Fenel felt she had enough information about the so called nebula to begin her report, although knew it would be wise to include some more nebula research to back up her own findings. Desiring some social contact she headed to the ships library rather then her quarters.
Most of the computer consuls where being used, but Fenel managed to nab one as its previous user just left. Now for the fun part, researching nebulas. Nebulas where classified in terms of the types of gases they contained, or the characteristics they had. For example Class 9 nebula’s could deceive sensors, and Class T nebulas contained hydrogen, helium, and argon. This nebula, or rather anomaly seemed to have several charactersitics not recorded in any other nebula class. For starters it erased all sensor data taken, most likely using some sort of a dissintigrator frequency that took effect shortly after the ship left. Second it caused the “phasing out” nebula’s had been known to do strange things, but not alter subspace. Third it grew, and that was what keyed Fenel to look up the Delfic expanse. The expanse had been destoryed hundreds of years ago, but had caused a scientific uproar when discovered and investigated. The expanse was not a natural occurance, it had been created as a weapon of mass destruction, disguised to most as a close collection of anomalies. If a species could alter subspace a hundred years ago, could not a species do the same today? And wouln’t it be just like the Romulans to give it a try?
The Captain hinted that there had been Romulan activity in the area, and it was just outside the neutral zone, and area the Romulans wanted for strategic advanege and Colonies. If they could lure StarFleet vessels into the anamaly, then wait untill the crew had all “phased out” they’d have a Federation vessel without getting a scratch themselves. All they’d have to do is get it out of the nebula and haul it through the neutral zone into Romulan territory. They would of course shield their own ships from the Nebula’s effects. Granted crossing into Federation space was risky, but the Romulans where known to take such risks, and with the nebula spreading they could pick off StarFleet ships all along that sector before anyone clued into what was happening. Eventually the nebula might spread throughout the quadrant, leaving Romulan vessels free to travel about, while other ships where left abandoned, and once they where stationed throughout the quadrant, they could destroy the anamaly and settle in.
Of course this was all just a theory, and could not be proven or disproven untill the Hanson reached the Ink Patch and Fenel could take some scans herself. Meanwhile this was what she would go on, and this is what she would include in her report.
Fenel was about to leave the consel and head to the Bridge when she realized that this theory may not be a good one to present to the Senior crew. Sure she had some evidence to back it up, but would it be enough especialy considering that the First Officer was half Romulan herself? She would pass it by Joan and the rest of the Science team first, and then take it to Captain Marcell.

(OOC: This might sound a little confusing, but I'll try my best to reconcile all of it. E'Liana will be the one in Sickbay treating Damion and Ghost. I'll go to Sickbay to treat Commander Blayne)
"Nothing more right now, although after I complete som more interviews I may come back. Oh, and would I be able to access the research you've done on the nebula's effects?" Fenel asked Jason.
"Certainly. Come into my Office." He walked into it with her following. He punched up the data. "This is the report I've compiled on the effects of the nebula." He downloaded the information onto the PADD. "Here ya go."
"Thank you, Doctor," she said, and left.
=/\= Security to Doctor, please come to deck 15 =/\=
Jason tapped his commbadge. "I'm on my way."
Jason grabbed a Med kit. He headed down to Deck 15 as quickly as he could. He had heard the Security had been chasing YrDis, but for what reason he had not heard.
When he arrived, there was YrDis, lying slumped over in the cell, looking barely conscious. There was a phaser burn near his right shoulder, indicating where he was shot. Jason turned to the guard. "Lower the force field and let me in."
The guard had a questioning look on his face. "Are you sure you want to do that sir?"
"Lieutenant, I can't treat someone thats multiple feet away behind a force-field. He's unconscious, and I'll take the risk anyway." With that, the force field was lowered, and he stepped through."
He pulled out a tricorder and began scanning him. "Looks like he was shot with a phaser set on Level 3. He'll be out for just a minute or two more. Other than a mild phaser burn, he's suffered to other injury." He then noticed something odd. "This is odd. The nanoprobes that were in his bloodstream after the last mission have been deactivated....by the cybernetic virus I found on that planet...Beam us to Sickbay, now."
The guard hesitated, then did so. When they arrived, Jason lifted YrDis onto the surgical bed on his own. He then went over to the console, and scanned him again. Rachel came over. "What is it?"
"I've found traces of that cybernetic virus in YrDis, and it deactivated the nanoprobes that were maintaining his immune system. Therefore, its weakening."
He tapped his comm-badge. "Sickbay to Bridge, Captain Marcell, or Commander Hope, whichever of you is there. Just wanted to let you know. It appears Commander Blayne did some sleep-walking. I've found traces of the cybernetic virus from the Shuttle in his body."

Joan was having some problems, and wondered what she should do about them. For some reason her vision took on a whole new meaning as she could see through objects. She was startled at first, and then after about ten minutes she gained control of it. She noticed something else out of whack. She felt like her sense of smell was off kilter too, but she wasn't sure how. That was only the beginning of these problems, and she decided she had better head to sickbay to have them all checked out. She then finds now is not a good time, as they have their hands full, and decides to come back later when it isn't so crowded. She ignores her problems and heads to the bridge to see how her cadet is coming along.
She finds Fenel sitting at a console deep in concentration. She feels bad that she has to interrupt, and she notices Ford is working with the other cadet.
"Cadet Yevar, report on your findings." Joan says, and gasps as she can see straight through her. Joan closes her eyes and opens them again to find she is really dizzy. She falls to the deck with no idea of what could possibly be causing all these problems.

Kedzie had thought over Damion’s suggestion more, and decided that it might be the best option. Besides, if the site to site transporters failed, Kedzie doubted that the rest of the ship would be doing that well either. She thought over the rest of her objections, but they were pretty much all based on that one point, which she no longer felt was a very strong one.
“I reconsidered the idea of site to site transport, and I’m willing to volunteer for it. I believe that is the only solution that has been put forth, but if I missed one I’d like to know what it was.” Kedzie smiled hesitantly, it didn’t seem like she had been out of line the last time, so she hoped that she was still allowed to say what she thought of the idea.
“One problem that we might want answered before we go to the Aerowing might be determining how far the virus has spread. Like whether or not it has spread to the Aerowing. Or to the main part of the Hanson. Although I think that we would have heard about other problems if it had spread to the Hanson, especially if the virus causes the computer to act the way it acted about the airlock. At the very least, they might have heard reports of smashed equipment,” Kedzie said, smiling to show that she was, at the least, trying to make a joke.
“Since the virus seemed to be spread by a direct connection between the airlock and the maintenance panel, should we do anything to isolate the two systems from the rest of the ship?” she asked, since she thought she had heard somewhere that that was the correct thing to do in order to stop a virus. Then again, the systems might already be fairly isolated, or it might be too late to stop the virus from spreading to the rest of the ship.

E'Liana made her way quickly to Sickbay, still 'slightly' annoyed that the Captain had blown off her attempt to get him to come to Sickbay ~ The p'tagh! I'm only following orders! ... Calm down E'Liana! You're not on Qo'Nos now... ~
She walked into Sickbay, determined not to get angry at anyone...her father would have disapproved of her mother's temper. ~People say my tempers from my Klingon half, but they forget that my mother's a red-head....~
"Okay, so 'please state the nature of the medical emergency...'
"Mr Ghost? What seems to be the problem?"
"I have a gash on my arm, which is quite deep and it hurts." He looked at her skeptically whilst she scanned him with a tricorder.
“Any other injuries? How about concussion? Headache? Anything of that nature?”
“No, I feel fine apart from the pain in the arm, obviously…”
“Ok, let’s see what we can do here…” She picked up a dermal regenerator and scanned it over his arm, taking her time as it was a rather deep cut. _______
A few minutes later, she saw Cadet Damion come through the doors hesitantly. She realised that the ridges on her forehead were why ~yet again~ and she sighed inwardly.
"Mr Damion, please take a seat." She resisted the impulse to try to smile at him, deciding instead to be formal. "I'll just finish Mr Ghost."
"I'd rather wait for Dr Black, if that's alright, Cadet" He replied, obviously attempting formality.
Walking over to her new patient, having told the other to be careful with his arm for a few days, she replied. "Well I'll be the judge of that, Cadet, as it depends on the extent of your injuries. If I am capable of assisting you, I am afraid I shall have to. You can take it up with Dr Black later."
E’Liana scanned him, and noticed that he had a minor concussion and had a cut in his head. Nothing major, but enough to cause bleeding. “Do you have a headache?”
The Cadet had stiffened and was noticeably distressed, although E’Liana knew that this was due to her presence more than anything. Deciding to try and be compassionate as opposed to confrontational for a change, E’Liana explained her predicament. “I know you would prefer Dr Black to treat you, for whatever reason, but you do have a concussion which can have some bad consequences if not treated soon, and you also have a cut to the head. If I do not treat that, infection could set in and could endanger you. Right now, my priority is to your health. I’d rather you be able to argue with me later than seeing you in a worse state…”

Sarlina wasn’t sure how to handle her assignment. She supposed it was not only the other cadets that Commander Blayne was testing. “Commander O’Connor, the Captain says that you need to have the Aerowing repaired in three hours.”
Sarlina carefully watched the expressions of Commander O’Connor and the cadets. She began to note them on her PADD, but realized that people would probably realize that this was just a test to see how they did under pressure. And it would make them feel uneasy. She decided to remember it instead. She thought that she might be able to observe them better if she worked with them, so she decided to help, or at least try to. Maybe her operations skills weren’t the best, but Sarlina thought that at the least, another pair of hands might come in handy.
“Commander O’Connor, I realize that time is scarce, so if there’s anything I can do to help, I would be all too eager to help, if I can” Sarlina volunteered.

"Lieutenant!" Fenel gasped as Joan fell to the floor. She knelt down beside her instructer and took her pulse, she was unconsouse. =A=Fenel to Sickbay, I need an Emergancy transport of Joan McCormick directly from the Library to Sickbay=A= Joan dissapeared as she was transported.
Worried about her Instructer Fenel almost forgot about her report and headed out the door before she realised that it was probably not the best thing to leave laying around. After getting her PADD she headed to sickbay to check on Joan.
Sickbay was incredibally busy. Damian and Ghost where being tended to by E'liana, being overseen by the other Medical Instucter from the Hepta. Dr. Black was tending to Counsellor YrDis on the main surgical bed and Joan was being tended to by a Nurse on one of the other biobeds. They hadn't even arrived at their destination and already sickbay was getting crowded.
"Is she alright?" Fenel asked the nurse as she headed over to Joan.
"Hard to say, I'm just stabilizing her untill Dr. Black or another Doctor can take a look. Was she acting odd in any way before she collapsed?" The nurse asked.
"Dizzy, she seemed dizzy and upset about something." Fenel replied

Jordan tried not to laugh as she watched the cadet arguing with another. She stepped forward and put a hand on E'Liana's shoulder, who quickly spun around in surprise.
Jordan: May I?
E'Liana was thinking on how to respond when there was a loud BANG! from one end of sickbay and they both looked to see a console short out and a nurse scream in pain as she backed away, holding her hand.
Jordan: Nevermind. I'll take care of this.
She jogged over and walked the nurse over to the biobed and got her to sit on it. Draco was hovering around the console looking at it. He remembered when a console shorted on the Hepta and Jordan was greatly injured. The image suddenly came into Jordan's mind and she shook it out. She looked at the nurse's hand and saw there was a small electrical burn. The look and smell made Jordan's stomach turn but she bit back the urge to spill her guts and continued. She grabbed a dermal generator and started healing it. The nurse was still screaming in pain when suddenly she passed out and nearly fell off the biobed. Jordan caught her and laid her down. Well,[/color] she thought. This certainly makes thin's easier. She went slowly as she healed the burn and then gave the woman a dose of painkiller. She took a deep breath and looked up at the two cadets. She walked over to the console to look at it and thought something was off. There was just one little charred spot on it from the electricity when there should have been a larger char mark with the degree of burn the nurse had. She tapped her combadge.
Jordan: =Doctor Mackler to Engineering=
Engineering: Yes?
Jordan: A console shorted out on us here in sickbay. No one was severly injured but when ya have a moment, could ya send someone up here to fix it and possibly answer a question I have?
Engineering: Will do.
Jordan: Mackler out.
Draco got an idea and disappeared. He reappeared a moment later with a camera in his claws though it looked like it was a bit heavy for him. Jordan took it and smiled at Draco for his idea. She took a picture of the charred markings on the console then set it off to the side on a sidetable. She then walked over to the officer who had collapsed suddenly. She ran some scans but didn't see anything wrong with her. Jordan turned around and saw a cadet standing very close by.
Jordan: She's fine cadet. There's nothin' to be worried about. She just hasn't eaten much and she passed out. Why don't ya go back to the bridge and see what ya can do. I'll send her back to the bridge when I clear her.
Jordan hated lying to people but it was necessary given the circumstances. Something was definitely off base here though she had no idea what.

Damion Sat still while The Medical Cadet Treated his head with a dermal regenerate. She was telling him to sit still so she could treat him for concussion but he was eager to leave.
Just then there was an emergency and more people came into sick bay. It was McCormick. Everyone rushed over , except Dr .Black was was with YrDisBlayne so Damion took this opportunity to slip out un-noticed.
He left the Medical bay assuring himself that he would just be in the way and headed for his quarters.
He Headed Straight for The replicator When he got there and decided that he was going to have a warm drink and rest for a while , seeing as he couldn't yet return to his duty's.
"Chinese Herbal Tea" The replicator provided something resembling what he had asked for and he took it and sat down. After a while. He decided he couldn't stay there While there was work to be done so he left his quarters and boarded a turbo lift . "Bridge"
His Head was still Hurting alot but He wouldnt say anything so that he wouldnt have to go to sickbay.

When S'reena arrived in the brig area, she found the place deserted. "They could've informed me," she muttered, as she tapped her combadge. "Computer, locate Commander Blayne."
=^= Commander Blayne is in sickbay =^=
"Great," S'reena exclaimed as she rolled her eyes, "off to sickbay we go then." She trotted out of the brig area and caught the nearest turbolift to sickbay. Once there, she encountered a whole bunch of people, but one look around showed her Dr Black bent over a lone patient on a surgery table.
"How is he?" she asked Black, as soon as she found her way over.
"Not good," Black responded simply.
It was clear to the first officer that she was in the way. "Thank you doctor," she said, "inform me when he's doing better." Just as she turned, she saw the two security cadets leaving sickbay. She would give them an hour or two to let the incident sink in but then she would call them to the readyroom to have them report on the indicent. Clearly, the commander had been shot, despite her specific orders not to raise arms at him.
-- two hours later --
"S'reena to cadets Jhukat and Ghost, report to the captain's readyroom, now!" Sreena called, as she moved over to the readyroom. Several minutes later, both cadets stood at attention before her.
"Didn't I specifically order you not to fire at the counselor?" S'reena said angrily, "then how do you explain the lever 3 phaser burn on the commander's shoulder?"
<Damion/Ghost>
"I see," she said icily, "and what of the assignment I gave you? Cadet Jhukat, report on your investigation regarding the shooting incident with the bajoran disruptor. Cadet Ghost, you have not reported any findings yet. I want you to return to your assignment, and report anything you find. In four hours, I want a full report on my desk from the both of you, delivered by you personally so that I can question you about your findings. Dismissed!"
<Damion/Ghost>
After both cadets left, S'reena sat back and sighed. So far their mission was not going good. Apparently they had a computer virus, and now Commander Blayne had fallen ill, as well as Lieutenant McCormick. "'S'reena to Commander O'Connor and operations cadets, report!"

When the call came for Damion and ghost to report to the ready room , Damion was on the bridge. He walked across to the ready room with the entire bridge crew staring at him.He knew that was not a good sign.
When he was being questioned Damion heard all of the questions He had expected , and then had to try and justify his actions.
"The commander was coming to wards me in what i read as a threatening manner , i warned him 3 times and then opened fire once. When in the turbo-lift i realized that the commander wasn't behaving like an enemy.. more like he was frightened. so i followed and tried to stop him without firing. i spoke to him and gained his faith without further incident"
She stared at him expecting more , she had every right to.
"On retrospect i realize that what i did was wrong Ma'am , and that i should have tried to talk first but i took my armed status for granted and fired on a superior officer , i did this with no advice or instruction and am ready to face charges."
<reply given>
"The investigation is ongoing, but i feel that Commander YrDisBlayne had nothing to do with it"
"why" replied the commander.
"He didn't know where he was , and the computer shows that that was the first time he went to that room since we left the Star Base"
"However the sensors show that no one had been there , so i am going to check with a member of ops to see if i can have some help to see if there is tampering"
The commander was in a foul mood when we were dismissed , and Damion didn't feel like talking either so he went straight to the turbo lift
"Deck 8"
While in the turbo lift He was feeling very guilty about the situation.
"Halt lift"
He paused to consider if this was the right choice for him , if star fleet was something he could do. If it wasn't for the symbiont he couldn't even stand right Now. His head was Hurting alot and he wondered if he should go back to sickbay , but decided they were to busy and didn't want to be a pest.. and he knew he would have to see commander Blayne lying wounded because of him.
"Resume , Deck 8"

"'S'reena to Commander O'Connor and operations cadets, report!" The call from the commander surprised Matt, they all had been working hard to find the computer virus. Kedzie had located the virus an hour ago but then the Commander realized the virus was more extensive then first realized. The virus had infected enviornmental, sensors, shields, weapons, and engine control. At the moment the Areowing was useless, but Matt was sure they would fix it. Matt then realized that no one had responded to the Commander Hope and he desided to do it.
"Commander we have located the virus, but it is worst than we at first thought, it has infected the entire ship." The commander at first didn't respond, this mission was just getting worse and worse.
"Okay, Cadet Reynolds, keep me updated," Commander Hope ordered. Matt turned to the Commander who once again was yelling at the ship, Matt felt that he would be doing the same in a little while.
"Sir, we need to go in there, its the only way to fix the problem," Matt said.

“Commander O’Connor, the Captain says that you need to have the Aerowing repaired in three hours.” Kedzie looked at the counseling cadet a little skeptically. Three hours? They still had to figure out if they could get into the Aerowing. And even if they did manage to repair the ship, but it was still inaccessible, Kedzie doubted that the Captain would be particularly pleased with the results.
“Sir, we need to go in there, its the only way to fix the problem,” Matt said.
Kedzie nodded at Matt in agreement. “Is there any way to shut down the system that links to the airlock, then do a manual override in order to open it?” she asked. “Because I think that it comes down to either that or site to site transport. I personally think that we should try the manual override on the airlock door first, since it would be better to have the door open than to have to transport everyone in and out again. And if shutting down the system works on the airlock, couldn’t it also work on the on the Aerowing?” she asked. They looked at her in confusion, and Kedzie wasn’t quite sure that she was getting her point across.
“We could shut down all the Aerowing systems, then try to figure out what’s wrong and eliminate it,” she explained. “If we shut down the Aerowing then we can be sure that the virus won’t continue to spread.” Kedzie glanced at Matt and Commander O’Connor, hoping that they would consider her proposal, and also hoping that it was a valid proposal, that it at least had a chance of working.

Fenel returned to the Bridge, her brow furrowed in deep thought. Joan didn't seem like the type to neglect personnal health, and it wasn't as if she'd been too busy to eat, but why would Doctor Mackler lie to her?
The Bridge was buzzing with activity, apparently Joan's collapse wasn't the only strange thing happening on board. Counsellor YrDis was in sickbay from a phaser burn, apparently given to him by a cadet who was pursuing him under orders. There was an electric shortage in sickbay, and then this issue with a Bug on the Aerowing. So many problems at once didn't seem normal, and Fenel wonderd if their could be a reason besides the influx of cadets.
"Commander Ford, Reman, have you guys noticed anything stange on internal sensors over the last 24 hours?" Fenel asked, she'd talk to the Science team about her concern before making any conclusions. She also needed to pass her report by them before submitting it to the Captain.

Joan opens her eyes to find herself locked up behind a set of bars. She has no idea what is going on, but she sees several men, and she wonder's what is happening. A woman enters, and opens the door. Joan is caught by her when Joan tries to escape. She feels afraid, and wonders what they want with her.
On the biobed she starts to fight with the doctor. She isn't awake yet, but it seems what is happening in her nightmare is making her shake and move while in sickbay.
The woman talks calmly to Joan, but she straps the child down on a bed, and quickly puts Joan back to sleep.
Joan calms down on the biobed again, and the doctor seems puzzled. Joans eyes seem to move back and forth as if she was REM sleeping.
When Joan wakes again, she feels different, and she isn't sure that is a good thing. She manages to break out of her little prison, and goes to see how to escape. She finds no one, and wonders what is going on. She leaves not realizing exactly what she has done. A man watches her go as a smile spreads slowly across his face. Now she will be unleased on the galaxy. My plans are working perfectly! He thinks cackling evilly.

Jason took his eyes off YrDis, and looked over at Jordan bent over Joan's unconscious body. "How is she?"
Jordan looked up at the bio-readings. "I'm not entirely sure. The dizzyness would appear to be an inner-ear imbalance..." She injects Joan with a hypospray. "...which I just corrected. Her brain activity is what puzzles me. Both her frontal and occipital lobes are in a very high level activty, and she appears to be in REM sleep, which is unusual for someone who collapsed. But the visual stimulation from a dream isnt enough to account for the activity in the occipital lobe. She's also using more of that lobe that most would. It's like she's seeing more than your average human. This dream must be interesting, whatever it is." She looked over. "How's Commander Blayne?"
It was Jason's turn to look at bio-readings from a console while talking. "Not well. Since the now-dormant nanoprobes were maintaining his systems, his immune system is deteriorating. His body has grown accustomed to the biological maintenance they had been performing. And his body hasn't adjusted back yet. Fortunately, given the short length of time he was dependant on them, it shouldn't be too difficult for his body to readjust, but it wont be easy either."
Jason went over to the replicator, and started programming in an injection. "What are you replicating?" Jordan asked, looking over."
"A hormone therapy. Hopefully it will help stimulate his immune system back to full capacity, and help it take over again. Otherwise, I'm not how I'm going to maintain his health," he said, sadly. He pressed a key, and the hypospray appeared. He walked over, and injected YrDis. He looked over at Jordan. "Now we see what happens."

Damion arrived on Deck 8 and headed to astrometrics. He walked in and looked left to right , he had never seen a lab like this before. "can i help you" said the ensign operating the main console. "yes my name is Damion and I'm the new security cadet and i was wondering if you could help me mister??"
"Rossum" replied the officer "and id be pleased to help."
"thank you Mr.Rossum , could you please check for me whether there has been any tampering with the security sensors recently" "Well" replied Ensign Rossum "that would be difficult as the computer virus has made the sensors hard to operate anyway , there is no way of getting a reliable answer"
"thank you , i will try another way , but please Let me know if anything suspicious happens , do you have any Video footage of the incident involving YrdisBlayne on deck 5?" The ensign hit a few buttons and arrived at the right point in recording to see the commander fall , he went back by a Minuit to see if there was anything else useful , there was. Just before Blayne turned the corner where Damion was he ran into a console and entered a command. Unfortunately the recording couldn't see what the command was but maybe commander S'Reena could help with that.
" thank you for your help Rossum" the cadet said as he left the lab and headed for the turbo lift.

Bates was walking down a corridor on Deck 6. He had just spent half an hour trying to get a shorted-out console back online, but to no avail.
=/\= Rio to Bates. You done with that console? =/\=
He tapped his comm-badge. "Well, I'm finished working on it, but I couldn't get it to work. It's like the Computer chose to freeze the terminal. Ya think it might be the virus from the Aerowing?"
=/\= It just might be. Sickbay just reported that they had a console short-out as well. Would you mind going to yet another dead console and checking it out? We need to figure out what the heck is going on here. They said they also asked if we could possibly answer a question. Find out what it is and do so. Call me if you have any trouble =/\=
"On my way, Commander. Bates out." With that, he headed to the turbolift. He went to Deck 5, and walked into Sickbay. "Alright, so wheres my explodee?" he asked when he entered. Those present looked at him with a questioning look. "Just a little humor there. You reporting a defective console?"
A Commander he didn't recognize responded. "Yes its over here in the Medical Lab," she said, walking across the room, walking over to the far end of Sickbay. She pointed at a darkened console on the side. "That one."
Bates crouched down under the console, and pulled off a panel. He pulled out a tricorder, and scanned it. Like the others, the isolinear chips were fine. He took out a tool, and unsealed a further panel inside. He pulled it off, to reveal a blackened cable. "Yes, just as I suspected." He stood up. "This consoles been severed, like a half-dozen others I've looked today. We have yet to figure out why, but the virus lodged in the Main Computer is systematically taking out consoles all over the ship. When we try to fix them, it just does it again. Theres nothing I can do. Now, I was told there was a question that needed answering?"

Jared couldn't believe the mess this ship was in now. The counselor had gone mad and been shot, the captain was flying in the face of basic Starfleet protocol and not going for his physical, the computer was slowly collapsing like a badly built manure pile, the Aerowing was a liability and if this phase thing was going to occur then many of the senior staff and some of the cadets were going to take an impromptu space walk. The fact the Captain had said nothing about all of this to anyone and was not going for his physical suggested that he was unfit to command. Jared just hoped the medical staff would either drag him to sickbay or the brig before too much longer. In truth, Jared trusted S'Reena more than Captain Marcell who so far had been a distant face from most of the cadets and judging from the look on BeTor's face, had not left a good impression on those he had met. So far, Jared had spent 25 years in space; his whole life. Once they were within about thee feet of that doom cloud he was going to go starwards.
Although one thing did occur to him. They dropped downwards; that's not normal space physics for something that is totally out of phase. The only thing that could have made them go downwards was the influence of the gravity net. If it wasn't affecting the phasing people then they would have just appeared to have gone backwards since the ship was in fact moving forwards. Also, liquid seemed to slow the descent, which indicates some physical being since liquids make for better radiation shields than solids because of their mobile but still somewhat compacted atoms. So in the event of phasing, a graviton generator would serve to hold the starbound ones in place.
Just then Yevar paged them. "Commander Ford, Reman, have you guys noticed anything stange on internal sensors over the last 24 hours?"
'It's hard to say. We have had strange readings but it's difficult to tell what is due to Lt McCormick's initial testing procedure and what's due to other problems. If we want decent scans then we're going to have to send anyone available around scanning with tricorders and feed all the information into an independent computer to avoid any possibility of this woefully unsupported computer messing it up.'
Jared didn't like the Federation computer. It seemed to have no backup or self containing protocols. On the original Ambition if the computer went down then they turned it off, plugged Sprite into a secondary system and told him what needed to be done. The main downside to that cheap and cheerful method was that only one person could be talking to Sprite at a time. Jared remembered with amusement for a moment the queue of people lining up to talk to Sprite once when the computer was down for several days. They were all waiting while Gordon Everett tried to fly the ship towards a starbase using a joystick plugged into the secondary system and a display about the size of a tricorder display. The amusement became soured when it occurred to Jared that he would never see either 'uncle' Gordon or any of the rest of the crew again. All he wanted to do was to forget, but he couldn't right now, he had work to do.
'Commander Ford, I suspect that when the crew go out of phase they retain some cohesion to the normal world and become something like radition but with particles as opposed to waves. Since they seem still to be affected by their own gravity and that of the ship, some sort of graviton field around the crew might prevent suh a marked loss of physical form.'

Joan sits straight up in sickbay and leaves before anyone notices her. She checks her files, and finds everything is in place. She finds her first victim, and sees goes over to a console. This won't be easy, and she goes over to a console to find her. She sees the woman is on deck six, and quickly goes to find her smiling evilly.
On deck six, she finds the lady in charge of the day care all alone picking up the day care. She quickly enters and smiles sweetly to fool the woman. The lady turns around, and is startled by Joan.
"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you. Here let me help you with that." Joan says picking up a block.
"Thank you, I apprecate the help. I didn't realize you had entered." She says. Joan looks at the woman. She is a short young girl maybe in her mid twenties. The girl goes to get a few more blocks, and Joan throws the one she has. It connects with the girls skull in just the right place, and she hits the floor. Joan picks her up, and carries her off. It wouldn't be good to leave a dead woman in a place where children can find her.
Joan heads for the bridge, not remembering exactly what she had just done, and finds Fenel looking over a console again.
"Report, cadet." Joan says looking as if nothing had gone wrong.

"A graviton field? I suppose It would be a good idea... Work on that. I'm going to flush out this damn virus. It isn't welcome here. I'll clean up Joan's little tests, too," said William
"Yes, Commander."
"Oh, and good work, Cadet. That took creativity. I'm glad you were able to come up with a possible solution."
"Thank you, sir," replied Reman happily.
William went to the science lab, passing Joan on the way there. She seemed a little confused at first, but then the moment passed. At the science lab, William eliminated all of the sensor problems not caused by the virus. Then he contacted Ops.
"Ops, the is Commander Ford. I have eliminated all of Lt. McCormick's changes to the sensors. If you wish, I could use a little help down here in Science Lab One. The virus is proving elusive."

"Your up again!" Fenel commented happily. "I was getting a little worried, btu the instructer said you would be fine. I'm just checking over the internal scanner reports, they are being finicky and I think their wanting some attention. I'm going to pass that on to opps, and then take some manual reports using a tricorder. Too many strange things are happening on board and we can't trust these scanners to keep things strait in it's condition."
"Sounds Good cadet, feel free to ask any questions or for any help. In fact it's a big ship for you to manually scan by yourself, would like my help?" Joan replied, she still seemed a little distant, but Fenel figured that was probably from the medication."I might be able to rustel up some junior officers to give us a hand as well."
"That would be great!" Fenel replied. 'I'm all done here. I'll start on deck 7 and move downwards if you take the upper decks and move toward deck seven. Any junior officers can do the lower decks and Jeffrey tubes."
"I'll meet you back here in three hours to discuss our findings." Joan added before Fenel headed to the Turbolift.
Manual scanning was a slow and thankless job, but it gave Fenel time to get to know the ship and say Hi to a few crewman on there way to duty. So far she'd found a few irregularities, but nothing to get overly concerned about. She finished deck 7 in less then half an hour, and moved on to Deck six, nearly tripping over some of the ships resident childern as she stepped out of the turbolift. "Careful guys, why don't you play your game in one of your qaurters?" she asked, noticing they where playing a type of "hide and go seek"
"Our quarters are too small, the whole deck gives us lots of hiding places!" One of the older boys replied.
"But are you allowed all over the deck?" Fenel asked, knowing that they probably were not.
"Yes... okay No, but we're being careful!" Another boy insisted.
"Are you allowed to use the holodeck?" Fenel asked, wondering why any kid would want to play out here when the holodeck offerd countless different play places.
"Well yeah, but they where all busy when we checked." A young andorian girl replied.
"And when was that?" Fenel asked, eager to get underway again, but not wanting to let the kids tear up the ship in the name of fun.
"an hour ago, I think." The oldest boy replied.
"While then It's probably not busy anymore, why don't you go check." Fenel declared as she headed past them into one of the labs.
"Don't go in there!" the kids warned.
"Why not?" Fenel asked, estmating that they had made a mess they didn't want discoverd.
"There's a lady sleeping on the floor." The Andorian answerd, matter of factly.
Concerned Fenel enterd anyway, and saw the women sprawled out on the floor by the primary consel. Rushing over Fenel could see blood on the back of the women's forhead, streaming down and stainging the floor. Choaking back shock and supressing the urge to shudder Fenel checked the women's pulse.. nothing, Fenel used her scanner to check for anylife signs, but there where none. It appeard that she had been dead for about 45 minutes.
=A= Fenel to sickbay, I found a dead science ensign on deck 6, It would appear she recieved a blow to the head about 40 minutes ago. =A= Fenel looked down at the body and realised she had seen this ensign in the library earlier that day.
=A= Sickbay here, I'll send some one immediatly, and Fenel stay where you are untill security arrives. =A=
=A= Understood Doctor. =A= Fenel stepped back from the body, unable to look anymore. She noticed the childern standing in the doorway, staring blankly at the where the body had laid
=A= Are you going to be alright?=A= the doctor asked.
=A= I.. I think so, but Doctor, there are childern down here.=A= Fenel croaked.
=A= I'll contact their parents, keep them with you, they might know something.=A=
Fenel nodded, even though Doctor Black could not see her do it. "It's alright guys, we have to wait here untill security arrives." One of the younder girls was crying. Fenel (who had never been much of the mothering type) gatherd the frightend childern in her arms and waited for Security.

“Ops, the is Commander Ford. I have eliminated all of Lt. McCormick's changes to the sensors. If you wish, I could use a little help down here in Science Lab One. The virus is proving elusive.”
Kedzie glanced at Commander O’Connor, silently hoping that he would ask her opinion. “What do you think?” he asked, and Kedzie smiled thankfully at him.
“Well, sir, I believe that in order to get to the Aerowing and to make it function properly, we will want to eliminate the virus from its systems. I think the best way to do that would be to go to its source and to work with the science officers. If we can learn enough about the virus, then perhaps we will be able to eliminate it. I think it would be a good idea if at least one person would go to Science Lab One. Since we don’t seem to be very successful in overriding it on our own.” Kedzie paused, waiting to see if anyone else wanted to go to the Science Lab.
“Even so, I think some people should stay to continue to find a solution here, but I’m not sure. If you need anyone to volunteer to work with the science personnel, I’m willing to,” she said hesitantly. “That is, if no one else wants to,” she amended hurriedly. She didn’t want to prevent anyone else from working with Ford if that was what they wanted.

OFF: E'liana- please notice the change i made to the last post of mine. I hadn't realized you had just posted.
ON: S'reena looked at Tony as he entered the bridge.
"Commander Blayne is in sickbay. He needed to be taken down by 2 security cadets. Both were mildly injured. There has been no progress made on the Aerowing, but they are about to enter the ship. McCormick has collapsed and is also in sickbay..." Tony was taking all this in but interrupted when this came.
"What? But Joan is over there? He pointed to ops where the instructor has just joined the bridge.
"Ms. McCormick, aren't you supposed to be in sickbay?" S'reena asked. Joan turned to face her.
"No, sir and ma'am. They said I could go." Joan said and went back to her work. S'reena seemed confused but just then the computer beeped in a slightly slurred fashion, "Black to Bridge. Cadet Yevar has just reported a dead ensign in the medical lab. She needs assistance."
"Understood."Tony said trying to hide his horror at the idea of one of his crew dead.
"S'reena I'm going down, have Jhukat and Ghost join me. They can finish their other work later."
S'reena nodded, "Cadet's Jhukat and Ghost to the medical lab. Immeadiatly."
Tony immeadiatly jogged into the turubolift and met the securtiy cadets on the way to the lab. There they found Yevar huddled with several of the Hanson's children facing away from the corpse of the blue uniformed ensign. They rushed in and Tony flipped out his tricorder confirming her dead. He hoped the medical officer would arrive soon. But he himself could confirm her death was from a blow to the head.
"Report Cadet Yevar." he asked. The parents of the children had come to collect their children. The sounds of sobbing grew quieter as they each left.

After reporting the incident to the Bridge, Jason looked around Sickbay. Jordan was busy, Michael was off duty, and a Nurse was lying on the bio-bed, still injured. But Rachel was still available, and in good health. "Rachel, could you go to Sickbay and check out the situation, and check the cause of death? I've got to stay with YrDis."
She put down the hypospray. She was a little surprised he asked her. She wasn't an M.D., she was just a Nurse. But she nodded, said "Yes Doctor" and grabbed a med-kit and headed for the door.
She walked out the door, and into the turbolift. "Deck 6," she ordered. When the doors closed, she slumped against the wall. "Someone falling over dizzy, then someone being shot and their immune system's failing, a bad burn from an exploding console, and now someone's been murdered. Busy day," she said, and sighed again.
The turbolift door opened, and she exited, going down the hall. A few moments later, she entered the medical lab. It was easy to identify which was the victim, given everyone crowding around her.
Rachel knelt down, and starting scanning. "Well, from her body temperature she died between half an hour and an hour ago. She died from a blow to head. From the broad contusion it was a relatively blunt object, though not too blunt, given that it punctured the skin and caused her to bleed." Shee looked at her. "I know this woman. She works in the ship's Day Care. She would have been there at the time, given when her duty shift is. She may have been killed with a toy, thrown hard."
She closed the tricorder, looking at her, and sighed once again. "Its a shame. She was a wonderful woman, excellent with children."
