K'ratak: Walked on to the bridge in time to see Cadet Youngblood exit the captains ready room. His look on his face told him things had not gone well with commander Nikmud. Looking at the cadet he motioned him over and Listened to what he had told Nikmud. Accept he had left some parts out which he would never know about. Looking cadet he smiled he was trying so hard and he almost had it.
K'ratak: Looking at youngblood he smiled it was time to help alittle. " Cadet follow me for a secoud" They entered the turbo lift when they were both inside he order the door locked and halted its use. "Youngblood Commander Nikmud is right its not enough your taking a big chance on causeing reasonable doubt and your going to need more. Remember when I told you to apporach your thinking differnt'ly well its time to do that again. I'm going to suggest something to you it has some risk and if it fails it will get you into trouble. I want you to think for a moment okay. Polly has feeling for the captain you can tell that every time his name is brought up and I dont think those feelings are hate." pausing thinking of a way to put is words into a plan.
K'ratak: " Cadet maybe instead of asking the question you should give her a chance to come clean. Why dont you tell her its to late the captain is going down, there's not enough proof to get him off his only hope is if something else turns up. If not then he's going to die tell here that her mother or father want him to face charges on the world which means the death penalty." pausing again " You dont have to use what I said exactly but you could frasie it in your own way making it sound do or die. I will make sure there's no way to confirm what you tell here I'll black out the comm system for you. Don't push her give her time come up with a dead line let her stew about. If she is guilty and care's for him as much as I think she does then maybe her feeling will win out or something to clear him will turn up."
" Its up to you if you want to try this but it will take some time you have to give here a chance to stew and try to call somebody to see if its true. When she can't get out she will have doubts and might not chance his fate. It will be up to you on how you want to play it if you decided to try this I will cover for you for as long as I can and help back your story. Becareful and dont go to far less is more sometimes and if you lead it open as to his fate then you might get what you want." <Tag Youngblood>
Few minutes later on the bridge
K'ratak: Walked back on to the bridge to see Commander Nikmud in the center seat. She was quite a woman. Trying not to think about earlyer events he took the first officer's chair. She turned to look at him. The look he got was a little strange like she knew something he didn't he would have to try and figure that out later. " Commander in a few minutes I would like to black out com through the ship. I would of courses not black it out on the bridge but if asked I would just imply we are having some problems and are trying to fix it. I want to give cadet youngblood some time to try something." <Tag Nikmud>

Eileen O'Reilly glared back at Nikmud. "My name is O'Reilly," she snapped, giving the officer a murderous glare, "and my daughter is to beam down immediately. And I demand that this wayward captain join her at once!" She didn't explain why TJ was to join Polly, but it was evident that Polly had told her what had transpired during their journey towards Alcor.
On Alcor, it was law that when a man assaulted a woman, or even struck her for whatever reason, he was convicted without trial and would be publicly executed. It was also law that the victimised woman could publicly forgive the man and demand him in marriage. She would dictate the terms of the marriage. This also meant several things; the man could be her slave for life, or he would be set free to do as he pleases as long as he remains faithful to the woman.
Some of these marriages actually resulted in a happy union over time while in others the male commited suicide within weeks as he couldn't live under the woman's rule. However, this law had made assault towards women virtually unheard of ever since it had passed fifteen years ago.
On the Hepta, Polly waited in the transporter room for security to escort their captain from the brig. She knew he wouldn't understand why he was asked, or rather told, to come, but she would explain as soon as they had met up with her mother. At last, Youngblood appeared with TJ, whose hands were shackled before him.
Polly glanced at him with pity in her eyes. "Release him," she told Youngblood, "there is no need for this. There is nowhere for him to go on Alcor. You, however, may attend to him if you wish."
She watched as Youngblood reluctantly released TJ, then motioned for them to hurry up. She was anxious to see her mother again, knowing she would be waiting at the beam-down co-ordinates.
"Mother!" she cried, flying towards the older woman as soon as she was completely materialised. Eileen was accompanied by two men clad in pitch-black and hooded robes, casting shadows over their faces which made them unrecognizeable. She motioned towards Youngblood and TJ. "Mother you'll remember Thomas Edwards?" she asked, "and that's his guard, Cadet Yahnie Youngblood."
Eileen cast a curious glance at TJ. "Why did you do it?" she demanded, "You know the penalty is death. There were witnesses according to the security report." She motioned for the two robed men to escort the human captain towards the guillotine that was put up on the city centre square.
Polly watched as the human paled visibly, but admired his strength as he didn't flinch nor struggle against his executors. "Wait!" she shouted after them, yanking TJ away from them both. "I want him in marriage," she stated clearly, her voice ringing over the now gathered crowd. "I grant him absolution and forgive him his deeds by taking him as my husband."
The teenager turned towards TJ. "Thomas please," she whispered, "I never meant for this to happen. You have to believe me. If you take my offer, you're free to return to your duties as Starfleet captain, under two conditions. You remain faithful to me, and you come visit me as often as your duties allow you to."

K'ratak: Sat on the bridge of the hepta Nikmud hadn't said much since the captain and Polly along with youngblood had beamed down to the planet. It appeared things had gone from bad to worse. He looked around the bridge and could tell the crew was not happy with the out come so far.
Sitting there in the first officer's chair he kept thinking. I need the captain back, I could just take him but he would never go for that his honor wouldn't allow it. There were other reasons he was aboard the hepta and he needed TJ back and in command future events would not turn out the way they should with out him. Then there was the issue of Nikmud ever since the kiss and the meeting she had with Youngblood she hadn't said much. She looked like she had a question but didn't know how to ask. What did youngblood tell here I wonder.
K'ratak: Turning to face the acting captain. " So Commander I think you might want to replace your chair when the captain come's back I think I'ev worn it out. I will miss not sitting in it when this is all over" <Tag Nikmud> He wasn't trying to make light of there problem but was hoping to show the crew he beleaved things would work out and that the captain would come back and things would be normal again.

<Turbo lift> As the cadet listened to the Klingon Commander the cadet thought to himself maybe he’s right. I need to try to trip her up so that she would think that her plan back fired. *smiling* Ok, Commander said the cadet “I’ll give this some thought and when the opportunity is right I’ll have another talk with her. The cadet watched has the commander left the turbo lift. “Deck 9” the cadet said. When the turbo lift arrived the door slid open and the cadet started to walk down the corridor.
<Captain’s quarters deck 9>
Cadet Youngblood went to get the Captain who was in his quarters. The cadet arrived at his quarters and knocked at his door. Sir, we were ordered to beam down with the teenager to the planet. I am sorry Captain but I am ordered to put these shackles on you.
<Transporter room six >
They walked down the corridor to transporter six. The away team stepped on the transporter pad. “Energize” said the cadet to the transporter chief.
<Planet Alcor>
They beamed down to the planet where met the teenagers mother and 2 hooded escorts. The 2 hooded escorts started to take Captain Edwards away. Cadet Youngblood said stop. You cannot take the Captain away. He is under the protection of federation law. When the incident accord the Captain was aboard this ship. You have no right to him. The cadet turned towards the teenager and spoke to her. Miss O’Shaserra, You can’t let them do this to him. You know I am right. This is wrong; you need to let the federation handle this.

Polly stood face to face with TJ, her cheeks wet from the tears that still flowed from her eyes. "Please Thomas," she pleaded as the hooded escorts stated leading him towards the guillotine.
She half-turned when Youngblood started talking to her. "Unfortunately cadet, planet policy and custom take presedence over Federation law. I am certain you remember the incident on the Edo planet, where Wesley Crusher fell into a punishment zone? Edo law went over Federation law. Alcor isn't much different. But Captain Edwards has a choice, death or marriage. If he chooses marriage, it will save his life."
She beckoned the young security officer to follow her. "There were two witnesses who saw Thomas attack me. If they hadn't jumped in, he would've killed me. And I know I've given him enough reason to want to kill me, but you must believe me when I say I never meant him any harm." She could tell by the look in Youngblood's eyes that he knew more about the truth than he was showing, but she didn't mention any of it.
She walked up the podium, motioning for Youngblood to wait with her mother. She wanted a few seconds alone with the condemned. "I am truly sorry for what I did to you," she whispered as she walked up to him, then showed him the remote before she let it fall to the wooden floor and crushed it with the heel of her boot. "My father's had enough influence on me," she whispered, "but no more. Please, accept my offer. The conditions aren't that bad. One year of being faithful and regular visits. After that you will be released of your vows. You don't need to sleep with me, I won't demand that of you. Please Thomas, I don't want to see you die."
Polly was begging him now, on the verge of falling to her knees to get him to accept. But she couldn't do that, because of the standing accusations, which she now couldn't withdraw. Now she beckoned Youngblood to come up. "Please Mister Youngblood, please convince your captain to take my offer. It will save his life."

K'ratak: Was still sitting in the first officer chair when he receaved a update from Cadet Youngblood. Reading about the current events and seeing how youngblood was feeling it was time to say something. Still rather then talk over a open line he got up and excused him self and went to the transporter room. A few minutes later he was planet side and walking over to the cadet. He could tell Youngblood was having a fit with this and about ready to act.
Walking upon the cadet and motioining him to follow him. " Youngblood I think its time to talk, by now you have learned that things aren't always fair. No matter how we feel there are times when we must accept them no matter what we think about them." Puasing " Think about this do you think for a moment the federation would go to war for one man. Do you think the captain being who he is would allow that to happen. Even if you could get him off planet and back to the ship do you think he would go. His honor would never allow that, he could and would come back down no matter how hard you tryed to stop him. I know this is not fair and we both know more is going on here but we must put aside our own thoughts and feelings for the better good. If he choose to stay then we must accept that he is the captain and he is doing his duty. Sometimes being captain is the toughtest job you make choices that aren't easy or the one's you want but you have to wieght the big picture. If he stays things will work out the federation will keep this planet and he will be allowed to return. If he leaves he will always have a shawdow of doubt that he did what he was accused of and might start a war."
" You may voice your thoughts to me and the captain but you must stand by his choice. He's the captain and knows the risk. If he stays the charge's go away and this matter is settled he may gain a wife but there will be peace and that is worth alot more the personal honor. You have to know when to put honor aside for the betterment of everybody. Thats the main problem with my people and that will be there down fall if they dont change. The captain knows this and will choose the action that is best for everybody. Stand by his choice show your support he's not doing this just for himself but for you and me and everybody else. We'ev had enought war and politic's and if he can stop another one then its his job as captain to do it." Pausing " Talk to him but listen as well let him make the choice and stand by his choice even if you dont like it. Honor the captain show your support even if you dont agree who knows things may work out for the better" Pausing again " Trust me on this cadet I can't explain why but things will work out and if I know the captain he will be back on the bridge when this is over" <Tag Youngblood>

Polly stood face to face with TJ, her cheeks wet from the tears that still flowed from her eyes. "Please Thomas," she pleaded as the hooded escorts started leading him towards the guillotine. ... TJ’s brow furrowed, partly in anger against Polly and all she had done, partly in Sean’s rearing of the teenager, and partly from fear of the blade about to fall, thus ending his Starfleet career.
“Me heart belongs on th’ Hepta, an’ on th’ El Sal with Captain Irae. Do ye think I would dishonor meself by cowerin’ before this “toy” of yours I’m walkin’ to now?” He looked directly at Polly with harsh eyes. “No. I’ve told ye where me heart is, an’ ‘tis not a wee bit of it you’ll be gettin’ after you’ve done all this t’ me.”
Hearing him thus speak, the two hooded figures pulled him from Polly’s presence. The three approached, and then ascended the steps of the guillotine. As they did so, TJ’s thoughts went back to the attack on Polly in her quarters when the security guards had raced in.
He was glad they had. It was not his nature to do such a thing. Probably the result of the drugs that had been pumped into his system. TJ was surprised – extremely surprised – when he saw Polly destroy the remote device, and for a brief moment considered accepting her offer. However, his eyes then fell on his IR ring, and this strengthened his resolve.
Yet on the other side of his mind was the fact she had destroyed the remote. This was remorse he had never thought to see in a member of Sean O’Shaserra’s sept.
Seeing her desperation, he spoke. The dull din of the gathering crowd, mingled with the angered cries of some of its members, allowed only those on the platform of the guillotine to hear his words.
“’Tis clear t’ me now that your heart’s speakin’. Since that is true, if you meet three conditions, I’ll grant ye your request, an’ there’ll be a weddin’.
“But if ye chose t’ refuse me conditions – any of them –” TJ paused, gazing at the instrument that very soon could kill him, “I read th’ guillotine was actually not that much of a painful death.
"Me first condition is that, if indeed there is a weddin', then as you've said, I not be required t' be sleepin' with ye, as ye yourself have stated, nor t' show any affection.
"Th' second is another which ye yourself have stated. 'Tis that I return only when me duties as a Starfleet officer permit me t’ do so.
"Th' last is that ye be makin’ – here an’ now – a public confession of all you’ve done t’ bring me t’ this that situation, thus clearin' me record an' me name in Starfleet and on Alcor.
”Make your mind up quickly,” he ordered sharply. “Neither th’ crowd below nor me executioners have a great deal o’ patience. Do ye not hear th’ cries for me blood?” <Tag... Polly>

K'ratak: Turned from his converstion with youngblood to see the events unfolding. "Its time for you to stand by your captain Cadet. Remember what I said suppport him show him that you beleave him, Show the crowed that you support him. Let them see what type of person they have in there midist. One who inspires loyalt to the end honor for what is right no matter what people may say about the man." looking at youngblood " I suggest you hurry and remember things will work out I promise you that now get going I'm sure he could use your support right now"

Mutely, Polly nodded for him to continue. The façade had gone on long enough, and she watched her mother stare back at her daughter in horror.
Polly held her breath, following TJ's gaze to the sharp blade that was ready to be dropped down as soon as the condemned was placed on the block. Again she nodded without speaking.
"I agree," Polly said, relief audible in her voice, "to both. I will provide the affection but will demand none." Silently she hoped that of course over time he'd mellow towards her, but she also realised that this may very well never happen. Yet, she prayed they could at least, over time, become just friends.
"Also agreed," she answered, "but you'll allow me to visit?" He prayed he would, but wouldn't be offended if he wouldn't.
Polly inhaled sharply as she faced the crowd, nearly fainting with fright. She fell silent for a long time, wondering just how she would explain it all, truthfully without incriminating herself too much and most importantly, without putting any blame on her mother for her absence during her rearing.
His sharp tone brought her attention back to him and nodded. "Yes Thomas I hear it," she whispered, leaning heavily on the security cadet for support. She was grateful that he held her up, but knew it wasn't out of kindness towards her. Polly knew full well that the cadet knew more than he was letting on, and he was merely supporting her so she could deliver her confession. "And I don't want them to have your blood. I will tell them exactly what happened, no more lies. I'll have no more lies, I'm tired of doing my father's bidding."
She turned to face the crowd, feeling Youngblood's strong grip on her arm as he held her. "I'm not going anywhere mister Youngblood," she whispered, "but thank you." She cleared her throat then raised her voice calling the crowd to be silent and listen. "There will be no execution!" she called, "and I have a confession on my own. Yes, Thomas did attack me, but he had very good reasons to do so."
She paused, feeling TJ take hold of her other arm but in a little more gentle fashion than the cadet was doing. "It was my father's bidding that I antagonize this man here, abduct and torture him out of spite for something that happened years ago. My father reared me to hate this man, but he counted not on my love for him. What I did was wrong and I beg this man's forgiveness for what I have done."
She continued to relate how she'd treated TJ during his capture, then finally turned to him, her face tear-stained. "Please forgive me," she whispered. "I can't undo what I've done, and custom demands either your death or for you to wed me. But I will keep my promises and after one year you will be released from your vows. You are not required to share my bed nor show affection towards me, and you will return to me as often as your duty allows you to. These are the conditions of our marriage, as heard and witnessed by the crowd and my mother."
"Heard and witnessed," Eileen O'Reilly echoed, motioning for the crowd to echo it as well.

K'ratak: Watched the events come to ahead, the captain was cleared but had a wife. Cadet Youngblood had the trueth and learned a few things along the way. Things were going the way they were meant too. Something told him that Polly would be showing up more often then not on the ship and that would be intersting.
Now came the matter of Nikmud he had left the ship with out permission, then there was the issue of the kiss. Not to mention where he would be going after this he still had a mission to complete but for the moment he had time to spare. He needed the captain back and got it the mission was still salvageable it would take a little longer but he had waited this long and time well time was something he had alot of. Looking back at the cadet and the captain smiling it was good to see them together the cadet had a bright future more then he would know he would have to check on him from time to time. Taping his combadge he transported back to the ship to face commander Nikmud something told him he was going to have to be careful around her. She a little to smart for own good but dam she good looking and a good kisser.

Down on the planet
Cadet Youngblood turned around just in time to catch the teenager as she was about to faint. As she caught her he felt like needles going down his spine. He thought this girl is doing the wrong thing to his captain and he didn’t know how to fix it. The cadet took out his padd and was listening to the conversation between his captain and Polly and recording what is taken place. The cadet stayed down on the planet to make sure of his captains safety. As the crowd went their separate ways and the teenager and TJ was still talking. “Sir, “Do you want me to stay down here until you are ready to leave.” I’m sure this wasn’t what you had in mind on this mission but I am glad that things didn’t go disastrous.” After the cadet talked he went towards a lake which was still in the captain’s view.

Location: Alcor, a few hours later
Polly stood beside her mother, beaming with pride despite the circumstances. She understood perfectly that TJ wouldn't be a willing and happy groom, but she'd accept that. Yet she hoped he'd still change his views on her, especially after seeing her in her beautiful snow-white wedding dress.
A long veil covered her face, reaching all the way to the hem of her dress. It had no sleeves and was low cut, folding out wide at the back trailing about half a meter behind her over the floor. The veil at the back reached even further, but wasn't held up by bride's maids.
It wouldn't be a church wedding, but rather one done by just the town's officiant. The older man was stood waiting at the altar, where TJ was also already waiting. On the front row sat his senior staff on the one side, on the other side sat her mother's side of the family.
Together with her mother, she started gliding forward until she reached the altar. The officiant introduced them both to the gathered crowd, then started the ceremony. "Polly Elaine O'Shaserra do you take to your lawful wedded husband Thomas Jason Edwards..."
Polly hesitated only for a microsecond. "I do," she answered clearly.
The officiant turned to TJ. "Thomas Jason Edwards, do you take to your lawful wedded wife, Polly Elaine O'Shaserra..."
(TJ, if you'd like to modify an answer in?)Unlike Polly, TJ did not answer immediately. He couldn't. The words of affirmation stuck in his throat like a porcupine being dragged up by its tail. The officiant repeated his question.
"Do you take to your lawful wedded wife Polly Elaine O'Shaserra?"
The frown on TJ's face clearly spoke of his distaste for the ceremony. He still struggled with the words, not wanting to speak them. Still, he had promised....
"I... do," he muttered.
The officiant glanced at them both over his reading glasses and smiled. "Then I now pronounce thee husband and wife," he answered. "You may now kiss the bride."
Polly stood waiting, wondering if he'd lift the veil and actually kiss her. She didn't expect him to really, but she felt it would complete things. She didn't think he'd actually kiss her, but she hoped he'd at least pretend he was.

Alex watched the whole thing and couldn't believe it. She also couldn't believe K'ratak had beamed down to the planet without permission. She wondered how she was going to deal with him. She wasn't sure she liked having the captain being married off, but she hoped he would take that option instead of just die.
After a little bit, she noticed the klingon had returned, and she sighed telling him she wanted a word with him in the captain’s ready room. Once inside she wondered if she should give some silence to this more than anything giving him time to tell her what he had done and why. Instead she thought it best to go a different route.
“I don’t know why you went down there, and I don’t like it. If you are to be my acting First Officer, then you must realize I need to know what you are doing before you just act. It scared me not knowing where you had disappeared to just like that,” she said and sat down in the nearest seat not caring that it was the couch. She looked up at him, and a smile spread her lips as she remembered the kiss.
“Joan McCormick and I have been talking. She said she received a transmission not too long ago about you. She told me you are going to be a permanent member of this crew. I am just wondering where that leaves us. Earlier we shared something, well I thought it was really nice,” Alex said hoping to finish this.
(K’ratak)
She got noticed of the wedding happening quickly, and sighed. “Looks like we will have to finish this later.”
Alex sat in her dress uniform watching the whole thing. She didn’t like this woman, and wondered how she got the captain to marry her. She wished there were another way for him, and saw how sad he truly was. There was a small party afterwards, but none looked too happy among the ship’s crew. The inhabitants seemed more happy about a party, and Alex wondered how often they got one. She did her best to stick around, and thought about leaving. She did so as soon as was possible hoping to head back to the station. She could feel a headache come on, and she noticed she had been on for one shift too many. Just as she returned, she found the night shift was taking over.
Alex headed to her quarters, and found it wasn’t long before she heard the door chime. She bid the person enter her quarters and found K’ratak standing in her door way.
“Do come in, I don’t bite.”
=^=Nikmud to Bridge. Once everyone who is suppose to be aboard the ship at this time is actually here, set a course back to Conqueror max speed.=^=
“Okay, now what is it I can do for you?” She said addressing him once the link was closed.

"I'm welcomin' th' company until we leave Alcor."Polly stood waiting, wondering if he'd lift the veil and actually kiss her. She didn't expect him to really, but she felt it would complete things. She didn't think he'd actually kiss her, but she hoped he'd at least pretend he was. As the final pronunciation of the wedding was issued, TJ looked down at the teenager standing next to him, and whose eyes were focusing on him. Though she had a high degree of pulchritude, her behavior during the mission had, in his eyes, cancelled it out, and he had no desire to kiss her – not even to seal the ceremony.

Back Post before the wedding
K'ratak: Arrived on the bridge and followed Commander Nikmud into the captains ready room. He noticed she didn't sit in the captain's chair this time she was upset with him this much he could tell.
Looking at the commander and try to figure away to fraise his statement. " Commander I'm sorry I didn't ask you to beam down to the planet. I had receaved Cadet Youngblood's report and was worried about what he was going to do. I refuse to beleave that as your time as first officer that you asked the captain's permission for everthing you'ev done. Youngblood needed some advice befor he acted and I wanted to give it to him in person. As your first officer I'm responsable for the crew that is my first duyt one of which I will be releaved when the captain returns. In the future I will try to inform you of my plans before I act on them"
Then she hit him with something he wasn't counting on a change in his plan.
“Joan McCormick and I have been talking. She said she received a transmission not too long ago about you. She told me you are going to be a permanent member of this crew. I am just wondering where that leaves us. Earlier we shared something, well I thought it was really nice,”
Looking at the commander Nikmud and trying to put a good front as best as he could. " Well why doesn't that shock me so this is going to be my new home. It also doesn't shock me that Commander McCormick had a hand in this. The Empire has longed beleaved she is more then what she says' she is. I will stay Commander and due what I must but my oaths to the empire are still inforced as well as my oath to the federation. Still I have to say being stuck here on a training ship might be intersting. As for you and me well the future is bright and we have a wedding to attend." Pausing for a few moments" I still hope this means instead of rebuffing me in the captain's ready room that we could pick up where we left off in your quarters" smiling
K'ratak: A little while later he was in his dress uniform and sitting down and watching a wedding. He felt sorry for the captain to be forced into this but his name had been cleared and he would be returning to the ship when this was done. He knew this must be hard for the captain but sometime's that was the job of a commanding officer. He thought to himself how many time's have I sent soldier's to die for the empire when I knew they wouldn't win but those were not his choice to make anymore he would not command a ship for a long time and now he had some regrets well at least with nikmud around life wont be boring.
Looking around after the wedding he found Youngblood he didn't look happy but there was nothing anybody could do. " Cadet a word " they walked in silence for a bit " You did good today you made the right choice even thoe it was hard and knew it was wrong. I see a bright future for you maybe one day your own command. Remember today as you move up in the ranks you'll make harder and harder choice's but I think you'll be ready when the time comes. I'll see you on the ship"
A few hours later aboard the ship with nothing to do he went to Nikmud quarters he wasn't sure why but he went any away. He chimed her door and she let him in.
“Okay, now what is it I can do for you?”
Looking at the commander " Oh just one thing" he walked over to her and kissed her a little longer then last time when he pulled back he smiled and with out a nother word he turned and left her quarters before he left he stopped at the door and faced her smiling with a big grin " Sleep well commander I know I will " then he left he needed to talk to the captain but he couldn't keep the smile off his face. Let her have a sleepless night God knows I have.
He found the captain in his ready room he still didn't look happy but that was understandable it wasn't every day you get a wife you can't stand still he wished there was something he could do for him. " Captain if its not to much trouble I would like to have a word with you about my future aboard this ship" <Tag Edwards>

< On the Planet > Cadet Youngblood watched the wedding ceremony. It was hard for the cadet to watch because his captain was being force in to the ceremony without honor. It was a sad day for the crew; they knew their captain and didn’t think this would be his fate. The cadet and several members of the crew stayed for the small gathering after the wedding. The cadet beamed up to Hepta with his captain.
< On board the Hepta > The cadet followed his captain to the bridge and was thinking to himself that this wasn’t over because his captain would still have to answer his action to the federation. They got on the turbo lift headed for the bridge. The cadet halted the turbo lift. “Sir,” “When we arrive to the Starbase It has been an honor serving with you, I would consider it an honor to continue my service with you and this ship.”
(Captain Edwards)
The turbo lift resume and made its way to the bridge. The cadet went to his station to finish up his work. The night shift was coming on duty. When the cadet finished his work, he headed to Ten Forward for a night cap and some company. He left the bridge and got on the turbo left. Deck 10 the cadet said. The cadet walked in to Ten Forward and sat down at a table. The waiter came over to take his order. The cadet said scotch neet. He sat quietly and gazed around the room listening to the soft music.

He found the captain in his ready room; he still didn't look happy, but that was understandable. It wasn't every day you get a wife you can't stand. Still, he wished there was something he could do for him. “Captain, if it’s not too much trouble, I would like to have a word with you about my future aboard this ship.” TJ wasn’t feeling talkative. Who could blame him? But this sounded like something it would be best not to put off, so he turned his attention to Kratak and asked, “An’ what might it be you’re desirin’ t’ know?” The cadet followed his captain to the bridge and was thinking to himself that this wasn’t over because his captain would still have to answer his action to the Federation. They got on the turbolift [and] headed for the bridge. The cadet halted the turbolift. “Sir, when we arrive to the Starbase... It has been an honor serving with you, I would consider it an honor to continue my service with you and this ship.” The Irishman was, despite the sour mood induced by his new and undesired bride, appreciative of the way the cadet had stood by him in this difficult situation. He truly wished he could stay aboard, but this was a training vessel, and it was far more likely that Cadet Youngblood would be assigned to another vessel in the fleet, at least for awhile.
“’Tis not a matter I have control over, cadet,” he answered. “An’ while I might like ye t’ remain on th’ Hepta, Starfleet will be assignin’ ye t’ some other vessel. Later, if ye prefer, when ye come t’ full Lieutenancy, and have spent enough time on the other vessel, ye might consider puttin’ in for a transfer here.”
TJ looked at the young cadet, and his heart warmed. “But th’ one thing I’m wantin’ ye t’ know is that I appreciate th’ effort you’ve put in on me behalf, an’ th’ belief ye maintained in me.”
Youngblood and TJ then continued on in the turbolift until the hatch of the Bridge whooshed! open, then the two entered the command center of the ship.
"Navigator, for some strange reason I'm findin' this area o' space distasteful t' me. As soon as everyone is aboard, let's be gettin' out of here an' returnin' t' starbase as soon as possible."
"Prepared to do so already," was all the girl at the Navigations console replied.

K'ratak: Sat down on the other side of the captains desk. He was grateful that the captain would show himenough respect to talk to him now. After everything they and he had been throught.
“An’ what might it be you’re desirin’ t’ know?”
"First i'm sorry I couldn't stop the wedding I would have if I could but there was just no easy way out not one you could have lived with not to mention I dont think you would have ever forgiven me if i had just beamed you out. The next is my postion aboard the ship, I gave up my own command for this program you are the only person on board who can even understand that. I'm wondering why this ship though I can handle the fact if you requested I remain aboard but I can't handle it. If its politics I know there are people at star fleet lets say who question what i truely am a spy a solider or even a hire killer. I admit that I have not done anything to correct these lines of thoughts" chuckling alittle" but Im sure you understand how handy these differnt identys can come in handy. I will learn alot here maybe even how to obey orders instead of give them" laughing some more
" I will be loyal officer captain but I will not vilolate my oath to the empire. If this ship come's up a klingon vessel I will not help you by giving secert information. I will of course fight with you and die with you but I will not betray my oath to you or the empire. I will man what ever postion you give to the best of my ablity. I would like to keep my uniform if you dont mind I will change to star fleet but I have lived a large portion of my life it and would like to keep wearing it. That pretty much it I hope to learn from you and to teach as well." pausing again
" I know I can get long winded but there is one other thing. If you ever need something that is outside the scope of the federation say a ship or ceration information let me know. I know alot people who owe me favors" <tag edwards

"'Tis thankin' ye I am for your promise o' loyalty, Commander. An' for standin' with me on Alcor as much as ye could.
As t' th' uniform, I'm thinkin' you'll need t' wear Starfleet issue, but if there are any additions t’ it from your own culture ye must wear as a Klingon, or that you’re particularly proud of, you’re welcome t’ add it t’ th’ uniform. The Hepta had been in orbit around the Alcorian satellite for far too long, and TJ was, understandably, anxious to vacate the area.
He took his seat on the Bridge, and looked directly at the crew member at the Navigation console.
“Lieutenant Kewauchi, set in a course for Starbase Conqueror,” he said, relieved at last to be putting distance between himself and his tormentor.
“Course laid in, sir,” said the lieutenant, as her fingers flew over the console.
“Engage.”
A few moments earlier...
Unbeknownst to TJ, the transporter operator pulled the lever to activate the transporter at his station aboard the Hepta. It shimmered briefly, then materialized into a form that he would regret, had he seen it. There on the transporter pad stood Polly O’Shaserra.
Polly had counted on the officer at the control not knowing her by sight, and she had been successful. She smiled at him, then carefully left the transporter room, making her way to what had been her quarters on the way to Alcor, careful to avoid detection.

K'ratak: Left the captain ready room at least now I know where I stand the thought to himself. Still there's Nikmud Iwonder how this will play out she being my new commanding officer. He went to his quarters to change his uniform, arriving at his quarters and chaing into a standard star fleet uniform. After a quick chang and hiding a few things he looked at himself in the starfleet uniform. Thinking to himself its a good thing I work out this uniform doesn't hid anything thats for sure.
he headed for the bridge to start his shift at tatical and stoped by Nikmud quarters he didn't chime but left a rose outside here quarters and left. He reported to the bridge to begain his shift. The captain was already there he could tell he was happy to be leaving manning his station. "Cadet Youngblood report to the bridge I have something I want you to check on for me" <Tag Youngblood>

Alex felt the kiss, and couldn't believe it. She smiled, then got a message from Will Jamison. She realized she was in trouble now, and wondered which she would choose. She knew Will was out there and liked her a lot, and she wondered if she could be with him in a long distance relationship. She also thought about K'ratak, and a smile pressed her lips. ~He is here, he is in the present. I know I will be with him and see him. How will I fix this? Who do I want to be with?~ Alex thought.
She read the message, and thought of telling him about K'ratak and all that has happened to her. She started a message to him, and sighed pausing it.
"I don't know if I can do this. I love him so...." She said to herself, and realized what she had to do. She started the message up again.
"It is good to see you are doing so well. I hope things continue to go well for you. Maybe on your next leave we can get together and spend some time together. I really miss you. Let me know when you are off next. I will come out."
Alex sent the message, and then went to bed.
The next day she saw K'ratak on the bridge and a smile lept to her lips. She couldn't help feeling the way she did around him. ~Well, I don't have to choose just yet which I like to keep around. Its not like either are proposing to me. Oh what a thought!~ Alex thought, and sat down in her seat. She noticed the indent, and sighed knowing fully well who to blame.

< Ten Forward > Cadet Youngblood went to Ten Forward to unwind, after a few drinks. The cadet always likes to go and socialize, but mostly to unwind. As he was about to leave to turn in a young woman about 21 years of age came up to him and they just started to talk. While listening to her he thought to himself that they had much in common. It was getting a bit late so he had to cut the conversation short. He told the ensign goodnight and said to her that he wanted to try to see again. He told her that he was heading back to the Starbase and waiting for a new assignment and didn’t think it was possible. He said goodnight and left Ten Forward. The cadet headed for his quarters, He got on the turbo lift and said deck 8. The turbo lift stopped at deck 8 and the doors slid open. The cadet headed down the corridor and to his surprise he saw the diplomat Polly O’Sharerra. He walked towards her and stopped to speak. Miss O’Sharerra, replied the cadet. “I thought you were going to stay on Alcor. I had no idea that you were aboard? Does the Captain know you are here?
(Polly) < Cadet Youngblood Quarters>After talking with the teenager the cadet went to his quarters. He sat down at his desk and got on his computer. The cadet had to finish up his report to the Chief of Security at the Starbase. After working on it for a few hours he decided to turn in. The next morning the cadet woke up the usual time and did his morning routine and got dress in his uniform. After he got dress his comm. badge beeped. “Cadet Youngblood report to the bridge I have something I want you to check on for me" The cadet tapped his comm. Badge and said “on my way.”
<On the Bridge>
The cadet left his quarters and headed to the bridge. The turbo lift stopped at the bridge and the doors slid open. The cadet saw Commander K'ratak at the tactical/security station. He stood at attention and said to his Commander. “Cadet Youngblood reporting as ordered Sir.”
(Commander K'ratak)

OFF: I am growing tired of having to repeat myself. Polly is NOT a diplomat herself...she's a diplomat's daughter!
ON:
Polly turned to smile at Youngblood. "I wouldn't miss your graduation for the world cadet Youngblood," she answered, "and I do hope Thomas knows I am aboard. I did send him a message that I would be beaming aboard. However I didn't go visit him straight away."
She moved her gaze from Yahnie to the floor as her cheeks flushed in embarassment. "I wished to avoid the scorn of the crew," she admitted, "I can't blame them, not after what I've done to my husband. But I am really trying to make amends with him." She held up a PADD and a small package that smelled rather deliciously. "And I brought him a gift. Would you escort me to his quarters?"
In truth, even though she rather expected the cadet to arrest her, she felt safer with him present and knew he'd escort her as she requested. "Thank you," she said sincerely as she knocked on TJ's door. Upon hearing 'enter' she went through the door.
When she saw TJ's surprised expression, she flinched and took a step back. "I take it you didn't get my message?" she asked, as she held out the PADD and the package. "I brought you a gift," she continued, "and I hope you'll like them both. On the PADD you'll find a file with the exact reasons as to why I did to you what I've done. Including some very serious accusations against my own father. Do with it as you see fit. In the package you'll find a traditional meal from your home country. I have prepared it myself using materials grown in my mother's garden."
She motioned towards a chair. "May I sit?" she asked, keeping some distance between herself and the captain. She knew he had to come to her, and not the other way around. Any such moves on her side could be taken as aggressive and she understood TJ's distrust and dislike of her. By keeping her distance, she hoped he understood she was serious about her intents and her promises made. "With your permission, I'd like to attend the graduation of your security cadet. I'll understand if you say no."

K'ratak: was manning his station when he saw nikmud take her seat. He smile alittle he knew the seat had indents from his use. " I hope the commander slept well, would you like me to have a new seat put in for you commander? " smiling a little.
He looked down and checked his read outs when he saw the transport beam somebody aboard just before the jumped to warp. Checking the logs he saw who it was and sent the information to the captain that Polly was aboard. He didn't want to say it out loud he figured this was now a personal matter for the captain.
when he looked up from his scans he saw cadet Youngblood standing in front of him
“Cadet Youngblood reporting as ordered Sir.
Turning to face the cadet and smiling. " Cadet I still need to get settled and finish up some personal things. Until we reach star base you are now in charge of tatical and security. I'm sure that after everything we'ev been thourgh this should be a walk in the park. If you need anything just call me okay"<tag Younblood>

When [Polly] saw TJ's surprised expression, she flinched and took a step back. “I take it you didn't get my message?” Shocked surprise was TJ’s first response upon seeing Polly O’Shaserra aboard the Hepta, but was quickly replaced with a frown. He had thought he had finally gotten rid of her – at least until he was honor-bound to return to Alcor for a visit.
“I received no message,” was all he said in answer to her opening statement, but the frown on his face and the tension that instantly filled the air of his cabin spoke volumes. [Polly] held out the PADD and the package. “I brought you a gift,” she continued, “and I hope you'll like them both. On the PADD you'll find a file with the exact reasons as to why I did to you what I've done. Including some very serious accusations against my own father. Do with it as you see fit. In the package you'll find a traditional meal from your home country. I have prepared it myself using materials grown in my mother's garden.” Cautiously he took the PADD from his wife and glanced over it with an occasional suspicious look back to her. He set it on a desk and took the other package. She motioned towards a chair. “May I sit?” she asked, keeping some distance between herself and the captain. ... “With your permission, I'd like to attend the graduation of your security cadet. I'll understand if you say no.” “Have yourself a seat at th’ table,” he instructed her with a cold formality. He swiftly brought out two place settings and, placing one in front of Polly, dished out the items in the dinner box, figuring it would be safest to have her eat first. He couldn’t help it, but he did have a fear he couldn’t shake that she very well could have “altered” the contents of the meal. He put some on the second place setting and took a seat before it, far from Polly’s reach.
“Th’ craftsman should partake in his – or her – work as well,” he explained as he waited. “Begin, an’ I’ll be followin’.”
