Mission 5.1 A Purrrfect Break
After all the hardships of the past year and noticeably the past few weeks on Earth, the remaining, shipless, senior crew is in dire need of a break. In gratitude of their part in the uncovering and the stopping of the conspiracy killing the Federation president and plunging it into a civil war, the remaining senior crew is assigned to a new ship, the Nevada-B.
Reinstated in rank and position, (with some promotions and transfers as well) the crew is given the chance to unwind and relax on a fully paid vacation on Risa. Meanwhile the old Akira-class vessel is being fitted and prepped for active duty again.
Even shortly after arriving they encounter big shot celebrity Karin Valentino in the foyer making a fuss about her kidnapped pet, but she's definitely not the only somewhat weird character spending some time on Risa around this time of year.
As the crew sets of on their own series of little adventures there can be little doubt they will meet some of them.
This mission is what we going to call an open mission. That means the crew can pretty much do what they want, provided they stick to the provided guidelines. The idea is that crew member either individually or (ideally) in teams come up with their own mini-story and carry it out.

Though each team/person is doing their own little story, interaction between story lines can create some variation and inspiration and is therefore encouraged.
In order to prevent confusion and chaos the following guidelines/limitations have been set:
-The story must be confined to the planet Risa and it's orbit.
-Every plot line must somehow involve the missing pet, in this case a cat, in one way or another. Whether this is an animal itself, portrait or statue doesn't really matter.
This mission is expected to last approximately one month
Start date: Monday March 5
