"Report!" Tony requested loudly as he marched onto the bridge, clean shaven and in a crisp new uniform.
"We have recieved 90% of our supplies, the engineers report that they're going over a few more systems, and sickbay says once they get the rest of their requested supplies they'll be set." Answered S'reena, who had beaten him to the bridge.
"Good, please have all cadets report in.
S'reena nodded and tapped her combadge, " All cadets report to their instructors. Helm officers to Lt. Gordan. Operations to Cmdr. Blayne. Medical cadets to Lt. Black. Get a move on."
"That should get them in a panic, S'reena." Tony said with a little chuckle.
"Alway got to put a little pressure on them." She said smiling, sitting back down.

Running through a few of the final pre-flight checks at the Helm I couldn't help but look back over my shoulder and chuckle at the Captain's cadet panic remark.
Talking to the Captain but looking more at First Officer "Well Sir, it could be worse."
"Hows that Mr. Gordon?" The Captain replied with a grin.
"I could have been in charge of two cadets." I replied with a grin of my own and a wink towards S'reena.

(O.O.C Just tell me if I should have created a "Sick bay" Thread for this and I will)
Melain rushed into Sick bay still pinning up her hair. So far this had not been a very good training experiance. Certainly she had been very excited to learn her ship was leaving, and had eagerly packed her things and moved into her "Hanson" Quarters, but then things took a turn for the worse. The way worse. She bumped into her roomate while carrying her bags into the room and looked up to see... the grey and long necked Danara, looking down on her with an equaly shocked, equaly upset look on her face. How could Starfleet have made sucha blunder as placing a Bajoran and a Cardassian in the same room! If things weren't already bad enough Danara had already laid claim to the bottom bunk and no amount of begging and pleading would make her relinquish it. When Melain tried to set up her Prophet Shrine Danara insisted she needed that corner for her own things and Melain was left placing the tablets and candles on the top of her dresser. How would they possiby be able to get along if everything Melain did was compramised by typical Cardassian agression! By the time The Captain sent out his orders she had not even unpacked her things yet. She would have to speak to someone about this and see if this could be changed.
"Cadet Lorre Melain reporting for duty sir." She stood at attention, her hair finaly pulled back.

Owen had just arrived in his quarters when he heard a call over the comm system. [All cadets report to their instructors. Helm officers to Lt. Gordan. Operations to Cmdr. Blayne. Medical cadets to Lt. Black. Get a move on.] The call sounded urgent so Owen thought that he should hurry along.
"Computer, what is the current location of Cmdr. Blayne?"
[Cmdr. Blayne is in the Counsellor's office] came the reply. ~Oh great, now what's the quickest way to get there?~ he thought to himself as he rushed out into the corridor.
*5 minutes later* Owen had finally found his way to the Counsellor's office. The first turbolift he had gone to appeared to be broken, and when he had finally gotten a turbolift that worked he had gone to engineering instead. ~Good first impression Owen.~ he scolded himself as he pressed the notification button on the Counsellor's door.
"Come in." came the reply from within as the doors opened and Owen entered. "Operations Cadet Owen Johnson reporting for duty sir."
<OOC: nice post Cadet Lorre. You've done this before haven't you.>

S'reena smiled. "Yes commander, that was a possebility, however Cadet Johnson chose last minute to go for OPS instead of navigation. You are a very fortunate man Mr Gordon."
She turned to Marcell. "A bit unfair is it not, to instantly call the cadets to their stations. I am rather feeling a tad sorry for Commander Blayne. He is stuck with teaching OPS while actually he is a counselor. Speaking of which, please remind me to make an appointment with him..." At the captain's nod, she gazed forward.
"What exactly do we know of these Cragarans?" she whispered, "they aren's xenophobic towards our species are they?" With 'our' she referred to the Klingon and the Romulan species. Neither were very popular within the universe.
ooc: no Ms Lorre...all posts are made on this thread...so that we can keep a certain chronology. No need to make a separate sickbay thread. You are, however, welcome to call each and all of us to sickbay for compulsary physicals;) *something none of us like*

Frek cursed. He had finally settled in a bit in the station guest quarters when the order came to move to the Hanson. With his arm full of his belongings and some bags dangling down his shoulders he stumbled his away across the Hanson’s corridors. He finally made it to his assigned quarters. He carefully tried to push the button to open the door. It couldn’t be done. Too much stuff in his hands. Slowly he bent through his knees and aimed his left antenna at the button. He gave a gentle nod with his head towards the door. A clear chime sounded as the antenna hit the button and the door slit open, revealing the interior of his home for the next few weeks. “Lights,” he ordered the ships computer. Immediately the lights went on. Frek gave the place a quick glance. Didn’t differ too much from the accommodations on the Conqueror. He let out a sigh of relief. Finally he could his things down. His arms started to hurt.
Suddenly, out of the blue, the intercom sounded at an annoyingly high level. The unexpected outburst of sound almost gave him a stroke. A startled Frek let out some words Andorian parents normally don’t teach there children as he dropped his armload of bags, packs and rags. “Computer, lower sound level,” he screamed to top the intercom.
He gave himself a quick look in the mirror. Tried to flatten his hair as it was pointing in all directions and straightened his uniform. Right, he thought, report to Lieutenant Gordon. He rushed back to the turbo lift that brought him to this deck. “Turbolift currently out of order,” the computer informed him politely. “What!” Frek yelled, “The bloody thing was working alright five seconds ago!” “Unable to comply,” the computer replied.
A little yellow dot showed Frek’s position as he studied a wall panel showing the deck plans. Frek groaned, the other turbolift was at the other and of the ship! At least that was how it seemed to him. He memorized the route as best as he could and hastened himself through the corridors. “Excuse me…” someone said, coming out of a corridor to his left. “Don’t have time,” Frek snapped as he passed him, “Must get to the bridge!” The surprised crewman gazed at the direction in which the cadet disappeared. He shook his head and continued his way. “Andorians…”
Frek had the turbolift in sight. Almost there, he thought to himself, almost there. To his dismay the doors were starting to close as he raced towards them. “No!” he cried out, “Hold that lift!” With his last strength Frek took a gigantic leap and plunged through the small opening the closing door had left. “You okay?” a concerned voice inquired. Frek looked up from the floor where he crashed. A roundish, blue, Bolian face peered over him. “Yeah, I’m alright,” Frek uttered as he gasped for air, “By the way, nice tan”
As the lift came to a halt on the bridge Frek felt somewhat better again. At least he could stand up and breath normally again. Unfortunately, his journey to the bridge didn’t do his earlier straighten uniform much good and his hair was sticking out in all directions again. Better not to make a habit out of this, Frek muttered to himself. He still remembered how he had arrived on the Conqueror.
He cleared his throat and entered the bridge. “Lt. Gordon?” he inquired at an officer in command colours and lieutenant pips on his collar. The officer in question turned around. “Cadet Frek Thelev reporting for duty sir!” Frek said.

YrDis was finishing up a simulation on the holodeck when his order to report came through. Since he had heard that he would be helping to train an Operations cadet, he had been simulating some scenarios in order to reacquaint himself with the position.
He had received the same training all Starfleet officers had for Ops, and had even done some time at the position when the person who'd had the position aboard his last ship had been injured during an unexpected particle storm. Unfortunately, it had been a long time.
He had done several simulations, and things were coming back. It was time to go now, though. YrDis stepped off of the holodeck and made his way to the bridge.

(OOC: Lorre, heres a drawing of Sickbay so that you know what the place looks like: www.grms.fsnet.co.uk/ship/stm_sickbay.jpg)Jason rose from the chair is his Office and came to the Patient area of Sickbay. Mitchell and Matai, two female Medical Staff, smiled at the new trainee. Michael looked over, and smiled slightly, but returned to a patient he was tending. Jason: Welcome to Sickbay, Cadet. The Intrepid-Class boasts one of the most advanced Starship medical facilities. Now, lets have you meet some of our Medical Staff. This is our Chief Nurse, Rachel Mitchell, and Matai, one of our Medical Officers. Mitchell: Welcome aboard. Matai: Yes, welcome. Glad to see a Medical Cadet. Jason: And over there with the patient, is Dr Michael Hope, my Asst Chief Medical Officer. You may met him before briefly in the Holodeck. Michael: Welcome aboard, Cadet. Jason: I'll give you the tour. Here, we have the Treatment area. As you can see, we have 3 have three standard biobeds, and 1 surgical area. Spread throughout this room, and all of Sickbay, are about a half-dozen holo-emitters, providing our Emergency Medical Hologram. I have yet to use it, however. Follow me. Jason walked through to his Office. Jason: Here we have my Office. A large medical database is accessible from here. He then continued to the third room. A crewman was at a console. Jason: Here, we have the analysis area. Complex problems are usually worked out in here. This is Doug Ridge, one of our Medical Lab Technicians. Doug, this is our new Medical Cadet, Lorre Melain. Doug: Pleasure to meet ya. Jason: Any questions, Cadet?

(O.O.C Thank you, but Actualy I've never been on a sim like this before, I have been on several RPGs, Frek on the other hand seems to have quite a talent in this area. Thank you for that Link Jason, very helpful)
Melain had been half paying attention, half wondering what she would do about her roommate. "Hm? Oh, ah were is the medical database accesable?"
"In my office, I mentioned that already." Jason replied.
"Oh yes, sorry." She looked over to see the rest of the staff looking at her, nervously she glanced sideways into a reflective panel to see one of her pins had dropped out and half her hair was escpaping from her bun. She was not looking anything like the poster child of Starfleet. Nervously she fumbled with the pin and put it back together. "Hehe, bad morning." she laughed nervously. "You wouldn't happen to know were we are going would you?"

<OOC: Time to make my last post link to the new information.>
"Cadet Johnson you say, and your reporting for Ops training. Awfully sorry to have to tell you this but Cmdr. Blayne has been in the holodeck for the last five minutes, I think he said something about getting a refresher course. Anyway, the commander should be on the bridge by now." one of the counselling crew informed Owen.
~This is a really great day. It's going to look good on my record that I missed the Hepta departing and now I can't even report in in a fashionable manner.~
"Thankyou counsellor. Oh, while I'm here I really should arrange an appointment, I haven't seen my therapist since I left the Academy. But ... I've got to go report in, see you soon." he called as he started to rush over to the turbolift again.
*moments later* The turbolift opened up on the bridge and Owen made his way over to Ops, trying to pull off casual and nervous at the same time. When a few of the crew looked at him strangely, he decided that it really didn't work all that well.
"Cmdr. Blayne, Operations Cadet Owen Johnson reporting for duty" ~Again~

Swiveling the Helm chair around at the sound of my name I heard.
“Cadet Frek Thelev reporting for duty sir!”
Getting to my feet I offered my hand.
"Welcome aboard Cadet, I believe that this is your chair." I said with a smile as I stepped aside for the Cadet to take a seat at the console.
"Ok Mr. Thelev, I was just going through the pre-launch system diagnostics and everything checks out. Now I have set-up a simulation to test your ability to get us out of spacedock and underway without incident. I will evaluate your actions and give you some hints and any help that you might require. Do you have any questions?"
"None Sir" Came the somewhat hurried reply as the Andorain Cadet settled deeper into the chair and tried without success to settle down electrified looking hair.
"Very well, You may begin" I replied as I tapped the command key to begin the simulation.
"Very well, You may begin." I said as I took a knee beside

OFF: Excellent connective post, Owen! You HAVE simmed before!
ON: Sitting silently in his chair, Tony watched as cadets slowly arrived. Johnson had found Mr. Blayne, (who looked a little bit frazzled as Marcell had given him little warning as to his temporary department change) and they were doing introductions.
Frek had arrived fairly quickly, even though he looked as though he had struggled to do so. DJ had already started Thelev on a bit of automated helm training.
'Good,' Tony thought, 'They'll be ready when I give the order to leave starbase.'
"Commander S'reena." Tony said looking toward his first officer.
"Yes, captain?" she replied, looking up from a systems report from astrometrics.
"I'm heading down to sickbay to check on their status. Please inform me when engineering reports readiness." He stood, taking a step towards the turbolift.
"Will do." she said, looking back down at her PADD and giving a salute that made Tony smile a bit.
"You have the bridge."
~~~~~~Sickbay~~~~~~~~~
Tony stepped into sickbay to see Jason giving Melain the look. The one doctors give people when they know they're not completely listening. Tony had gotten that look alot.
He walked up to them and waited for an opening.
"Dr. Black, Cadet Melain." He said with a polite smile, it was the first time in a while he had seen these two out of their holodeck outfits.
"Captain." Jason said, inclining his head. "I was just giving Melain here the rundown on our sickbay."
"Are we about ready to leave, captain?" Melain asked, a little bit quiet. She obviously had something on her mind.
"Yes. Actually that's why I'm down here. " Marcell said to Melain and then turned to Black, "I was wondering if you received the last of your supplies?"
Jason: Well, yes. I have been informed of the mission plan. However, I'm not supposed to reveal the plan to Cadets before the Briefing from the Captain. You'll just have to wait till then.
Jason: Indeed I have. Crewman Ridge over there is currently cataloging the medications. We're all set here.
Crap, Frek thought, taking a starship out of spacedock isn’t the most easy thing to do. Not that he hadn’t done it before, but never with a ship this size. He had trained for it though and he wasn’t that bad at it. He only crashed the first couple of time he tried. He really hoped it wouldn’t happen this time. Frek glanced nervously at Gordon and with sweaty hands he went over the controls.
Bay doors were open and permission to leave was in. “Release mooring clamps,” Frek said. “Clamps released,” came the reply. With a little boost from the thrusters he cleared the dock. “Setting course for bay doors,” Frek reported as he was going along. Confirming his previously entered course and making sure nothing was in the way Frek activated the thrusters and the starship slowly glided out of the hangar into open space.
“End simulation,” Gordon ordered. With a sigh of relief Frek took his hands of the controls. There were moist spots were the Frek’s sweaty fingers touched the controls. He quickly wiped them away with his sleeve, hoping nobody noticed. Well, the simulation went alright, he thought, if the real thing would go as smooth as this he would be okay.
OOC (Sorry Owen, my fault. I didn't notice your post when I was reading through the thread. Nice job making me not look like too much of an idiot...)
"Operations Cadet Owen Johnson reporting for duty sir."
YrDis eyes jerked up from the Operations Officer console he had been studying. He felt that he was able to at least watch the cadet and see that he was doing all right, but he was feeling a little rushed and uptight. It was probably that holodeck simulation he had just got out of. He would have to remember not to let her program the next one. YrDis thought that S'Reena might be more comfortable in the Emerald Wading Pool on Sumiko 3. Certainly he would be. Anyway, back to the cadet.
"Hello Cadet Johnson. Welcome aboard. I'm sure that you're aware that the Intrepid class is one of the most advanced ships in Starfleet" YrDis stated.
"Yes, sir" Johnson said, nodding affirmatively.
"Well, that makes the Ops position one of the most challenging on the ship. And because I'm a big fan of hands-on training, there is no better time for you to start than right now. Please run a level 3 diagnostic on the warp and impulse engines, verify that the short and long-range sensors are operational, then query the Science departments and see if they will require any access to ship resources during our mission" YrDis requested.
<Cadet Johnson>
"Excellent Cadet." YrDis stepped aside. Johnson hesitated slightly, then stepped into the station and started doing the requested tasks.
Melain nervousness increased tenfold with the presence of the Captain, at least she had fixed her ahir before he arrived. But she needed to speak with him, and now seemed a better time then any.
"Captain, I'm not sure how to ask this, but is there anyway I can have my quarter's changed?"
"I'm afraid all decisions on that issue have already been made. If you have problem with your roomate I suggest you speak with Counciler YrDis." The Captain replied, something told Melain that maybe she could change quarters, but the training officers wanted her to be challenged, to be made uncomfortable. She would talk to the Councelor, maybe he would see the propblem as she saw it.
"I understand Sir. Dr. Black, should I assist in the catalogeing and unpacking of supplies?" She was getting rather tired of standing around being stared at like an animale in a zoo, the lack of former Medical cadets was very very obviouse.
Jason: Actually, I've thought of a better use for you. A Chief Medical Officer of a starship is usually doing some form of medical research. In some cases, the task is figuring out what effect a phenomenon had on the crew. You see that crewmember over there, being examined by Dr Hope? Thats not routine physical being performed. On our last mission, we encountered a rather unsual problem. We came across a nebula of some kind, which we called the Ink Patch due to the fact that it was a blueish-purple color and was expanding like a blot of ink on paper. As soon as we entered, the crew started disappearing, starting with the Captain here, and Commander Hope. The members of the crew that had the most time in space disappeared soonest, with those with little time in space at all, like myself and Cadets, not being affected. It was later determined that a form of radiation coming from the nebula, which turned out to be a lifeform, and some effect on living tissue from exposure to Warp fields or artificial gravity, we're not sure which, were causing people to phase-shift. They were there, but we couldn't see them.
Jason: We're trying to figure out whether that had any affect on the crew. The Captain and Commander Hope were the most exposed. Therefore they will show the greatest signs. One of things you'll have to deal as Chief Medical Officer is crewmembers that are highly resistant to coming in for physicals. Therefore, here is your task. I want you to go to the Bridge, and convince Commander Hope to come down to Sickbay for a physical.
Jason then turned to the Captain.
Jason: Captain, as long as I have you here, I'd like to examine you as well.
<tag Captain, Lorre>
Melain had never thought about having to go to the bridge, she'd expected she would end up spending the whole mission in the sick bay. "I'll be right back." She replied before leaving for the bridge wondering what kinds of terminal effects this nebula could have had.
After a minute of walking down the halls she realised she really had no idea were the bridge was. She found a map and noticed the bridge as a few floors away and there was a turbolift just down the hall. she stepped into the Turbo lift. "Bridge please." "Unable to comply."
"Why not?"
"This turbo lift is not functioning under normal perameters, repairs are required."
"Oh come on! Specify what repairs it requires." Melain growled
"Unable to comply, security password required."
"Why do I need a password to make a repair?"
"Unknown, please seek another route."
"Fine! I doubt I'd be able to repair it anyway." Melain went back to the map to find another route and after several minutes stepped onto the bridge.
"Commander Hope, you are needed in the sick bay, Dr. Jason has requested he preform a physical to investigate the effects of the Ink nebula." Melain stood at attention, letting her eyes wander to take in the wonder fo the bridge. She saw Frek at the helm consol and smiled, he was probably experiancing the same anxiaty she was.
Frek looked over his shoulder to see who entered the bridge. Lorre Melain stepped in. Thank god she looks nervous, Frek thought as he gave her a nod, it’s not just me. Seeing her stepping out of the lift reminded him of something. The broken turbolift. For a moment he pondered if he should mention it the chief engineer or one of the other senior officers. Frek contemplated on that for a while. Engineering probably already noticed, he thought, no need to bother them with trivial things. He put the whole thing out of his thoughts and glanced over the control panel again. He wanted to familiarize himself with them. Although most Starfleet vessels had uniform controls there were still the ship dependent differences.
"Sickbay?" S'reea replied, studying the Bajoran cadet, "I am sorry, I am not going down to sickbay. With the captain off the bridge, I cannot leave."
She remained seated in her chair, and looked up at the cadet, whose cheeks were flushing red. "I have been in sickbay too much lately, if you wish you can do your examinations up here, but I am not going down to sickbay."
<sorry lorre, you're gonna have a tough job getting S'reena down to sickbay;)>
YrDis was standing quietly beside cadet Johnson, watching him perform the tasks that he had been assigned. The cadet was doing quite well, except that he had nearly initiated a Level 1 diagnostic of the warp engines, a task that would have taken several hours.
Suddenly, Cadet Lorre walked onto the bridge and in a burst of cadet like enthusiasm, tried to convince Commander Hope to go down to Sickbay for an exam. In studying her personel jacket, YrDis knew that her visits to Sickbay were few and far between.
Thinking that this little confrontation would be interesting from a Counsellor point of view, YrDis pulled out his data padd and started splitting his attention between what Johnson was up to and the coversation between Lorre and the Commander.
"I'm afraid Dr. Black gave me a direct order to come and take you to sick bay. I believe it is in the Cheif Medical officer's ability to do so. He is checking up on the Captain as we speak, and should be finished soon, so the bridge will not be left without a commander for very long." Melain was getting nervouse, she didn't want to return to sick bay without the Commander, but at the same time she did not want to cross paths with the secound in command.
"If you have a problem you could talk to him yourself." Out of the corner of her eye she noticed whome she was sure was Councelor YrDis eyeing them, she noted his appearence so that she could speak to him later about Danara.
If you are so adament on performing some tests, you may perform them right here, because I am not leaving the bridge." She too, was aware of the counselor spying on them She shot him a what-are-you-looking-at glance, and turned her attention back on the cadet. "Well?"
