Before the ideas become to crazy lol oh wait Q2 beat me to it . I was just tossing out ideas for the new ship should we be allowed to have one. Like drew said Voyager stated it could work is twenty years not a realistic goal for a slipstream drive and Dan the federation was granted permission to use clocked ships during the dominion war now that we have Romanian ship onsite we can work it in that the treaty that made us allies gave us permission to use a cloking device again.

There's some specs here: www.sttff.net/insignia.htmlThese are fairly low, I don't think they represent what we're after, which I suppose is a Galaxy/Sovereign type flagship-size vessel. The pics on there make it look a bit like a Sov/Intrepid crossover, if we were to base the new ship on this class we're going to need to pump those specs up a bit.

Oh, I like that! It has almost the right proportions for Jon's design. Just double the size, and make it a bit taller. So that would be:
Length: 879.14 meters Beam (Width): 504.84 meters Height: 162.84 meters
(Note that this would make the ship about 200 meters longer than the Sovereign-class)
Sound good?

I know it's the section flagship but, I don't know, is 200 metres longer than a Sov too much...? How about 750 metres odd, I think over 800 m is a bit much for the Federation.
Oh and sorry guys, I meant to post on the mission tonight but am now too tired. I shall post tomorrow morning hopefully (by that I mean 10 hours time).

Is the new ship going to be ready for the next mission then?

That depends heavily on when the next mission starts. But in all seriousness, I haven't had a chance to work on this lately. As long as you don't want a Deck Listing, I could probably have the basic Specs done in time.

Well, am hoping we can wrap this current mission up over the course of the week. Am then planning for us to do R&R on Starbase 47, where we will cover Drew's promo to SA and then after that it'll be the next mission. In total, I guess we are talking about 2-3 weeks from now.
As long as we know where the bridge, engineering and sickbay are, then I think we can just work out the rest of the decks later on lol.

I had an idea don't retire the Nevada let her stay in the alliance fleet and have the new section flagship move where you want it to just because the new SA is the CO doesn't mean the ship needs to be retired. You could have some of your current crew take her over. As an example and no i am not trying to get my own command but have the CSTO in command of the escort under Drew of course or leave Dan in command so you have two ships the main and the escort, just a thought.

Hmm, interesting idea Jon. I'm not sure which ship Seth would choose in that case, I expect he'd want to stay with the Nevada...
