"You make it seem as if I had a choice in remaining behind or getting beamed over to wherever the rest of the crew is," S'reena spat, "and right now my only option is survival and to save my family. At present I can hardly care what Starfleet Command thinks of me, and I can't care less either. I am Romulan, I will always be Romulan. I cannot be more or less than who I am. Starfleet betrayed me by even thinking that I would be a spy. At least the Romulans do not doubt me for who I am." She glared down at him, giving him room to respond.
"And what commander, sabotage the ship? You are correct, we need you. I suspect that is why you were allowed to remain behind, because Subcommander Tr'Ellian knows that she cannot keep this ship in one piece if something fails."
The Romulan ex-first officer beckoned for one of the guards to step forward. "You will be allowed to return to engineering, under close guard." She knew that the commander would expect most of the abilities on his wheelchair to be disabled, but in truth only the most obvious parts had been. It would only be a matter of time, and hopefully not too soon, before the commander would discover that fact.
"Help him into his chair, and get him down to engineering," she told two of the guards, "keep a close eye on him, but treat him well. If anything happens to him, it will be your lives in return as payment." She watched as they helped him into his wheelchair. "Gently!" she snapped, "or do you wish him unable to do his work!" She smiled sweetly at the chief engineer. "Your chair has been stripped of most of its ornaments, but you can still use it for the most basic things. If you need anything, call upon your guards, but no tricks commander. Trick us, and you shall find yourself confined to this cell once more."

Receiving the orders from his instructor, Daya headed over to the console. The machanics of the console were old and most of them were worn out. "Can either of you make out any of this?" he asked his fellow cadets, while attempting to read some of Klingon writing. Most of it he could not read, but a few words struck out at him. "system,.........display,............device, i cant figure out any of the others, any luck for you guys?" he asked once more.

OFF: i was told by someone in authority that my posts arent quite long enough i guess, so i decided to add a little history of me for y'all to read
While Daya was trying to comprehend the words written on the console, his mind faded into his past. The smells of the clean mountain air, mixed with the smell of livestock brought him back to his home in Montana of the Americas.
He rembered walking along a stream on the peice of land owned by his family, he didnt come from a rich family, but they had enough money to get along and stay healthy.
One day he remebered with both happiness and resentment, was the day before he left for the academy. He was walking with a friend of his, whom he had had feelings towards for a most of his life. Her smile was always lifting his spirits when he was gloomy.
The last thing he said to her was " Good bye" He didnt have the courage to tell her how he felt, and he never got the chance. He later found out she died, or at least thats what he was told by the Klingons who helped raise him from time to time during his trips to space.
His father was a good friend of the captain of a Klingon ship, and they brought him along for many trips. He also learnt a few of their fighting techniques and could even stand to eat most of the food.
Daya smiled as he remebered defeating the First Officer in an eating contest when he was only 16 years old. He was hoisted up in his chair by half the crew and carried around the ship.
Coming back to reality, Daya looked at the other cadets, then went back to working on the dusty and damaged console, the smell of mountain air still on his mind.

Savali sent them off to assess the tactical status of the ship. Daya eagerly jumped to the nearest station and began to try to translate the system linguistics, after a while his eyes glazed over as it he was day-dreaming and Akleth whacked him in the back to get him back to work.
"Daya, this console is what used to display power control to the cloaking device." He said pointing to a few words across the console. "Assess how much damage was done to it. Write it down." Akleth grabbed a Klingon PADD, and Daya gave him a skeptical look. The Klingon was actually surprised at how much attitude the cadet was giving, most just said yessir and never looked at him. This one wasn't afraid.
"Yes, I said write it down, Mr. Daya. Unlike ship consoles you can change the language on a PADD. Write down what you find on each system, and if you can't fix it, move onto the next. Shout if you need a translation."
<Tag:Daya>
"Cadet Nokomis, I want you and Hannides to find the weapons lockers. They've probably been completely emptied but we're doing this the right way. If there is any weapons, take them out and start handing them out. But if the romulans were smart there won't be anything in there. Move."
<tag: Nokomis and Hannides>
The two moved out of the room and Akleth started assessing the shields. It didn't look good.

Parson began roaming the engine room, trying to find relevant equipment, data, anything. While Kirk and the Commander made there way up a service ladder, something caught Cadet Parson's eyes. A large module seemingly removed from the port side of the aging warp core, now dead and dark with the ceasation of antimatter reactions. he called out, "Lietenant Bates, I've found something!"
The Lietenant strode over to see what Parson was talking about. "See that lietenant...it looks like the injector module. I figure they purged the antimatter supplies, used a computer lock out to shut off containment controls, and then tried to remove the injectors...but It looks like a rush job, these injectors are intact. Lucky for us the Romulans aren't exactly the smash and grab type. They were probably in a hurry."
The lietenant seemed to be turning Parson's words over in his head. Parson continued. "If we get these injectors reinstalled, power up containment with nothing but emergency power, and somehow redirect spare tritium and antitritium reserves from the impulse engines...we'll have done one heck of a magic trick, and we might just have this bird back online."
Before the Lieutenant could respond to Parson, Cadet Kirk was rushing out of engineering. "Where are you off too cadet?" He asked.
"The Commander needs me to locate Akleth, he's the only person on board fluent in Klingon."
"Good, good. Make sure you find him as soon as possible. We'll need him to figure out these computer lock outs." The Lieutenant replied.

Kirk smiled and pushed on his Com Badge, nothing. He tried it again with the same results.
"Looks like I am going to have to do this the old fashioned way."
Kirk left the computer core and ran down the corridor, slide down the stares back onto Main Engineering.
"Aye Sir." Kirk said leaving engineering in a flash.
When Kirk entered the bridge he was met with a much more pleasing view of the bridge. Commander Savali giving orders, cadets working on stations, there were no more people laying on the floor fighting to regain consciousness. Then the smell hit him, it was over powering.
Commander Harash-Kyat was right. Kirk thought, follow the smell. Kirk was glad at least the engine room had the smell of an engine room and not the sweat, and blood smell of the bridge.
Spotting Commander Akleth Kirk walked over and got the Klingon's attention.
"Commander Akleth," Kirk said with a strong voice, "We require you in the main computer core and main engineering. We believe we can get main power back online, and get the engines fired up as well but we need your help in translation. Lt. Bates also suggested your would be a good officer of to have around to help us crack the lock out codes."
Kirk must have been speaking a bit loud because it seemed all eyes were on him and all ears on his conversation. Kirk quickly look around and noticed how small the bridge actually was and upon making eye contact with other people on the bridge they began to go back to work. Commander Savali overhear the conversation and started to come over, he look like he wanted to hear solid progress.

While he was trying to keep the idea of his daughter being held by some Romulan scum out of his mind, he overheard cadet Kirk requesting Akleth to translate some text on the consoles in Engineering.
"Ah, cadet Kirk", he said to the cadet as he went over to join him
"How's it going down in engineering?", Felix asked

"I see, well perhaps I might be able to help you out", Felix said
"Commander Akleth needs to stay here and get the weapons system back on line, so I will go down and help you translate what you need.", he said
It will help me keep my mind of Amilea he thought as he resumed speaking.
"I just so happen to know Klingon", he added
"Commander Akleth, you have the bridge", he said while thinking - at least what's left of it -

"I'll be down in engineering, contact me if you discover anything or get something working.", Felix said as he turned to Kirk

"Daya, this console is what used to display power control to the cloaking device, Assess how much damage was done to it. Write it down"
Daya looked at his instructor for a moment, who must have seen something in his eyes, becuase he added "Yes, I said write it down, Mr. Daya. Unlike ship consoles you can change the language on a PADD. Write down what you find on each system, and if you can't fix it, move onto the next. Shout if you need a translation."
"Aye sir" Daya said as he started working on the console. Typing in a few words of note here and there on his PADD, Daya soon had one of the many systems assessed. Moving on to the next, it just seemed to get worse. "This is gonna take a while" he said to himself, hoping no one heard him
Whenever he found a word he did not know, he would make a note of it and skip to the next system. Soon he had a large hand full of words, and only one or two more systems fully assessed.
Walking over to Commander Akleth, he waited patiently for him to acknowledge his being there. " I dont know if any of the systems are operational or not just yet sir, we dont have power to the ship. I do however have a few words i am not fully aware of. This one for instance, i'm not sure if its "coil" or "cord". And this one, i dont think i've seen this one in a few years, i cant make out the last few symbols to it"
<Tag Akleth>
After getting the translations for the words he went back to work. Once again lost in his work, he found a few more words, and assessed most of the systems. " I need power to make sure most of this right, i dont know for sure if anything i am doing is right." His frustration for lack of power soon was evident on his face, he frowned more and more as the time passed.

Mike Bates came over and examined the injectors. "You're right. Looks like they just shut and locked down the system and just pulled the injector out of place. Not a very thorough sabotage job, now is it?"
He felt the side of the reaction chamber, it was calm and cool. "Though I don't think the reaction is that dead, not yet anyway."
"What makes you say that, sir?" Parson asked, looking between the core and Bates.
"Well, if you think about it, we were at Warp when we were attacked and boarded. Which means this ship was as well. I'm not sure how long we were out, but gauging how fresh our disruptor wounds seemed to be, I'd say it was less than an hour. I'd say there's probably still some juice left in it. Let's try and reconnect this injector, and go from there."
As they attempted to manually reconnect the injector, the door to Engineering opened once more. A man in a red uniform, bearing the rank of Commander walked in behind Cadet Kirk. Based on the red uniform, he had to be the First Officer.
Mike gave it the injector one last push, securing it in place. He let go, coming over. "Hi there," Bates said. "You must be the First Officer."
The man looked him over, probably a little worried at the ghostly appearance of Mike's skin in the low light. "Yes, Commander Felix Savali. May I ask who you are?"
"Lieutenant Mike Bates. I guess you could say I'm your Acting Chief Engineer," Mike said. Looking at the grim on his hands from the somewhat dirty injector, he wiped them off on his pant leg.
"And what makes you Acting Chief Engineer, Mr. Bates?" Savali said, looking him up and down, noticing the dirt.
"Because Commander Bates is nowhere to be found, and I was the Assistant Chief Engineer of the Hanson. In his absence, I thought it only logical that I assume the role."
--------------------------------In Sickbay------------------------------
Jason was busy looking around the rather ill-stocked Sickbay, when he heard footsteps. Turning, he saw Rachel and Matai walk into their new Sickbay.
Rachel looked around, noticing the bare look of the place, and the dirty state. "Don't tell me this is Sickbay," she said, touching the wall, and pulled away from the dirt quickly.
"Unfortunately it is," Jason said. "The Klingons don't have much use for Sickbays out in space, as they believe it more honorable to die on the battlefield or at their posts. Not to mention the fact that Klingon medicine was dismal a hundred years ago, which probably about when this ship was built. We aren't without instruments though," Jason said sarcastically, holding up the curved serated scalpel he found earlier.
"Let's just hope we don't have many medical emergencies," Rachel said, shuddering at the sight of the scalpel.
"I'm hoping we don't have any," Jason said, as he put the scalpel back down.

"Well sir things could actually be worst. It seems that the Romulans were in a bit of a hurry when they left us here, so they did not get a chance to make this ship a total death trap." Commander Harash-Kyat and I believe we have found the computer core and Cadet Parson is working hard with Lt. Bates trying to get the engines back online."
"Lt. Bates?" Commander Savali said under his breath.
Commander Savali addressed Commander Akleth and as soon as he was done the turned to Cadet Kirk and said,
"Aye Sir." Kirk replied.
Kirk left the bridge and headed towards engineering with Commander Savali right behind him. The walk was quiet and a bit nerve racking for Kirk since he knew the situation well and he could understand the pressure Commander Savali was under to get this crew back on board the Hanson.
Walking up to the door to engineering Kirk pushed onto the door console and opened the door.
"And here we are Commander." Kirk said.
Walking into the room Kirk noticed that Lt. Bates took special notice of Commander Savali walking in right behind him. Lt. Bates walked up and introduced himself and extended his hand for Commander Savali to shake. The two engaged in conversation as Kirk started towards the ladder to climb up to the next deck to join Commander Harash-Kyat. Kirk stopped when the conversation stopped to a halt.
"Commander, I am going up to the next deck. " Kirk said pointing to the ladder, " I need to inform Commander Harash-Kyat that you are here to help us out with translations."
<Tag Commander Savali>
Kirk climbed up the ladder and quickly joined Commander Harash-Kyat.
"Where might our translator be?" Commander Harash-Kyat asked Kirk as he walked into the computer room.
"Commander Savali is down in engineering talking with Lt. Bates, he should be up here in a moment. How are things coming in here?"

~~~~~~~I'm going to put responding in 3 posts~~~~~~~~ S'reena had heard voices outside her quarters and rose to her feet to face whoever was coming to visit her. By now, the guards had icily informed her that her family would not be coming home, and that most of her command codes had been revoked, specifically those requesting site to site transport, and access to the replicator. Of course, she could still order food if she needed to, but otherwise she was pretty much restricted in everything. A young female cadet entered her quarters. S'reena nodded stoically. Naturally, she did mind because she hadn't even been told what the exact charges were. And here came this cadet who thought to ask questions, when she herself didn't even know the answers. "Ask away, but I doubt I can be of much help," she said coldly, "I am arrested, but I have not seen any specific charges other than espionage. And who exactly would I have been spying for, I ask you!" <Nokomis> Ariennye look into the first officers eyes with steady gaze ariennye smiled then speaking believe me i am sure little infomation can help with this puzzle my first question do you have any enemys or had any conflicts with anyone? an if so tell me of whom an where an when an what it was about. what is your relationship with the romulans an with starfleet? an can you tell me why anyone would believe you to be a spy?
Michael moaned as he scrambled to his feet, and as a result bumped his head on a console he'd apparently be lying under. "Bridge?" he murmured groggily, "how did I get on the bridge?" He reached up and made a face when his hand connected with the grimy layer on the console he was under. "When was the last time the bridge was cleaned?" he wondered aloud, as he pulled himself up. He winced as he got to his feet, and gingerly probed the area where the stun beam had hit him. "The children!" he suddenly exclaimed. He nearly toppled over as he suddenly straightened up, and the scene before him went spinning. "Where are we?" he asked nobody in particular. As his vision cleared and the fog in his mind lifted, he noticed that they were no longer on the Hanson, and both his daughters were missing. "Kahlan!" he yelled, breaking into a run - as far as running is possible - feeling his feet slither through the grime on the deck, "Yarna!" At last he caught sight of Commander Savali. "Commander, have you seen my daughters?" He looked around desperately, "has anyone seen my girls? And my wife?" He sought support on Felix as he threatened to lose his balance once more. "Please, has anyone seen my girls?" ~~ On the Hanson ~~ The Romulan guard gazed down at the disabled human in disdain. "You demand?" he huffed, "you are in no position to demand anything. Now be quiet, before I give you a hand in doing so!" The guard turned to the occupant in the cell beside him "Ah finally you're waking up." He turned to a figure who was standing in the shadows of the holding area. "She's waking up commander, you can talk to her now." S'reena Hope moved out of the shadows, but her whole bodylanguage showed that she'd rather be elsewhere. Arrhae had given her the choice to join them, or be killed as a spy. S'reena had opted to join them, and not just to avoid death, but because at that time she felt she had to, to get her revenge. Now, however she was not as pleased as she was before; she still wanted revenge.....but differently. "The ship has been taken over by Romulans," S'reena stated quietly, "you and Mr Bates are now prisoners of the Romulan Empire." occ: um are you talking about me or someone else? an if i am the one can ya tell me how many are on in here an what type of weapons they have an what my condition is?
OFF ok cadet, We( ALL the cadets and instructors, except for Admiral McCormick and Commander Bates from engineering), have been beamed over to a Klingon ship, after being knocked out by federation phasers stolen by Romulans. The only ones left on the Hanson, would be the Admiral, CEO, and the children.
take it from there.
T'Brel and Commander Gordon had been working on the navigational controls for the last couple of hours. They couldn't make heads or tails of the information. There Klingon collegue was busy doing other more things.
"Commander what are we trying to do here exactly?" T'Brel asked
<Tag Gordon>
After hearing Gordon's explaination T'Brel felt a little better about their situation, but not much. T'Brel then just quickly went to work on the systems. For a brief moment T'Brel thought that he had fixed the navigational systems for a second, but they turned off quickly after. T'Brel was starting to loose patience with this ship. It was bad enough that they were boarded and transported off thier ship, but that they couldn't do anything about it.
By now everyone had heard that not all of the crew of the Hanson were aboard. Commander Hope and her children were not onboard the Klingon ship. T'Brel didn't know if anyone else was onboard and frankly at that moment he didn't care at the moment. This damned ship wouldn't be easy to fix, which angered him even more.
"Your chair has been stripped of most of its ornaments, but you can still use it for the most basic things. If you need anything, call upon your guards, but no tricks commander. Trick us, and you shall find yourself confined to this cell once more." The treacherous sweet smile was almost sickening. He managed to keep straight face though.
Looking done at his chair, he realized that "stripped" only began to describe it. The panels used for controlling the transporter and stair-climber had been smashed, and the PADD used for programming the site-to-site was missing as well. He'd need a tricorder to determine whether the transporter itself was intact.
He reached the lip of the cell, but couldnt seem to get his chair over the obstruction. He turned to the guards, deciding to see how much they would help him. "Would you mind helping me over this?"
With a look of disdain, as they probably saw requests for help as a sign of weakness, they roughly pushed him over the obstruction. "I said gently!" Hope hissed at them.
"No harm done," he said, and rolled himself out of the Brig, with his guards following closely behind. He winced slightly at a dull pain in his muscles, which were still sensitive from where he was shot. He rolled into the turbolift, and rotated the chair around to face the door as the guards stepped in. "Deck 11," he called, and the doors closed.
He thought about the radiation problems they were having, but decided against doing something about it. The rest of the crew had to have been beamed to a Romulan ship, which meant that it would have a cloak. Although that ship would probably have been disabled before the Romulans dumped the crew on it, they would repair it and come after the Hanson. If/when they got here, if the cloak was repaired, that proverbial blind spot would come in handy.
When he arrived in Engineering, a rather stern-, but slightly bored-, looking Romulan was standing in the middle of the room, looking around at the other Romulans present. 3 others were at various stations throughout the room. Bates rolled toward him. The Romulan looked at him in disgust, a Centurion if Bates remembered Romulan rank insignia correctly. "And who is this weakling?" he said, staring down at Bates.
"He is their Chief Engineer. The Traitor sent him here to run Engineering. We were told to keep an eye on him," one of the guards said.
"As long as they don't get in my way!" Bates said, and rolled towards the Chief Engineer's station. "A little help, gentleman?" he said, turning his head as he reached the base higher level of his station.
-----------ON THE HANSON----------
"I'm sorry admiral," S’reena whispered, certain that they would be overheard if she spoke up, "I have little choice in the matter. All I can do now to ensure your safety is to make sure they believe I am on their side." She swallowed visibly as if she was loathing injecting the admiral with the painkillers. "They are holding my children. Their commander said so and I can't see them. She claims to have killed my husband."
The hypo S’reena administered did help. Immediately, Karynn felt a greater range of motion as the pain in her abdomen ebbed. Though she was thankful for the relief, she stared coldly into S’reena’s face.
“You’ll have to forgive me if I find you difficult to trust,” was McCormick’s icy reply.
Hope’s eyes narrowed. “Humans are so weak,” she spat and turned sharply on her heel, leaving Karynn alone in her cell.
It had seemed impossible that S’reena Hope would be part and parcel to espionage just a few short hours ago. Now, all that McCormick had read in the arrest report seemed to ring true. The Commander had been accused of contacting a known Romulan double agent. Though the details had been scant and based mostly on hearsay, Karynn was now beginning to see them as valid. How else was it possible for them to overtake the Hanson so efficiently if it were not for someone helping them on the inside? She chided herself for being so naïve. She had missed S’reena’s treachery and had blindly believed her to be innocent.
Commander Hope left the brig area and McCormick had only the Romulan guards as company. They took turns leering at her, smiling sickeningly. She began a game of staring down her captors until one of them grew jittery and broke his gaze. Karynn smiled. It wasn’t much of a triumph, but it bolstered her mood nonetheless.
Time passed slowly. Karynn began pacing her cell; twenty-five steps to each opposing wall. Eventually, the painkilling attributes of the hypo wore off and she again felt the stiffness of sore muscles protesting her every move. In spite of the pain, she continued her pacing.
Suddenly, a new Romulan face appeared at her cell door. She nodded for the guard to lower the forcefield. With disruptor raised and aimed squarely at Karynn, she snarled, “Subcommander Tr'Ellian has ordered you to be interrogated. You will come with me.”
"what are we supposed to be doing here?" asked cadet T'Brel
"Well we need to assess the status of the Navigational systems on this ship. Since we appear to be adrift and running out of life support I think it would be wise of us to figure out the systems and get them running again. I also think that if the Romulans were certain that they could pull off this mission of theirs that they would have physically damaged these panels, and since they are all intact just not powered up I think it most likely that once we find the sabotaged controls between here and main Engineering that we will be able to move this hunk of junk."
Stepping to the side I looked at the panel closer and a little twisted. Looking for a logical pattern to the controls and not individual controls as I had been focusing on earlier. All at once the light seemed to turn on in my head.
"Cadet, look at the panel from an overall aspect and tell me what you see. Then using what you see could you fly this ship if we had the power to do so?
"Well Mr. Bates alto I have no way of confirming if what you are saying is the truth, and we do need all the help we can get, feel free to continue using the Acting Chief Engineer title. So now that we got that out of the way, why don't you get down to work and get this old bucket fixed up.", Felix said forcing a smile
"I'll be there right away cadet", Felix told Kirk as he left to join Harash-kyat
"I'll be with commander Harash-kyat so if you need anything translated feel free to call me", Felix said as he followed Kirk
When he got up to the place which appeared to be the computer core, he found Harash-kyat looking it over.
"Well commander here I am"; Felix said
"What can I do to help", he asked
While he was thinking that this old ship has seen better days and if they got it flying again it would be a miracle. Just another item to add to their account when I get my hands on them, he thought thinking how the Romulans would pay for their actions. And one to add to that treacherous Romulan Cmdr. Hope no not commander, he thought, not anymore now she was a spy and calling her a commander would be a disgrace for Starfleet. Shaking those thoughts from his head he looked at commander Harash-kyat and cadet Kirk waiting for their instructions on what to translate.
occ: ariennye was with ex first officer S’reena asking question why was ariennye not taking with the others becuase it does not make sense unless she did not getting the answers or she was called back to her station or something of sort i think i miss something or did you all jump gun an leave me in the dust?
cadet ariennye still trying to put the puzzle togerther in her head well while she was doing her job in security checking to see if there any leads as to how they got on the was through ex fo S’reena. but its rather odd that a starfleet officer who thought highly of was now behind this mess but was because the romulans had something on her or was she really into mess an started it to begin with? her thoughts wonder every sense she lost her mother an father she lost her edge an her confindace in her own abilitys i can't believe i had let all of this happen i am a security cadet officer i am not suppose to let this happen on the ship mom an dad must be real proud sense i fail them an crew she frown at this as her mood seem to darken ariennnye thought to herself again no stop you don't time dount yourself everyone is counting me to pull through an going not only do this for your crew an mother an father an yourself you are a security cadet act like an just like that the thought went back solving mystery an her dark mood lifted off she look rather determined to get the missing crew back an solve the mystery that was before her.
Arrhae waited impatiently in the Hanson's readyroom for the guards to bring in their most important prisoner. To her, it seemed as if the lowly guards were taking exceptionally long to bring her.
At last, they arrived, dragging the flag officer none too gently between them. Arrhae glared at them and they let her go instantly. "My apollogies admiral for the rough handly, I assure you that they had orders to treat you with respect due your rank." She beckoned towards the seat on the opposite side of the desk. "Please, sit. Now...I am sure that you know why you were brought here. No, there's no need to look for a way out, the moment you try to escapte they will kill you. We don't want that to happen, now do we? What would we tell your family? I understand your daughter served on this vessel."
Arrhae paused to get a drink from the replicator and set down again, not offering McCormick a drink at first. She watched the older woman's response and narrowed her eyes. "Oh how rude of me," she mock exclaimed, pretending to have forgotten courtesy, "can I offer you something to drink?" Arrhae knew perfectly well that it was extremely rude in Romulan custom to eat while one had guests, and not offer them anything.
Setting the mug of coffee before the flag officer anyway, she sat back down. "Where was this ship headed, and why was it straying towards Romulan space?" Arrhae started, "and why is a flag admiral in command of a group of children? Adding to that, why were there Romulans aboard? Surely you were going to extradite these traitors to the Empire, were you not?"
The Romulan subcommander watched the former first officer, who was standing quietly and still unnoticed in a corner of the readyroom, looking as if she were about to give an agry retort. Arrhae shot a glare at her, and returned her attention to the admiral. "Answer my questions admiral, and I will make sure that your little crew will remain alive. Don't answer, and the first to be killed is that chief engineer of yours. I can't imagine that he's very useful."
At that point, S'reena left the readyroom, seething with anger. She knew she had done right to join her kindred, but she wasn't so sure about how things were turning out. "I am going to check on the human engineer," she announced, and disappeared into a turbolift. "Engineering," she ordered.
Walking into engineering, she spotted the metallic frame of the wheelchair easily. "Have you managed to fix the warp drive yet human?" she said harsly, glaring warily at the guards that never left his side. "These are a few repairs that also need to be done, make sure that they are done before alpha shift time is over."
S'reena handed Bates a PADD, and gave him a hard stare, activating a hidden message unbeknownst to the Romulans. The message was keyed to delete itself after it had been read, telling Bates to make sure that the Hanson would never exceed warp three due to some unforseen problems that could not easily be fixed.
OFF: Cadet Nokomis is not on the Hanson, we're just sorting that out now.
ON: Akleth had his head in the main body of the disruptor flow console. It seems the Romulans had rather unceremoniously severed almost all the flow conduits and power wires. He was doing his best to reconnect them.
"Commander Akleth." The klingon smashed his head forcefully against the lip of the opening. Akleth growled and pushed himself out of the console. The cadet who had suprised him kept talking.
"We require you in the main computer core and main engineering. We believe we can get main power back online, and get the engines fired up as well but we need your help in translation. Lt. Bates also suggested your would be a good officer of to have around to help us crack the lock out codes."
Akleth was about to reluctantly agree when Savali came over and said he would go in Akleth's place. Akleth was very suprised when the first officer said he spoke klingon. But then again it seemed that human's speaking klingon was no longer as rare as it used to be.
"Commander Akleth, you have the bridge." Savali gave a distainful look around before following Kirk out the door.
Soon Daya approuched him with a list of words he did not know, " I dont know if any of the systems are operational or not just yet sir, we dont have power to the ship. I do however have a few words I am not fully aware of. This one for instance, i'm not sure if its "coil" or "cord". And this one, i dont think i've seen this one in a few years, i cant make out the last few symbols to it."
Akleth pointed to the first one, "Makg means coil." He continued to translate as Daya hurriedly took down definitions, "And this last one is connect."
"Thank you, commander." Daya said writing the last one down and then returning to his work.
Akleth continued to work as well then heard Daya say something about the lack of power.
"We have to leave that up to engineering. But I doubt it'll be anytime soon. Kahless knows starfleets take the complicated route far to often." Then he let out a gruff laugh and returned to his work. He glanced over at the navigation station.
Gordon and T'brel seemed to be struggling to repair their station.
"Commander Gordon." He said in a deep voice walking over to them.
"Yes, Mr. Akleth?"
"You and your cadet are attempting to merge two separate systems together. Was that your intention?" T'brel gave him a questioning look, "You have connected the computer information feed from ops into the console control processor. You need to connect it here." He went under the console and pulled the wire out and connected it deeper inside at a different port.
"Had the power come back up when it was like that it would have exploded."
<TAG: T'brel and Gordon>
"Very well." Akleth turned and went toward Daya. "Cadet I want you to concentrate on the cloak and the weapons. Although we don't have power do the best you can. We want to get everything running as soon as possible." Akleth returned to the disruptor console and continued the reconnections.
OFF: Cadet nokomis and Hannides- have you found the weapons locker yet?
When Commander Akleth told Daya to start working on the cloak and weapons, he frowned slightly. Only a few moments ago he had been shocked by some of the wireing while working on the cloaking system.
" This'll be fun" he said in a low sarcastic tone to himself. He then put the PADD he had in his hands down and picked up a different one. taking a quick scan over it, he looked over the wires and the console. Just as he was working on the wires, and idea struck him.
"Commander Akleth, permission to go to engineering"
" For what reason" his Klingon instructor asked, " I would like to see if they can make me a power tester, maybe something with a power source to let me know if my wires are correct"
ooc: this one's as Michael........
Michael glared at the acting first officer, and his cheeks coloured a darker shade of red. "I don't believe for one second that my wife is a spy," he spat, "and she would never hurt our children, or yours for that matter. I am certain that she is doing everything she can and must do to keep them safe, whether she likes doing it or not."
He continued to glare, but no longer at Savali. Instead, his gazed was fixed on the wall just beyond Savali's shoulder. "My marriage may be showing some tears, but she would never betray us. She may give the impression, but she never would consciously. You don't know my wife Mr Savali, and don't you dare saying that you do!"
The gynaecologist turned on his heels and stomped away angrily. His anger was forgotten when he heard a scream. Racing forward, slipping his feet on the grimy floor and finally landing flat on his face on the deck, he got to the source of the scream. On the deck lay a young woman, by the looks of things in the second term of gestation, and blood oozed from a headwound and a bad wound in her side.
Closeby stood Cadet Kirk. "You there, cadet, assist me in getting her to sickbay. We must be extremely cautious, she may be bleeding internally, but I don't trust this Klingon bucket of bolts for one minute and I don't dare use the transporters, if they are at all online!"
Together they took the young woman to sickbay. "Jason!" Michael yelled, "Jason! Get in here, quick! Human female, approximately twenty-eight, assuming seven months pregnant. Severely injured by an exploding conduit."
Michael turned to Kirk. "Thank you cadet, please carry on with your duties."
Noah read the hidden message, and gave an almost inperceptible nod in response. Seemed that she was still on his side, though he would remain on his guard, just in case she tried to use any trust on his part against him.
"Whether I can accomplish the repairs depends on how many systems are damaged. The warp drive is just about repaired, but I still have a few things to do for it." He said, tapping the PADD ever so slightly. "Though I have no proof your cronies didn't sabotage systems, thereby lengthening repair time and giving you an excuse to kill me," he said, glaring at him.
She turned on her heel, and stalked away. Noah turned to a guard. "Get me a tricorder."
The guard cocked his head. "What for?" he nearly demanded.
"So I can check just how much damage you and your comrades did to my chair," Noah shot back.
The Romulan snorted and gestured for his companion to do it. It was clear which was in charge. The subordinate returned a moment later, holding out the tricorder. Noah scanned the chair. As he suspected, the transporter itself was intact, though its control were damaged. Hiding these results, he closed the tricorder, shook his head and sighed. "Barbarians" he said under his breath.
He went over to one of his stations, the one concerning the Warp systems. Hoping the guards weren't realizing what he was doing, which he doubted considering they were probably lackey security guards with no real technical knowledge, he accessed Navigational control, and spliced a file that instructed the Computer never to let the ship exceed Warp 3 no matter what the Helm instruction was. He also encrypted the file with 3 layers of recursive algorithms, so that the code would never be accessible, hiding what he did.
Cadet Parson was just finishing the flow regulator check and reinstall of the port injector when Lieutenant bates approached him. "How goes the repair, Cadet?"
"Ah, it looks good so far sir. I think you were right, there is antimatter left in system. Now that the injectors are in place, all we need to do is return power to the antimatter containment fields, some how get the flow restarted, and fire it back up."
"I agree Cadet. But we'll need to translate these interfaces to even begin that process."
"I know sir, I know. But I remember something from training. A friend had a bit of a...thing, for Klingon Bird's of Prey. Pretty much his favorite ship around, and he would go on about it's systems for hours. Anyhow, the impulse and warp drive uses a tritium antritium share system, because of the size and proximity of the two engines. When they dumped matter from the impulse drives, the interlocks would have cut fuel off for both systems, to prevent flow loss in the warp engines, resulting in an unstable reaction and core failure. Chances are, that knocked out the containment fields as well. Klingon ships are notorious for being very rugged, but when something goes down, it's pretty much dead."
" Unless...you can find the manuel overide, which should be in a service passage somewhere... " The Lieutenant said, sharing in Parson's revelation.
"...Above the warp core," Parson said, finishing the Lieutenant's thought, "What do you say sir? Shall we go for a walk?"
"More like a crawl, Cadet."
