Firestorm gazed down at his patient, then scratched behind his ears in wonder. "I don't know cadet," he started, "there isn't much left of that phaser and I really don't think you should be holding on to anything right now. That weapon exploded in your hands, you're lucky to still have hands at that."
When Ardawen insisted, Firestorm sighed and went to retrieve the molten and twisted remains of what once was a phaser pistol. "But I am not handing it to you," he insisted, "you can look at it, but I'm holding on to it for you. You can examine it when I have examined your injuries tomorrow."
(Ardawen)
Just as Firestorm was about to respond, the official CMO, Alex Nikmud stepped in. "Ah doctor," Firestorm called, somewhat chidingly, "have you come in to check up on the substitute?" His tail coiled in delight, but people had to know him to be able to read his moods off his tail.

Ardawen did not agree with the doctor, he had to know something she did not understand how important it was.
"doctor please we must, work out a way for me to examine the phaser maybe you can get someone to assist me"
The doctor looked at him with a strange look. "doctor please it might me important."

Alex found her shift ended, and she sighed leaving her station to the next person. It seemed that things were going okay for now. She wandered around, and realized she had yet to see the inside of sickbay this whole trip. Alex couldn't remember the last time she had a physical, and thought now was as good a time as any.
The trip down to sickbay was quiet, giving her time to think about all that had happened so far this mission and last. She wasn't sure she liked having to deal with cloaked vessels, and she felt she was in over her head on this. She entered sickbay to find the good doctor was in.
Alex chuckled. "No, I'm not here to check up on you. I thought you would be able to check me though, or maybe your cadet. I haven't had a good physical in a little while, so I am probably way past due. Unless for some reason you are way too busy?"
(Firestorm)
"Well, while I'm here, how are things going? Who is that over there? He looks like some cadet," Alex said not realizing they had a casualty already.
Williams returned to engineering to help create this new scanner. It seemed that there was enough power provided, and she worked the best she could to get things set up. There were a few problems with trying to stimulate the net correctly, but after a couple of hours, they had it set up and running properly. The end of the net wasn't at any one given point for too long, and Williams hoped that they would catch who they were looking for.
Lt. Williams headed to get reports from the rest of her teams.

"My cadet," Firestorm replied, while holding on on to the phaser as the injured cadet inspected it, "funny you should say that. It seems all three of them jumped ship. None of them have reported for duty and none of them are answering hails to report for duty. I'm debating having security look into it, but with them being busy tracking down that poor captain..."
The Sivaoan trailed off. "Please seat yourself on that biobed, I'll be with you shortly." He gazed back down at Ardawen. "I'm afraid I have a little work to do now, but I'll be back later to assist you."
(Ardawen)
However, before he went to Alex, Firestorm tapped the combadge that was hidden in his fur. "Sickbay to O'Connor. Any word yet on getting the corpse beamed to sickbay? I really can't leave here now, I've got injured people down here that need my attention."
(O'Connor)
Now, the newcomer had Firestorm's full attention. "Any allergies or recent injuries?" he asked the actual CMO, while he waved a scanner over her.
"Uh..oh," he started, "computer, raise level 5 containmentfield around patient on biobed three and decontaminate both people in containmentfield." His gaze locked on Alex's. "What've you been doing lately?" he querried as he turned his tricorder around for her to see. "You've been infected with the Rigellian flu. Now, it's still only in the early stages, but it's virulence is high. Who've you been with since contracting this? Where could you have contracted it? I need to see everyone you've been with since then..."
(Alex.......now this could've been fun for one of my cadets!)

irritated Ardawen sank back to his bio-bed, he closed his eyes. again and again he saw his phaser shake and blow, this could not happen with starfleet material, if was not mistaken it was always checked before a starship leaves.
He closed his eyes to see the whole thing again, to see if his phaser was hit, but he was sure it was not. There could be only one way, this had happened, someone must have mest with the pasher.
But if his phaser was messed with, other phasers would be to. That was the reason he had to see his phaser. But he could not tell the doctor, not jet.
When he wanned to call the doctor, he saw the containment field closing him down.
When the doctor moved away from commander Nikmud.
DOC, please the life's of everyone firing a phaser, are at risk you must believe me.

Alex heard the news and she couldn't believe her ears.
"I don't know doctor. I was on the last mission for this ship, but I don't believe I had it then. Must have happened some time between graduation and now, although nothing comes to mind. I haven't seen a lot of people since then, and the ones I have seen are on this ship. I was in the briefing, and then I was with the Chief Engineer. I was on the bridge, and I also was met up at my station by a cadet taking the chief away. A bit later Lt. Williams came to assist me. I met no one in the turbolift here, and the walk to sickbay was lonely as no one passed me in the corridors. I view both of those as good though," Alex said reviewing her activities with the doctor.
Alex hated sickbay, and wished she could leave. She knew better though. ~I don't want anyone else to get sick from this.~ She thought feeling guilty about getting those she had been around of the crew sick.
Sheeta had walked up to the bridge in her funny looking suit, and hoped not to scare anyone like last time. She noticed a cadet with some officer and another cadet. She walked over to him.
"Hello, would you happen to be Tiberian Wong? I was told to train him, but I have been having such a difficult time locating him," she said.
(tiberian)
"Good, I was hoping it was you. You are my cadet now, and we will begin with what you know of what is going on. I realize we have had intruders, and what counter measures were taken. What do you have to report?" Sheeta said quickly before Chan could say anything.
"Miss Officer, if you have something to say, say it, or rather tell your commanding officer if you don't approve. It is from him I recieved this," Sheeta said in her monotone voice, and then turned back to her cadet for the reply.

[The lab rat] rose to his feet and immediately noticed her provocative uniform, if you could call it that, for more of it was missing than present. She didn’t have to pour on any feigned charm for Orion female pheromones did all her work for her. His reaction was immediate. ... He had been correct. It was going to be difficult – VERY difficult. He had read about these women, so skilled in seduction, and hoped – no, prayed – that he might hold out against her wiles. TJ swallowed hard, unsure if he would be able to manage that. Already, he could feel himself slipping. Xia circled him slowly, giving him more time to breathe in her elixir. She marveled at his restraint. Only after a single bead of perspiration appeared on his upper lip did she speak.
“I am Xia, First Officer of this vessel and your captor. I would like to be on more familiar terms with you,” she intoned seductively. “You’re obviously human. But, what are you are called?” He could feel her eyes penetrating him... and such eyes! Twin exotic pools of such hypnotically beautiful depth they could drown multiple suns. He could feel perspiration forming on his face.
Trying desperately – though at times unsuccessfully – to keep his eyes off of this exquisite verdant creature, he croaked mechanically, "Thomas Jason Edwards, Captain, USS Hepta is all I'm required t' be tellin' ye, ma'am."
His gaze traveled from her face downward to her legs before he caught himself with a start, and once again faced forward, trying not to look at the Orion officer.

Darting between two biobeds, attending to Nikmud and listening the injured cadet, Firestorm was starting to get exhausted. "Why don't you alert Security chief Chang," Firestorm suggested, "the computer will hear you when you call for her. I will be with you soon to help you further but right now I have an infectious disease on my hands."
(ardawen)
The Sivaoan turned back to Nikmud, while he reached for a hypospray and a strangely coloured vial. He snapped the vial into the hypospray and pressed it against her throat. "Ryetalin," he stated, rather unneseccarily, as she was a doctor herself. "Take a few hours bedrest, though I will confine you to quarantine, and after that we'll evaluate you again. In the mean time I'm going to call everyone who's been in contact with you to sickbay."
(Nikmud)
Firestorm turned back to Ardawen. "Seems I have a little security issue on my hands too. Perhaps you can help me." He gave the cadet the Sivaoan variant of a smile as he tapped hs combadge. "Sickbay to security. I need to know who has been in contact with Commander Nikmud over the last 48 hours. She's been infected with the Rigellian flu. As of now, this ship's under quarantine until everyone has been checked for this disease. It is highly contageous, and extremely dangerous."
(Chang/tiberian?)
He paused. "Let's hope Captain Edwards has not contracted it....though on second thought, let's hope he has....more fun for whoever captured him. Now, Cadet Ardawen has something of an issue too. His phaser exploded in his hands and he believes all phasers may be a danger to use. I'll let him explain."

"I'll explain when commander Chan arrives doctor, but in the mean time think of this. How big is the change that this happens with starfleet equipment, right when one of the most dishonest people in the Galaxy attack?"
[TAG doctor]
=^= Ardawen to commander Chan please report to sickbay, I might found out something important that effects anyone with a phaser =^=
[Tag Chan]
while awaiting the arrival of commander Chan, Ardawen walked back to his biobed to get some meditation. It wasn't even a Forest or a holo Forest or even q little holo tree but it had to do.
He knew that in meditation state his body would heal, faster then while he was talking and moving.
He sat down and cleared his head, slowly his mind was slipping away fader and fader so that he had to be waked when commander Chan would arrive. His mind an spirit weren't in sickbay anymore not even on the Hepta. He was in peace with himself, all alone just the way he liked it.
This time he walked past a small stream, there where all kind of animals drinking from it, bunny's, deers, squirrels and many more. He knew that they noticed him, but they stayed where they where and did not ran away.
Ardawen walked to the stream and began to drink with the animals, he was feeling perfectly happy

Jamison wasn't sure who this new instructor was but he could fell the tension between her and Commander Chan. They spoke as if they didn't know each other but Jamison couldn't help but feel as if they had been enemies for a long time. It just seemed like he sensed alot of hostility.
Sheeta stood there waiting for Wongs report. Commander Chan was about to ask a question when she was contacted by Cadet Ardawen from sickbay.
Jamison could hear the importance in Aradwen voice and decided to break the silence.
"Ma'am. I could go to sickbay and get his report if you need to handle things here." said Jamison

After a nice long workout, she headed for the shower, and then up to the bridge. She wanted some of her questions answered, and knew this was the time to do that.
Once at the Ops station, she looked over the plans she had purchased for the ship, and also the security plans. ~Things should have gone to plan, but wait. This was wrong in their computer. It should have been a dropped.... Oh, so that's what happened.~ She thought realizing the plans she bought had been faulty. Someone walked up to her.
"Working hard?" she heard and looked up.
"Just trying to answer some of my questions. Remind me later that I need to head back to Hulanic 12 and shoot a man," she said, which made the guy chuckle.
"Now why doesn't that surprise me. Man you came close to being shot down there, and then that guy was thrown backwards. I've never seen anything like it. What happened?" Jack said looking at her.
"Oh that, it was easy enough. I have this device that can send a wave variance through any weapon, and it heats it up just right to make it explode. It works wonders when you are trying to get out of a place like that without being shot. No you may not have anything like that either," she said cutting him off knowing he wanted one.
"Aw, your no fun. You keep all the really good stuff to yourself," Jack said and shook his head.
"I am plenty of fun, and of course I do. What kind of pirate would I be if I shared the dangerous stuff with you guys. If I give those out, the next thing you know we would have a mutiny. You even think about doing that, and I will make sure your head ends up in the worst possible place in any galaxy," she threatened, and he put his hands up palms out and open toward her.
"Hey, I wasn't born yesterday. Going against you is dangerous enough," he said making a smile appear on her lips.
"Yup, you earned that nickname alright, now Lips, get out of my site. I've had enough flattery for the next three years," she said the smile disappearing. He also disappeared as fast as he could get out of her site.

Xia arched one slender eyebrow. The captive’s value had just increased and she was rapidly calculating the booty equivalent for a Starfleet Captain.
“A Captain,” she breathed with open excitement playing on her features. She continued circling him, lost in thought. Nature took over and her pheromone levels increased with her jubilant musings of massive profits. She glanced up at the all-seeing eye trained on them and swore under her breath. Had it not been for those watching her every move, she would have kept this piece of information to herself, negotiating and obtaining a ransom for his return and gaining the proceeds alone.
A slight moan from the Starfleet Officer returned her deliberations to him. She faced him once again, moistened her dark, red lips seductively and instinctually knew he was succumbing to her charms. That he had resisted her thus far was admirable and Xia couldn’t help but revere him for his inner strength.
Edwards trembled slightly as Xia moved closer. With the feral behavior with which she was genetically imprinted, Xia leaned in to his chest, the top of her head just meeting up with his chin, and she breathed in his scent deeply. She emitted a low, rumbling cat-like purr and reached up her hand to stroke his neck but stopped short of touching him. The sweat now dripping profusely from his brow, Xia saw how the Starfleet Captain closed his eyes and gritted his teeth, trying with all his might to ignore her erotic titillation.
She drew back her hand. Once she touched him, it would be over. Her admiration for him would evaporate as he gave over to his lusts and, for the first time in her life, Xia wondered what winning this game would gain.
Puzzled and flustered by her own response to this human, Xia motioned to the guard who snapped off the barrier allowing her to pass through. She strapped on her weapons, gave Edwards one last furtive glance and was gone.

The arrival of this new officer threw Tiberian somewhat off balance. Having been passed somewhat subconciously from Captain Lohnen on to Commander Chan, he had been more accustomed to serving as a makeshift tactical cadet. Hoping to make up for lost first impressions, as soon as she addressed him, he snapped rigidly to attention, saying. "Sir... er, I mean Ma'am, I mean Commander, Captain, General damn it!" Giving up any pretence at knowing who this new officer was, or how to address her, he simply stood more rigidly to attention, and for no good reason, offered a salute. The new officer then continued: "Good, I was hoping it was you. You are my cadet now, and we will begin with what you know of what is going on. I realize we have had intruders, and what counter measures were taken. What do you have to report?" Before Commander Chan could interrupt, she then continued: "Miss Officer, if you have something to say, say it, or rather tell your commanding officer if you don't approve. It is from him I recieved this" Astounded that this officer had the courage to stand up to Commander Chan, a feat that Tiberian would avoid unless absolutely neccessary, the new arrival had won Tiberians immediate respect, and so he set about winning hers: "Ma'am, as I was just telling Commander Chan and Will, sorry, Cadet Jamison, I believe that an infiltrator sabotaged the transporter inhibition grid we erected. He produced a padd from atop the console beside him, and handed it to the officer: "Ma'am this contains detailed notes of all measures taken to repel borders, my personal report on the assault, and my findings upon investigation" having related all this, he once again snapped to attention. ((OOC: Sorry I'm a bit confused, Commander Nikmud, how do I address Sheeta, rank, race, surname, etc, etc. P.S if you haven't all worked it out, I'm back, I'll be posting to cancel my leave of absence. Sorry, I didn't think that hotels in Hong Kong might have internet access))

Firestorm listened intently as Ardawen tried to explain what was going on. "I wish I had Snowfall with me now," he muttered, scowling under his breath, "she'd know." He looked up at Ardawen. "I would assume the chances are very slim," he agreed, then snapped off the stabilizing field that held down Ardawen, after Firestorm had decided nothing else would keep the young man lying down on his bed.
"You had better hurry and inform her as I don't see her coming down to sickbay anytime soon. Be sure to inform Commander O'Connor too." Before Ardawen could get up and jump off the bed, Firestorm jammed a hypospray against his arm, rather unkindly but not intended as such. "A stimulant," he explained, "and I want you back here in sickbay in two hours, or I am going to have you dragged back here and restained. Capice?"
(Ardawen)
When the young man had darted from sickbay, as fast as he could despite his barely healed injuries, Firestorm turned back to Nikmud. "I am going to start you on Ryetalyn," he stated, "you may co-ordinate your work efforts from isolation ward three." Firestorm gave the computer a set of instructions and uttered a string of complex authorization codes and seconds later Nikmud disappeared from the containmentfield and re-appeared in IW3. "If your cadet needs you, this is where you'll be for the next few days. As I said, you can work, you do not appear ill, but as you are contagious, you cannot leave."
(Nikmud)
Firestorm tapped his combadge. "Attention this is a medical alert. Anyone who has been in contact with Doctor Nikmud over the past forty-eight hours should report to sickbay for check-up. We have the Rigellian flu aboard...which is a deadly disease but can be cured. I repeat, we have the Rigellian flu aboard. It is deadly and highly contageous. Anyone having been in contact with Doctor Nikmud report to sickbay immediately! I am placing this ship under quarantine; no-one is to board or disembark this vessel!"

"Go ahead cadet, we will need every bit of information to figure out what happened when the captain was taken," she said looking over some information that Wong had found. She was shocked at some of the intel.
"Cadet Wong, when was this information found?" Sheeta said hoping it hadn't been too long ago.
Alex didn't like being in isolation, but she accepted the fact. She set up a base, and was looking over how the new net was working. She also transferred anything else she had been working on, like how else to find and disable this cloaked vessel.
A couple of hours later, Alex hadn't made any headway, and got up to stretch taking a break from reviewing data.
Josh heard the message and sighed. "Alright, everyone who has been in contact with Alex Nikmud I want to know now. We need to make sure to cure this thing, so we can get back to our mission. Ops and engineering are to work together to find a way to track that ship. I want answers as to why we haven't found them yet, and how we are going to find their current location. Security, I want you to figure a plan on how we are going to rescue our captain as soon as we find that ship. Inform me when you have anything," he said and looked around hoping that no one on the bridge had had any contact with the woman.
"Sir, Alex Nickmund was on the bridge at one point. I think we were all infected," one of the crew piped up.
"Well with that information then, all bridge crew to sickbay. Get a check up and get back here asap." He said moving to pay a visit to the doctor.
A while later he returned to the bridge finding he was healthy. ~Thank goodness for my immune system, or whatever has saved me from that.~ He thought, and sat down in the command chair.
"Report."

Coming to attention once again, wondering if he had begun to look like an idiot yet, and said in reply to her question: "Less than one half hour ago ma'am. I came to report the findings immediately. Should I go to intruder alert and assemble my marine team, or stay lower profile. And Ma'am..." He once again paused with embarrassing uncertainty "Would the officer please grant me the honour of her name and rank" He immediately turned a startling shade of beetroot at this, using all his training and discipline to stop himself from throwing angry glances, or even punches, at Commander Chan and Cadet Jamison, both of whom appeared to be restraining laughter.
((OOC: Sorry if this post is a bit short. The internet charges over here are ridiculous. Not wishing to be rude, but are any other senior officers or cadets, other than the apparent loyal retainers, going to post anything?))

Jamison was still on the bridge when the doctors page was announced. He couldn't remember being around a Doctor Nikmud person but he had been on the whole ship helping set up the inhibitors. He suppose he could have bumped into them at anytime.
"Ma'am. I'm not sure if I meet Doctor or not as I was working around the ship. I think I should report just to be safe." Will also saw this as a way to get out of there before he lost all composure and started laughing at tiberian. He know a person could turn such shades of red.
"That will be fine cadet. Just return to the bridge as soon as possible."
Jamison turned and headed for the lift. When he reached sickbay, there were a few people already there. He found a nurse and reported to her.
"I'm not sure if I had contact with the doctor or not but I thought it safest to come in anyhow."
"That's fine." replied the nurse. "The doctor will be with you in a moment."
She must have noticed the confused look on Jamison's face because she quickly added, "A different Doctor."

Firestorm approached from the other side of main sickbay rubbing his paws as if he was glad to have patients to work on. In reality he was working to rub the alcohol stench off his fur, wrinkling his nose at the horrible scent. Earlier he'd knocked a whole bottle of alcohol over, the majority of it ending up on his fur.
"Can I help you?" he asked, looking at the young man talking to the nurse. By the heated look on his face he'd either been running very fast to get to sickbay or he'd been horribly embarassed earlier.
"The quarantine," the cadet replied.
"Aha," Firestorm answered, suddenly all business. "This way please. I'm very sorry to pull you away from your duties, but Rigellian fever is extremely dangerous."
The Sivaoan doctor waved his scanner over the young man, mumbling something from time to time, but such that the cadet didn't catch it all. "You seem to be fine, however just to be safe I'm going to give you a shot of Ryetalyn. If you feel any ill-effects, no matter how minor, you're to get back in here on the double. Got that? I don't care how busy you may be, or whether your instructor will get angry or annoyed. I am the doctor here, not them."
(Jamison)
In the mean time, Firestorm was still waiting for the corpses to arrive. And he couldn't wait to get his claws on the culprits who had abducted their captain.

Ardawen was walking trough the the hallway to commander Chan, when his combage beeped.
"Cadet Knight, there is a message for you", irritated Ardawen closed his eyes, why did they alway forgot he did not want to hear his last name.
"Yes, can you link it to my combage?"
His combage cracked for a moment, "Cadet Ardawen?" Ardawen opened his eyes, he already liked the one on the other side. "that me SIR" Ardawen replyed happily.
"You got to report to the USS Hanson A.S.P" Ardawen looked strange "The Hanson? but I'm already on the USS Hepta" sayed Ardawen. "We know, but you have to security issue"
"Security issue? what do you mean"
"Top secret I'm afraid"
"OK tell the Hanson I'll take a shuttle right away, first have to get my stuff"
"No need cadet already done, it's ready in cargo bay 1, Hanson out"
Ardawen had to think for a few minutes, in his eyes it was a good chance to proof him self, unlike here.
He tapped his badge "Ardawen to commander Chan, I'm afraid I'll have to leave the hepta, I'm ordered to go to the Hanson. Sorry Ma'am
<TAG Chan>
He tapped his badge again, "Ardawen to Firestorm, sorry Sir I'm ordered to go to the Hanson right now, Can you inform the doctor on The Hanson how my conditions are, and if you look at the phaser together with Chan look at the burn marks in the cooling device, if the come from the back of the phaser, it was the phasers failure. But when the burn marks come from the front of the phaser it was something else"
<TAG Firestorm>
For the last time he tapped his com badge. "Ardawen to Jamison, I have to leave the Hepta, You'll be on your own my friend, good luck"
"Ardawen out"
Ardawen slowly walked to the cargo bay. Looking around, finding it a shame he had to leave so soon.
When he came to the cargo bay he saw a shuttle ready to go, with his stuff ready.
He started the craft. and contact the bridge, shuttle 10-2-3 to bridge, do I got permission to departure?
"Bridge to shuttle 10-2-3 you have permission"
Ardawen started the shuttle and slowly flew away from the hepta, when he was far away, he talked to the computer, computer warp 2"
And so Ardawen left the Hepta to leave the Hanson

Sheeta heard what he had said, and realized she had forgotten her manners.
"I apologize, cadet, I don't know where my manners disappeared to. I am Sheeta, and don't worry about the rank. I prefer just my name. Rank for myself means nothing to me. Just a way of showing people they can't always boss me around," she said and then came the announcement from the doctor then the one in command.
"Alright cadet, you go down now, get checked out. If you are able to return come back quickly, if not notify me," Sheeta said and took the station as he got up.
Sheeta felt lucky, she was the only one who was safe from these diseases. She often felt left out because she was in her little cylinder, usually in some ships engineering. She was glad one of the engineers had built the suit she was using to get around the ship instead of being trapped. She wondered if anyone had noticed the stomach area where she really was.
Sheeta had hoped no one would feel strange around an alien race that needed to often be in some type of fluid to survive. She checked a few things, and wondered what kind of plan they would need to rescue their captain.
=^=Sheeta to Nikmud. I need to know what kind of ship we are dealing with, and what you know about it.=^=
=^=Very well, Sheeta, I will send everything to your current console. It should be in seconds. Nikmud out.=^=
Just as promised, specs of galaxy class ships was on her console. ~A galaxy, well we have our work cut out for us then. I wonder if this ship was stolen, and if it might be a Federation ship. That would be lucky for us, we could find the exact specs and discover any weaknesses with that ship.~ Sheeta thought, and started to look to see if any galaxy ships had been reported stolen.
Alex made sure to get the correct information to Sheeta, and then laid down for a little bit. Her head was hurting her, and she felt she couldn't work any more. She got as comfortable, and closed her eyes. It wasn't long before she was fast asleep.

Jamison left sickbay and headed back to the bridge. While he was in the lift, his badge chimed.
"Good luck to you, also my friend. Gods speed." Jamison replied.
Will hadn't known the other cadet for long but he was sure that he was someone that he could count as a friend.
The lift door slide open and Jamison found himself back at the bridge. He was exiting the lift just as Cadet Wong was entering.
"I'm headed to sickbay now. I had contact with Dr. Nikmud." said Wong. "I left my report at my station with Sheeta. Fill free to access it and read it over. We may be cadets but we are still Security/Marines. We need to figure out who tampered with our inhibitors and why if we plan to get the captain back."
"I'll give it my full attention. Just let me know what happens in sickbay. They were a little crowded down there earlier. I guess that doctor was all over the ship."
Wong entered the lift and as the door slide shut, Jamison headed toward the security station.
"Hello ma'am. I'm Cadet Will Jamison in Tac/Sec. Is there anything I can do to help?"

Having finished talking to Will, Tiberian walked briskly towards sickbay. Entering he saw the Sivoan doctor rubbing his paws frantically. Deciding to introduce himself to this unfamiliar officer, Tiberian attempted a joke, saying: "Doc' really. You haven't been on te catnip again have you?" He did not seem amused.
<TAG Firestorm>
"Er... anyway" Tiberian continued nervously "No need for any work up. There was an outbreak of Rigellian flu on Qo'nos whilst I lived there. I got it pretty bad, but now I've got immunity, so that's that" Deciding that his work on the bridge was now a top priority. Tiberian swiftly returned, walking in to see Sheeta and Cadet Jamison in conversation. Not wishing to interrupt, he returned to the tactical console, to try and access the computer records.

Seth was finally done at the convention of Vulcan navigation. Since he didn't have any cadets in his department he seized the opportunity to brush up on his skills at the convention that happened to be on Vulcan.
It had been a while though since Seth had contact with the Hepta, and he decided that the time had come to return to the ship. He wondered why they didn't call him to say that they were heading back to the starbase, and with a PADD full of new helmsystems and tactics, Seth got seated in his one-man shuttle. He looked at a blinking light on the console and noticed that he didn't order the computer to forward the messages to his commbadge.
"Computer, were there any messages delivered during my absence?" Seth informed, and a text message appeared on screen, asking Seth to bring a carefully-wrapped-package with him to the Hepta. He instantly knew that they referred to a body and went back to the buildings of the dock again to pick up the 'package'.
"I'm sorry sir," the officer on duty told him, "this box is not to leave Vulcan soil, and if you respect our traditions you won't object."
Seth nodded and decided not to object. As he left the room he switched the tags of the box and a nearby crate, containing medkits and supplies, and as he once again was seated in his shuttle he ordered the transfer of the 'medical supplies' to his shuttle, forwarding some self-written orders with the captain's signature. However some problems arised and Seth wasn't able to leave the dock at all.
"Commander," the reply came, "Your ship is under quarantine, no people are to leave or enter the ship because it is infected with Rigellian flu. Furthermore, your captain has been abducted and cannot possibly have signed those orders. I am afraid that we will have to transport you to our brig until the investigations are rounded up and we can decide what to do with people who forge orders."
Seth was flabbergasted, whoever was sitting there was far too clever to hold such a low rank.
"First of all, please check the date of the order mister." Seth replied, forming the words as he spoke. "It was given before I arrived here and long before the captain was supposedly abducted. And what harm would it do for me to enter the ship? It wouldn't break the quarantine and they are low on stock in sickbay. Consider your objections noted. You have correctly informed me of the quarantine and it is my own responsibility that I enter the Hepta."
"If you wish sir." the officer on duty responded.
"Now can I have the cargo and the departure clearance if you please?" Seth asked a bit blunt, but he knew that he had to pull his ranks. "Any second could cost innocent lives, and I CAN hold you responsible for that. Commander Bern out."
Within minutes he landed the shuttle in the Hepta's shuttlebay and he entered the hallway, which didn't smell as clean as usual. Heading for the bridge, Seth tapped his commbadge to announce the arrival of his 'package'.
=^=This is commander Seth Bern to doctor Firestorm, I am currently back on the Hepta with the cargo you requested. I had to get it via a small detour, and I hope that it is worth the Vulcan aggravation once they find out what trick I pulled on them.=^=
<<Firestorm>>
=^=Keep me up to date with any findings. Bern out.=^=
The turboliftdoors opened and Seth stepped onto the bridge, addressing the first cadet in sight.
"Excuse me?" Seth asked, waiting for the cadet to finish his conversation with another officer and then tapping the cadet on his shoulder "Could you give me an update as to what has been happening around here during my absence?"

Jamison turned and came face to face with yet ANOTHER commander. (~How many commanders are on this tub?~)he thought.
"Sir!", Jamison began "We left the starbase and were headed to Vulcan so the doctor could examine a Vulcan corpse. In route, we were warned of a possible pirate boarding. The marine cadets and starfleet security cadets place transport inhibitors all over the ship to limit access and try to force the pirates into a cargo bay but someone tampered with the inhibitors and allowed the pirates to board. During the fight, a cadet was wounded and the captain was taken hostage. Marine Cadet Wong has found some information about the inhibitors and we are currently following up on that situation while also trying to track th pirates and rescue the captain."
"Where is this Cadet Wong, now Mr. Jamison?" asked the commander.
"He had to report to sickbay, sir. He had been in contact with Dr Nikmud so he went to get checked out for the Rigellian flu that has quarantined the ship."
"Dr. Nikmud?" asked the commander. What does she have to do with the flu?"
"She's the one that brought it aboard the ship, sir." replied Jamison.
Just has Jamison finished, the turbo lift door opened and out stepped Wong.
"Actually, here is Cadet Wong now, commander."

Tiberian had been completely unaware of the new Commanders presence, until Will had mentioned him by name. Turning sharply on the spot and snapping to attention, he addressed the new arrival, saying: "Sir, Cadet 4th Class Tiberian Wong, Commander Bern, Sir" Tiberian said, remebering the events of the staff meeting, whilst also noting that no senior officer seemed to hold a rank below Lt. Commander. "Sir, we are under the impression that an officer of some substantial rank has been interfering with the ships security systems" He produced a padd, containing yet another copy of his report, thinking he should hire a publisher, given its popularity. "Said officer is apparently quite gifted in computer science, as he has been able to run rings around the most senior staff members and the main computer. I am currently examining crew records to ascertain whether anyone has such capabilities, within the appropriate rank bracket. Given we can also gauge that the pirate vessel is a stolen Defiant Class vessel, I am also examining theft records" He paused for breath before continuing "Cadet Jamison and I believe that following these lines of enquiry will aid us in locating the Captain. Any assistance or expertise that could be offered would be greatly appreciated, Sir" <TAG Commander Bern>
