been sitting on the bridge looking over reports and mainly just being silent. John didn't know why, but he thought that was strange. Being the ship's Betazed Counselor he could feel everyone on the bridge ... he was aware of them all. John's ability to know what people were thinking, almost to the point of knowing exactly what was being said in their minds, was a talent that he didn't like for people to know he had. Most of the time he just told people he could just tell general moods and feelings; but in fact, he could tell more ... much more.
Looking back down at his PaDD that was linked into the flight system, he saw a ship on long range sensors. It didn't have a transponder and was to far for any other identification. It was on an almost intercept course bearing 315 mark 300 ... its speed wasn't fast so John calculated that the ship would be in better sensor range in fifteen minutes. His own training wanted to jump and alert the crew ... but he still had a bit of time to allow either his Cadet or the Tactical Cadet to notice it. He sat there tapping his fingers on his lap ... looking at Cadet Whillis. Whillis was checking his panel ... why didn't he see the ship on the navigation sensors John thought. In his mind John was thinking ... 'its right there ... your looking right at it'. Could it be the Cadet didn't know it was a ship? Why didn't Tactical see it. In another five minutes the ship's computer would switch to auto and alert the crew ... but by that time it could be to late.
Was the ship even a threat ... was it just some transport ship that would change course away from a large star ship. 'But why would it not have a transponder ... or if it did ... why would it be turned off', John was about to alert the Captain when ............................

Jack sat still watching the stars and rechecking his course, warpfield, and making sure the Inertial dampeners stayed alighned. ~Warp flight could be so unevent full,~ Jack thought.He glanced at his Navigational sensors and looked up at the view screen. ~Wait a minute,~ he thought and looked back at his sensor display, yes he was right an object was out there and the Hanson was closing at a reletively high speed on it. Jack new that it was going to fast to be anything but a ship but was not sure if he should say any thing about it yet. He tried to see if he could get a better scan but Navigational sensors are not desighned for detailed scans. ~why would there be no transponder? Maybe it was damaged. Well then I should alert the bridge staff,~ Jack thought this through quickly before turning in his seat to face the rest of the bridge. "Sirs, I am detecting a vessel on the longrange sensors. It does not have a transponder. Its course bearing is 315 mark 300, almost I direct intercept course sirs," Jack said this all quickly and thought if there was any thing he was missing. Deciding he had given them all the information he had he turned back to his controlls andleft any more details to the people with the more acurate sensors. ~Well maybe not that uneventfull after all.~ ooc: Yay something to do.

The Romulan first officer smiled encouragingly at the youngster. "That is quite all right cadet," she replied, "and from what I can tell you do know your field. Though I reckon that you were not quite finished."
"Up your sleeve?" S'reena echoed, "ah, like that. Please continue cadet, don't stop on my account."
"Well, I hope it does not come to this," S'reena said, clearly awed with this cadet's knowledge, "but it seems that if we do get into a tight spot, we have someone who knows his Intrepid class vessels. What do you think Mr Arakkis?"
"Quite so," the human security officer agreed, then turned to Soaringstar and Tyrron. "how is the target practice coming along?" he asked them.
<Tyrron/Soaringstar: work with CNO to do some practice, and react to what they do. Fire on that vessel only if there;s cause....but post at your own creativity:)>
Arakkis turned back to Brandy. "What made you go marine?" he querried, "you would make a fine tactician."
<Brandy>
S'reena turned sharply when the doors to the bridge swooshed open to reveal a new cadet. She recognized his face from the personnel file they had received only just before the Hanson departed. "Cadet Grayson, how good of you to join us." She motioned towards the OPS station, which was now only manned by Cadet Capps. "Commander McCormick will be back soon, please get yourself acquainted with the station. Cadet Capps will fill you in on what Commander McCormick had instructed him to do prior to her departure."
<Capps...tell Grayson what you were doing please. Grayson.....please introduce yourself:D species would be nice to know too>
After a brief introduction, S'reena seated herself beside Drew. "They're doing quite well," she whispered at him, "but where exactly were we going again?" She was certain he had mentioned it at some point, but she couldn't remember what or when.
<Drew>
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Michael frowned. He could see his chief was worried about Joan, but in turn Michael was getting worried about his chief. He seemed utterly distracted when it came down to dealing with the chief of operations, and Michael was worried that he might miss other things by thinking only of the young woman.
"if there's anything I can help you with...." Michael started, as he followed Jason into the office. "Technically, Joan is still a child as she's just about seventeen, and thus would fall under my care. I heard that she's suffering from a memory loss, but also that she has a partial positronic brain. Is there a malfunction in that?"
Joan returns to the bridge with a quiet turboloft ride and a big smile on her face. She feels like they will beat this thing yet, and hopes that things are going well in finding what is wrong. She turns her mind back to her duties wondering what she should do with her cadet. When she arrives back at her station, she is surprised to find another cadet, but she hides her feelings.
"Welcome aboard cadet, we are just setting up for our mission, and if you will take the left pannel for now, then Cadet capps can take the front one. You will be watching for any incoming messages for now, and later I will switch postions." She says moving to the back to keep an eye on the cadets and her pannel for the moment.
“Starbase 28” Drew said to S’reena, answering her question, “remind me to buy you a pocket diary.”
S’reena shot Drew an evil glare, and then turned her attention to her own console, like Drew she was monitoring the various tests and drills the ship’s departments were carrying out. So far Drew was very pleased to see that for the most part things were going well.
Glancing around the bridge, it did seem odd to see so many people stationed at the same consoles. Before now Drew had served really only on fleet ships, where just one person would sit at a console. While he fully trusted everyone assigned to the stations, and believed in the Academy system, it was going to take some getting used to, having so many people on his bridge.
Drew’s thoughts were distracted by a call from Cadet Whillis from the forward helm console.
"Sirs, I am detecting a vessel on the long range sensors. It does not have a transponder. Its course bearing is 315 mark 300, almost a direct intercept course sirs,"
“On screen,” Drew ordered.
At once the image of an empty star field was replaced by an image of a single silver ship. At the moment, the ship was too far away for Drew to get a good look at it.
“Can we magnify the image?” he asked.
Seconds later the image was much clearer. The design appeared unfamiliar to Drew, although it appeared to be an old vessel. It had no clear markings that could identify it.
“Hail them,” Drew ordered, leaning forward slightly in his chair.
“No response,” Joan replied from Operations.
“Any signs of weapons?” S’reena asked, looking over to the Tactical console.
Drew cast a look over towards that direction himself, presently the primary tactical console was manned by three Cadets, as well as the instructor. Drew was pleased to see all four of them were working hard at there consoles, although he caught a few of the Cadet’s exchanging nervous glances at each other. Finally, an answer was forthcoming.
“We are reading energy signatures that could be weapons,” Soaringstar replied.
“Let’s raise shields,” Drew said slowly, “better to be safe than sorry.”
Suddenly the entire bridge shook violently, causing some of the crew to full to the deck. Thankfully the newly installed “seat belts” in the command chairs kept Drew and S’reena in place. “Report,” S’reena called out, as the red alert alarms started to sound.
“Direct weapons fire,” Soaringstar reported.
“Helm, evasive action,” Drew called out.
“Operations, continue to try to hail them,” S’reena ordered, “maintain continuous scans, try to identify them.”
“And Tactical, target there weapons and engines,” Drew continued to order, “Fire front and starboard phasers at will.”
OCC:
For your information, this is just a drill, everyone on the bridge please feel free to take this in any direction. You can even injury myself or S’reena
Joan had heard her orders, and just nodded instead of responding vocally.
"Okay, cadets we have what we need to do. Capps, they are going to need massive energy in several different places. We need to send them to tactical, engineering, and the helm. Grayson, watch for incoming messages, if we get something the captain needs, and he doesn't get it, then I do believe he will have our heads for it later, or rather he will have mine." She says turning to her console as well hoping they don't notice she is monitoring them while she continues to hail the other ship hoping they get through.
Lt Jarod Arakkis was having a difficult time; this was his first actual experience as instructor, and he really didn't have a clue how to go on about it. To make matters worse, he didn't just have one tactical cadet, but Starfleet Command bestowed two marines on him as well.
Right now he was running on pure adrenalin, and his stress levels were high as he tried to keep track of his own cadet and the two marines. Brandy kept firing questions at him, and offering suggestions, while the two Klingons kept unusually quiet. His face was flushed scarlet and sweat was running down his forehead and cheeks.
When the ship shook, it had taken him unawares and he was thrown backwards, cracking his skull on the console behind him. His eyes rolled up in their sockets and without further sound he sagged to the deck, a small pool of blood forming under him.
<Soaringstar/Tyrron/Brandy responses please. Soaringstar, continue to monitor the ship and take action at your disgression. Tyrron, continue target practice. Brandy, sweep ship on possible intruders. Take a team of non playing characters to investigate.>
S'reena gazed intently at the main screen. Though she knew they weren't in any real danger, she still felt a little anxious. She was very grateful for the 'seatbelts' keeping the senior officers in their seats. However when she spotted that Arakkis no longer was at his station, she released the restraints that kept her in her seat and walked over to them.
"Where is Lieutenant Arakkis?" she asked the two remaining cadets, "did he leave with Cadet Brandy?"
Jason nodded. "She mentioned something like that. Perhaps theres something in her medical record," he said, sitting down at his desk.
"Should be," Michael noted. "I don't know how Doctor Mackler would overlook entering something like that."
"Indeed," Jason said, turning to his monitor. "Computer, access Starfleet Medical record on Commander Joan McCormick."
And, as he expected, the computer yelled at him. "Access to that file is restricted. Please state authorization code."
"Authorization Black Two-Five-Pi-Alpha," he responded. The record appeared, and Jason scrolled through. "Ah, here it is," he said. "Turns out that that sentient virus messed with the positronic part of her. The coding in the positronic brain was affected."
"Outside both our realms of expertise," Michael noted. "Perhaps one of the two Bates' has some experience."
"Good idea," Jason replied, and tapped his commbadge. "Sickbay to Commander Bates."
Surprisingly, the computer replied. "Engineering is currently running a drill involving Commander Bates. Communications to Main Engineering has been restricted. Please do not proceed unless this is an emergency."
"Disregard command," Jason said, and turned to Michael. "I guess we wait a bit on that."
And again he saw flashes of one of his greatest battles before his eye's He shook them off, No tyrron this is not the time you will have to do some tarrget practice. Tyrron stepped behind one of the turrets and started to aim at the ship. "hmm let's see his weapons yeah fire on ttha... Hey photon torpedo launchers gues it's better if i fire on that first." "Die you scumbags!!!" He shot on launcher to dust and aimed but he stopped and thaugt for a moment. There was a guy lyiing on the floor he didn't noticed because of the rush of war. (o.c.c i wassen't finsihed with this post yet, but my dad shot down the computer is was barely in time to submit the part i wrote I will continue this post after i read the new one's I also wanted to call a medic for Lt. Arakiss but i see that is already done.)Tyrron saw some guy sitting next to Arakiss good he has also called for a medic. "You, you over there can you opperate a turret?" Ehm.. yes sure, wh.." Tyrron didn't gave the man the time to speak out. "Go take my place then I will see if I can help the Luitanent." "Brandy, the Luitanent is he alright?" Tyrron asked him. Jack sat at the controls and waited for the orders that the Admiral would give him. Sudenly the deck heaved and it sent him from his seat to his knees on the relatively uncomfortable deck. The Admiral ordered the helm to take evasive action and Jack jumped up back into his seat and turned the ship to avoid another shot, barely. ~Great we are in combat and I have to dodge Torpedoes in this blody ship,~ Jack glanced back a second at Graxen to see if he was going to take the controls, hawever he seemed fine with minitoring everything an his PADD. As he manuevered the ship he remembered what Graxen said about overlaying the tacticle and navigational sensors in combat. He hit a few buttons and his sensor display changed completly which took Jack a couple af seconds to figure it out.
"And Tactical, target there weapons and engines,” Drew continued to order, “Fire front and starboard phasers at will.” Hearing this Jack turned the ship to bring those weapons to bear on the enemy. Performing that manuever put them right into the path of another shot that shook the bridge. ~shoot,~ jack thought as he turned the ship to avoid another shot, ~These guys are good.~ Jack continued with his manuevers trying to keep the maxmum amount of weapons locked on the enmy ship.
The strike from the now attacking ship caused the bridge to become a hive of activity ... John realized that the ship was still at warp ... seeing that Cadet Whillis wasn't going to bring us out of it ... John hit the commands on his PaDD and done so ... if not, the ship would have done so on its own due to red alert protocol for acad training ships.
The ship shook ... and Cadet Whillis was jarred out of his seat. John thought to himself, 'he will not forget his restraints next time', with a grin. The Cadet jumped back to his seat and turn the ship in time to miss the next volley. John was glad that the Cadet called up the tactical view ... but it took to long for the Cadet to understand all the new information. The Cadet turned the ship so the suggested weapon banks could be to-wards the attacking ship ... "Cadet ... keep the profile thin to the attacking ship ... don't bring the broad side to view of the attacking vessel."
<Whillis>
"Cadet, the targeting will display on the read-out ... the boarder of the read-out will flash to indicate what weapons bank the tactical officer is targeting with ... if you can't set the ship up in time for the firing solution ... you have to inform tactical. Also .. forward shield is now down by 15 percent ... keep the attacking ship either to port or starboard to allow those shield generators to regenerate." John wasn't getting on to the Cadet ... just helping him focus his thoughts ... "Cadet ... you are doing fine ... you just have your sequence out of order a bit ... oh ... and Cadet ... during battle you will find that this class ship behaves similar to a run-about." John sensed that the Cadet was being to easy with the ship. "She will do what you want her to ... just remember the internal dampeners do have a limit."
Calvin stood at the ops console when his instructor excused herself. She seemed to be having some sort of problems, but she also seemed in some control of it. The Cadet did not want to butt into her business. It was unethical to him.
As Commander McCormick was gone a new cadet stepped on the bridge. He listened to the First Officer give the cadet orders, and Calvin was surprised to hear it was another cadet in the operations department.
Cadet Grayson walked over to the ops station. "Nice to meet you Cadet Grayson, I am Cadet Capps."
<Grayson>
"The console on to your left is incomming messengers, the one that I am looking at is power flow. Commander McCormick should be back soon."
Before the the conversation could continue the ship shook violently, and the Operations Instructor showed back on the bridge.
"Okay, cadets we have what we need to do. Capps, they are going to need massive energy in several different places. We need to send them to tactical, engineering, and the helm," stated Commander McCormick.
"Aye sir." Calvin said calmly and plainly. Calvin kept his mind straight, and focused on his duties. "Optimal power is being used sir. I have dropped the ships unneccary powers offline to accomidate for battle situations."
The ship shook again, Calvin had to hang on strong to his console so he would not fall over to the ground. The cadet continued to watch the shaking console and making sure that there were no major power inefficiencies.
Jack listened as Commander told him how to improve and told him about giving the enemy ship the smallest target possible. "Yes sir," Jack said a little anoyed, not at the commander but at the situation. The ship shook from another hit nearly throwing Jack from his seat again, then jack remembered that someone in starfleet had finaly gotten smart and put restraints on the chairs in the bridge. Jack hit some buttons and belts flew around him securing him to his seat. He knew he should have called up a display of the new sensor display while he was studing in his quaters, a hesitation like that could cost the lives of everyone on a ship sometime. He heard Graxen say something about the forward shields but did not catch it all. He looked down at his tacticle interface display and saw exactly what the Comander had been saying, the forward shields were on the verge of colapsing.
Jack hit the controlls pulling the ship hard to its port side and continued to dodge the enemy fire while the Hanson returned fire. He took Graxens advice about not being so gentle with the ship and found that it was easier to dogde torpedoes and phaser fire than he thought. Sure they still took some hits but lets face it a ship this size can not dodge every thing. He looked down at his controlls and saw that tacticle wanted to launch a torpedoe from the aft launcher. ~Thats fine,~ Jack thought. He could expose the aft section long enough for them to fire and even if they got hit the shields in that section was still at max. Jack turned the ship and heard a slight thump as the torpedoe was launched. Jack looked down at the inertial dampener's display and saw that he was pushing them close to there limit but still within the safety range. ~Probly have to recalibrate them after the battle just incase they come out of alighnment from alll the manuevering,~ Jack thought as he turned the ship to avoid another volley, the ship still shook as it caught the edge of the attack.
Arakkis turned back to Brandy. "What made you go marine?" he querried, "you would make a fine tactician."Brandy made a slight adjustment to his posture. "Well sir, I do love strategy and tactics, but quick franckly." Brandy's face squinted and his shoulders shrugged. "There is not enough pure combat action in security or tactical as there is in the corp...." John's eyes crepted to upward as if he had a brief thought. "I guess I could say I have a nack for being destructive." He said with a slight smerk on his face. Commander Hope then took notice of another cadet that had entered the bridge and moved over to sit by the Admiral. With Lt. Arrakis occupied with the other two cadets that stood at tactical Brandy took the oportunity to really notice all the activity on the bridg, ~This is awsome to be here on an actual star ship~ Brandy thought to himself, he hoped the glee he had felt was not too transparent, he did not want to spoil the "tough guy" image a marine has to uphold. He noticed as the view screen was made to display a ship, he herd the Admiral order to magnify the target. Brandy's mind switched to strategy mode as he emediatly thought key areas should be secured, he turned to Lt. Arakis, "Sir, if I may with this ship being suspicious like this may I recomend either a security or marine detail be stationed on the bridge and main engineering, especially since there is a flag officer pressent." <Lt Arakkis>"Yes sir, also if I may I would not mind being able to have some sort of weapon either, would that be possible?" Brandy stood firm as he rested one hand on the tactical console. <Lt Arakkis>Suddenly the bridge was rocked violently, it took Brandy by surprise, but he was able to catch himself from falling completely to the floor, with the tactical station console. He rose to his feet, the red alert sounded and the room filled with a red gloom. “Report,” S’reena called out, as the red alert alarms started to sound.
“Direct weapons fire,” Soaringstar reported.
“Helm, evasive action,” Drew called out.The ship on the view screen quickly dissapeared as the Hanson performed evasive manuvers, Brandy had to resist the urge to just take over the tactical station, not because he thought he could do it better, but becuase that was just his personality, not to mention it was not his job. Give him some intruders and "now we're talkin." “And Tactical, target there weapons and engines,” Drew continued to order, “Fire front and starboard phasers at will.” Came from the Admiral as the ship rocked back and forth from another hit. What seemed like hit after hit, rocked the ship as Brandy found himself to be getting very angry, he wished he could go out an airlock and rip their ship to shreds with his own bare hands, he didn't even care that his lungs would burst long before he ever got close. Suddenly a large jolt threw Brandy against the wall, amongst most everyone else not strapped in. When he regained his barring he realized Lt. Arakkis was injured, Brandy rushed to his side, he noticed the pool of blood that had formed beneath his head. "Sir, are you alright!" Brandy yelled hoping his voice could be herd over the large amount of background noise. He found Lt. Arakkis to be unconscous and unresponsive. =/\= "Cadet Brandy to sickbay, medical emergancy, Lt. Arakkis has suffered a head injury on the bridge, he is unconcious and unresponsive, prepare to recieve him."=/\= Brandy tapped his combadge again. =/\= " Cadet Brandy to transporter room one, I have a medical emergancy on the bridge prepare to beam Lt. Arakkis directly to sickbay."=/\= A quick "Standing by, " came from the comm. =/\= "Energize"=/\= a blue flash and he was gone and hopefully ok. The turbolift doors opened to release a marine detai, they were all enlisted. Brandy stood and walked towards them, "Who's in charge," Brandy said as he wiped the fresh blood from his hands onto his uniform. A marine sergeant stepped foreward of the four men. "You are sir, when we were ordered here, we were told a marine cadet was on the bridge and that he would take over sir." Brandy extended his open hand to the marine, "Give me a weapon," the marine gave a phaser rifle to Brandy, "Thought you would need one sir." "thanks." replied Brandy, "Now two of you post guard here on the bridge, first priority is to protect the admiral... Move out." The two marines took up tactica positions as best they could to protect the Admiral. "Now you two come with me." The three marines stepped into the turbolift. <Tag anyone in position to spot out intruders>OOC: Just a couple of things though, I thought this was a drill, if it is then I will be chasing gohsts around the ship, following faked life signs of intruders?
"One minutes to Warp Core breach," the Computer announced.
Bates entered useless commands into his console while watching Stevenson and Shelby work side-by-side. They were starting to work together, which was good. Deciding to up the stakes, he discretely signaled to Lt Bates. Mike entered some commands into the computer, and a vapor began spraying out of the Core.
"Magnetic constrictors have overloaded, sir!" Lt Bates yelled above the hissing noise. "The breach is accelerating."
Noah wheeled over to the Core, waving the other Bates over. They began to work on the magnetic constrictors, but talked about the Cadets as they went.
"They're handling the pressure well at least," Lieutenant Bates noted. "They aren't panicking and aren't caving under it."
"Indeed," Noah replied as he began trying to lock down the magnetic constrictors. "But I notice that Mr. Shelby looks at Ms. Stevenson a bit more than the task requires."
"You think he might like her?" Mike asked.
"Possibly. My gut says that, and I always trust my gut," he said.
"I trust your gut too," Mike said, stifling a chuckle.
"Thirty seconds to Warp Core breach."
OOC ===> Instructional Post CNO's duties during Tactical / Evasive Maneuversfrom ... s47.org/guides/helm.phpManeuvering a starship during combat is one of the most difficult things to do. The Helm officer has to keep track of a variety of things. Keeping track of other ships, weapons firing from other ships, keeping your ship stable for the Tactical officer to fire their weapons, maneuvering the starship so that it does not get hit by enemy fire and also so that the side with the shields still intact, get hit. When performing maneuvers it is important for you to remember that space is 3 dimensional. You can move in any of the three directions or along any vector combination of the three. CTSO's duties during Tactical / Evasive Maneuversfrom ... s47.org/guides/tacsec.phpThe Tactical Officer will be in charge of the tactical side of missions. You will control the weapons and shields [along with shield status] from the tactical station on the bridge and you will have the responsibility to fire weapons on the CO's or FO's command. You will report to the captain as to any damage done to an enemy ship or asteroid or whatever you are firing at. Incoming hails are also routed through your station. for all CadetsJust a thought about posting during a battle ... don't worry about writing "fast". I know in your mind you are seeing everything happening very fast. Don't be afraid to slow down and post with descriptions ... even if your post only has one main even that takes place (others will fill in the holes ... don't worry). So, take your time ... and convey the moment ===> Paint word pictures.
Hannah and Shelby worked well together. They seemed to know what each other was thinking and so could anticipate what the other wanted to do. The program for the injector systems was almost complete when Hannah noticed the vapour beginning to spray out the core.
Hannah and Shelby worked faster to complete the program. Hannah could feel Shelby watching her and looked up at him. Their eyes meet for a second and they knew they felt something for each other, but this wasn’t the time to do anything about that feeling.
They finish the last part of the program.
“The program is complete,” Hannah shouted to Noah, “Ready to activate it on your order.”
(OOC: Moving things along here)
"Given that I don't feel like dying today," Bates yelled over, "Please do so!"
Lieutenant Bates picked up a PADD, and used it to program the computer to remove the problems that he and Noah were supposed to be fixing with the ejection system.
A few moments later, Hannah called out again. "It's working! Injectors and containment system are returning to normal."
Bates wheeled over to them. "Good work. Computer, end simulation."
Instantly, the lights in the room went back up, the vapour ceased spraying out of the core, and the emergency lights and klaxons deactivated. Both Stevenson and Shelby looked at him in amazement.
"Yes," he said, nodding. "What you just went through was a simulation. "You did well. Granted, I set the simulation so that there was a possibility for you to succeed. In a real situation, we would have probably blown up by now." He reached over to a comm circuit. "Bates to all Engineers. Simulation over."
With that, the doors opened and the Engineering staff returned to the room.
"Congratulations," he said with a rare smile. "You've passd your first test. What did you think?" he asked. "Anything you were thinking, feeling?"
=/\= "Cadet Brandy to sickbay, medical emergancy, Lt. Arakkis has suffered a head injury on the bridge, he is unconcious and unresponsive, prepare to recieve him."=/\=
Jason and Michael looked at each other. "Arakkis..." Michael said. "Isn't he the new CTSO Instructor?" he asked.
Jason nodded, and they both proceeded into the Main Room, where Arakkis was beamed in a moment later. Both men went over and crouched next to him, and Jason pulled out a tricorder and began to scan him.
"Concussion, hairline fracture of the skull, and a small contusion from the impact point. Fortunately the blood from it is not going into the fracture," he added.
"Yeah, don't need that problem," Michael replied.
"Indeed, I don't particularly feel like cranial surgery today," Jason said, finishing the scan.
"Especially since your surgical speciality is Cardiac," Michael added. "Any neck injury?"
"No," Jason responded, closing the tricorder. "Let's move him onto a biobed. Rachel," he said, waving her over.
Jason and Michael lifted his mid-section and legs, while Rachel carefully supported his head. They moved him over to the new surgical bed.
"Can we revive him?" Rachel asked as they lowered him down.
"Doubtful," Jason said. "He might be in a coma." He injected him anyway. No effect. "Yeah, thought so."
Jason tapped his comm-badge. "Sickbay to Bridge. Lieutenant Arakkis has a major head injury, and appears to be in a coma. I'm sure when he'll come to."
Just as Myself and Hannah finished the program the commander yelled up start the program 1 second later it started working and me and Hannah where massively releaved.Just then the commadner wheeled over to ous and said "end simulation"...
Just then me and Hannah where both kinda wordless.Just then he confermed that it was just a simulation and told all Engineering personal simulation over.
As the personal came back into the room he said Congratulations you've passed your first test any questions what do you thinking or feeling right now.
Me and Hannah both just kinda stood there quiet.After a minute he walked over to LT. as he did that I started to talk to Hannah.
So...would you like to go to mass hall and get sumthin to eat.Hannah answered ok lets go just then we both felt releaved even more because of the fact we both got through it without freaking out.As we walked to the turbo lift we seen so of the engineering staff in the turbo lift as well it was full so we waited for it to just come back.As we waited we talked about what kind of food we think might be at the Mess hall.Hannah said I bet there will be Klingon food there.
They were silent, and Lt. Bates waved Noah over. "Keep thinking," he said, as he wheeled over to Mike.
"Turns out one of our problems was real," Mike noted. "There's a slight imbalance in the power distribution network. The nacelles are getting a bit too much power."
"Hmm, maybe we can hand this one to our Cadets," he said, looking back in their direction. But they weren't there. He turned back to Lt. Bates. "Did you see them leave?"
When Mike shook his head, Noah tapped his comm badge. "Bates to Cadets Shelby and Stevenson. Where did you two go?" he asked, annoyed.
Shelby answered. "We were on our way to the Mess Hall for something to eat."
"While on duty?" he exclaimed. "Did I not mention that that was a very bad place to be found while on duty? And you are not supposed to leave your station without authorization from a superior. Get back here immediately."
"Yes sir," Shelby said, timidly.
He sat waiting for them, glaring at the door. They returned quickly. "Meals wait until your off-duty," he said forcefully. "You two never answered my question. And no silence is not an answer. What were your feelings during this? What were you thinking of? Anything come to mind that you disregarded?"
