S'reena gave Yrdis a dark look, but smiled nonetheless as he was absolutely right. Due to the inability to command of both herself and Captain Marcell last mission, Commander Blayne had been forced to take command of the Hanson. She watched as he directed his cadet towards a console, and winced ever so slightly. She knew what the spychological profiles of this crew would most likely conclude to: the crew was absolutely nuts.
She smirked again, this time at Captain Marcell who just arrived on the bridge. Smoothly, she vacated the command seat and patted it as she moved over to her own seat. "I've kept it nice and warm for you captain," she said, grinning broadly, "all cadets are aboard and have reported to their instructors. Also we've got a couple of guests aboard in the persons of Commanders Bern, O'Connor, Ford and Mackler. It is possible that Lieutenant Colonel Q2 will be signing on soon as well, but we are not entirely certain yet."
<Marcell>
At Marcell's nod, S'reena adressed the CNO's. "Mr Gordon, please have your cadet (Gonto) set course for the nebula we've dubbed Ink Patch. There is some research still to be done there. Have him take us there at a leasurely pace, so that he'll get acquainted with the navigational and helm systems. If you please, allow him to execute several evasive maneuvres."
<Gordon/Gonto/Bern>
She turned around to face the small group of scientists. "Have the sensors been fixed yet? We're going to need those." She flashed a grin at Joan, and received a grin right back. "How did they do on figuring the problem out?"
<McCormick>
She tapped her combadge. "Bridge to sickbay, status?"
<Black/BeTor>
ooc: to cadets, not receiving a tag does not mean that you're not allowed to post;) if you've something to report, by all means go ahead.

YrDis tapped Cadet Vise on the shoulder and she looked up from her PADD. She had been busily reviewing the psycholigcal profiles of the senior officers, eyes sometimes widening with disbelief at the occasionally erratic behaviour of some of the senior officers.
"It's time to take a brief break from that and watch the rest of the cadets. Although we will be completing the senior officer review, your true test will come when the two of us evaluate the new cadets. Watch them closely and see how they carry on with their assignments, who does well and poorly. And always keep in mind that we are both members of the crew of the Hanson and might be called on to handle any station in an emergency."
<Cadet Vise>
YrDis backed out of the counselling cadets view as she watched the cadets interact with the instructors. She seemed to be capable. However, he was still having trouble concentrating due to the buzzing in his ears. This had been going on since the last mission. He had been involved in some ground combat and thought that the explosions had messed up his hearing a little. He had been checked out and cleared for duty when he had gotten back to the ship at the time and didn't think it was necessary to go back.
In the meantime, the Hanson had left spacedock and was beginning it's journey to the Ink Patch.

Seth accompanied Travor Gonto and DJ Gordon to the bridge. The vessel that they were on was just as new to him as it was to the cadet and in a way he was glad that he wouldn't be the only one who needed to get used to the ship a bit.
Seth was perfectly aware that he was 'second in command' at the helm, so he decided to stay on the background a bit unless he felt that Travor needed some guidance.
He saw Travor taking place at the Helm and it made him remember his last training mission, which seemed ages ago. Seth was very glad that he had this opportunity to join the Hanson on a mission while the Hepta seemed to be glued to the dock, not going anywhere to see some action.

Just as The ship was leaving dock Damion had walked out of sickbay and returned to the bridge. As he stepped onto the bridge he took note of all the activity around him and noticed the empty science console in front of ops. He walked over and signed on to the LCARS Terminal and started Reading the shield frequency to him self.
"Sir" he said out loud "Sorry it could be me but there seems to be a discrepancy in the shield modulations"
OOC:is it OK to say that??

Matt's instructor had still not arrived on the bridge, so he was the only one at the ops station.
When Commandeer Hope asked for sensors, it took Matt a few seconds to respond,
"Sensors are operational and within parameters,"
"Good cadet," Commander Hope said. Matt saw that the bridge was full of people, who were working there butts off especially the cadets. When Damion passed Matt's station, Matt gave him a nod of acknowledgement. Matt was glad he would be working with Damion since he knew that Damion knew his stuff. As the ship left space dock, Matt took a second and just saw the viewscreen. This was it thought Matt, everything I do from now on will effect my career.It gave Matt a chilling feeling, but he got over it and went back to work.

OFF: 'when you've read this so I can delete it.' ;D
ON:
"Can you give me a run through with the protocol here?" asked Reman.
"Sure," said William. "First off, the commanding officer, usually the Captain or First Officer, will constantly ask for status reports, because they hate feeling useless, especially when they have no job at the moment. Get used to answering them every five seconds."
"Status report, please, Mr. Ford," said S'reena, smirking.
"Cadet Jared's training has begun. Technically, I'm not on duty right now, so you'll need to ask Jared for scientific info." William turned back to Reman. "Now, the other big thing is talking to the other bridge crew. Ops and science are always talking. Its sort of like an incessant drone. But it does irk some people, so if there's a really long, technical, dry piece of information, and there's not a red alert klaxon going off, you could just send it over to their console, no audio. You'll also need to talk to the navigator. Typically, you'll just send them coordinates. Never talk to the person in the command chair unless you've got something important to tell them or they talk to you. You shouldn't be talking about off-duty activities, but its okay to relax a bit. Um, that means you can slouch a little bit, but not too much, you don't need to address the Captain as 'sir' every sentence, that sort of thing." William went on for another minute, trying to remember anything else about protocol.

'I shall remember that, Commander' Jared replied.
He was glad that there wasn't too much to it. Just navigation needing on this ship, like on his old one, other people to tell them where things are and the ops station needing...
'What do Ops need to know from science?' he inquired
So far things didn't seem too hard. You scan, you tell Navigation what not to crash into and find out what you can from interesting pieces of crap floating around within range. He also wondered if starfleet vessels came with the expensive and less than reliable tachyon grid sensors that his old ship had for detecting cloaked vessels. Asking would be favourite here, he thought.
'Also, can we detect cloaked ships on these sensors?'

OOC: Am backposting a bit here... "Bridge to sickbay, status" E'Liana nervously tapped her combadge in reply, wondering where the other's had gone. "BeTor here, everything seems in order. We appear to have adequate supplies onboard for the moment. I am currently checking through medical proflies of the crew to familiarise myself with any ailments I may need to treat." OOC: Dunno what else to put at the moment, assuming that looking through records isn't a breach of privacy

"They figured it out really fast. Sensors are still on the fritz, but we are working on it, and maybe ops can help us. I have an idea about that commander. Cadet Yevar and I are going to go check something out. Ford and Jared will be here if needed." Joan says heading out with Fenel.
They head off the bridge toward the main sensor grid. It seems something has gone wrong with the last mission, and Joan wants to see what is really going on. It doesn't take them long to get to the sensor grid.
"Okay, we need to do several sensor sweeps. I just hope we can find out what is wrong. Are you okay?" Joan says looking over at Fenel.

"hmm, oh I'm fine it's just a lot to get used to. I thought I'd be on the Conquerer for another week at least." Fenel replied, the sensor grid wasn't necessarily the lab, but it was better then the crowded science station.
"Before I forget, there's a storage contained on the wall over there." Joan pointed at the container. "Grab a Tricorder from there, from now on you'll need it."
Fenel went and grabbed a tricorder, turned it on and allowed herself to get used to the functions. "Will you be my instructer for the rest of the mission?" Fenel asked, even though Joan seemed younger to her (not that she was familiar with human lifespan) she knew McCormick better then Commander Ford.

Before leaving the bridge, a cadet calls out for her. She stops in her tracks and finds her way over to the security section.
"Well cadet, the first thing you can do is familarize yourself with the ship. You need to know every deck by heart, because you never know when the ship could be invaded. I am also sending you to the holodeck. There you will run program Stick Sift Three. It will help you to practise your shooting. You know it wouldn't hurt you to join us. We can all learn a little about each. You bring along the necessary specks of the ship and read while we check the ships sensor grid, and then afterwards we will all practise shooting. We all need to know how." Joan says, and takes both caets to the sensor grid.
Now back to the present, Joan notices several things wrong with the grid, and wonders what could have caused this. They continue to scan, and find nothing wrong.
"Well we have to report this to Ford and Reman. Fenel if you will please make that report." Joan says, and then walks over to the other cadet. "How are you making out memorizing the ship?"

OOC: Dunno what else to put at the moment, assuming that looking through records isn't a breach of privacy (OOC: Not when your the CMO its not Here is a graphic of what our Sickbay looks like, in case you didnt know: www.edwardsnet.eclipse.co.uk/images/Intrepid-sickbay.jpg)Jason walked quickly into Sickbay, and seeing E'Liana at a console, came over. "Sorry about that. I was way-layed by a hypochondriac Cadet who was convinced he had Dorek Syndrome. I took care of that quickly by pointing out that he wasn't Ferengi, and only Ferengi are susceptible to it." He looked around the room, and noticed that they weren't any patients are present, and therefore no one to use as a guinea pig for training E'Liana. "Alright now, to start your training as a Chief Medical Officer. Before I begin, I must warn you: this isn't going to be easy. I am going to challenge you, test the limits of your abilities, and even provide with a challenge or two that you won't even be able to solve. But that is the life of a Chief Medical Officer, so you'll have to get used to it." He gestured around the room. "As you can see, there isn't really anyone injured in Sickbay that I can use to teach you with. However, I always say practical experience is the best teacher, so we'll dive right into it." "Computer, activate Medical Training Protocol One-Seven-Alpha," he instructed the Computer. And very quickly, Jason and E'Liana were caught up in a Transporter beam. They found themselves in what looked like Sickbay, but the calmness had disappeared. The room was slightly darkened, and red lights were flashing on and off along the ceiling, coupled with emergency klaxons. Medical Personnel were rushing around Sickbay, tending to people in various states of injury. The Staff, however, were ignoring the presence of Jason and E'Liana. Jason turned to E'Liana, who was looking around the room in surprise. "Don't worry, nothing has gone catastrophically wrong. We are on the Holodeck, in a training simulation. The ship is currently under attack, and we have wounded. As I said, the best way to learn is by experience. We have the benefit here that people won't actually die in the process, but any task I assign to you will be evaluated. And now, Computer, begin simulation." Suddenly, the Medical Staff started responding to them. Rachel came up to them. "Doctor, we've got a patient who just hit by an exploding power conduit, with third-degree plasma burns over his face and chest. His pulse is weak, and he's moaning." Jason nodded to E'Liana to follow and they went over to the biobed he was laying on. Rachel didn't include that he was moaning in pain rather loudly. He turned to E'Liana. "The first thing we do, is administer a pain-killer to make him a little more comfortable. Rachel, get me a hypo, and 5 CCs Kayolene." She handed it to him, and he continued. "This is a hypospray, as you probably know. CC stands for cubic centimeter, a standard measurement in medicine. You insert the medication into the back of the hypospray like this, program the amount in but pressing the buttons on it. Then you put the injector at the top against the patients neck, and press the big button like so." It hissed as he pressed it. "Next, we need to get his heart stabilized. Rachel, get me some Inaprovaline. Inaprovaline is a cardio-stimulator drug that is used to improve a patients condition by aiding his heart. It's your turn. Inject him with 10 CCs." He held out the hypo to her. She took, then cautiously did as he had done, and injected the patient. She looked relieved as the hiss sounded. "Excellent. Next, we need to treat the burns on his skin." He picked a small device about the size of his fist. "This is a dermal regenerator, and can be used to repair skin, muscle tissue, and even bone. You touch this button here, then run it over the skin slowly like this." He activated it, and then run it over the patient's forehead, and skin began to look more normal. He stopped and held it out. "Once again, your turn. Heal the burns on the rest of his face." She seemed a little nervous as she took it, but as she pressed it and moved it very slowly over the skin, she became more confident and continued. After a minute, his entire face was healed. Jason smiled. "Excellent. You've completed the first part of this exercise. Computer, freeze program." All the characters stopped moving. "Unfortunately, it isnt just about knowing how to treat someone, but also knowing how to treat first. The first rule of Medical Triage is that, no matter who it is that's hurt, you treat the most badly injured person first. The rule is: Make sure they'll survive, then move on to the next one. Let's see how you do on that." He then issued another command. "Computer, Medical Training Program One-Seven-Beta." After a moment, the door to Sickbay opened. An engineer came in supporting a Crewman. "This technician was injured when the console exploded," the engineer explained. Jason nodded, and he and E'Liana helped the technician over to a biobed. Then, the door came open again, and Captain Marcell came in, urging forward a Bridge Officer, DJ Gordon. "Cadet! Our Helmsman was knocked to the floor, is scraped up and has a concussion. I've got a headache from being thrown to the ground and can't think clearly. Take care of us so we can get back to the Bridge!" Jason leaned over to E'Liana. "In case you're wondering, no this isn't our real crew, but they are part of the test. You must decide whom to treat first." Marcell looked at E'Liana "Cadet?!" (OOC: I know this was a little long, but was necessary. What do you do now? Note to the rest of the Cadets: that these arent the real Captain Marcell, or Commander Gordon. These are only simulations of them, so don't post them as being in Sickbay.)

Tony stepped onto the bridge and surveyed the action. He was about 5 minutes late and already the bridge had been taken over by cadets and their instructors.
Joan McCormick, their new Science instructor was exiting the bridge with a golden uniformed cadet he assumed was Damion, and a teal uniformed one- Fenal Yevar.
Another Science cadet- Reman Jeval was at the science console with the hepta instructor- William Ford.
At the helm Travor Gonto had just set a course for the inkpatch, while the security/tactical cadet was busy at the tactical console.
Matthew Reynolds was looking from his console to survey the room every few seconds. When Reynolds eye's met Tony's he immediately flushed and retreated to his work. The Captain grinned and let the operations cadet agonize over being caught off task by the captain.
Tony walked over to S'reena who relinquished her seat with a grin, "Kept it warm for you, captain."
They went over the status of the ship, before S'reena asked for a report from sickbay.
"BeTor here, everything seems in order. We appear to have adequate supplies on board for the moment. I am currently checking through medical profiles of the crew to familiarize myself with any ailments I may need to treat." Came over the intercom. Tony gave a quizzical look at S'reena before responding.
"Thank you, cadet, good work. Bridge out." Tony looked at S'reena. "Was that a Klingon voice I just heard, S'reena?"
"No, sir- half Klingon, that was Cadet BeTor, our medical cadet." Tony nodded. He hadn't heard a Klingon voice for quite a while. Akleth's voice hadn't even graced his ears while he was on starbase, he had been too busy being re-rehabilitated by Yrdis after the last mission's breakdown. Tony felt satisfied now that he had worked through some of the things that had led to his mental break-down.
But now this cadet had him thinking. He hoped she would have a better time of it as a part-human in a human world than he had.
"Very good, I think it's time to call the briefing S'reena, now that the course it set for the Ink Patch." He tapped his combadge, "All cadets and instructors to conference room 3 for the mission briefing, ASAP. Marcell out."
Tony nodded to S'reena and they went to the conference room to receive the senior crew.

The trio headed to the holodeck. It wasn't long before all three of them had entered it. Fenel was nervous about shooting, and Joan had tried to calm her fears.
"The safeties are on, and I see no harm in you trying, but I won't push you. You can watch if you want to. I don't think you should use your eyesite as an excuse though." Joan says, and then she and damion start the program hitting several of the targets. Joan misses one, and he covers her back. They have several rounds in which both start to improve. They have to stop at the beginning of round six, as they hear the captain announce a meeting.
"Well that means us. Come you two, and damion I hope you are ready for a briefing. I suggest we get to the meeting. We will want to join Ford and Jared, and damion you are welcome to join us too." Joan says including the instructorless cadet, hoping she can help him too.
Before entering the meeting, she spies a couple of cadets, and shakes her head disapprovingly.
"Cadets, please join us. This is important." Joan says, and both move to come into the meeting.

Fenel had never shot a phaser before, but found it to be much more simple then she'd expected. Her aim began at 56% and rose to 78% by the end of the simulation. When Joan called it quites she was almost dissapointed.
On Bolarius she'd always avoided things that required vision or hearing, her parents had been deligent in warning her that she could never possibly measure up the other kids and that trying would only bring dissapointment. Instead they pushed her in her schoolwork and she'd excelled. It was only within the last few years that she challenged them and took up photograhy and then outright defied their wishes by applying for Starfleet. Only when the academy sent her a note of congradulations did her parent's even realise she'd taken the exam. They tried to convince her to turn it down and take up teaching like her mom, or even writing. But she had refused, and left Bolarius IX unreconciled with her parents.
As the trio (soon joined by two other cadets) headed to the Breifing room Fenel realised she sisn't have time to write up a report on the sensor Grid for Commander Ford. She'd either have to give it oraly, or ask for an extension. The room was crowded with the large cadet population and the extra staff with only limited seating available. "Perhaps we should be doing this in the mess.' Fenel laughed as she looked around the room. A few of the other cadets smiled nervously from where they stood near the back, Fenel joined them, leaving the seats open for ranking officers

Taking a ready position beside the helm console, Commander Bern and I watched the cadet go through the complex task of departing space dock and setting course for the ink patch.
Once we were well on our way I gave the cadet an approving nod and asked commander Bern if he had ever been at the helm of an Intrepid class starship.
"No Commander. I haven't." Bern replied.
"Please call me DJ, that is if that doesn't bother you. I like to be on a first name basis with my friends and shipmates." I said with a disarming smile before looking over at Commander Hope and winked.
"So Cadet, is there anything that you forgot to do?" I asked the cadet as Commander Bern looked over at me with a knowing smile that nicely turned his back away from the helm console and brought Commander Hope sliding out of her seat.
"Perhaps Commander Bern will be nice enough to take the helm and show you what you forgot.

James was late. He hated being late. Back on the starbase he had suddenly been called into an emergency meeting, causing the Hanson to leave without him. Luckily, a shuttle had been available to transport him to the Hanson after all, although it meant that he had to arrive several hours after departure. James just hoped the others had kept his Cadets, Shikako Kedzie and Mathew Reynolds, busy enough. The last thing he wanted was bored Cadets on their first trip in space.
The turbolift doors opened and James stepped onto the Bridge. Captain Marcel and Commander Hope looked up as he entered. "Good afternoon Captain, Commander," James said. "There was a slight emergency on Conqueror so I couldn't leave earlier, but the good news is I'm here. The bad news is I haven't got a chance to meet my Cadets. If I'm right there should be a Miss Shikako Kedzie and a Mr Mathew Reynolds, correct?"
<TAG: Captain, Commander Hope>
James walked forward and shook the hands with the Captain and the XO. James had never served with Captain Marcel and he only vaguely knew Commander Hope. This would be interesting.

After Fenel stood at he back of the group Damion decided it was probably a good spot to stand. He walked over and joined her hoping she wouldn't mind. He had found it amusing how she stumbled with her phaser at first in the holodeck but picked it up quickly. Damion was always a good shot because of the competitions he entered , and considered the idea of later asking Fenel to join him in the Holodeck for extra practice after their duty shift ended... Being the kind of person he is Damion kept a PADD of information on his CO's at all times...until he got to know them better... reading it in his head waiting for the meeting to start he realized the Klingon he saw in sick bay was not the only one on board , and now that he looked at the captain , who he hadn't formally met yet.. he noticed the ridges on his head. He stared back at his PADD and just waited for His Captain to start the meeting.

As Commander Gordon distracted Commander Seth, S'reena quietly moved in and placed the whooping cushion right on the seat before the Hepta CNO would seat himself. She caught the glance of the captain, and silently shook her head.
S'reena had saved the cushion as a memento of the previous CNO cadet, who had moved on to become a doctor instead. ~too bad~ S'reena thought ~she was a good navigator~ She smirked at Gordon, who smiled right back at her, and seated herself looking innocently about the bridge.
Earlier, Marcell had called for a briefing and in a few minutes they'd all be filing into the briefingroom. At Marcell's beckon, she followed him and suppressed a smile when she heard a loud noise followed by a surprised and embarassed yelp. ~yes!~ she thought, as she left the bridge.

YrDis watched the whoopie cushion antics of the First Officer. Unfortunately, Ornara had never invented these devices. He would have to take a sample back and see if there was any interest in them. As counsellor, officially he would have to hold himself above this type of silliness, but he still had to supress a smile when Commander Seth sat down and the rasp of escaping air puncutated the bridge of the Hanson.
YrDis looked over the Sarlina. She was grinning as Seth sprang back up from his chair and looked in shocked surprise at what had made the noise. She looked back at him and said "It's just like being back at the Academy."
"Yes cadet, but the Hanson is a bit more relaxed than a full Starfleet vessel" he replied. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the Captain and S'Reena head for the briefing room. Nodding at Cadet Vise, the two of them followed and sat down. YrDis pulled out a PADD and placed it in front of him on the table so that he could take notes during the briefing.

Matt was sitting at the far end of the table waiting for the Captain and Commander Hope to come in and brief them. Matt had made certain that he would not be last. After the Captain had caught him staring at the activities of the other cadets and instructors, Matt felt utterly embarrased.
Hopefully the Captain wouldn't hold that against him. People continued to walk into the meeting room, and pretty soon it started to get a little warm. Thankfully the Captain and the Commander walked in, but for some reason they were both laughing as they came in. Wonder what's so funny thought Matt.

OOC: Bit slow, sorry! Trying to catch up. Work is so inconvient...
IC: E’Liana hesitated slightly, looking from the technician to the bridge officers. Considering that the technician had received help to get to sickbay, and wasn’t capable of explaining his own condition, she decided that he was in most need of help. She turned to him to try to assess his condition.
“We are needed on the bridge Doctor.”
”Give me a few minutes to stabilise this man’s condition and I shall be with you, sir.” She replied, indicating for them to seat themselves on a bio bed or two.
Turning back to the injued technician, she noticed he was moaning and seemed to be in a lot of pain, grasping his right arm to his chest. “I need 5 CC’s of Kayolene and a Dermal Regenerator.”
She was handed the hypospray, loaded it and inserted the correct dosage, then injected it slowly into his neck and watched as he gradually started to relax. Afterwards, E’Liana took the dermal regenerator and began work on his arm, noting a strain. ~He must have landed on it when he fell due to the explosion… ~
“Are you injured anywhere else?” he patient shook his head. She gently pressed his legs. “Can you move your legs for me please? Yes, that’s good. And your other arm? Right, that’s good!” She smiled at him.
“Okay, I’ve fixed your arm, but it’ll be tender for a few days so watch out. I’ve started to regenerate the burns on your face, but Rachel will take over now -” She nodded at Rachel, handing her the regenerator. “If you need to, use Cordrazine for the burns, but let me know beforehand okay? Keep me posted please.”
E’Liana now turned her attention on the bridge officers. Okay, you said you had a headache?” Captain Marcell nodded, wincing. “I’ll give you a little Rexalin for that, it should help clear your head a little. Aside from the painkillers, there’s little I can suggest apart from maybe drinking some water and taking it easy for a few minutes. Wait for me to treat Mr Gordon here and you should feel a bit better.”
She decided to administer Rexalin to Gordon as well, and used the Dermal Regenerator once again to fix the minor scrapes.
Dr Black stepped forward. “Computer, end program. Well done, cadet. I’ll let you know how you did later, but right now, we need to make our way to the Conference Room.”
“Lead the way sir, I’ve yet to remember where things are…”
OOC: I realise I’ve repeated myself in regards to the meds, but I hope that’s okay. Was trying not to copy you ;-)

I was in my quarters at the time when damion came to see how i was doing, we greeted each other and then we both sat down and had a chat about security work, and whilst i was doing on about everything that came in to my head, Damion shouted out very loudly DAMN ghost we have been sitting here for 10 minutes talking away and i just realised that we were both late for our security work.so we both got sorted and left my quarters and quickly ran to posts on the bridge;as we just entered the bridge we were both approached by the captain;we both thought that we were in deep trouble. until the commander said ghost, damion could you both please do a routine security check around the ship ASAP please and report back to me when you have completed it. for a minute we thought something was wrong but we had to do it quickly so we did and we got it over and done with. when we finally got back to the bridge we approached the commander and ask her was there something wrong at all; and she replied no, i just thought as you two were late i would get you to do something else rather then spend all your time on the bridge. then me and damion said Commander what should we do now, she replied just report back to your quarters untill further notice.

“All cadets and instructors to conference room 3 for the mission briefing, ASAP. Marcell out.” Kedzie heard the call more from the actual Captain then from her commbadge.
Since she was a civilian, not even a real Cadet, Kedzie was a little cautious entering the briefing room, and followed Matt carefully. She didn’t think that she’d be thrown out, since she was training in a Starfleet position, but that didn’t mean that she should call attention to herself. Kedzie stepped to be near the back of the over-crowded briefing room, figuring that it should be easy to escape most people’s notice. Unfortunately it seemed that most of the other Cadets had also decided on the back of the room, so Kedzie found herself standing nearer to the front than she might have liked.
Matt was sitting, so Kedzie stood somewhat close to his chair. After all, they were both training for Operations so it didn’t make the most sense for them to have to shout at each other across the table if they needed to discuss something. Although it might be mildly amusing for everyone else, it would become boring after a while.
