Motion One: Ratification of the Section 47 Constitution (Drew)
As required by the Constitution, the CSS will review and discuss the current provisions of the Constitution, debate proposed changes and finally ratify the Constitution. If the CSS fail to ratify the Constitution, then the Section Admiral, Site XO and CCS Chief will start immediate work on writing a new document for consideration.
Fleet Admiral McCormick had previously submitted a draft proposal for changes to the structure of the Constitution, which had been distributed to the CSS prior to the meeting for consideration. A discussion took place and it was broadly agreed to accept the changes proposed by Admiral McCormick.
It was highlighted that the role and duties of the Recruitment Officer had not been added to the Constitution, it was agreed that the job description submitted by Section Admiral Paul Drew in May 2010, and agreed to by CSS, would be included to the Constitution.
A motion was put forward by Admiral Drew to accept Admiral McCormickβs proposed changes, the addition of the Recruitment Officer to the Constitution, and to ratify the site Constitution for a further 12 months.
Votes: 7 ayes, 1 Abstain
Result: The Section 47 Site Constitution has been ratified until May 2012.
Motion Two: CSS Position Changes (Drew) [Marked as confidential on the Agenda]
SA Drew would like to propose that Rear Admiral Sonak Reckus and Captain Matthew Reynolds switch the positions of Personnel Officer and Bios Officer. Both officers have given their approval to this suggestion.
Admiral Drew informed CSS of the reasons for his suggestion, and once it was clear both officers involved were happy with the proposed change, a motion was quickly put forward to accept the change.
Votes: 6 Ayes, 2 Abstains
Result: Admiral Reckus and Captain Reynolds will switch CSS positions, although Captain Reynolds will remain Commendations Officer.
Motion Three: Selection of a new Chief Justice (Drew)
SA Drew will present the applicants to the CSS, who will select the most appropriate candidate for the position.
Admiral Drew informed CSS that due to lack of applicants this motion was withdrawn, and was instead replaced by a request from Commodore Torek to create a Trivia Sub-board that would host trivia questions.
The merits of the idea were discussed and it was agreed by all present that the request should be granted and a motion was put forward to that effect.
Votes: 6 Ayes, 2 Abstains
Result: A Trivia Sub-board will be created.
Promotions, Command Assignments and Commendations
Motion Four: Nomination for Commander First Class Megan Garrett to receive the Roddenberry Star (Reynolds)
For her many years of dedicated service and support to Section 47 in a wide variety of guises, Commander Garrett has been nominated for this award. She is a truly remarkable member, who embodies everything good about Section 47.
Votes: 8 Ayes
Result: Medal awarded.
Motion Five: Nomination for Commodore Savot to receive the Roddenberry Star (Reynolds)
For his superb and wonderful leadership and service as Squadron Commander, Commodore Savot has been nominated for this award. He is a hard working and dedicated member, who supports his Captains and helps maintain an active fleet.
Votes: 8 Ayes
Result: Medal awarded.
Motion Six: Nomination for Commander First Class Dan Trek to receive the Roddenberry Star (Reynolds)
Commander Trek is a member who has stuck with S47 almost since the beginning. This member is always on hand to help whenever he can and will always offer his support to anyone, be it the newest cadet or the oldest admiral

Motion Seven: Nomination for Commander First Class Jamey Gaz to receive the James T. Kirk Shooting Star Award (Reynolds)
For many years now Commander Gaz has provided many graphics for the site, often with very little thanks or acknowledgment. He works to a consistent high standard and is responsible for many of the colourful and well designed aspects of the site.

Motion Eight: Nomination for Captain Gheskori to receive the Captains Cross (Reynolds)
For an excellent job in forming and leading the USS Enzio during her first year with Section 47. Captain Gheskori has displayed many commendable leadership qualities and is an excellent example to others.

Motion Nine: Nomination for Captain Stacey Jackson to receive the Captains Cross (Reynolds)
Since the formation of the USS Rainer, Captain Jackson has done an excellent job in forming her crew together into a simming unit and being an outstanding example to them all by her mature and stabilising leadership.

Motion Ten: Nomination for Fleet Admiral Karynn McCormick to receive the Roddenberry Star (Drew)
For her many years of dedicated and selfless service to Section 47.

Motion Eleven: Nomination for Fleet Admiral Magellan Lin to receive the Roddenberry Star (Drew)
For his hard work and tremendous efforts serving Section 47.

Motion Thirteen: Promotion of Captain Matthew Reynolds to Commodore (Drew)
For his many years of service to CSS and Section 47, Admiral Drew would like to recommend Matthew Reynolds for promotion.
There was a brief discussion on the service of the officer and it was generally agreed that Captain Reynolds had performed well in his role as a CSS member. The matter was put to a vote.

For constant excellent work and dedicated effort.
Votes: 4 Ayes, 1 Nay, 1 Abstain, as neither Admiral Reckus nor Admiral Smith were aware of this motion they were unable to submit votes.
