OOC: This will be a short thread for a chance to wind down a little bit after the last mission. And it's a chance to let the others report in on the previous thread.
ON:
Loskene was finally back on his bridge again, and it certainly was a great feeling to be back. The Jefferson had parted ways with the Vesuvius 10 hours ago, and the Jefferson was en route back to the starbase. Alexander Johnson's console began to beep.
Johnson: Sir, we are approaching the starbase. They are informing us that we are clear to dock and debrief.
Loskene: A relief. Well everyone, you are all free to roam the starbase for a while. We all deserve a break.
Everyone seemed to get up very quickly from their stations and crowd into the turbolift.
Loskene: Well, I know I can count on you all to pass an evacuation test...I'm just joking. Enjoy yourselves.
Everyone had left except Joni. Loskene thought for a moment why she had stayed behind, and he remembered; the bar.
Loskene: Oh, Joni, I forgot to tell you. I may be in the admirals office for a little while. You know, debriefing and all the complicated procedures that follow.
Joni: Oh...not a problem. I might just browse around a little.
Loskene: Once I'm done I'll be sure to tell you..

Max was sitting in his quarters eating steak. He decided it was time for a Steak Cook Competition aboard the ship...hmm nah. He knew he would win.
Max decided to roam the ship out of boredom and ended up in the mess hall. There, he sat down and order a few drinks.

Joni nodded. She understood, duties and all. She smiled, even though she was a little disappointed.
“I’ll see you soon hopefully.” She said.
As she looked around she saw that really everyone had left. She bit her lip as she debated with herself for a second, then came up to him and kissed him on the cheek. Then she turned and, without looking back, left the bridge, a huge smile on her face.
Finding out where you had to go, wasn’t all that difficult. You just followed the entire crew of the ship. She grinned. Greeting some, she exchanged a few words with others. It didn’t take all too long, before she was on the Starbase…
Looking around she smiled… so… now where to go?

Raiben also stayed at the bridge. The wounds he suffered may be heavy for a normal person but they are not for him.
He then turned towards the Operation console.
"Sir, the station is reporting that we are clearly docked and they are ready to receive our personel for shore leave"

Loskene had arrived on the starbase, and immediately entered the turbolift. He just wanted to get everything over with. The ride lasted a while, and the Admiral's office was over 30 decks away. When he got to the destination, he walked out fast, and got to the admirals office. He stopped for a second, feeling strangely nervous. He had never really felt that way before. He stood there for a few moments, and a young officer walked by.
Officer: Sir, can I help you with something?
Loskene: No thank you ensign. I'm just waiting for the admiral.
Officer: I believe the admiral is in there, sir.
Loskene: (Slighty frustrated) Thank you, ensign.
The young man smiled, nodded and walked off. Shortly after, Loskene entered. His nightmare came to life as he noticed that Admiral O'Connor was sitting down. O'Connor was an old Irish man. He had cold blue eyes and was very disciplined. He never smiled and often acted like a statue. Just unwavering, uncomprimising and almost emotionless.
The admiral noticed Loskene, and Loskene saw it as a kind of cue, and entered the man's office.
Loskene: Hello sir. Reporting as ordered.
O'Connor, not even giving Loskene a glance and looking down at his padd acknowledged him.
O'Connor: Commodore.
Loskene: I see that you have recieved the padd.
O'Connor: I have been going over this for quite some time. You went through an interesting ordeal. Like something out of a fiction book. I do have some questions regarding the mission.
Loskene: I will answer any questions you have.
O'Connor: First of all, why were all the senior officers beamed down? And especially to a hazardous Class-L planetoid?
Loskene: Because....We are more experienced than the younger officers. Since this was a mission that required skill and experience, it was only logical that the senior staff conduct the mission.
O'Connor: I disagree. If you can't send your junior officers, then they haven't recieved adequate training. And it certainly isn't the academys fault. So if it isn't the academy, where does that leave us?
Loskene: I suppose you are saying that it is my fault...
O'Connor: Well, what do you think Commodore?
"Why is he playing this game with me?" Loskene thought.
Loskene: I really don't know sir.
O'Connor: Do you conduct training excercises?
Loskene: Once a month, sir.
O'Connor: Perhaps it would be prudent to exercise them twice a month.
Loskene: Of course, sir.
O'Connor: One further question, Commodore. It states in here that you were infected with some kind of alien illness while on the planet. You subsequently impaled yourself to overcome it. I don't quite understand.
Loskene: Somehow, it was able to enter my mind and control my thoughts... I almost seriously injured one of my crew...but I realized what I was doing and put the injury unto myself. I was unconcious for a while, but I eventually awoke and the alien spirit or whatever it is, left me...
O'Connor: So this alien thing, it gave you the impulse to attack others.
Loskene: Yes.
O'Connor: How did it do this?
Loskene: It came to me in the form of a voice. A voice that somehow manipulated me. Under normal circumstances, I would have been able to resist such nonsense. But it wasn't normal circumstances. It was life or death.
O'Connor: So...tell me what happened.
Loskene: It told me that I would leave the planet if I spilled the blood of others. I know it sounds crazy. I'm still sort of confused about it all.
O'Connor: I....see......Have you considered going seeing a doctor about it?
Loskene: Well, I am fine now, and I feel much better then I did over the past few months.
O'Connor: Ok. I suppose that will be all.
Loskene: Sir...There is something I neglected to put in the report. An old item actually.
O'Connor: Can it wait?
Loskene: I don't think it can sir.
O'Connor: Make it brief, please.
Loskene: The voice that I heard...filled me with guilt. A guilt from a long time ago. And I cannot live with it anymore. It's about the starfleet training. You know what I mean, the manditory training missions. I had fulfilled them. Well....almost all of them anyway.
After a few minutes of Loskene explaining the story of how Loskene almost died in his training in Siberia, and how he flew down to the treeline and headed back to his base.
O'Connor: You never told anyone this.
Loskene: No sir. I did not.
O'Connor: And why is that?
Loskene: I....did not want to seem weak. In my culture, weakness is looked down upon with disgrace. After so much conditioning, it was too painful to tell anyone.
O'Connor: So you put your entire crew's and the Vesuvius crew's life at stake, all because you were ashamed to admit your fault?
Loskene: I feel the same way, that is why I thought it was extremely important to let it be known.
O'Connor: That was foolish, Commodore. Extremely foolish. You have no idea of what you risk now. Do you know what the penalties for your fraudulent actions?
Loskene: I imagine they are quite harsh.
O'Connor: You bet they are. Removal of your command, possible demotion, even expulsion from Starfleet.
Loskene: If that is the cost of this, then I will accept those consequences.
O'Connor: I will have to convene with my colleagues and assess the consequences. For now, a reprimand will appear on your record. I will inform you when we have reached a desicion.
Loskene: I understand sir.
O'Connor: Dismissed.
Loskene got up and slowly walked away, out of the admirals room. He felt a bit ashamed, but it felt good to get it off his shoulders. He headed to the turbolift. He remembered that he was going to contact Joni, but he was feeling ashamed and just wanted to head down to the bar and have a talk with Klag, the bartender.
"Joni doesn't deserve this..." Loskene thought.

It didn’t take too long for Joni to find herself being bored. She walked over a couple of decks, visited some shops, bought some food from one of the stalls and then just decided to go to the bar.
She had to ask directions a couple of times, but eventually she made it to the full bar. It looked nice, at least an effort was made to make her feel at home. She made her way o the bar and sat down.
She ordered something to drink fast and then took the glass and checked around for a place to sit. Not sure why she picked a bit of a secluded spot and sat down, watching the people at the bar.
Okay, so Los hadn’t contacted her yet… not that weird. Debriefings could take forever… still, something was nagging at her… something was wrong and she wasn’t quite sure what… She sighed and took a sip of the sweet liquid. She’s just wait for him here. When he contacted her, she would tell him that she had already found a table.

Loskene was at the bar, sitting down at a stool. Loskene didn't feel like doing much, just drinking and talkin with his old friend, Klag. Loskene suddenly heard some noises in the back of the bar. A large man came out from the back. He had wild grey hair, and he was definetely Klingon.
Loskene: Klag!
Klag: Huh? Who?
Klag squinted his eyes, trying to recognize the man that was talking to him.
Klag: Who goes there?
Loskene: It's me, Loskene.
Klag: Loskene....
Loskene: We haven't spoken in a year or so.
Klag: Ohh...The Starfleet officer!
Loskene: For now at least.
Klag: How fares you, Losk.
Loskene: Things have been better, Klag.
Klag: Ohh...Do tell..
Loskene: How are you?
Klag: Don't evade my questions! Graagh.
Loskene: Would you quiet down?
Klag: Never! My bar, my rules!
Klag took out a small bottle of bloodwine and took a quick swig.
Loskene: What year?
Klag: What do you think? 2309!
Loskene: Oh, that year was great for harvesting.
Klag: I was a small child on my fathers farm back then! He always used to give me a sip...every once in a while that is.
Loskene: A bit irresponsible, don't you think? You wouldn't normally give a child bloodwine.
Klag: Irresponsible or not, it tasted wondrous...Ohoho, You've done it.
Loskene: Done what?
Klag: Nice try, trying to get my mind in another place while I avoid what's troubling you. No more evading the question, what is your problem?
Loskene: It really is nothing. Well, something, but I won't bother you with details.
Klag: Well, I tried, and you resisted. I don't have the strength to argue with you anymore.
Loskene: That's sad to hear.
Klag: You seem like the sad one.
Loskene heard a voice in the distance, and he looked in back of him. It was Joni, and she was trying to get his attention.
Klag: Hmm...Who's this?
Loskene: She is one of my officers, Ensign Kel.
Joni: Loskene. I finally found you! I thought you'd never show up!
Loskene: I'm sorry Joni. I got so wound up and worn out over the debriefing that the only thing I had on my mind was relaxing with a drink. But, I think I'd much rather relax, and have a drink...with you.
Joni: I'd like that.
Klag: I'm closing up soon. You will have to take this conversation to a table.
Loskene: Goodbye, Klag.
Joni: So...Find somewhere to sit?
Loskene: Yeah, that would be good.
They walked over to a table near the back of the bar.
Loskene took a deep breath and sighed.
Joni: How are you feeling?
Loskene: Just tired...Yourself?
<tag Joni. Others, please get involved with something as well. We will be leaving the starbase sometime soon>

"I'm fine Los..." Joni answered as she reached for his hand. "I'm worried about you though. I'm no telepath, but I know something is wrong. Something has been wrong since... since the posession on the planet."
"We'll, I don't think there is, I'm just tired. But tell me why you think so, so I can take that doubt away." Loskene answered, smiling a little. It seemed fake to her.
"At first I just thought you were tired and in pain, you know, on the planet... but I saw you walk in just now... hunched forward, eyes on the ground. I'm not a mind reader, but I can read body language. And you don't get that walk and attitude from being tired. You seem to have lost your selfconfidance somehow... and it happened on the planet, because you were overflowing with it before the mission. Tell me what's wrong Los, please... Don't tell me because I'm your counselor though... tell me... because I'm your friend... and hopefully more..." She said, never breaking contact with his eyes, even when he tried.

Raiben looked out through the duty rooster. He decided to stay at the ship as nearly most of the security officers out there his duty is to make sure the safety of the ship so he is going on with it.
He is commencing repairings of equipment and some new modifications that he have come by at the station databanks.
Raiben lifted himself from his chair at his office, or his home. This is his office that he will nearly visit it for another time or two at the upcoming mission.
"You know you are tired"camed a voice from no where. "Who is it?"Raiben asked looking around his office "You know who am i ain't you Raiben?"camed the reply. "No, i said who are you?"he shooted agan "Well you look like a dork Raiben. Guess then"camed the reply again
Raiben looked around himself. No one is present and no one was on the deck. He is sure about this. "Stop this mockery!" he yelled "Well then i must not drive you crayz then; i am you Raiben. Not exactly you but a part of you"camed the voice "Me? You are just an idiot then"replied Raiben"yes you are an idiot and you are going to be a sorry idiot when i find you out" "Find me out? i am your only friend, only true friend at life. I know your pains, what you feel and what you think" "You? then tell me who am i?" "You are a tool of Doctor Bezlinsky Raiben. He created you to be a better human but what he didn't guessed is that he created a ever better human" "What this things are all about, a better human? Me?" "Kolchis prime is only the testing field, it proved that even as you were a child you are capable of living through the worst environments, what he didn't guessed is that he can die out at there"
Raiben was shocked with what the voice is saying out. He reached for his seat and drop there like a rock.
"But who are you?"he asked after a brief silence. "The name is Benjamin" "Benjamin, a good name for a wierd person" "Wierd? i am you Raiben. I am you uncounciousness, i am your sleeping half; i am your complement"

OOC: Interesting post, Raiben.
Loskene began to fiddle with his glass. He could not make eye contact with Joni.
Joni: ...What's wrong Loss? Please tell me.
Loskene: ...Not here... Let's just....sit here for a while.
Joni: If you want to...
Loskene: Admiral O'Connor is going to want to see me again. Not sure what's going to happen.
Joni: What do you mean by that..?
Loskene: Nothing.
Joni: Well, you should really tell me. Besides, I already know something is wrong. Loskene...Commodore..
Loskene: It's ok...
Joni: I can't help you if you don't tell me what's wrong.
Loskene: There is nothing to tell really. Just that it is something that I have to work out on my own.
Joni: Well...Maybe I should leave..
Loskene: No- don't.
Klag: Hello!!!! We are closing up!
Loskene: Alright, we're leaving. Come on, we'll go somewhere more private.
Joni nodded and left the bar with Loskene.
Loskene: Let's head to deck 20. There is a holodeck there.
Loskene and Joni reached the holodeck and Loskene started the program.
Loskene: Computer, program "Tholian sunset"
Computer: Program complete. Enter when ready.
Loskene: ...Shall we?
Loskene let Joni enter first and followed behind her.
Joni: Wow...It's beautiful.
Loskene: It is magnificent.
The landscape was one of magnificent beauty. The ground was covered with flora that glowed an unearthly blue. The sky was orange and hazy, with a giant blue sun creeping down the sky.
Loskene: I've never actually been to the Tholian homeworld. They are an extremely paranoid people.
Joni: Then how did you manage to come across this program?
Loskene: The Federation and Tholian assembly have a trade agreement. Every so often, they manage to astound us. Of course, the planet is far too hot for a normal humanoid. We'd be baked by now, if we were on the real planet.
Joni: Well... we're here...Please tell me what's on your mind.
Loskene: You never give up do you? Well, you may not be telepathic, but you are pretty old and wise.
Joni: Hey! Old?!
Loskene: Well, not you. the Kel symbiont. Anyway, you probably remember the training programs that Starfleet gives, right?
Joni: Of course. Those were very difficult.
Loskene: Yeah. They can be difficult, even deadly at times. Well, you have probably read my bio in detail. I chose my training site, Siberia. Bitter cold there. It didn't bother me all that much. Anyway, I was two or three days into the training, can't really remember the exact numbers, I didn't bring any field rations. Didn't need them. Traveling through the vacuum of space was a cinch, a mountain should have been a piece of cake. But... it wasn't as easy as I thought. The cold affected me in a more serious way then I first thought. My body couldn't adapt to the cold, and my cell metabolism began to slow down. I was vulnerable to the many micro-organisms that naturally exist on Earth. They invaded my body, which most likely considered me a threat to the eco-system, and I began to weaken. I continued on for another day, until I could not go on. I only had one choice, and that was to get out of there as soon as I could. Well...What could I do? I did get out. Making use of my genetic modifier, I morphed and fled down to the base of the mountain. I was dying when Starfleet medics found me. I awoke at a medical base, and the doctors were all surrounding me, smiling at me and telling me that I would be ok and that Starfleet would be proud of me for finishing the training program. What could I say to them? That I failed to complete it? No, that would wipe the smiles off their faces, only to be replaced by frowns and wrinkled brows. But more then that, I would be humiliated by Starfleet and ejected from the academy. I chose not to tell them...And a year later I graduated and took advanced tactical training, and one year after that I was assigned to the USS America as Chief Tactical/Security officer.
Loskene stopped talking. He had told her everything that had happened and he felt a little strange that he told her. They both remainded speechless for a few minutes, until Loskene's communicator chirped.
Loskene: Loskene here.
=^=This is Admiral O'Connor. Please meet me in the conference lounge.=^=
Loskene: Aye sir. Well, Joni, it's time. I don't know what's going to happen. Either way, the truth has to be known.
Loskene exited the holodeck and to the lounge.

As Loskene walked out, she didn’t say anything. She had been thinking. Thinking about her own training, about her previous lives, about him… about them. When the doors closed she suddenly shook herself out of her thoughts.
She sprinted after him, calling out for the computer to close the programme. She had seen where he had turned, and followed.
“Los! Commodore! Wait, please!” She called out. As he stopped and turned she smiled and sprinted the last part.
“Thank you…” She said, panting. She straightened and took his hand. There was no one around anyway. “It wasn’t your fault okay? Don’t feel ashamed. It’s good you told me and… well, it doesn’t make any difference.” She said, sincere.
He smiled and nodded. “Thank you Joni…” He said. She smiled and before she could stop herself, kissed him softly on the lips. As she pulled back, she smiled once more and, with a huge blush on her cheeks, ran off.
“Good luck!” She called out and disappeared around the corner, smiling from ear to ear like schoolgirl.

Raiben looked out from the view screen. The blackness of the space was chilling his burning soul. His new discovered friend is now either asleep or he decided to get a little trip across his body.
The ship was empty except the on duty security and engineering enlisted. He was as alone as he was on Kolchis Prime. He stared his life naked, howling and covered with blood...the fun doesn't have to end there. This was the last impression of himself.
Raiben turned his gazes towards the lighter sitting in his hand. That was the lighter that he bought from a souvenir shop at the Earth. He slowly opened and lit it. The flame danced with joy as it raced towards the air. Then he closed the cap and put it in his pocket.
"The fun doesn't have to end there...ain't it Benjamin?"he asked...

Loskene headed off after recieving a kiss from Joni, feeling a little better when he told Joni about what had happened. He was still uncertain about his future, and knew it would not be a smooth road ahead of him. After about five minutes of walking through long corridors and into turbolifts, he finally made it to the conferance lounge. It was a fairly large room, decorated tastefully and very clean. There was a table in the middle of the room, and at either side of the table were large plants, or small trees, which added to the decor. Behind the table were three admirals. One of them was O'Connor. Another one was a Vulcan female, and the other one was an Admiral that looked tall and Nordic. O'Connor pointed to a seat on the opposite side of the table.
O'Connor: Commodore Loskene, please, sit down.
Loskene: Yes sir.
Loskene took a seat, and shortly after, the three admirals took seats on the opposite side. It was like being at a job interview, and it made Loskene nervous. O'Connor took out a padd and slid it down the table to Loskene.
O'Connor: I have convened with my colleagues about this situation. They all agree that the actions you took were not what a Starfleet officer would do. We have taken the time to contact the base in Siberia where you recovered. We recieved the medical files from them, and it appears that you were indeed dying. If you waited any longer, you would have surely died. This is a difficult situation. If you could have admitted your fault to the officer in charge after your recovery, they would have simply marked your training mission as a failure, and would have most likely given you another chance to attempt it again. But you didn't. That's what's so messy about this. What you did was dangerous. We can't have unqualifed Starfleet officers commanding starships.
Vulcan Admiral: I have reviewed your case as well. I agree with Admiral O'Conner. It was dangerous. However, being a Vulcan, and being an outsider to Earth, I must say that such incidents are unavoidable at times. Your situation is not unlike a certain former Starfleet officer.
Loskene: What do you mean, ma'am?
Vulcan: I refer to case 110023. Enterprise NCC 1701, Commander Spock. First Officer/Science officer. Mr. Spock once went through the Vulcan mating ritual, Pon-Farr. He did not previously inform Starfleet of his issue. As a result, Spock disrupted ship operations and nearly died. The Enterprise had to rush to Vulcan as a result. And the captain nearly lost his life as well. Getting to the matter at hand, I cannot personally judge you, because I am a bias. However, I know that their are many species in the galaxy, some with different moral and ethical principles. Starfleet knows of your race's strict morals.
O'Connor: I also agree with my colleague's assessment. Although I cannot speak from personal expierence, I will respect your moral and ethical values. It is after all, Starfleet's mission; "To seek out new life and new civilizations". Also, we have all agreed that your service record is nearly flawless, and you are a good officer. We have decided not to remove you from command of the Jefferson, nor demote you. However, it is our desicion that, since you did not bother to tell others of your failure to complete the training mission, a reprimand will appear on your record. It will remain there permantly for the remainder of your tenure in Starfleet. You are dismissed, Commodore.
Loskene, still getting over the shock of it all, got up without thinking.
Loskene: Thank you sirs... I appreciate your understanding and I fully accept the reprimand.
After saying his words, Loskene quickly left and headed back to the Jefferson, heading down the long, winding corridors of the Starbase. Loskene was grateful, and was of course pleased with the decision. He also began to think about Starfleet. He had never really fully believed that Starfleet was tolerant of other races. His perspective changed in the past few minutes. He had never felt prouder to serve in such a diverse organisation.

Raiben slowly lifted himself from the command seat. It was comfortable, yes but it is not for his tastes. Then he turned towards the turbolift doors.
"Deck 7 transporter room"he said to the computer.
"Well"said Benjamin"i see you are taking a trip to the station" "Yes i am, i have some business to take and some reports to give first hand" "Go on with those; but have you ever thinked why have you ever been created?" "Benjamin, i know that you know more than me and i trust your wisdom; but why you allways force me to think about things that i don't even have an idea?" "To force you to think who you are, i am diong this to prepare you for your real self" "My real self?" "You will understand when it starts my friend but not now, i have to go to sleep, you are a very boring persona from inside"
Raiben was surprised how he can sleep. He is him or is himself was he.
"Bah"he whispered as the lift comed to a halt. He got a lot more important thing to do then just make conspiracy theories about who is the real him.
"Deck 34"he said to the teleporter officer.
Sweet dreams he whispered to Benjamin as his mind degaussed.
