S'reena quietly regarded the CMO. "As I recall, you ordered me to report to sickbay," she said flatly, "I have done so. It is my right to refuse treatment of any kind, and as I do not feel ill, I believe I should refuse any examination at this point."
She noticed that just about every crewmember, in particular the captain, was gazing in their direction. ~oh the counselor must have a ball~ she thought angrily, and felt her cheeks flush as her anger rose.
Her left hand went to her Honor Blade, but it froze only just centimeters above the hilt. ~what am I doing?~ she wondered, and adjusted the movement to tug on her tunic instead. ~hopefully nobody noticed that~
Romulans were well known for their tempers, and S'reena was no different, only in that she endeavoured to control her temper. ~I wish Salek were here~ she thought ~he would see the logic of my situation, surely~
"I will not come to sickbay," she said out loud, at last. She hadn't realized that it had taken her quite some time to speak up. "I am sorry doctor, cadet. You are aware of my dislike of sickbays, and unless I do feel ill, I will not set foot in sickbay."

Melain tensed as she noticed the commander's hand drift to the weapon on her side. She'd heard that some people couldn't stand sickbay, but she had not expected this. She let out a held in breath as S'reena calmed down. She had grabbed a med kit on the way out of sickbay as the Doctor and her had ran after S'reena, but the tests Dr. Black needed to preform involved much more complicated instruments so she could offer no assistance there. ~So what do we do now, we can't let her get away with this. What if other crewman try to do the same?~

Jason was no telepath, but he could sense the tension and emotion rising in both Lorre and Commander Hope.
Jason: Cadet, when you are on a training cruise of this type, you are actually the Chief Medical Officer of this vessel. I am merely your Instructor. It is your responsibility to convince Commander Hope to come to Sickbay. Use whatever means necessary to get her there.
He stepped back behind Lorre to emphasize the point.

Melain was startled, but realised that Jason was correct. She found this quite liberating
She issued the order "Alright then. Commander S'reena I am ordering you to follow me to sickbay were you will undergo a physical and remain untill given permission to leave. If you do not obey I will have security escort you there and remain untill I instruct them to leave. If you cause further trouble I will file a report on you to Star Fleet command."
~there, I did it, I have finaly stood up for myself~ Melain stood unmoving waiting for S'reena's reply, beside her Commander Mortat stood ready in case his assistance would be required

"No," S'reena said, sitting back down. She crossed her arms over her chest, and leaned back in her chair, gazing up at the CMO and the medical cadet defiantly. She heard a guffaw from somewhere behind her, and a grunt from beside her.
S'reena knew that it was very likely that the cadet would carry out her threat, but she was determined. She hated sickbays, and after the latest visits to sickbay even feared it somewhat. "I am not going to sickbay doctor," she said softly, "please do not make me. I do not feel ill."

"Feeling ill has nothing to do with it Commander, The point of a physical is to prevent you from feeling ill." Melain turned to Commander Mortat. "Please escort the Commander to Sickbay.. you may want to call for more security."
Mortat called an Ensign Security officer to the Bridge. The young man appeard confident, as if he had been expecting problems to arise.
Mortat and the Ensign grabbed S'reena by the shoulders and guided her up out of her chair and out the door to the Turbo lift. Melain and Dr. Black followed behind. Melain bit her lip anxiosly, hoping this would be the end of this issue

S'reena sighed, resisted a little when they pulled her up, but didn't struggle as they guided her away. She felt embarassed if not somewhat humiliated. The doctor knew perfectly well how she felt about sickbays, would it really have been that hard to perform a few tests in the readyroom?
Her cheeks were flushed a darker shade of green with embarassment and held back anger, but she had no desire to get stunned and be carried off. She shook off both Mortaat and the ensign. "I can walk by myself," she growled, and glared at the young man as he reached for her Honor Blade.
She slapped his hand away hard. "Keep your hands off that," she snapped at him.
"But..." the security officer protested, unsure as to what to do now.
"Had I wanted to use it, I assure you, I would have done so by now," S'reena snapped at him, "however it is mostly just a part of my uniform, instead of a weapon to use. That does not mean, however, that I do not know how to use it, honorably."
The young man swallowed, but made no further attempt to take the weapon from her. When they reached sickbay, S'reena suddenly stopped. "No," she repeated, and refused to walk any further.

"Commander..." Melain urged S'reena warning in her voice. S'reena refused to budge. 'Very well then, Commander Mortat, unarm her and take her in. I have a report to file."
Melain walked in to the Sickbay with purpose and headed strait to the Computer terminal. She would write the report quickly before she could change her mind. Behind her she heard Danara attempt to hide a giggle with a cough. She turned Sharpy and gave her a glare. ~This isn't funny, I shouldn't have to be doing this~ she thought typing up the report

Michael had missed all the commotion with his wife, and he wasn't aware she was in sickbay either. He had given the Cardassian cadet a brief look-over and had noticed the tension between her and the Bajoran medical cadet.
"I will be right back," he told Danara, "please excuse me."
he walked into the office and tapped the cadet on her shoulder. "Ms Lorre, I have a patient I need you to treat. I want you to list cause of injury and how you have treated it."
He glanced over her shoulder and saw that she was writing a report on someone. "What are you doing?"

Melain looked up, this day was getting from bad to worse. She knew that Michael and S'reena were married, and din't want to tell him about the report, but he would find out soon enough. "I'm filing a report on Commander S'reena who has disobeyd a direct order for a physical, and displayed threatening behavior toward myself and Dr. Black."
She finished typing up the report, and picked up a nearby scanner and datapad. "If you'll excuse me I have a patient to look after." she slid past him and approched Danara who looked up at her indignently. Melain sighed. 'Alright, what happend to your arm?"

Michael sighed and shook is head sadly, as he walked after Melain. "Don't be worried about that cadet, when it comes to medical exams she's a handful. But really, she's a lovely woman, and a great scientist...just one with a bad temper. A good mother too might I add."
He watched as she walked towards the cardassian, and noted that she was apprehensive. "Go on," Michael urged, "you have to learn that you may have to treat both friend and foe. You are a doctor, first do no harm."
Now he heard the growling sounds coming from another part of sickbay, but he made a point of ignoring them. "Now, what would you say is wrong with Ms Danara, and how would you treat it?"

Melain took out the scanner. 'She said her wrist was sprained. However According the scanner, it's a fracture." Melain looked up at Danara who looked slightly pleased.
"Cardassains have a high pain threshold." Danara gloated, "I geuss I underestimated the injury.'
"That is unlikly. How did this happen exactly?" Melain asked, hoping maybe Danara had been doing something stupid.
"Why do you need to know?" Danara shot back.
"If I know how it happend I may be able to prevent further injuries to other crewmembers." Melain replied as she continued to scan.
"I'm a Security cadet and my instructer was running me through a holosimulation. I guess the safety wasn't turned on so that when I fell, I really did get hurt." Danara seemed proud of this, and Melain couldn't undertstand why.
"I'll make a note of that and contact your instructer." Melain turned to Michael. "I'm going to give her some Rexalin for the pain, and then use a Metorapan treatment for the fracture. I'm going to suggest she stay off duty for the rest of the day."
"I can't stay off duty!" Danara protested giving Melain an angry glare. "You can and you will, I've had enough difficult patients today." Melain orderd.
"But what will I do?" Danara continued to protest.
"That's for you to figure out isn't it." Melain grabbed a hypospray and filled it with the Rexalin. "This is also a sedative so expect to feel a little drowsy."

Watching as S'reena was escourted from the bridge, Tony couldn't but feel disapointed in his first officer. This was a problem she was going to have to deal with. If Cadet Lorre's report didn't end with a starfleet reprimand, Tony would be forced to write one himself, the whole thing had gone too far.
"Briefing in the conferance room in 5 minutes. All senior officers and cadets shall attend." He said, over the ship wide intercom. Deactivating the intercom, he looked toward Johnson. "Have that PADD with you Mr. Johnson." With that he strolled into the conferance room to pour over the little information Starfleet had sent him.
OFF: If I fail to post it's because I've been sick. My apolagies for not posting earlier.

Owen was still a little confused as to what to do. However as Cmdr. Blayne hadn't offered to help he was stuck trying to work it out for himself. ~Button, button, button. Who's got the button ...~ He thought as he looked over the padd again.
There was all sorts of information listed on the padd's screen and Owen just scrolled through it all until he came to a section that said 'Jesin'. ~That looks like the file I need.~ He downloaded the information and then proceeded to walk over to the conference room. At the door he waited for a response.

*As Gunnery Sergeant Robert (Tank) James, approached the doors to Sick Bay for his required physical, he found his way blocked by the ships XO and and Ensign from Security. Walking up behind her he said:*
Tank: Excuse me sirs but I have been ordered to report to sick bay, Colonel Traks said you also hated Sick Bays as much as I do, with me it is because I usually end up there do to some ill prepared Officers orders, no insult intended sir but; you must admit showing this kind of attitude in front of the Cadets is contrary to good discipline. If you find my remarks out of line the name is Chief Warrant Officer 4 Robert James, Federation Marines.
*With that Tank turned and proceeded through the doors to Sick Bay.*

Micheal nodded and Melain pressed the hypospray to Danara's neck. "You'll have to wait a minute for that to take it's full effect." Melain grabbed the Metropane. "Lay back and put your arm in this."
"What does it do?" Danara asked, staring at it suspicously.
"Look I'm not going to hurt you, I'll admit I don't like you, and I'm geussing you feel the same way about me, but someone has to heal your arm, and that someone is going to be me. So just lay back and relax." Danara's mouth opend and closed like that of a goldfish, and The Cardassian cadet lay down.
Melain slipped the metropane over her wrist and began the treatment. "I need you back here in 24hrs for a secound treatment and to check that it is healing correctly."
Melain scanned the arm and waited for the treatment to finish. Out of habit she began to silently chant in Bajoran Jiah kasha tren tolarehn, Lapohr ihlani kor, Ehna tahna talinohk , Jiah kasha treynah tolarehn..."
"Stop that!" Danara yelled, pulling back her arm and giving Melain a deadly glare
"What, why!" Melain often used the Bajoran chant when she worked as a nurse on earth, patients found it soothing and often requested it.
"How would you feel if I started chanting Cardassian at you!? leave your religion out of this!" Danar snapped
Melain stood shocked and noticed the other sickbay staff starting to stare. "Alright, fine." she put the scanner down and removed the Metropane. "I'm going to put a brace on that arm. I will remove it in three days, but you should refrain from any wrist movement for another week."

Jason went quickly over and grabbed the necessary equipment as S'reena sat down on a biobed.
Jason: Ya know, Commander, you're making this a whole lot more difficult than it needs to be. You've earned yourself a reprimand, all for a 5-minute examination.
Jason: Don't worry, we'll be just about done by then.
He opened the medical tricorder and ran the peripheral over her.
Jason: Indeed. The same temperature variation as usual. Now, I need to do a genetic test as well. I'll just be taking a small blood sample.
He picked up the hypospray. He pressed it to her neck and withdrew the blood.
Jason: Alright, next I'm going to perform a cellular bio-scan. It will take a few minutes and you need to remain very still, or else we'll have to do this again.
He activated the scan and walked across Sickbay. He inserted the blood sample into the diagnostic device.
Jason: Computer, run a genetic test on this blood sample. Check for the mutation.
The Computer beeped in acknowledgement. An Officer in a Marine uniform came in.
James: Chief Warrant Officer 4 Robert James, Federation Marines. I'm here for my physical.
Jason: Come in, Mr. James. I'll have Dr Hope examine you, as I'm with a patient and have a Senior Staff meeting in a few minutes. You may want to postpone that physical until after the meeting, though.
Computer: Genetic analysis complete. Mutation detected......Cellular bio-scan complete.
Jason: Well, I figured it would be there, although hoping it wouldnt be. We're done, Commander. You may go. I'll need to speak to you and the Captain about my findings after the Briefing. :: he turned to Lorre:: Lorre, we have to be at the Briefing in a few minutes.

Lorre looked up. "Alright, well we are done here." she stepped back and Danara hopped off the biobed. Before she could make for the door Melain slapped the brace on her arm. "If I catch you without that on, I'm going to report you."
"yeah yeah, reporting seems to be becoming a hobby of your isn't it." Danara replied making for the exit before Melain could respond.
"I'll be right there Dr. Black I just need to record Danara's injury on her file." Melain put her scanner and the rest of the instruments away and went back to the commuter terminal to pull up Danara's file

During the entire procedure, S'reena didn't say a word. She fixed her glare on a distant wall in sickbay and didn't acknowledge Jason Black much. When he told her to lie down, she did so and fixed her glare on the ceiling.
After a while, she was told he was done with his examination, and S'reena held out her hand to Mortaat. "My blade," she said, through clenched teeth. Reluctantly, the Bolian CTSO returned the ceremonial weapon.
"Thank you," S'reena said, and walked out of sickbay as wast as was dignified. Five minutes later, she walked into the briefing room, shot the captain an apollogetic look but remained silent. She would wait for him to speak first.
Soon, other instructors and cadets walked in too, as well as the Marine she had briefly met earlier. She nodded at him, her face expressionless. ~who is he to tell me what is honorable and what is not~ she thought grimly ~he does not know me~

OOC: should have added this to the previous post.
"Enter" came the call from within the conference room. Upon hearing this Owen entered.
"Captain, this is the padd about Jesin. I thought you might like to read over it before the briefing." Owen said as he handed over the padd. After handing over the padd Owen went back to his station to get some more training.
*5 minutes later*
Owen was viewing some of the ships systems readouts when S'reena walked in to the conference room.
"We should go cadet Johnson." Cmdr. Blayne informed Owen as he headed over to the room. Owen followed and stood waiting for everyone else to take their seats.

"Cmdr. Blayne, would you be able to assist me on this task?" Johnson asked.
"I could help you, Cadet Johnson. However, my showing you would not teach you much. Also, I would like to know which areas that you might require extra training. Try to find the best way to recover the information" YrDis said.
Commander Blayne watched the time index as the cadet waded through the stacks of data. After about 30 seconds, Johnson had found the required file regarding the planet Jesin. The cadet downloaded the information into a PADD, walked it in to the Captain and then returned to his station.
"That was fine Cadet. However, there are several alternatives available to a manual search. Find them." Blayne watched for several minutes as Johnson found his way through the automated file search protocols. Johnson was getting faster, but needed some work. Blayne checked the time again. "We should go cadet Johnson." He nodded and the two of them walked into the briefing room.
There were a few people already in the room. YrDis noted that S'Reena was already seated, statue-like, in her chair and staring at at a spot on the wall. YrDis walked over to her, and he could see her stiffening even more. "Excuse me, Commander Hope." The first officer nodded but didn't look up. "I feel that Cadet Johnson would benefit from some additional training. I would like to run him through some holodeck bridge simulation. I would appreciate it if you would find out if any other cadets or officers would care to join us." Commander Hope nodded stiffly, but still didn't look up. Blayne returned to his seat.
He sat down in his chair and accessed information on the planet Jesin and it's inhabitants, the Cragorians. However, his mind was considering Commander Hope. He resolved to take a longer look at her personel record in the near future.

Melain had finished pulling up Danara's medical file and went to join the others in the conferance room. She noticed S'reena sitting coldly, and found a seat far from her. As Melaim waited she looked around that the other cadets, they were beginning to look a little more confident.
Just as she was getting comfortable Danara enterd, the brace (thankfully) was still on her arm. Anxiosly the Cardassian looked around the room, and was about to head for a chair across the table when her Instructer enterd and led her towards two empty seats next to Melain. ~Great, as if I haven't had enough of her already you make us sit next to each other.~ Melain turned her back away from her roomate and looked out the window to see the stars flying past.

Frek made a small adjustment in his calculations before heading of to the conference room. He reckoned nobody would like to crash into a star. Besides, it would look bad in service record. βAll done,β Frek said to no one in particular and made way for his replacement. Two and a half minute later he entered the conference room. Most of the staff and cadets were already present. βTake a seat cadet,β the captain said, gesturing to an empty chair. Frek sat down and waited for what was to come. Perhaps they would finally be briefed.

I walked into the briefing room just a few steps behind Cadet Thelev as I had to setup an evaluation with the young ensign that had taken the conn as we got up to go to the briefing.
Taking my reserved seat at the table right beside Cadet Thelev I turned my attention to the viewports while we waited for the meeting to begin.
"Don't you just love to look out at the stars going by at warp speed?" I asked to noone in particular.

Before everyone had arrived, the counselor approached S'reena and filled her in on his desire that his cadet would benefit from more training. Refusing to look at him or acknowledge his presence, she merely nodded.
When the counselor finally walked away, she got up from her seat and walked towards Cadet Lorre, and tapped her on her shoulder. "Walk with me for a moment cadet," she said, and backoned the medical cadet to follow her to a corner.
"I feel I must apollogize," she started, "I did not mean to embarass you on the bridge. Also, I noticed some tension between you and your room mate. Will you be able to work things out?"
