Zoë smiled, feeling much better after her instructor's kind words of encouragement. She would try her best to follow his advice. Zoë sipped on the tea she had ordered while she took careful notes on everything Commander Blayne was saying. She would be keeping an eye on Commander Wesson and Lt. Franklin while they were on duty AND she had to be discreet about it.
Zoë nearly blushed when her instructor gently admonished her for all the note taking, she nodded mutely. She hadn't thought about it that way, but of course, he was right. How did she think she would feel if she felt scrutinized all the time? She would do her best to hide her observing times from the crew, to make her job go easier. She was just so nervous and so afraid she would forget something that she got a little carried away with the note-taking. Whe she was finished her instructor still had not answered her initial question and she was really curious now, so she took a deep breath and spoke...
"Umm, sir? You haven't answered my question about how you keep your own mental health while keeping an eye on everyone else's" Zoe prompted gently.
YrDis: Sorry. You're right. Starfleet chooses their Counsellors in large part based on their mental stability and strength. However, if I'm feeling stressed out over my duties, I usually sit in my chair and look out at the galaxy for a while. By the time I'm finished seeing how immense it is, my problems, whatever they might be, seem far more small and manageable" the counsellor concluded. "However, you will find your own way to deal with that kind of thing. Do you have any other questions, Cadet?
Oh Boy did she, but she figured there would be plenty of time over the voyage for all of her questions eventually. Instead she said:
"Actually, sir, in all the commotion of leaving spacedock and finding my cabin and then reporting to the Bridge...I never actually got to see the Counselling facilities, sir..." she paused "I think it might be good to know where they are!" she laughed "It's a big ship and I would hate to get lost."
Zoë, a very go-lucky person by nature, was all smiles, then she seemed to remember herself and toned it down a bit and sipped on her tea.
"I mean..umm..if that's alright with you, of course, sir!" she tried to regain her cool composure. She definately needed to learn how to get the crew to trust her like Commander Blayne did, that was for sure!

Cadet Zoe and Yrdis left the bridge, with Tony's permission.
Tony forced his mind to concentrate on the reports filtering in from the new cadets. A small work up on the USS Cheyenne came from Zoe and Yrdis, Engineering reported the warp core was doign very well at Maximum speed and ETA was 1 hour. Sickbay cadets had reported and all supplies were in place. There was also a long list of suggestions from the tactical station.
S'reena shoved a cup of coffee into his hands and Tony looked up at her- he obviously wasn't hiding it as well as he had thought. He drank the coffee and continued to read into the reports.
"We will arrive in 30 minutes, captain." Paris said from the helm, DJ nodding his encouragment.
"Very good, cadet." Tony said smiling at her. 30 minutes, he thought. He had been out of it when the distress call had come through, and S'reena had dealt with it. Now he was going to have to deal with it.
He tapped his new freshly replicated combadge, "Marcell to all instructors and cadets, report to conferance room 1 immeadiatly for a quick breifing. Marcell out."

Watching over Cadet Paris as she deftly piloted the Hanson from spacedock I was impressed with her abilities and confidence although maybe a little reticent about her pulling a practical joke on the Bridge.
After she had set the course and speed into the computer I checked it over to verify it for safety and correctness.
"Looks good Cadet, there are a few ways to improve it but it really is very good the way it is."
After we had gotten underway Cadet Paris stood up to stretch her legs just as Commander Hope walked back in from the ready room.
As Commander Hope headed for her seat she looked over to me with a mischievous look that spoke volumes.
"That chair gets uncomfortable doesn't it?" I asked Cadet Paris as I moved slightly around such that she was unable to see the XO slide the whopee cushion down on the chair for the Cadet to sit down on.

"Marcell to all instructors and cadets, report to conference room 1 immediately for a quick briefing. Marcell out."
Illito glanced at Dr. Black. “I suppose that I can have the instructors report for their physical after the briefing? I'll ask them privately, of course.” She waited for a response, either a nod of approval or a shake of the head. “In whatever order is necessary?”
< Dr. Black>
She glanced at him again. “The summons includes us, right?” She didn’t know what would happen when all the instructors and cadets were in one place, but she didn’t think it would be very good. After all, some people probably already disliked someone else, for some reason or another. And she tried to stay away from conflict whenever possible. Oh, great, she thought. She could see it now. Some day, when she would be a doctor, the Captain would order that a battle would be entered, and she would advise against it, just because she didn’t like to fight. All right, she thought. She wasn’t that against conflict. She just didn’t like to be personally involved in it. And she would just make sure that she wouldn’t be, that was all.
Well, it seemed like she would be meeting the Captain soon. As well as the rest of the crew. Illito decided that she was looking forward to it, though she wondered what exactly the circumstances were. She guessed that she would find out.

S'reena gazed at her commanding officer and shook her head in dismay. She wrinkled her nose at the smell of alcohol, and looked him over closely. The usually impeccably clad commanding officer was unshaved, unbathed, was wearing what appeared to be the same uniform as days ago, and had been drinking. Not even the strong black coffee appeared to alert him.
She looked up when Wesson appeared back onto the bridge with another security cadet. Dontai was busy manning the tactical station, and appeared oblivious to the return of his instructor and a fellow tactical cadet. Another tactical officer stood on watch near the turbolift doors, as was usual when on yellow alert. Quietly, she got up from her chair and walked over to the pair, and waved the other officer over as well. She addressed the new cadet first. "Please join Mr Dontai at the tactical station," she told him, "Mr Wesson will join you shortly."
She then pulled Wesson and Crewman Fethers aside. "You are to take Captain Marcell down to he holding area. He's appeared on duty in a drunken state, which is against regulation. When you get there, I want you to place him under an ice cold shower, wrap him in a pile of blankets and lock him in for a few hours so that he can sleep it off. He's been like this for several weeks now, and I am going to recommend to the counselor that Marcell be ordered to see him."
Wesson and Fethers nodded, walked up to Marcell and hauled him to his feet by grabbing an arm each. In silence, they marched him off to the brig area, where they shoved him into the shower and then wrapped him tightly into a pile of blankets so that he would not get ill.
S'reena was fully aware of the shocked glances, but the shock only lasted shortly and everyone returned to their stations as the ship shuddered violently. "Paris, evasive maneuvres!" S'reena cried, as she sat down in her chair, "Dontai, fire phasers and target their engines and weapons array, disable only! OPS, identify!"
"They're Maquis," Commander Rio replied from OPS, obviously surprised at the identity of their aggressors.
S'reena frowned, the Maquis had not been heard from in ages. She wondered what they would want in this situation. "Hail them," she ordered.
"Maquis vessel, this is Federation Starship USS Hanson. You are in violation of this area, cease you attack on the colony at once!"

YrDis was about to reply when...
=/\= Marcell to all instructors and cadets, report to Conference Room 1 immediatley for a quick briefing. Marcell out. =/\=
She watched her instructor take one last slow sip of his coffee. Zoë hurridly finished her tea
"It seems your wish will have to wait until after the briefing, Cadet." YrDis smiled at her as they headed for the turbo-lift once more.
"I am sure it will still be there, sir" Zoë said good-naturedly.
They were just about to get on the lift when all of a sudden the whole ship shook. Zoë quickly grabbed onto the wall so she wouldn't fall over.
What was happening? she thought. The shuddering ship made Zoë feel like her insides were floating inside her. Her feet stumbled over each other as the ship shook and shuddered. It soon passed, but it was a heck of a shock. Zoë looked over at her instructor questioningly
"Sir, are you alright?" she inquired

THen get any available information on the system and the planet and it history and make a plan from their. IF This isn't the right answer then i don't know what is. I Cant solve this these questions, i dont see how you can prepare for the unknown, all you can do is best make stander preparations like raise shields. Dontai was lost in thought when the ship shuddered violently. Donta i was angrey and confused and just cadet. Over eager to see action. He didn't even noticed his combadge beeping. HE was lost in some Crazy paranoid thoughts. He was snapped back to reality the ship shuddered violently.
When the reality of it all sank in He herd commander Hope scream "Dontai, fire phasers and target their engines and weapons array, disable only!"
Dontai almost in a instant his hand was over the firing button and was preparing to return fire.He activated the targeting computers, manual charge them and began to regulate phaser band emissions.
"Crave get to coordinate aligners pls and rerout power from Phaser bank 2-5 through 1."
Dontai Hit fire button, then fired agin. He adjusted every fire so it smaked them around but left in one piece. He target the warp drive and the outer edge of there impulse drive. Dontai kept a good eye on the hull percent and shield strength so that ship wouldnt be destroyed.
" ma'am hope I have a request pls tell Paris and Gordon to keep on them, the are trying evade us using evasive maneuver patter delta h-5. They are trying to flee the area you will have to follow them for me to keep up the firing. I have destroyed their weapon aray engines is another story.

S'reena nodded that she had heard the tactical cadet and turned towards Gordon and Paris, who was still standing. "You heard him Mr Gordon, Ms Paris. Follow them, keep track of them so that Mr Dontai can disable them."
She held on tight to the armrests of her chair as the navigators sent the Hanson in a series of twists, turns and loops to keep track of the Maquis vessel. "Whenever you're ready, disable them Mr Dontai," she ordered, nodding her approval to his instructor. "Ms Shakespeare, any luck on raising them?" She twisted and looked up over her shoulder at the operations cadet.
"Sickbay, as you may have noticed we're under attack, prepare for casualties! Blayne, I have a task for you and Ms Zoë." She quickly explained the captain's situation, and sent them down to the brig area.

Shakespeare gave a negative respond. Hawking shook his head as well. No reply whatsoever.
"Damage report," S'reena requested.
"All decks report no damage ma'am," Hakwing replied.
"Shields holding steadily at 98 percent," Shakespeare added.
"Ms. Shakespeare," S'reena requested, "See if you can increase power to shields and weapons array. We might need it."

YrDis was propping himself up against the wall of the turbolift. The Hanson still shuddered occasionally, and he could hear the bass vibration of the warp core growing louder, indicating that the ship was drawing more power. In addition, the red alert klaxon began to go off. He looked over at Cadet Zoe. "I'm alright. Generally, the counsellors place is on the bridge, to advise the captain if necessary and to take over if any of the bridge crew are injured. We should continue to the bridge." Zoe nodded and got the turbolift moving again.
The two of them stepped onto the bridge. Everyone seemed calm, considering that they were in combat. YrDis was surprised to see that Commander Hope was sitting in the command chair, with Capt. Marcell nowhere to be seen. On the main screen, he could see a small, unmarked ship about the size of a destroyer manuevering desperately while being stung by the Hanson's phasers. Abruptly, the ship unleashed phaser fire and a volley of torpedoes which impacted against the ships shields. As a result, the secondary engineering console overloaded on the bridge, badly burning the hands of the crewman who had been manning it. YrDis and Zoe hurried over to the moaning human.
YrDis quickly glanced at the secondary engineering console. Despite the smoke, it appeared to still be operational. Looking over at Zoe, who was kneeling on the other side of the wounded man, he said "Cadet Zoe, get me a medical kit from the locker beside the turbolift, then man the secondary engineering console!"
Obediently, she stood and turned to go, then turned back, her face looking confused "What sir?" she said.
"I know that you have received basic training in manning bridge stations. Use it" he ordered.
She turned quickly, retrieved a medical kit from the specified locker, then cautiously sat down at the secondary engineering console.
<Zoe>
YrDis opened the kit, grabbed a hypospray with anaesthetic and shot a dose into the man's arm. Then he glanced over to see what was going on. As he peered at the main screen, a second Maquis ship dropped out of warp. It looked like a larger type of shuttle, but took an attack posture and started firing phasers at the Hanson.

Reassured that Commander Blayne was alright, she followed his instruction and got the turbolift moving, resetting it to head to the Bridge, instead of the conference rooms. So much for the briefing, she thought to herself somberly.
They stepped onto the Bridge and saw the Marquis ship on the screen, firing in their direction. Zoë whipped her head around when the secondary engineering console overloaded. Rushing over to the console with Commander Blayne she knelt down next to the human, she looked down at her fellow crewman, he seemed not much older than she was. before she could get to lost in that train of thought her instructor's voice brought her back to reality.
"Cadet Zoe, get me a medical kit from the locker beside the turbolift, then man the secondary engineering console!"
Almost on auto-pilot she hurried to do as the Commander said, then she paused, What did he just say?
"What sir?" she asked, as she fought to remain upright on the turbulent deck.
"I know that you have received basic training in manning bridge stations. Use it" he ordered.
Zoë nodded and steeled herself, she had never had to do that before, but this was no time to worry about that! She hurried and got the medkit and handed it to Commander Blayne, then sat down cautiously at the secondary engineering console.
She brushed the smoke away with her hand and did a quick check of the damage, the console was indeed functional, but many of the periphary fuses had blown, so the warning lights weren't working.
Zoë worked fast and furious, up-dating status reports and getting engineering status to any station requiring the information. Most everything was holding steady at the moment. Zoë lept her eyes on the graphs and read-outs in front of her. Her nervousness disppeared in the adrenaline rush of the dangerous situation, her training took over and she was so focused, she forgot to be afraid.
Zoë managed to stabilize the console and translate the read-outs. She only looked up when she felt a hand on her shoulder
"I'll take over, Cadet" said the engineering officer, he must have been sent up when the injury was reported. Zoë quickly vacated the seat as the officer sat down and proceeded to take over. Cadet Zoë then looked to her instructor who was finishing his treatment of the wounded crewman.
"Sickbay, as you may have noticed we're under attack, prepare for casualties! Blayne, I have a task for you and Ms Zoë." came Commander Hope's voice through the noise. Cadet Zoë followed Commander Blayne, after making sure the injured crewman was settled, over to the XO's chair. The Commander explained the Captain's condition briefly. Zoë couldn't believe it, she hadn't even noticed the Captain was missing in all the commotion, but she would worry about that later, as well. Right now, she and Commander Blayne were being sent down to the Brig to speak with the Captain.
"I know we have a Red Alert going on," the Commander said " but we need the Captain so it is imperative you see to his condition right away."
Cadet Zoë nodded, she braced herself against a chair as the ship turned again. the noise of orders being shouted and klaxons sounding filled the air, along with the acrid smell of smoke. The main screen looked like a fireworks display as the ships fired on one another. There were two of them now! She looked to Commander Blayne who looked back at her, he was waiting to see how she would handle this! Zoë mentally checked herself then spoke.
"Of course, ma'me, permission to escort the crewman to Sickbay first, ma'me" she asked, indicating the crewman with burned hands, who was still moaning propped up against the console.
"Very well, Cadet, but be quick" the Commander nodded.
"Thank you ma'me" the Cadet acknowledged. The Commander waved them off, concentrating on more reports coming in. Zoë turned to her instructor once more.
"Would you help me assist the crewman, sir?" she asked. Her instructor nodded, letting his cadet swim on her own to see if she could do it, ready to step in if needed.
Together they assisted the crewman to Sickbay and appraised the staff of the crewman's situation
<Sickbay Staff and Cadets>
They then stepped into the lift again, heading for the Brig, Cadet Zoë leaned against the wall taking the chance to close her eyes and collect herself. She then turned to her instructor with her and spoke
"Advice on how to handle the situation with the Captain, sir? My first instinct is to evaluate him for capacity of command and find out the seriousness of his state. If at all possible prepare him for duty ASAP. If not, put him on a course to curb the behavior, but I am at a loss as to how to go about it. Perhaps we should pick up the Captain's file on the way?" she asked Commander Blayne in a rush

"Marcell to all instructors and cadets, report to conferance room 1 immeadiatly for a quick breifing. Marcell out."
Illito turned to Jason in question.
“I suppose that I can have the instructors report for their physical after the briefing? I'll ask them privately, of course." She paused a moment. “In whatever order is necessary?”
"Yes, after the briefing you can ask them to come when they have the time. The results of the briefing may give them quite a bit to do."
“The summons includes us, right?”
"Yes, indeed it does. I have an item or two I want to mention to the Captain, so I'll be just a moment preparing the report."
He went back to his Office and gathered the information on some anamolies he found while examining various crewmembers. He then picked up a PADD containing the information, then walked back to her.
"Alright, Cadet, we can go to the Briefing now."
Just then the ship rocked violently, and then a second time. "That was enemy weapon's fire!" Michael called from the other end of Sickbay.
Jason turned to Illito. "It looks like we won't be going to that Briefing. In a battle situation, the best place for the Medical Staff is Sickbay, unless called elsewhere." He went over to his Office and grabbed his medical overcoat, walking back to Tintagel as he put it on. "We just have to wait now."
After the ship had rocked another time, Commander Hope's voice came over the comm. "Sickbay, as you may have noticed we're under attack, prepare for casualties!"
A few minutes later, YrDis and a Cadet Jason had not yet met came through the door. They were supporting an injured crewmember. He had burns on his face. Jason looked to YrDis for an explanation.
"He was at a console when it exploded. He's only partially conscious."
Jason nodded, then turned to Illito. "Help me get him to a biobed
Jason and Illito took over supporting the crewmember. After they placed him on the bed, Jason pulled out a medical tricorder and ran the peripheral over him. He explained to Illito as he pulled it out. "This is a medical tricorder and this smaller part is the scanner. It can read the condition of the person and report it...plasma burns, and a mild concussion. Rachel, get me 10 CCs Rexalin."
Jason explained again. "Rexalin is a mild sedative and pain reducer. CC stands for cubic centimeter, the common unit for measuring medication." Rachel handed it to him. "You inject someone by placing the hypospray on the skin, usually the neck, and pressing the button like this." It hissed as the medication went in. He then picked up a dermal regenerator. "This is known as a dermal regenerator. It allows us to heal the skin more quickly. You run it over the skin slowly like this like this."
He pressed the button to activate it, then ran it over the forehead. As he did, the burns began to heal. He removed his hand from the activation button and held it out to Illito.
"Your turn."

OFF: Interesting twist, commander S'reena.
ON: Just after Tony had called for the briefing the ship shook. Looking to S'reena he said quickly, grabbing the armrest for support, "Looks like I should of called for the breifing earlier."
S'reena turned sharply to him, her forehead creased in concern - Had he slurred his words? He thought desperately.
"I think you should sit down captain." She gently pushed him back into his seat and said something to Crave Wesson, before issuing orders to defend against the attack. Without warning Tony was grabbed by each arm and wrestled off the bridge, by 2 security officers- one of which was his cheif of Security! They dragged him into the turbolift and brought him to the brig, where they forced him into a shower, and placed him in a holding cell, wrapped in starfleet-issue blanket.
He felt dis-oriented, and vulnerable left in that cell. Crave uttered a quick apology in which he did not make eye contact with his captain, and then quickly returned to the bridge.
The ship shook as the battle ensuing outside the tiny holding cell continued. Tony was enraged. He was the Captain! What would the cadet's think- their captain held up in a holding cell- naked but for a few blankets!?
Antony put his head in his hands and grimaced at the mess he had made of his life recently.
Damn you, Meriah, damn you!! He mentally screamed at his dead sister. Why couldn't you just have stayed on earth instead of going to that stupid mining camp! And with that he laid down and sobbed, insane thoughts swirling around his head.

Illito felt the ship shudder. It was as unfamiliar a sensation as it was unpleasant. She looked around for a couple of seconds, then caught herself, realizing that any danger was probably not going to come from within the ship.
Illito watched Dr. Black help the crewmember to a biobed, woefully aware of just how inexperienced she was. When he held out the dermal regenerator to her, she took it. She could handle that, certainly. She would just have to make sure that she learned quickly. She would probably be expected to deal with far more complicated injuries than a plasma burn before the attack was over. She wondered briefly who had attacked them, then decided that it didn’t really matter. What mattered now was that there were people wounded, and that she could help them.
She tried to slowly run the dermal regenerator over the man’s face and hands. She glanced at Dr. Black and realized that she was moving too slowly. She moved it a little faster. Well, she thought, at least her hands weren’t shaking. She had noticed that some humans’ hands tended to shake when they were nervous, which seemed counterproductive. How could they do what needed to be done when they couldn’t control their own hands? Illito was just finishing up with the man when she heard footsteps outside the sickbay. Just great, she thought, sarcastically. More wounded people.
She glanced at Dr. Black, trying to guess whether the man she was currently on needed more work or whether she should was done here and move on to the next patient. As he looked at her confused, she realized that he probably wasn’t paying much attention to the footsteps. His attention was all in sickbay. As soon as that occurred to her, she could tell that he could now hear the person walking. She glanced at him again, waiting for her next orders.

Dontai stopped mid sentence to look at his sensor readings " are Maquis friend apparently brought some his friends commander, dont suppose you know them or there willing to surrender. It also appears they dislike us, are you commander, are the captain. Did you do something to make them angry ?"
" Ma'am hope im detecting at least 2 more vessel entering the system. One is a Antares a Light Patrol Ship, 3 Crew, like the one i disabled. The other Merced Antares a cousin of the Antares it has 5 crew on board, 4 phaser arrays and 1 micro photon torpedo launcher. There not arming the photon torpedo launcher. Both ships are attack shuttle classes. I have a lock on Merced Antares class, They are coming around for a nother pass there trying to intercept their disabled comrade. She is glad the attention turns from her to someone else. She turns back to her console when all of a sudden she hears a loud farting sound, but she doesn't look away from her display. She is very curious as to why the sun is dying so early. =/\= Marcell to all instructors and cadets, report to Conference Room 1 immediatley for a quick briefing. Marcell out. =/\=
All of a sudden we are attacked by the Maquis. She hits a few buttons to see if she can find an imperfection. She runs many scans only to come up with nothing. She then runs a scan on the deck layout, and notices the computer core isn't protected as it should be. She is a little nervous again, because she thinks the commander should know about this, but she doesn't want to be the one to tell her. Unfortunately Franklin is busy at the moment and has told her not to bother him with anything, so she is on her own at the moment. She must face this, and decides to speak up.
"Commander Hope, I suggest we take out the main computer. It is on deck two just before the armory." She says before anyone else can throw out suggestions of what to do. There is an awkward silence on the bridge. Franklin looks up from his work and over at her, and she doesn't know what to make of this. Deciding to get back to the other problem of the dying sun she punches a few more buttons. She has no answers yet, but she hopes to have something soon because none of this adds up.

S'reena nodded her approval. "Dontai, work with anderson and Paris, and disable that ship without disrupting their life-support. We don't want any casualties on those ships!"
The ship continued to rock hard as the Maquis fired upon them. Jaw set, S'reena gazed at the main screen, but she wasn't totally there. She was worried for Captain Marcell and wondered if she had made the right decision. ~he needs to sleep it off and see a counselor~ she thought grimly ~I didn't like doing it, but it had to be done. I'll visit him when this battle is over.~
As abrubt as the battle had started, it also stopped. "Maquis vessels disabled ma'am," Dontai reported, "it was just the two vessels."
Again S'reena nodded. "Well it seems like we have a brief period now to beam down medical and science teams to the colony. Briefing room everyone, now!" She left the nearest ensign she could find in command of the bridge, as she hustled every instructor and cadet into the briefingroom.
"Right, what we have is a freed Borg colony, who have established their own community here on Theta Aries. For some reason, the Maquis are attacking them and they've issued a distress call. Medical, science, I want you to find out their state of health, as well as any mineral you can find on this planet that may be of value to the Maquis. Mr Blayne, I want you and Ms Zoë to accompany them."
She paused for a moment. "Tactical, OPS, Helm you're remaining on the ship, and I want you to keep a constant look-out for other Maquis vessels. While our teams are on the planet's surface, we're to keep them from beaming anyone down. We don't want any casualties, but we will defend the colony at all cost. Fire only when fired upon."
She drew a deep breath. "Also, as you may have noticed, Captain Marcell is absent from this meeting. After evaluation by Mr Blayne and/or Ms Zoë he will be released and allowed back on duty. Dismissed." She got up from her chair, and was the first to leave the briefing room, but she waited at the door and tapped Hawking on the shoulder. "I'm going to visit the captain, you've got the bridge Commander. Notify me of any changes in Maquis status at once."
S'reena briskly walked down to the brig area, and leaned against the wall in silence as she observed the captain. He was wrapped in a pile of blankets and appeared to be shivering, or sobbing. She shook her head in pity, as she felt really sorry for him. She had brought him a clean uniform, but hadn't know security had stripped him of his clothing. She growled in dismay as she motioned for the guard to leave them alone.
"Captain?" she called softly, as she stepped into the holding cell and placed the uniform on the nearest chair. Gently, she brushed his hair aside, and was surprised to find him cold to the touch. This angered her even further, had they just shoved him in the shower and then into the cell? Quietly, she began to rub the pile of blankets over his skin, wondering just what was going on that had gotten him into this in the first place.
At last, she ended up just holding him, and she smiled grimly, wondering what Michael would think if he saw this. "Captain, you really need to get dressed," she said softly, "that is the one thing I won't do for you." She got up and held out his uniform to him again, but he ignored her. "For what it's worth," she finally said, "I do regret having been forced to do this. I will come back later, if you need anything, you know where to find me."
With that, she headed back to the bridge, and exchanged a few quiet words with both counselors, before they would be heading off to the transporter room.

YrDis just gave her a look, a half-smile knowing look that clearly said, you tell me.
Zoë sighed, this isn't going to be easy, but she also knew Commander Blayne was with her and wouldn't let her do anything he didn't feel she was capable of and he would step in if he felt it necessary, until then she needed to swim. Zoë nodded
"Right, we will first get the Captain's file that might help to understand what is going on, then we should.."
her sentence was cut off
=/\= All Instructors and Cadets the the Briefing Room, now! =/\=
Zoë sighed again and wondered randomly whether you could finish anything on this ship without being cut off. She looked to YrDis who merely gave a nod, knowing what he meant she reset the buttons for the briefing area.
The meeting was blessedly short and, the end result was that she would be going planet side with Commander Blayne. That was pretty exciting, but Zoë didn't have time to absorb that. After the meeting Commander Hope, Commander Blayne and herself headed to the turbolift.
"Sir, ma'me? I'd like to stop by my quarters if you don't mind. there is something I would like to pick up before going to the Brig, if that's alright?"
The two Commanders raised their eyebrows, Commander Hope turned to Commander Blayne questioningly, and Commander Blayne in his quiet way just nodded and the XO just shrugged. After a brief stop and Zoë had gathered her bag, they made their way to the Brig. Commander Hope went in first and Zoë waited outside with Commander Blayne.
The Commander came out and after a few quiet words between them, the Commander left. Zoë looked to Commander Blayne who gestured towards the door indicating her to go ahead. Zoë nodded and took a deep breath, she knew the Commander was right there in case she needed anything or something happened.
Zoë stepped in and saw the Captain wrapped in the blankets, a uniform sat on a chair. Zoë spoke in a calm and relaxed tone.
"Hello, sir, I'm Zoë and I've come to keep you company for awhile, in case you need anything. So, just ask and I'll do my best."
The Captain said nothing, not even a nod. Zoë just continued into the room. She sat down and pulled her needlework out of her bag. It was an ancient Earth custom, but lately it had become all the rage on Trill. Zoë pulled out her canvas, needles and thread and continued working on the design she had started some time ago. She began to hum a tune while she worked. It was a lullabye her mother had sang to her when she was a young Trill.
"Four strong winds, that blow lonely Seven seas that run high All these things that don't change come what may.."
she continued to hum and work for a bit, all the while keeping an eye on the Captain. This method might be a bit unorthodox she knew but, the Captain needed to want to talk and for that he needed to be relaxed and know someone was there to talk to, and right now Zoë was doing her best to fulfill that, so she could start talking to him.
Watching the Captain she felt so bad for him, he looked like he was in such pain, she hoped she would be able to help. After a few more minutes she said.
"I am going to make some tea, sir. Would you like some?"
No response.
"Well, I'lll make some for you, so if you like you can have it."
Zoë walked over to the replicator and asked for two cups of Chamomille tea, a great import on Trill for it's calming effects. She set one cup down in front of the Captain and then sipped her own while she worked, hummed and observed. She hoped the lure of the hot liquid would entice the Captain. After a few more moments, the Captain picked up the cup and took a cautious sip. Zoë smiled and continued to work.

What did the Maquis have against the Borg? Illito wondered. She hadn’t thought that there were too many Maquis colonies left, and it didn’t seem very likely that they would suddenly decide to go after a new target. She supposed that Commander S'reena’s explanation could be true, the Maquis could just be looking for minerals. But if that was so, why would they attack a Federation ship? Wouldn’t they just go somewhere else where minerals were more available? It didn’t make much sense to her, but she had never paid much attention to the Maquis side of the situation.
Illito wondered what was wrong with Captain Marcell. Commander S’reena made it seem like he had been captured or put under arrest, with her talk about releasing him. Sreena's reluctance to speak of the matter only made Illito more sure that something was wrong. She hadn’t really met the Captain yet, and it looked like she wouldn’t anytime soon. She just hoped he would be fine, and that he could still run a ship. She knew that Commander Blayne was the ship’s counselor, and it was seldom good when the Captain was detained pending a psychological evaluation. Oh well, she supposed that there wasn’t really anything that she could do about it.
Illito looked at Dr. Black. Medical, that meant them. She wondered what she should bring and how much time they had before beaming down. Obviously they were in a hurry, but there was probably equipment that had to be picked up to be brought down to the planet’s surface. Illito also wished she knew what the temperature of the Borg planet was. She supposed that she could manage no matter what it was, but she hoped it wasn’t too cold.

YrDis watched as Cadet Zoe tried to get the captain to respond to her. He actually picked up the cup of tea, but otherwise, she had been unsuccessful. However, the cadet was taking the correct approach. It just wasn't working yet.
The captain seemed to be in a mild state of catatonia. He was obviously conscious but his attention was focussed inwards, beguiled by whatever inner demons he could see.
He continued to watch as Zoe tried to work with the captain, but there was still no response. The counsellor pulled up Marcell's service record. There was a note saying that he had seen a counsellor for a while, but it seemed to indicate that the Counsellor the Captain had seen was satisfied that Marcell could return to duty.
As usual, service records didn't show much about personal history. YrDis picked up a medical tricorder and stepped quietly into the cell. Marcell took no notice, but Zoe looked up questioningly. YrDis shook his head and she correctly went back to what she had been doing with the captain.
YrDis ran the tricorder over the captain, then did it again so that he would have separate results. Turning, he left the cell and called up the results of the captain's last physical.
As he had expected, the captain's serotonin and neuropeptide levels were way off as compared to the most recent physical. YrDis then looked at the physical results more carefully, noting that the level of those chemicals in the captain were just barely within the norms, indicating that whatever was happening right now had been building over time.
Although he didn't like doing so, he decided that the captain required an injection. He would be unable to respond to anything in his present state. YrDis then decided he should probably get a second opinion. Opening the door to the cell, he called Zoe out and showed her what he had found and explained what he wanted to do.
"What is your opinion, Zoe?" he asked

Zoë followed her instructor out and listened to what he told her. She peered at the results she had before her. There was definately mild serotonin toxicity here. The sweaty brows, non-responsiveness, it all seemed to fit.
"I agree, sir, there is definately a long term toxcitiy here. I also agree he needs an injection and time to get it out of his system. say..." she looked at the levels again "25 g gastric charcoal within a saline a solution? That should help to absorb some of that serotonin. Then we'll have to wait for that to get through his system and for his levels to come down before we can talk with him, he will be rousable but non-responsive until then." she stopped and turned to Commander Blayne with a horrified look on her face "Sir, this means the Captain has been over dosing on anti-depressants for some time now, or someone prescribed him the wrong dosage. The strange part is I see he saw a counsellor, but I don't see any prescriptions written for anti-depressants...so where was he getting them?" she wondered outloud, as she shook her head in dismay, she wondered what had hurt the Captain so badly he would mix anti-depressants and alcohol, it must be really painful. Zoë looked back sympathetically at the cell.
"That concerns me as well, Cadet," her instructor said gravely "that is something we shall have to ascertain once the Captain is stabilized." Zoë nodded "please go ahead and prepare the injection and administer it. Then we'll get him onto the bed." Zoë nodded and did as she was asked.
Once, the injection was given, they together lifted the Captain onto the bed, blankets and all, so he would have some place to lay down when the charcoal started to work. Zoë quickly did a check of the room. the Captain had new blankets, cloths, water, restroom, everything he should need until he was ready to be moved, for now he would stay where he was to sleep and recover.
They quietly shut the door behind them. Filled out the appropriate paperwork and treatment schedule, so that those sent to monitor him would know what he was supposed to recieve and when. Then wrote a report on diagnosis and treatment of the Captain.
Zoë yawned as she signed the last document on her PADD.
"Tired, Cadet?" her instructor asked gently. They were back in the Crew Mess. Commander Blayne with his usual coffee and Zoë her tea. They had both been working on their respective paperwork for several hours. Zoë quickly covered her mouth.
"I'm sorry, sir, I guess its just..been a long day" she smiled slowly.
"The days do tend to be long" her instructor said with a gentle smile. Zoë nodded and looked down at her completed paperwork. All that was left to do was file it and then report to Commander Hope, then apprise the CMO of the situation so he could help monitor the treatment. Then she had to prepare to go planetside, she hoped she would be able to rest a little beforehand, but didn't know if she would have the time.
Zoë fought to stifle another yawn as she picked up her PADD and followed Commander Blayne once more to lift.

"I have the second vessel on my scaners, i have the target lock and powering all ford phasers arrays, Firing, Commander. The second vessel is disable the third is on a full retreat. Look like the fight is over Commander, May i say, jop well done to all, the the cadets and me. Cheers to the first vitory over the enemy. Since you probably already have thoe, i wont bother, But for alot of us it is are first battle, combat time and i may say a good win for the good guys." "Gordon and Paris Nice flying by the way, and im dectecting no more Maquis Raider Ma'am. Were in the clear." Again S'reena nodded. "Well it seems like we have a brief period now to beam down medical and science teams to the colony. Briefing room everyone, now!" " Yes, ma'am" * Dontai goes in to the briefingroom Whith the rest of the bridge crew * After the briefing Dontai sat down and monitored his counsel for any more Maquis Raider. Dontai didnt know why Maquis would want Borg technology. As far as Dontai know the war against the spoon heads as they called them; was over. They were wiped out during the dominion war. So was this like some pettie attempt for revenge they got there homes and school and farm back. The federation took back there colony worlds after the wars as pay back for the Cardassian spoon head stupidy in joining the dominion. He lost alot of his freinds in that war, so even thoe alot of people dont like to call them spoon heads, he found it polite to call any none federation Cardassian a spoon head. In personel memory of the Maquis acourse. Too Bad he ended up fighting them over a defenseless planet in some unknown system. What could possibly make them act so stupid. There battle has been won so, the very few surviving member can rebuild their live but no they must keep fighting it just doesnt make any sense it a pointless waste of time, resources and crew. He would kill them before he let them go off and become murders of innocent people, these Exborg weren't a threat. It wasnt like them to attack none spoon head targets. Nor to attack federation target, it was aginst their code of ethics. He wanted to know who these people realy were they werent the Maquis - not the one he once new and hurd of. Not the freedom fighter of the demilitarized zone. He also wanted to know what they wanted whith the borg, this was way over their heads.

Charles Farquhar, from a strong business family, had experienced a rough time in becoming a Starfleet officer, he had faced many problems and he wasn’t going to let this one get in his way. He sighed as the turbo lift sped him to the bridge of the station. He had arrived only to find out the Hanson had left.
He had received a late appointment and had not been missed by the Hanson's crew when it had left. But it was still a brilliant opportunity he didn’t want to miss, so he was willing to do anything to catch up.
He had noticed when looking at details of the Hanson’s departure that they had left a shuttle to be repaired on the station due to their quick departure to the colony.
So Farquhar had been harassing anyone and everyone to let him take it to the ship himself and assume his position on the training vessel. It hadn’t gone down well with a lot of people, as they didn’t trust a cadet with a shuttle in a volatile area of space. But he had found a friend in the stations ops officer on one of his trips to beg and he had put in a good word for Farquhar.
The doors swished open to the bridge and Farquhar entered feeling out of his depth, but sure none the less that he had to get to his ship.
"So this is the upstart cadet is it" A voice said.
"Yes sir. He’s offered to deliver your shuttle." The ops officer replied as Charles turned to face his accuser.
Farquhar was facing a commander who appeared to be an engineer.
"This station doesn’t just run as a taxi rank for you cadet. I spent a lot of my time fixing that shuttle and you expect me to just give it to you."
"Please sir, I just need passage to my ship, and this is the easiest way."
"Well it isn’t the most feasible way you know cadet, but your perseverance has got you places this time. I have put her on launch pad alpha four." he said staring at him. "Look after it" he added sternly.
Charles mumbled a thank you and headed off the bridge to see the ops officer smile at him. Charles didn’t know if he had experienced a similar problem in his career of if he had just taken pity on him, but it had worked and Farquhar was on his was to his first ship.
Out
Off: On my way guys!

<prior to arrival at Theta Aries>
Having completed stretching the young Cadet sat back down in her chair to a loud farting sound, a slightly offending odor, and a big round of laughs at her expense.
With a quick smile cadet Paris turned and said aloud. "Did I do that?"
<Under attack>
Having received the order to keep on the evading Maquis ship I replied.
"Yes Ma'am, Y'all might want to hold on to something."
With a smile Cadet Paris threw the ship into an integrity field straining turn and put our forward weapons in a prime firing solution for the tactical cadet.
"Very nicely done Ms. Paris" I complimented her as she kept the Hanson glued onto the enemy ship.
<immediately following the action>
Cadet Paris and I joined the rest of the command crew with the exception of Captain Marcell and listened attentively to Commander Hope's briefing.
