Weill: " Yes sorry, one more announcement, I will say it plainley. I will be leaving the USS Raven at the end of this mission, for an assignment on earth, all i can say it has been an honour to serve and i could never have thought that my first command would have been so wonderful and i will always have a special place in my mind for the USS Raven"
This was something Zoarial least expected, after only a short period of 2 months serving on the Raven, allready the captain and the chieef engineer were leaving. Zoarial regretted the fact but eased up as he heard that Dan had attracted a protege. Knowing Dan a little bit, Zoarial knew that this protege would not be unskilled, and he looked forward to meeting this new crewmember. Zoarial was a little worried about the next captain though, he knew that it would be hard for the new CO to compensate the loss of Captain Weill, but he sure hoped that whoever the newly appointed CO would be, would do his utmost to make the USS Raven the best ship of it's fleet.
Zoarial still couldn't believe his ears, he sank down in a chair in amazement and thought he needed a drink. He walked up to the replicator since there was only water for him at the drink-stand.
Zoarial: Give me something strong, a nice earthly Lagavulin, 16 years old
Computer: Request denied.
Zoarial: Out of lagavulin? Pity... Surprise me with another whisky then!
Computer: Request denied.
Zoarial: Out of whisky? Now that's a shame... Some romulan ale please.
Computer: Request Denied
Zoarial thought that something had to be wrong with the replicator, Romulan ale was always at hand.
Zoarial: Computer please give me a statusreport for the malfunctioning of the replicator
Computer: Lieutenant Zoarial has been denied any acces to any alcoholic beverages.
Zoarial said to himself: Which prankster found out my little adventure at the GM planet?
Computer: Information classified.
Zoarial: I wasn't asking you... nevermind. Maybe I'll just stick to water, I'll try again when the party's over
After this minor dissapointment Zoarial needed some cheering up, so he walked to his post. There would not be any work, but the panoramic view from the bridge was always beautifull. When he arrived at the bridge he almost bumped into an ensign, someone who looked new to him.
Ensign: "Civilian Mathew J Black reporting. Im looking for Captain Weill"
Zoarial wondered why this civilian had ensign pips on his shoulders, but before he was able to ask, the ensign/civilian guy allready left, heading for the ready room, the most obvious place where a captain could be. Not this time though, Zoarial smiled, as he knew that Captain Weill was still at the signing festivities.
Zoarial caught up with the ensign when he was at the readyroom. There were two people allready inside, but as Zoarial quickly skimmed the room and saw that the captain wasn't amongst them, he tapped the ensign on the shoulder.
Zoarial: Hello mr Black, I just missed you when you left the bridge, and I thought that it might be good to inform you that Captain Weill is attending some festivities at the moment, so I followed you. If you don't mind, I will be happy to accompany you to our CO.

Alex stepped off of the turbolift and onto the bridge for his shift at the Science station for Alpha shift. Commander Majeski was sitting in the command chair, while the rest of Gamma shift made their way to the turbolift. The Chief Science officer sat down and examined the logs of his predecessor. There hadn't been much happening around the Raven for the science department to keep an eye on, so the logs were pretty short.
After running a scan of the surrounding area and finding nothing important, Alex sat back. The mood of the bridge was very quiet.

Weill was pleased the signing was over, he had said goodbye and Starfleet had been informed about the events and everything had gone smoothly, especially after the orginal fiascos.
Weill walked onto the bridge.
Majeski: " All systems normal sir"
Weill: " Thankyou Commander, ah well my last order for a course set........ Mr Zoarial set course for Starbase Assaliant"
Zoarial: " Yes Captain course set"
Weill: " Lets make it fun, warp 9.5 engage"
Zoarial: " Yes sir, engaged for Starbase Assaliant warp 9.5"
Majeski: " Unusual speed sir"
Weill: " Well with these new fangled engines we can go as fast, but i want to give the engineering a test run..... i am not just an old man with a sports car"

As Zoaral came down to the festivities together with ensing Black, he found out that the captain has allready departed. He was a bit ashamed that he had dragged ensign Black all this way while it wasn't necesary.
Zoarial: I'm sorry, but it seems that the captain has allready left, give me a second and I'll figure out where he went. Computer, give me the location of captain Gus Weill.
Computer: The captain is located at the bridge.
Zoarial: Odd, then we should have met him during our way here, well never mind. Let's head back to the bridge then!
Zoarial went back to the turbolift and quickly exited it again when they were on the flightdeck. After a short walk through the pathways they entered the bridge.
Weill: Mr Zoarial set course for Starbase Assaliant
Zoarial: Aahh, it seems that I'm needed at my post, I trust you can handle it from here? It's been nice meeting you!
He turned to the captain.
Zoarial Yes sir!
The young CNO rushed towards his post and quickly entered the coordinates of the starbase. He found out it was not as far away as he thought, they must have taken a slight detour on their way to the GM planet.
Zoarial: Course set Captain
Zoarial was about to ask permission to go to warpspeed, but the CO was one step ahead of him.
Weill: Lets make it fun, warp 9.5 engage
Zoarial: Yes sir!
Warp 9,5??? The captain surely wanted to be home as soon as possible! Zoarial wondered if it was within the capabilities of the Raven, but he knew that he has to trust the captain, for the captain had years of experience. He noticed the warpspeedindicator only went to 10, with the facotr 5-8 barely used, 9 and 10 not used at all. Zoarial activated warp drive and saw the dail slowly moving up.
Zoarial: Captain, engaged for Starbase Assaliant warp 9.5
Majeski: Unusual speed sir
Weill: Well with these new fangled engines we can go as fast, but i want to give the engineering a test run..... i am not just an old man with a sports car.
Zoarial wondered if he really wasn't.

Alex sat forward at his station on the bridge. He couldn't remember moving this quickly before. He spent some time trying to figure out how quickly they were moving in kilometers per hour, then gave it up after getting it to the area of two trillion. It was fast...
Interested and slightly nervous, Alex started running scans on the forward hull to see if the high speed was affecting the hull integrity at all. After a few minutes, everything seemed to be holding up, but he continued to scan. A shadow fell over his console and Alex glanced up to see Captain Weill standing over him. "Never travelled this quickly before, Commander?"
"No sir" Alex replied, smiling guiltily.
"Well, keep scanning. You never know..." the captain said seriously as he walked back to his chair.
You never knew...what? Alex thought to himself. He was looking down at his console and missed the amused glances that the Captain and First Officer were sharing as they sat beside each other.

After a while, Dan returned to Engineering. Immediately the whole room got quiet and turned to look at him. Joktel and Paria came over. Joktel looked very grim
Joktel: Word down the grapevine is that you're leaving us, and of your promotion. I have just one thing to say to you.
Dan: And what would that be?
Joktel: Congratulations.
He extended his hand. As Dan took it, the entire room burst into applause.
Dan: Thank you everyone, thank you. Now, we're all on duty, so get back to work.
Everyone smiled or smirked and went back to what they were doing. Everyone except Joktel and Paria.
Joktel: We also hear you've hand-picked your replacement.
Dan: I have. Lt Junior Grade Nephi Jacobson. Talented young man.
Joktel: Lt Junior Grade?? So my superior is going to be of lesser rank?
Dan: His lesser rank is only due to his short time in Starfleet. He's quite able.
An Ensign approached Paria and said something to her for a moment. The Ensign left and Paria turned back to them.
Paria: I asked to inform you that the Captain just ordered us to Warp 9.5, Commander.
Dan: 9.5? Stations people!
Paria: We've jumped to Warp.
Mele: We've got an imbalance in the structural integrity in the forward section. Hull stress increasing!
Dan: Compensate.
Mele: I'm trying but its not working.
Joktel: Realign the field harmonics.
Paria: Its working, but not quite.
Dan: Adjust the field polarity.
Mele: That did it. Hull stress returning to normal
Dan: Nothing like a little excitement just before I leave, eh?

Alex was staring at his console, completely missing the fact that the Captain and First Officer had been teasing him a little regarding the dangers of flight at Warp 9.5. Suddenly, red lights started to flash as the hull stress in the forward sections started to increase dramatically. Alex looked up and said "Captain, we're experiencing an increaseing hull stress in the forward sections."
The Captain looked over with surprise. That was supposed to have been a joke. Weill tapped his comm badge. "Commander Trek, we're showing an increase in hull stress up here."
After a pause, the Chief Engineer answered. "Yes Captain, I know. Working on it now."
The Captain walked over to Dixon's station and watched the hull stress monitors. They fluctuated back and forth for about a minute, then settled back to their normal levels. "Uhh, good work, Commanders. Continue to monitor." Alex nodded and kept an eye on the hull stress monitors while Captain Weill walked back to his chair, looking at Majeski with a rather surprised expression on his face. It was supposed to have been funny...

Majeski stared at Dixion and looked at him they whereo nly an hour away from the starbase he wanted no problems on the way there. but apearently mishaps do happen. He got up and walked over to Dixions station and peered over his shoulder.
"Commander what happend?" Majeski sounded confused
"Uhhh .. dunno it just whent funny.." Dixion was hinting it to be a joke but Majeski merely stared blankly at him.
'"Umm I guess Elven humor and human humor is a little diffrent" Dixion said
"Huh? Humor?" Majeski said and rose and eyebrow
"It was supposed to be a joke" Dixion explained
"Ah " Majeski nodded "I see"
*he doesn't get it* Dixion thought *mabye i'll help him with his humor one of these days*
Dixion watched Majeski walk away only to witness Majeski take a tribble out of his pocket and put it in a box.
*oh no* Dixion thought *whats he gonna do with that?*
He Watched Majeski give the box to Captian Weill before he left for the shuttle bay.
Dixion smothered his laughter *He's so dead* he though
Majeski smiled at Weill good luck sir and he held out his hand to shake it and Weill took it "Honor serving with you sir"
"You too commander" Weill said
Majeski smiled "So what are you gonna do with your retirement, buy a boat? "
"Teach" Weill grinned
Majeski nodded and grinned back "Sounds like the ultament retirement"
"Your time will come Majeski you wait" Weill said
"I'll walk you to the shuttle bay" eski said
Weill nodded "Sure lead the way"

Zoarial monitored the warpspeed, after the short time of the increased hullstress he was very carefull. There could be an overdrive, if the warpspeed would rise too high they would travel faster than whatever, faster than he could imagine. Zoarial had read somewhere that traveling at a certain speed would cause you to be at all places in the universe at the same time. This simply couldn't be good.
His concerns were missplaced though as he knew an experienced engineer, who was sadly parting from the Raven within a short time, was also monituring the situation and the CEO would surely reckognize a problem far before Zoarial could.
Zoarial thought back about the mission, how he had embarked on the Raven in the middle of a stress situation and how they had handled it. The encounter at the GM planet was different to what he expected, but afterwards Zoarial didn't know anymore what he initally expected about the inhabitants.
Suddenly though a thought popped into his mind. When they were about to solve a crisis situation, the FO had informed him that he wanted a little talk. Zoarial had been anxious then, but curious now. Maybe it was nothing though. But zoarial couldn't surpress his curiosity.
Zoarial stepped away from his console after making a quick checkup and finding out nothin needed intervention. The klingon officer felt his heartbeat rise as he slowly approached the FO chair. As if Majeski sensed the approach, he turned in his chair.
Zoarial: Sir Majeski, several weeks ago, just after we caught the civilian Art and you ordered me to take him to the brig, you told me that you wanted to talk to me. With your permission sir, might I inform what that was about?
Chris: ahhhh yes...

Weill was walking with Chris Majeski and they were very quiet.
Weill: " The ship can manage 9.99 so why was stress so high at only 9.5, that needs to be looked into and solved"
Majeski: " Yes sir"
They got to the transporter room and the senior staff appeared now the ship was stationary to be standing inside the room.
Amhil: " Good luck Captain"
Weill: " You to Doctor, i shall need to find another of you to keep me in line"
Weill walked onto the transporter padd, the faces of the staff were looking at him with an unusual stare.
Transporter: " Co-ordinates set"
Weill: " Thankyou.......... Good luck Raven, good luck you crew, you have made the Raven what she is, the best ship in the fleet, and i hope you will continue to improve and go for our goal...... please beam my possessions when i send the co-ordinates"
Transporter: " Yes sir"
Weill: " Energize"
Weill saw the transporter room fizzle away and the station appear. The period between seemed like and eternity. He remembered coming aboard not so long ago as acting CO and than being given full command, the coming and going of crew, but he didnt realise he would go so soon.
OFF: My last post as your CO, thankyou all for being there and making the Raven an excellent experiance. Good luck Commander Majeski and Dixon.

Dan packed up the equipment in his Office. He had already packed up everything in his quarters, due to the fact that they were due to arrive at the Starbase shortly. He stacked all the PADDs from his desk and put them in a case. Still scattered on another table were multiple PADDs with specs on Omicron. He had studied them extensively. Then the door chimed.
Dan: Come in.
In stepped Joktel and Paria. Joktel carried an isolinear chip and Paria was carrying a PADD. Joktel held out the chip.
Joktel: Didn't think you'd want to forget your security program.
Dan: Ah yes. Thank you.
He took it and put them in the case with the rest of the PADDs. He looked back up and now Paria had extended the PADD.
Paria: Letters of thanks, congratulations and encouragement from the Engineering Staff.
Dan: Thank you. Put it on the table with that pile of PADDs.
She put it down. She glanced at the contents of the rest of the PADDs.
Paria: Omicron specs?
Dan: Indeed. I've been studying the Shipyards. An impressive facility.
Joktel: Made better by its Commanding Officer.
Dan stacked the Omicron and letter PADDs and put them in a seperate case.
Joktel: Removed your holo-grid from your quarters?
Dan: Yes I ha...Wait, how'd you know it was there?
Joktel: I do access to a wide range of information on the ship. The large amount of photonic signatures gave it away.
Dan: I knew I couldn't fool you. Anyway, I've got a final instruction or two. A misalignment in the power distribution net is what caused that structural integrity field. Have Nephi check that out and fix it when he gets here.
Joktel: Wouldn't you normally have Base Engineers look at that?
Dan: Yes, but I wanted to leave Nephi was an interesting task. Plus he likes to keep busy. He'll want to have something to do from the moment he walks onboard. Enthusiastic and dedicated young man, to say the least.
Paria: Well if he's half the Engineer you are, I'm sure we'll be in good hands.
Dan: Thanks. Well, I'm done here. Walk me to the umbilical?
Joktel: But we're not even there yet.
Dan: I know. But I dont intend to go very quickly. I want to get one last look at this ship.
He left his office, a couple cases in hand. As he left Engineering, all of the Engineers stood at attention in respect.
Dan: I'll miss this place.
