NEW BUSINESS
New Recruitment Policies
Since the introduction of the Recruitment Officer, several new policies and procedures have been created to increased membership and make the joining process smoother for potential members. Admiral Smith reported on his progress with Facebook, adding that it could be tied into Twitter as well to increase the site's presence on the web. Following Admiral Smith's report, the topic turned to clarification of the current joining procedure. After some discussion, the Section Admiral then presented a new, working procedure for joining, which was agreed upon as a reasonable process. It was also reported by Admiral Lin that the Section 47 Wiki was currently being resurrected and was in the process of being made ready to present to the members. Admiral Smith also requested assistance with reestablishing Section 47's presence in Star Trek webrings, and Admiral Drew and Lieutenant Commander Cohen offered to assist him in looking into current, active webrings.
No Motion was held.
Since this was merely a matter of reporting and discussion, no vote was necessary.
Role of the Fleet Rep (Drew)
Following recent discussion regarding the role of the Fleet Representative, the issue of how to use the position to the fullest advantage and better clarify exactly what the job entails was presented. It was suggested that the Fleet Representative have a more active role in the administration of the site. Many suggestions were presented, including adding the Fleet Representative to the Personnel and CCS Mailing Lists, taking over the Returning Officers duties, with the exception of the election which would be handled by the CCS Chief, running Inspections and the Ship of the Month, being CC'ed on communication between members and CSS, and even having a vote in the meetings. It was also emphasized that polls should be used and accurately reflect what was currently going on in CSS. It was also suggested that trivia points be offered for answering the polls as well as voting in the election. It was decided not to vote on giving the Fleet Representative a vote, and the matter of the Fleet Representative taking over the duties of the Returning Officer, save the Elections, was then brought to a vote, the rest being more brainstorming and further discussion.

No Motion was held.
As this was a matter of discussion, and to be resumed at a later date, no vote was required.
Selection of A New CCS Chief
With the absence of two CSS members, it was decided to table this matter until all CSS members could either be present or at last pass along their opinions and votes on the candidates.
