The doctor was busy, but an ensign came up to help.
"Seems I will be handing this one, ma'am. Please describe what is wrong?" the doctor said, and Arya told him everything. He then scanned her to see what could be going on.
"Oh, Commander, you are just experiencing vertigo. I have something for that," he said and quickly got a hypospray. Arya was glad that the deck had stopped spinning. An idea suddenly came to mind.
"Ensign, I need your help with something, but don't worry you won't get in any trouble with following orders," Arya said, and hit her commbadge.
"Captain, I need to see you in sickbay," she said, and he said he would come.
A bit later he showed up, and she put on a fake half smile that looked very real.
"Darling, there you are, good, I have some wonderful news, but you are going to want to sit down," Arya said, and he sat next to her. She took his hand.
"Dear, I wasn't feeling well, so I came here like I told you I was doing, and the doctor scanned me. He showed me that I was, well, are you ready for this? I'M PREGNANT!" She said so excited.
"It's true, sir. I have the scans to prove it," the ensign doctor said bringing up an open tricorder with the false scans they worked on to make them look completely real. Arya turned to see his face.

He knew that he was being attended to by the ship's doctor and his friend, E'liana Betor. That was comforting, but Matt needed to be out there looking for the people who did this to him. The only problem was that he couldn't really move. Each inch caused his head to begin spinning and he could distinctly taste the blood that had trickled into his mouth.
"Chief Medical Officer's report, Commander Matthew Reynolds received a severe blow to his head causing inflammation in his left cerebral cortex. I have stopped the bleeding and no major damage should be present, though he may experience some slurred speech and involuntary movement of his appendages."
It was at this time that E'liana noticed that Matt was listening to her.
"E'Li...ana you got to be...joo.......joking," Matt said, but realized that she was at the very best being optimistic. He very badly wanted to scream, but then again he really couldn't do that.
"Do...som...thin....abut.....this," Matt pleaded. E'liana seemed to hesitate, but administered a hypospray, which caused Matt serious discomfort. After the pain had passed he tried to speak again.
"So what...what is happening?: Matt asked.
"Ensign Torek found you in Cargo Bay 2 and brought you here immediately," E'Liana said," and there looking for the people that attacked you."
"When can I leave?" Matt asked.
"Leave, Matt I'm sorry, but your not leaving for a few hours," E'Liana said as she administered another hypospray. Matt was going to fight her, but his body wouldn't let him and he soon was asleep. --------------------
There plan had been compromised, but not everything was lost. The ship was now at a full stop looking for us, which worked in there favor. The last thing that they wanted was the Raven anywhere near New London.
The greatest advantage that they had was the fact that they looked exactly like Raven crewmembers. It would be a few more days until Bellicose security discovered the crewmates, but by then everything would be finish.
For now they both would have to play it by ear and act like everything was running smoothly.

McLean rubbed his eyes wishing he would just put himself to bed but instead he sat facing a stack of PADDs in his office in Main Engineering. The chronometer told him that his shift had ended several hours ago, but with out an assistant Chief Engineer, McLean found himself working longer and longer shifts.
“Computer, coffee, black.” McLean said out loud hoping the newly installed replicator in his office would produce the drink he desired to keep him active.
Rising to his feet McLean was pleased to find that his modification to the auditory system of the replicator worked as well as he had hoped. Sitting in front of him was a clear glass filled with warm black coffee, heaven in a cup, McLean thought to himself.
Sitting back down McLean enjoyed the first sip out of the newly replicated cup of coffee. It was everything and more that McLean could have wanted, the caffeine suddenly excited every nerve in his body, he felt alive again.
“Heaven.” McLean said to himself.
“Commander, sir?” McLean heard from behind him. With out turning around McLean already know who was addressing him.
“What is it Lieutenant?” McLean asked still facing his stack of PADDs.
“Sir, systems are going down all over the ship. They all seem to be problems coming out of Main Engineering.”
“Are you tracking the problems?” McLean asked as he finally turned around to face Lt. Benson.
“Yes sir, it’s coming from a Jeffries tube just above Cargo Bay 2.” Benson replied.
McLean sprang to his feet, passing Benson on the way out of his office. Pushing on his COM badge McLean opened a channel, “Security to Jeffries Tube 36 Alpha.”
McLean rushed out of Engineering hoping to meet up with the Security teams at the same time.

After his very brief chat with Mr Torek, Steve entered Sickbay and approached Arya. She said he should sit down, and he did so.
"Dear, I wasn't feeling well, so I came here like I told you I was doing, and the doctor scanned me. He showed me that I was, well, are you ready for this? I'M PREGNANT!"
Steve suddenly felt a wave of dizziness hit him, and being in Sickbay it was the best place to have it. He had to hold onto the side of the seat so that he didn't fall over.
"Pr...pregnant?" He stammered, looking at Arya's excited face. He was truly shocked and unsure what to say. "Are you sure?" He asked., not meaning to sound as if he didnt have confidence in the doctor's abilities.
"It's true, sir. I have the scans to prove it," Said the doctor.
Steve took a look at the readings, and was still shocked. "Well then....thats excellent news....isnt it? Of course it is." He went to stand up, and his legs almost gave way. "Oh my." He said and sat back down. "I think I need a drink."
He looked to Arya. "Come here, you." He said, and gave her a hug. Just then the comms opened:
=/\=All decks. Intruder Alert. =/\=
"What the....?" Steve exclaimed, and attempted to stand up again, this time he managed to stand still. Just as he was about to contact the Bridge to find out what was going on, his XO, Commander Reynolds was brought in....and it looked serious.
He waited for a while for Dr BeTor to work on the commander, and when it seemed ok, he went to see what had happened. He approached Matt's biobed and looked down on him.
"Commander, what happened?" He asked.

OOC: Steven's post is a bit of a back post to the previous post, but I can always work with that. IC: "Commander, what happened?" He asked"Congratulations, Captain," Matt said happy that his commanding officer and wife would be expecting a child. It was very good news, but that the present moment they had to deal with intruders. "Ensi.....To...ek...," Matt tried to explain, but his body didn't have the strength. "Ensign Torek found him like this in Cargo Bay 2," E'liana said," what the ensign has told me it seems that the torpedoes were tampered with and that there is a possibility of a bomb on the ship." The Captain gave Matt another look over and mumbled something to E'liana and then rushed out of sickbay. Matt wanted to join him in the search, but of course that would not be possible. A few hours later "E'liana.....E'liana!" Matt said frightened that he couldn't see anything. "Computer lights," E'liana said as she came over to Matt's side," Matt I'm here, your safe, don't panic." It took Matt a couple of minutes to calm back down, but when he did his thoughts turned to the rest of the crew. "E'liana what has happened since you put me under?" Matt asked. "Matt, don't worry about it," E'liana said as she made for her office. Matt got angry at this, he was injured, but he still needed to know what was happening. "Commander report!" Matt ordered which caused his head to ache again. E'liana stopped and turned around. "Please." "Commander McLean reported that there was a security breach in the Jefferies tube and the we are still looking for who ever is responsible for this," E'liana said. "E'liana I need to get out there," Matt said as tried to get up and to his surprised did. "Look Matt, you are not 100 percent and I will not stop you from leaving sickbay," Eliana said. "But," Matt said knowing that there would be one. "But then I would be forced to relieve you of duty," E'liana said as she lightly pushed him back down on the biobed. "You need to listen to her, Matt," Caleb said as he walked in closer to Matt. He could clearly see that Caleb had been crying. Matt immediately got up and picked up Caleb. "I'm sorry," he said," I'm truly sorry." "You should of told me that you were hurt," Caleb said," I was worried about you." "I know, but you can stay with me, until they find the bad guys," Matt said.

OOC: I’m afraid I’m still on an LOA as we don’t have good net access right now, but I’m trying to catch up, lol. Also, on an Intrepid class, there is only one Doctor and one nurse, although I have added another nurse who is a trainee, otherwise E’Liana would never get a day off!
IC:
"Doctor BeTor, a lady just walked in and sat down on a biobed. Her eyes are closed and she claims the deck is spinning around her when her eyes are open. Could you please come?"
E’Liana frowned as Jaren Paal. His assessment of the case was decidedly informal and basically useless from a medical point of view. “I’m a bit busy here, Nurse Jaren. I did say only to disturb me if it was a medical emergency.” She was being rather brusque here.
Paal blushed slightly, embarrassed. “Yes Doctor” and went back to his half-Cardassian patient. He recognised her as the woman from the bridge, but decided to ignore that for now. He had to be professional.
Walking back to her biobed, he grabbed a tricorder. "Seems I will be handing this one, ma'am. Please describe what is wrong?" Paal said, and Arya told him everything. He then scanned her to see what could be going on.
"Oh, Commander, you are just experiencing vertigo. I have something for that," he said and quickly got a hypospray. Arya was glad that the deck had stopped spinning.
"Nurse, I need your help with something, but don't worry you won't get in any trouble with following orders," Arya said, and hit her commbadge.
"Captain, I need to see you in sickbay," she said, and he said he would come.
~*~
Paal felt uneasy about doing this, but she was a superior officer and the Doctor had said not to disturb her…he listened for the news that would make or break his career when Doctor BeTor found out.
”…I'M PREGNANT!" She said excitedly.
He sighed silently. "It's true, sir. I have the scans to prove it," he said bringing up an open tricorder with the false scans they worked on to make them look completely real.
At that moment, E’Liana was looking through the doorway of her office. She had a terrible feeling about what had just happened, but would have to ask Paal later, as now did not seem the time.
"Medical Emergency Cargo bay two .. Security to Cargo bay two .. All decks, Intruder Alert !!!"
E’Liana was instantly alerted and grabbed an emergency medkit and Nurse Packer who was just coming for her shift on her way out the door. She would deal with Paal later.
Their journey to the Cargo bay seemed to take forever, but she was even more confused when she got there. At seeing the state Matt was in, she beamed him to sickbay and started working.
~*~
Matt kept trying to talk and to move, not only was this annoying from a medical point of view, as he was making his own treatment harder, but E’Liana was beginning to feel distressed for him. Finally, she replied to him.
"Leave? Matt I'm sorry, but your not leaving for a few hours," E'Liana said, moving a hypospray towards his neck with a practised ease. As his body slipped into unconsciousness she sighed greatly. Hours? That would be optimistic.
~*~
As Matt got up from the biobed and saw Caleb, he stopped in his tracks, not knowing what to do. E’Liana had wanted him to stay in her office, but knew that children never listened to her.
Seeing Grilka in the office, waiting for Caleb to return – she was doing a good job as Doctor’s Assistant – reminded her of the conversation she shouldn’t really have overheard.
"I know, but you can stay with me, until they find the bad guys," Matt said.
“Actually” E’Liana said. “You need some rest, and the sight of you as you are right now – no offence – could be somewhat distressing to him. Caleb, please go back inside my office.”
At his protest, Matt gave him a look, and Caleb went into the office, muttering about Klingons under his breath.
“Sorry, but it’s for the best. You need more rest. I’ll let the Captain know that you’re awake and that he can talk to you, but only for ten minutes or so. After that, you sleep.”
<TAG Reynolds/Smith>
Now she had to wonder what to do about the ‘pregnant’ Counsellor…

Zoarial was about to hit the 67th level of his selfprogrammed game when the alarm sounded.
*Ahw... p'tahk, qaStaH nuq jay* he thought and (gently) threw his PADD aside. Why could a mission never be interesting when he wanted to, or boring when he needed it.
The CNO decided that it was best to contact the security officer before rushing out himself.
In previous missions it was quite normal that Zoarial would have been sent out. When there's a lack of a CTSO, send in the broad-shouldered klingon. At first it didn't appeal to him, that's why he became a helmsman, but now that he kind of got the hang of it he didn't dislike heading a security team.
Now that he kind of liked the prospect of action and set aside the fact that his high-score had to wait, Zoarial tapped his commbadge, trying to remember the CTSO's name. Now that he thought of it... he couldn't remember any CTSO being assigned at the moment and thought for a moment who would be on the case at this time. Not wanting to bother the acting captain, who had been called out by his wife, he tried contacting the acting first officer with a slight smile on his face.
=^=This is commander Zoarial to commander Reynolds. Is there any way I can be of use?=^= Zoarial said.
No response. And when Zoarial was about to head for trouble himself he noticed that the new COO wasnt on his post and could only be in a couple of places.
=^=Ensign Torek, is there any way I can be of use?=^= Zoarial asked.
<<Carl>>
=^=I'll be on my way. Zoarial out.=^= Zoarial said and dashed to the turbolift.
OOC: I know that you have been promoted Carl... but Zoarial doesn´t Feel free to post my arrival on your destination and give me further instructions

After ensuring that the Executive Officer was being looked after by a medical team, Torek headed back .. He sealed the door's of Cargo bay two until an Engineering team could get here and check all the torpedo's.
He had noticed that one of the casings was open, left that way as the intruders fled no doubt. But, they had had hours in the bay, and it was more than possible that the open torpedo wasn't the first they had tampered with !
=^= Torek to Engineering =^=
=^= Engineering .. Commander McLean =^=
=^= Commander, could you send a team over to Cargo bay two, I think the torpedo's need to be checked, the intruders meddled with at least one of them =^=
=^= On their way Mr Torek =^=
=^= Thankyou Sir ... Torek out =^=
Two Security Officers arrived at Cargo bay two at the trot, and requested instructions ...
"One of you at the door .. The other at the junction of this corridor. I don't want anyone, with the exception of the Engineering team getting in there !"
"Aye Sir." The two said in unison before splitting to take up their positions.
Carl had been wondering about security in Engineering .. He hoped someone had thought to get some personnel there .. He was just about to check when he was contacted himself ..
=^= Ensign Torek, is there any way I can be of use ? =^=
=^= Commander Zoarial, yes, there is .. Could you get to Engineering and assist Commander McLean in locking down his department. I'm worried our intruders may try to gain access, the last thing I want is them near the core =^=
=^= I'll be on my way .. Zoarial out =^=
Carl needed to check in with the Captain. Because even though as Chief Operations Officer, he was second in Command, he needed to keep his immediate superiors appraised of the situation ..
He began to walk away but almost as an after-thought, turned to the nearest Security Officer ...
"Let me have your hand phaser please." he said.
The Officer deftly moved his phaser rifle to one side and passed Torek his side-arm ... Checking it was set on maximum stun, he headed for Sickbay ..........

Matt groaned at Caleb's reaction and E'liana's instructions. Feeling helpless was driving him insane. He needed to do something to help out and he was even considering doing some XO duties. As he laid on his bed, the events of that day kept playing in his mind. It had started out with such promise, but now that he found himself in a bio bed he would have to disagree.
He knew that Steven would be coming to see him soon, but he didn't know what he would report to the Captain. He still couldn't remember much, but hopefully the people responsible would be caught quickly.
When he heard the doors opened he expected to see his superior officer, but he saw the operations officer.
"Mr. Torek do you have anythign to report?" Matt asked.

As Torek made his way to sick bay he passed several armed Security Officers, 'Good' he thought, the crew had acted instantly to his alert ! ... Entering sick bay he glanced round looking for the Captain.
"Mr Torek .. Anything to report ?" his Executive Officer asked from one of the bio beds.
"Sir." replied Carl, heading over to the bed and noticing the Captain in a side room with his wife and the Doctor, "I have sealed off Cargo bay two, a team from engineering should be there now running tests on our torpedo's, at least one of which has been tampered with."
"Good." said Matt as Torek continued ..
"I asked Commander Zoarial to head down to Engineering to assist Commander McLean in locking down his department. I was a little worried he may get unwanted visitors."
Carl had noticed Caleb sat on the bed and was trying to make his answers as accurate but Innocent-sounding as possible.
"Hi Mr Torek." Caleb said.
"Hey Caleb .. How are you ?"
"Well Dad Say's I can stay here with him until everything is OK, didn't you Dad."
"Yes you can ... Is there anything more Carl ?"
"Well Sir. I'm convinced the intruders are getting around the ship dressed as part of our own crew. If they need to use open spaces that would be the best way .. I've instructed all Security Officers to be weary of anyone they don't instantly recognize, and to challenge them for identity immediately."
"OK .." said Matt nodding, "I'll update the Captain as soon as he's free .. What's your next move ?"
"A Jefferies tube has been accessed, thirty six alpha. I want to check if internal sensors got a visual from that area, it's worth a shot."
"Good. Carry on Mr Torek .. I'm hoping to be out of here soon." Matt replied, casting a weary glance in the Doctor's direction, "But keep me appraised."
"Yes Sir." said Carl, turning to go but halting as Caleb spoke to him ..
"The Doctor Say's he's not got to leave. She said that." he said, his voice catching in his throat.
"OK Caleb, you had better make sure he doesn't leave then .. And you can call me Carl you know." Torek said, hoping to ease the young boy's nerves.
"OK Carl." Caleb said with a smile.
Torek turned and headed out of Sick bay ..........

He stood up, and turned to Arya. "Take it easy my love. I am going to try and see if we can get to the bottom of this little mystery of Matt's attacker." He gave Arya a kiss and smiled as he turned away. It seemed they had more to deal with than just finding the missing admiral.
Walking to where Matt was resting, he saw that the COO, Mr Torek was with him, so he waited for a while for them to finish what they were discussing. While Steve was looking at something on the wall, he saw Carl's shadow move behind him, and was just about to leave Sickbay.
"Mr Torek." Steve called, hoping to catch his attention before he left. "Would you please come back with me to see Commander Reynolds. I would like to hear whats been happening, and if there is any progress. Call it a mini-conference, if you will."

Arya watched him go, and noticed he was a bit preoccupied with things. She took out her padd, and decided to send him a message.
Dear, I think asking for your forgiveness is the best thing. The pregnancy was nothing but a prank. Were you looking forward to being a father?
Arya sent the message, and wondered how much trouble she would be in later when she saw him again. ~I will have to make this up to him.~ She thought, and got off the biobed. She walked over to where Matt was. She noticed he was sleeping for now, and knew she couldn't do anything for him yet.
"Please let me know when he is awake," she said to the nurse, who only nodded. Arya left for her office wondering what kind of paperwork was waiting for her.

E'Liana had tended to Matt as best she could and was now letting nature take its course by allowing him to sleep for a little while. Right now though, she had other things to worry about.
Sitting at her desk, she pulled up Jaren Paal's file on her computer screen and shook her head mournfully. She didn't want to put this on such an exemplary file, but his behaviour had left him with no choice.
"BeTor to Jaren, please report to my office immediately."
A few minutes later, Paal walked slowly into her office, a look of dread more than evident in his features. "You wanted to see me, Doctor?"
"Indeed I did, Mr Jaren. Please, sit down."
She watched as he nervously did as he was told, and she suddenly wished that she wasn't the CMO any more. This was the part of the job she hated.
"I think we both know why you are sitting here. Falsifying reports is not allowed on any Starfleet vessel or indeed any medical pratice either. We spoke briefly earlier about what you did, and your reasons for doing it, and I know that the counsellor did say that you were just to be following orders. However, you are not an automaton, you are a competant young man. You should have known that such actions were unacceptable and as such I am forced to not only place this in your service record, but I also have to relieve you of duty until I am able to discuss this with the Captain and perhaps Starlfeet Medical when we return. Do you have anything to say?"
Paal was now looking at his shoes, wondering what the hell had made him follow the order of...a *Cardassian* of all people! He suddenly wanted to talk to their newly married counsellor and see exactly what part of faking a pregnancy seemed like a good idea to a person supposedly in charge of the ship's mental health.
But he said nothing.
Shaking his head, he merely got up from his seat and waited.
E'Liana looked at him, her face so formal and abrupt, but her eyes were pleading with him to see that this had to be done.
"I understand, doctor. Please let me know your decision." He waited until she had nodded and then left.
E'Liana closed her eyes, putting her head in her hands on her desk. A few moments later, she inhaled deeply and lifted her head. "BeTor to Captain Smith, please could I speak to you at your earliest convience. I have a matter of discipline to discuss with you."
<TAG Smith>
Briefly she wondered how she was going to discuss such a personal matter with him, and then realised that he may not even know the truth...would she have to break it to him? ~Kahless, I hope not...~ she thought to herself as she updated Paal's service record.

Information had passed down through the chain of command that Commander Reynolds had been attacked in Cargo Bay Two, the same place where the Raven’s newest shipment of Photon Torpedoes had been sent.
As McLean approached Cargo Bay Two he noticed two security guards standing guard. At first they raised their weapons in case of an attack but realizing who McLean was, then they quickly lowered their phaser rifles.
‘They have been expecting you.” The higher-ranking security officer said.
“What’s the situation?” McLean asked.
“There is a chance the intruder has tampered with the Photo Torpedoes.” The officer replied.
”Alright,” McLean said, “There will be a full Engineering team heading this way in a matter of minutes.”
“Understood sir.”
The Security Officer then slung his rifle onto his shoulder and pressed in a code into the Key Pad on the wall.
McLean stepped into Engineering and noticed nothing too out of place, aside from the abnormally large quantity of torpedoes resting in the cargo bay. Walking slowly, McLean pulled out his tricorder and began scans around the perimeter of the cargo bay; he needed to know if there was anything else that had been tampered with.
“Interesting.” McLean said out loud, “Normal baseline EMF readings for a starship cargo bay.”
McLean continued his scans and noticed Lt. Torek leaving the cargo bay. He hadn’t really gotten the chance to meet the new Operations Officer, but now wasn’t the time. Following a small bite on his tricorder McLean finally ended up at the photon torpedoes.
“Well let’s have a look shall we?” McLean said as he continued to scan the head of a single torpedo.
From behind him, McLean heard the doors open to the cargo bay. No doubt it’s the engineering team, McLean thought. Turning around he was happy to see several of his best engineers walking in with several engineering kits.
“You guys get to work on this problem. ID it, and then get a hold of me for further action. I am going to check out thirty-six Alpha.”
“Yes sir.” Replied the engineers.

Entering the bridge once again, Torek seated himself at the Science Station ...
"Computer .. Access logs .. Time-frame, Last two hours .. for Jefferies tube thirty six alpha .. Visual record."
"No visual records exist for requested area." the computer replied.
"Are there visual records for the entrance point to the Jefferies tube ?"
"Yes .. There are twenty seven visual records within the specified time-frame."
'Ahh .. Now we are getting somewhere' he thought ...
"Eliminate all known personnel from record." Torek ordered.
"One visual record remains."
"On screen !"
To say Carl was disappointed with what appeared was an understatement .. Whoever this was, knew just how to avoid being seen. Even allowing for the fact that the tube entrance was adjacent to Cargo bay two, he had managed to keep his face hidden until almost the last few seconds before entering ... There was no way Torek, or anyone else, for that matter, was going to be able to make out who this was ! One thing did stand out though .. The intruder, the one we can see at least, was wearing yellow..
"Computer .. Is it possible to enhance the image on screen and rotate it through say, thirty degrees ?"
"Not without loosing a significant portion of the authentic image."
"How accurate would the image be ?" knowing full well the answer he was going to get, even as he asked the question.
"The image will be fourteen point six percent accurate." the computer stated.
'Another dead-end' he sighed. But not quite. At least we know what color uniform to look for ! Of course, he could change his top, but why would he .. He has no way of knowing we have this information.
Torek looked round the bridge and signaled one of the Security Officers assigned here to approach ...
"Ensign .. I want you to get a piece of information to all your personnel .. It must be done by word-of-mouth .. NO comms are to be used, do you understand ?" Carl stressed, "I know what i'm asking is a tall order but I need it done .. and quickly."
Torek explained the situation, which the Officer took in and seemed to think about, before developing a determined look..
"Yes Sir .. I'll see to it."
He went back to his colleague and they spoke for a moment before he turned, nodded acknowledgment to Torek, and left the bridge.
'Ok .. That has narrowed the search down slightly'. he thought ..........

"Matt I'm glad that you recommended he be promoted," Caleb said runnig towards Matt. Matt only gave him a half smile before he fell asleep again.
Matt had rested rather comfortly in sickbay and woke with a start as he felt eyes on him. It seemed that E'liana cousin and Caleb had been scanning him. He couldn't help but laugh at the site. They were just two kids playing doctor. It then dawned on him that the laugh hadn't caused his head to hurt anymore.
"What are you two doing?" E'liana said sternly to both of them," I informed both of you that Matt needed his rest."
"E'liana it is alright," Matt said getting up with ease," I feel perfectly fine now." E'liana gave him a suspicious look as she scanned him.
"See, I feel almost 100%," Matt said," will you release me now?"
E'liana scanned him once again and then handed the tricorder to Caleb and Grilka.
"What do you think?" she asked. Matt eyed her and then at the two kids. He eyed them willingly to say that he was good enough to leave sickbay.
"What do you think?" Caleb asked the Klingon child, Grilka. Matt smiled at the fact that he was now comfortable talking to the child. Hopefully that will move on towards other Klingon's.
"He's fine, but I think we should keep him in...." Caleb started to say before Matt picked him up and started to tickle him. This action confused Grilka, but she said nothing.
"Okay, your fine," Caleb said between the laughs.
"Grilka, do you agree?" E'liana asked looking at Matt with interest.
"I suppose, though these humans are strange," she said," but the commander must remember to not get hurt next time."
"Yeah," Caleb said as he hopped off the biobed and ran towards some other medical instruments with Grilka.
"It's good that they are getting along," Matt said as he got off the bed.
"You are free to go Matt, but if you feel dizzy contact me," E'liana said as she gave him another hypospray.
"Ok," Matt said as he made his way to the door, but was met by the Captain and the newly promoted operations officer.
"As you can see, I'm free from our dear doctor's prison," Matt said as he joined the men.

"Prison, you say? I hope they looked after you well. It's good to see you are up and about again." Steve said to Matt and put a hand on his shoulder. "It's not exactly something you want on your first day as XO, is it?" He added, jokingly.
Having Matt back and ready for duty was a very good thing. Steve needed all his crew to be able to find their missing Admiral, and now they also need to find out who attacked Matt.....and more importantly why. Could there be more than one person involved on board? And what was their motive? Those were just two of the many questions that would need to be answered if they were to solve this.
Steve looked at both Matt and Carl. "So....what have we got? Anything we can go by to try and find the person or persons responsible?" He asked.
He looked to Matt. "I'm sorry to jump right into things just after you get back, but we need to get onto this right away...for all we know, the rest of the crew or even the ship could be at risk."
Just before either of them could reply, Steve's combadge chirped:
"BeTor to Captain Smith, please could I speak to you at your earliest convience. I have a matter of discipline to discuss with you."
Steve raised an eyebrow. 'I am only in the doorway.' He thought to himself. Then something jogged his thoughts, 'Discipline?' He wondered, and then tapped his combadge:
=/\= Smith here. I will be with you as soon as I can doctor. Smith out. =/\=
"Sorry about that gentlemen. Shall we?" He said and motioned out of Sickbay.

"Sorry about that gentlemen. Shall we?" He said and motioned out of Sickbay.
The three officers left sickbay and walked through the corridors discussing what was currently happening on there ship. Commander McLean and the security teams had yet to find anyone and Matt couldn't remember the person who had hit him.
"Captain Smith, could this be related to Vice Admiral MC kidnapping?" Matt asked," I checked and we haven't moved for four hours. Could it be that someone is trying to stall us from reaching New London?"
Matt had mulled over this question for a while now. Why else would someone take such measures? Matt didn't think that many people on the ship would have that type of enemies. For a moment he thought about Steven who had commanded his own starship, but most of his enemies were captured or on the run. There was also the small possibility that someone just wanted to kill them all.
"Well gentlemen what do you think of my theory?" Matt asked.

"That is quite a plausible theory Commander." Steve replied. Four hours was a long time to just be sitting dead in space. Who knows what could have happened to the Admiral within that timespan, or even where he could have been taken.
Things were never easy when in command. Even on the El Salvador, when he was properly in command, Steve still had to deal with the perils like what he was facing now. Looking back, he didn't think he had ever had an 'easy' mission since joining the fleet.
"It certainly seems that someone could indeed be stalling our journey. Better get moving again then." He added, then tapped his combadge:
=/\= Captain to the bridge. Mr Zoarial, please resume course for New London, best possible speed. Smith out =/\=
"We still don't know who kidnapped the Admiral, or why. But if there is someone on board who may know why, then I want him or her found."

Carl walked with the Captain and Executive Officer. As he did so he updated Captain Steven with all the information he had..
After listening to both Officer's the Captain tapped his comms badge ..
=^= Captain to the bridge .. Mr Zoarial, please resume course for New London .. Best possible speed .. Smith out =^=
"We still don't know who kidnapped the Admiral and why .. If there is someone aboard who 'may' know, then i want him, or her, found." Smith said after closing the comm.
"Yes Sir." said Torek.
"Have we any idea on just how many intruders may have got on board yet ?" asked Matt.
"Well obviously we cant be sure, but i would say only two, maybe three. Difficult to stay concealed if there were more." replied Carl.
"Should we be expecting any more 'guests' Mr Torek ?"
"We have no way of knowing that Sir .. The ones already here may just be trying to delay the Raven reaching New London .. Otherwise, why go to all this trouble, they could have remotely detonated a device and got away easily."
"That's true." mused Matt, nodding.
"In fact Sir." said Torek, "I think i'll head back to Cargo bay two and check on how Commander McLean is doing."
"Ok Lieutenant .. but keep us infor ......... "
"Intruder Alert .. Location .. Life Support " interrupted the ship's computer.
The Captain smacked his comms badge ..
"Security to Life Support .. Now." Both Smith and Reynolds moved toward the nearest turbo lift .. Torek thought for a second then shouted ..
"Sir's .. Wait !!" Carl said, stopping them in their tracks, "Computer .. Initiate 'site to site' transport .. Three to beam to Life Support."
The Captain nodded and as both he and the Exec' checked their sidearm setting, Carl felt the tell-tale grasp of a transporter beam ..........

"Intruder Alert .. Location .. Life Support " interrupted the ship's computer.
She didn't understand how the computer had been alerted by her presence. She had made sure to be careful, but it seemed that being careful wasn't good anymore. It only took her a few seconds to react to the computer's warning and she was quickly out of enviornmental control.
She had tried to clean everything up, but she knew that it was very possible that she might of missed something. As she looked back at the station she was working on she noticed that a transport was in progess. She immediately closed the jefferies tube and crawled out of there. If she was lucking she would have thirty seconds before whoever it was checked the tube.
As she reached the intersection between Jeffries Tube 46 Beta and Tube 23 Charlie, she realized that she had the perfect opportunity to deal more damage to the ship. They had been ordered to keep the ship away from the colony and that was what Janus and her were going to do.
As she propped the wall next to her, the activation subroutines wouldn't cause much chaos, so she decided to ignore it. She then saw it, a gel pack. If she could modify the gel pack to corrupt the systems it supported, it would give her enough time to do something more drastic. As she made the calculations, she could clearly hear security officers making there way towards her. Without thinking she interrupted the flow of the gel packs which caused the console to flicker and finally give way.
Without her noticing some of material in the gel pack had erupted and attached to her skin, which immediately started to burn. Knowing that there wasn't anything she could do at the moment she crawled through the pain until she was on Deck 5 and made it to her quarters.
"Computer emergency burn medical kit," she ordered," and contact Ensign Janus, tell him to report to my quarters."
At Enviornmental Control
"Were they able to do any damage?" Captain Smith asked as he checked some of the other systems.
"As far as I can tell they were not able to do any major damage," Matt reported," but we should run more test before we can make sure."
As soon as he finished those words the power flucuated a bit and finally gave way.
"What the hell just happened," Matt said as he checked the console. Matt saw where the problem was coming from and realized that the person who was tampering with the ship might be there.
"You three, the problem is coming from Jefferies Tube Beta 46," Matt said to the security officers. "Computer who is in Jefferies tube 46?"
"Unable to comply, no one is in Jefferies tube 46," the computer responded.
"Computer life signs in the area," Matt ordered.
"One."
"Who?" Matt asked.
"Unable to comply," the computer responded.
Matt couldn't understand why the computer couldn't give him a definite answer. As he thought about it, he realized that whoever was doing this must have tampered with the computer already, but hopefully they would be able to find something here.
"Lt. Torek, I want this place quarantined and I want to know who was in this room in the last three hours," Matt ordered. Matt was going to catch whoever was doing this and make them pay.

Torek was frustrated .. They had beamed in within mere seconds of the alert !
Whoever these people were, they knew the layout of the ship fully. They weren't picking the Jefferies tubes at random .. They were moving methodically from point 'A' to point 'B' .. This information opened up several possibilities, but his thoughts were interrupted by the Exec' speaking to him ..
"Lieutenant Torek, I want this place quarantined, and i want to know who was in this room in the last three hours."
The Captain ordered Matt to leave with him .. They left Carl in environmental control with two Security Officers .. he tapped his Comms badge ...
=^= Torek to Sickbay =^=
=^= Sickbay ... BeTor =^=
=^= Doctor, I need someone in environmental control immediately, no-one is injured, but i need full Bio-scans running throughout this room to ascertain just 'who' has had access in the last few hours =^=
=^= Mr Torek .. Have you 'any' idea how long that could take =^=
=^= Sorry Doctor .. I fully understand the request, but we need this information 'before' any possible catastrophic event on the Raven, not as an afterthought =^=
E'liana knew full well that everyone was under some pressure to resolve this situation .. She also knew that under normal circumstances, Torek would never have spoken to her in this manner. But he was Second Officer and as such couldn't spent time on the niceties.
=^= I'll have a team there in under three minutes =^= she replied, =^= Clear the room, no-one, and i 'DO' mean no-one is to enter the area. Also, keep the Security Officers with you outside, you will all need to be eliminated from the readouts .. BeTor out =^=
Carl turned to tell the Officers it was time to leave when he noticed one of them was about to pick up an item from the near-by console ..
"STOP !" Torek almost shouted. And the Officers hand halted a mere inch from the Tricorder he was reaching for.
'Why didn't i notice this before ?' Carl thought ..
"Ok .. Outside .. Now .." he ordered...
In the corridor, he waited for the arrival of the Medical team thinking, 'This could well be the breakthrough we have been waiting for' ..........

E’Liana could not quite believe what was happening on the normally quite sedate Raven. It was as though everyone had gone mad. She sighed to herself, wondering if she were the only sane person left. Probably.
Getting up from her chair, she made her way to the main sickbay to pick up supplies she tapped her commbadge, almost contacting Jaren, thinking this would be a good experience for him. Unfortunately this was not an option right now, at least until she had spoken to the Captain…
Grimacing at the prospect of what she was about to do, she quickly called Nurse Packer to help her with the scanning and then slowly said “computer, activate EMH”. She closed her eyes briefly, trying to calm the annoyance that was bubbling beneath the surface upon hearing the words “please state the na- oh, it’s you”
“yes, it’s me” she replied shortly. “I need you to look after things here for a while.”
“I am merely a supplement to your medical team, surely they can help.” He replied, eyebrow raised condescendingly.
“I am *aware* of that, *Doctor*. However, I need help on the current assignment, and the trainee has been suspended from duty.”
Not waiting for his reply – although she was sure she heard the words “incompetent” and “Doctor” in quick succession – she grabbed her various instruments and met Joy, who was waiting not-so-patiently at the door for her.
~*~
As they neared Environmental Control, E’Liana saw Torek looking rather worried, and began to worry herself. ~What have we got ourselves into this time?~ she wondered…

Torek saw the Doctor and a nurse approaching. He wasn't too sure how she would react to Carl's abruptness during their last conversation. "Lieutenant." E'liana said, as the two reached Torek and the Security Officers, "We came as soon as we could." she finished, raising an eyebrow.. As the nurses expression didn't alter in the slightest, Carl still wasn't too sure of BeTor's mood, was she being sarcastic, or just stating a fact ... He was going to go on the assumption that she fully understood his manner and that her comment was indeed a fact. "Thankyou for your prompt attendance Doctor .. There isn't much more i can tell you .. The room is sealed, no-one has gained access apart from the three here, since the alert." he said. E'liana seemed to be watching him closely as she expertly re-configured her tricorder. "Nurse." the Doctor said, nodding toward the two Security Officers .. Carl waited his turn. "Well." BeTor asked, a slight grim playing on her face, "Are you going to let me in there .. I 'am' rather busy ..?" "What .. Oh .. Sorry, yes Doctor." Carl replied, "Computer .. Open doors to environmental control .. Authorization Torek-Alpha-Two-Zero-Four." and stood aside as the massive doors silently opened .. He began to follow the Doctor and her Nurse inside when E'liana raised a hand, halting Carl so quickly that the two Officer's behind him almost stepped on him.. "Please wait out here Lieutenant. The task you have given us is difficult enough without you three re-contaminating the area any more." "Yes Doctor .. No problem .. Oh, there is a tricorder on top of the console just to the right of the door. You may want to che ...... " His voice trailed off and he reddened as he realized he was about to tell her her job. "Thankyou Mr Torek .. We will check that out first." said the Doctor as the doors closed behind her. Carl looked from the doors to the Security Officers, who decided instantly that the color of the opposite bulkhead needed very close scrutiny .......... Any luck finding our other visitor yet anyone ?

OOC: This is a jp between myself and our dear beloved Captain ;D
IC:
The turbolift sped along carrying the ship's captain and executive officer. Both of them had the same goal in mind, but one of them had an extra insentive of ending this. Matt was not positive that the person behind this was working with someone else. There was just no way that one person could do all of this.
"Captain, I think that...." Matt started to say before the turbolift suddenly stopped.
Steve turned to Matt just as his exec started to say something. He cut off quite abruptly when the turbolift stopped.
What the...?" Steve exclaimed. Almost as suddenly as the life stopped, the lights started flickering. "Whats going on?" He asked Matt, even though he knew the answer before it was even presented to him.
"Computer, what happened?" Matt asked frustrated now more than ever. He already knew what happened, but he hoped that it wasn't anything more than lift control.
"Auxillary control has been terminated along side with holodeck, lift, and astrometric control."
Matt couldn't help, but curse silently. Things were getting worse and worse for the ship.
"Captain I hope your ready for a good workout," Matt said as he propped open the lifts door. He had done this before, but he could remember that it had been fun the last time.
Steve groaned inwardly. Normally he was up for a little bit of exercise, but today just wasnt one of those days. 'Oh what the hell.' He thought, 'Keeps me fit, I guess'
"Ready as I'll ever be." He replied to Matt, who managed to open the doors. "Any ideas as to where we are?"
Matt looked upward and noticed that they weren't anywhere near there destination. As far as he could tell they where near Deck 5 which meant that they would break a sweat.
"Captain do you really want to know?" Matt asked as he helped the CO out of the lift.
"Thanks." Steve replied as Matt helped him. Matt;s last question rang alarm bells within Steve...It didnt sound good. "If its bad news, please break to me gently." He added, letting out a little laugh. "Why are missions never straightforward?" He asked, not meaning to sound serious
"Because the fates don't like us," Matt replied with a grin, "and if you want your answer just look up."
As Matt began to climb up the ladder he distinctly heard a groan come from the Captain.
Steve looked up as Matt suggested, and wasn't impressed with the sight. There was going to be just a little bit of climbing involved.....and that was an understatement.
"Perhaps they don't. But then it would be boring if everything went to plan all the time." He sighed and glanced at their destination again. "Well, best get going then." He added, eager to get the climbing over and done with.
It took them a good ten minutes to reach the bridge access junction and after a few seconds of tinkering with it, both of them entered the bridge.
Seeing the Captain and the XO popping up from the floor was something that didn't happen to often and surprised the ensign that was working next to the junction.
"Please don't shoot us," Matt said as he climbed out and saw the phaser aimed at them.
"Sorry sir," the ensign said.
Although he wasnt one for liking having a phaser pointed at him, Steve was happy that the bridge crew were vigilant and quick on their feet. He climbed out of the junction and closed the hatch.
Steve nodded to the ensign and as he walked past, he whispered to him: "Good work." The ensign looked suprised, but returned the nod and smiled. It wasnt every day that you pointed a phaser at your CO and be praised for it.
"Whats the prognosis people?" He asked, and thought that may have been a bit too vague, "What systems have we lost?" He added.
"We've lost transporters, warp drive, defletor control, weapons, and most non essential systems," the ensign reported," though we have been able to get the lift's back online."
"Couldn't you guys have done that ten minutes ago," Matt said as he made his way to the ops station and looked at the information. It seemed as the intruder was no longer being secretive. They were now using there own codes, which meant that he just had to find the combadge that it belonged to.
"Computer on which deck is Ensign Janus located?" Matt asked.
"Deck 11."
"Computer lockdown Deck 11," Matt ordered and turned to the Captain," we have found one of them."
Suddenly Steve brightened up. "Right, what are we waiting for?" He asked, not expecting an answer. He approached the center chair and pressed the comms button. =/\= Security detail to deck 11 =/\=
"Let's go." He said to Matt, moving to the back of the bridge.
