Captain Jon Park was sitting in his Ready room as the ship slipped out of warp and he heard the chime on his door ring out. "Enter." Jon stood as his Acting FO entered the room.
<Tag Dunowin>
Jon motioned to the seat across from him, "Please have a seat." Jon took his chair back "So how have you been likeing the FO postion?" Jon listened as his FO spoke. "Well you may have to keep the post a little longer, As of today's stardate Starfleet command has yet to send us a Person to be consitered for FO."
<Tag Dunowin>
Jon was about to say something else when the bridge called out. "Bridge to Captain Park." Jon motioned his FO to wait one moment and called out "Park here, Go ahead." He had no idea what was going on until he heard "We have a priorty one message from Starfleet Accademy." Jon was thinking why did they contact him on the Nevada. "Put it through." Jon turned to the big display on his wall.
"Captain Park...Oh i see your busy." On the screen was the Academy Commadant Admiral Harris Jonas. "Admiral i was just talking about a Postion to my FO, What can i do for you?" Harris looked at Jon and he knew what he wanted "Dunowin i will speck to you later."
Jon then looked at the screen and said "Ok admiral what is going on?" Harris looked at him and said "It has to do with your sister. She has gone missing......." Jon was tapping commands into the computer faster then he ever had before. "I can be at Earth in 3 days Admiral, Have you called our Parents." Harris nodded "Your mother as you know is here on a temp assinment and the Dallas is on its way back to earth."
Jon looked at the screen "The nevada will also be on it's way." Park looked at the screen "Is there any clues in to her investagation." Harris looked at him "No Captain there in no clues so far." Park nodded "See you in a Few days."
Jon closed the channel and moved on to the bridge. "Set a course for Earth. Warp 5." As the crew started follow his orders he turned to Commander Dunowin. "My sister is missing again. This time right out of the Acadamy."
Jon sat in his command chair "Engage warp." he knew his sister was in danger but not sure how he knew." He had to find her again but he tapped his combadge "Park to Marcus, Report to my ready room in 15 minutes." Park knew he had to tell his oldest friend that history is repeating itself.

News had been filtering down through the ship slowly about the reason why they were beating home for Starfleet Command at reasonable pace. Seth had been in one of the maintenance junctions, helping the engineering department with a faulty plasma conduit node. Apparently, the Captain's sister had gone missing - without any kind of explanation.
Helacaan pulled his head clear of the cut-open maintenance panel, twisting to make sure the jagged wall edge - where the conduit had exploded through the bulkhead - did not scythe him through the neck.
The thought of a longtime shipmate's familial trouble - with the added urgency of it being the Captain too - was enough to strike the of-late disused chords of empathy in his head. They were large, dusty and statuesque; colossal neurons purely conceptual in nature that had been shut sealed in dark caverns of his mind; avoided for too long.
His own sisters and his own brother were back at home on the furthest reaches of the Federation, in basically the wrong direction to where the Nevada was heading. It'd been so long; they were estranged from him, he realised. Thoughts ran through his head as he left the junction and proceeded to his quarters...
The colony's star Canis Major Delta was so distant that what if messages from the world weren't being passed properly through the layers of administration to Command? Anything might be taking place there; even subspace communication was slightly tedious from this range. He asked himself what the current activities of the Naal could be. He thought of how the relations between the southern hemisphere and the de-facto capital might've been progressing (and if they'd ceased their mutual political barbs amid the threats from the Caratavians, but that had been almost a year ago now).
The dark portal of space greeted him in his quarters; stars streaking by along with the closer-field specks of warp bubble distortion that often masqueraded for their larger stellar counterparts.
So it was on to Earth for the Nevada; it did seem to Seth the ship often made the trip. The vessel's fine crew would help solve the case of the Captain's missing sister, and Seth meanwhile, would search quietly for his own family inside his mind.

Dunowin had been down in Engineering when Captain Park called him to his ready room. He announced his arrival as soon as he exited the lift.
"Enter."
"You wanted to see me, sir?" he asked as he approached the desk.
"Please have a seat. So how have you been likeing the FO postion?"
"I learn something new everyday, sir." Dun replied as he sat down. "It has been a great experience for me and a step in the right direction to my own ship some day." he added. He had the feeling that his time as FO was coming to an end. The Captain had called him in to tell him that someone else had been assigned as FO.
"Well you may have to keep the post a little longer, As of today's stardate Starfleet command has yet to send us a Person to be consitered for FO."
Dun released a breathe that he hadn't realized that he had been holding.
"It will be an honor to continue serving as your First Officer, sir. Thank you."
Just as the CO was about to speak, they were interrupted by the bridge. They patched through a priorty call from the academy and Dun was dismissed so that they could speak in private. He went out and took a seat in the command chair on the bridge. A few moments later, he stood to relinguish the seat to Captain Park as he too exited the ready room.
"Set a course for Earth. Warp 5."
Before Dun could ask, the CO turned to him.
"My sister is missing again. This time right out of the Acadamy. Engage warp."
"How does someone go missing from the Academy?" Dun asked. "Do they know if she just left on her own?"
<Tag Capt>
After the CO spoke, he pressed the comm.
"Park to Marcus, Report to my ready room in 15 minutes."
Dun watched as his CO stood with a worried expression on his face. Without a word between them, the Captain made his way back into the room from which he had just recieved the bad news and Dunowin took command of the bridge once again.

"How does someone go missing from the Academy?" Dun asked. "Do they know if she just left on her own?"
Captain Park thought about it a moment. "No clue Commander and let me tell you they wouldn't have called me or our folks if they had a record of her leaving the Grounds."
Captain Park walked back into his ready room and was serching the reports from starfleet's investagation up to the current streaming data. About 10 mins into reading his door chime went off. "Enter." Park said and his friend entered and sat down with out and invite to do so. Jon smiled and took the seat across from him.
"I am sure you have heard by now they way things travel on a ship this small, My sister is missing right out of the Academy of all places." Marcus was shocked "Are you serious!! right out of the Academy and no record of her leaving." Jon picked up a Padd and handed it to Marcus. "Here is what they have so far."
Marcus read it and looked at him as well. "Do you want me to contact some Marine contacts i have at the Academy? Jon smiled and said " You know me like a book." Marcus got up "I will get right on it you will have a little more i hope by the time we reach earth."
Three Days later---------------------
Captain Park sat in his command chair wioth a big cup of coffee near him, The trip had been crazy to the point he lifted his no drinks on the bridge policy. He needed the jolt since he hadn't slept in the past 24 hours since he knew they were close to earth.
He stood as the ship docked with the shipyard since Paerk had they idea he would have to leave fast and docking with the starbase would take to long.
"All Hands this is Captain Jon Park, I am granting R & R while we are here on Earth. I expect us to be here about a week but that can change with any moment. Park out." Jon looked at his command crew "I am also granting R & R for you as well Unless...." Marcus who was on the bridge at Jon's request stepped forward.
"With all due respect sir, I would like to assist you with your family looking into your sister's dissapperance." Marcus looked at the others looking to see who else would join him in his statement.

The news of his quick transfer came as a huge surprise to Isaiah. All he knew was apparently the USS Nevada needed a Marine Officer, and apparently Starbase Forty-Seven did not anymore. At this point, Isaiah did not care anymore. He just wanted to stay in one place for a while. It was as simple as that.
The familiar sound of the transporter sequence filled his ears as he transported aboard the Nevada. He took his first step off the transporter pad and onto the deck, and felt and unusual sensation: unbalance. Isaiah had never actually felt unbalance before, so it was certainly a new sensation. Thankfully, Isaiah took it in stride and regarded it as something that would keep him on his toes. Isaiah nodded to the transport chief and made his way to the bridge.
Finding the Captain on the bridge, he took his first step forward and said, "Captain Park. My transfer orders, sir." Isaiah handed his new Commanding officer the padd with the pertinent information. "Lieutenant Isaiah Johnson, reporting."
(Park)
"As I am sure you are aware, sir, I served as the Chief Engineer of my previous assignment for a number of years, so if I can be of assistance in Engineering, I will make myself available."

Captain Park. My transfer orders, sir." Jon looked up to see and young Officer in Marine colors. the young officer was holding out a padd. "Lieutenant Isaiah Johnson, reporting."
Jon took the Padd and read the orders, they were from starfleet Marine corp and Command. "Very good Lieutenant." Jon tapped the Padd and then handed it back "Here are you quaters and the Marine barracks and traininbg center." Park looked up "Anything else?"
"As I am sure you are aware, sir, I served as the Chief Engineer of my previous assignment for a number of years, so if I can be of assistance in Engineering, I will make myself available."
Park thought a moment "Yes i did read that in your service record, As for your second in command if you choose too keep him is Marine Captain Paul Marcus, he has been filling in as Marine CO since we had none." Jon looked at this new officer "He is a good man but it's your command and he knows his place dispite rank so i would urge you to keep him, but as i said it your command."
Jon looked at him "Anything else?" after specking to the officer a bit more he said to him "Dismissed." Jon watched as he left the bridge, he wondered how this young man will play in the grand design of the ship.

"With all due respect sir, I would like to assist you with your family looking into your sister's dissapperance." Marcus looked at the others looking to see who else would join him in his statement.
Lieutenant Hasak was the officer manning the operations station on the bridge. Seth Helacaan was below-deck in his quarters or somewhere else besides, preparing for his disembarkment to the - magnificent - Earth orbiting Starbase.
"Sir, it's my belief that Lieutenant Helacaan also wants to assist in finding your sister."
Other such nods of agreement, approval were given around the bridge, and in the Benzite Hasak's opinion the Captain was moved by his crew's support.
Over the course of the next half hour the ship moved into dock, slotting into the station's main hull as its orbital trajectories gradually matched to one another. Coming alongside the dock, Hasak felt the ship latch its extending umbilical to the mooring's own mechanism; clunks and whirrings were heard distantly on the bridge as the Nevada finally came to rest with respect to the starbase.
The assistant ops chief excused himself from the bridge, leaving Nayunski to take the station. It was with some hesitation, as the latter wasn't normally qualified for the master ops console; however, while the ship was docked at starbase it was allowable.
He lightly tapped his commbadge in the passageway, en route to the docking vestibule, "Lieutenant Helacaan, sir?"
"Yes, Hasak?" a rather dusty voice came slowly.
"I'm on the way to the Starbase and perhaps heading to the surface. Would you want to join me?"
"No thank you, Lieutenant," Seth's voice replied, "I think I'll make my own way there in time. No offence," the Ops chief added.
"None taken," Hasak replied, and would've raised an eyebrow if he'd been able, "I'll see you soon, sir." The channel was cut, and momentarily before that Hasak had heard the sounds of gusting winds, punctuating the background of Seth's end of the line. It must've been holographically simulated, meaning the human was on the Nevada's holodeck. Hasak grew more surprised, marginally concerned even. It wouldn't be for the first time.
He'd already decided it was a substandard simulation. No, not just that, it was in fact a very poor simulation. He'd been cursing himself for not taking proper care in programming it, but thought better than to dwell on such things for so long, and instead turned to survey his next climb-route up the rock face. A difficult task.
Looking down from this wide plateau - almost like a flat area of rolling landscape such was its size - he could see all the lands around for a good hundred miles. They were meant to simulate the mesas of some of the rockier regions of his colonial home. The plateau he was on was rocky and broken too, slabs of sand-coloured stone shelved against each other haphazardly.
He began the next climb, instantly and easily switching his thoughts away from the activity. He'd had good practice recently; the process of climbing the rock was now almost meditative.
Seth couldn't immediately bring to mind the reason why he hadn't headed to the Starbase or indeed, as his earnest assistant had brought up, down to planet Earth. If it was solitude he wanted, he thought angrily as he grasped at a handhold, then why not at least head to the Starbase's holodeck facilities - better choices, more realistic simulation, access to other conveniences not part of a starship besides? Seclusion and a touch of home, the Starbase could give that more readily. Could it then be apathy? He cocked his head as he stabilised his body against the rock. Perhaps.
But still it remained hidden; and replacing it on a layer above was unoften-felt bubbling rage, obscuring the truth. No, the real reason for him climbing this rock face, while he was cocooned in this poor imitation of his homeworld, cut-off from everything else in existence, might well be at the top of the rock face.
<tbc> - will get down there to help find the Captain's sister soon

Sharon was in her office going over reports, things just never changed just stayed the same, always some brawl in ten-forward that her people had to deal with, least it was humans and not klingons or any other race she sighed and sipped her tea then her console beeped.
Sharon turned and tapped the controls and a message had been sent to the Captain letting him know about his sister going missing at the academy and it was under dubious conditions. Sharon [word deleted] down her console and got up stretching and left her office She headed down the corridor and entered the lift taking it up to the bridge, she looked and saw the Captain sitting in his seat and took her place at tactical.
Sharon looked over the reports at tactical and nothing was odd or unusual, so she walked over to where Jon was. "Captain, may I talk to you in your office please." Sharon asked.

Jon had dismissed many of his officers so they could get ready for there trip to the surface, Park was reading an updated report on a few things when the turbolift door opened and out came his head of secuirty.
"Captain, may I talk to you in your office please.", Jon nodded and looked at the helm. "You have the conn." Jon walked into the Ready room and sat behind his desk. His Secuirty head had changed since they both found out he was getting the command he always deserved.
"Yes Commander Wolf you wanted to see me." Park said, he was wondering what had brought to him. Park looked at the officer and hoped it wasn't bad news.

Sharon followed Jon into his office and she could tell he was concerned and thought possibly she had even more bad news.
"Yes Commander Wolf you wanted to see me." Park said, he was wondering what had brought to him. Park looked at the officer and hoped it wasn't bad news.
"Captain, I would like to offer my services in the search for your sister, it came to my attention that shes missing, so if I can help please give the word, we have a lot of sources here on the ship that can be helpful." Sharon stated.

He grasped the last hand hold, dust shifting from the often-unused - in the context of the simulation - jutting of rock. His knuckles whitened as he gripped for what was as good as dear life, and with effort he pulled himself on to the top of the rock face. Immediately shadows cast across his face, leaping across the dry top-surface on to his face and up to his eyes - blotting out the simulated Canis Major Delta sun.
"Hello, at last," Seth grunted, pulling himself to his feet and receiving no assistance from the blotter.
"Hello, Seth. Come on, stand up." The person sidestepped out of the path of the solar rays, temporarily blinding Seth and causing him to look away from everything. He shielded his eyes and tried to look at nothing but the ground until he'd left the holodeck.
It was stunningly bright and clear everywhere it was possible to look. Blue atmospheres burst through the averaged grey-white sky which tended to dominate Ascension the majority of the time. Specific features spread across the land were well-defined and easily visible; everything possessed a certain crispness.
"We both know why we're here," Seth said, dusting himself off at last, not diverging his sight from the point of rock he'd set himself on.
The Caratavian said nothing. Seth reluctantly looked him up and down; he was impressed with the authentic appearance of the splinter group member. But then, he supposed, even if the affairs of his homeworld weren't that well known to the Federation, the physical appearance of a Caratavian insurgent could be made convincing enough through sheer persistence of intel.
Finally the man nodded. He cast his dark eyes - the rims ravaged by all manner of scars and the results of substance abuse - to the horizon. Of course, Seth thought as he watched the grim sight, the Caratavians weren't quite as unified in principle and goal as some might've thought; far from it in fact. Indeed, Seth knew, they didn't have a clearly defined constitutional purpose, or anything that was recognised by the Wezean government.
"So you've reached Earth," the man said. "I'm impressed, Seth, you've managed to return to the heart of the Federation in a very short time; much shorter than the time allotted to you."
Seth scowled, concentratedly avoiding looking too closely at the man and surveying the surrounding lands once again. He couldn't however, refrain from a retort, "Not that it's anything to do with you..."
"Just watch it, Helacaan," the voice warned, cracking with effort. "You know you're watched; directed; with duties to fulfill. You can't afford negligence or mistakes."
Seth shook his head. He was being used; both of them knew it. Neither, however, would do anything about it. All Seth could do was continue about his duties.
Starbase - Earth orbit
When he was approached by the man with the PADD, Seth was unfortunately witnessing somebody drinking themselves silly in a bar. The Ops officer had his head perked up over the heads of others, straining from his table to witness the incredible but veritably unhealthy feat of consumption. There was something of a hubbub around the fellow, and Seth was waiting to see who would be the first to try and put an end to the life-draining affair.
"Excuse me, sir... Sir," the man annoyingly pushed the PADD into his face, "Are you from the Nevada?"
"Yes," Seth said, turning in surprise but still in truth waiting for the conversation to end. "What do you want?"
"I have information, in part as pertaining to your Captain's missing family member? Just information; do with it what you will."
Seth took the PADD with a sigh and had a quick read. He quickly found himself re-reading it in some shock, then looked up, "Where did you get this?" he demanded. But the man had gone.
Pieces of information, he mused alone at a table - as the poor drunk collapsed at the bar in the background - definitely worth informing the Captain of. Of course, it was even more mystifying with the additional info attached to the PADD's datafile...
Seth went to search for the Captain, hoping to find him quickly in order to inform him of these 'findings'... Hopefully they could jump-start this investigation, and perhaps get it towards finished while they'd only really just arrived...

Jon spoke softly to Sharon "Thank you Commander, i would have like you to take some well earned shore leave however i welcome the help you can offer." Jon knew this would be difficult with what they knew so far. "I am meeting the head of the investigation in an hour at Star fleet Security. If you want to join me i will be in Transporter room 2."
<Tag Wolf>
After dismissing Commander Wolf Jon look out his window onto earth, From where the ship was docked in a Repair dock he could see all of the west coast. He could see where Star fleet was, as well as several other places. "Computer has the USS Dallas arrived yet?" The computer answered so fast he had to remember he was in the heart of the Federation so he got all updates as they were sent. "The USS Dallas arrived at 1325 today."
Jon headed to the Transporter room and was surprised to see several officers waiting. "Ensign Hori Beam us to Starfleet Security." Jon took his place on the Padd. "Energize."
Earth, Star fleet Security------------------------------------------------
Next thing Jon knew he was standing not only in a different place but facing two officers he knew very well. "Admiral Paris, Admiral Janeway it's good to see you." Jon said as he stepped down from the Padd and shook each Admiral's Hand. "Captain Park Congrats on your Appointment to Command of the Nevada." Janeway said. Admiral Paris Added "We knew another member of your great and noble family would get a command, and after what happened with your Father it's a great thing."
Jon turned to introduce his crew. "Admiral's Janeway and Paris this is my First officer Lt.Commander Dunowin and my Chief of Security Commander Sharon Wolf." Admiral Janeway said "I have heard great things from your Captain about you both. Now to the matter at hand. Commander Tuvok has done several scans of the area and has not found anything yet."
As they exited the turbolift area Janeway continued. "There has been only 5 ships that have left Earth since your sister disappeared Captain Park. 2 Federation ships, The Uss Northstar and the Uss Botha." Jon smiled when he heard a ship he had friends on were still in service. "Admiral what are the other ships?" Jon asked. Admiral Paris answered his questions
"The others were a Klingon Bird of Pray, A Vulcan Apollo-class starship and Cardassion Medical ship." Paris said they were now entering the main halls of the Security building heading to one of the class rooms. "I will let you know all the Non-Federation ships as well as the Federation ships were searched before we let them leave the systems." They just entered the Class room when a new voice added "And yet we need to find them again."
Jon and all the others turned to see not only Commander tuvok but also his parents." Commander Tuvok, and Captain and Lt.Commander Park." Admiral Paris said. " Jon gave his parents a hug and said "Captain Park and Lt.Commander Park this is my crew. My XO Lt.Commander Dunowin and Chief of Security Commander Sharon Wolf."
<Tag Dunowin,Wolf>
Jon turned back to Commander Tuvok. "Commander how well was the Klingon ship searched?" Tuvok looked at him with interest. "Do you believe the search teams were in haste?" Jon looked at him. "I am not sure Commander but i have a feeling History is repeating itself."
As Park was finishing that last statement in ran his Operations Chief with a Padd and he knew things were about to get interesting. Seth Helacaan had a Padd in his hand and walked right up to him.
