The Klingon D-7 cruiser, dubbed Raptor, sped towards the Hanson, who floated unwittingly at low warp. Apparently their spy aboard the ship had done his homework and had made the gauges look wrong.
Arrhae steepled her fingers before her, as she watched her old ship creep up on the starfleet vessel. "Everyone get ready!" she called, "keep your phasers at maximum stun and shoot upon arrival. Hesitation will cost you your life!" She had been fortunate to run upon a shipment of phasers a few days ago, and she had 'persuaded' the Orion trader to hand them to her. The Orion had made no objections.
A few minutes later, the Romulans beamed aboard the defenseless federation vessel. The poor senior staff had absolutely no chance to react. As soon as the Romulans materalized on the bridge, everyone was stunned as they directly fired their phasers on wide dispersion.
Arrhae stood in the middle of the bridge, surveying the unconscious bodies. "Where is the Romulan!" she snapped.
Elsewhere on the ship, a small group of romulans invaded the quarters of the chief medical officer, effectively stunning it's occupants. In no time, every starfleet officer, non-commissioned officer and civillian had been stunned.
Arrhae was pleased. "Are the sabotages on the Raptor in place?" she enquired.
A junior engineer nodded. "Cloak will not work, and the engines are suitably damaged khre'riov, they will not be going anywhere at any time soon. Also, I have sabotaged life support, it will fail within 24 hours."
Arrhae nodded. "Have everyone, except the children, the Romulan and the Admiral beamed to the ship. Disable communications, and take their communicators and all equipment they had on them. Oh...there's a disabled engineer aboard.....he's staying behind also. Put the humans in the brig, and have the Romulan brought to the bridge."
The junior nodded, and went to attend to the orders given. Several minutes later, Karynn McCormick and Noah Bates were safely secured in the brig, while the rest of the Hanson crew (including all cadets) were transported to the Raptor. They would find themselves a nasty surprise when they woke up. The single pet (Leena) was beamed away, but kept in the pattern buffer. There was no escape for the creature.
S'reena slowly came to and to her surprise found herself supported by Romulans. She glanced at them, surprise registering on her face, and then she smiled wanly.
"Do you join us, or do you oppose us?" a young female wearing sub-commander stripes demanded.
"I join you," S'reena said flatly, "there is nothing left for me in the Federation. Are there other prisoners?"
Arrhae nodded and glanced at a PADD. "three children, a human male and a human female. The latter was the commanding officer."
S'reena nodded. "Computer, acknowledge Commander First Class S'reena Hope. The ship has been taken over, Admiral McCormick and Commander first class Felix Savali have been killed. Transfer command codes to me, authorization Hope gamma one zero november."
The Romulan prayed that the computer would comply instantly, and almost cheered when it did. =^= Code accepted, all command codes are transferred to Commander First Class S'reena Hope."
NB: everyone is unconscious, and nobody was secretly left behind! so no heroism on this part![/color]

Felix heard the familiar sound of someone materializing somewhere near the bridge and just as he turned his head to see what was that sound coming from he saw a group of Romulans for a brief moment before the phaser beam hit him and knocked him unconscious. While he was out, he couldn't know what was happening. He didn’t know that the admiral, the chief engineer and the children were taken hostage. That everyone on the ship was knocked out, that they were transported of to an old klingon ship, that the Klingon ship has been sabotaged. All of that was unknown to him.
--On the klingon ship--
Felix was unaware how much time has passed, at first he couldn't make out where he was, and then it slowly came to him a group of Romulans had attacked the Hanson. He slowly started getting up from the floor on which he was lying for an unknown amount of time. He looked around him to see the bridge crew and cadets coming 'round too. He looked around and then it hit him, they were no longer on the Hanson. They appeared to be on a ... klingon ship. He was shocked but after he looked over a panel and saw klingon writing he was sure of it.
"Is everyone OK", he asked the cadets and instructors that were with him on the bridge
<Tag all>
From what he could see, all cadets were on the bridge, as well as most of the instructors. Admiral McCormick was nowhere to be seen and the engineering instructor Bates was not around either. However they could be somewhere else on the ship.
"Commander Akleth", he called to the Klingon CTSO
"Get your security cadets, Mr. Hannides, Mrs. Nokomis, and Mr. Daya and go and get me a head count, I want to know is everyone here and who is missing. Also try to find Admiral McCormick and Commander Bates and commander S’reena.", he said to the klingon
<Tag Akleth, Nokomis, Hannides, Daya>
"Dr. Black, do a quick checkup on everyone who is here and after that's done go and join commander Akleth in the search for the Admiral and commander Bates", Felix said
<Tag Black>
"Commander Harash-kyat, take cadet Kirk and cadet Parson and give me a system status I want to know what systems are working, which are not and I want to know how long it will take to fix those systems that are not working", Felix ordered the Grazerite
<Tag Harash-kyat, Cadet Kirk, Cadet Parson>
"Commander Gordon, cadet T'Brel see what you can make out from the navigational systems", Felix said
<Tag Gordon, Cadet T'Brel>
"Commander McCormick", Felix said
"See if the sensors are working", Felix started
"If they are try to determine where are we and see if you can locate the Hanson or at least her warp signature.", Felix said
<Tag McCormick>
"Oh and everyone", he said before they started to go and do the jobs he assigned to them
"Everything is going to be ok, now I can understand if you're nervous or even a bit frightened, that is fully normal. But trust me we are going to get out of here and we will get our ship back, which I guarantee you. Now go and do your best, no one will ask of you more than that.", Felix said to the cadets before they set of on their tasks
After everyone started heading in different directions he took a moment to utilize one of the Vulcan mind calming techniques he learned while he was at the Vulcan science academy. After a few moments he was a bit calmer but still he couldn't understand how this happened. Unless… unless, S'reena was really a spy and set the trap up before they could arrest her. If that was so and they had her with them, the tasks that they would face would become so much harder.

"I think I will be fine sir." Replied Kirk as he got up from the cold of the deck.
Kirk could not remember what was going on. The last thing he remembered was being on board the Hanson talking with Parson and Commander Bates. Then he felt a hot stinging sensation on his back and now he was brought back to consciousness on a dirty, cold, metal floor of a Kilingon ship.
Why did they use metal, Kirk thought. They could have been more civilized and use some form of carpet.
As Kirk was pulling himself to his feet he felt light headed, this had never happened to him before. He quickly sat down and leaned against a bulk head hoping nobody saw what just happened. Kirk began hearing the tiny little voices in his head, nothing new to him just an update from the Nano- Machines wtih hin his bodys major parts. The disruptor shot to the back had damaged a section of Nano-Machines that do all their work on his spine and central nervious system. The dizziness was more than likley the cause of those damaged machines not responding. Kirk mentally gave the machines the command to begin building replacements. Kirk knew that the building of these new machines would drain their energy alot more than just day to day activities. He was guessing he only would have about 6 hours of energy left before the emergency reserves kicked in.
Kirk stayed seated as he watched Commander Harash-Kyat and Cadet Parson start pulling themselfs off the ground. Once they were full off the ground and standing Kirk decided to join them. He was still light headed, but as he stood there next to Cadet Parson, and Commander Harash-Kyat things started to clear up. Kirk waited for Commander Harash-Kyat to give the first order of buisness to the two Cadets.

Why was life so hard? He had just begun to enjoy the subtle scents of the Intrepid class ship only to be plunged into the stench of an old Klingon D-7 Battle cruiser. The rotten smell was nearly over powering to the sensitive grazerite, at least Akleth would feel at home. Harash-kyat shook his head and got shakily to his feet. He then wished he hadnt and woozily held out an arm to steady himself. Grazerites did not respond well to stunning... grazerites did not respond well to violence of any kind. Quickly he looked round for Kirk and Parsons, both had been close by to him during the attack. Both looked well but Bates was missing as was the Admiral. Mr Savali was already in control of the situation and rather than letting people think about what had happened was setting them to work.
"Well you heard him" Harash-kyat grunted his naturally acerbic mood returned, "We have work to do" "Whats first then sir?" Kirk asked, Harash-kyat looked about him, not quite sure himself. "Engineering I think. yes lets check the Warp core and life support systems. Parsons as the engineer you ll come with us on the way lets see if we can't find tools. Oh and do either of you read Klingon?"

(OOC: I believe you guys have forgotten about the other Bates onboard ) Michael Bates was busy checking over the status of various systems when the doors to Engineering whirred open. He turned just in time to see the green ray of a Romulan disruptor coming for him before he lost consciousness. He woke to find himself laying on a cold hard metal grating. Lifting himself up, he realized he could see circuitry underneath the floor. Picking himself up, he looked around the dark drab room in which he found himself. He looked at the panels, and recognized them as Klingon. Looking further around, he noticed what appeared to be the Warp Core, and a Klingon version of a Master Systems Display. Looking at the MSD carefully, he realized he was in the Engine Room of an old D-7 Class Battlecruiser. From his history, he knew this ship was at least 100 years old. He checked himself. Both his communicator and tricorder were gone. Those Romulans were efficient. He heard the doors open, and he hid behind a corner, expecting Klingons, Romulans, or both. Looking carefully around, he saw Starfleet uniforms, sighed relief, and stepped out. He recognized Commander Harash-Kyat and Cadet Parson, but the other Cadet was unfamiliar. "Hi there," Michael Bates said to them. "Do any of you know what's going on?" --------------Elsewhere on the ship------------ "Dr. Black, do a quick checkup on everyone who is here and after that's done go and join commander Akleth in the search for the Admiral and commander Bates", Felix said. Jason first checked over his own body. There was a dull pain from where the disruptor hit him, but he'd be fine. "Yes sir. Everyone feeling alright?" he said, looking around at those present. "If you're feeling a dull pain where you were shot, don't worry that's normal. I would give you something for it, but I appear to have been stripped of everything including my medical tricorder and communicator. This ship looks rather old, and Klingon medicine even today isn't very good. I'm not looking forward to seeing what their version of Sickbay is like." He went over to Akleth. "I'm ready to search whenever you are, Commander."

"Step right here, cadet Daya", Felix said "The admiral has something important to see to", he added "So, welcome on board cadet. You made it just in time.", Felix said while he was pulling out a report on the cadet from the side console "So, I see that you'll be training as CTSO.", Felix said to him "I see", Felix said "Well feel free to join cadet Hannides who's manning the CTSO station now with lt. Arakkis's help. Your instructor is currently visiting a prisoner with a cadet but he should be back soon. In the meantime you can get acquainted with the station", Felix said Daya quickly made his way over to the station, and stood back to watch what was happening. He introduced himself to the others, and simply stood back. When the Romulans beamed aboard the bridge, Daya had only a moment to act before he was stunned. He took in the surrounding area, and new the weapons they used, then he was out cold. When he came to, he was laying on the bridge of a Kligon vessel, immediatly he knew something was wrong. It had been a very long time since he had been on a Kligon vessel, but he still recognized most of the equipment, even though it looked to be a 100 years old. Receiving the orders to take a head count, he went about his work, helping other cadet's and intrustors to their feet. Leaving the bridge, he went down a few corriders to look for anyone else other than themselves. When he returned to the bridge, he notified Commander Salavi of his finding. "Sir, it appears that no one else is onboard, judging from the corriders I explored that is. Admiral McCormick was not on any of those corriders." He turned to leave, but then thought of something. "Sir, when i was younger, my parents took me aboard a Kligon vessel similar to this, i may now how to work the weapons systems if we get them operating"

Bates' eyes widened in surprised as Romulans entered Engineering and started shooting. He tried to reach over and establish a forcefield around them, but in his efforts to move, he was noticed and shot. His body went limp in his chair.
He woke up, he didnt know long later, lying on the floor of a Brig cell. The first thing he noticed was the fact that his chair had been taken from him, as had his communicator. He used his arms to push himself up, and then moved over and pulled himself up onto the bench he had available. He touched his side, and winced at the sensation when he touched where he had been shot. There was a dull pain there.
He looked out of the cell, and saw a Romulan standing guard. "Hey, you!" he called out. The Romulan looked up. "Yeah, you! I want to speak with one of your superiors. And I demand my chair be returned to me!" he said, angrily. He despised being deprived on his mode of transportation.

T'Brel's head was spinning. In a matter of seconds a Federation ship was taken over by someone T'Brel didn't have any idea who. When T'Brel fully regained his bearing an awful smell hit his nostrils. One thing that T'Brel had inherited from his father was his since of smell.
It took T'Brel a couple of seconds to get hold of the smell. It made him want to puke, but he wouldn't do that. He could tell that there were on a Klingon ship, and he remembered that they had a Klingon member on the crew so it would be a little eaiser for them to get out of this mess.
"Commander Gordon, cadet T'Brel see what you can make out from the navigational systems", Felix said.
"Aye, sir," T'Brel said as he got up and headed to what he thought were the navigational controls. He couldn't make heads or tails of it, but T'Brel just tried to concentrate on the task of hand. T'Brel had learned a little Klingon with his mother, but that was a long time ago.
"It says here that navigational controls are down, it seems that the Klingons did this to thier ship," T'Brel said to Commander Gordon.
"Why would they do that, do you think there are still more Klingons on board?" Gordon asked.
"I don't know, sir," T'Brel said hoping that they were alone.

Michael moaned as he scrambled to his feet, and as a result bumped his head on a console he'd apparently be lying under. "Bridge?" he murmured groggily, "how did I get on the bridge?" He reached up and made a face when his hand connected with the grimy layer on the console he was under. "When was the last time the bridge was cleaned?" he wondered aloud, as he pulled himself up.
He winced as he got to his feet, and gingerly probed the area where the stun beam had hit him. "The children!" he suddenly exclaimed. He nearly toppled over as he suddenly straightened up, and the scene before him went spinning. "Where are we?" he asked nobody in particular.
As his vision cleared and the fog in his mind lifted, he noticed that they were no longer on the Hanson, and both his daughters were missing. "Kahlan!" he yelled, breaking into a run - as far as running is possible - feeling his feet slither through the grime on the deck, "Yarna!"
At last he caught sight of Commander Savali. "Commander, have you seen my daughters?" He looked around desperately, "has anyone seen my girls? And my wife?" He sought support on Felix as he threatened to lose his balance once more. "Please, has anyone seen my girls?"
~~ On the Hanson ~~
The Romulan guard gazed down at the disabled human in disdain. "You demand?" he huffed, "you are in no position to demand anything. Now be quiet, before I give you a hand in doing so!"
The guard turned to the occupant in the cell beside him "Ah finally you're waking up." He turned to a figure who was standing in the shadows of the holding area. "She's waking up commander, you can talk to her now."
S'reena Hope moved out of the shadows, but her whole bodylanguage showed that she'd rather be elsewhere. Arrhae had given her the choice to join them, or be killed as a spy. S'reena had opted to join them, and not just to avoid death, but because at that time she felt she had to, to get her revenge. Now, however she was not as pleased as she was before; she still wanted revenge.....but differently.
"The ship has been taken over by Romulans," S'reena stated quietly, "you and Mr Bates are now prisoners of the Romulan Empire."

Seeing the commotion brought by the parent, Daya walked over to speak with him. "Sir, please reamin as calm as possible, i know this is hard to understand, but Commander Salavi is alittle busy at the moment"
Daya motioned for the parent to step aside with him, hoping to give the commander some time to deal with everything else that had happened. "Sir, my name is Cadet Daya, Your daughters are not onboard, i already took a head count to see who was all here, and it seems we are missing the Admiral and the engineering officer, Bates i belive was his name. Please sir, try to remain calm."
Daya did his best to keep the situation under control, but he knew he would not be able to do much, being only a cadet, perhaps his instructor could help. He looked up and around the bridge to find him, and motioned him over.

Cadet Parson was surprised as a lieutenant lept from behind a bulkhead in egineering, startling both him and the Commander. The new arrival asked what was going on. The Commander explained everything, and a chilling silence filled the engine room of the aging warbird. Parson was the first to speek.
"These are the romulans we're dealing with, right? I guess we can assume that this old girl isn't in top shape." He walked over to a computer panel and began operating it. "I'll give it to the Klingons, they have a pretty efficient interface...damn." parson said. "These engines are completely disabled, and the impulse generators have been completely purged of all fusion reactions. And as I thought, life support systems are going down fast. The B'rel class can only support 12 personel comfortably, and 24 for extended periods...but with this kind of damage...we're looking at 24, maybe 23 hours."
Parson turned to the Commander, and the two cadets. Though both the cadets looked worried yet determined, the commander was clearly about to issue there orders. Before he could speak, the brash cadet had onyl one more thing to say.
"I don't get it commander. The romulans are vicious, but they're not sociopaths...if they wanted us dead, why not just kill us. Why strand us on a crippled bird so we can try desperately to keep from going under?"

T'pax woke, his head spinning. He last remembered being on the hanson in his quarters when he was hit by a phaser and fell unconscious. He looked about and quickly realised they were not obviuosly not on the hanson. The ship looked klingon and this seemed to be the bridge, standing up he saw the rest of the crew was here as well he noticed Commander Savali and walked up to him. " Commander, I'm cadet t'pax, i was supposed to be training in engineering but seeing as we are in a lot of trouble shall i get down to engineering and see what i can do?"

"Not a word." replied Kirk looking now at Cadet Parson, "How about your Parson?"
<Tag Parson>
The trio headed through the main bridge doors. Ahead of them was a long corridor with another door infront of them.
"Not much for style." Kirk said outloud. "If i remember from my tatics class, this ship should only have 4 or 5 decks. Main Engineering should be a stright shot from the bridge."
Walking the distance of the ship they finally came to a thick looking door with words on it. Kirk shrugged looking at the words and proceeded through the door.
"I am not too sure. I think I saw Romulans, but what would we be doing on this old Klingon ship if we were attacked by Romulans?"
It seemed all four of them now shared the same confusion about that issue. They should by all rights be aboard a Romulan ship in a large storage room, or on board the Hanson confined in the brig.
Kirk walked away from the conversaion in a trance. His mind was going a million miles an hour. He needed to focus. He was not longer light headed as he kept getting progress reports in his head about the condition of the replacement nano machines now restarting their duties in the area of his back that way shot by the distruptor. His nano machines had analyised the blast and calculated the proper shielding for the disruptor. If only he still had a borg shield system with in his body things could be different if we ever saw those Romulans again.
"I think they want another Romulan ship to cross the boarder and take us out. As far as we can tell this ship is just a sitting duck."
"Parson, your the engineer. How do we get this bird to fly again?"

Akleth began to smile as he returned to consciousness. The smell was so right, he thought he was dreaming. It smelled klingon. It smelled home. A home he hadn't seen in 15 years. He opened his eyes and sat bolt- upright. He was on a klingon ship. He jumped to his feet and looked around. He hadn't been dreaming. The smell was real. He was really here.
He approuched the place where the most people were gathering. He saw his cadets, Daya, Hannides and Nokomis, gathered around Savali, who was cautiously giving orders.
"Commander Akleth," he called, "Get your security cadets, Mr. Hannides, Mrs. Nokomis, and Mr. Daya and go and get me a head count, I want to know is everyone here and who is missing. Also try to find Admiral McCormick and Commander Bates and commander S’reena."
Akleth turned that the 3 cadets followed him." Cadets Daya and Hannides, start in this room and move left, search everyroom. Nokomis, we'll go right. Once we've finished this deck, move to the next. Keep an eye out for S'reena, Admiral McCormick and Mr. Bates. They are the only missing senior staff. Move out. Report back to me if u find anything unusual or when you are done."
Akleth and Nokomis started going right.
Tag: Nokomis, Daya, and Hannides.
A few minutets later.
"Commander Savali." Akleth and Nokomis had returned but Daya and Hannides were still searching. "The children are not onboard."
"And no one saw them hide or run away. They would have been out the longest had they been here. Children take longer to recover from phaser blasts." Nokomis added.

"Parson, your the engineer. How do we get this bird to fly again?" Kirk said to Parson, who considered the request for a moment. He looked over at Bates, still startled by the events at hand.
"Actualy," parson said, "Lietenant Bates is the real engineer. He'd certainly know more than I. All I can say for sure is that our impulse engines are as a good as paperweights unless we can port tritium from the warp systems, warp itself is ofline, I figure the reaction is dead, and the injector and containment systems have been gutted, and our life support is dying, but not for lack of power. I can't even begin to guess what's getting them, and there's doesn't seem to be an easy way to order a level 3 diagnostic on this old girls computer."
Parson seemed both happy with his statement and depressed at the situation, and looked to the commander and lietenant bates for word.

Joan was surprised when the ship was taken over. She had lost Leena in the commotion, and wondered where she might have gotten to. She was taken over to the new ship, and wondered what possessed these people to take something that wasn't theirs. She never understood why people stole, and frankly she didn't want to. She began looking around in her new surroundings, wondering who all was here. She pushed some bad feelings aside and looked around for the commander, which she finds almost instantly. "Sir, what would you like me to do?" She says standing at attention.
<tag savali>
Meanwhile, as Ensign Jamie Thiece continues to tamper with systems aboard the ship, he wonders how long he has before the jig is up. He was surprised that the engineer didn't ask questions about his last post when he arrived with the new comers. He smiles, and continues on with his work, when all of a sudden the ship is attacked and overtaken. He is knocked out quickly as he tries to fight them, trying to make it look like he was on the Hanson team here.
Several hours later, he wakes up on a new ship, and finds himself in engineering. He walks over to one of the consoles to find it in Klingon. He pretends he doesn't understand it, and looks around asking if anyone does speak the language.

(OOC: Just so you Cadets know, I write for both Noah Bates and Jason Black, which is why I can write for Michael Bates from either account)
Michael Bates looked around the room after Parson made his assessment. "Thiece, you wouldn't by chance be able to read Klingon, would you?" he asked, looking over at the junior engineer.
"No, sir. Unfortunately I don't," Thiece said, squinting at the consoles.
Michael turned to Parson. "Well Mr Pason. It would appear that Commander Bates is nowhere to be found at present. In which case, I am effectively Chief Engineer, and due to his absence, it is my responsibility to train you. We can't read Klingon, but you don't need to be able to read the words on the display to tell its purpose."
He walked over to a console on the side of the room. It had several indicator bars that were empty or nearly so. "For example, this is most likely a Warp Core display or at least engines."
Parson came over. "How do you know that, sir?"
"Because the indicators are pretty much empty. Given that the engines are dead, any readouts for them would be the same," he said, and looked around the room. "And since I don't see any similar readouts, it's a good assumption." He turned to face the rest of the room. "Gentleman, we need to get a general idea of what the stations in this room do. Fan out, and sutdy the consoles. Try to get a general idea of what they do. From there, we can get some idea of the status of this ship. Let's get moving," he said, and started on the nearest console

Jason Black searched around the ship for at least half-an-hour, trying to find some semblence of a Sickbay. He was not looking forward to finding it, but it was necessary he was going to at least attempt to fulfill his duties. If nothing else, hopefully it would have beds to let any injured rest on for the time being.
Finally, he opened a door, and there was what appeared to be a surgical bed, surrounded by diagnostic equipment.
"Well," he said to himself, looking around the room. "This is either Sickbay, or the Commander's quarters..."
"I hope the former," a familiar female voice said behind him. Ensign Hicks was standing in the doorway. "I just wanted to check with you on whether I needed to be concerned for my child," she said, stepping into Sickbay.
"I don't believe so. They shot you in the shoulder," he noted, seeing the disruptor mark. "The baby should be fine."
He then noticed something next to the surgical bed. Walking around it, he found a tool tray. His eyes widening in shock, he picked up what appeared to be a scalpel, but it was curved and serated.
"I, uh, hope you don't have to use that, Doctor," Hicks said nervously.
"Believe me, Ensign," he said, putting it down. "I hope so too."

He didn't bother sitting up straight, as it would disturb the now sleeping Kahlan; Yarna was still whimpering. The door slid open to reveal the new commanding officer of the Hanson: Admiral Karynn McCormick. "If you've come to bother me and my family you'd better go admiral," Michael said roughly, "because I'm not going to give you any information on my wife. The accusations are baseless, and ridiculous. Any previous commanding officer of this vessel, as well as fellow crewmembers can vouch for her integrity. Karynn strode into the quarters and calmly stood facing Michael Hope. She had prepared herself for his anger but she hadn't thought about encountering S'reena's children. The sight of them clinging to their father, frightened and crying was nearly too much for her. Swallowing hard, she softly spoke, hoping her hushed tones would calm all of them. "Doctor... my intention for coming here was not to interrogate you about your wife. I wanted to assure you that I am doing everything in my power to uncover the facts." Michael scoffed, "I'm sure you are... you almost killed her once." McCormick lowered her head, for an instant reliving the horror of the virus that had turned her into something so evil that it still haunted her. "Yes, you are right. But you also know I was not responsible for my actions at the time." She looked up and saw him stroking the hair of his three-year-old, pretending not to listen. McCormick stepped closer. "I don't need to talk to former commanders of the Hanson to know her dedication and loyalty; I've observed her service here for years and know it to be exemplary." Karynn hesitated. She was bound by duty not to say anything but in cases like this, bending the rules was the only recourse for people of good conscience. "I don't believe the reports I've seen. They're too sketchy... relying heavily on hearsay... I had to arrest your wife, yes, but I don't think this case against her will go anywhere." She moved closer and placed her hand on his shoulder. "I want you to believe me when I say I will do everything I can to prove these accusations false." The Doctor looked up into Karynn's face, his taunt jaw softening, realizing she was speaking the truth. He was about to tell her he believed her when the door of the living quarters flew open. Karynn was the first to get hit, catching a phaser blast to her abdomen as she had spun around to face the door. She had time enough to see who they were - Romulan - before her knees went weak and her surroundings went dark. ---------------------------------------- The Hanson's brig slowly came into focus as McCormick roused herself. Sitting up was arduous for the blast to the stomach sent waves of pain at every movement. Looking around, she found she was alone in her cell. Just outside, she could see three Romulans. Then, a fourth moved into sight. She was wearing a Starfleet uniform. 'Well... perhaps my presumption of her innocence was premature,' thought Karynn.

Waking up to an attack against my senses from the old Klingon ship I looked around and saw my cadet raising up slowly beside me.
"You ok Cadet?" I asked as I stood and helped him to his feet as well.
"I have been better Sir" Came the reply and still uncharacteristic smile from my Vulcan-Trill Cadet.
"I think we all can say that T'Brel." I said with a laugh as I clapped him on the back.
After helping the Doctor assess everyones condition T'Brel and I moved over to what we mutually agreed was the Navigational control panel.
"So what do you make of this?" I asked pointing at the console and then continued on before he could answer. "I can make out a little bit of the controls but my Klingon is so rusty it would blow apart in a light breeze."

Kirk acknowledged Lt. Bates' orders and walked over to the nearest station with power. Looking over the console he could not figure out what any of these symbols mean and even with Bates' logic about guessing what the symbols meant was not an option at this station, this station did not give off a clue as to what it did. Kirk peered over his shoulder to see that Commander Harash-Kyat was standing behind him.
"Commander, while the engineers are working on trying to fully restore the engines I think we need to start looking at a solution for life support. According to Parson, life support has power and that means we should be able to find the main computer in a sort of 'stand by' mode. I suggest that we head to the computer core and see if we can get main power online. Doing that should assist the engineers on jump starting this old bird."
"I think it is worth a shot Cadet." replied Commander Harash-Kyat.
Kirk moved over to the next station, this station had a deck by deck display of the ship. Running his finger across the display he spotted what looked to the Main Engineering. He then spotted yellow and red lines running from the top of engineering on the display to one deck above to what could possibly be the computer core.
"I would say that looks like the computer core." Kirk said looking at Commander Harash-Kyat.
Harash-Kyat nodded in agreement, "After you Cadet." He sad with a smile.
Kirk climbed up a ladder up one deck and started walking back towards the rear of the ship again. Noticing large diameter pipes running the length of the corridors Kirk pointed and said, "I would guess those are life support piping." With out any answer from the Commander, Kirk stopped at the door in front of him. The symbol on the door matched the symbol on the display. Pushing a console on the bulkhead the door opened up to reveal a mammoth of a machine.
"What do you make of this Commander?" Kirk asked.

S'reena watched the two prisoners, and felt a feeling of guilt arise. "Out," she told the Romulan guards as she pointed towards the door. "I wish to speak to the prisoners alone." When the three guards started to protest, she leveled her phaser at them in a silent threat. She knew the three of them could take her on easily, but she doubted that they would kill her since she was the sole person who could operate this ship and knew what it could do. Well, she and the two prisoners.
She stepped forward and produced a small medical kit. Snapping off the forcefield, she held the phaser trained on the admiral, but in a flash showed her the setting. "There is no need for you to suffer," she said quietly, extracting a hypospray from the kit.
"I'm sorry admiral," she whispered, certain that they would be overheard if she spoke up, "I have little choice in the matter. All I can do now to ensure your safety, is to make sure they believe I am on their side." She swallowed visibly, as if she was loathe to inject the admiral with the painkillers. "They are holding my children. Their commander said so and I can't see them. She claims to have killed my husband."
She got back to her feet, and glanced down at the admiral. "Humans are so weak," she spat, and was aware of the snickering sounds behind her. She stepped back and snapped the forcefield back into place.
"Look at them," she taunted, "that one can't even move around without mechanical aid!"
<Bates> (I'll service him later:p)
On the bridge, Arrhae glanced at the viewscreen, and found the sight of stars flitting by to be extremely relaxing. Yet, she couldn't afford to lose her guard. The traitress romulan starfleet officer had said she was on their side, had passionately explained her motives, but had winced when Arrhae had shown her the children.
Instantly, Arrhae had known that at least one of the children was hers. Now, she could use them as leverage to make sure the woman would not betray them. She did wonder who the other children belonged to.
"Status of the Klingon vessel?" she enquired, as she gave the order to set course for the Empire.
"Still adrift khre'riov," the Romulan helmsman said, and smiled crookedly, "and they will be for quite some time. Our spy is among them, he'll do his work until his last breath. I pity the young man, stuck between those weaklings for years, pretending to be one of them."
"But his job is an honourable one," Arrhae interjected, "and if he does get killed, his honour is intact, as is that of his family."
The helmsman nodded, and suddely found his console of more interest than the subcommander.

Before Felix could dismiss the thought of Cmdr. Hope being on the team with Romulans, Michael Hope came to the bridge yelling about his kids but before Felix could say anything one of the security cadets intercepted the man and attempted to calm him down. Just as he was about to ask Hope a few questions a new cadet appeared on the bridge. Felix did not recognize the newcomer and was about to call on security but then decided not to. He had no way to verify if he was a cadet or not.
"Commander, I'm cadet t'pax, I was supposed to be training in engineering but seeing as we are in a lot of trouble shall i get down to engineering and see what I can do?"
"Late on your first day cadet", Felix asked him in an attempt to lighten the atmosphere
"Sure, cadet if you can find your way down to engineering, go and join Cmdr. Harash-kyat, and cadets Parson and Kirk who are already there", Felix said
"Yes, sir", cadet T'Pax said as he left from the bridge and beginning his search for the engine room

Then commander Akleth arrived to inform Felix of who he found and who was missing. After Akleth informed him that the children were missing, Felix saw that Michael almost fainted. And he, to say the truth, was not feeling much better. It was all his fault. He took his daughter to stay with him to keep her safe while her mother went on a dangerous mission just to get her in one that is even more dangerous and now she ended up being taken by a bunch of Romulan trash. But no, he was not going to mourn about it as that was not going to help bring her back.
"He was going to make those Romulans pay for it, them and their traitor. After hearing this he was sure that S'reena Hope was a spy and a traitor and that Starfleet was right to take her into custody. They should have done it years ago. They were too nice towards the romulan he thought. But he felt sorry for Michael his wife kidnapped his children. She probably convinced him that she loved him and used him to improve her rating within Starfleet.
"I assume that S'reena Hope is also nowhere to be seen?", Felix asked him trying to keep his composure
"The commander is not on the ship, nor are Commander Bates and Admiral McCormick", Akleth informed him
So they took the admiral and the commander hostage also he thought. What could they want with the ship and the admiral and the commander?
"Thank you commander"; he said to Akleth
"Now please if you and your cadets could go over the weapons systems and see if we got any armament and if any of it is working if it isn't see if you can fix some of it"; Felix said, " And also see if anything can be done with the cloaking device", Felix said

The he went over to Michael Hope.
"lt. I feel for you for my child has also gone missing. But crying over it will not bring our children back, we need to get this ship working and go after the Hanson. And let me just tell you this we will get them back and if you wife is working with those who have attacked us, she will pay for it I promise you that dr.", Felix said to him
<Tag Dr. Hope>
Then he went over to Joan McCormick whose mother has also gone missing.
"Commander"; he said to her
"I just wanted to tell that they will not hurt Admiral McCormick, she is too valuable to them and I promise you that we will get her back. But I need you now, we need your help to find them so please try to keep yourself together and help us get them back. As my child is also missing as are the children of Dr Hope.", Felix said
"Now if you can, please try and see if the sensors are working. If they are try to locate the Hanson or her warp trail. If they aren't see if you can work with engineering or ops and get it fixed as soon as possible", he said to her

A bit of backposting LOL -
(Harash-kyat looked the engineer up and down. "Another Bates" he harrumphed, "Okay Parsons your with Bates. You ll get the engines online"
Harash-kyat scowled and squinted at the machine. Lights flashed and a small red terminal showed simple red icons that depicted Klingon letters. "Its definitely computer systems related. And if it is life support I d be loathed to touch anything for fearing of venting our remaining atmosphere." Kirk nodded, "But we have no idea is life suppport is working or not - we may only have hours of air left" Harash-kyat slammed a fist against a bulkhead Kirk jumped back. "Grrr anything for a tricorder, any device." he paused, " I m sorry, I get a tad annoyed from time to time especially under stress. cursed romulans." "I still don't get that Romulans on a klingon ship" Harash-kyat appeared not to hear and then looked round, "Oh that, way back in your namesakes time the Romulan and Klingons were allies, they exchanged technology, the Klingons gave ships and weapons to the Romulans and in turn got cloaking technology. The alliance did nt last long, Romulan treachery saw the end to that, and well klingons arent well known for their diplomacy." Kirk nodded as he listened to teh history lesson, "It still doesnt solve our immediate problem" "No it doesnt. But perhaps Akleth can. Akleth is our only klingon, perhaps he could be persuaded to come down and at least tell us what some of these symbols are." "Sounds like a plan" "Thats because it is" Harash-kyat replied quizzically, "So set to it, hunt down the Klingon, just follow the stench" he added under his breath.

Noah Bates glared at Commander Hope. He had no idea whether to believe she was on his side or not. Traitors often appeared to be double-agents to lull those they betrayed into complacency.
"Commander, I don't know whether the claims Starfleet Command made about you being a spy are true or not, but do you realize how well what you have done solidifies their claims? By remaining onboard, you'll appear to have assisted the Romulans in the taking of this vessel," he said, trying to keep the anger out of his voice.
"And as you said earlier, I may not mechanical aid to move, but the truth is, I am your "mechanical aid". I know this ship and its technology much better than any of the Romulans currently onboard. The fact is you need me, if you wish to have this ship in one piece when you attack someone else, or present it to the Romulan government, or whatever you intend to do. There are faults in the ship's systems. I know what they are, and I know how to fix them. I don't know what side you're on, but if you get me my chair back, and let me out of here, I'll be far more use to you than I am sitting in here."
