--Starbase Conqueror-- Felix was in his quarters. He was packing. Yes packing once more. He did not expect to be leaving the base so soon but it appeared Starfleet needed him elsewhere. But he wouldn't even mind the transfer if they informed him sooner, but no, they told him in the last minute. In a few hours the ship was departing and that's all the time he has to pack up, sort his business on Conqueror and report to the USS Hanson. His bag was almost packed. Amilea's things were also already packed. He had to take her with him. And imagine just a recent while ago he took her from Tiffani in order to keep her safe, on a Starbase and now, before he had a chance to turn back he was taking her to a ship again. But it was an academy vessel and extreme situations were unlikely. While all these thoughts were flying through his mind he managed to pack his bags. And then he was ready. He transferred the holo nanny to the portable holo-emitter, finished all of his paperwork and was finally ready to depart. --On the USS Hanson-- When he beamed to the Hanson he was greeted by a lt., who seemed surprised by his arrival as much as Felix himself was surprised when he received a transfer order so abruptly without any warning. However after reviewing his transfer order the lt. escorted him and his daughter to their new quarters. They were smaller then those he had on the Starbase but he was not going to complain about it, he was most likely going to spend most, if not all, of his time out of them anyway. He pulled out the holo-emitter out of his pocket and activated the nanny. After giving her a brief set of instructions he handed his baby girl to her. The nanny was programmed by Ryerson Fitzpatrick the former CEO of the USS Tiger Shark on which Felix and Tiffani served some months ago, but that time seemed so distant to Felix right now. It could have been years ago, but actually it was not. He shook his head in an effort to get those thoughts out of his mind as he began unpacking his bags. When most of his items were unpacked and sorted on the shelves, in the drawers... He went over to the computer that stood on a desk. He activated it and entered his code. =/\=Your command codes have been activated now=/\= The computer informed him. Well at least something is going right today he thought as he turned the computer off. He gave a few more last minute instructions to the holo-nanny before he proceeded out of his quarters towards the turbolift he would use to get to the bridge. His transfer orders did not specify what happened with the previous FO of the Hanson, nor were there any records he could find of what happened to her. He found that odd to say the least but did not occupy his mind with it for too long. But another oddity was that the commanding officer of the vessel was also unknown. And that was a bit too much for his taste. He did not comprehend why Starfleet held this info confidential. But he knew that soon enough all of his questions would be answered. Shortly after the turbolift came to a halt and the doors opened revealing the intrepid class main bridge. He was glad that he already knew his way around this class of ship. Thanks to his father who pretty much took him with him whenever he visited one of the Starfleet vessels. When he stepped on the bridge he found several people looking oddly at him as if asking ‘who are you’ and ‘what are you doing here’. But they did not say anything most of them were junior officers as the senior staff did not arrive yet. He made way to the center of the bridge and a lt.cmdr. rose from the captain's chair. "Sir", the officer said "At ease commander", Felix said "Has the captain arrived yet?" he asked him "No sir, they did not inform us when to expect him or her", the officer responded "Thank you commander", Felix said When the officer went over to man one of the science stations at the back Felix looked over the captain's chair. It has been a while since he last sat in one of them but he certainly wasn't going to sit here now. He sat on the FO’s chair and opened the side panel going over some of the reports. Soon enough the bridge would be crawling with cadets and instructors and then he would not be able to find some quiet time to look over the old ship logs and reports. Off: Ok everyone, you can report to the Hanson in character now.

After the inicdent aboard Starbase Conqueror T'Brel was pleased that he was getting off. He found it strange that in a Federation outpost a person could take out the power and try and harm someone. It wasn't his place to judge so he just picked up his bags from his temporary quarters and walked out of his room.
The walk towards the Hanson was very uneventul, which T'Brel liked. Like he always did, he was taking everything in. This would be the last time he would see this starbase for a while.
T'Brel was apprehensive about joining the Hanson. He had read the mission report about the last batch of cadets to leave the Hanson. It seemed that they had to take over the ship because their instructors were attacked by a computer virus. I hope that doesn't happen to us, T'Brel thought with a unvulcan smile.
Onboard the Hanson
When T'Brel entered the Hanson he felt the crisp clean air hit his face, which took him by surprise. He wouldn't admit it but the Hanson impressed him. He loved all Intreprid class ships especially since his foreuncle Tuvok came back from Voyager.
T'Brel quickly found his quarters and was happy to find it was big. It was really big, to big for T'Brel but he wouldn't complain. So T'Brel took out his extra uniforms and his personal belongings which consisted of his IDIC medallion, his mediation candles and the officail emblem of Trill. After fixing all his things to his liking he headed towards the bridge.
On the bridge
It took just a couple of moments for the turbolift to take T'Brel to the bridge. T'Brel couldn't understand why his stomach was giving him such a hard time, it felt uneasy and nauseous. The officer next to him just smiled at him.
"There called butterflies," the officer said.
"But I didn't eat any butterflies," T'Brel said his Vulcan logic seeping in.
"Its a human saying, it just means that your nervous," he responded.
"Okay, glad to know," T'Brel said as the lift stopped. The officer walked in first and went to his station. T'Brel fixed his uniform and walked in. He was even more impressed with the bridge of the Hanson, he had been aboard Voyager, but this time he was a member of a crew.
T'Brel walked up to the man sitting at the command chair and reported in at attention.
"Cadet 4th Class T'Brel Peers reporting in as ordered, sir," T'Brel said. The Commander just looked up and saluted back.
"Cadet report to your station," Commander Savali said with a smile.
"Aye, sir," T'Brel said as he took the helms of the USS Hanson for the first time and hopefully not the last.
Off: Hello everyone glad that the mission started so early.

Joan is at her station running several sensor sweeps not wanting to trust anyone with her station. She has had no idea who might have been messing. She had looked on her seat before sitting down, remembering the old fashion whoopie cushion could still be in circulation. She chuckles to herself, and continues her work. Leena comes strolling in and positions herself at Joan's feet where she can watch everyone with a careful eye.
You don't always need to do that. I am sure everyone is on our side this time. I shouldn't have shared my mission memories with you. That's what I get for thinking. Joan thinks when she notices what Leena is doing. Leena puts her head down, closes her eyes, and uses her ears instead so not to be too obvious. Joan just shakes her head and chuckles.
There, now maybe no one else will notice I was watching them. You should go back to your work and ignore me. Let me know if there is anything I can do to be useful, if not then I'm going to take a nap. She says wanting to fake Joan out.
Whatever you say, Leena. She thinks in response knowing better than that. She notices the commander is looking in her direction, and then she notices several of the bridge personnel are watching Leena. She ignores all of it, and continues to scan wanting to know who did what to her station.

Commander first class S'reena Hope walked onto the bridge leasurely, feeling refreshed from the few days of leave she and her family had enjoyed on starbase Conqueror after the emergency situation had been resolved. Yet when she approached her usual seat, she stopped dead in her tracks, as a human male was occupying her seat.
Glancing at his rank, she noted that he was not the commanding officer, as she assumed she would've been notified if there had been a new commanding officer assigned. She still regretted Tony Marcell leaving the Hanson for an assignment on Earth. S'reena had wished him well, and had made him promise to stay in contact; after all he was her youngest daughter's godfather.
Glancing at the new officer suspisciously, she found that he looked oddly familiar. ~ah, the holographic image at Tony's surprise party when he was promoted to captain~ S'reena thought, then walked up to the new arrival.
"Excuse me, but I believe you are in my seat," she said quietly, waiting for a response if not only an introduction.
Then the security cadet walks up to her and salutes as she reports in. "Resume your station cadet Nokomis," S'reena replied, acknowledging the cadet's presence, but keeping her eyes on Savali, "I will be with you shortly. Your instructor would normally be Commander Wesson, but I'm afraid that he's on sick-leave."
<Nokomis>
off: I will take on the training of nokomis. I'll create an NPC for that, but will post it under this account, seeing as that we have something of a little surprise in store. The NPC is Lieutenant Jarod Arakkis, a half Romulan half Klingon male who was adopted by a Vulcan family and raised as Vulcan after his parents and siblings were killed by Romulans in a family feud. <yep some oddity I know...but I like being odd:p>

Pushing the throttle as far forward as I could I pulled back and to the right on the control yoke trying in vain to shake off my nemesis The Red Baron. Hearing a bunch of shrill whistling noises and seeing the bullets zip past my open cockpit I jerked the yoke the other direction and rolled out on a straight line and started diving on a heading for the flat empty area ahead. The only way I can get him from out behind me is to outrun him and use my planes better handling characteristics at speed to outmaneuver him.
Having gained enough speed I pulled back hard on the yoke and banked up into the sun and as I rolled out behind my adversary the computer beeped the preprogrammed timer that I had set up to remind me that I had to go on duty.
"Awww man!" I screamed aloud just before I froze the program and stepped out of my plane and walked over to the Red Barons plane. With a pat on the fuselage I smiled. "I had you on that one." Walking out of the Holodeck I saved the program and headed for my quarters to refresh myself and get changed.
<Later> Walking out of the Turbolift onto the Bridge I noticed a new officer sitting in the FO seat with S'Reena looking down on him and my cadet sitting at the helm looking over the controls.
Walking up to him I simply said. "You like sitting there?"

When T'Brel took his seat behind the navigations console Felix said a few more words to him:
"Oh and cadet, try not to overload the impulse engines", he smiled and diverted his view back to the panel on the side of his chair knowing full well that the Vulcan would not overload the engines but thought it might ease the tension he noticed in him.
Just as he was getting back to reading the reports he thought he noticed something next to the officer manning the science station. He looked in that direction again and saw that most of the bridge crew was looking over there. When had a second look he noticed a some sort of a creature, hiding between the feet of the commander manning the station.
"Excuse me", he said as he got up from his seat and went over to the commander
"Might I ask your name?", he asked the science officer
After she introduced herself he learned she was the science instructor, Commander Joan McCormick. After he introduced himself he asked her about the creature.
"Is this creature part of the bridge crew?", he asked pointing at Leena
<Tag Joan>
"I see, and then may I be so formal to ask what it is doing on the bridge, as much as you might like your pet, this is a bridge of a starship and pets are not allowed up here, those are basic Starfleet regulations and you as an instructor should be aware of them. Now please commander, escort your pet to your quarters and keep her there.", and before she could respond he returned to his station
Well this was certainly unexpected he thought as he returned to his chair. Instructors brining their pets to the bridge, seems like the standards were a little down nowadays. When he was last in the academy they were much higher. But no matter he would do what he has to keep the atmosphere friendly for the cadets but also professional. And brining pets to the bridge certainly was not professional nor did he expect it from someone who had the ranks of a commander.
Just when he diverted his eyes down to the console again, he was interrupted for the second time.
"Excuse me, but I believe you are in my seat," she said quietly, waiting for a response if not only an introduction.
Felix looked up at the Romulan. She looked familiar to him but he could not quite place her. Then it came to him it was S'Reena Hope. She used to be the first officer of the ship. But what is she doing here he thought.
"I am Commander 1st Class Felix Savali, the first officer of the Hanson", he said
"First officer of the Hanson?", she asked in disbelief
"Yes, I received the transfer order only a few hours ago, saying that i am to report to this vessel and take over the position of the first officer", he resumed
"Now from your reaction I take it you know nothing of this?", he said with a more rhetorical question than a question awaiting an answer. Starfleet standards were indeed lowering. How could have they missed to inform her that she has been reassigned, he thought.
"Now I suggest that you sit down in the captain’s chair while we wait for the captain whoever he or she will be, and hopefully he or she will be able to clear up this problem we have here"; he said to her
After he was finished saying that a new cadet reported in. Cadet Ariennye Nokomis, she said her name was. Ignoring S'Reena for a moment he got up and went to greet the new cadet. After he introduced himself to her, he directed her to a lt. manning the CTSO station; he bore the insignia of a lieutenant and would certainly be able to instruct the cadet in the inner workings of the CTSO department.
After he did that and the cadet went to join the man, he directed his attention back at the commander and awaited her response to his last statement from a few minutes ago.

After getting settled in quarters Richard made his way up to the bridge, nervously pawing the tricorder secured at his side. When the turbolift doors finally rushed open, he found the bridge busy, as expected, and made his way over the captain's chair, where two Lt. Commander's were at. One a vulcan woman, the other a human man, there was clearly a conversation at hand, with the human commander staring at the vulcan, obviously waiting for an answer. Trying to be as quick and unobtrusive as possible, he spoke to the officer standing up.
"Pardon me sir, I don't mean to intrude, but I'm here to report in for duty. Richard Parson, cadet 4th class, engineering."
Catching the atention of the commander with his words, Cadet Parson eagerly and nervously awaited for his reply.

ooc: welcome aboard. Savali and I are both commanders first class;) and S'reena is Romulan.
ic:
S'reena glared at the new first officer, and wondered if anyone had just forgotten to inform her, or if something else was going on. Deciding not to cause a scene on the bridge, she would instead wait for the new commanding officer to arrive and sort it out with him or her. She sat down in the captain's seat without further acknowledging Commander Savali.
From the security station, Lieutenant Jarod Arakkis watched the scene before him and contemplated whether he should step in or not. Knowing his first officer, he also knew that she was a short fuse and her Romulan temper was well known througout the ship. Nobody would consciously cross her, not without good reason that is.
He looked sideways to see a female cadet walk his way. "Ah, you must be Cadet Nokomis," he said, and stuck out his right hand at her, "I am Jarod Arakkis, your instructor." His Vulcan family had taught him that humans preferred to shake hands, though personally he preferred the Vulcan non-touching policy. Despite his Romulan and Klingon heritage, and not being one of the few gifted telepathic Romulans, he was still trained in Vulcan control of emotions, and blocking telepathic invasions.
Sometimes, his nature would take over, in which case he would fight furiously if the causes were just. He never tried to deny his heritage, but he couldn't always agree with either the Romulan or Klingon way of life. Thus, he carried no traditional weapons for either heritage, as he preferred the Vulcan non-violent way.
"Please take over and see if you can work with helm on some target practice." The security assistant nodded at Gordon for confirmation.

T'Brel was glad that his instructor had arrived only minutes after him. His name was DJ Gordon, he seemed competent enough, but T'Brel knew that he couldn't trust first impressions.
"You like sitting there?"
"Yes I do, sir," T'Brel said as he smiled at his instructor. Gordon was surprised to see the Vulcan smile at him, but he gave him a bigger smile back. T'Brel realized that he hadn't introduced himself to his instructor and quickly fixed that problem.
"Cadet 4th Class T'Brel Peers reporting in for helms training," T'Brel said with a smile.
"I thought Vulcan's don't have last names," Gordon said as he saluted back.
"They do, but I'm not fully Vulcan, I'm also Trill, Peers is the name of my symbiont," T'Brel said.
"Cool," Gordon said. OCC: I don't know if you would say cool, but I put it anyways ;D. T'Brel was pleasantly surprised. S'reena Hope had just come in, she had helped T'Brel adjust to the starbase and had saved his life too. T'Brel was going to go say hello but stopped noticing that her and the other commander were staring each other down. T'Brel then just stopped in his tracks. There at the science station was the strangest thing he had ever scene. He didn't know if it was an animal or a freak of nature.
"I'm not a freak," the creature said to him in his mind. T'Brel couldn't believe it, this thing was a sencient being.
"I'm sorry if I have offended you, its just that I have never seen someone like you," T'Brel said apologizing.
"That's okay, I met someone like you on the last mission, his name was Matt Reynolds, we became good friends though," Leena said.
"Whats your name?" T'Brel asked.
"My name is Leena and nice to meet you T'Brel Peers," Leena said. T'Brel realized then that many people on the bridge were looking at him stangely. Worse of all one of the them was Commander Savili. He then stood up and went to the Commander at the science station. T'Brel could tell that Leena became mad very quickly, the Commander must of said something T'Brel thought as he turned to work at his station again.
When the Lt. asked Gordon for confirmation to do some target practice, T'Brel started to feel excited. He would finally get to manuever this beauty of a ship. T'Brel said nothing, just waiting for the okay from Gordon.

Akleth marched through the corridors of the Hanson drawing frightened looks from normally cocky cadets. One stared at him too long and Akleth stopped beside him with a smirk on his face. Turning to the yellow clad cadet he simply looked at him a moment and then suddenly he gave a sharp growl. Akleth continued, laughing down the corridor as the cadet made a hasty retreat.
When he arrived on the bridge he got the usual stares but no one questioned him. It seemed that at the moment the command crew was quite confused. The two commander 1st classes in the command chairs were quietly arguing about who was asssigned as what.
He saw a leiutenant standing at his station. A half klingon/half romulan leiutenant! What kind of traitorous warrior would mate with Romulan scum! Using all his years of living with humans as training he held back the urge to smash the half-breeds face in, he walked up to the leiutenant.
"I believe you are at my station." He said tightly he face contorted in forced calm.
"And who are you?" Said the half breed with the cadet standing in between them.
"Commander Akleth son of Grekor. I've been assigned as Tactical and Security Instructor." Not looking at Akleth the half-breed looked to the arguing commanders infront of them.
"Commanders S'reena and Savali, do you have any record of this transfer order?" The one known as Savali tapped on his PADD.
"No, it may not have come through yet."
"Shall I just stand here and wait then." Akleth asked with a growl.
Savali gave a non-committed shrug. "Untill the order comes through." Akleth had meant the commment to come across as sarcasm. Knowing the he did not have the authority to challenge the man he stood to the side making incoherent, insulting comments under his breath in klingon.
OFF: I've been asked to take this position, but we'll wait till it's sorted out to see who's the tac/sec instructor.

Noah Bates pushed forward on the wheels on either side of his, propelling his wheelchair forward, his graying hair almost glinting in the Starbase lighting. The older stout man got quite a few curious looks from young Cadets as he wheeled past them, but he gave them a stern look that made them look away as he rolled toward the gangway of the Intrepid-class USS Hanson.
He was slightly hunched over to push the chair, so as he reached the gangway, his rank was hidden. The young Lt guarding its entrance looked down at him. "Can I help you?" he said, almost condescending.
Typical, Bates thought to himself. Talk down to the guy thats different. He sat up, revealing the three pips on his collar, showing his rank of Commander. "Yes you can, Lieutenant. You can let me pass. Commander Noah Bates."
The Lieutenant checked his list. "Ah yes, here you are. Go right ahead, sir."
"Thank you," he said, and wheeled himself past the young man. He rolled his chair onto the Hanson, happy to be there. He would enjoy working on such an advanced ship. He went into a turbolift. "Bridge."
A few minutes later, the door opened, and he pushed himself onto the Bridge, earning himself a few stares. Not often you see an Officer in a wheelchair. He noticed the number of stairs on this Bridge he would have to use to get over by the Captains chair. 2 down, and one up.
He pushed himself near to the stair, and carefully pushed the wheels over the edge, dropping down. He repeating the process, until he was level with the Helm console. He then turned, and pressed a button on his chair. The chair rolled itself forward slightly, and then raised the chair up on a smaller set of wheels, which brought his chair up to the Command Deck of the Bridge. He pushed himself forward again.
Only then did he realize the two Command Officers sitting in the Chairs were both Commander First Class, instead of one being a Captain. He pushed himself over to him.
"Commander Noah Bates, reporting for duty as Chief Engineer, ma'am" he said to the female CDR1C in the Captain's Chair, assuming she was in Command.

Realizing he was talking to her, she looks up and smiles. "I'm Lt. Commander Joan McCormick, the science instructor, sir." She answers when the question registers, putting a 'sir' at the end when she noticed his rank.
"No, sir, I'm sorry she isn't. However, she is a friend of mine, and she comes in real handy in a jam. I just hope we don't need her, as things should go smoothly." She says hoping to get back to work, as she had found a few bugs to work out, and then her little prairie dog friend pops up on the screen making Joan smile a little bigger.
"Sir, I don't have to escort her anywhere. She isn't some child, and I am sure that I can coax her to leave. I would prefer not to, but I can." She says and notices he isn't listening anymore as he heads back to his seat.
I am not leaving, and I think you should get that notion out of your head. I don't care who he thinks he is! I can make it look like I have gone, but I won't leave. I will make myself stealth just so I can stay without causing you any trouble. Maybe I should add a 'dearie' or something like that. Leena thinks as she makes herself go invisible making that man think she had left, and teasing Joan at the same time. Joan wants to stick out her tongue at Leena, but doesn't as it might look really odd. She goes back to her computer bugs, and her computer pal. Hopefully no one would notice the computer prairie dog, and she sends him on a mission to figure out what is causing these bugs. He is gone forever, and Joan wonders if anything will come of Leena staying. She turns her mind from it trying to figure the glitches out as well while waiting on her little computer pal.

Jason went toward the Hanson, thinking it was high time he returned to duty. He went past the Lt guarding the gangway, after the Lieutenant waved him through, recognizing him.
Another mission, another challenge. He noticed from the ship's roster that no medical cadets had been assigned to the Hanson. So this would be a bit easier of a mission for Jason. Maybe he could get some research down.
Another interesting thing he noted on the Roster was the new Chief Engineer. Checking his profile, Jason noted the man was confined to a wheelchair, and was allergic to implants so had no relief from his condition. He noticed the logged attempts, and resultant failures of improving the implants, and thought he'd give it a try himself.
He reached the Bridge, and saw the man in front of Commander Hope. She was sitting in the Captain's chair, and an unfamiliar male officer was next to her. Jason went over, and checked the ship's roster.
Commanding Officer: Admiral Karynn McCormick
First Officer: Commander 1st Class Felix Savali
Looking at the names again, Jason realized that meant Joan's mother would be command; interesting. He noted that S'reena was listed as an Instructor. He went over.
Looking down at the wheelchaired Commander, he said "You're the new Chief Engineer I take it."
He looked up. "Yes, Commander Noah Bates, but how did you know?"
"Doctor Jason Black, Chief Medical Officer. I noticed your condition in your record, and it's easy to recognize you because of it," he said, then turned the Commander he didn't know. "Reporting in, sir." He looked between him and Commander Hope. "May I ask why the radical change in Command?"

Jonathan nervously rubbed his left pointer finger on the ocular implant just above his left eye brow as he walked toward the Hanson. He was excited to finally be getting on board a Federation Starship, but he was nervous at the same time.
At least it's not a Borg ship. He thought to himself.
Jonathan boarded the Hanson with minimal luggage, he really did not know what to expect on this voyage. He found it very hard to navigate through the ship.
"I knew I should have taken the Halo-Tour."
After a good 20 minutes he found his quarters. He entered with a smile. The quarters were much better than he had expected. He did realize that he now forgot to inform the Chief Medical Officer than he needed a small Regeneration Node that would connect to his Ocular implant for recharging when he slept. Jonathan found out the hard way once what would happen with out a recharge.
"First order of business is to find the bridge" He said running his hands through his hair as he left his quarters.
Kirk found his way to the turbo lift, he entered and with a strong voice said, "Bridge". Kirk was all alone in the turbo lift, he had a hard time with people looking at his obvious Borg implants. More often than not it was a look of shock on their face, he even was almost shot because somebody thought he was assimilated and there were more Borg around the corner.
Arriving on the Bridge he say 4 officers standing around the Captain's chair talking. One of them was wearing medical colors.
"Maybe I won't have to find my way to sickbay after all."
He approached the crowd and waited for a chance to speak up and introduce himself.

There were times when Karynn hated her job... and this was definitely one of them.
With two security officers in tow, McCormick bustled past the saluting lieutenant standing watch at the umbilical and headed directly toward the bridge. The ride on the turbolift was long enough for her to mull over her unpleasant orders. She didn't like acting on scanty information and in her estimation, this whole thing was ludicrous. She sighed audibly and the guards took note of it but said nothing.
The doors parted revealing a chaotic scene. Cadets were scurrying to please their instructors while a small creature faded in and out of existence, darting amid the numerous pairs of legs. Two First Officers were nearly standing nose to nose, each of them giving off a tenacious body language that a blind person could read; neither of them was going to budge until it was proven they had to leave.
All eyes affixed to the Admiral and her party of guards. Her surprise entrance was unheralded, which admittedly was the way Karynn liked it. She embarrassed easily and disliked it when the bridge would formally pipe her arrival with pomp and circumstance.
Desiring to make this as quick and painless as possible, Karynn announced without explanation, "Commander First Class S'reena Hope... I have the unfortunate news that you have been formally relieved of duty as of this moment, Stardate 91.0801, by the authority given me by Starfleet Headquarters, Section 47, on suspicion of espionage. Guards, please escort the Commander to her quarters and confine her there.”
S’reena’s face began to color as the anger within her peaked. “What?” she asked, incredulously. “This is insane!” She stepped away slightly as the guards descended upon her and, in response, they grabbed for her roughly. “Take your hands off me! I’m not a spy!”
McCormick strained to keep silent. She badly wanted to assure S’reena; tell her she didn’t believe the accusations either. However, protocol demanded she remain quiet and neutral. She kept mute as S’reena’s protests grew louder and could only look on stoically as the guards ushered her to the lift. The closing doors brought an eerie stillness to the bridge as S’reena disappeared behind them.
Karynn broke the silence solemnly, “Mr. Savali, you are to remain as the new Acting First Officer of the USS Hanson, by my authority as Commanding Officer of the Third Fleet. I have been ordered to assume command of this vessel. Computer, recognize Admiral, McCormick, Karynn as new Commanding Officer of the USS Hanson; authorization code Gamma Iota three.”
“Authorization confirmed,” the computer stated coolly.
McCormick nodded knowingly to Savali who now similarly addressed the computer, transferring his command codes to the ship as First Officer.
Karynn surveyed the bridge and each stunned face. Clasping her hands behind her back, she slowly walked the breadth of the bridge, taking time to make eye contact with each officer and each cadet.
“I understand this is an unorthodox way of beginning a training mission… but believe me, this wasn’t my idea. However, since we all have to make the best of it, I suggest we do. In spite of what just happened here, we have a task ahead of us that will take your total concentration. I want you all to focus on that task. Do your duty and do it well... and I will ask no more of you than your best.”
McCormick’s gaze settled on the cadet manning the helm. “Cadet, prepare the ship to leave spacedock.”
“Aye, Captain,” he responded sharply, and with Gordon’s help, began setting about the task.

Cadet Parson shifted uneasily in his position at engineering on the bridge. Suddenly an already busied and hectic training detail had taken a turn for the bizarre, with an admiral on deck, a lt. commander locked in quarters on suspicions of espionage, and having not even met his instructor yet, it was easy to imagine Parson's fear.
None the less he spun around to the display, and noticed a problem with the navigational deflector array immediatly. Turning around again and calling out to the engineering instructor commander Bates, he relayed his findings. "Excuse me, sir, the graviton polarity generator is reading a 3 percent decrease in power transfer. Recomend a level 5 diagnostic and recalibration before we get underway, at full speed that is?" He asked, nervously awaiting the responsive of the obviously experienced chief engineer.
<OFF: I didn't know whether I should jump right in with something of this nature, I just figured I'd engage in a little interaction, perhaps spir a relation between myself and the TO. Hope theere are no objections?>

Kirk was stunned by what he just watched happen.
Hell of a first assignment and we haven't even gotten underway He thought.
Kirk decided not to bug the Admiral with his petty attendance announcement, he went straight for Commander Savali who had just finished authorizing his command codes to the computer.
"Commander Savali, sir. Cadet Jonathan Kirk reporting for duty sir." Kirk said standing at attention.
Kirk handed Commander Savali his orders PADD.
"Sir," Kirk said nervously, "I have not been assigned to a post yet...I see most Cadets are already assigned to a post."
Kirk stood in front of Commander Savali waiting for his response as he looked over the PADD.

Lieutenant Arakkis also stood stunned, and not only because this fierce looking Klingon just insulted him multiple times. He was determined not to take the insult, and as his Vulcan training kicked in, the Klingon didn't get the satisfaction of his response. Instead, Arakkis watched the scene before them with rising amazement.
The admiral had just come aboard, and the first thing she did before introducing herself was place the first officer, who had loyally served the ship without serious incident for quite some time now. Sure, she had quite an extensive record on transgressions, but they were never going beyond disobeying orders. Espionage was a serious accusation.
Clearing his throat to attrackt attention, he stepped forward, ignoring the growls of the Klingon, or the uncertainly looking cadet. "Escuse me admiral, but is there proof of this? Commander Hope has served this ship for many years, and all her past commanding officers will certainly attest to her credibility. Or is this a scheme played by Starfleet Command to replace a Romulan officer?"
Meanwhile, S'reena had fought off the grip of the two guards who escorted her to her quarters. She still couldn't believe what she had just been told and wondered what exactly was going on. At first she had stood frozen upon hearing the charges, all colour draining from her face. Then, anger had risen.
S'reena knew that her angry outburst had not helped the matter, but she was very certain that someone was trying to frame her for something she was innocent of. All her life, she had been confronted with prejudice, and she had been called many things, but 'spy' was not among them.
"I am not a spy," she growled at her guards, "I have never even been to the Empire. I was born and raised on Earth!"
The guards, however, never said a word and roughly shoved her into her quarters, then closed and locked the door behind her. To her surprise, she found her quarters empty, as if her family had been taken from her and quartered elsewhere.
S'reena was now very disappointed in her shipmates, as none of them had stood up for her when the admiral uttered her baseless accusations. Then she realised it had all gone too fast for them to even react, and she hadn't missed the shocked looks on their faces.
~~Elsewhere in the universe~~
Subcommander Arrhae tr'ellian i'baratan gazed at the main viewscreen of her ancient Klingon vessel and growled. Her family had fallen from grace and she had been assigned to this hardly spaceworthy bucket of bolts. Her mission was to capture the valiant Intrepid class USS Hanson, and take it back as a prize to the empire.
"Sure," she muttered, "as if this vessel is any match for them!" She turned to her gunnery officer. "We must use the element of surprise. You had better make sure that our cloak and weapons systems are working optimally when we need it, and are sabotaged when we've done what we came here to do!"
The gunnery officer swallowed and nodded, unwilling to face the subcommander's wrath. "Ie," he said, "they will work khre'riov." (ooc: I hope I spelled that right.....)
"This will be a glorious victory for us, and for the empire," Arrhae laughed, "and a major defeat for that Federation!"

Cadet Michael Hannides had no time to say a long good bye to his friends because the USS Hanson was leaving and he was not on it, he knew he should not of taken a nap.
Michael quickly ran to the transporter room on the starbase conqueror.
"One to beam over to the USS Hanson Please" Michael said
" You must be cadet Hannides, they are waiting for you" said the man on the transporter controls.
Cadet Hannides walked over to the Transporter platform and with in 1 second he was aboard the USS Hanson.
On board the hanson
When Michael was in the Hanson transporter room he realized that no one had come to greet him, he had come late so he did not expect anyone to come to greet him.
So Michael made his way to his quarters. While he walked there he realized that all of the childhood dreams have now come true, he remembered the first time he saw a starship he loved it and from then he knew he wanted to join the federation and help others.
Then he realsied he did not know where his quarters were.
OFF: Sorry I was late i had computer troubles and could not access the Internet till now.

Post by Felix Savali on Aug 1, 2005 12:23:21 GMT
After Felix was done speaking to Akleth he heard the klingon mutter some curses under his breath but decided not to react. He did understand the klingon language but decided to let it go this time. After all everyone is entitled to a bit of dissatisfaction. After all everything that occurred so far was somewhat odd. He shrugged the thoughts out of his mind and concentrated on the people who were arriving to the bridge.
A moment later a young Engineering cadet had reported in.
"Welcome onboard cadet, I am Commander Felix Savali, the First Officer of the Hanson", Felix said as he looked at him
"Your instructor hasn't arrived yet but if you'd look over the engineering station which is back there", he said pointing at the back of the bridge, "I am sure you'll get a compliment for the initiative cadet Parsons.", Felix finished as the cadet acknowledged his suggestion and went over to the station
The next person to report in was a chief engineer who was in a wheelchair. Felix ignored the fact that he was in a wheelchair. The man most likely got injured while performing his duties. And if he didn't mind using a wheelchair, Felix wasn't going to let it bother him.
Although the man reported to S'Reena before she could say anything he answered him:
"Welcome aboard commander", Felix said
"I am Commander Felix Savali, the FO of the Hanson", he replied
"If you would take your station now commander, one of your cadets has only arrived a few moments ago Mr. Parsons, I sent him over to the engineering station.", he said to the chief engineer who then left to join his cadet
Next person to arrive was wearing the uniform of a medical officer. He came over and introduced himself. Dr. Black he said his name was and he was asking about the change in command if only Felix could reply him. But he still was not aware of why the change took place and neither was Commander S'Reena from what he understood.
"A moment please doctor"; Felix said to him as he turned to the new cadet who has just arrived
"Welcome aboard cadet, I am Commander Felix Savali, the First Officer of the ship."; Felix said to the cadet who introduced himself as cadet Kirk and appeared to be an ex-Borg
"Well cadet if you would go on there and take over the OPS station. Get acquainted with it and your instructor will be with you soon I'm sure", Felix said to the cadet as he went over to the OPS console
Just when he was about to answer the doctor's question, everyone went silent as admiral Karynn McCormick stepped on the bridge followed by two security officers. Well at least someone is respecting the rules he thought as Karynn approached Commander S'Reena. Felix knew Admiral McCormick from the time when she was still a rear admiral and in command of the USS Hepta. It was during the time while he was a cadet. After that he visited her once when he was passing through Conqueror but that was some time ago. But still she hasn't changed too much he thought as she spoke up to S'Reena.
After she was done Felix was a bit shocked that the former FO was a spy. Starfleet standards were definitely getting low these days. But there wasn't a lot of time for him to think about it. As the admiral has just assumed command of the ship and it was time for him to confirm his access codes. After he did that the admiral had her speech. She had one while he was a cadet also and this one was also inspiring enough. He thought as he closed his eyes for a moment.
After the admiral gave the command to prepare for departure, he moved over to the OPS console where cadet Kirk was nervously awaiting the arrival of his instructor.
"Relax a bit cadet, you'll do just fine", Felix said to him
"The officer who is the OPS instructor is currently on LOA, so I’ll be showing you how things work instead. I also used to be a COO before I was promoted to the FO post"; Felix told him
"Now look at this power allocation unit right here", he pointed to a read out on the console
"As we will be shipping out you need to establish a stabile power feed to the impulse and warp engines, you can boost some extra juice in the impulse engines that always comes in handy. As for the shields and weapons systems you can leave them powered down for now.", he said
"Now when you've got a stable power flow, you should run a diagnostic on the sensors there seems to be a minor glitch and a level 4 diagnostic should be enough. It'll probably turn out to be some background radiation but you can never be sure", Felix said
"Any questions"; he asked
<Tag Cadet Kirk>
As the cadet seemed to quickly get the grip of things Felix moved away and went back to his seat. But before he went he said one more thing to the cadet:
"If you need any help do not hesitate to ask, and when you're done with the sensors diagnostic let me know", Felix said
After he was done he returned to his seat. The admiral had already given the coordinates to the helm and ordered the ship to undock. Soon enough they would be on their way Felix thought as he sat down.
"Admiral", he turned to Karynn
"It is a pleasure to serve with you again", Felix said to her
"I hope you still remember me", he said as he awaited her response
<Tag Karynn>
--Meanwhile in another part of the ship--
Lt. Johnson was walking through the decks in order to find any lost cadets if there were any that is. But experience thought him that there always was one that got lost and couldn't remember to ask the computer for directions. He encountered a lost cadet on deck 3.
"Hello there", he said in a polite voice
"Hello sir"; cadet Hannides responded
"Would you be willing to tell me your name son", Johnson asked him
"Cadet Michael Hannides", the cadet responded
Johnson looked over his list and found Hannides on it.
"Your quarters are down that way", he said pointing down the corridor
"After you dump your gear in there, report to the bridge I am sure they are eagerly awaiting your arrival", Johnson said, "oh and if you get lost again, just ask the computer for directions"; he said with a smile as he went on looking for more lost cadets

"If you would take your station now commander, one of your cadets has only arrived a few moments ago Mr. Parsons, I sent him over to the engineering station."
"Thank you, sir. Indeed I will," he said, then pushed his wheels in opposite directions to spin his chair around in place. He pushed himself forward.
The Cadet he was coming towards called out to him. "Excuse me, sir, the graviton polarity generator is reading a 3 percent decrease in power transfer. Recomend a level 5 diagnostic and recalibration before we get underway, at full speed that is?" he asked, a hint of nervousness in his voice.
Bates pushed himself further forward, and lowered himself down the step. He was about to respond when the doors to the Bridge opened and an Admiral stepped onto the Bridge. Bates turned his chair toward her and squared his shoulders, his version of standing at attention. He watched as one of the Commanders, apparently named Hope, was arrested for espionage. He wasn't sure how to respond, since he had just met the Commander and had no idea whether it was true or not.
Moments later, business was settled, and he turned back to his Cadet. "Excellent assessment, Cadet. However, as I am not here to train you as an Engineering Bridge Officer, we'll proceed to Main Engineering to correct that. As as time is now of the essence..." Bates pulled a large PADD from a slot on the chair. He inputed the coordinates of Engineering, and placed the PADD back in its slot. "Place your hand on the back of my chair, Cadet," he said.
The Cadet, quite uncertain as to what was going on, did so. Bates pressed a button on his chair, and both were caught in a transporter beam. They materialized in Engineering. He looked up at the Cadet's astonished face. "Built-in site-to-site transporter. What's your name anyway, Cadet?"
"Oh, um, Parson...Richard Parson," he said, still somewhat shocked.
"Well, Mr Parson, you made a recommendation, so start carrying it out. Let me know if you need any help," he said.
<Tag Parson>
A Lieutenant approached Noah. The contrast between his pale face and his dark hair gave his a ghostly look. "Impressive chair. I take it you're the new Chief Engineer?" he asked.
"Indeed. Commander Noah Bates," he said, extending his hand. The younger man took it in return.
"Lieutenant Michael Bates," he said, and chuckled.
"This may get confusing around here then," Noah said, with a gleam in his eye. He looked over at Parson. "How's it coming, Cadet?" he called out.

Jason was shocked, even appalled, as Commander Hope was arrested for espionage. He had never been on the friendliest of terms with her, but she was a good Officer, and was no spy.
He noticed a Cadet nearby had a Borg ocular implant above his eye. He had been notified that this would be happening. He looked over. "You must be our ex-Borg. I was informed that you'd be onboard. I have your regeneration node in my Office. Come see me whenever you wish, and I'll get it for you."
He now turned to the Admiral, his mood not so cheerful. "Admiral, as Chief Medical Officer I must protest the Commander's arrest. I have served with Commander Hope for quite a few missions now, and trust her. Though she can be stubborn at times, she is a loyal Starfleet Officer with no ties or allegiance to the Romulan Empire. She is no spy."

"No sir." Replied Kirk.
Kirk watched Commander Savali walk back toward his seat. He now felt a sudden surge of confidence after talking with the Commander. Running his hands across the OPS controls his training kick in and he began the diagnostic on the sensors. The diagnoistic would only just take a moment to complete.
While Kirk waiting for the diagnostic to finish up he checked the impulse, thrusters, and warp power inputs and outputs. They only needed minor tweeking to bring all systems back into the factorey specifications.
"Yes sir, that is me. I appologise for not having enough time to inform you of my situation. I will be down as soon as possible."
Level 4 Diagnostic Complete informed the computer.
Kirk looked over the diagnostic and found the readings to be as Commander Savali said, just background radiation plus something odd, something he could not identify.
"Commander, diagnostic complete sir. I think you should take a look at this."
